Elegant Designs Day Spa

I booked a spa day here last Saturday. I was greeted by a woman with red hair with “You’re here for a facial? Please fill out the paperwork .” The front desk was a mess, with papers and stuff strewn about two desks. It was my first experience getting a facial and was really excited to relax and get some pampering. I was also looking forward to a nice mani/pedi. During my facial I let her know I didn’t know what to expect and had never done this before. She didn’t take the time to explain the steps or what to expect. While extracting white heads she didn’t give any warning to being poked or prodded with a small scalpel and being squeezed hard. I flinched when she squeezed really hard and she asked what was wrong. Told her it hurt a lot more than expected and she said “Well like I tell my goddaughter you just got buck up.” I had to ask for after care instructions to which she said “Oh well just don’t put anything on for the next few hours that’s all.” I asked if there would be bruising or swelling where she extracted she said no but I had swelling for two days and a red scan under my eye for three. Coworkers asked if I was scratched by something. My pedicure was fine but by manicure was not. While my cuticles were overgrown as she was able to make them look nice again my nail polish chipped so bad and my nails look awful. I wish I would have booked at another salon that was a little more informative during treatments and better products for manicure. I am going on a family vacay soon and will need to get my mani redone.

Love going to Elegant Design for my hair cuts, manicure, pedicure, facial waxing and facials! I have been going here for over 20 years. Candy has become a very good friend besides being my stylist.

I really needed a lift. Candy was perfect and professional! Candy was able to take me as a walk in and shampoo, cut and dry my hair! She listened to what I wanted and I loved it! Also had my eyebrows waxed. She is great! I found my spot here and plan to go back!

I recently had my first appointment here, super cute salon and Candy is so kind and awesome! The pedicure was just wonderful and relaxing. Thank you Candy!

I want to leave constructive review. The nail tech was very nice, pleasant and welcoming. I feel when a customer comes in they are looking to have a relaxing experience. By the time I left I knew a lot about her family. Im happy she felt comfortable enough to share, but a bit unprofessional. Also, the nail tech blew her nose several times and left the tissue on the nail cart. The pedicure was not the best, my cuticles were not touched, just pushed back. I actually took about an hour for the basic pedicure. Not the relaxing experience that I was needing.

Candy is the best!!! She always finds a way to get me in due to my busy work schedule. My hair color is perfect and I get nothing but compliments. I will not even begin to look somewhere else!! Candy I personally thank you for being such a terrific professional!! I also had my first pedicure in my life. I never had one before because I was embarrassed that my toenails were so damaged and ugly, but Jodi was so professional and made me feel comfortable. She did a fantastic job and I was able to wear sandals for the first time in 22 years. If you havent visited this team, you are missing out!!!

Ive been going here for almost ten years and I have never thought about going anywhere else. Candy does my hair and nails and she is extremely talented. My coloring and cut are always perfect and Candy is extremely reliable and consistent, she gets to know the clients and can make recommendations for products based on your personal preferences. I highly recommend this place!

I never leave reviews, especially bad ones. The atmosphere was nice and so were the people. The actual massage however was not good. The (very sweet) woman didn’t seem capable of deep pressure, despite repeated requests.I feel like I wasted 65$, which is a fair amount of money for me. If you like firm pressure you might want to look elsewhere.

My friend and I recently came to this location for a spa day. I have thought about this for several days before deciding to leave a review. The spa is quaint and unusual, the garden area view is very neat---they have tons of plants, flowers, a small pond and small creatures(turtles, lizards, fish, chipmunks). Facial and shampoo/blow out were fabulous. Mani/Pedi were good. The 3 stars are for these services. If you are looking for these services, book with confidence.Massage was not good. I spoke with my friend and she had a similarly poor massage.The package we purchased included a Swedish massage. The therapist asked where I was having tension/trouble and then did not pay particular attention to them, she did not rub my shoulders at all. She sat on a rolling stool for the entire massage and used massage strokes similar to petrissage (a kneading massage stroke) all the pressure came from the side due to her sitting down. Swedish massage utilizes the effluerage (long, sweeping and sometimes circular) strokes, these strokes help encourage movement in the lymphatic system and usually go towards the heart. This is the massage I was expecting. This therapist massaged entirely side to side, which I have never experienced before in my life.

My wife has been going here for a few years now and wont go anyplace else. She always gets compliments on her hair color and it does look great. Also has her nails done for special occasions and they always looks great.

Kristen is a wonderful massage therapist, and Candi does perfect with hair. I love this place.

Not clean. Hair chunks on the robes. Filthy used flip flops and slippers in wet ziplock baggies. Walked out immediately.

Candy, Jodi and Kris know how to take care of us! Look forward to my visits every month!
