This is our local neighborhood Bar, we visit here often. We like this sports bar because it’s big and has a rooftop and plenty of space. They got karaoke evenings and dancing club vibe as well on some nights. And you can watch a game on any of the TV’s spreads on the two floors of the property.The food is always great, which is surprising for a bar.We especially like taco Tuesday, they use this amazing cilantro sauce for the steak and shrimp tacos and it’s honestly one of the best tacos I ate.This bar very chill straight forward and fun.

Would not recommend for a group. Great location, awesome rooftop bar. Unfortunate service.We booked a get together with 11 of us ladies for a celebration of Moms after the funeral of my mom. They were happy to take the reservation, and we made it clear what we were doing. The get together was at 2pm on a Monday. They placed us at two tables right beside the bar. On the roof at that time, there was one customer at the bar, and two folks at a table around the corner. The young lady that served us was very kind and professional.The music was loud. Since we were talking, we asked them if they might turn the music down. They graciously agreed, but did not. We asked again and were given an apology and still did not turn it down. When we asked a third time, we were barked at aggressively saying, This is a *bar*. We are not turning down the music for you!. It was really aggressive, jolting, and really jarred our get together.Suggestions1. Be gracious. Explain the issue. We were there for a pleasant, introspective celebration. We were not the enemy2. There were 3 people on the entire roof at 2pm on a Monday. You really couldnt accommodate us?3. Maybe not have seated us right beside the bar where it was the loudest4. If nothing else, perhaps dont take the reservation

We had our daughters baby gender reveal luncheon there on a Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful day, the manager and staff were extremely helpful from booking to setup and throughout the day. Food was great and plentiful. So grateful! They helped to make our familys special occasion extra special and memorable! Thanks to the manager and staff for the excellent experience!

TL;DR - the staff lost my credit card. If you do visit, bring cash.Caesar beef salad was decent. The rooftop bar arrangement was far too hot and the music set too loud for comfortable conversation, though I imagine both of these might improve over time. (?)On my sole visit, the staff lost my credit card. After a few gaslighting hypotheticals (But we gave it back to you! Maybe one of your friends took it?) I had no choice but to call up the card issuer and cancel it on the spot.Recommendation: Dont bother. But if you do, bring cash.

It was cool if your looking to get lit BUT they automatically charge you 20% on anything you buy even if its ONE drink..I ordered one long island and paid $20 drink before I tipped not realizing I already tipped. Music was mixed and mediocre at best crowd was ok.. again its ok if its just something to do and you have money to throw away. I may go again but only if Im ready to spend a lot to get a buzz 🤷🏽Updated in response to the response:First of all it was my FIRST time coming there. What information would you like. I bought one long island and one Jamison and was charged $32 for two drinks I also tipped not realizing it was added already. The second time I went to the bar for one long island and I was charged 15+the 20% which I didnt realize and still tipped again paid a total of $20 for the second drink.Secondly, I didnt know this was unusual as it was my FIRST time coming there and I didnt come here to leave a bad review I just left an honest review of my personal experience in this establishment. It wasnt personal it was what I experienced and neither time was it an open tab, I paid at the time of purchase both times. Thanks for your response just the same.

Great local neighborhood bar. Spacious options both inside and outside and surprisingly good food. Theres pretty much always something on special, love their half price burger Monday. Always good service and a good time!

Stopped in for lunch as the place looked interesting from the street. The Fried Chicken Quesadilla was amazing! And the bartender Jamie was incredible! She was sooo much fun and was able to lay down the law when need be. The whole atmosphere was better thanks to her!

Good sports bar and music place !! The drinks are made strong and pretty decently. Had their spicy margaritas and Moscow mule !! Pretty good !The food is good too ! Would recommend the sweet potatoes fires and the crab dip !

A very good local watering hole/sports bar. Excellent service, a great burger (especially on half price burger night), low key ambiance. Only downside is the fairly basic beer men, but still some key brews. A good place to stop in, have a decent bite, and chill.

The rooftop and patio are a really fun place to hang out. The waitstaff are patient and willing to serve a large group. Overall a very fun place to be.

Went in with my husband on Saturday. Food was delicious, honestly some of the best food in the area and everyone was enjoying the good music. 10/10 would recommend

Excellent!The crab cake Sandwich was delicious! My friends and I, sat outside at the upstairs bar. The staff is amazing, fast, friendly, and professional.We had no wait, and were able to get the table we wanted. The food and drinks all.arrived pretty fast, and all the waiters work together to get the food out to you quickly.We all had an amazing time at Tommy Joes and will definitely be returning.

Tommy Joes never fails to disappoint. The service is always very friendly and the food is excellent. I love the burgers. I think they have a special on Thursdays that is very good, I think its half price burgers. For large parties they are very accommodating and have a variety of sectioned off spaces for people to gather. We have a mountain biking club of about 30 people that meet their monthly and theyre always very gracious in setting us up and making sure were being tended to.

Its a bar in Bethesda. One of the last great bars of Bethesda actually. Not much to it, it has fast service, good drinks, great staff.

Never talk to Missy at this bar. I talked to her for a long time during super bowl Sunday and I thought you liked me and she said she would go out with me. I called to confirm and she didnt even remember. Then I complained to Duffy the manager and he wouldnt even talk to me. The food was average but the ambulance was pretty good so Im not sure if Im ever going there again. Probably not

Rented the party room on New years Eve. My group is a 50 and older group. This place turned into a night club which is not allowed in Montgomery County ( i know for a fact ). The Manager and staff were very helpful and nice for myself and the group. But this is supposed to be a sports bar not a nightclub, yes its NYE but still . The Music was bad and WAY too loud. The party room is not meant for more than 30 people and next to the smoking deck. We could smell it in the room. I left before midnight because I was getting a migraine from the music. It was full of 20-30 somethings again acting like a nightclub. I could barely get out of the place when I left. Again the manager was great and did his job, but my group will not be returning . Very disappointed in the way that this very cool sports bar ended up being a club. And communication before hand was not very good either. This place is more for the younger crowds. IT was not like this the last time, I had a group there a few years ago.

A percent bar to just chill and watch a game by yourself or a group of friends. The music is pretty diverse(you can also play) and they have a daily special food and drinks. The bartenders are pretty attractive and friendly as well. Recommend!

Went to watch a World Cup. Match with USA playing. So the place was pretty packed. Service was slow, probably because they were short staffed. Food prices were reasonable. But my friend had some alcoholic beverage in a can and it was over $9.

Great place, I really like their wing specials and karoake on Wednesdays. The server Kylie I believe the spelling she is truly an incredible worker, she really cares and does a great job. I love their salmon entree its out of this world!

Music was decent..a bit more rock and roll than anything else but the DJ was receptive to song requests..will definitely be visiting again

Came here for an event. Waitresses were great! OMG Wings and Bleu Cheese were addictive! I must have had a dozen wings. Sliders and chicken kabob were a bit dry. Environment was definitely lively.

BEST EVENT VENUE!!! We hosted our 40th High School Reunion on the Rooftop!! Fantastic and festive. Joey was SO AWESOME to work with. So friendly, accommodating, staffed the bar for 125 so no one waited for drinks. A+ service!!! Thank you Tommy Joes.

I like this spot. The atmosphere is always cool. I really love the bar tenders there. Juan is awesome and keeps them coming. Duffy makes the most delicious strawberry margaritas ever.

Its been my go to place for years. My friends and I love it there. The food is incredible and fairly priced. The staff are always good at making their regulars and new comers feel welcome.

In reference to the spitting reviews.. the customers were way out of line. Food was 10000% never “spit on” lol. I was there for the whole thing. Service is great, as they do not let customer walk all over them. As those customers were kicked out, the whole bar cheered. 10/10 would go back!

We always come here when we fly into town from Florida to make our appointments at NIH. This visit was not the best. We always go to roof top bar because the atmosphere is usually great. Yes I do smoke another reason why we go to the roof top. So this time. We sit at the bar and bartender say to me you can’t smoke here . You have to go to the table . I ask is their a reason he said yes. It gives me a headache and I don’t like it . Hmm their are things I don’t like but I deal with the. Not very happy with his personality and service.

We love going to Tommy Joes every weekend. The have the best margaritas and everything is very affordable! Also we love seeing some fellow latinos serving there.

Great environment, friendly staff, happy hour prices could use some help (as they are not all that happy!)11-19-23Went on Sunday to watch an NFL game. They had food specials and drink specials. Only problem was that the beer specials were either a PITCHER of beer or a bucket of beer! I was by myself and only wanted one beer! I ordered a miller light draft and was charged $8! I paid, drank it and left!I then went to Rock Bottom. I ordered a miller light and paid $4! Not only did I have 3 beers, I also bought nachos and a meal!Tommy Joes, you need a new manager! You get the customers in with cheap drink prices, they drink a few, and then you over charge them with food prices!Business 101!

Everything is good, they just get super busy some times. My wifes favorite place, especially when they have latin dance times. I love Tommy Joes! she says repeatedly, especially when drinking.

Spacious location and the service is always great when Jamie takes care of us! Shes friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and always takes care of drink refills when needed. Just wished they had a brunch menu on the weekends.

Not very welcoming and got the vibe of catering to certain races. Walked in after a white guy and was greeted very differently with a more scold demeanor. Giving very racists.

First time here and LOVE IT ! Awesome service and friendly smiles from the entire staff. Special shout-out to Alex , Chris and Juan . The crab dip was amazing , seasoned perfectly and the house made chips was a nice pair. Steak tacos were impeccable , the jalapeño aioli added a great flair. Also they have a DJ Friday’s and Saturdays. I will definitely be back. Excited to try other menu items.

I ordered a margarita. I specifically said I do not want sweet. When I received it, it was sweet. I’m explaining to the bartender it was still sweet which was a challenge for him to understand.I tell him I’ll take a Stella instead. He takes the drink, pours half in another container and served it to me and said try it now. I said I do not want it I’ll take a Stella. This @!?$& insisted I take the drink. I’m like dude I want a Stella. You cannot make this $#!+ up. He proceeds to tell me I need to check with my manager. I said yeah go get him. I got my Stella and he the bartender with black hair and nerdy looking got a bad review. I’ll definitely go back but he will not serve me again. The nerve of him.

Honestly the vibe, room, and music is pretty solid, drink prices are fair. Only issue is lack of staff. Very hard to get drinks in a timely manner cause there isnt enough staff to keep up. Also they forget your order most of the time. Order small to get quick and accurate service. Or hire more people.

We just had the best dinner tonight at Tommy Joes. Big portions and great staff. The Steak & Cheese is my favorite. While it was just nice to be out of the house, the good food and atmosphere made it extra special. Order the Cheap Sunglasses!

This was my first time trying it out on open kitchen time. Had a date. Had to ask to be served after 15mins. Had to ask to order after another 15mins. My date only got wine and was not comfortable with the experience. Food was okay. Had to get up and ask for the check. Service was below any Ive had(due to short staff). Still a great place for night life after 10pm.

Went to Tommy’s last weekend for the first time and it was so fun. The bartender noticed us right away and asked what we wanted. He said we had to be seated in order to be served. It was packed but the bartender left the bar to find us a table. He then brought our drinks over but someone else had already checked in on us too! They were very attentive and friendly. This reminds me of one of my college town bars and I couldn’t be happier to have found it here in my new Bethesda home.

The TJs Famous Burger was a really damn good burger! It turned my laugh lines into stretch marks! The staff are on point too! Next time I come to the East Coast, this is on my must stop list

It is your average bar with below average food. I tried their wings and the best part was the BBQ sauce - the wings themselves were way overdone. The beer was good as expected - I had a Stella. The service was slow and relaxed but that kept me from spending too much on the beer.so that was the good part. Main issue for me was the pretty loud music for the 2 people sitting at the bar, even though the only 3 other patrons in that place were sitting on the complete opposite end of the establishment trying to watch the game on a TV that was on mute. Sports bar??? Not really!

Casual spot with a rooftop bar area! My friends and I came here yesterday afternoon. Luckily there was a table available for us, since there were a good amount of people already there. Tables were far apart from one another and all staff wore masks!It took over 20 mins before a server came over to our table, terrible! I saw the servers attending to other tables and did not even look in our direction when we tried flagging their attention.Food was okay, we ordered the chicken Caesar salad, tater tots and crab bites. The drinks are generous with a good amount of liquor. There was a happy hour special for $5 rail drinks!

Great multi-level bar. Varied atmosphere from level to level. Wonderfully diverse crowd and all around solid vibe. They could invest in some hard acrylic glassware to replace the plastic they use, but otherwise it’s an awesome Bethesda staple.

Ordered 12 wings , comes 11, after in joke we realized, we asked them to bring one more , 30 mim later comes one more, we asked server to eat it because the may spot on it, they declined , they will spit on your food, watch it!!!

Tommy Joes is one of the best bars in Bethesda. The day staff are consistent and nice and so are the night staff. Although its a pretty big bar with tons of space, it has a rooftop bar, and hosts tons of people but still has the local feel to it. They also open up the floor to dance on the weekends with pretty good music. The wings and crab cakes are solid.

Dont go on open mike night. No real talent, just noise.Crab dip is excellent.Service was great.Casual and good.

Taco Tuesday need I say more, YUMMM. Good bar menu, great beer and drinks selection. I love the outdoor rooftop bar area and most of all fully wheel chair accessable. Pleasant staff, slow casual place just to relax, enjoy and unwind.

Went on a Tuesday evening during trivia and they were out of most beer, draft and bottled. Ordered the steak salad and it was truly awful. The steak was clearly dat old over cooked and none of the other ingredients redeemed it. No one else at the table was happy with their food either. And although it was peak dinner time, they werent busy and the service was still terrible. Wouldnt return or recommend. Not sure why their rating is so high.

Great for entertainment and if you want to watch a game. A ton of TVs and fun atmosphere. 4 stars because I am gluten free because of celiac disease and none of their menu options are or can be gluten free. However, based on review of friends, great bar food (that’s all they have had to eat).

Wonderful place for music and gathering

A terrific place to hang with friends and watch the games. If youre hungry, theres some decent bar food, nothing to write home about. Service can be hit or miss, depending on how busy they are. Ive definitely had some fun nights here.

Tommy Joe’s has really gone downhill in terms of its clientele. The food is good-sized portions of decent bar food but I’ve been three times with my husband, another time with friends, and a third with colleagues and each time there is a girl there dancing near the dining tables and filming on her phone. She has been there each time I have been! I made eye contact with one of the servers and expressed frustration but nothing was done. I’d like to have a meal without being subjected to being filmed by a drunk stranger. Or having the strange girl dance inches from my table. ALL WITHOUT A MASK. Forget social distancing! They allow such a menace. No thanks. There are too many other places in the area to go.

I rarely leave reviews, but was disappointed by the communication from the establishment. Unfortunately I made plans to attend Tommy Joe’s for dinner with a colleague of mine. I called to confirm that the restaurant was open to under-21s (as my friend is 19), and was told there would be no problems. However, when we arrived we were turned away at the door, and our dinner was scuttled. Please have clear and consistent policies when you communicate with customers.

Rude bartender. Extremely expensive drinks, mohito was awful and didn’t taste like a mohito. However, mohito cost $17 (including compulsory 20% tip) and the bartender put a tiny bit of alcohol, like the whole drink just tasted like a club soda. Not sure how they stay in business, do not go.

Its a pretty happening spot. Younger crowd but there was a mix of younger and older there. If you dont want a quieter place and looking for upbeat/dance or just a good view of the city its a good spot. The entire wall is one big wondow feom the second floor. Then a rooftop bar. I liked it. Its all up to your preference. YOLO why not try it.

Absolutely disgusted with the service at Tommy Joe’s. I came here on a Thursday evening and I ordered mojitos and was told by one of the bartenders (Juan) that they weren’t serving them. Juan was rude about the whole thing and it was totally unprofessional. To top it all off, I had ordered the Thursday sliders, and to my dissatisfaction the bread was very moldy which was so nasty. I will be telling my colleagues about this place. Do not waste your money at Tommy Joe’s trust me it’s not worth it , the food was not good and the bartenders are rude especially Juan.

Deliciously flavorful food!! Tostadas, burgers, tacos, crab cakes, salads are all so good! And if you are a sports fan you will enjoy that atmosphere along with roof top decks seating areas. I love the food and value.

I’ve been popping in for the past couple weeks on weekend nights and it’s horrible. Doesn’t seem like they get any business. What I’ve come to realize is it’s the DJ. THE MUSIC REALLY SUCKSGreat food and drinks btw, cool staff.

Reasonable food and convenient location. Available for private events and they can provide catering as well. Typical bar environment. There is a wide variety of great food within a few blocks and plenty of other bars and pubs in the area for those who prefer to move around from place to place throughout the evening.

This place used to be awesome, had an awesome rooftop with very convenient location, but unfortunately the quality has gone down. I do believe is an exceptional happy hour place, and if your company is near by, they are very acvomodating. With the exception of few workers that have stuck through the times, most employees dont satisfy the quality of service it once described tommy joes. It used to be a fun place to go out during the weekends too but now I barely enjoy it

The food is actually really good!! I wasnt expecting this place to have much of a vegetarian menu but I ordered the mushroom wrap. Absolutely refreshing and delightful.

I went out with friends on Saturday night, I dont drink but they have games on and other sporting events also the atmosphere is pleasant. Only one thing is they have a dancefloor so I try to enjoy myself but the DJ is TERRIBLE he plays gangster music or music no one can dance to and people leave because of this. I repeat he is absolutely Terrible!!!

Came out on a friday night, first time here, had a startling experience, not in a good way. Terrible customer service. I will not come back and Ill spread word. One of the bartenders, Grant, also was in charge I assume, it was slow, not busy, I called for him 3 times, finally on the fourth I said hey you on your phone then he looked up. All I wanted was a side of mayo. He didnt bother to apologize, had an attitude about it and took his sweet time, did other orders first, before tasking someone else to grab it. Being on your phone on the clock period is disrespectful work ethic. Also eating behind the bar, thats disgusting. Im pretty sure also a health code violation. I am disappointed.

Pretty happy with the app selection and happy hour prices. I really liked the shrimp tacos and the pretzel bites. A decent selection of local beers and our bar tenders did a good job of keeping up.

I was dragged to this sport bar looking place by my girlfriend. Nice spacious place, every personnel member I have interacted with were nice and friendly. Drink prices are decent. But my absolute 10 Star rating out 5 goes to DJs at Tommy Joes!!!! Outstanding mix of music, very intuitive and interactive. It was my third time at Tommy Joes as always had a lot of fun!

Its a shame when a business is bullied for protecting its clientele from COVID. I eat here often. I have seen this obnoxious patron Tracey repeatedly asked to put her mask on when walking through the restaurant. Today, we heard her telling her livestream audience (yes, she was secretly livestreaming) to leave bad reviews for this restaurant, just because they told her to WEAR A MASK AND FOLLOW THE RULES. Oh, horror! Well, here are the vindictive reviews that have nothing to do with the food or service. I can say I love Tommy Joes, its staff (especially bartender, Juan), and appreciate not having to dodge a mask-less, unkempt, loud, drunken patron weaving her way to the bathroom. If you do come for a meal, their Chicken Buffalo Wrap is bomb, and we usually get the Crab Bites. Great margaritas when the roof is open. I highly recommend coming some lazy weekend afternoon and enjoying.

Late night attendance and all was merry and pleasant. Drinks were served quickly, and were strong. Alot of young people mixing with alot of people over 45. I am 50, but I never felt out of place. Drinks kept flowing and people kept dancing until security closed the place

My son took me to get something to eat. The hospitality friendliness and professionalism of the staff would make you want to come back everyday food was great company was great

Good place for Taco Tuesday. Have never been for the night crowd, but the food is decent for lunch. Seared ahi tuna was way too done, but shrimp, steak, and chicken tacos are all good. Fries are like Chickfila and Arbys fries had a love child that ended up as Tommy Joes delicious fries.

Came here for Happy Hour with some coworkers and I had a good time. Music selection was wack but the food and drinks were good. The bartenders were friendly and we enjoyed interacting with all of them. Fun bunch.

Whoever is in charge of this location needs to train their bouncers better. After reading multiple reviews, it appears that many customers have had the SAME EXACT ISSUE with an incompetent bouncer deeming their ID is fake, for whatever reason. Here is a copy of my review I have posted on Facebook, Yelp, and Google Maps.Terrible experience. As soon as we got here, the absurdly rude bouncer deemed one of our out of state group group members IDs as fake. The only way to get it back is to wait for law enforcement to come verify that is in fact not a fake, after which we will be promptly leaving. Had the bouncer offered to communicate with the cops or even the bartender offered any form of non-alcoholic beverages, perhaps this would be a 2-rating. But the bouncer was incredibly rude throughout the entire process and obviously does not care anything about customer service as when we told him as soon as we get the ID back we were leaving as we dont appreciate this treatment and his response was, Im sorry you feel that way. I would hate to see how any other employees treats their customers here.We ended up waiting over an hour for the police to come, only to verify what we already knew: the ID was not fake. What an absurd waste of time and a pleasant evening. Will not be returning ever. Too bad, Tommy Joes lost out on $200+ business last night.TL,DR: Bouncer not only incompetent, but incredibly rude. Deemed legal out of state ID fake, wasted my groups time and the cops time. Friends ID is now ruined because of the bouncers incompetence.

Poor service and demeanor from the bar staff lead to a subpar experience. When a female within our party asked if they had mimosas (it was 11:30 a.m) the bartender responded that this was a bar and that they didnt serve girly drinks. The food was not much better than the service; I would not come back again.

Bartender overcharged me when I asked him to split by bill with my friend so we could pay separate. He took 10 min to take my credit card that was on top of my receipt at the bar. I would not recommend unless you want bad service.

Asked for Extra Crispy wings, got them almost undercooked. Waffle fries were soaking wet from something and cold. Pretzel with the crab dip was chewy and tough, nd crab dip smelled bad and tasted the same.Pork sandwich was not bad, sweet and the coleslaw was okay. Nothing bad to say about it just flavor wise wasnt my thing, but still good.Chicken wrap was okay also. Nothing spectacular.Wont be eating there again.

They deserve a star because the rooftop is awesome and the price is great but TBH the quality of food, service, and environment is terrible. Love love love the rooftop tho-one of the few in bethesda and its actually nice. Just dont expect a lot from it other than that.

This is the new location. Before it was a bunch of underaged teenagers trying to have some fun. Now its actually a 21+ crowd that doesnt know how to dance, sing, or have a good time without getting nasty. I dont mind some grinding or twerking here and there, but is that all people have to offer nowadays? If so its pretty pathetic and Tommy Joes definitely attracts that crowd. If thats what youre looking for all you. If you are just looking for somewhere to drink, dance, and have a good time then Id suggest you try someplace else

Ignore all the reviews about tracey being banned. The manager told her she needed to wear her mask if she wasnt eating or drinking and she couldnt be putting it on the internet about being there and not wearing her mask. He was friendly about it and did not make a scene. This customer is there alot with different dates and she videos everything and she makes a scene everytime.And this incident with the staff was recorded live by tracey and the staff was nice about what they said. They have every right to refuse service to someone.And the server had the right to tell her she did not want to be recorded.

We had an issue entering with an international state-issued ID, but were able to rectify the situation (apparently if you you arent a US citizen and want to drink in MoCo - bring your passport!). Management was very apologetic afterwards and smoothed things over so we could enjoy our night.

Good place for Tuesday night open Mic night. Not much of a crowd, but the wings are good and decent beer selection.

Tommy Joes has some decent food if you go during normal hours but its really made during the night scene. Drinks arent too over priced and the DJ is pretty solid. But not much beats it in Bethesda honestly.

I didnt eat there, just went Saturday night and between the band and the DJ, we had a great time. First time there and we will definitely be back

Tracey Armah, better known by her alias Tracey Barbie, live streamed herself at this restaurant (without a mask) and was told to put her mask on in the building. She left, then sent her naive followers to call and harass this establishment and sought to ruin their reputation.A simple Google search of Tracey Barbie will reveal quite a bit about her character.She has a nasty reputation of posting peoples private information (usually the cell numbers of her dates who dont want to continue with a second date) and slandering businesses when she is required to follow the rules of the business.The recent one star reviews are from people who watch her livestream and blindly follow her. Tracey Barbie told her followers to call and harass Tommy Joes because they yelled at her and kicked her out. Which was false.Apparently, she believes she is invincible and the law will never catch up to her.As for the business, it is always good to find businesses who work to protect their patrons and provide good service. Keep up the good work!

Extremely rude at the door, my twin and I were on a family trip, and we were told our state ID’s were fake. Waited for about ten minutes for the man to get a book and put it in our faces saying this is what a real New Jersey ID looks like, couldn’t even SCAN the ID’s because they didn’t have a scanner. Ended up having to call the cops who said that they would not come out to help us trying to get our ID’s back. Understood that people have to do their jobs, but ridiculous that a real ID won’t get you in here, or even treated with respect.

Very nice outdoor deck to sit outside on. Plenty of screens for sports (though some looked to be in the process of being replaced). Good apps to snack on as well

Love coming to Tommy Joe’s. Super laid back environment, good people, lots of fun sports folks, great setting (lots of light during the day), outdoor space, and right downtown.

Piss poor service. Waited 20 minutes for our check. As we waited on our server to return with our bill, we saw him easily distracted as he ripped shots behind the bar. Food was good though.

Guy at the door was rude. The bartender was not much better acting like he hated his job which he probably does. Beer wasnt right tasted old maybe. Moved to a table the waitress was ok but took forever with eveything. not coming back here again.

The place is very nice to hang out with friends, nice music, good ambient, friendly people. Restrooms are clean.

So went last night they have karaoke which I love the list of songs where updated. Food was good got myself some wings all in all had a good time only reason I dont give 5 stars was the staff 2 bartenders who spent most of the time talking to themselves was hard to get there attention otherwise a great night

Matt and damon are awesome! They asked me my name and after that they treated me like family. They engaged in conversation, made sure I had what I needed and joked with me. Love this place!!

I was there on Saturday, the bartender charged me for an extra Long Island and I tried to explain to him. I didn’t order it but he kept yelling over me and arguing. It was the bartender with the tattoos.

Wonderful bethesda nightlife. Open late, always a good crowd. Open air rooftop bar allows smoking and a friendly atmosphere.

Its a really cool bar to go to with friends if you wanna watch a game on the weekends or if your trying to dance they have a DJ on deck. Also, the quesadilla there SLAPS.

The menu does not specify that they use peanuts in some products. Of course telling the waiter is important, but the menu should notify as well.

Rooftop bar is nice on the right day but not sure I would want to be there when it was busy due to the small elevator of narrow stairs for access.

As close to a homey dive bar as you get in Bethesda. Drinks are fairly priced. The rooftop is awesome.

Pay cash as you go. Do NOT run a tab. They will pad it and charge you for drinks you never had. Bartenders suck. Food is ok. Pay as you go only otherwise you will be overcharged.

I checked my account balance and found an extra charge of 59$ when I already was charged 29$ for the two drinks I had the bartender made some fraud on my card its ridiculous and very disappointing I have to dispute this charge very disgraceful

Mixture of early to mid 20s with a sprinkle of creepy, old Bethesda men. Some of the bar staff is obviously on pain killers/drugs of some sort, and it shows.

Always a good spot for rooftop life, very chill and not over the top.
