Loved the Bloomington location! My bestie and I got massages from Tim and they were fantastic! I like the deep tissue massages, and Tim delivered! The receptionists were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I plan to return to this location.
The over all experience is very relaxing. I have enjoyed a cleansing facial twice. The results are not amazing but the staff and the relaxing environment makes it worth going.
I came in with a friend back in April for the first time. As we left the lady at the desk Margret talked me into a 6 month membership. I was very hesitant at first then she said if I signed up that day for the 6 months I could bring my husband the next time for free. (I had a witness to this)Today we went in for our appointment I scheduled. As we was leaving the same lady who signed me up stopped me as we was leaving saying I owed $70 for my husband. I told her that is not what she told me when I signed up for the 6 months.Once my 6 months is up I will not be back .Lie to get people to sign up. I will pass the word for sure to stay away from this place.
I’m not sure how this place has gotten negative reviews recently.Arrival instructions via text were clear and timely! Upon entering, the two girls at the front were warm and welcoming. Megan helped me get checked in and was super helpful with explaining the process at Massage Envy.My massage was with Israel, and he was absolutely delightful. The entire process was safe, friendly, and extraordinarily well-communicated; he also is a master at pressure massages.Overall, amazing from start to finish. Will definitely be getting a membership!
I’m a customer of massage envy for more than a year already and i’m really happy with Lori the massage therapist, who I have given more than 5 stars . But recently I called to book for a massage and everytime I have called everyone is so nice and accommodating. They are always willing to help but just today december 7 I called to book and I spoke to APRIL and I found her rude and curt over the phone . Its natural for a customer to ask for scheduling assistance. I didn’t like the way she dealt with me. As if I were out of line in trying to find availability for my prefered therapist. She was so rude, if thats the attitude of the person that works in that place that would deter the customer from wanting to use Massage Envy. I have never had any problems in the past, everyone there is so nice its just her APRIL .
I would give that place 5 star yet my last experience with facial/skincare wasn’t good. I do better skin care at home. It wouldn’t worth for paying it. Yet, my experience with full body massage is usually satisfactory. I used to have membership and they are helpful to address my needs ( I mean full-body massage). In terms of full body massage they have several massage therapists but for facial they don’t have much options.
The first thing you experience is the front desk staff, and they are always so incredibly nice and welcoming and just have a really positive energy when you talk to them, which I appreciate.Their manager is also very nice and welcoming , her and the front desk team know their staff very well which is helpful when you need some special or extra care. The massage was AMAZING. I have a lot of joint and muscle pain on a daily basis and I have a busy and active life style to keep up with. For the hour I was there I felt stress free for the first time in over a year. My massage therapist was very calming and , easy to open up to (which I feel is important when it comes to seeing someone regularly for massage) I’m very thankful I’ve found someone that can instantly make me feel relaxed and safe. As soon as I can I will for sure be back and hopefully with Melissa 🥰
I visited this location with hopes it would be a nice relaxing time. The person working the desk was wonderful, and she was about the only good experience at the store. I had two services done. The facial was okay, just a little underwhelming. I figured it would be more than just massaging 20 different products into my skin, but it was fine. The worst part of my experience was the massage. I was asked repeatedly if I had focus areas. I informed the desk, put it in the iPad, and informed my masseuse... and I just sat there waiting for her to get to those points, she maybe went over them a couple passes. My target areas were never really worked on or minimized in any way. I nearly began crying after the massage realizing I had just wasted my time and money. The entire massage just felt very unenthusiastic and like I was just getting the very last of the persons energy. I was barely touched, and left with my target areas being more sore than when I came in. I still have a very generous tip, because I myself am in the service industry, but am super upset I wasted my time and money here. I rarely spend extra money on myself or do things like this, so the fact I practically threw money away is saddening.
Massage Envy corporate needs to fix the way they ask clients to rate their services. I had a massage in Bloomington, IL, and they emailed me a link to rate them, which I did. Except it posted to the Bloomington, IN location. Lol. Corporate marketing needs to get on this! Or stop soliciting reviews.
Kendra does an excellent job with massages. She has a specific technique that is relaxing. I look forward to my sessions with her.
I had a 90 minute massage with Trace last evening. Trace has been a massage therapist for the last 15 years and his level of experience comes through when he gives bodywork. He was able to read my body very well. I can not recommend him enough. He is amazing!
Skye has helped me find a way to correct with my various skin issues, without only relying on prescriptions. By following the program he designed for me I have noticeable improvement and have less flare up when my daily stuff is complete.
The contact is very clear and upfront. Read before you sign so you can’t say later you were not aware. The front desk is polite and eager to assist. If they do not know an answer they ask someone else. If not, all you need do is ask. Ryan J. is absolutely the best. He listens and applies his skill to your issues. He knows about backs and how to help. I had to move, butI would recommend him highly.
Disappointed that they refuse to cancel my account regardless of financial hardship and an uprooted life situation. Times are tough and understanding is much needed, but unfortunately not given. I’ve never worked with a business so unwilling to work with me and was never told there’s no option to get out of this “contract”. As a former 12-year business-owner myself, I can’t imagine giving my clients such poor customer service. I would not recommend Massage Envy. For a business who touts relaxation, they have caused a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress for me.
I have been to Massage Envy several times but my most recent visit was a nightmare. The therapist was abusive, ordering me to breathe, not letting me relax at all. She jerked my body around as if she were angry at me. It was traumatizing. Ive been getting massages for 27yrs and never in my life have I felt so humiliated. When she left the room, she virtually did a Bye Felicia! Horrible, horrible place. You should avoid WitchHazel at all costs!
I brought one of my daughters here for her first massage. She is not comfortable with her body but had a lot of stress and back pain, and the people at the front desk and her therapist made her feel so comfortable and relaxed that she left feeling wonderful and cant wait to go back.
I left extremely pleased with this business today. I have never had a facial before, and this place made it a wonderful first experience. They were all super polite, informing, and just overall welcoming. I will definitely be back : )
Helen was an excellent masseuse!! Considerate, aware and skilled. Paige at the desk was friendly and helpful! Will be back to see her for a facial!! The membership is an incredible deal! I signed up and will be there twice a month for sure!!! Thank you to this place for existing!! I needed this in my life! 🤗
Disappointed at this location.Out of Towner and was gifting a birthday massage while in town for my friend and I.4 days before the appointment I was told one of the therapist broke his wrist and she moved the time so we could both still get a massage. On the day of 30 minutes prior to the appointment the woman let me know they could only do 1 massage. There was no resolution to solve this for my situation.
Will not be returning. My husband entered into an agreement with them and apparently misunderstood how the agreement worked (According to massage envy). Under initial term it states the initial term is from date 12/22/18 - 1/21/19. He called to ask how to cancel it on 1/10/19 and they told him over the phone he had to wait until the initial term was over and then submit it in writing. NBD, they took their money and he sent an email stating he would like to cancel. Yet they still continue to take the money? He called and asked about this and they told him all contracts are 12 months. Obviously we didnt know this given the agreement states the initial term ends on 1/21/19 and is stated to continue monthly until he cancels. We did what they asked of us. If it was a 12 month contract, they didnt do a very good job of expressing that. That is super sketchy. Massage Envy- when he emailed stating to cancel his account, why did you not reach out at that point? Super sketchy. At the same time, is this $65 a month SO important to you that you are willing to push back THAT much even knowing we will no longer step foot there? As a company, is it really that important to you? You need to reevaluate yourselves. Very sketchy. Aside from that, during the face massage the lady kept insisting he take his shirt off. He told her multiple times he doesnt want to do that. She said well part of the massage is the neck and shoulders and he told her again he was uncomfortable and didnt want to do that, he thought face meant face. At the end of the day, you arent losing any money over the fact that you cant rub his shoshould. He paid the same price regardless. That is what led to us wanting to cancel in the first place . You should want to take care of your customers, not make them uncomfortable and take their money. We will not be returning.
Was misled when signing up for the contact and assured it was auto draft but free to cancel. Should have known better when they rushed through signing and didnt allow me to read the fine print. After paying for the full year, I attempted to cancel and was told the contract was valid another 4 months. They only backed down after I requested a copy of the contract on file and had my bank statements showing dates. Still out an additional 2 months because of their lies.
Books my appointment online, Apparently it never confirmed or booked into the computer. (Apparently A common occurrence according to the front desk young lady. ) Jan 8, 7pm.Which Brings me to, The front desk gal was alarmingly rude. She was short and heartless in her demeanour and responses.2nd, The fact that I have to put my credit card information in just a book an appointment, I find concerning and quite inappropriate. If I did not have a gift card. I would never return.
We had massages in resorts abroad and in spas locally. Coming here was a big disapointment to my wife and her mom. She took her as gift . Waste of time and money. Not relaxing at all. The room felt like the size of a bathroom then feels like a factory not warm or welcoming or soothing. they actually walked out with headaches.
You can schedule online and list preferences. I didnt give 5 stars because its not a true 60 min massage and I have mentioned several times inwould like attention to my hands being a hygienist but they dont do anything more than they normally would. Overall great place, very clean!
Jennifer was great. Really worked out some knots and I felt so much better afterwards.
All the masseuses here are amazing and have excellent experience that can help you achieve different pressures and the add-ons are excellent. I will definitely be returning!
GREAT PLACE!! EVERYONE WAS SO NICE AND KIND. APRIL CANNON AT THE FRONT DESK ROCKS!!!! SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND MAKES YOU FEEL SPECIAL THAT YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY THAT YOU CHOSE MASSAGE ENVY.
Pauline is the best I’ve ever had. She really knows her stuff!!
Great overall massage experience. Helen did a wonderful job. Highly recommended!
They really dont deserve a review when people come to your place of business & expect to be taking good care of & the people treat u bad bc they refuse to do there jobs & the owner do not wish to address the issue we have a serious problem I guess we should call the attorney general about this business or maybe its certain people they work on .
Brian is great. He is very talented and polite.
Do not recommend, the treatment is ok nothing special for the price they take, after the treatment you come out and they make you feel bad for not buying more products or booking another appointment with them.
I love this Massage Envy and have had many pleasant experiences with different Massage Therapists and Estis!
Fair pricing, they discount your first visit and do a great job working on your problem areas.
Kendra is a superior massage therapist.
Had a great experience with deep tissue sports massage with Israel.
Since I have back problems this is the best place to go to get massages to get the knots out
I like it you only need to get the right masseuse and sometimes thats tricky.
Fair priced and very nice people definitely worth it
Kendra is awesome !
Scott was fantastic!
