C-Boys Heart & Soul

Was such a great time to hang out on a Friday night and experience Jennifer Foster and the Audacity. What an incredible band, they had the whole place dancing and the energy was contagious. Jen and Rob are so talented catch them live if you can!

Saw Henri Herbert for some boogie woogie blues. Nice chill vibe. Good drinks. I was looking forward to seeing the Japanese inspired flyboy bar upstairs, but it was closed.

Went here because it was so well rated. We saw Theo Lawrence play, and he/they were good! It was $10 at the door, no minimum on drinks (which was pretty reasonable I thought).It was a cool little room - very vibey, and there’s really nowhere you can’t be close to the small and low stage. If you’re there to see the band, that makes a huge difference.Service at the bar was great - dude looks a lot like James Hetfield.All in all worth a stop in - especially if you’re into the act that is playing that night.(If you’re not - it’s just up the street from a bunch of other things - like the Continental Club, which was also a very cool venue!)

This place does have a lot of heart and soul. Very intimate setting that always has great music. Even on the weekdays.

Great love music. Also have to return to try the LIVE MUSIC at the Jade Room upstairs. They have mixed drinks out back. So many choices to have fun. Will have to return with more friends.

THIS is the place I hoped to find in Austin. Super welcoming, a bunch of fun locals and awesome old school music. Oh and the food truck connected - Weird Food - maybe the best chicken schwarma wrap I’ve ever had. And that’s saying some thin’

I can’t believe this place.. they used to barely ever have a cover and now they charge like 20$ almost every night for mediocre music. I went there with my mom, they had the nerve to try to charge $15 at the door and say they were going to have to kick us out to clear the space for another band then charge another $20 ON TOP of the $15 we would play for only 30 minutes.. I mean who does that !?!? Like you expect people to want to spend money at the bar for paying that much for a cover?? I expect this place to go out of business soon.. ridiculous

The best bar in Austin, great concerts every single time! On this exclusive place you get to see the best musicians in the country, first time I was there I got surprised to see Jimmie Vaughan on the stage, later I learned that he plays there all the time, Sue Foley, Mike Flanigin and Gary Clark Jr are easy to see there as well. Nice employees, great selection of beers and hard liquor, everything is affordable, I never left there with the suspicious of being over charge. If you are looking to have a fenomenal time C-Boys is your place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You never know whos going to be there. Went there one time and Steve Miller Bands guitar player was sitting in with the band. We were just there recently and missed Wynonna Judd popping in by just a few days. Always great music, good/cheap drinks, and amazing music.

Insulted. Accused of trying to con the bar out of a $6 drink despite paying for several tabs and several rounds of drinks the three of us DID consume. Bar tender was hostile and aggressive, insulting, and just plain mistaken. Arieus. Was raising his voice and making a scene in front of VIP acquaintances of ours despite his being wrong. Couldve had a nice time, but ended in quite a sour note. The attitude of this bar tender is a joke. Grow up. Learn to admit when youre mistaken and swallow the ego...On another note, the first bar tender we had with white hair was super cool, the door guy was cool, the sound tech was cool, and they had an impressive, antique vinyl jukebox pulling music for the venueP.s. - you can see he responded below. Funny thing is, our party drinks mezcal and Jameson. Not titos. The rest of the drinks we ordered we accounted for in the itemized reciepts we got. Nice try covering your mistake. Still playing the same petty games. Sad act.

Great venue for live music. The staff is really nice and welcoming. Got to see Zapata and talk to him which was a nice plus. also got to see Jimmie Vaughan two nights in a row and have a nice chat with him. A must for music lovers - will miss this place when I go back home!

Decent band. Ok atmosphere. Drink prices were reasonable. Indoor/outdoor. Cover charge was priced too high. Met some cool people here.

Was hosted for a private party there and it was amazing. Drinks, food, psychic reader, cowboy hats and Karaoke. They had a live band playing the Karaoke selection which was amazing. Great hosts. Highly recommend.

These guys are great! The staff is easy to get along with and helpful. The food trailer was awesome. I always enjoy the bands and the bartender let me have my dr. P for free. Definitely worth the visit!

800 lbs of crawfish. 5,000 RSVPs. And we couldnt have done it without C-Boys. A great venue, in a great location, with a great staff. Not only did they accommodate a line that lasted nearly all night, they allowed us to give Austin a taste of a real Cajun and Creole experience. We cant wait to head back for SXSW, and C-Boys will be a must-visit for us. Thank for all the #LafayetteLove!

Great Austin music every day love the atmosphere c-boys heart and soul

C-Boys is everything I love about Austin. They have a lively spot downstairs with great music, a small dance floor, and good drinks. If things get too wild inside or you need some fresh air after cutting a rug, you can step out the back door to hang out on the porch. Video and music from inside is played outside, so you dont miss a thing. Or if youre looking for a more low-key evening, head upstairs to the Jade Room. Which is where we landed last weekend. Having been to C-Boys in the past, I had completely bypassed the Jade Room during previous visits. Not this time! Upstairs offers a more laid-back environment with live jazz or blues, cozy booths, dark red lighting, and vibe that is unmatched. During our visit, we caught the tail end of Mel & Jamess performance. They are stellar artists, and our only regret was not arriving sooner to catch more of their performance. After the show we hung around to chat with Mel & James who were more than happy to swap stories with us. Cant wait to come back to Austin, C-Boys, and hopefully catch a show with Mel & James again.

The people Ive met here so far are super down to earth and nice, but cool af.If I want a relaxed night with solid live music this is definitely my go-toAppropriately priced drinks, good people, great music. My kinda funky ! Cheap cover $5 on a Sunday night. Just what we came to Austin for. Great vibe Incedible band seriously pleasant staff. Sound guy was able to offer some insight into the local scene and what Austin is. Will be back before we depart.

This place is freaking awesome. Its everything you want. Great drinks, Divey atmosphere, awesome live music (soul bands), Bartenders get to choose the vinyl they want to play (and they only get to play soul / r&B records, which is awesome.Ive come here on a few dates and a few catch-ups and had a great time, each and every time. The first floor of the joint is a bar with a stage area and a great little patio out back with loads of seating. upstairs, they have a sexy lounge area (i remember it being all red). All in all, i really like this place and love coming back

I’ve been to c boys a few times since it’s in the neighborhood. It’s great for live music, but they have always seem to have an issue with their cover and getting their staff on the same page. They’ll come around hounding you even though you just paid and will try to get you to pay twice after being in for 10 minutes. They even have the bartender Hounding you. It really ruins the vibe and experience .. especially as someone who lives in the neighborhood and tries to support local entertainment. Each bar purchase includes an additional $1 fee and it just seems like they’re trying to bleed you dry

Great little hole in the wall drinks and music venue that is all Austin and hip to the bone! This is old-school Austin keeping things soulful and real. Great decor and just cozy enough to ensure that you will love it here. Dont forget to check out The Jade Room upstairs for an even more intimate setting. The music is downstairs, but the lounging is upstairs. While there, dont miss a chance to check out the bathrooms upstairs. Why, you ask? Theyve won the Austins best bathroom award no less than two times! Sweet! Check it out - you will certainly be coming back for more.

Grooveline Horns Tuesdays are a hoot, Flyjack lately on Mondays, whats not to love?! Halal yall on site makes a great Gyro to boot!Had a great time during their SXSW parties this year too, better sightlines than Lucys had anyway.Original review: Quickly became my favorite club in Austin. For any Bay Area folks, its a very Boom Boom Room vibe, only better IMO which is saying A LOT. The monday night funk jams are an absolute blast. Trube, Farrell, and Snizz was also an incredible set. Cheap drinks, good times, nice patio, and in my neighborhood! Gonna have to come check back often!

A uniquely intimate Austin venue to see great talent.

One of my favorite clubs in Austin. The performers are first rate and the bartenders and staff are friendly and welcoming. I recommend this place to friends and families and often bring out-of-town guests here for a real Austin experience.

I cant believe I had never been to this place off South Congress. They had an amazing band playing salsa music all night and the atmosphere was great. People were showing off their salsa skills and the sitting area was a great place to sit back and admire. Overall, its a great place to get away from the South Congress craziness and enjoy some really unique bands.

Came here specifically to see Miss Lavelle White-I was blown away. She was incredible and I’m so glad I came while she was here. C-Boys is a legendary old school venue hosting nothing but the best performers. Do yourself a favor and come see some real music. Some performances require a cover at the door (cash only), but they have an atm machine outside. It’s a pretty small venue, but it fits the vibe and there’s plenty of spots to sit. There’s a full bar, friendly bar staff, occasional wait staff and a chill doorman.

Great club for live music. Intimate size allows you to get close to the music. Layout allows you to move away from the noise if you want to talk with your friends. Nice bartenders.

These guys don’t care one bit about the neighborhood. They’re constantly playing loud music way past the city’s limit and it’s waaaaay louder than allowed. Don’t answer phone or respond to emails. Not good neighbors. I can hear the bass thumping in my bedroom at almost 2 am. On a school night. NOT COOL.

Drinks at C-Boys are pretty average-priced, with a vodka soda being $4. However, upstairs on the south side of the building is Jade Room, which charges a ridiculous $5.50 for a vodka soda. Also on the south side of the building is the Original New Orleans Po Boy & Gumbo Shop trailer. Great bands at C-Boys, and reasonable cover charge if you actually end up paying one, which I didnt. Shiny, heart-shaped mirror at the bar, along with a turntable and records.

A great club, drinks are a good price and some great artists play at the club. Rosie Flores and Dave Thomas are pictured at C-Boys.

I loved the two different type of venues it was 10 bucks to get in but worth it!! The upstairs ones with live jazz music was more our style.

Formerly Trophys, C-Boys is one of the swankiest spots in Austin. Great bartenders and the place just has the coolest vibe. Very intimate indoor stage where you can see anyone from Jimmy Vaughan to Miss Lavelle White to 8 1/2 Souvenirs. The decor is perfect and the drinks are fine.

Great spot to hang out and have a good time. Everyone is friendly, and the bartenders are great! Highly recommended!

Went to see Jane Ellen Bryants single release. This is an awesome band and she is an incredible vocalist, too bad the sound sucked so bad. A venue that touts itself as one of the top live music venues needs to get a better sound system or a sound person that knows how to run sound. Very disappointed as were many other patrons as well as the band members and their producer Frenchie Smith.

Wasn’t busy so that’s not the reason that both bartenders were downright rude. The male bartender was the worst; awful. Shouldn’t have a job bartending if he doesn’t like people. I hope he isn’t there when I go back. Sure as hell won’t get a tip.

Drinks are reasonably priced and the bands that play are really good, the baristas are very kind! And no entry fee on Sundays!! BE SURE TO TIP THE BANDS so that they keep coming!!!!!

PREFERABLY DONT GO. NO CAMERAS AND THE STAFF IS WORTHLESS WHEN THERE IS AN ISSUE!! STAY AWAY!! Cost YOU TOO MUCH IN THE END!!!

Coolest bar on soco, only two stars because of the dbag door guy on Thursdays who tries to fight customers and band members.

Good live club in Austin. In contrast to the Honky Tonks, you can hear not only Country & Western but also Rhythm & Blues and other styles. You can sit comfortably outside, drink your beer and chat when its too loud inside.
