Peers Hotel-3 Star Hotel Austin Tx

The staff, especially the older gentleman at the front desk, were so extremely kind, and gave top-notch customer service! My husband and a friend stayed there for New Years Eve, we had to upgrade our room. He was so kind and showed us what the rooms looked like before we made the decision to upgrade. The rooms were both extremely spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Not feeling so well New Years day, he extended our checkout without us even asking. Such a warm and friendly gentleman! Definitely staying there again when we visit Austin. The hotel is very close to downtown, maybe an 8 dollar lyft ride (That was New Years Eve). The room was clean and breakfast good! Highly recommended. You really cannot find customer service like that anymore!

I booked this hotel over the summer of 2018 to visit with my boyfriend and it was great! The lobby was filled with elegant decorations, the room we were in was nice and big, with a King bed. Room was cleaned and filled with new towels and toiletries daily when we got back. I was also happy to meet the Hotel owner, whose name was Bob. We got to know each other well, and the other employees were friendly. The roads outside was under construction during our stay, but we were close to the highway so it was easy to reach. I would definitely recommend this Hotel, and may visit again in the near future!

This is a very nice and clean hotel. If you are looking for a great place to stay and close to downtown then this is it. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and the Texas shaped waffles are the best. Overall our experience at this hotel was great. You can not go wrong choosing this hotel.

My friends and I went stayed here for a Bachelorette Party and it was perfect, unless you can afford to stay closer to downtown. It was only a 7-10 minute drive to downtown. But the best part was the gentleman at the front desk, Bob. He was so kind, took such good care of all of us even though we were pretty rowdy. The rooms were really nice for the price. I would highly recommend.

Surprisingly good hotel for the price.While its not the Ritz, to be sure, the Peers is an excellent hotel for its class. The staff were easily the most friendly and welcoming Ive encountered in a long time. And while the reception looks a little dated, the rooms themselves are exceedingly clean and comfortable.Housekeeping standards are also high, and the entire stay was an excellent experience from start to finish.Full marks

This was an awesome hotel. Small little place but the hospitality and experience was not small. The beds were amazing! I fell right to sleep and slept all the through. The room was very clean and well furnished. Internet speeds were very good and cable channels and signal was great too. The morning offered a nice relaxing breakfast nook on the lobby with many choices including waffles and pastries, ceral (hot and cold), orange juice, milk, coffee, water. I will definitely stay again and will look to see if there are other locations on my trips!

This is a good hotel, if youre on a budget.Pros: The price.Like I said, this hotel is nice, if youre on a budget. The rooms are big and have a nice layout. I found it weird that the sinks are separate from the shower and toilet. Aside from that, its still nice.Cons: the beds, the thin walls, the staff, and the shower knob.The beds are hard to sleep on, which made it uncomfortable. We only got 2 pillows for the bed which are kinda thin.The walls are very thin. We could hear other people talking inside and outside the rooms.The guy who checked us in was rude and hard to understand.I dont know if it was just our shower knob, but it was hard to turn.But weighing out all of this, I give it a 3 star rating.

There was a plumbing issue at the house and needed a place to take showers while the husband and I waited for the plumber to come fix things. It was clean and quiet for the little time we spent there. It could use a little love. Some loose molding around the elevator in the lobby and the shower curtain in the room could use changing but we would stay there again if we needed a room in our home town again.

My overall experience was amazing.The room was nice and cold. As soon as you walked in it smelled clean as can be. I love the hallway ceiling and the over all colors for the hotel. I will be recommending the Peers hotel to everyone who comes to Austin. Bob and Joyti ( Front Desk staff) are very friendly and make me laugh. The location is right off the highway and 10 minutes away from downtown. A big bonus there is breakfast in the morning and if anyone knows me, I loooove waffles. (: I will definitely will be returning to this hotel in the future.

The decor is attractive, but Bob at the desk is a main attraction. He was personable, good-humored, and upgraded us. He suggested a nearby Lebanese restaurant serving great food. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

While convenient in location, this hotel is anything but “grand”. While checking into the hotel, after 3pm which is listed as “check in time”, the gentleman at the front desk had to physically go to our room to see if it was ready. It wasn’t. After waiting about 15 minutes for another room, we were finally assigned keys. While bringing our bicycles into the hotel, another gentleman, who I can only assume was in management, accosted us at the entrance. He told us we “couldn’t bring those bikes into the hotel”. Yeah...pretty sure we’re not going to leave our bikes on the rack of our car, overnight.This same gentleman also stood directly next to the front door smoking, despite th numerous signs stating there was “no smoking within 25 feet of the hotel entrance”. Guess that rule only applies to guests and not employees. Normally, this wouldn’t bother me, however, as a guest, you are reminded, MULTIPLE TIMES throughout the hotel that you can’t smoke near the front door. Later that evening, while getting into the elevator, we were met by two ladies who, let’s just say, didn’t seem to be hotel guests, but rather women for hire. When we arrived at their floor, the elevator doors opened and we were greeted by a gentleman in a bath robe, beckoning them into his room. One girl exclaimed “that’s (enter said gentleman’s name) he always lets me in.”The following day, we encountered another set of young women, seeming to be there for a similar “service”. Our room was small, but clean, at least. Chances are slim we would stay here again.

It’s Austin. Every hotel I visit here is a disaster. Very dirty and poor upkeep. Blood stains on sheet, hair in sink and shower, mold, crayons and crumbs throughout, dirty toilet. Checked out and let the two older gentlemen know they need to clean things up and showed them pics. Of course they were appalled not their hotel, but said well why didn’t you change rooms. It’s 2 AM. 2/5 light bulbs work. I laid my towels down and went to sleep. In the morning I seen what lurked in the darkness. It’s rough in Austin I guess. Update: nice response we don’t see it. Ok now. Clean your rooms and linen

My stay here was amazing. The location was perfect and convenient to downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable. I will be sure to recommend this place to others, and will be coming back soon.

Nice comfortable place to stay at. Definitely the best hotel Ive stayed at so far. The staff was friendly and attentive to anything we needed. I also loved how convenient it was to downtown Austin. I will be staying here the next time I come into town.

Staying at this hotel was the absolute worst experience I’ve had in Austin. The employees are incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I came down for coffee in the morning and didn’t see any creamer or sugar. I asked the front desk guy if they had anything and he just snapped back at me “no, do you see it over there?” Check out is at 11am and by 11:02, they were banging on my door and just yelled “time to go!” I was completely ready to leave, just waiting on my ride to get there. I would’ve been out within 5 minutes anyways. The same front desk guy was extremely rude through check out and when I told him he didn’t have to bang on my door, he said it was his right and he could’ve done it at 10:30 if he wanted. They have no concept of customer service and I will never stay here again, no matter how cheap it is. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

Hotel is well kept, staff was friendly. Price was fair given the half decently central location. The road entry was under city construction, was somewhat hazardous to enter the property (not hotels fault). However the included breakfast was supposed to be 6am to 9am, was non existent when I gave up and left at 630am. Otherwise a good budget accommodation.

Awesome Stay! Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, rooms are spotless, linens and floors are fresh and clean, beds of high comfort and bathrooms being my high importance, are very clean and sanitized. Overall stay has been exceptional and I will certainly make this my preferred lodging in ATX!

This hotel is excellent for the price. This is the best room you can get on a budget. No bugs. Nice front desk staff but has heavy accent. Im guessing Greek? Very clean rooms. No funky mold going on here. Very recently renovated.

Had an awesome experience at the Hotel this previous weekend. Thank You Bob for being very sweet. I will be missing you, but I will be back during my following vacations on the big comfortable suite. I like the fact is not so noisy like other hotels. Specially because I was working from my lap top with the free fast Wi-Fi they provide.

0 STARS!!! This hotel is horrible, first they gave me the wrong room, when I got switched to the correct room I checked to make sure everything was nice and clean. I came across a towel under the sofa bed picked it up and there was a paraphernalia pipe in the towel!!!!! Notified the manager and he wouldnt give me a refund! This is horrible I had my infant with me in the room!!! The housekeeper said he didnt clean the sofa bed because he didnt think the last people used it!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL!!

WOWW ! NOT BAD FOR THE PRICE !First time to stay at Grand Peers hotel .When I first searched showed another name ? I think it was bought by another hotel owner or rebranded .Was very nice inside , guy at front desk was old & slow but pretty cool , he let me look at the Room & then upgraded me for $10 for a deluxe room .Beds were nice & hall ways were cool looking .Had a nice size tv not small like most hotels .Breakfast was simple but had cold boiled eggs which is my favorite :)Overall ... Was a pretty sweet stay .

The room was clean, however, the customer service was not great. At 9:30am they come and knock on your door if you dont put the do not disturb sign out sign. They wake us up for two days and about to open the door. My experience with other hotels was that they never enter the room if you do not even put the sign. They need to respect the privacy of their guests.

Grand Peers Hotel .It Very nice ,better than where I stayed at across the street and on the corner last time I came to Austin .VERY NICE & RELAXING !The hotel overall was a small boutique hotel but the rooms were a decent nice size . There were two old guys at the front desk look like they were from grumpy old man . I would definitely stay here next time I come back its not like one of those big humongous hotels where no one knows you .everybody is very friendly Will definitely come back and stay here next time.

Great, clean, quiet hotel. It looks like a business building converted into a hotel but they have definitely spent some money on it making it look very nice. The rooms smell good, are nice and roomy, and the atmosphere is quaint.

I totally give this Hotel a 5 star!!! simply AMAZING!! I didnt know my way around Austin and the staff was so helpful in recommending all the awesome places Austin has to offer. Is very clean and neat it made me feel very welcoming.

The staff was very friendly, my room was very clean and smelled great. The news were comfortable as well as the pillows we really enjoyed are stay there and would for sure return.

Elevator extremely squeaky made me nervous and lobby needs a bit remodeling. Had to struggle through resistance of knob to turn on shower. Other than that the rooms were very clean and staff was very nice.

The first night we woke up to the terrible sound of a machine backing up over and over again. They were making repairs to the building at 6:45 in the morning on a SATURDAY. The following night we were abruptly awoken by the sound of squeaky springs and slamming headboards through the paper thin walls. Our neighbors were either engaging in rigorous exercise or were trying to make a baby, loudly. Needless to say, minus the very nice king size bed, it won’t be enough for us to book at this interesting and unorthodox hotel again.

Very clean and super nice rooms! Wonderful staff!! The renovations are nicely done. Crown molding in the rooms looks great, and the paint color pallet is nice and colorful without being garish.

The hotel was out dated but the rooms were very clean. Tissue boxes and extra face towels would be a great addition. Otherwise, it was a great stay and Bob was the best host ever....

Stayed here on Saturday night and the gentleman in the front desk name Bob went beyond the expectations to satisfy us , he was super attentive and nice . I would totally recommend this hotel to all my friends and family ! Next time we come visit Austin we will surely stay here again !

I love this hotel! Room was very comfortable and clean, smelled so good and the room was cold just how I like it. I will be making this my go to Hotel in Austin! Loved the staff, so sweet and courteous!

My experience was really good. Extremely friendly front desk, clean rooms. Excellent value for money. We stayed for a weekend during the ACL festival and it was a great choice. I highly recommend it.

Convenient location, but other than that, everything is bad. We were coming from another city to spend a weekend in Austin. 1) They have the check-in time at 2:00 pm. we knew we were going to arrive earlier than that. we called them the night before we arrive and told them that we are requesting early check in, the guy who answered advised that we have to call back tomorrow morning and speak to a manager. We called the next day morning (The day of arrival), the same yesterday guy answered the phone and didnt let us speak to a manager, and said the earliest he can do is 1:00, we told him that will arrive at 12:00! should we just be sitting on the street waiting for the 1:00 pm to came?!! he had no answer. We stayed on the street till 1:00 pm!! 2) The breakfast was eggs and waffles and some drinks and that it! we we wanted to use the waffle machine, they advised that it is broken and we can only eat eggs!! 3) one towel per person! 4)the detergent they use has incredibly over-powering smell for someone who has sinuses infection like myself In short, the whole experience was pretty uncomfortable to us

I got a clean, comfortable room at a fair price and the front desk was friendly and helpful. It wasnt the Ritz but they werent charging for that. Lyft to downtown was about 15 bucks. Id stay there again.

Excellent staff, thanks Bob for make our staying a good experience. Since we got there they upgrade our room for a bigger. They were aware of our needs. And all the installations so clean and quiet.

I was very impressed with the great rooms they had, very clean, organized, and big. the location was very convenient also, great to go for a walk, everything you could ask for is local. Place was very peaceful and friendly.,

Clean rooms, breakfast is exactly what you would expect and amenities in line with price. The beds however are very hard and uncomfortable, the amount of signs warning you to stay quiet and not smoke are actually at a disconcerting level. I likely would not stay here again.

This was the worse hotel I could have possibly stayed at...not only was the staff rude and unprofessional..the rooms smelled like standing water... I asked to be moved 3 times because of the horrific smell... when I told both manager Joe and Bob... about me being displeased and that I was coming from corpus christi for shelter from hurricane Harvey they told me well at least u got a room... they went on by saying that they are not the holiday inn nor the Radisson and that they dont give refunds..While I had my family there parents that r elderly and a 2 year old... the electricity turned off and we had to stay in the dark with no a.c. for the time of my stay..they were not concerned about there customers at all they did not even communicate to us or update us about when the lights might be turned on... mean while as we sat in the dark.. the was a group of the owners family drinking bottles of alcohol. This place was by far the worse experience for me and my family...i would Not recommend this place to neone...i am currently fighting for my money back because they are refusing to give bck my money... its a shame that these people that run this facility would treat a family in such a horrible manner...n be greedy in not refunding my money back due to the horrible condition... mind u I spent over 500 dollars are these room..i give them no stars

Came into town for my birthday weekend not knowing there was a event going on in Austin and all the hotels were booked or very expensive. we end up staying here at Grand Peers and we loved Friendly environment and great customer service I will defiantly recommend it and come back again!

Phone call from hotel asking for credit card to pre-pay room for check-in. My credit card is a business card that has a card present only limitation. Asked if I could pay upon arrival and the hotel declined.If you travel enough, the smaller hotels love the charge your card for the full amount prior to arrival. Major chains may run a pre-auth.My review deals with the lack of courtesy to pay upon check-in.

The employees are so nice and will help you with anything! They actually care how you’re stay was and the hotel is very nice for the price. Overall it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at!

At first when i came in, the guy named Bob (manager/ coowner) was kinda creepy. Told us to make sure we dont smoke and said he has a copy of our ID, even told me bf that he would be watching us. When we went outside he asked if my vehicle was actually ours, or were we renting it... weird. After getting back from a night out on 6th st, there was another guy, im gonna go out on a line here and say his name was Steven, but he actually made my stay the enjoyable 4 stars, he was very nice snd super friendly! Thank you so much!

It was a nice hotel was upset that breakfast ended at 9 AM I thought it wouldve been a little bit longer , but they gave me some yogurt and some oranges which is OK ...Hotel had nice beds and very relaxing room and spacious didnt really like the view of my room but overall it was a nice hotel

FRONT DESK HAD EXTRAORDINARY CUSTOMER SERVICE IF I CALLED FOR ANYTHING IT WAS THERE WITHIN A FEW SECONDS. ROOMS WERE VERY SPACIOUS AND NEAT WITH A FRESH CLEAN SMELL. VERY DECORATIVE AND THE BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING.

Affordable place to stay, right on IH 35 so its easy to get around. About 15 minutes from 6th Street. Staff was great, made sure we had everything we needed.

The hotel was super branded. The downstairs decor was outdated. The room was actually nice, with minimal amenities.

Came to Austin without reserving a room so I looked around some and came upon this little gem I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my room it is freshly remodeled and the rooms are a good size and the location is very central and convenient with easy access to the Interstate I know I will stay at this hotel on my next trip.

Location is convenient, near to downtown Austin which is great when looking for activities. The rooms are also nice and beds are comfortable!

Water pressure while taking a shower would go in and out, no one was at the desk for check-in and checkout had to wait a few minutes both times, a little outdated, was never asked how the stay was or if I had any issues, location was good for the price but I wouldnt recommend.

I came to Austin on a business trip and I was impressed with how great my room was. the location is amazing, very close to anything you could think of.
