Footy Rooty Brownsville

Visiting family from Hawaii and when I came here for the first time seven years ago, I had an amazing massage. Back in town and went straight over there and the place smells like dirty feet. The massage was good and when I went outside, my masseuse asked me for a tip. I tip everyone, but I have never in my life (48 years) had anybody ask me straight up for it. I paid $82 for my massage and I was shamed for a $10 tip. The cashier came up to me after and told me I need to tip her 20. I had to speak into the phone to translate everything because nobody there spoke English. But they sure know how to speak English when it comes to demanding a tip. So unprofessional and tacky. They actually have a sign on the counter that says if you tip $10 the service was mediocre but if you tip $20-$30, it was good. Absolutely unreal.

Got a 30 minute couples back massage just to try it out and honestly it was amazing.! The ladies really took their time and were very nice. The massage was very relaxing it came with hot towels and hot rocks which I enjoyed . I will definitely be going back

My usual massage therapist was under the weather and had to reschedule, but I was in desperate need of a relaxation massage! The Carriage House Spa doesn’t have a massage therapist at the moment, so I went to Footy Rooty. I was able to get seen right away, but as soon as I walked in, it smelled a little like sewage 😝. I have a super sensitive nose, so the smell was hard to get rid off. The room was clean, but again, no aroma therapy or candles or at least a plug in. The massage itself was AMAZING, but the ambiance just didn’t do it for me! The room smelled like hot sauce! 🤣 The lady was nice and like I said the massage was very good. It even included hot rocks and hot towels for $55! However at the time of paying, they ask you how much tip, BUT they have a sign that goes from average to excellent and the least amount is $10, so you kind of feel pressured to leave $10 or more and when I said $10 she was like o ma gad, and some other stuff in her language!! Not cool at all. Needless to say, I probably won’t be going back. I couldn’t get past the smell.

Very good massage! Got the 1 hour body massage and it was amazing!! One thing I would like to point out, the tip recommendation should not be there because I honestly felt pressured and especially since my massager was near me when paying. Overall great!

Was able to get a massage on a walk in basis. If you are new to massages, start with the Swedish massage. I had the Eastern massage, and it was too intense. It did work out some of my knots to my upper back, but I was sore for about 3 days. I find the Swedish massage much more relaxing.

Coco did an amazing job! I got an eastern massage and a 30 minute foot massage. The pressure was perfect! She was also very kind and attentive. Footy rooty always provides amazing service! Thanks Coco and staff!

If I could give them more stars I would!! My husband and I went in for a couples massage and they got us right in and gave us STELLAR massages. HIGHLY recommend-although I wish we could keep them a secret!

So much miscommunication. Came in at 1130am after being told yes. Then they said they misunderstood so Id have to wait until 12. Waited in my car and then came in prior to 12 and they said Id have to wait til 1230. Used to like this place now the wait isnt worth it.

It was amazing I recommend thus place to anyone who works almost everyday!! I got a sweet lady named COCO and I felt so comfortable and welcomed! Excellent place!!! Love it!! ❤️

I needed a full body massage BADLY & Eric took very good care of me here! I got the 90-minute session that included/ concentrated on back, arms, waist calves, ankles , and feet. The hot oil , soothing atmosphere & cleanliness of establishment were SOOOOO worth it for $79 !!! If I lived in Brownsville, I would become a member of this place because they treated me wonderfully, and their hours of operation are perfect- They are available to fit all schedules ! Give yourself love & try this place!

So far this is the best footy rooty in the valley. Probably cause it’s all Chinese people. Foot massages leave you feeling like you’re walking on clouds.

I had a 90 minute therapeutic massage with Michael. He was great! I have a lot of problems with my hips and knees due to arthritis. I went in with very limited mobility and came out walking with much more flexibility. I will definitely be back.

The absolute best massage. First time here and the service was exceptional. Very professional and attention to my needs. I had severe back pain and left feeling so good. Will return!

I have been in constant discomfort from work and weightlifting on my lower back. Coco does a great job of alleviating that specific area that bothers me. Coco was even nice enough to come in on her birthday to massage me since I requested her. She has a soft touch yet very firm in areas where the blood needs circulation. I recommend everyone to this footy Rooty & Coco if you can get her. The other masseuses do a great job as well.

It was my first time at this Footy Rooty and I had a 90 minute massage. My masseuse was Coco. She did a very professional job in loosening and relieving my back and leg aches and knots. I highly recommend this place to relieve stress and will definitely be going back.

Outstanding!!! They fix my hold back, specially my shoulders and neck, I had lots of knots they were so tight. I super recommend it. Wow! Give yourself a treat 😊

Just came out from a foot session. It was awesome! They took my daughter and I in promptly upon arrival. My daughter liked it so much she fell asleep comfortably. We liked it so much that e got the membership to give our footsies some pampering more often.

Very relaxing and a good value. I will return. Overall a great foot reflexology type massage but he could have been more vigorous on the feet. He did great otherwise. Sadly, he also had bad breath. Still quite worthwhile.

I came to this place a year ago I waited for about 10 minutes nobody says a word to me they just look at me and walk away and leave me sitting in the lobby for 10 minutes or more. I thought maybe that was a fluke, I went back today and the lady looked directly at me, walked down the hallway closed the door and never came out... Im not asking for the red carpet, but a simple Ill be with you shortly would go a long way... This business is great at making people feel alienated. I can only surmise that this company is a front for some other type of illegal activity because they do not even try to help a customer out or make them feel wanted.

Mary was amazing! Ive gone several times, and shes by far my favorite. She was super sweet and knew exactly how much pressure to use on specific spots. Will be going back to her!

It’s the best massage I have ever had especially for my first time! I totally recommend coming here to sooth all your nerves. If you have a back nerves or even pulled a back muscle, I recommend getting the back treatment for 1 hr :))

Great place, Lynda was awesome!! They brought me in quickly, no wait at all I called before I went & they took me in immediately. They werent pushy with different prices, but just remember that nothing they give is free, if they ask if you want something else, you will be charged for it. Ill be back next week!

I had a great massage here. The masseuse knows his craft. He applied just the right amount of pressure and released all the knots I had. I suffer from lower back pain but a visit here always make me feel better. Thank you!

Eric did an outstanding job. It was the best and most thorough massage of my life. The price for full body massage is also very reasonable. Worth every penny they ask. Really, Eric was incredible, a real massage expert.

If you want to l unwind and destreza come to this place for a massage. The environment was clean and relaxing. The masseuse was very thorough and addressed all muscles in the full body massage. I highly recommend it!! Very nice people!

Zero pressure. Mediocre. Lethargic. Wasteful. More time of tapping the body (makes zero sense) but not massaging. A robbery! The masseuse will definitely make sure they stand near you while paying to make sure you tip them-experts on that!

It’s difficult to compare my situations to others but the staff was very friendly with me from bringing me water while I was waiting to be seen to giving me a place to lay dawn while I waited. I noticed the front desk person was speaking Mandarin and it so happens that I am taking Chinese atm. After exchanging niceties in Chinese and laughing for a while, he even reviewed my homework ☺️Besides that, the massage was wonderful, I got the 90 minute massage which included the head, foot and hot stone massage as well. 10/10 will be going again.

Been here a few times & still keeps working for us. Massages are great. Therapist will do what seems to be a quick evaluation of your body by testing amount of pressure being used at beginning by asking, this fine? Will then do a quick rub down to see where they might feel some stiffness so they may focus their time on one area more then another. Which has worked really well for my husband & I. For a women, I recommend a swedish massage & for men, I recommend Eastern massage (more pressure). Go check out their services.

The massage therapist was great (can’t remember her name). Front office was nice and very accommodating. The facility seemed old and their room seemed too small for what we were doing. The poor massage therapist had to take things in and out of the room in an awkward way and could barely open the door with the way the bed was positioned. But I guess it was ok.

This place is amazing!! Must go!! I’ve been so so many messages places and I never feel satisfied this place was amazing!!! Will be coming back!!

I work all day in front of the computer talk with clients 10 hours a day I hurt my left shoulder and my foot was numb I just really needed to have my back cracked and the blood to circulate around my body my wife and I got a couples massage that poor lady did her best to put as much pressure as she could on my back it hurt a little bit but I finally got everything circulating boy do I feel better she went out of her way to make sure that I felt better and even put hot stones rubbed in my back and my wife also felt very relaxed as well so I wanted to give this a five star and say thank you for taking all the knots out of my back

Excellent 1.5hr foot, upper body and back massage. Make sure to go no clothes. Really need some good smells going, the place doesnt smell great. Took away from the experience.
