I’ve been going to this location regularly since they first opened about 3 years ago. For work, I may stand for a long number of hours teaching or on a computer coding and so come for feet and shoulder massages every other week or so with the occasional full body massage.I really like the atmosphere and the fact that it is conveniently located. I’ve gotten to know most of the staff and the owner. Tiffany, Wendy and others make sure my pain points are addressed.Although there is a language barrier, I’ve always assumed the burden is on me to communicate what I need. Once I do, they are always happy to oblige and really go above and beyond what’s needed. Often the staff will add tiger balm and other medicines, because they’ve come to treat me like family. Occasionally I’ll bring the staff coffee, bubble tea or donuts.Instead of having a purely transactional relationship, I’ve developed a personal relationship with the owner and staff and that has made the experience one of the best massage experiences in Astoria.I also love the plush couches and big windows where I can just daze and people watch or enjoy the night lights of Broadway while getting a soothing foot or shoulder massage.

I’ve been here a handful of times and each time I felt they were professional, effective and clean. I like when a massage actually works out knots and don’t mind a bit of discomfort knowing I’ll feel so much better after and my massage today accomplished exactly that. The hot stones and oil are helpful but the technique is superb.

Absolutely one of the best spots to come to. I do a lot of lifting and carrying at work and I come here every month to just relax my body and get all the kinks out. After a 1hr massage, I always feel Brand New when I leave here. By far, the best service in all the places Ive been for massage. Relaxing environment, very well kept, and very clean.

I wanted to love this place so I went today and brought two of my friends with me. Well, place is quiet and the staff is RUDE! massage poorly executed, I had a migraine right after and the worst body ache ever even the day after! First they were about to give me a male masseuse without even asking, so I said no. The lady they gave to me was very rough! She kept asking me if it was okay and said no but she kept going! They don’t tell you that it’s going to be rough, she almost burnt me with hot stone, and then cold oil?! I felt uncomfortable the whole time, and I got home with a big physical headache after the worse massage ever! She also didn’t even touch my feet, which was what I wanted the most! I tipped and my friends as well but I doubt we will be back. Sad bc we are a part of a huge Astoria group and we are always looking for good massage in our area and to recommend it to others and this was not the case. I wish I could ask for a refund! Save yourself time and go somewhere else!

I called to make a change to my reservation with a partner, they called before I knew and the owner got annoyed and hung up on Me. The massage was good and was timed for an hour. Tipping culture gets out of hand at this place. I thought I was doing a good deed leaving a $6 tip but the owner practically begged me to leave a $10 tip. My partner was chased out the door to leave a $10 as well. I was fine with the $120 hour massage but chasing me outside the facility for a $20 tip is crazy. Money isn’t the issue but the money hungry approach was astonishing. I won’t be coming here again. They can’t even update their outside view, they have graffiti on their front signs.

Torture chamber. Worst massage I’ve ever had. I left covered in scratches and bruises. Kept massaging on my spine and bones. Numb tingling sensation down my arms and fingers now. Very wild experience.

THE WORST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE! I got it on Sunday with my girlfriends, left in severe pain, headache, and today is Wednesday and my body still hurts! I should sue them for their unprofessional behavior and for hurting me! DISGUSTING! I told the masseur it was hurting me, but she kept going. I left a tip because theyre so rude, but Im never coming back. SHOULD SUE this place!!

Worst so called massage EVER. i never write reviews but had to, as this place was a joke.An hour of a woman rubbing oil up and down my back repeatedly in the same area or simply pushing down hard with her elbow in one place.. i kept waiting for the real massage to actually begin!! At one stage i did ask her if she could do my neck and shoulders as thats my biggest area of pain.. She heard me but continued to just rub them. Never actually used her fingers/hands to massage the areas Biggest waste of money and an hour of my life!!.gone!! Dont go!!! PS..the young woman at the front desk was incredibly rude,standoffish, and dismissive... She certainly would not encourage you to come back! 🙄Terrible customer service!

My massage was bad. The masseur worked too quickly. After 15 minutes, she had massaged my whole body, so they repeated the same pattern 4 more times. This made the experience repetitive and unpleasant.Here are some other specific problems:1. They didnt ask me about my body before the message. I had to stop my masseur and warn her that certain parts of my back were sensitive because she went ahead with her routine before saying a word to me.2.They didnt flip me over to do the front of my body. This was particularly problematic because of the aforementioned issue with repetition. They overdid one side of my body but didnt touch the other.I understand its not a resort spa at the 4 seasons hotel, but these are fixable problems. Ask what a person wants you to know, dont rush, and do the front and the back. Simple fixes that could have made the experience much better.

I love this place! Me and my boyfriend keep going back and we even got the free massage after 10 visits. Staff is great and yes, expect to Tip 20% or more as it is the normal thing to do at any Chinese spa. I dont mind it at all as their prices are still competitive. I also love the fact that spa zone is clean and it looks more like a spa not just a room with a bunch of curtains and table like other Chinese spas.

We went after book an appointment (3 days in advance) The employee’s attitude changed when we showed the gropoun. She refused to give us the service and said the only way we could get a massage is to pay in cash or card and we could use the gropoun another time. If this is not a scam, I don’t know what a scam is. I already disputed the charge with my bank. I will never go back to that business even if the service was free. I don’t recommend anyone to go there

Diagnosed with dermatitis after my 1h massage 💆‍♂️ at this spa..I’ve paid cash 💵 as it was required and requested when I’ve made the reservation. No bill or receipt 🧾 of any kind was given, but I have to warn others to be aware and careful when using this facility..Note 📝 to the employees .. Wash your hands ..

Came here for the first time and it was such a great place to treat yourself. I had my massage which was so relaxing and forget about facial . It was excellent. Tiffany was great she did my facial and I already feel my skin very smooth and glowing. Her hands are magic . Really loved the facial and all the ladies here are so nice and friendly.This place looks very fancy and calm . Perfect for yourself and best gift to offer to your loved ones and friends.Coming back again .

I have been a loyal costumer for a year now, my fiancé and I have tried all their masseuses. The are all amazing, they know pressure points, muscle tensions and really understand the physiognomy. The establishment is clean and quite.The owner is very sweet, kind and great costumer service. Please disregard the negative reviews, (those people who know nothing about how hard it is to have a business)I’m in the aesthetics industry myself and also provide massages. I have tried tons of places in Astoria and this is the best gem! Worth every penny.

I like this place. It feels more spa-like than other massage places I’ve been to in the city that offer straightforward, traditional massage therapy for competitive prices. I always tip, so I haven’t had issues.

I come here consistently for a couples massage. Great price and a great experience. My partner gets a swedish massage and I get a deep tissue and we walk away feeling refreshed every time. The massage therapists are responsive to feedback so if its too hard, tell them and theyll readjust.

Great massage & facial! Made a walk in appointment the same day for my mother in law and I, we ran into a little traffic before our appointment so we were late. I walked in and they said no worries, she had to wait a little longer to get started on her facial, she said she had the best facial massage ever and her skin was hydrated. I have no complaints about the massage, my misuse asked me 3x if the pressure was good and checked if I liked the hot stones temp. Only 2 small complaints, the lady who did my MIL’s facial asked for tip and eyeballed us. (you shouldn’t ask for a tip) tips are based on the service and are done willingly. And 2nd, when my MIL had to wait the male manager from the front walked in during my massage to let me know I would be waiting 30 more minutes for her to be done and I was basically naked, no knock on the door or anything which was weird but overall great massage and facial. VERY CLEAN SPA which is a plus.

Dany was excellent and all the recommendations for him, but I dont recommend you to get a massage if you dont want to get sick, its too cold, they dont have heating, they dont have blankets, two more people entered the room while I was getting a massage! Except for the masseur, everything is horrible!

Everyone on these reviews are telling the truth. They force you to tip, if you forget. They will charge the card an unauthorized %40 tip after. Nasty people and no sense for customer service. They only care to make that quick money instead of nurturing a long healthy clientele business. What a joke of a business.

The massage was good but the simple fact that I was told I have to pay taxes because I used Groupon , no big deal. I let the gentlemen run my card for 5.47 . I didn’t leave the tip( not on purpose) but they went back and charged my card 15.00 .When I called two days later ( that’s when I checked my account ) I then called asked why and was told basically because I didn’t leave a tip and male voice was rude about it ..I do agree I should’ve left a tip but the simple fact that your a business and EXPECT EVERYONE TO TIP and RUDE ABOUT ITIsn’t business ethical AT ALLTHAT IS DEFINITELY money hungry and will NEVER do business with them again

I’ve been to Spa Zone twice this month and am very happy to have found this spot! The staff are very professional and both times, I was accommodated on very short notice for a 2 hour massage. The massage therapist I’ve seen twice now is Amy and she is very sweet and excellent at deep tissue! The prices are great too, so make sure you tip your massage therapist well (I tip $30 on a 2 hour). I highly recommend this place and Amy! Oh yeah, and it’s clean too so I would disregard the other reviews saying otherwise.

First visit was great, second visit was all right. the first masseuse was gentle, while still being effective. the second time around my masseuse was rough and burped once while kept clearing his nose which kept interrupting my peace. i’d go back again, but try to request a specific the first masseuse if possible. there’s a bell on the door which is probably beneficial for the masseuse if they’re understaffed, but disruptive for those of us getting massages. reasonably priced. definitely one of my favorite spots in Astoria queens for the price.

Got this place as a gift for my daughters off of Groupon which was great it was the first ever going. The massage was good but the manager was really nasty and rude to my daughters. They didn’t have any extra cash on them. So my daughter explained that she has and other voucher to come back she said she would double tip next time so the manager got and mad and rude and told to leave and cancel for the next week because they didn’t tip. It’s not mandatory to tip nor is it a must you are paying for a service. I recommend to stay far and clear from this place.

I found this place on Groupon, and they seem to have really good reviews on there. It honestly slipped my mind to check google reviews. At first, the massage started off good , it started to get painful. Kept having to tell her it hurts. When it came time for the hot stone it was extremely HOT .!! Kept having to tell her about that as well. When it came time to pay, I totally forgot to include the tip being i didn’t have any cash. Only had 5 cash. I’m kind of glad I didn’t tip because the gentlemen in the first tried to tell me how much I should tip. Which I find extremely disrespectful because a tip is NOT mandatory. I’m paying for my SERVICE. When I gave the lady my $5 tip (which is the only cash i had) she looked at it as if she was disgusted, giggled, and said something in her language. They are extremely disrespectful in there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.!!

HARD PASS. I’ve been trying to get my lashes done here for months because I bought a Groupon. I scheduled an appointment with them over the phone and confirmed it multiple times. Then I show up and the guy tells me that the lash lady is out on vacation and they booked me incorrectly. I tried rescheduling multiple times. I called two weeks in advance to make an appointment. I again, confirm with them multiple times and reiterated that the last time I was there, they told me the lash lady was out. They told me over and over that the booking is confirmed and will be good. I showed up to my appointment and AGAIN the guy says that the lash lady is out.Don’t bother with this place. Unprofessional, unreliable, and a huge waste of sanity, time, and money.

I got the Swedish massage. It was so relaxing and so good. 10/10.

Great massage! I had back pain because have to watching screen all the time, It was very painful! This was my first time here. Feeling extremely relax and comfort after massage here.

I am a person that needs a massage at least once a month, during lunch breaks. Maybe its because I dont sleep well and get tired at work and many times a quick neck rub at a nail salon does the trick. I gave this place a shot and was impressed with the place. 1. It is immaculate and clean - probably the cleanest spa massage place in Queens. I dont feel creeped out like I probably would had I visited some other sketchy places in the area. This is a legit massage place. 2. The massage was professional and the table they used is solid. Overall a great massage, clean place, reasonably priced for a 30 minute massage. They ended with a quick hot stone rub and hot towel clean up. My only issue was that they used oils which are OK, but I prefer lotion to oil because I am heading back to work. All in all, you wont find a better massage place in Astoria. They also have the poles above the table where you can get a traditional walk on your back massage. My new go to.

This is the worst establishment ever !! They have bed bugs, They are very much racist towards black people. They tried to charge me an extra $20 for a tip that I did not approve of. The masseuses were very lazy & did not do a full body massage which is what I paid for. To top it off the manger was very rude & told me not to come back because I wouldn’t give him the tip he wanted me to give. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The Spa Zone is fantastic, at least for the two times that I visited. Excellent atmosphere, experienced staff. And friendly highly recommended.

Twice I went to this place and they seem to want to expose their customers. The last time I went and the girl decides to open the door to the private room just as she was pulling the towel down on me! And if that wasn’t enough when I had decided I couldn’t trust her for the rest of the massage the male seeming manager barged in on me when I was just in a towel. I felt completely violated and left. It’s a real shame they don’t observe a persons privacy because it’s a nice looking place. They would’ve gotten a lot of business from me otherwise.

Just got out of this spot. Massage was great! It Hurted a lil but maybe thats normal(it was my first time ever)... However I dont like how they tried to be slick.. I only wanted a 30 minute massage but received an hour & I obviously didnt notice because I wasnt looking at my phone during the massage... then I get to the front to pay it was $55 which was fine since I did have more time in the room... but what I didnt like was that the lady in the front was going to give me one of those cards for recurring customers but since I only had a $5 tip & not $10 like they wanted she didnt give it to me...The lady gave me back my $5 LOL but in the end she took it... Normally I wouldnt care about the extra $5 for tip but they were seriously money hungry & thats all the cash I had on me.. wont be back that definitely rubbed me the wrong way..

AmaZing job on my mink eyelash extensions! Very kind and attentive staff, who went above and beyond to help create a doll-eye look for a photoshoot. 2 weeks in the desert and the eyelashes are still strong. Will be coming back for a massage, soon.

Spa Zone is great. The staff is friendly, professional, and very accommodating. Every visit has been clean, relaxing, and throughly refreshing. Ive never experienced anything questionable, or unhygienic. Splurge on a 90 min session and treat yourself!

I keep seeing this bad reviews here and I’m very confused. I’ve gotten 4 massages here and they have all been excellent. Definitely in the stronger side, but they know what they’re doing.
