Ive been at OYO for 2 months now. Andy and the staff at OYO are awesome. If you are traveling and looking for lodging near Blue Oval. This is the spot. Security cameras around the building, ice machine, and washer and dryer on site. Wifi is good but can be hit and miss when storms roll in. Breakfast could be better. But as a traveling operator, I dont book places based on breakfast. I was reluctant about staying here due to prior reviews. Glad I chose to come here. Once you stay here and get to know Andy and the other staff members you will find they are very trustworthy and accommodating to your work schedule and when rent is due. Also, DO NOT BOOK THROUGH A 3rd PARTY SITE. Call them directly. Ask for Andy.Edit... if you are traveling alone get a room with a single bed. As a traveler working here it was very convenient to put away all my luggage and belongings in the room and still have space to move around freely in the room.
Stayed at the Oyo a few days ago on business. I definitely recommend it! The room was a typical, slightly worn hotel room, but despite the wear it was VERY CLEAN, and the staff was TOP NOTCH! I got in after midnight and they got me a room quick, easy, and affordable, and when I asked if any restaurants were open that late, Akhil opened the breakfast bar so I could have something to eat and even tried to give me his own frozen dinner to microwave in my room! You can’t buy service like that! The housekeeping ladies and the morning desk clerk were also all very kind and considerate, and gave very helpful service.
It was an easy exit off the highway. The rooms were decent and looked clean with a working ac, towels, and fairly clean looking sheets.
Why isnt 0 stars an option. I booked through priceline, and thats a whole other story. I paid through priceline in advance. I drive almost 4 hours, and Anath at Oyo says hes canceled my reservation, but hell get me room for CASH only. (Double the price at that). He says that Ive been refunded. I call priceline, and its all lies. No cancelation, no refund. Ive got a notice I was checked in - but never was. Priceline is issuing the refund. Sorry, Im all over the place - I just got somewhere to stay after hours of this situation. And my 11 year old is with me through it all. Anyways, Anath said he wasnt going to give us a room without cash. He lied about cancelation and refund. He said my reservation was irrelevant and insisted on cash. He showed me a random text on his phone that said process refund & an affirmative. No name, no number, no email, no reservation ID, nothing - and expected me to believe it. Like Im an idiot. I mentioned this, and he smirked. Due to the eclipse, no rooms are open - effectively stranding my daughter and I. Priceline was unable to help with that problem. My son called Super 8 in Whiteville, and he opened a room for us due to the situation - hes getting 5 stars in a moment. I might come back and lay this out more coherently once Im calmer. The point I want to get across (and I read a similar review I unfortunately ignored) this man at Oyo (Anath) looked at a single woman, alone with a little girl, (us) and he LIED about refunding my money, lied about cancelation, refused to honor my prepaid/pre-booked reservation, tried to con me out of cash, tried to double the price, refused to honor the specific room I booked with the garden tub and told me it hasnt been available for months, then laughed and left us stranded because I wouldnt give him a couple hundred dollars in cash PLUS the more than $100 I had pre-paid. Men, dont send your wives or daughters to this man. Hes a predator. I wouldnt be surprised if hes a human trafficker and maybe we got lucky enough to escape.
Tried to make the same reservation offered online directly, but they wanted to charge $55 more for the same reservation.When I told them I wasnt interested at that price, the call got unexpectedly disconnected. 😂So Ive not changed my mind about staying there at all. For a town with no people and no visitors, I would think they would be more accommodating.
Your trip starts shitty because Google maps brings you to a different hotel 3 blocks away ... classic Indian owned hotel ...iykyk ... theyre very greedy people down to not giving extra towels ... only positive is that there were no bed bugs ...I travel for work ...I stayed but would have to go somewhere else if I wouldve had my wife and/or kids ...I dont understand why they never put and money back into these run down places.

Good stay and in very close proximity to blue oval! Theyve upgraded the motel and its nice to see owners putting money back in to renovate! The manager Christy does a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome and I can guarantee that if she wasnt there, the business would take a nosedive! Also if anyone ever needs to get in touch with you, shes SUPER FAST at getting that message to you! Great stay and if Im ever back to Memphis Id definitely stay again!
This place was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed in! There were roach traps everywhere, the towels were paper thin and only 2 were given for a family! The bed, well nothing positive there either, the pillows were coach pillows that had cases on them! They only had Roku tv, so if you didn’t have accounts at home you were SOL! Coach in the room was ripped and stained! Free breakfast, well that’s another joke, cold cereal with sour milk, expired waffle mix and that’s the choices! Very noisy! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

No one mentioned when I booked rooms that the hotel was in the middle of a reconstruction there was scaffolding, taped off areas, it was a mess. Getting to our room we had to duck under tape...the tub faucets, etc were all loose and rattled. The floor was dirty...we had been driving all day and decided to make the best of the situation. The beds were the only plus...they were very comfortable. With the condition that the rooms and hotel were in I dont think that they should even should have been open for business.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. We traveled here for work purposes had a room reserved for a week. The first night we get there they didn’t have our room available so they upgraded (or so we thought) our room for the night with plans to have a new one the next day. We get in there and didn’t unpack all of the way because we knew we had to switch rooms so we only brought a change of clothes in. We go to sleep and wake up at 1am getting eaten alive by bed bugs. We went to the front to tell them and THEY HAD THE NERVE TO ASK US IF WE WANTED SPRAY. So they definitely knew there was a problem and didn’t tell anyone about it. I put all of our clothes in a trash bag and went to a different hotel at 1 in the morning.

The hotel is under construction, and tenants live in the hotel, which was not mentioned when booking the room. The tenants Amazon packages and mail are in the checkin area, and the dining area had places to sit, but it is still in the process of being completed. Go to the room, there are flies, black mold in the ceiling, stain bedding, door not sealed, above sink is still in repairs, floor has grout smeared, walls are stained, lamp light switch by the bed is hard to reach, burn out bulbs and no black out curtains. I know they tried to decorate a mermaid theme, but it was stickers on a painting and headboard, paper table cloth, construction paper suns taped to wall, etc. The walls were so thin that I could hear the construction crew talking from the other side of the hotel. I did not stay. I went back to the front desk and had to wait while they dealt with an issue with the tenants rent. Thankfully, I got a refund it was overpriced for the condition of the room.

I was treated like a family member and felt that the staff went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Since all the construction is complete this is a wonderful place to stay .the staff were very friendly and always available to help no matter what. I would greatly recommend anyone who likes to be treated like family instead of a client. Great place
Read the bad reviews before staying here, but saw the replies from the owner/manager saying the remodel was complete, so we decided to give this place a shot. It was a big mistake. This was the worst, grossest motel Ive ever stayed in. Everywhere else in the immediate area was full so we stayed anyway and just called this a lesson learned. Ill be weary of all OYOs in the future.
I had a terrible experience with this hotel. I booked a room. Upon entering the room and getting settled I found a cockroach crawling out. Dirt and cob webs in the ceiling. Dirty shower area. And construction all over the building making it hard to park and get to my actual room due to construction. I have contacted customer service requesting for a refund and still have not received a response for the refund. I need my money back. I was just looking for a comfortable place to shower and lay my head for the night before traveling again on the road. Not looking for the four seasons. But reasonable. This is ridiculous.

Rooms were very nasty Roaches outrageous prices low because you need the rest of the money to purchase RAID OR Bombs like i did for roaches also Woke up bite marks all over me believe they have bed bugs , the room are nasty stains all over the walls the toilet OMG the shower pitiful. THE PICTURES SHOW SOME OF THE DEAD ROACHES I KILLED SPRAYING I then had to go purchase some bombs cause roaches EVERYWHERE only stayed cause all rooms booked but GONE TO NEVER RETURN. So I tell ANYBODY STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK HOW IS THE PLACE STILL OPEN EVERYONE THAT SAY ITS CLEAN IN LAST COUPLE WEEKS ARE PAID ADVERTISEMENTS OR GOT GREAT DISCOUNTS CAUSE THE PLACE JUST NASTY
Room was dirty stains all over the walls, hair and dirt in the bed, bathroom not clean, bath tub stained with dirt and would not drain properly, ac unit worked but was the loudest I have ever heard. for the price there is way better options near there that are better. I stayed in 4 hotels this trip all over TN and this is by far the worst one.

!!! DO NOT CALL THE PHONE NUMBER LISTED !!!I called and made a reservation. Had a confirmation number for one of 2 remaining rooms. The person was rattling off discounts and pushing for discounts on entertainment for the next day. When I arrived 10 minutes later, there were NO ROOMS and told to call the support number to get my money back. The number kept disconnecting me. When I got thru to a live person, they were giving me the run around until I pointed out that I was in the parking lot talking to a police officer. The officer told me the hotel has a lot of complaints against it for scammed reservations. The officer found us an available room at another hotel and they even knew of the scam as OYO often booked their rooms.
If I could give zero stars I would. This place was DIRTY. My 18mo had black feet within 10 mins of being in here. There was zero weather stripping on the door so there was at least an inch of space just between the door and the floor. This let in bugs, the smoke from smokers outside, and all the dirt and grossness. I was going to stick it out, we’d been driving with our toddler for nearly 10 hours and were ready for bed. Until I found stink bugs in my bed. That was the last straw. No thank you. The front desk easily let us cancel and leave, that was the only positive thing about this place. Except now I see a second charge on our credit card. So they’ll be having more words from us. Please don’t stay here.
OYO oh NO!!! The place was under a remodel. We got the last two rooms in the area that were newly renovated rooms, with the emphasis on newly.There were flies, paper-thin towels, of the only two that we had, when asking for more, I was not given more🤨. Our friends matress was damp, climbing in for the night. The wifi was not connected. We stayed in the room dedicated to Vets, which was not impressive. Sorry Vets. The breakfast,which was to serve construction workers, opening at 4:00 am, consisted of maybe a piece or two of fruit, an almost empty coffee pot, no waffle mix for the waffle maker, the milk for the Fruit Loops or flavored Rice Krispies was sticking to the side of the pitcher. OYO, oh no we wont be back.
Owner/manager very rude and chuckled at the situation...he did not report to Priceline he was full to prevent overbooking. Then Priceline had to call me back concerning refund b/c they couldnt reach anyone at the hotel. I literally just talked to rude owner in the PARKING LOT, b/c that is where i was I was told they were full as I was getting out of car to go inside. Not cool after 9 hours driving at 10:30pm in crime infested Memphis.
Christy was amazing! She went above and beyond for me and my family after our vehicle broke down on our road trip from Texas. Although we are stranded waiting on a ride, she made us feel welcome. Room is clean and comfortable.

I hate to read the bad reviews specifically the one on renovation I would hardly call it that Id say light remodeling wasnt a bother to me I have been at hotels having renovations its loud and a bother this was not that plus its looking amazing!!!

Overbooked my room I reserved online. They tried to scam me out of my money.
We stayed there on Sunday night. The booking experience was straightforward. Cash deposit for pet was $10 higher than the booking email said (scam). Got to the room and it smelled like urine. We were road-weary and beds were clean so decided to deal with it. The toilet paper holder was broken, walls in the bathroom were filthy. The TV only worked on one station. At 2:30 a.m. we noticed the AC had stopped working. No power to the unit. Further inspection showed a bare wire (guessing the ground) sticking up through the carpet. Lobby closed, no number to call. We loaded up the car and left. Absolutely awful experience.
Least expensive with direct check in rather than using an on line booking service. Not in the best shape but comparable to price and we’re not fussy. I’ve stayed at worse places. There were no bugs. It was clean enough. Fridge with freezer is a plus. Big TV with HBO. Bed had no mattress pad which was disappointing. There was no coffee pot in room as advertised but no matter to us. We always travel with our own pillows and coffee pot. You need to bring these things for yourself if you don’t want to pay top dollar.Update. Hard to sleep on the plastic mattress cover. Sweated all night and then there was no hot water in the shower.
Worst experience Ive ever had with a hotel. Charged up front for 2 weeks. Spent 2 days and checked out. Couldnt get a refund. Got hung up on multiple times trying to get the refund. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. They even went as far as saying if we sent in 5 more dollars they would give us a refund. This place is a joke. Next time Ill sleep in my car before I book a room with these people. The rooms were nasty the bathroom door was broken. Roaches running everywhere. Horrible. I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy. Please save your money or spend 20 more dollars and go somewhere else.
I have not stayed yet but did check it out. The front desk area was very clean and the staff I met were very friendly and welcoming. The outside area looked clean and safe. Very close the some fast food restaurants and gas stations which is convenient when you are on the go and passing through.

Great place clean rooms amazing water pressure in the shower nice place o come to after getting off work they have a patio w grills you can use make it feel almost like being home home away from home friendly staff as far as some of the bad reviews I don’t see y sounds like someone has it out for someone or thing unless they just dont know the difference between a stink bug and a cockroach I didn’t see any also as far as renovations idk I saw some remodeling that is looking awesome btw but it wasn’t interfering w my stay keep up the good work don’t let a few bd reviews get I down this hotel is awaome

Oyo hotel in Brownsville Tennessee does not want to except the Priceline price even know it was already taken out of my account. The manager was refusing to let me have my reservation for the reduced rate and said her computer was down. I do not like to get angry with people but I had to be really insistent that she was honoring the price and all of a sudden her computer was working . Then today I looked and she charged additional charges. The room was dirty, bed spread was very soiled, I found food, forks and napkins under the bed when I was trying to locate the smell. We did not stay and was refused a refund.
I have stayed here numerous times for long periods. This is by far the best motel for the price you pay. The woman that runs it is always extremely friendly and you definitely get a homey feeling. Nothing at all bad to say extremely clean and always a good choice.

Great place to stay, reasonable rates, washer and dryer on premises and a thumbs up to the staff. I left a binder with some important stuff in it when I checked out and miss crystal found it, looked my name and number up and gave me a call to let me know she had found it. Thank you again crystal!!

Nice place to stay, I came 4am, and I was exhausted, and I wanted a place sleep, I went to Comfort INN first and they said, we can’t check you in after 3am, and then I went to Quality INN, they told me same thing no check in after 3am, so I came to this pleasing place finally, they check me in right away and gave a room, so kind and nice people, super human 🙏🙏
We had to stop at OYO, Brownsville TN for one night as we were tired of our long drive.Looks like they have renovated it recently. Clean bed and new rooms for the right price.

Dirt Bags own the motel.. they have roaches everywhere.. bed bugs too.. the owner is rude and needed to take a shower.. I could smell her when I walked in the office.. I should have just slept in the uhaul.. 🤮
No wifi,The hotel is dirty, my pillows had hair and crumbs on them, the carpet is dirty, the shower is dirty, and my room light did not work. Price is too high for the quality of the hotel. Will not be staying here again

This is formally roadway inn it is now Oyo hotel it is under new management.. we have newly renovated rooms. and very clean.come check out the Oyo hotel. Cheap rate daily or weekly
