Stayed at the Golden Nugget a couple of weeks ago and it was an excellent stay! The room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and parking was super easy. The hotel felt very safe. The pool area is super nice with hot tubs, regular pool, and shallow pool with lounge chairs in it. The only thing I would say about the pool area is that is closes way too early. It closed at like 7pm and while the hot tubs remained open until 11, I think it would have been nice for it all to be open late as the hot tubs can get full and it would be nice to have a swim before bed. Other than that, the price of the room was great, the live band was fun, and the casino is big. The lobby has a retro vibe which I find fun. Great stay overall.
Our go to hotel and casino its off the boardwalk but its nice to be away from that. The pool is wonderful and the food never disappoints. We did not have an updated room so we cant speak about that. I always expect to pay more since you are on vacation but I dont feel like its too over priced. Service at the pool was fantastic.
There were issues (not first time) with the guest room elevators….people were complaining they were waiting upwards of 30 minutes to get in one. As always, table games open were limited to say the least. We were put in a handicap room because there was nothing else available (so we were told). You would think in such a room the bathroom would have had a walk in shower rather than a bath tub that a lot of handicapped people could not use. Also, maybe in the early days after Covid I could understand this, but now we honestly do not want to be served cocktails and/or wine in plastic glasses at the tables. Pretty tacky we feel. Finally, luggage service is limited and slow. Morale amongst the staff (we spoke to) is low.
Came to check in 4:30 , was told rooms were not ready, went to have dinner at Kelsey’s , returned 6:15 to be told room is still not ready… very frustrating with children. Received two $20.00 vouchers for food. Room became ready 7:03pm. Kids are able to swim in pool from 10-2pm only which is weird , didn’t see that on website but it’s everywhere when you arrive… convenient ! Another negative, the pool was closed 3hrs of that time. Kids got to swim for 1hr. I feel like if you want an party atmosphere for adults you should also have a area for kids! I ended up taking my children to showboat water park spending extra money just so they can enjoy pool. I will not return
Location was good. Non-smoking room had a strong old furniture smell. Tried to use the pool after pulling out vehicle from valet to hold our bags the day of check out. Nowhere does it state that coolers (ours was only full of ice) was not allowed in the pool area. Security at the pool was unfriendly, unwilling to help and we gave up our only pool day. Valet staff was extremely friendly and even recommended where to sight see and have a beach day. Overall stay rating would’ve been higher without our experience with security at the pool. This left a very bad taste.
Worst hotel. Never again. Checked in they did not tell us of free parking for hotel guests. Breakfast was expensive and not very tasteful except the toast. Our TV was frozen in the on position and could not turn it off so all night the screen was on omitting a very bright light which made it impossible to sleep. The walls of the rooms are so thin we heard a lot sex sounds from the next room. And out in the hallway it sounded like a track meet. Plus they wanted to add an extra resort fee onto our bill. (I guess it was for the sex show we heard). So please avoid this place.
Shower door didnt connect with the wall so there was water all over the floor. Scammed me for a $100 deposit after we got there. Was told it would be refunded back at the end of my stay. Found out I was charged an additional $32 a day so didnt get the refund back. Kids cant use pool after 2 pm? What sense is that when we were on a family vacation. Sink water only gave hot water. My daughter almost burned her hand from it. Definitely will not stay there again. Also check in time was 4 pm. We got there around 4, had to wait an hour for our room. Had to sit on floor to wait as we were kicked out of the one area because I had kids
This place is disappointing . The bathroom had gnats flying all around the bathroom sink . The mirrors have film on them. The room was a non smoking room but smelled so badly of smoke. The maid started cleaning at 9 am , at the start of the end of our hall and we weren’t even ready to leave the room yet . We left at 9:15 and she was on to the next room and told her we were leaving . Rather than going back one room , she kept going and came back at 5pm when we were getting ready to go out for evening . The gym treadmills have sweat stains all over them. Mirrors have sweat stains and condensation water marks all over mirrors . Hair and dust balls on the gym floor , the water cooler has some nasty over flowed water in the basin. The pool area , the furniture had seagull poop all over the cushions and the glass wall on the. Deck glass wall all soiled with seagull waste . The service at the pool cafe was slow even though there were many waitresses congregating and laughing in the corner . Bartenders were not very friendly. ‘No pool towels available for 20 mins at 11 am on Saturday am.Just an over all aweful hotel to stay. We will never return. Pay the extra $50-75 a night and stay at a nicer hotel for the weekend . I’m so skeeved out and disappointed by oth this place . It’s not like it was cheap to stay Fri and Sat here but you get what you pay for ….. management needs to really make right on the review complaints . Now that I see all the reviews all over , I’m not sure why I stayed her in the first place .Nothing is done about th complaints clearly.
The Golden Nugget I stayed there a long time ago. The pool is fun Great staff beautiful clean room so much fun to just hang around. I can’t wait to go back soon. Thank you for your service Great location food is delicious
Golden Nugget has been my favorite casino hotel in Atlantic City. I recommend you get their players card. You begin to get mailers of what is going on. Its a small enough casino, that you can walk away from your party & still be able to find them again. Great Landrys restaurants with amazing happy hours. Outside marina typically has bands, outdoor pool with bar, lounge chairs, cabanas &:such, spa & gym.
I shouldve known something was wrong when Ive seen this listed on Expedia for the price it was listed at. You literally get what you pay for. I am BEYOND disappointed with this hotel. Ive always wanted to stay at The Golden Nugget.. usually I stay at Oceans, but it was pretty pricey for the dates we went, so my family and I gave Golden a shot for the FIRST and LAST time.First off, before I booked this hotel I called and asked if service dogs are allowed & they said yes, and I would just need to provide a service letter animal and it will also be no fee. I checked into the hotel with my dog on a leash & the hotel staff said nothing. A few days later, my dog was barking and all of a sudden the staff locked me out of my room and told me they are giving me a one-time courtesy of not kicking me out. They let me back into my room, but it kept locking me out.. so I had to go back downstairs to the front desk about 3 times to keep having them come up and help me get back into the room. One of those times, the white lady manager told me they locked me out and they will send someone back up again, and I am getting charged a $250 pet fee, and she also told me that my dog does not qualify as a service animal (I told her I have anxiety and PTSD), and she said that does not qualify as a service animal. The only reason why I did not cause a scene and curse her out was because I had my family along with children staying at this hotel and I did not want to get us kicked out. But she was NASTY.In addition, it looks like a retirement home, rarely any food available on weekdays, no kids allowed in the pool after 2pm (which makes absolutely no sense), and you cant really play music a lil loud in the early afternoon or someone will complain about that as well.IT WAS TERRIBLE. Honestly, they look like they are about to shut down. I rarely leave reviews you guys. But I had to spread awareness about this deserted hotel.
Stayed at the Nugget several times while its pleasant and quieter than the other casino hotels found accommodations starting to show their age, are bed for example had a mattress that was way too soft. The service was great, the staff is professional, friendly, and genuinely want too help. As far as the location yes it is out of the way from the majority of the casinos, so if your interest is hopping from club to club the Nugget is not your place.
Everyone at Golden Nugget does their best to make sure you have a great time. The location on the marina is just beautiful. Eating at Chart House overlooking the water is a highlight. The steak at Vic and Anthonys is mouth watering. The rooms are currently being renovated and I cant wait to return and see the new look. Youre going to have a fabulous time at Golden Nugget - enjoy!!
Asked for handicapped room at check-in. Check-in Clerk said okay then gave us a regular room!Shower leaked all over the floor. It is also very dangerous to get in and out of shower, particularly for handicapped people. There is only a bar on the outdoor door. I slipped when coming out and almost fell. The room decor is dated and the bed is uncomfortable. Some Staff are not very friendly including the Check-In Staff, some male Waiters in Michael Patrick, and Housekeeping. We came back to our room after being gone a few hours and it wasnt cleaned. When we told the Housekeeper in the Hall, she told us to call Housekeeping. We will not stay here again.
We did not book a room because we arrived by boat in the marina. So far, the service was great. For us, the location was also great. And for $2.50 per person, you could take a Jitney bus pretty much anywhere along the boardwalk. Public bus service is also available.
Beds were very comfortable, however the room really wasn’t considered luxury to me . Just like a regular hotel . Should have cost less for what we got . Shower pressure was very heavy . You could hear everything the next room said . People were loud and talking all night long in the room up to 5 am in the morning. 5 stars for the location , the pool , casinos and restaurants. Overall 3 stars .
Stellar casino I won a lot of money there had a great time. Staff was excellent. Machines were ringing bells were whistling. Everything was great. I will go to Golden nugget. Any day of the week!
Good variety of machines. Loved that they had a ticket machine near the casino exit/entrance area (didnt have to go looking for a ticket machine to cash out). Good number of servers coming by taking drink orders. The air ventilation is ok. Parking is posted $10, but they have times when its free (guessing not the weekends or busy times). Waited about 15 minutes before going to the cashier desk to ask for them to send someone to open the machine to get the ticket out.
Pool closes at 7pm now? What kind of hours are those? Ive been staying at this hotel for years and it seems every time Summer rolls around they decided to change their pool/hot tub rules and hours. Back in the day it was open until 10 or 11pm. 7pm is pathetic. I see that the hot tub stays open until then on Fridays and Saturdays (the most expensive days of the week to book). Whoever makes these rules clearly doesnt care about the younger demographic that may be interested in booking a room here. No wonder a majority of the people who stay here now are the elderly. Theyre already in bed by the time the pool closes why would they care?
Our first room was in the older part of the hotel and it was ok. Nothing amazing. For our second night we moved into a suite and it was amazing in comparison. There were two bathrooms, one with a soaking tub and the other with a shower, both had a toilet. The living room and dining area was quite spacious. Very pleased and will stay here again when the opportunity presents itself.
Awesome place. Food was great although expensive. Did not like that to-go orders have an automatic 18% gratuity. Casino clean and a good time. Staff very friendly.
The room was very nice. A floor to ceiling window, full couch and big desk. Probably the nicest room I have ever stayed in for work. Unfortunately the WiFi is garbage. I ended up hot spotting from my phone it was so bad. That’s why it’s not a 5 star rating.
The views are great but the decor needs an upgrade for sure! The bar on the deck closes way too early. They do not seem to attract a crowd anymore. The pool has filthy dirty cushions on every chair, including the lounge chairs. The cushions have been the same ones for years!! The windows overlooking the marina were filthy too. I walked on my bare feet around the pool area as my flip flops were hurting my feet… and the bottom of my feet were black after i got back up to our room. Disgusting! Never do they clean that pool floor area… it is filthy as is everything at that pool area. That is another reason they cannot attract a decent crowd too. Clean up that area please!!
I dont know why this place gets a bad wrap. The casino is very nice. Not too overcrowded. Great places to eat and service is top notch. Shout-out to Micki at Bar 46 and James at Dos Camino. The rooms are very nice. Well definitely be back.
I can not speak of the hotel since I did not stay there but I can comment on the casino. First, everyone we spoke to was super friendly and helpful. My wife and I had a good time playing the games. It was overly crowded or loud. I will tell you that it was a little smokier than some of the other casinos and it isnt as bright and shiny as some of the others in the area. It is somewhat nostalgic and reminds me of how casinos used to be. It felt like more of a locals place. I would definitely visit the casino again.
Not Clean. I have a rash and a swollen eye for the room. The pool area was absolutely filthy.. MY entire stay. I had the housekeeper change my sheets. The sheets We’re not changed and it was noticeable. Trash all over the roof pool area. Elevator system all messed up. I took pictures and left my complaint with the hotel staff. I was disappointed.
We went to the Golden Nugget for a bachelorette party and had a great time! There was live music playing which was amazing! The service was really great and friendly. We found it to be a perfect ambiance for a night of dancing, singing and having fun with friends. Would definitely go back, especially for the live music.
They didn’t tell us the place was under construction when we booked and our entire experience with this place was a nightmare. The parking lot is filled with signs letting you know that you can expect to come back to dust on your vehicle because of the construction. That’s how we found out. We went to check in and the front desk attendants were short with their responses & aren’t welcoming at all. We simply asked about the random additional $32 daily fee they now charge (they didn’t put that in the booking info either) and were met with a lot of attitude for absolutely no reason. I think if you’re going to wait until someone arrives to tell them about construction and extra charges you should definitely expect some questions and be a little nicer about answering. At this point we’ve already made the effort to book this place and drive here so we give it one last chance. We pass the signs apologizing for noise from the construction and go to our room. I’m not exactly sure what the right words are here but it smelled like a cocktail made with expired milk and pickles. Don’t really know how else to describe how repugnant that scent was but it was definitely vomit worthy. Got locked in the bathroom for a solid few minutes because the door wouldn’t move so my sister had to help me push it open from the outside. The pillows had stains on them so it looked like housekeeping put the same bedding on instead of washing between stays. They gave us a wonderful view of the pool, which was closed, and there were chairs tossed everywhere. Nothing about this place is presentable or respectable. We checked in and checked out within the same hour with absolutely zero help from the hotel. We described the situation to our travel agent who explained the hotel was only willing to refund us one night although we had quite literally only booked for the weekend. I don’t know much about running a hotel but making people stay against their will is probably not the best business plan. The agency tried to speak to the hotel again on our behalf but they put us and the agency on a hold for 39 minutes. I promise you they’re not bustling with business at the Golden Nugget where they can’t answer for 39 full minutes. Clearly the priority is not the happiness or wellbeing of the customer here. Our agency felt bad and agreed to cover the rest to get us out of there before we passed out from how bad it smelled. As we walked out we took more notice to our surroundings. The carpets have that musty design that tells you that they don’t vacuum nor wash them and the design hides the dirt. Nobody that we could spot on our way in or out was under the age of 50. You cannot walk to the boardwalk from this hotel and virtually every store in the local area is barred up due to the high crime rate in that neighborhood. Not really sure how this place is advertised as a four star hotel when you’d have better service, hospitality, and cleanliness at a motel 6 probably.
After reading mixed reviews I felt the need to chime in: It was my first time at Atlantic City, I stayed at the Golden Nugget. We had a great experience there, we loved how the casino was right downstairs along with stores & restaurants so we didn’t have to go out if we didn’t feel like it especially late night. The beds were super comfy & the pool was amazing. Now addressing the complaints, I was skeptical after reading them but I had an opposite experience. The shower door is kind of weird as it has a gap next to the toilet but not big enough for water to leak out. Who doesn’t put a towel down when they shower anyway as a mat? The water temperature was perfect & the room & bathroom were beautiful. I recommend doing your research when coming to Atlantic City, the majority of the hotels especially with a casino charge a “resort fee” so it’s not a random fee. If you call they will tell you straight up & if you book online it tells you as well so it’s not a surprise. I did not have an issue with the pool hours for kids ending at 2pm, it’s a casino resort what do you expect? It’s family friendly to a certain extent. I think it’s a perfect balance. I will say this though it is a HIKE to get to your room bc the hotel is so big, you have to take 1 elevator from the garage & another to your room. I would add better signage for people who have luggage & can’t take the escalators bc it was hard to find the elevator for luggages since you have to go through a secret door to get to it. Add signage facing the traffic coming from the garage elevator. My first night I was weary, we decided to have dinner at one of the restaurants & an alarm started blaring throughout the hotel, it took several minutes to get it under control. I approached several security asking what is going on & not one wanted to say or they would say they had to go. Be transparent with your guests bc I was honestly ready to check out so not a good look. Besides the first night, everything was smooth sailing. I wish this hotel was on the boardwalk but it was still in a good location & like 5-7 minutes away from the beach so no biggie. I picked the GN bc of the free parking for guests, make sure you ask for the QR code to validate at check-in.
We had an amazing weekend at the Golden Nugget and thank you to the bartenders and band over at the Rush Lounge. Good times and drinks plus the band was excellent. Our room was perfect and i did not want to leave. The staff are all so nice and we also had an A++++ time at Dos Caminos. They treated us like gold. Thank you again and we will be back.
If you like the excitement of going to Atlantic City but dont want to be over near the boardwalk this is a great place for you. The rooms are well maintained. They have a great bands that play at the bar. The pool is incredible, the only downside is its only open in the summer. Not really a hotel with kids as there is nothing To keep them entertained.
I’m currently here now on vacation and we are not pleased. This hotel is not kid friendly, GenerationX or any other generation friendly. If you’re a baby boomer this place is for you! You can’t make any noise. I had music playing on a weekday around 1pm and I had security knocking on my door telling me to turn the music down. Also the wi-fi kept freezing up, the tv kept freezing up, the room has a musty smell and they kicked my grandkids out of the pool at 2pm. Let me mention that if you want to starve at night this place is for you. There are hardly any restaurants open on the premises except for one restaurant. This place reminds me of a deserted town with tumble weeds rolling around. The next time we will return to Oceans, Ballys or Resorts because we never had any problems at the properties.
Spent the night at the Golden Nugget as attending a show. The room was ready for 4:00 check in, a small issue with the air conditioner but prompt attention and service quickly! Would definitely stay here again
One of the most wonderful stays ever was had in Atlantic City taking place in the Golden Nugget casino/hotel over this past week. accommodations in every which way restaurant service was excellent, my room was exquisite for the right price, and gambling on the casino floor, lets just say was an absolute hit!
Wow what a boring, unexciting, quiet, dull, uneventful, starving experience! I used to enjoy coming to Golden Nugget, because, I loved all the stores and shops and the selection they had available and there prices were not so outrageous; in particular the Bare-Minerals Make Up Store! I had forgotten my makeup at home and we had just gotten to Golden Nugget for a couples long weekend getaway, and so there was a Noway we were driving home to get my makeup even though we live only 45 mins away. We were free & alone for four days, and we planned on keeping that way! Good thing I dont wear alot of makeup! But I was in luck the Bare Minerals store was open and the young lady accommodated my needs and sold me a beginners kit that had a foundation powder, brush, blush powder, brush and a translucent makeup setting powder as well as a bonus mini lipstick and mini mascara all in one lot and it was only $20!!!!!! I think it came in multiple shades and it was absolutely perfect for me and for $20!!! It made the whole trip spectacular for me!!! That was in the summer 2023, fast forward to couple weekends ago summer 2024, we went to Golden Nugget again they housed us one the brand new remodeled 23rd floor I think it was and well what a disappointment! Not a single store was open in the place, NOT ONE! NO food establishments were open for business so we couldnt eat the first night we were there and we got there early before 9!! Forget any concessions or consignment stores being open that was an absolute NO! And the so called newly renovated floor they put us on, didnt look any different then the rooms weve all been in a thousand times at a thousand casino hotels! So no surprises there! And then we gambled the first night and lost hundreds and hundreds never able to get even a little winning in, none at all!!! Just a sad desperate lonely boring environment anymore! Where was all the fun and laughter and excitement and commraderie and good times?!Full Disclosure; We havent found a good time at a good place in a very good long time!! Anyone with some happiness or fun or laughter to share with the rest of us, PLEASE BE SURE YOU DO, WE ALL NEED IT!!!!!!THANKS FOR HEARING ME AND I WISH YOU ALL GREAT HAPPINESS, UBER SUCCESS AND ALL THE BEAUTIFUL IRREVOCABLE LOVE IN THE WORLD!!! BE WELL MY FRIENDS AND STAY FLY!!!!ALL MY GRATITUDE & GRACEJULIA OBRIEN
Locked in our own bathroom for over 40 minutes due to a faulty door (and apparently its happened a lot). Had to scream for help. Finally someone came after 40 minutes of banging the door naked and screaming. The best part? Tried to stay another night because instead of going to bed after our shower, we decided to stay one more day and give the place a chance after being given a different room (and thats it). We were told it would be $300+ that, the previous night wouldve been around $90 (and when proven incorrect with receipts for $200+ previous night rate + a $100 security deposit for the room), he basically called us a liar and rescinded his previous comments.Good luck, cant wait to tell the world about this.

The staff was kind . No way should our experience be blamed on them as I believe our experience lies in the meat market mentality of the Golden Nugget Administration. It seems to me the ventilation in rm 2222 and others is inadequate so therefore the smell of mildew and mold is ungodly ! I spoke to other patrons on this floor and asked them if there rooms smelled and they did not hesitate to confirm that yes they were , so it seems to be a problem that needs to be rectified I for one will not be back for sure… Thank you
Ive been enjoying the Golden Nugget immensely. Theres plenty of slots, restaurants and my room was very comfy with a view of the bay. Im a Jersey girl and love the outside deck and live music 🎶 🎵
Good location. Rooms and casino were nice. Nothing special. Same old Atlantic City casino.
Not a good dinner at chairman club. There were 5 of us eating until a woman comes in with the stroller with a dog in it and sits close to us. Well needless to say we are allergic and then we watched her feed the dog from her dish and we were getting nauseous. I went to complain, went to security, went to the VIP lounge and nobody would help me. It was horrible
This place is a scam. Charged me 164 dollars at check. The person at the front desk said I would receive the full amount at check out. Come to find out they use that hold if you order room service instead on the card on file. This was not brought to my attention beforehand. They move really shady here would not recommend
My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our trip to Atlantic City. The casinos were a great time other than a few rude employees, but the room was out dated and the furniture appeared to be chewed on by a dog. The entertainment center doors were hanging low from hinges. For a non smoking floor, the room had a horrible odor of cigarettes but it is a casino hotel so we weren’t shocked. There was construction going on and at 7am there were loud banging and booms in our room.
LOVE this casino, rooms are clean, food is great, casino is fun and easy to get around without having to walk miles to get to anything. My only complaint is theyre removing my favorite slot machines that Ive been playing forever. 😢
Id say it was a good experience but after being comped 2x it all stopped!! BTW dont waste your time going for Texas holdem been there 3 or more times and the tables were closed!! Inconvenienced me
It was nice. It was clean. Chart House was excellent, Vic & Anthonys was excellent. I enjoyed my time on the casino floor. I just think there should be more food options available late at night that wont drain my pocket if room service isnt going to be available a duration of the week & all the other eateries dont open for business til Thursday. Why wasnt that burger spot open at least? Bean & Bread should be cranking out coffee & sandwiches til at least 2am. My only true gripe; we had a group of people next to us in a room with small noisy children & older children who were left in charge to watch the small children & it was just complete & utter chaos & noise non-stop for 3 hours. The hotel staff were helpful in addressing this matter & after another call to the front desk with a third disturbance complaint, they accommodated us & found us a new room. I was aggravated more with the adults who brought the kids but naturally the staff recieved the brunt of my aggravation when I felt they werent doing enough to resolve the problem. My apologies, in the end, they resolved the issue and we were grateful. I wish people exercised better casino etiquette in that regard. Your small children & teens under 18 have no place & do not belong at a hotel casino. Find childcare. Aside from eating at the restaurants, which most werent open because of the off season, theres no need for them be there. They cant gamble or drink alcohol. Its an adult space, leave them home, find childcare or dont come. As for Golden Nugget, well be back, eventually.
Was never in this casino before and my long time friend and I have never seen the band Sweet. Was worth the trip from Philly just for the show alone.
It was a good stay! Clean rooms, awesome band that night, even had a slight come up at casino! (My friend, not me. I was already asleep).
There was no food Available on Thursday evening. Front desk wasnt accommodating because outside food had to be met outside on a sidewalk instead of Devon telling me that it was DEFINITELY going to be at the front desk. Nobody helped me eat with my blood sugar extremely low. The front desk Manager had no control over this issue and told me to go to the convenience store there WAS NO FOOD FOR A DIABETIC. Not one person at the front desk helped me, except Dvon and he tried. I was very polite and I had a hard time. Im not an old person and I have a video of this interaction. It was wrong in soo many ways
This casino feels just like home. Food is the same everyday, but its consistent overall! Definitely appreciate being an elite member at this casino branch. 10 outta 10 wood recommend
If I could rate this hotel I would give it a zero but unfortunately I have to give a one .first off check in line was long . Waited30 mins to get in. Then we get to the room NOOOO microwave!!!!! How is that even possible! Then the room was dirty dusty and only had clean sheets on the bed! When it was time to check out they refused to lend us a cart ! So me and my handicap mom with my kids had to struggle to carry the bags to car ! Which by the way is a far walk!Oh and apparently your charged a $35. Fee for tourism every day! So make sure to read the fine print before you book with these scammers! Never will go back! And I’m from New Jersey and have stayed at so many amazing hotels!Terrible !
The golden nugget is best hotel the out door pool is great amazing staff the front desk was so helpful to give us a nice welcome we felt right at home thank u for your service and all the housekeeper were nice to talk to we all be go back soon me and my family and friends we all love this hotel
Only gambled. Did really good! $200.00 on penny slots. Lots of service people around and they were polite and courteous. Good day in Atlantic city.
I did not stay in the hotel so I am unable to comment on the rooms. The food in the Chairmans Club was fantastic!! The slots were stingy! LOL
Great place and great buffet ! Very friendly staff and very welcoming. Knows how to treat the gambler who is middle of the pack type gambler not a high roller but also not a lttle spender, so it makes for a great place to gamble my money giving me the best bang for my dollar. Thank you golden nugget. I will be visiting your casinos alot this spring and summer and thank you for the nice hospitality services you give and gave my family ! Keep it up!
Not housekeeping committing robbery 😳.. I usually stay at the golden nugget and have a good time but having thieves as housekeepers and not following up on this reported crime, is DEFINITELY not worthy of another stay.. and security will ride hard for their thieves, provide no clear proof of their “thorough investigation” and claim “no foul play”.. of course there was no foul play when your “trusted staff” had access to the room where they committed robbery
Was just at golden nugget for a vacation with family and staff were very rude cause someone had a backpack in the casino and didn’t know cause she was a first timer and the staff were very rude and there demeaned was sub par. Do better.
Short staff arrived on Sunday and had to wait 3 hours for a room I reserved 2 months ago. That was unacceptable and disrespectful. Requested a joining rooms for me and my family and placed us on two separate floors
Chart House Restaurant is outstanding! The Alaskan Black Cod was fantastic, as well as the Short Ribs my lady had!
Not the fanciest hotel, but great service ,best pooling in AC...None of that riflf raff people on boardwalk.I take the Deck & marina anyday.
It was a very bad experience, I arrived at the hotel at 11pm and they decided to let me into my room at 1am even though I was with 2 children, the room was not prepared I had to go from the 3rd floor to the 7th floor several times to try to open the door, but this door was locked and this room was out of order. They decided to give me a double room, the next morning when I went out to eat when I came back, they closed the door and I had to wait more than 2 hours before finding another room, security disrespected me behind all this, it was my worst experience in hotels in America for more than 10 years, even free, I dont need to sleep in this hotel there.
The rooms are old and bad. Service is bad, my coffee had a used moldy coffee packet. They dont have free water, we need to pay for that.
My stay at the Golden Nugget was pleasant. However, most of the restaurants were closed. They only open on during the latter part of the week.
Golden Nugget was definitely my top worst hotel experience in Atlantic City! I have been visiting Atlantic City for over 20 years and will not recommend anyone to go to this hotel. I dont know where the high 5 star reviews are coming from.I am 6 months pregnant and the entire hotel SMELLS like polluted, smoky, and unclean air quality. My husband and I were very pissed off. We wanted to find a nice hotel to relax for the weekend. The air was so bad and very difficult to breathe, I wore a mask the entire time for the safety of me and unborn baby.Next issue was the front desk announcing that all TVs are down in the hotel. We had no functioning TV and rhe shower was very slippery.I dont desire to ever return or give this place a second chance in the future.
It was ok. It was the 5th, 6th, or 7th casino we visited in Atlantic City. We were not a big fan of Atlantic City overall.
Absolutely horrible service was greeted with nothing but snarky remarks by front desk when checking in around 6:30 PM then, approximately 45 minutes after arrival, security came banging on my door about a noise complaint due to the fact that my toddler was crying they were extremely rude about the situation stating that if I could not get her to quiet down, then we would have to be removed from the property (my child was fast asleep by 9 PM) definitely not a family hotel. I will consider that when booking my next vacation back to the Tropicana, we go.
We visited Atlantic City 2 weeks backAnd we booked Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino for 3 nights & 4 daysWe were late to check in however the staff happily helped us to get in midnight without any hassleRooms: Rooms were spacious and clean. Loved the view from our room as it covered big casinos & the portService: whenever we placed any requests via call it was attended within 15 mins which is remarkableCasino: they have quite nice slots to whyin with & god serversPrice is affordable, you can always look for offers on travel apps or websites
They are from what I heard, renovating this place. And my initial take on this place is just okay... designed for people who just want to relax without those rowdy young folks..
What a wonderful place to stay during your summer vacation.. 😁 And plus theres so many things to do with your friends and family! ❤️
Great place to kick back and relax. Live music with Hells Bells AC⚡️DC cover band and great bar food!
I enjoyed my stay at the Golden Nugget. Check-in was easy and the representative couldnt have been nicer. The room was spacious and in good shape, though the metal soap and shampoo holder in the shower was rusted and needed replacing. Bed was great. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. Nice TV. The Golden Nugget has great restaurants including the Chart House and Vic and Anthonys. Nice outdoor pool as well. Great setting on the marina.
We would like to extent our most heartfelt and sincere thank you to the entire team at Golden Nugget for a fantastic wedding on October 15, 2023.From our initial meeting with Stephanie and Amber, to Toni, Rose, Jim, the entire kitchen, and food service department, and even casino floor, we could not have been more pleased with the level of commitment, engagement, dedication, and follow-ups – that led us all the way to a flawless ceremony and reception!Every question(s), request, or inquiry we had was greeted with “yes we can”, “let us arrange that for you”, and - especially important being 500 miles away in Raleigh, North Carolina – “do not worry about this or that, we’ll take care of it”, and indeed it was! Everyone commented on how outstanding all the food, deserts, and service were (and with the majority of my French family in attendance, that is not a small feat!), how great the rooms, lighting, and venue(s) looked. Even the cocktail hour with signature drink and outstanding spread of meats and cheeses was a resounding success!Thank You for an unforgettable time, outstanding staff dedication, and genuine devotion, across the board, to taking care of your guests – however big or small the occasion!!!Photos by Alex Kaplan Photo
Ive been visiting the Golden Nugget for years upon years and celebrate my birthday every year at the Golden Nugget and always have a great time. Everyone is always super nice and amazing always!
Had the pleasure of staying at the Golden Nugget for a business conference and I have no complaints. The staff, hotel, and atmosphere provided safety, cleanliness, and great customer service. Victoria at the Front Desk was exceptional and provided top notch customer service throughout my entire stay. Valet, security, and housekeeping were all top notch! Great people working at this establishment.
Such a wonderful stay! The rooms were nice and neat. The room service was delicious and came quickly. All of the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was laid back and casual. My now fiancé :) proposed at the Chart House on our last night and they truly made it a magical night for me. Thank you so much to everyone. We will most definitely be returning.
Jada at the front desk was very helpful ! Resolved card issue in less than 10 minutes . Her customer service was amazing !
I found some peace here. Staff was great. Not too far from the boardwalk. Very clean room
I would rate this hotel 5 stars across the board. The rooms aren’t perfect but the service is outstanding. We were checked in by a gentleman by the name of Jamal and I appreciated how patient, kind and knowledgeable he was. He provided excellent service and should be recognized for his hard work. I should also acknowledge the rest of the staff who took really good care of us. I would stay here again.
My room had poop stains all over in bathroom . The rest of casino was dirty and smelled . Worst hotel Ive stayed in . Never again
Great hotel, great casino & awesome staff. I hit the jackpot twice in one night! Definitely will be back
Great views great restaurants and staff and the suites are amazing roomy and set the Vibe for a great stay highly recommend
The gentleman at the front desk was a professional . Great first impression. The bed was too soft.
It is a pretty good hotel for the price. The staff are very friendly and helpful. But they handed out paperwork under our door on Saturday morning telling us not to shower, brush our teeth or consume any water. They didn’t offer bottles of water or anything for an extreme hindrance to our stay. Not a mention of discounts or anything. Terrible management of an unfortunate situation.
The decor is loud and brassy the food is good but very expensive the rooms were simply room they charge you $3 for a bottle of water in the room
I’m currently staying at the nugget. It’s 79 degrees in the room that is filthy. Have called every department and no answer whatsoever. Does anybody work here!!! Will never come back
We had a nice night at the Nugget. We ate at Vic and Anthonys and it was great. Staff and general manager were friendly and attentive. The casino was clean and festive. They had a real nice parking system where it scanned your license plate and you paid by app. $10 to park when we went.
Our room wasnt horrible. The bed was comfortable and we slept well, BUT I saw some corrosion on the valve behind the toilet and they didnt clean our rooms during our stay nor did they offer. On our last night, there was a TERRIBLE smell in the hallway of the 21st floor. They had fans in the hallways and one room was left wide open with a fan blowing in it. We had a good time at the sports bar watching the football game and enjoyed the casino. I just wish we had a better experience with the room.
It was our anniversary so i appreciate the free upgrade. However, i wasn’t pleased with the service. We got there at around 1:30AM. They gave me a key that didn’t work, then when i went back down he gave me a new one, which didn’t work either because it was occupied 🤔 I went back down again for the 3rd time and they finally gave me the correct key to another room.
I am very disappointed at Golden Nugget casino customer marketing.According to your February promotion for me, the time for gift card is 12am-2am.That means I have to go there to pick up a gift card at midnight. It doesn’t make sense at all. Who want to go to casino to pick up a gift card at midnight?I am complaining about your marketing idea. The idea that customer has to pick up gift card at midnight is very non-sense.
Bed bug in the bed. Googled immediately, and yep. Not sure what I was expecting at the Atlantic City Golden Nugget, but not that. They asked me to stay in the room, so their security could come and verify. I said no, and said I was immediately packing up my stuff. I brought the crushed bug to them. They had a new key for me at the front desk, but they didn’t even offer me a larger room or any compensation. I was traveling all day and exhausted so I didn’t fight it. I will say the front desk clerk didn’t seem surprised to be told that my room had bedbugs. I’m pretty grossed out.
I was there for the weekend. The marina is a hit, and the hotel is not that expensive. They gave me a complimentary day to stay. Friendly staff!
Love it ,.wish I hit the big one. 🤪 but everyone does . Good time
It was our first time here its really confusing but its your first time after 35 minutes finding our way into the casino . This place is its like walking blocks a lot of the workers they were very nice and friendly I suggest they give you a map to find your way around! So we were confused when we went to go get our players cards under the impression that they match your card Im a 7 star and they gave me a 24 k after talking to people that play here they said the casino could have gave me an upper card they give me the lowest card for that tir ! and I believe that because when I was leaving I had to pay $10 to park my car in the garage I I was highly insulted that they believe that my card is a low seven star ! I play for a little bit was planning to go back that night, but after paying I was really insulted and then I didnt want to go back
Everyone was helpful and friendly. Check in with Jaamal was a pleasure. He went above and beyond with information to make our check in easy.
Just stopped in while in A/C. Lots of play time. Nice assortment of machines. Self parking is different. After getting points on our cards went to players club. They entered my license plate into the system, FREE parking! The club staff was very helpful and friendly. Floors staff and drink servers where always around. Nice selection of food outlets. There is an excellent/ authentic Mexican restaurant on the casino floor. Will definitely be going there again.
Stayed here for a friends birthday wknd. We enjoyed ourselves during our stay. The room was decent and we enjoyed the downstairs bars with live music. But there arent many options with things to do within the hotel in the night life.
THIS HOTEL IS DEFINITELY JUST FOR GAMBLING ‼️ THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE TO DO....EAT AND GAMBLE ‼️
This place is definitely improving. I went there on a Saturday night on the weekend of 9/1/23 and it was just a good vibe. They had a band playing at the bar near the entrance. It was a straightforward casino experience. It could have been 2023, 2013, or 2003.Good mix of people. Much less on the snootiness if you follow me. All around sold time.If you have mountains of cash, just leave the car at home and arrive by boat. You can park right at the dock there and waltz in with your entourage. Must be nice.
Most places to eat were closed. Could use more selection of slot machines.
Staff and service at this casino are impressive. Friendly and accommodating.
First time I have been to Nugget. I think its my new fave casino. Only problem is its not in walking distance of the less expensive hotels or the boardwalk. Which is also a plus, as it feels must more safe. I love taking pictures....especially of the sky and the views outside are spectacular. Wish I had more time. I have frequented the Deck in previous years. Didnt go this year, but I know its still as awesome as before. I always look forward to Bike Bash and Helles Belles.
I went to this location back in 2013 for my first year Anniversary and it was so beautiful, clean, and the service was amazing. I went twice after and it was the same as tge first time. I went back this year and unfortunately the room was not clean there was dust everywhere, the food was not nice like before, the service very nice and helpful as always. They need to work on the smell of the place as well, everywhere smelled like cigarettes, and musty. The view was amazing as always, and the spa was so calming and well needed for a day pass of $40 was worth it. Will I come back here again probably not.
Love golden nugget. Have a great host!! I heard rooms are getting makeover. They do kinda need it. Getting old. Pool is great on the roof top. I can’t believe they started charging for parking. 10$. I think of you spend 50 in casino it’s free. Or if you have a higher card then the basic.
My favorite place in AC. Fantastic restaurants, wonderful entertainment. Last few trips didnt get much sleep. People screaming in the hallways at all hours. Early morning alarm due to fire. Last night at 3am man banging on hotel room door near my room. Donna open the door Went on for about half an hour. I called security but got sent to a voicemail.. The hotel cant control the way their guests behave but I think security should have been available. Otherwise I adore this place and all of the employees there!
Hi I have a question. Do new players that join and get a card do they get any freeplay? Or is it just match tier play?
Capturing a wedding at the Golden Nugget Casino was an extraordinary experience. The venue itself is a spectacle, providing a range of vibrant, interesting backdrops for photos. The staff was attentive and helpful, allowing me to focus on my work. This isnt your everyday wedding venue, and it made for some truly spectacular photographs. I highly recommend the Golden Nugget for anyone looking to add some pizzazz to their event.
I came to visit some friends and stayed here. The room was very clean. The person who brought up the room service was very friendly and prompt. The front desk receptionists answered all of our questions with a friendly smile. Id go there again.
The decor could use an overhaul and the room smelled a little musty but had a really great time in the hotel. Billys burgers restaurant was fantastic! Vic &Anthonys was really really good- reserve a table earlier than youd like to eat ..we had to wait almost 40 mins to be seated WITH a reservation. We had a really great time in the lounge. Overall we had a great stay but will most likely stay somewhere else next time were in town. It wasnt bad, but Id like to check another location to compare.
It was our first time staying at the golden nugget in atlantic city. We were celebrating our twenty first anniversary ❤️. Our check in was super easy and the clerk was pleasant. Room was nice it overlooked the marina. Bars and restaurant were good. I won on my first $20. And they validate parking. We will visit again soon.
So I stayed at the Golden Nugget from Sun-Wednesday. I gave the location 4-stars because it was away from everything but I didnt mind simply because I didnt plan on leaving the hotel anyway... The restaurant selection was superb; I patronized The Charthouse, Michael Patricks Brasserie, Dos Caminos, and Vic and Anthonys Steakhouse (all superb except one incident where you will read in my other reviews). The rooms were okay. They had a somewhat updated look, but the cleanliness wasnt what I would have expected. Noone came to my room to clean my entire stay. The customer service was good, I had locked myself out of my room and there was no issue in getting another key which I appreciated. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking to relax. It is a predominately older crowd so there will be no hype, but it is a great getaway for a mental health day or a couple looking for some quiet quality time.
I was in the casino over an hour and couldnt get a bottle of water while sitting at a machine. Ridiculous!!!
Old outdated property and employees old has no signs of life or youth and very far away from boardwalk and beach, pool is seasonal no kids after under 16 with or without a adult after 2pm very little food options no nightlife if your old meaning 70+ and a part of dying breedThen this is your casino.
Last time I went it was a nightmare. The system went down so nothing could be printed out or claimed. The parking system also failed and there were 10 cars waiting to leave... I was there 30mins before anyone showed up to fix the issue. 7 cars were there before I showed up so who knows how long they were there...over 30mins at least. Im not sure if I will ever go back again.
The rooms could use a deep cleaning rather than a quick clean up in-between stays. Check-in was fast and efficient! Employees were kind, smiling, and helpful. Breakfast omelet at the Cafe was exceptional as was the service. Casino floor was clean and beautifully laid out. And! The parking was FREE!! My hubby and I would stay here again.
Hotel was great but it is not on the boardwalk being at the far end in a quiet bay. We went by train from Philadelphia and the free shuttle took us to the hotel. Lovely rooms and good restaurants. Was very busy on the weekend and some live music was good. Slots were varied and enjoyable.
I have mixed reactions with the golden nugget. The place overall seems dated, but our room was clean and spacious. The pool area looks newly renovated. As for location, having the marina there was interesting but we missed walking on the boardwalk. It was less expensive than most of the other hotels.
A very nice casino with many machines and a decent amount of tables. On a Saturday evening during the fall it wasnt all that crowded.I was disappointed to find the poker room closed and it was a bit of a challenge finding the rewards desk. The parking situation was a little confusing but with enough tier credits parking is comped. The on-site burger place is a little expensive but high quality and has good service. All and all a decent experience, with some minor disappointments.
I like the fact that its a smaller casino that has great table games and great slot selection
I booked 2 complimentary rooms at Golden Nugget for 2 nights (sept 9th & 10th), however, I canceled the rooms on September 8th. I spoke to a gentleman and asked him if we decided to come, would it be any problem re-booking the rooms? He checked his computer and assured me there wouldnt be a problem because they didnt have anything scheduled this weekend. I traveled all the way from Durham, North Carolina, and was told they didnt have any more comp rooms. I asked to speak to the supervisor, and I was transferred to Ladinna. I explained to her what happened, and once again, I was told there were no more comp rooms. However, I could purchase a room for $499 for tonight. She said no one can tell how many people will book a room. I told her I understood what she was saying, but I was told It wouldnt be a problem if I canceled the rooms, I could rebook if I decided to come. She said it depends on how the representative worded my rebooking. I asked her, Dont you all record all conversations. She said yes. I asked her if she could listen to the conversation, and she said flat out no. Now, I am all the way here from Durham, NC, with no place to stay. The supervisor really had no heart or sympathy for my situation. She didnt even want to listen to the conversation to see what was told to me. It wasnt like they didnt have any rooms, and I was reassured there would be no problem re-booking.
Outdated but still looking good. The location is the only issue, far from the fun stuff.
New mexican restaurant is the best.. never had greater service abd the drinks are the bomb
HONESTLY FREE DRINKS is the upside - parking garage traffic sucks. Many hotels to choose from but this is my go to spot. Prices are decent for an upscale hotel stay. To me, location is everything but not without the right amenities. Friendly staff members around every corner makes it easy. Price, location, big casino, newer games, FREE DRINKS, Upbeat environment, live music, and plenty of different cuisines.
One person doing checkin for the entire hotel. Absolutely terrible. Gigantic line. Zero service.
Ehh is the best I can saw about this casino. Nothing special and find what you are looking for is impossible. Their parking deck sucks and is to low of any self respecting truck owner.4 years later and still not great. Now they have a really confusing self parking system.
I mean one of the managers were a little extra. We werent allowed to sit out in the back where the cars parked and we werent able to sit across the street from the hotel because they are privateI mean it was the only nice Sunny day. Why the hell not? The room service was amazing. The food was delicious, the front desk are really sweet. I loved their shopping area and how close the casino was to the room.
I was looking forward to my stay at this hotel until I checked in. The customer service was terrible, I felt discriminated against by the receptionist once he looked at us (were both black). I was next in line, but he proceeded to help a white couple behind me instead, despite me telling him we were there first. I expected better treatment and respect but sadly I received the opposite. Mark was rude, racist, mean, and unfriendly, After this interaction, I needed a minute to calm down. As I moved to the side, I observed him engaging with a white person with complete professionalism. He was laughing, making jokes, and being friendly in contrast with me and my best friend. I feel so disappointed to have experienced something like that After Mark handed us our room key i suspect that Mark deliberately wrote our room number wrong so we would have to make multiple trips to the lobby it was such an inconvenience for us to have to travel multiple times on the elevator with heavy bags at 2am it made us regret our decision in choosing this hotel and we will never return to The Golden Nugget, especially after speaking to the manager. We voiced our concern to the manager and she was trying to assure us that Mark was not a racist. When asked how she knows, she responds “because that was her boyfriend”. After seeing our reaction, she mentioned it was just a joke (not a very funny one). Victoria seems like the kind of manager who stands up for him and lets him get away with treating people of color differently because their skin color. We thought that the room would compensate for this incident, but i was wrong. I started sneezing because my room was dusty i had to take Benadryl my whole stay, The sheets were torn, room service doesnt clean your room even if you ask for it, and some of the outlets didnt even work... total disaster... They also charge a resort fee of $30 a day and a tourist fee of $10 even on the day of your check out such a rip-off. If they want to keep tourists away, they succeeded. Do yourself the favor and stay away from this hotel.
This hotel for sure needs a HUGE renovation.. the casino and just the hotel lobby/hallways smell musty and old as did the room. It felt like we were stuck in the 70s. The bed was comfortable, but all in all will definitely not be staying here again. Its a shame because AC used to be so nice and it the last 7-10 years it has gone down hill significantly.
Me and 2 pretty ladies spent the day on Brigantine beach. On our way home we stopped in at the Casino to play a few slots while having some cocktails. We didnt have dinner at the Chart House. We had a great time, and the live band out on the deck was good. 🙏🥁
Pool was nice, place is starting to show it age, toilet was running all night, and you can see the decor is damaged, etc. They messed up our reservation we had to provide our reservation number then they found it after calling twice. When I made my reservation parking was free, but when I arrived they now charge for parking. Restaurants and shops were pricey, you may want to bring a snack.
Love going to The Deck. Live music, fun atmosphere, drinks are good and not over priced, and free parking in the garage.Once the music ends, the place empties quickly and security hurried us out of there. We were seated and finishing our drinks. Luckily we could just take the drinks with us to walk around.
Dated but great service...and working on updating.Large spacious rooms. Clean.
Old school mobster feel. Loved Vic & Anthonys. Very nice casino.
Honestly It Was Going Good Until My Stupid Friend Got Us Kicked Out I Hate The Service Is Just Bossy Now I Have To Go Back To Connecticut So Unbelievable!
The best place to go when in Atlantic City, great casino host, clean rooms and safe.
$10 a night is too much for this horrible hotel. Ive been to golden nugget Las Vegas which I love, but this place is a pig sty in comparison. The room was dilapidated, maybe hadnt been updated in 15 years. The bed was hard and had the wurst sheets ever. The bathroom was horrible. The toilet was made for 5 year old. The only redeeming quality was its proximity to other locations. I will never stay at any golden nugget hotel again. Thanks for nothing.
Like many places, theyve lost all sense of personal touch in service. Im a tables player and today gave them about 6 hours of $50-$100 play. When I finally got up and asked if I could get a buffet (which basically costs them nothing), they said the comp value on my card (calculated by their computer) was only $6. In the past (and currently at other places that care about taking care of a customer), the pit boss would override the computer and just issue a buffet comp. But they are now slavish to the computer and disregard taking care of their table customers.
Lost Over 18k in one night, was offered 250 in food credits after.any other casino would do way more. Horrible. Rooms are dated and stink. Overall just not a good place. Will not be coming back. Go to hardrock people. Comps are better, everything is better. This is for people betting 36 cent slots
When we first got into the room, we noticed a literal infestation of sewer flies in the bathroom (this was on a smoking floor btw so makes sense). Front desk was polite and immediately switched our room to a top floor, non smoking instead. No complaints after that and the room was quite decent. As far as the casino itself, definitely an older crowd and smaller than other AC resorts i’m used to. Overall decent but probably won’t stay there again.
Best hotel in AC.My only concern is the food choices at the Chairmans lounge. Too much of the same thing.Bring back hot dogs during games for example.
Come here if you would like to risk your home being infested with bed bugs. I stay from September 29-30 found a bed bug in my room to see a well fed bed bug in my room. Went to front desk and I swear they claim it was not a bed bug but a “2023 sub variant of a roach” words from the actual security. If you find one in your room they will do nothing about it. Did not hear from them months all for them to tell me they will not refund me. I threw away a very expensive luggage because of this incident because I did not want to risk bringing these “2023 variants” home with me. What a joke this hotel is.
On the smaller side of casinos but we really enjoy staying and playing here. Rooms are very nice (except I did not enjoy the coffee I made in the room...that was only drawback) and clean and air conditioning is great..the clientele is slightly older, which I prefer to some degree, but fun.
Don’t play here or gamble online this is the online casino on majority of apps In New Jersey it is very shady & very rigged almostImpossible to beat the house it is ridiculous and the dealers see your betting history which should be illegal andThey see how much your betting which shouldn’t be allowed and is a disadvantage to players but hey this is the New Jersey government for you
They try to scam you if you booked through a site like expedia. They tell you there are no rooms available when you go to check in because they sold your room for more money to someone else. And then they say that your reservation through expedia doesnt guarantee you a room which is completely false. It absolutely guarantees you a room. When we finally pressed the manager, a room magically became available. But the nonsense wasnt over after that. They have housekeeping making rooms at 1AM while you try to sleep. And they are loud as hell and dont care if you ask them to keep it down. This hotel is a joke
It was great and amazing time 4 days happy and comfortable in this hotel like a paradise. Thanks for everyone in receptions, room service, swimming pool, restaurants, casino, all team work there.I recommending this place for all people looking for more happiness
What used to be an easy night out with a quality dinner, is no longer. We tried to use a food voucher but the kiosk was unable to print. Vic & Anthonys was unable to see any voucher since it had already been sent to print. Then, upon exit had to pay for parking even after a $300.00 dinner was never validated because they had no clue. The smell of marijuana every where we walked was a disappointment. What a disaster. ☹️
Actually pretty gross. And the service is so slow. Checking in took an hour. Its all manual. They literally dont use computers. Its all on scrap paper. The keys never work. Bathrooms are gross. The doors to the rooms dont even go to the floor, like a bathroom. Also smells horrible. It all just feels dirty.
Great casino! They have plenty of slot machines and lots of variety. Floor service and staff are awesome! It helps to be able to drink free while playing.
I always have a nice time when I stay here and its never alot of noisy traffic in the hotel since its not on the immediate A.C hotel strip. I party and eat on the strip and once Im done I come back to a quiet environment
Disgusting check in with 90 minute wait time in a disgusting line with food all over the carpet so it was hard to move luggage along the line.....the place is operated like a one star dump.Staff and manager do nothing to move the line and people are taking 30 minute breaks, as the staff members are talking with each other and laughing. There were 2 people checking in about 80 guests on a Friday night at 9pm.
Service was excellent but Wife has serious mold allergies and mold was in the Casino. First night rowdy group on 19th floor from 11pm till 4am. Requested them to quit and just got a finger. Complained about this at front desk they seemed to be aware. Spoke to security and no issue the following night. Chart House and Happy Hour was excellent. Free parking and use of workout room is FREE but was charged $30/ nite for the FREE ADD ON. The posted room rate we were charged was VERY REASONABLE.
Our first room had a party next door and wasnt clean. The staff at least moved us to a quiet room. I only wish they kept the rooms and especially the bathrooms clean. There were other guests hair in the shower, on the toilet and counter. They should do better
I had never stayed overnight at the Golden Nugget Hotel 🏨 before so I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms had been updated and were modern. The staff was ok… not overly nice but not rude. I was there for the Triple Play Convention which is in Atlantic City every year. I normally stay elsewhere closer to the ocean 🌊 and boardwalk but there is plenty of transportation to get there . My company had a reception and cocktail 🍸 hour at the Chart House restaurant which was very nice. It overlooks the Marina. The holiday decorations were very nice and parking was free which was a great 😊 surprise! The casino 🎰 was fine too but small. I’m assuming they had a larger casino area that I did not see. I would possibly come back but I wish the room was a little cleaner 🧼.
A pleasant surprise is in store for visitors of the Golden Nugget in A.C. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with plenty of space. My room overlooked the pool area. A lounging pool, a swimming pool and 4 jacuzzi tubs. Easy to navigate inside too. You dont have to walk a mile to get to where youre going. Loved it.
We only visited the casino. We had a good time, but didnt win😖
Well.. We stayed in the one bedroom suite and yes it was nice but our view was just a roof. We were on the 7th floor. I think all the suites should be on the higher levels with views. We were disappointed. It was a nice suite but the tub wasn’t that big. Was it worth the money? ummm i don’t think so. Customer service was amazing! Front desk staff was very very nice! Clean casino clean restaurants. Also if you self park be prepared to lug all of your stuff, there isn’t a cart to put your suit cases on.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Golden Nugget Casino, and I must say, it was an absolute disappointment. My excitement for returning home after fun-filled getaway quickly turned into frustration and anger due to the complete lack of security at this establishment.During my stay, my car was broken into right in the casinos parking garage. A second car on the 5th floor was vandalized the same day as well and the week prior they ran kids out of the garage for trying to steal Kias and Hyundais.Despite the presence of security cameras, apparently, they were more for show than actual surveillance. The incident left me feeling violated and unsafe, and the staffs response to the situation only added insult to injury.Security called me because the police ran my plate. This is about all I got from security to date, nobody from the casino even reached out to me after the incident. When I asked if the camera near my vehicle was recording I was told I cant answer that!. Wonderful, but probably explains why security on bikes were patrolling the garage.Even the bellhop wouldnt let me use a cart to gather all my things out of my car since I had to leave it with a broken window overnight till I could get a tow in the morning. Was told they cant do that even after explaining my situation.I had hoped for an enjoyable and relaxing stay, but the security issues and the staffs lack of professionalism completely overshadowed any potential positives. After spending a god awful amount of money to get my vehicle and family back to Pennsylvania, you would think someone from the Casino would follow up, but no.I strongly advise anyone considering a stay at the Golden Nugget Casino to think twice and prioritize their safety over the allure of the glitzy facade. There are plenty of other options in the area that value their guests security and satisfaction far more than this disappointing establishment. This is a targeted Casino because of the free parking, open gates (supposedly fixed now), and apparently the criminals know the security cameras dont work.
The crab cakes (2) are the size of Kennedy half dollars and not worth $26, casino in smaller side. Rooms solid value for money especially mid week. Steakhouse also solid with great mashed potatoes. (I did see see a few hairs in the bathroom randomly in the corner but hey, the daily rate is $59 and bed was fine)
Went to the Nugget with another couple that wanted to watch and dance to a certain band that was playing there that Saturday night. The band was good and played non stop. I did go and play the slot machines for about an hour and I have to say the machines seemed older and they were tight. I definitely lost and couldnt get a win to save me. So it wasnt much fun for my first time there and it was my Birthday too.
Dingy and outdated. We didnt stay in the hotel and just went to look around. Im not recommending this place
Checked in was informed no wash cloths available throughout hotel would receive them later!! Later never existed!! No wash cloths for entire stay. Monday 8/21 child threw up in pool around 1200 noon pool was closed for remainder of day!! On Tuesday 8/22 adult lounge area inside pool was closed due to chemical treatment why does this need to happen during day time pool hours especially when paying resort fee of $30.00 per day which includes pool usage!! Unacceptable!! New parking policy they allow you in and out privilege with license plate reading it was not only not working but it took over an hour for assistance to arrive and to finally allow us departure from the self parking garage missed our show of Hook at Ceasers due to parking garage nightmare!! Front Desk employee was not helpful and told us to handle it!! Welcome to Golden Nugget avoid at all costs!!
Me & my fiancé went to AC for our July 4th anniversary/vacation. Room was spacious considering we was on the 25 floor. The bottle of water in the room are $7.00 (it should be free)It was absolutely beautiful and boardwalk is far from the hotel but we took the jibsy van back & forth. (2.50 per person) Was there for 4 days we had an amazing trip. Room was huge but there should be a microwave inside considering the price for the room. Beautiful atmosphere & beautiful room. Boardwalk/beach was very nice. Hotel is far from beach so u would have to take the van back n forth. Will definitely come back again !!!
I’d give 0 or negative for service. Get there, valet is incredibly rude. Bellman never delivers our bags and we have to physically go down and retrieve ourselves after waiting an hour. Front desk had one person working on a Friday afternoon. Was rude and unpersonable. Our first room was disgusting- green goo of some sort on the walls, bathroom was not cleaned, and tons of dust. Second was cleaner but it was moreso I just gave up. Got breakfast Saturday morning - iced coffee was essentially water. Get to the pool and ordered a tropical drink that came melted. There’s a reason why the borgata is more expensive and I think I see why.
My hotel booking service told them specifically that I would be arriving late. I arrived in the morning after midnight to a surly receptionist who told me to buzz off, my room “expired” and he already conveniently sold it off. He told me he could sell me a new room for double the price.Absolutely horrible. The hotel also smells musty and weird.
Stayed for a night and they gave us an upgraded room, which was bigger than your standard hotel room. The place is nice for gambling (though a little smaller than expected), lots of restaurants to eat in, overall a great place to stay.
Love this place. Especially when my #1 band is playing. Dane Anthony Band
The lady that checked us in was great!! She was very helpful, and informative. The maid was great!! Very nice. The people that gave you your wrist bands for the pool were very nice and friendly. The people that worked outside at the pool area were just rude!! In fact the people that work at the restaurant were very rude and didn’t care if you were a customer or not. The valet was rude also. This was my first trip there and will not stay there again.
My band played a show at The Rush lounge. The lounge was a great time and the band did well. Great atmosphere and the very age mixed crowd had a great time. There was a show playing at the theater and when the show let out alot of that crowd came in to party with us.They have free parking and i would say from a musician point of view it was a great night out and the audience was very appreciative!
Pros:- location is great.- room was kind of clean. There was a lot of dust for example on the alarm clock and phone. They look like they haven’t been touched in a while.- shark tank pool is pretty cool but that’s its.Cons:- pool is way to crowded with the chairs. Your shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you.- pool is average size not that big.- Staff was rude and demanded for gratuityWouldn’t go back to this hotel.
I had a fun night but it is in need of updating.
It’s definitely the place to be if you’re in your 50s. I was shocked to see all the older folks partying hard. Free parking was cool but it is a bit of a walk. Very dated and dark interior. You can smell a little bit of smoke but in certain areas. The front desk guy was cool. My room was ok. Very dusty and strands of hair were in the tub.
The waitress dont come around to serve drinks and the management wont comment about it
Outdated! Moldy urine odor upon entering from self park garage to casino. Low energy level casino, no excitement. Most businesses were closed inside. Overall not an enjoyable visit, customers were like zombies gambling. Very dreary
I have not visited the casinos in AC in a few years even though I have been back home about 4 times. My schedule just never allowed for it. Therefore, I was not aware that the Golden Nugget Casino had moved to the Marina! What a surprise... and even though the place looked a bit worn out, it was nice to see that there was free parking. Hopefully, all the construction in the garage and the water leak clean up is something that will soon be completed and corrected because it was not a good look.
Hotel was nice, the room was ok. Shower was blah, didnt drain right so you stand in a pool of water. The heat/ a/c is noisy when run and then a loud bang when it turns off.Casino was nice, not super crowded but we had a lot of fun. Our dealer was very helpful.
I only went to see a show on the Outside Deck, Hells Belles excellent band and plenty of accomodations, even has a few side areas to talk and a great view of the marina. Outside smoking area apparently 420 friendly Good time good vibes
Everything in this hotel was pretty good it had a great lobby and many places to eat there was also a ton to shops to shop at. The only bad things is the the waters in the room cost 7$! The beds are also pretty small very tight fit. The smell of cigarettes wasn’t insane even in the room. But I guess that’s what you can expect for a Casino hotell.
Terrible experience. On our first 10 minutes we got stuck in the elevator for 30 minuteswith my year-and-a-half boy, and 3 months pregnant wife , the room smells like cigarettes, and for no reason we got charged $44 extra.Do not recommend for anyone to stay there. For the price that they charged after taking $44 extra I could have stated at any hotel and had a better experience.I will never go back there again not to gamble and for the hotel.
