I was a member for a while and had good massage therapist. The issue came when they sold the franchise unbeknownst to us. We went up North never knowing the new owner would not be taking our stored up credits for massages. I think a year had gone by maybe more and you loose them. I had 7 massages stored and paid for. Never knew this could happen. Booking during season was next to impossible with my therapist and I could not book out because of my Job. Very disappointing. I am not interested in a membership anywhere and prefer to get massages when I can and my availability. Buyer Beware (Caveat Emptor) If they change hands and you do not use on a regular basis, then your massage credits get taken away.
I made an appointment for a facial on 8/1/24. I show up on time for my facial appointment at 2:00pm on 8/3/24 This was going to be my first time to MassageLuXe Spa the person scheduled to give me a facial left before I arrived. They called her she wouldnt come back said she had plans so unprofessional. They asked my if I wanted to reschedule absolutely not. This was extremely disappointing. Why would I want to reschedule with this person to have my time wasted again. I planned my day around this appointment.
Two days ago I discovered the massage log has been charging my credit card without my authorization after having canceled my account months ago. The only reason I found out about this for a credit card I don’t use, is because one of the front desk people called me to say that I had six hours on my account.When I called the Lakewood Ranch location the gentleman that picked up the phone remembered me and said oh I remember canceling your account I don’t know what happened. He refunded one and said the owner would call me the next day with urgency to discuss potentially cutting me a check for the hundreds of dollars they owe me.I did not receive a phone call yesterday nor did I receive a phone call today.When I called the location directly throughout the day nobody answered the phone and I left a voicemail that has been ignored.I came to this location to ease stress from my life because my husband is dying of AML Leukemia and I have two small children and work 40 hours a week. This is the second time this location has added more stress to my life. I canceled my membership because finances were tough so the find out they’ve been fraudulently using my credit card for an account I canceled is pretty frustrating.
New management? Lack of Training? The nice person at the front desk seemed confused and unsure of how to proceed with adding a tip to my bill, so I left cash instead of waiting another 5-10 minutes. Massage therapist seemed to be in a hurry and the massage was underwhelming. :( It pains me to leave negative reviews, but there currently seems to be an issue with this location.
First time ever getting a professional massage for a gift for my birthday wow I went in with a lot of pain and came out having no pain Im so happy to be pain free. My massage therapist was so good with his hands. I will definitely be returning!
Always a friendly greeting, especially from Tim at the front desk. Massage therapists very caring and listen to what you need. I always feel better after I leave but today is even better! I can actually turn my head more than I have been able to in a long time thanks to Brian!
NEVER sign up for this massage club. You will pay and pay and not get to use all your massages. I was told while I was traveling that I could put my account on hold and save my massages until I was back I town. That still costs $5 month. The card on file had expired and they didn’t contact me for two months and now say to use my 12.5 hours of accumulated time I will have to pay two months and THEN I can start using the time. When O asked about the employee who was supposed to put my file on hold, I was told “Lily” no longer works there. Katrina the manager didn’t seem to care at all and made me feel like it was my fault. I feel so strongly about this that I canceled my account which forfeits ALL my time. First EVER 1 Star Review

Ive been coming off and on for about 7 months now. It started with a gift card I received from my brother in law for my birthday. I signed up for the membership and it has honestly been the best thing Ive ever done for myself. The first few times I had Carol. She was knowledgeable, but not the therapist for me. I had Trina next. I absolutely loved her. She is no longer there unfortunately. I cancelled an appointment due to a medical emergency and didnt return for 2 months. Today was my first appointment back, and I booked a 1 1/2 hour with Robert. He is the absolute best massage therapist who has ever touched my body. He asked me what I was looking for and gave me exactly what I needed. He asked how the pressure was, paid extra attention to my lower back, neck and shoulders which are my problem areas, and gave me suggestions on keeping it stretched so the pain doesnt come back as strong. He has great bedside manners and was just all around super attentive. I booked him again for my next massage, and as long as he is there, I will always book with him! Thank you Robert for sending me home feeling refreshed and nearly pain free. Cant wait till my next appointment!
Emily the skincare specialist is AMAZING! Every time I see her I feel like Ive spent the day with my best friend. She always makes me feel so relaxed and love her services.On the other hand, the front desk staff is severely lacking. I have been beyond frustrated with them on more than one occasion. If it wasnt for how good of services I received from Emily and some of the other massage therapists I wouldve canceled my membership a long time ago. Please invest more in your front staff or you will lose more customers. Its not about booking as many appointments as possible. Its about making the customer happy and comfortable... Ultimately wanting to come back.
The worst. Morgan did my facial. I rarely spend money on myself for self care but my pores were so overburdened I went in. She seems sweet but she needs so much more training. I told her I wanted her to focus on extraction to clean out my pores. She identified all the clogged pores but literally extracted 3 and none of those were my problem areas. She continuously slammed the chair into the table I was on, rattling me each time. She sat on my hair about 5 times and pulled out many pieces. It was not relaxing; it was as if she was racing someone to wash my face the fastest. I literally paid $60 for someone to wash my face. When I left, all cabinet doors were wide open and things were ALL over the room. I also basically shared her lunch that was loaded with garlic. I know we are face to face, but maybe a mint or gum. I literally could not wait for it to end.
If I could give this business a 0 I would! I called and made an appointment. It took Devin 6 tries to get my credit card number. I had to get her to write it down on paper first.Then I show up to my appointment and they said sad news - you don’t have an appointment. Apparently Devin canceled someone else’s to give me mine and they showed up first because it shouldn’t have been canceled and they got the slot. For me it wasn’t just a massage. I hurt my back and have been on pain and wanted to just relax and feel better. I left there in tears. Supposedly the owner will call me - Sabrina but she only goes into the business once a month. Wow!
I saw John for my 1st appointment today. I came knowing going in that this would be a 1 time only situation as it is such a long drive from my house but very quickly realized he was well worth the drive. I gave a very bad spine and live with chronic pain therefore Ive seen many many specialists and i can honestly say never once has anyone worked as thoroughly on my neck and shoulders as this man did, not to mention his sweet bedside manor. Thank you so much John I feel fantastic and I will see you again soon!
Customer service was AMAZING!!! And the staff was so friendly! My facial was really nourishing and informative. I will definitely be back :) and they have a great first time special!
Ummm TERRIBLE. My husband booked a couples massage for our anniversary and they canceled it not once, but TWICE. And both times they called us about 20 minutes before, AFTER we already had babysitters come out to our home to watch our children. Go literally anywhere else.
Went last night to Jang and had a poor experience. Asked for deep tissue and was told no muscles were too night. Stranest massage Ive ever received. Left with a worse headache.Paid for aromatherapy but it was used one time and then put up. My neck was so greasy from oil when I left it was gross. Also there was hot stone used, was it sanitary I didnt ask for it and it didnt appear to belong to Luxe.Went to Laurie last time she was pleasant and did a good massage. I heard Heather is a very good masseuse but limited hours.
Although the massage was great, for the past 8 months they have been taking 48 bucks a month out. I got zero phone calls asking when I would like to come in. Nothing. Zilch. But when my card got hacked, you can best bet they called. They told me my membership is suspended and I cant use any of the 10 hours they owe me until I pay more money. No thanks. Never again.
They cancel appointments left and right. We schedule out 2 weeks in advance, we sometimes schedule for special occasions, but that day, they cancel. They cancel yet month after month on time the money comes out of my bank. Front desk never knows what is going on and there is never a manager on site. When speaking on the phone with the manager I now realize why the business is the way it is currently. The manager is very unprofessional. Would not recommend this site for a anything.
Great massage therapist!! We were on a girls trip and all 4 ladies enjoyed their massages. There was a minor snag when one of the message therapist scheduled for our group called in sick an hour before our appointment. Staff was able to rearrange the schedule to make it work!!
Emily is hands down the best of the best! Not only does she make you feel comfortable she very knowledgeable an helps you improve your skin tremendously! She gives the best facials and is so gentle when it comes to waxing! She revived my eye brows! Only person I trust with my skin!!
I’ve been looking for a masseuse and facialist that I actually want to go back to, and I finally found them! Lori has obviously been in the industry a long time and knows how to give a firm and relaxing massage. She spent a lot of time on my hands and feet which I love! Emily was very gentle on my face and gave an amazing shoulder and neck massage. She also gave me some wonderful suggestions on how to improve my skin at home. Highly recommend both ladies!
I have always has great service on therapists. I LOVE Emily for my facials and schedule out with her. I think t theres an amazing did the pandemic but beingraised about scheduling and Staffing is hard
Just started my membership but I have to give it 5 stars already because of John. Ask for him! I have had many massages over the years and he has to be the best! The place is very clean. My 2nd time here and I recommend it.
I showed up for my appointment and it was cancelled 2nd time this had happen I am pretty forgiving but twice. The manager did speak to me she was helpful. This place can not keep thrapist I get used to 1 after 3 sessions and they are gone. I have been to plenty other massage studios and this does not happen. I have 6 hours left on my plan time to look elsewhere. I would not recommend this place at all I have also posted at my college web page and facebook. Had an appointment set up for myself and my husband for a facial and massage I had a gift card that I received in an event and when I arrived I asked for it to be applied. The woman behind the counter went and got A, the regional manager. Who refused to accept/apply the girl card.-I asked why and his response was “it’s not coming up in our system. “ I ask for a solution as I received it from an event and knew it was valid. He didn’t have any advice that would help us with our appointment. I communicated that I was disappointed and that myself and my husband would be taking our business elsewhere over a one hour gift card.-Does he want to do that?His reply “ my answer is final.”-Being a business owner care, empathy, and problem solving is essential in a local town. Hope this warning and helps current consumers and future clients from feeling any unnecessary negative emotions.
Wasnt very satisfied with my massage over the weekend. Establishment is beautiful and very professional. All of the staff was friendly and personable. Unfortunately my therapist doesnt seem to read the intake forms. When the form asks of any specific body parts I dont want touched, and I put feet, and my feet are the first things touched when I get face down, I get a little irritated. I put medium pressure on the intake form and felt like the therapist was trying to push through my body. Actually left in a little bit more pain than I arrived with. Also did not receive the 15 mins hydro luxe that was included with my Groupon. Very unfortunate. Not returning and not recommending.

Got a Groupon voucher and while booking my appointment, I was asked for my credit card information, I said i paid already for groupon why do you need this info? Was told it’s like reserving a hotel😱Found that awkward so I asked to speak to the manager who said it’s ok I don’t need to give this info. After the massage they tried to lock me into some type of membership then I understood why my credit card info was being asked. Quite awkward! Beware! My massage was just ok hence the 2 stars.
Theyre running scams left and right. No couples massage. You cant use your hours on your significant or anyone, AND they charge you a transfer fee. The massages are supposed to be 1 hour and are always short. I never get the same massage therapist, and they dont use enough pressure. Im tired of giving this place 2nd chances. Im done. Theyre horrible.
I’ve been going to John for several weeks now for deep tissue. He has truly changed my shoulder and sciatica problems and every week I get better. Today I actually fell asleep on his table and drooled a little on the floor bc I was so relaxed at the end.
Emily for facials is AWESOME! However, Massage Luxe has poor business practices, lots of cancelling appointments, overall low quality services provided otherwise.

I have massage almost every month, this was a Groupon from my mother in law and I was very disappointed with how much time I was shorted, and how pushy they are about selling memberships. Massage itself was definitely 5 stars and the place was nice. Maybe worth a another shot.

I joined as a client on one of Massage LuXe packages. What a value!!!. The facial that I had today was the Bio-light facial by Replechage and my service was done by Pat. I am 54 years old. I do not have many wrinkles, yet my skin had such an uneven tone, blotchy, etc. I have had dozens of facials in my life...but I kid you not. I cant stop looking in the mirror! I really wish we would have done a before and after under bright light. Also to mention her skill in facial massage. I have also had a facial with Beth. She is awesome too!. Massage Luxe has a tremendous amount of turnover with their massage therapists. Additionally, they switch your appointments with specific therapists without notification until you arrive.. Not to mention, none of their therapists know how to give a true deep tissue massage.
I had been to several places in the area and left feeling I hadnt got my moneys worth. Luxe has been great, I have been going once a month for over a year and am always happy with the service. Good appointment times and friendly staff!
Becareful what hou sign. I was told i could use the promo for two months. After that, if I did not want to continue, there would be no further withdraws from my account. Lo and behold they have been taking money from my account since December. When I call they only will refund me the February charge!!! When i complained and told them I would post a negative review, i was told to go ahead and do that! That is deception at its best!!!!

Venton gave me the best massage I think Ive ever had! My wrist was jammed for some time and he was able to pop it lose and give me my movement back. He also greatly eased rhe pain in my hips and lower back.
Not consistent with same massage therapist. Sometimes shes good, sometimes not. Tried other therapists, some dont listen to your request as to depth of pressure and area of body that needs more attention so i quit going there.

Ive been there a few times, they have some pretty decent massage therapists, but my favorite is Jeff, he understands pressure and listens.
Massage Luxe is my favorite massage place. So clean. Calming. Friendly staff. I love ALL the ladies up front. Oh and the massages are great too ❤️

Masterful massage however the front desk experience was disastrous which tensed me up so badly left me feeling like I never had the massage.
I asked for a full body deep tissue massage with focus on my shoulders and neck. He did focus on my neck and shoulders but for got my arms and legs.
Super relaxed after my hour massage with Heather. She worked out knots on my shoulders I had for awhile.
If you are going for a facial be sure to ask for Emily!! She does an amazing service, friendly and you will always leave feeling relaxed!!

My husband and I had a membership for over a year. Unfortunately due to a couple of surgeries, I was not able to get massages for a total of four months. Additionally, my husband underwent surgery and was not able to get massages for two months. Prior to our surgeries, I told the staff member (Tim) that I wanted to suspend my account but he discouraged me from taking this action stating that it would be a hassle to reactivate the account. When I was ready to use my credited hours, the owner would not honor my credit. Furthermore, we signed a membership for 90 minute massages which we received for approximately 4 months but when we decided to go to the location closer to our home (owned by the same individual), she said that she would only honor 60 minute massages). The last straw which lead us to cancelling our membership is when she changed our bank account (unauthorized) for the additional 30 minutes. I highly recommend going somewhere else where you will be treated fairly.
