Today I hosted a 70s party at the Loft 525. I had several quotes with outrageous prices, but Ms. Joanne gave me such a great deal I had to ask was I her good deed of the day.Anyway, the club is located in a great spot and the staff is amazing, to say the least. The club is clean, modern, cozy, and inviting.I had my own reservations on how the night was going to go because sometimes as the host things can become a bit overwhelming at times. However, Ms. Joanne kept me going with her infinite abundance of positivity and optimism. There were others in my group who also gave me strength, but I want to give the Loft 525 the credit it deserves.My party was from 8 pm to midnight on Saturday, December 9, 2023. By 930 pm, a guest pulled me to the side asking when I would host another party. It took me by surprise because I was pretty stressed leading up to this day. 10 pm came, 6 more people asked me about the next party and how to get tickets. Lets just say, its easier to keep track of the party-goers who did not ask me about a future party.When the night began, the guests all retreated to a table. They sat at their respective tables for 20 minutes or so. Next, a few people started dancing to the Jackson 5 music. Suddenly, every seat in the Loft 525 were empty. Everyone danced and danced.The positive energy of everyone all around and the great drinks the Loft 525 were mixing up played a great role in the huge hit of a party.Thank you to the fantastic staff at the Loft 525. If ever I host another party, there is no question about where I would like to have it.At the Loft 525.On behalf of my guests and myself, I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone at the Loft 525 and I would 2000% recommend the Loft 525. We all had a fantastic time. The DJ really enjoyed himself, as well.

DO NOT BOOOOOKKKK!!!Unfortunately we made a BIG mistake and had my daughter’s 10th birthday at The Loft. Joann (JoJo) is the owner/operator there and she is the RUDEST person I have ever had to work with!! She is also dishonest!!!We booked the space for 3 hours and spent so much money. Here is some of what we experienced:1. We paid for a bar tender for 3 hours but she only hired him for 2 hours. Our guests arrived and had nothing to drink for the first hour of the party. The bartender walked in 45 mines late and told us that Joann only hired him for 2 hours. Joann pocketed that extra money.2. Our decorations vendor and DJ needed elevator access but she refused to let them use it. They had to walk up and down the steps with heavy equipment.3. She forced our guests to wear armbands upon entry into the space. We were never informed about guests having to wear an armband! So tacky!!! My dad didn’t want to wear the armband and he was told that he can’t get food if he doesn’t wear it. It was so embarrassing. I had no idea she planned to do that.4. She spilled juice all over 2 of our guests and refused to say sorry. She just yelled at my dear friends, demanding that they remove their hand bags from the table.5. She kept sticking her finger in the drink pitchers and when I brought it to her attention, she yelled at me too.6. She also refused to let the DJ start playing music until 2:15pm. Why? We paid for the space from 2-5pm!She is truly the nastiest person I have ever met. All of the negative reviews online are true. She is disrespectful and unprofessional!I pray she gets the help that she needs.Oh and by the way, she will say that this review is fake and that it is old. That is simply untrue!

Was interested in having a birthday party here... until I spoke with the host. This space is a room on top of a movie theater, not a wedding haul. However I was quoted $90 PER PERSON for a simple birthday party. I asked for minimum requirements but she said food must be provided by her. Regardless, $90pp is what some WEDDING venues charge (not even an open bar) Yet this is a room on top of a movie theater. Who would spend $90 per person for a simple birthday party ?? I can have it literally almost anywhere else for less money WITH an open bar and my guests wont have to walk into little movie theater to get there. The owner Jo needs a reality check or that space will stay unused

I just had my big birthday party here and it was a great experience. First, Joann is extremely responsive and easy to work with. I came to see the place multiple times before my party and she was always there to greet me or had someone from the movie theatre let me in. The place is beautiful. I was able to get in 3 hours before to decorate and the room came out beautiful. I was extremely happy with everything from start to finish. I only wish I had gone with the Piccolo package instead of a different restaurant to cater but that was my fault not theres. Joann also got in touch with all my vendors to confirm all the times, that was a big help too. I recommend The Loft at the Bellmore Playhouse for any event or party you are throwing.

RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!! I attended my nieces wedding here and witnessed the most appalling behavior and thievery!! The owner Jo Jo was rude, unprofessional and a crook! She managed to single handedly destroy what was supposed to be the day every little girl dreams of. She promised to be there to set up for a reception that was supposed to start at 5:00 by 1:00 pm. She didn’t show up until after 4:00 adding unnecessary emotional distress to a day that should have been a dream come true. Open bar was paid for and we were charged for apple juice! I am sure drinks were mostly water and not alcohol! Then before cake and dessert were served she demanded more $ to pay her staff. Has this woman ever heard of a contract?! This newly married couple already paid for services they received which were poor. Then they never got to have their wedding cake and other desserts or the last dance. When they refused to pay more $ she instructed her staff to close everything down and started taking down decorations. In effect, she was holding their wedding hostage to get more $. The bride was crying on her wedding day all because of this black-hearted, money hungry thief! Save yourself the heartache and pick a different venue!!!

I wish I could give this place and the woman who runs it 0 stars. Joann who runs it is extremely nasty and unprofessional. We had my daughters baptism at the Loft in April and it was a disaster. She double booked the room (which I later found out happened to a friend of mine months earlier) so we couldnt set up for the party until 10 minutes before guests arrived. She made us wait for appointments and was extremely rude throughout the entire process. I felt so uneasy leading up to the event date because she was so scattered and not trustworthy. She refused to return our security deposit after we requested a partial refund for breach of contract. The contract stated that we would have access to the space to set up 2 hours prior to the start of our party. Again, there was another party already there. She also claimed that we had more guests than we actually did, which was not true at all. Im pretty sure I know who was in attendance and my kids baptism. Overall, the worst experience ever. We had to threaten to take her to court for our deposit and my husband had to go down there and refuse to leave the establishment until she finally gave it back. Save yourself the headache and I highly recommend that you DO NOT BOOK A PARTY HERE!

If there was an option for negative stars I would choose that. The woman running this facility was absolutely unprofessional, late, and a con artist. I was a part of a bridal party and saw first hand how this woman JoJo treats customers. She did not deliver on several things which I personally witnessed her promise the bride. This woman arrived 30 minutes before the wedding was to begin with the TABLECLOTHS. We had to scramble to arrange the tables before guests began arriving. The bride was so upset at the beginning of her big day. But the biggest problem was at the end of the reception, just before cake was served, this woman had the audacity to ask the bride and groom for an additional $500.00 claiming she could not pay her staff. Im pretty sure as an owner, if you cant pay your own employee, thats YOUR problem. As such, the bride began crying and getting emotional. All of the guests went to defend the new couple and in return the staff began shutting down the party, removing decor and NEVER served the cake or deserts. At that point the best option was to take the decor and dessert and leave. Upon doing so, an elderly guest had picked up an item he had assumed was a part of the centerpiece to assist in clean up. This woman JoJo went up to him and tried to yank the glasses out of his hand without a word. He did not release the cups as he thought they were the brides and JoJo gabbed this man by the shoulders. DO NOT HAVE ANY TYPE OF CONTACT WITH THIS PLACE. Save yourselves the money and awful experience.

Run!! The reviews here of people having a horrible experience with the owner are true! She’s a crook! Attended a 50th birthday party here last night and it ended in an argument because the owner lied to the host and shut the bar down an hour early. When asked for the contract the owner first refused to show it and then hid in the back room doing something shady. Just save yourself time and headaches and go somewhere else.

Had my wife’s 40th Birthday there back in July. What a great experience. The entire staff was great and extremely helpful with preparation.Joanne the manager is so nice and helpful. Everything went perfectly. All my guests were asking how I found this place. thank you for a great party and easy experience.

I would suggest looking elsewhere for a venue, for your event. I recently attended a wedding here, and the owner/ Maitre D was very unprofessional. She wore a jumpsuit, and was very unpleasant. At the end of the wedding she told the bride that she needed an additional five hundred dollars, because she couldnt pay her employees.

Always a fun experience with cool musicians.

The Loft hosted my sister’s baby shower and it was amazing. From the staff to the owners I was extremely impressed by there hospitality...not to mention JoJo was very professional. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this location for your next event because you wont be disappointed!! Best experience, I love this place !!!!

Had my wifes 50th Birthday party at The Loft. The room was beautiful and the staff was professional. Very accommodating and fulfilled all our needs. Thanks to Joanne and staff.

The owner is very rude. Do not come here they doble booked parties the same day so you literally get kicked out of the place. By the way I feel so bad for the employees she was yelling at them it was a mess.

Its a nice place and the open mic is amazing. Looking forward to going back.

Nice place, but no way for anyone who cant walk up a steep flight of stairs to get in to.
