Love that this location has P.O. Boxes available for you to rent out. They have free old time video games you can enjoy. The art sculptures outside are amazing. Love this space, love the cat that live where too.

Found this place by luck drawn in by the funky art. Then we noticed the hidden gift store in the back. Surprisingly big and had a bunch of funny novelty items, smoke shop accessories and much more. Some prices were great, others high but overall a cool place.

I never write reviews but I was completely unerved how I and someone I know (separate days) was treated at this location. I have been a Planet K customer for 5 years, let me first say I DO NOT blame management, and this is my first time visiting this specific location. This store has 2 very rude and un-kind staff members. WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE HAD AT A PLANET K! Very unhelpful and I felt as though I was back in Highschool being bullied by the “popular girls”, because of that experience I don’t think I’ll ever be back at this location. I have since emailed Planet K corporate directly regarding this interaction. Usually the staff at these stores are really nice a chill people NOT HERE!!! Buyers/Smokers Beware!!! Ruined my day and probably will yours!!!

Thankfully some parts of South Austin have yet to be gentrified. This place is still the same after many years. Lots of cool things and bumper stickers.

The people at planet k are always super friendly. They helped us figure out a vape solution. Also have all sorts of gummies and vapes

Sold me a defective water pipe and then refused to let me return or exchange it even though it was unused. They said “the best we could do is offer 15% off another one.” So I can buy another broken piece I’m sure. Planet K used to have good service but not anymore.

Overpriced goods. They sell stuff higher than the cost if you buy directly from manufacturer

I love Planet K! I’ve been shopping at the different locations for over 25 years and they never cease to amaze me with the different accessories they have available for your smoking pleasure — whether it be from posters, pipes, incense, games they have a wide variety to meet everyone’s needs. Sometimes I go just to wander around and see what new items might be calling my name. Thanks Planet K!!

All the other planet K’a are great, but this one sucks. Don’t let a super pale girl with bleach blond ish hair help you. She is rude and will ruin your day.

Kevin was really helpful and patient when it came to us. He was very knowledgeable on the cbd herb and knew witch one were the freshest. I have a disabled girlfriend and he didnt make us feel rushed at all. Also the other Kevin was great as wel! He threw us a lighter and when we said we loved those lighters he gave us another one! Now thats customer service. Its crazy how far something simple goes. I didnt even think to tip them, do they have a tip jar? If so it needs to be bigger.

I spend $80 a day at planet K. This one is the worst, and has lost my business forever. They will not bend the rules and do what other planet K’s do. Never come to this one, they’re terrible.

Nice little shop with a wide selection of items. The free lighter I got with my purchase was pretty awesome too!

Super friendly staff. Store hours are incredible considering how many businesses are still closing up early in spite of the fact that Covid hours were supposed to be lifted over a year ago...

Good selection and customer service

The girls working were so friendly and knowledgeable. They were very patient while I was asking about a detox and used common sense and respect when answering my questions. They also gave me a flyer with a direct number (no waiting or automated message) that allowed me to talk to a representative from the company about my purchase. This is a great location with a good selection. Highly recommend.

The staff was rude at this location, I would avoid this location. If you want the best customer service experience with this company I would recommend the guadalupe location

They need to work on their customer service. There’s about one guy who works there who’s not rude. The first time I went was not a great experience so I went elsewhere. Tried again the other day, definitely a waste of time. I definitely don’t feel comfortable asking questions. Checking out is just stressful and overall uncomfortable. The one in East Austin is much better super cool employees.

Best Planet K. On top of the great vibe, everyone there are genuine top grade people. I once left my wallet here, and after a couple weeks of looking around everywhere I considered it gone.Long story short, Hugo ran all around Austin tracking me down. He finally got my number and contacted me, and I was so relieved. This was in the middle of the pandemic and I was broke and about to have to replace all my cards at that. The wallet was stuffed full of untouched cash and just how I left it. They even refused to let me tip them, just humans being bros.Again, best Planet K.

As always a pleasure doing business with these guys. I hadnt been in this one in years but nothing had changed its just as and warm as ever when you walk in.Their selection of wares is unparalleled.i mean that as a statement about the company itself. Every store is always well stocked and displays are always full. Cant say enough good about planet k. Its obviously owned by the ADHD pot smoking conglomerate... Which is just crazy to me

This place has always been my one stop shop considering i used to live in Barton Hills. Whenever i come into town and i need something Id go here. Last two times people have been rude. One time okay maybe youre having a bad day. Second time yall are just rude. Ill start going to oat Willies or the gas pipe. At least they know what the words customer service mean. Even if their stuff is over priced.

I love planet k :) every time I leave this store I feel like my day is brightened. The gentleman who helped me tonight was awesome. I found exactly what I wanted. I wish I had caught his name! Much love to them!

It really depends who helps you in the store. I bought a vape pen 3 weeks ago, and was helped by an extremely knowledgeable, friendly, young blonde girl (I wish I could remember her name). She told me, Save your receipt, if you have any issues within 30 days bring it back in and Ill help troubleshoot it with you. (These must have a lot of problems because I did need help, as it would never charge after the first use.) I took my receipt and the pen in the store today looking for help. Talked to the guy at the front, he was nice and said Terry will help you, over there. So I went to Terry, who just could not be bothered to be nice, let alone help me with my pen. She basically just looked at me like Im dumb and told me theres nothing she could do. So, why, when I was sold the pen was I told I could be helped, but now all of the sudden theres nothing that can be done? Seems like Terry just couldnt be bothered. Unfortunate, because I always come to Planet K and pay their HIGH PRICES to support my local store, and awesome people who usually help. Terry however ruined it, and I will never be back. (Thank you to the nice blonde who initially helped me). Someone give Terry a hug.

That dude Chey that works there always goes above and beyond every time i come in there, 10/10 with the product knowledge, 10/10 in customer service, dude gets it, and cause of people like him are the reason why planet k is always such a dope place to visit.

I have came to this location at least once a week for a year and a half now. Needed a new grinder and some papers. Picked out my grinder and proceeded to go to the checkout counter. When I gave my card, I handed my ID with it as they usually ask so they can make sure the name matches. Never have a ever once been ID’d there. My girlfriend was with me (she is 25 and I am 26). The guy at the counter asked her for her ID. Well, seeing as we literally never get ID’d she didn’t have hers on her. Long story short, they refused to sell to me EVEN when I had my ID on me. We had to drive all the way home to get my gf’s ID and then come back. When I came back I questioned them about why they don’t ID at the door, seeing as it IS a headshop/adult store. Their response was that they don’t have to ID at doors. I find this very hard to believe seeing as it is an adult store as well. Won’t be spending my money here any more and will no longer recommend to any one else.

This one is a hit and miss for me; last few times I was here- it was only bumbling arrogant tweens who treat you like trash because you have no side chosen between team Edward or Jacob (I think those were their names in the Twilight saga. But the mature register crew such as Kate, and Gabe (who switched to another location) were awesome, helpful, friendly, and if they jugged you;one would never know - lol, there are like 3 whose names I cannot remember ATM; #soundsaboutrightforthisplace who I dearly love- your best bet is with those over 30 and no time for the vampire/werewolves *only reason I didnt give yall a 5-star rating*

Whatever motivated these people to choose a job in customer service is anyones guess. Rude. Have a question about a product they sell? Youre better off guessing because they dont know either. The guy who helped me identified himself as Ice. Grow up and have a little professionalism about you.

I had to leave after hearing the price for kratom! I honestly thought they made a mistake when she told me the price ! Dont even waste your time it robbery, poor quality = ripoff on my opinion..you have been warned

Ive never hated a head shop before planet k. These people piss me off everytime i have any contact with them. Been avoiding this place like its a plague for years now and just got reminded why i do.

Great place to buy everything you need to go through life unaware and niave. Life is hard. Its even harder when your unaware.

Wide range of choices with products beyond the typical scope including disc golf products. Staff is typically pretty helpful, but sometimes hard to find. Next door is the South Austin Popular Culture Museum.

Some staff kind but the one working on the back part was rude and acted like she was troubled to be bothered by customers.

Cool place with nice and interesting things to see, they have a variety of novelties and stuff to smoke like bongs and pipes, the usual.

There were adorable cats hanging out in the shop. one of them booped our puppo on the snoot and it was adorable. also got a neat lil bubbler, great for the price.

What a great store! More of an experience than shopping. Great staff. Great eclectic paraphernalia. Beware the free roaming kitties (theyre nice).

Kind of a fun and interesting gift shop. If you dont smoke there is still a variety of wild gifts and toys.
