It’s $$$ and the DJ quality for the price is mid. Also in the state of MA you are legally required to offer free water at an establishment where you sell alcohol. The bartenders lie and say they don’t have tap water accessible. Call them on it! Legally they have to offer it to you. Feels a little shady for a place that typically has a $30 cover.Shots are $16. Beer is $7

Ears are still ringing exactly 3 days after going here. Way, way too loud. Bad music. Small dance floor. $35 cash only cover. Expensive drinks. Would not recommend.

Boston Ravers hosted a sold-out event in the side room at Icon nightclub last Saturday, and we want to give a huge shoutout to the staff members, bartenders, security, and the nightclub itself for their hospitality and for making the event a success. The side room has amazing lights, visuals, and sound, making it the perfect venue for techno and house music events. We would definitely give the side room 5 stars and highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a successful event. Boston Ravers will definitely be back hosting more events and we could not have asked for a better venue and experience. Thank you ICON!

Drinks are overpriced and bartenders are extremely rude. Had two blonde bartenders - first one who automatically tipped herself and didnt even hand me the receipt so I could sign for myself. Then another one who was already being rude when serving drinks and talking to us, before we could even sign our receipt, then expected a huge tip. I understand tips are important but that still comes at the discretion of the customer and the service received. Its not required, especially if falsely signing and doing it without the customers knowledge. Horrible service and just avoid coming here so you can try not to get scammed.

I literally lost my hearing here it’s going on day 3 of ringing in my ears from the awful speakers. Everyone in my group of people lost there hearing. Do not go here! This establishment is super negligent I have never gone out anywhere and lost my hearing before. I wish I had of looked at reviews because I now see that others have dealt with the same issue of loosing hearing going here.

This place is straight garbage. $40 cover charge for what? The bouncers are highschool dropouts without any braincells. Threw my travel mouthwash out in my pocket and wouldnt let me bring it in even though clearly labeled? Go anywhere else and spend $40 and you will have a better time. Bouncers are unintelligent and arrogant people (don’t even know where it came from) and even told other people, “hey, they snitched on you”. Man, are you saying that if you just are so blind to not see someone puke on the floor, then they will still be let it. What a BAD club! Never going back again.

THEY TREAT YOU LIKE TRASHSaturday night (12/16) My wife and I got there 11 PM, paid $80 for the Hip-Hop night. But there was no hip-hop as advertised. We bought 2 expensive drinks there and then went to ask questions to the ticket attendant (young man in his 20s). We got despised by him and by the ticketing staff there. We complained to the manager who pretended they were about to solve it but management didnt care. We have to leave our drink on the front desk counter and promised to never go back there.

The bouncers harass everyone at the door, including women. If you’re a young woman looking to go dancing, just know that the bouncers will scream at you to move rather than guide you to the correct line to be checked in. Additionally, please do not go dancing if you’re in a group of mostly girls. Since the bouncers harass women, the club is mostly men on popular nights and the gender imbalance makes for a foul atmosphere.

Club opened 45 mins late, then charged $35 cover fee which is absolutely ridiculous. Drinks were overpriced and the DJ sucked played nothing but the same sounding latin music the whole night without ever putting this on their website. They also had the second dance room entirely closed, again this wasn’t mention on the website or reflected in the cover charge 😐🖕. Ratio of guys to girls was at least 4 to 1, and overall the vibes were not there. Would not recommend this club, it is one of the worst I have ever been to.

Staff was rude. I had came in late and could not get in free for 11. When one of the nice workers said that she felt bad because she told my friend I could still get in for free since we had signed up for the guest list, I believe it was her manager? She was lightskin with dark hair said you shouldnt feel bad, SHE should feel bad. She as in referencing to me. I had came in late due to a train delay. I do not know why she felt the need to say that, since I was willing to pay in the first place, and was not arguing back with her? She was overly rude and aggressive, and quite frankly I was put off as soon as I came in through to door. I would not recommend this club at all, especially with miss stank attitude. Its funny, you would think with the club being ran like the military by some woman with a 2 week old silk press and the worst customer service face imaginable, it would be a safe space to dance with strict policies. Well, that was a lie, considering when I was in the club, I was groped by a strange man. Honestly, she needs to step down as the certified pocket watcher and instead put on the bouncer uniform and get to work. Her personality much rather suits the aggressive role, goodness gracious. -2/10 experience. Please go somewhereelse. Preferably somewhere SAFE.

Don’t waste your time here. Was attending a prepaid event and the bouncer immediately denied entry to my listed guest and couldn’t give us a reason why other than “the way he walked.” Claimed he was the manager while puffing his e-cig in our faces. Another staff member came out and told me my guest was denied due to “his attitude.” We were unwilling to slip them cover for a listed guest at a prepaid event so they decided to ruin our night instead.

Easily one of the worst club I have been to. Bouncers act like college bar bouncers on a power trip. Once having to have a lengthy conversation with the bouncer. was given attitude by the bar staff and even attempted to be ripped off by making me buy a table. DJ was pretty mediocre at best. kinda sounded like a frat basement. overall, would not recommend to any of my friends for worry of the same experience.

Don’t waste your time here. Bouncers are happy letting in people drinking nips and puking around the corner but want a random power trip and won’t let in some people just patiently waiting in line. They try to force people to pay cover for a prepaid event. I’ve seen people get stretchered out. The list goes on and on and after 2 visits to Icon I will never go back. My experiences are so bad I honestly have no idea how people are leaving positive reviews for this place

Pretty clean, although the floor was rather sticky. There was a fun atmosphere with good music and a very cool smoke machine. Water was free and the staff was very nice :)

Worst experience ever. Bouncers get off on making themselves feel like they are special. Also one of them was blowing their e cigarette in my face like a child. Guy needs to figure his life out, seems like he enjoys making other people miserable. They were definitely trying to extort for more money to get in when it was already a prepaid event.

I wish I would had read all of the bad reviews before. Well, we were in line since 10:25pm but they didn’t let us in but until 10:45pm for some reason I don’t know ( they are supposed to open at 10:30pm). They didn’t even bother to apologize to us. Security personnel was very rude and unprofessional. Drinks were overpriced,people spilling their drinks over the dance floor. Music was too loud and not that great. $30.00 cash only to get in. I wouldn’t recommend this place 👎

The bouncers at this facility are RACIST!!!!! My friend was not let in even though she had a REAL (unlike most of the other visitors) ID because it was Korean and she didn’t have another official physical form of documentation. SO DUMB

There always going to be a bad reviews on certain places and time I understand. Because I truly did experience a bad night here. Here it go. They kept the line long so it would look like it was jamming. They ONLY let girls in first before the guys. So if your going as a couple, best of luck your man could be standing outside the rest of the night. Their admission fee is $30 not on the guest list. If on a guest it $20. Before entering thinking, it a big place to move around in. There was NO where to even breath. I gave them 1 star because music was good. If you like being in small closet with a price that the same as a good meal. This is a great place for you. Enjoy your visit, please dont let the bouncer harass you out the door.

Five security guards surrounded a single female and refused to return a check coat. Attended to celebrate a friends birthday and was asked to leave the club for leaning against a stage. Petty reason to ask someone to leave a club, but no issues. They refused to return my check coat and five huge security guards surrounded me. Quite pitiful. Stay away

This place is a SCAM and FRAUD. Its a loot going on here. My friends and my receipts were all manipulated and on the same night, on 3 separate occasions, on 3 different credit cards and out of our knowledge and consent, waitress added 30% tips on our bill (we actually paid the tips in cash) and we have been charged $30 more on credit card.In my case, I clearly remember that I signed and wrote down $38 on the receipt and signed. After 3 days, I checked my statement and I was charged $48 instead. When we called the management and informed about this incident, instead of helping us and refunding us the difference, they said that they talked to the bartender and (of course) she refused any such manipulation and they didnt give us any money. They didnt take any hard action. So, basically management supports such illegal activities.And ya, where this was just illegal and fraud, even when we were in guest list and reached the place before 11 pm, we were still charged the cover fee. When we asked the reason and said that we would talk to the organizer, the organizer would come after 10 minutes and said that then the time was beyond 11pm!!!NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. DONT GO HERE EVER..

Great music, could be super fun but I literally have hearing loss from this place. It’s so loud that you can’t talk to anyone you’re with which makes it less fun and you wake up the next day feeling like there’s cotton balls in your ears. There’s also nothing separating the tables from the dance floor which is annoying when you get bottle service because there’s random people in your space and people kept stealing our drinks lol

Went there almost 20 hours ago. WAY too loud music to the point of deafness… $30 cover charge to get deaf. No thanks. My ears are still ringing… Lower volume and $10 cover max to be reasonable

We had our own table, and yet it took us over an hour to get our first drink (got in around 11:30pm and drinks didn’t come until after 12:30am). Not only that, but compared to other clubs we didn’t really have a table escort. Got through the line, then pretty much fended for ourselves until we found the table that had our “reserved” card on it. Oh, and also once we finally got our bottle of vodka it was taken away from our table when it was still full and people hadn’t gotten their drinks yet.

As you can tell from the previous reviews they have an exorbitant cover charge to get in to a tiny place, which could be forgivable if it weren’t for the fact the bar tenders at this Club will literally make up charges for drinks you never had.Checked my bank statement after going here and had 4 pending payments when I only ordered 3 drinks 3 separate times… makes sense. I follow up and check my statement a week later thinking it must have been a mistake nope 4 different charges to my account totaling 80 dollars for 3 drinks I had ordered while at this “club”. Bear in mind they charge 16 dollars per drink and had the audacity to tip themselves the most on the fraudulent charge. This place should be shut down for fraud. It is more akin to a Thieves Den than a club their business practices are disgusting and fair to say I will never be back.Do yourselves and your wallet a favor go down the street to Royale or any other club, you’ll have a much better time and they won’t steal from you.

Its a perfect club for what it is. Great Friday night start the weekend kinda place for me, when my Boston friends are starting early. Big enough to move around, not lose interest. Not too big like a Saturday night venue in the city. But you may hear an echo. Decent sound I think, bartenders were really nice and so was the coatcheck staff.

If you leave your card behind the bar, expect them to overcharge you by a significant margin. If you try to dispute, they won’t provide you with an itemized receipt. However, if you ask for the manager, a manager will promptly come to meet you (after several attempts), to lead you outdoors and lock the doors behind you. I would recommend not leaving your card behind the bar, or putting a limit on your card, if possible.

Okay place. Only the smaller of the two dance floors was open even though it was a Saturday and too packed to move. Bar serves only straight drinks. Dj went for decibels over style. The venue staff was the nicest I have ever encountered in Boston.

Its a small place and has 2 halls. They received $5 for coat check-in and a person was standing near the restroom to get tip from the people! The prices for drinks were so high! The sound quality could be better.

If Bernie Madoff had a night club. We got a table for approximately $1,300 and received a platform with bench seating in the back of the club behind the dance floor (literally couldnt pick a worse seat in the house), a 1.75L bottle of Casamigos Tequila (retail $100) and a 750ml bottle of Moet Champagne (retail $50), and lack luster amateur service. To summarize: run down dated club, laughable VIP table conditions and value, inexperienced staff, and absolute Ponzi scheme pricing for the alcohol. If you care about money, or anything for that matter, do not go here.

Welcome to the new Icon Night Club, it is essentially the same layout as the old Rumor but with a revamped audio and video system. So if youve been to Rumor you wont be lost. The revamped audio and video system is definitely noticeable in both rooms. In the main room the massive DJ booth sits front and center with state of the art displays surrounding them. In the smaller room the video system is a great backdrop to the bar.They run a variety of different nights here, but regardless this is an establishment where you must dress to impress so collared shirts and dress shoes are a must for guys, if not a sport coat. On the night I went it was mostly hip hop but they are known to do EDM and Latin music in these venues as well.This is one of those places you plan on attending. The door guys can be unfriendly, but can you blame them? There are literally hundreds of people trying to cut the line and name drop on any given night. When I come here I usually RSVP with Ace of 6one7 promotions, this seems to help ease the pain of getting in. Drinks are generally $10 -15 and cover charges range from $20 - 30.

This place is a phenomenal location for a private corporate event. The central location is perfect and the interior layout and decor creates the perfect fun and classy atmosphere. The customizable LED wall was the cherry on top and allowed us to incorporate some flashy branding combined with some fun background graphics from the person in charge of AV. The DJ was amazing and had the music down to a science, bringing the mood from low key, conversational to more upbeat at the end of the night. The owner managed our event and was an outstanding person to work with from an event planner point of view. He was involved and present through the entire planning process until the very end of our event and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and perfect evening. I would 100% recommend ICON for anyone looking to host an event, either professional and low key or more upbeat nightclub style.

This is the worst place Ive ever been. There was no one in the club when I got in and it was 12:30 am already. They served me a drink 1 minute before they closed the club and turned the lights on because they are so desperate to make money. To kick me out, they grabbed my drink from my hand and threw it in the trash with extreme disrespect and in an abusive manner. I was shocked by how security men treated us. Never go there. The place sucks, its empty, and the security guard are rude, obnoxious, and abusive.

Came here for this 18+ semester kick off party and I loved it. The staff are all very professional and respectful and the music was great. 10/10 experience I would go back.

First time being there, was on Christmas eve. I had a lit time with my cousin. There are two areas: one played hiphop and the next, dancehall. The bathroom was nice n clean with numerous stalls and lots of mirrors. The whole vibe was nice.

Was unaware this place used to be the old Rumor. The transformation is beyond imagination, state of the art entertainment system, really spacious, bars accessible in each corner. I was impressed by the show this establishment put on. It felt like I was in Vegas. Lovely establishment and highly recommend it.

Overpriced. It’s pretty hard to mess up a rum and coke, but this place does just that and charges $15 a drink. Find some bartenders that know how to bartend.

I can’t rate this place with more than three stars. It was supposed to be a latin night, but after playing a few bachata and salsa songs, they completely changed the theme. I didn’t really like the public there, possibly just not not my type of place.

Worst Ever, there are three different lanes for just one club.people for prepaid ticket lanes takes forever, waited 15 mins in the head the lane until special partys organization staff comes and let us in. They just want your money, and they think if you are not paying them directly, you are not their customers and can wait forever.

The website said admission was free before 11pm for the guest list. We arrived earlier and they told us that we still had to pay, which was not the case. We showed them the place and they told us to pay it or leave. They only receive cash so we had to pay a surcharge to use the ATM. When we entered, 3 guards took my friend and I out, I told them that I had paid entry and they told me “you have to get out.” I only paid the entrance fee to be able to use the bathroom and they wouldnt let me go. They forced me to leave and when we went to the entrance the girls told her that she did pay the entrance fee, the problem was her friend (problematic because she claimed that the page said that we should not pay).We were a group of 7 and they did not let one of our friends pass, for no valid reason. The excuse was that “he looked drunk” when in reality he was just like everyone else.The music was nice, a Latin place and thats why the atmosphere is nice. But the employees are disgusting, they treat you with contempt, even when you are spending money there.I would not go again and I do not recommend it at all. There are other bars with Latinos where they are nice.

It is a club, on Saturdays they have Latin music, a very cool place for young people. 👌🏼
