Great location to go to, if you want to dance. I was at the VIP section and the bass was loud and not in a good way. They need to fix the sound to not hit your bones in the VIP section. We paid cover and bottle service, you would think the exclusive area would be comfortable. No hombre!!

First I’d like to start off by saying I haven’t even been to this club. I have a trip planned to SA and was looking into the nightlife. The owners responses to less than positive reviews has left a disgusting taste in my mouth. If you’re innocent there is no such need to be so defensive. Your reaction to bad reviews only reeks of guilt. There is a way to respond to bad press, and this isn’t it. If you care at all about customer feedback, show a little understanding and sympathy! All these customers with horrible experiences can’t be wrong for no reason. Do better as an establishment, and instead of being so sensitive, be a problem solver! Fix these concerns because it’s a really bad look! You just lost multiple potential customers.

I cannot wait to return to this establishment. Being handicap I tend to be a bit anxious about going out to bars and clubs. Often because parking isn’t easy to find and in crowded places it’s hard to maneuver with a walker. I was pleasantly surprised that sound check had plenty of parking and the Owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure my party and I had amazing time . The Owner went out of his way to greet me at the entrance and escort us to a table , throughout the night he came several times to make sure I was enjoying myself. He takes a pride in making sure he has created an amazing environment for all to feel welcome and safe and have an amazing time , which we absolutely did! Everyone so polite and attentive. I think it’s show so much character that he stays open later to allow his clientele to continue dancing while also deterring violence at whataburger and drunk driving because you have up to three hours to sober up with water and also tacos from the stand outside. If that isn’t someone who cares for their community I don’t know what is. Thank you so much to everyone at Sound check for allowing me to have such an amazing experience!P.S. Ladies you will be safe waiting for your tacos because security is always present!

The owner is amazing and attentive of everything throughout the night to make sure everyone can have a good time. Security officers are very good as well on top of everything for everyone’s safety. Definitely recommend this place. The ambience and music is also nice & they have a great DJ!

This is a must! Stop by and dance the night away in a upbeat place with great music to get everyone up and out on the floor! Margaritas are yummy bartenders are super nice! Management is top notch and cares for his guest and new comers are well taken care of!! Security is great and provided a secure, safe atmosphere👍 thank you guys for an amazing fun night! First time here from the valley and unfortunately didnt like it. The sign outside was missing like 2 or 3 letters. Some of the staff seemed like they were high. We ordered a bottle for $200 and some and upon drinking from it were told we couldnt do that. The place closes at 3am but the security started picking up our drinks at 2:20 am. Also, there is too much lighting at the tables at the top.The music was good and there are a lot of restroom stalls.

The owner is the white brutally hit a women, who was asking for help. A gentleman threw his bottle in the trash can and was attacked by four of their security because they didn’t like how he threw the bottle in the trash, keep in mind that is what the owner stated. She thought it would be safe and ask for him and when she did she was attacked. Both the women and the man brutally attacked are left with horrible scratches, marks, brusing, black eyes. Police is involved there will be justice. This isn’t the 1st, 2nd time the owner has used his “power” to degrade the people who pay his lifestyle. This is supposed to be a safe place to go and it’s not. There is a video that has gone viral and will continue to till justice is served.

We are from out of town and this was our first time at this establishment. Security was friendly and very professional. Felt very safe and at home. Staff was top notch. We would also like to give a shout out to JR for making us feel welcome and checking on us to make sure everything was fine. Will definitely come back.

Really nice layed back place with great tejano music

When a club has 4 police in the front and armed security all over the place inside makes you think how fun is this place really. The dance floor was filled with people dancing but no one is smiling, also the average age of this place was probably 50. So many better places to go to with much better atmosphere. There was only 2 bartenders working the main bar with an average wait of 10 mins per order and they worked at a slow pace as if it was their first time. And the cover was $15 a person. Not worth it at all save your money and go somewhere else, anywhere else and youll have a lot more fun.

To get in is $15 so just a heads up! The people and music there it’s great! Really nice, nobody bothering nobody just a little small the area to dance but we had a great time. We just had a problem with our drinks were taken of out table twice, which the manager helped us out at the end, I just hope they’ll not do that.. but overall a nice place, the bartenders really cool people and the dj and host was amazing and hilarious! Coming back for sure !

Customer service is a 10 the security guys are a 10 they go above and beyond for the patrons to keep them safe and are very helpful.

To start, $15 cover… that’s insane. Good music, bad service. Manager was on point, in occasion. The only problem was when I got back from the dace floor my drink was gone; that happened twice! Extremely disappointing, especially when they’re $20 each!!!. Spoke to the manager, said he’ll let my friends and I in for free next time, so we’ll see

Came from out of town to celebrate my friends birthday. It was my first time at this place that unfortunatly does not accept gay people. I get it its not a gay bar but should at least be polite. Long story short my party and I got kicked out. I do not recomend this place.

I really wanted to love this place. The music is bomb. However, my best friend and I were in line waiting to go in until somebody (security or workers) started talking about our footwear. I was wearing pretty sparkly pink shoes and my best friend was wearing comfortable Vans because we both have foot problems. Let’s just say they started making fun us and insulting us about our attire. We were dressed appropriately (covered up and all) and that was super embarrassing.. Not everybody can walk nor dance in cute high heels. Some of us have medical problems so therefore people shouldn’t be made fun of because of FOOTWEAR.

I love this place. Every time I go I have a great time! The owner is very down to earth and humble. He walks around asking if you are ok. I absolutely love this place, I’ve never had a bad experience here. I always have a great time. The owner is so sweet and kind and the people selling tacos are the sweetest!!! Even the bartenders are great. We have a good relationship from coming so often they remember us and our drink orders. Feels like family there. I highly recommend this place!!

ABSOLUTELY the best by far!! It’s not the typical night spot. From the moment you enter the parking lot the staff is friendly and welcoming. JR makes rounds and personally makes sure you are having a good time and lets you know up front ignorance is not tolerated from anyone (males and females). Music was good but the only thing lacking is reasonable prices for table(s). they wanted $250 for two table w/ one bottle included or 200 just for the tables. I ask if instead of the bottle to give us beer that we were planning to spend a great amount but refused to take the offer. at the end of the day we end up spending around $500 and for not wanting to gives the tables @a descent price, several tables were left untouch. Place needs updates, adding space doesnt hurt (my opinion). need to add restrooms area

Last night my family was assaulted at this establishment. Beat on and pepper sprayed for absolutely NOTHING. The owner and the staff there were very unprofessional about how they handle things and still lie about what happened. But the video of people who recorded in there don’t lie. Justice will be served so that these people don’t get away with treating customers this way again.

My husband and I went to this club Saturday night for the first time. We ended up meeting the owner outside and he was very friendly and informative. Drinks are a great price. The environment was amazing. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be returning.

The place itself was nice and roomy but the bouncers were not up to date on the promotions for the evening and if the place gets an air conditioner I would probably stay longer and drink more. It was way too hot which made it uncomfortable. The bartenders were really nice and tried to be accommodating.

Must admit that when we arrived we were greeted a bit dry, it was more like I have to check you and then silence. at no time was there a enjoy have fun .they saw our ID’s which are from Washington state which would make them think we don’t really don’t know the entrance to this place... it was just an awkward walk to the door. but then We loved El Volcan! I’ve never seen a bar/club where they take good care of women.if you come alone the securitys are going to make sure that nobody is bothering you and that you are safe. The 5 star rating is for the Desperado from the 90s.....Cant really give an opinion on how this club is now, but I remember going to Desperados in the 90s. We always had a blast. At that time, the club was opened Wednesday-Sunday. Management, bouncers, bartenders and waitresses were all amazing people. Every night was Tejano with some country and hip-hop. When Desperados closed, it was very sad news to take in. There was no other club out there like it. We were regulars. We knew the owners and the staff. We were always taken care of. Its hard to find a good Tejano place now a days.

This weekend we witnessed the disturbance at this place and I can vouge for these people who were treated like they did something wrong. I saw the young guy get assulted by another male and nothing was done about it. Crazy how the owner is responding to these people with a completely different scenario to make them look bad. They definitely overreacted and over powered this family. The owner at this place needs to be humbled before he he really hurts somebody. By the looks and sound of it he gets away with this kind of stuff more than he should just saying stay away.

We came to visit S.A. with 4 other couples to celebrate my husbands bday from Dallas. After a nice dinner at J-Prime Steakhouse we decided to give Desperados a try. I called earlier in the day to verify what type of music they played and they told me a mixture of everything. We show up with a ridiculously long line and paid $50 for valet to skip the line and paid $150 at the door to get in. No one informed us that we were to wear the mask the entire time, bought 3 buckets of beer ($120) and went to the back bar to order shots (which we ordered) & ALMOST spend $250 on a valet section until i verified what the dj would be playing on that night which was all Norteño. So we decided not to, originally all we wanted to do was have a few drinks and shots with our friends to continue celebrating my husbands bday but then he got marked (as a warning) like were children to keep track of any disobeying orders or something. Very disturbing & uncomfortable! The bartender kept serving others instead of finishing our shots so we decided to leave. Never again will we return. Let me just say this.. We are completely aware of having to take precautions with this entire pandemic were all facing however in Dallas, its nothing like this. They went overboard with the security harassments.

Highly don’t recommend coming here. witnessed the owner and security get violently physical with a family from someone who went up to one of the guys and hit him this weekend. no reason for everyone who got involved in the incident to get so violent the way they did when the family didn’t do anything. they also pepper sprayed two lady’s from the family for trying to explain the situation. 4 security guards were on top of a older man. i saw the owner hit one of the younger guys on the head while he was bleeding they didn’t get him any help. the two females that got pepper sprayed tried to leave and that’s when they pepper sprayed them.

Cool bar for Hip-Hop/dance music. I had fun, loud and crowded but the staff handles it well. 18+ crowd, mainly hip hop. Cover and parking fees a bit high for what you get. $10 for parking at an abandoned strip mall on a Friday? Eh. Still fun though.

Worst club Ive been too. Got here when they opened, and went to one of their three bars and it was closed with two staff members behind that bar....So I proceed to the only opened bar and they dont take cards. Really!!!! It stinks...they need to spend money on cleaning their carpets. Two pool tables and one is out of service. Ghetto club.The staff has attitude and forgets Im the customer, coming here to spend my money. This is the first and last time for sure!!!! The only reason Im here is because its a cousins birthday party, other than that, I wouldnt be wasting my time at a place like this.Ice Lounge was soooo much better.

This place needs to be shut down. To many similar stories of people being assaulted by the owner and his staff. The excessive force they use on these people is outrageous. I witnessed them throwing a girl to the floor then pepper spraying her when she was already walking away. This place is a joke.

Dont go to this place if you want to have fun dressed as a transgender female to male. The owner will beat you up like youre a male. Better let your officers handle any and all situations.

It caters to the younger crowd and its certainly ghetto but most of the folks are pretty friendly and dont bother you. Music selection has been going downhill i.e. more gangster rap and less old school and Top 40. If youre a woman you can wear just about anything and still get in. The standard for guys isnt much higher either. Cheap drinks though!

If you want to get hit on by the commentator this is the place. I turned him down but a lot of women that attend that place have gone to bed with him. Not fake at at all he even gave me his street name something oasis by the airport.

Great place to go dace Saturday night, they play everything norteñas, cumbia, banda I love this place if u want to have fun el Volcán is the place plus the owners are really honest people last Saturday I lost my purse it was an 1,800 dollars purse and they returned it to me my ID my debit card everything was there I’m guessing they have honest employees too because if I would have lost it somewhere else I don’t think I would of have it back… Big thanks to the owners and to the staff

Really bad place... Guys were messing with us, security told us that they would take care.... but they didnt do anything... And after a couple minutes they decided to kicked us out without explanation and their security threatened to arrest us when we were trying to get a civilitzated explanation.. do not go to this place if you bring your wife or girlfriend without exposing to the same situation...

This place used to be the place to be on Sunday nights many years ago .The music was awesome with 80s newave and new hip hop dominating the dance floor . This no longer happens. This Place now sucks, full of ghetto people from the Southside who act like a bunch of middle schoolers . the only thing I have now is great memories of a place that used to be great place to hang out with friends. This place has gone way down hill! Its now a cowboy Tejano hang out. Nothing like it used to be. You have to wear a collared shirt and dress shoes or cowboy boots! We need to warn people before you go there of what to expect. What a waste of my time!

I have loved Joes Volcano since I first went. I had an absolute blast, music was poppin, energy was just exciting, drinks were great and bartenders were awesome.

We were expecting Tejano music what we walked into after spending 30 bucks for cover was freaking circus music. Definitely not Tejano and Definitely not returning.

Had a great time, awsome music and good service. Over exeeded expectations!!! I recommend this place anytime, going back for sure tomorrow..

Terrible place, no respect , the security guards beat my son last night because he was wearing his beisball hat backward, he was kick all over his body while 4 of them hold him to the ground, my son has 4 kids never goes out, he tough they were kiddind when all of them jumped into him and put him to the ground like a criminal, he was no armed and was not hitting nobody
