Oscars Bar

Randall the bartender has run me out of the bar without ordering anything on at least two occasions now. I made an effort to arrive in the advertised time of 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday for interesting cocktails as opposed to the standard fare of rum-and-coke, vodka-sprite, whiskey-soda, etc. Randall gaslighted me, saying that the cocktail emphasis ended at 7 p.m. There was exactly one other customer in the bar besides my party of three, yet he wouldnt give me ten seconds to express what I was looking for. I wasnt aiming for special treatment, but as soon as he decided I wasnt from around here, he was uninterested in our business. We went to Felixs instead and had a nice normal bar experience. I wont be suggesting Oscars to my friends again.

Always a fun time to be had here! They have various nightly themes to keep the mundane workweek interesting! The new Retro Wednesdays are a lot of fun! Go see Chad for a great cocktail!

Went on Wednesday 3/27 and the bouncer (white male with grey hair) literally stuck his arm out in front of me and shoved me back. I was not aware that they had a private event going on, but I would have appreciated it if he hadnt touched me. Oscars usually doesnt have a great vibe anyway, better to go to the following spots around it like Felixs, Eagle, Mixx, Friends on Ponce, etc. Very rude though.

Were from Syracuse, NY. We loved it here. Nice atmosphere, great service and conversation. Good time. Well definitely be back.

First time visiting this place while in town for New Years Eve and while I had a great bartender, one of the other bartenders was one of the rudest most unsanitary gay men to ever set foot behind a bar. He was only wearing a jacket with no shirt, every so often he would scratch his behind then make a drink, without washing his hands, this was in addition to consistently texting and ignoring his patrons, and what’s worse he skipped over two Lady Gaga songs in favor of some cheap bubblegum pop artist. A gay man with such disgusting taste in music and sanitary habits shouldn’t be allowed anywhere in this type of establishment.

Came into this bar and was having an amazing time. A friend was sitting at the bar and was thrown out for no reason by their door guy Josh whom was not working and was off. Josh was drunk and overly aggressive and inappropriate all night. The staff ended up handling this situation above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anyone. It has such an inclusive vibe and they were truly caring a concerned with our wellbeing. Josh should 1000% be fired. However ever other employee was not only amazing but someone I want to be friends with.

My first time coming here I just wanted to go to singing karaoke because I never did and it was amazing friendly people and I absolutely enjoyed my time there

Great experience! We’re from out of town and and got to experience all kinds of Atlanta flavor. Randy makes drinks in a timely fashion and have you dancing like a Ariel after she got legs ant one point Sebastian was there playing the drums.. I’m pretty sure.

Bartender aka “owner” was extremely rude, I ordered a drink and he refused to serve me, didn’t give an explanation, then he had me escorted out with no explanation, I don’t want to jump the gun but I feel like race played a part in the poor service and experience. Definitely won’t be coming back to this place, don’t recommend anyone of color to come here either.

Oscar’s provides a neighborhood comfortable feel with a sleek, clean environment, surround TVs with upbeat music videos. Amazing, talented, experienced bartenders. Randall is so friendly , cheerful, remembers your favorite drink and not hard on the eyes.

Randall was amazing and so friendly! The vibe here is welcoming and fun and I’m definitely coming back. All good people and the staff are wonderful.

This is a great bar with kind and welcoming staff! Definitely a neighborhood friendly bar, but also a great place to meet quality people. Sue and Randall are amazing souls and go above and beyond service. They’re family 💙

Beware of this place! The one time I go in there for one drink with a friend (2 drinks total)… they charged me close to $50. That was after they gave me the wrong tab to start with. When I returned (10 mins) about the wrong tab, my real tab was nowhere to be found. I checked my acct & they had already closed my real tab for almost $50 when it was supposed to be ~$22. Mistake? Possibly… the bartender, however, initially told me to contest it with my bank. Really?!!! Once I asked for a manager, another bartender came up & corrected the bill. I’m still waiting for it to reflect on my account. I will be keeping a close eye on it. Totally unacceptable.

The bar used to be fun but now the bartenders are fake/used up. beware Russel who is the most toxic of the bartenders managed to slither🐍 his rooster necked self to the hideaway!.The bathrooms are “always”dirty and the drinks are bad.The bar is low key prejudice I don’t recommend comeing to this septic tank.

Hidden gem of a bar! Oscar’s Atlanta is an amazing neighborhood bar with a clean and welcoming atmosphere, but the real attraction is the staff. Randall is a standout, he’s astonishingly witty and attentive. I would definitely recommend it to the LGBTQIA+ community!

I love coming to Oscars! I grew up in Atlanta and make sure to come to Oscar’s and get taken care of by Randall (the best bartender ever) everyday after work.

We stumbled upon this place on a Thursday night and was able to see a Drag Show. Drinks are Pretty strong here too.

This is a good establishment if you want to grab a drink with friends or go solo and see what the night brings. Great service by the bartenders and a friendly environment to all walks of life.

Great spot. Its always been my favorite place to begin and end an evening in midtown. Be respectful and friendly... And the bartenders will take excellent care of you. Oscars is the home of the Atlanta Sting softball team.

Visited this bar a few nights ago the bartender with the full black beard is rude as hell! And the other bartender told me he didn’t even want him there because he wasn’t doing anything. So I order a few drinks and wanted my tab he was too busy flirting with the other bartender customers that he wasn’t paying me any attention. After the other bartender got him for me I pay my tab and leave him a 10 dollar tip. He yells “you’re awesome” how rude maybe if he had some class and education he would have gotten more I should of only gave him a 5 next time I will do that.

Russell and Randell are the two hottest and friendliest bartenders in the city. If you like being totally flattered and taken care of, come to Oscars.

I went with my husband tonight and we were having fun until the bartender (David is his name)started going off on us in front everybody for taking a selfie. He was rude and disrespectul. He told us (yelled at us ) to interact with other people instead of takin selfies (like in the ol days he said) but we were doing our on thing havin fun on our date as a couple . We went there just to have drinks and have a good time ,at first we thought he was kidding but he kept going off and off until he made us feel embarrass. So disappointing this was a good place to go for us. We felt harrassed. He was just being rude. PS, the bartender should mind his own business not what the customers are doing.

If you are black or any other ethnicity than white. I do not recommend going here. This bar is racist and they will tell you to your face that they do not like black people. Please stay away. It’s very disturbing and unprofessional how they treat people here. I will never step foot in this establishment again.

Messy Karaoke is among the best. You can hear yourself and they music. They can switch keys for you in the fly. There is an app you can install to not use the three shared computers.

Im glad to see Oscars has reopen. Its a cozy place to enjoy a cocktail, chat, and watch the video wall. Drinks are priced reasonably and the only gripe one can have is the size of the establishment makes difficult to deal with smokers, and you will leave the bar with the stench of cigarette smoke in your clothes.

Randall provided the best service! Had a great time. Check this place out on Fridays!

The bar manager (Chad McDaniel) is very racist and I would never recommend anyone black or of color visiting this establishment. It’s not safe for us.

Oscars is a quaint little sit down bar with a friendly staff and fun bunch of regulars. Karaoke night is especially fun and the bartender, Chad is a riot!

Excellent neighborhood LGBT bar. Music is NOT too loud. Friendly regulars with great hosting of local events which brings in fresh faces regularly.

It was very slow but it was a Wednesday. The place was well air conditioned and clean. Drinks were tasty and the bartender was very sweet.

This is a nice little bar with fun staff Great drinks.. I dont however like the smoke. It is a bit much to deal with in such a little place.

Sunday evenings after 6 p.m. there is no bartenders there all in the parking lot and dont take care of their customers. They too busy doing cocaine next door
