I absolutely love coming here. Being a woman in a straight bar can be a little uncomfortable sometimes. Being here, I feel so comfortable and safe. Consent is EVERYTHING here. I can be myself and not worry about who has something to say about it. Ive met so many wonderful people here. Including the amazing and fun bartender (well call her A) If A sees that youre uncomfortable, shell step in no hesitation. The atmosphere is laid back, chill, accepting and just over all fun and a stress relief. Id recommend this place to anyone I meet or want to take there for some fun, especially during the amazing drag shows they have Thurs-Sun!! Definitely worth a visit!

First time there last night after attending the Shinedown concert. The bartender David, was absolutely amazing and sooo nice! The atmosphere is welcoming as well as the cheap drinks! I would definitely come back! I give this place a 10 out of 10!!!

This place is great! The staff are always so awesome and ready to have fun. The shows are wonderful and the owners are so amazing! I definitely recommend going for some fun and great staff!

Karaoke is ok but the fun night is Tuesday with Bar Bingo!

Regularly visit basix but drag roulette has been my favorite show so far as the queens and kings are forced to show off raw talent vs purely choreographed sets and it was absolutely amazing

Friday night with friends and enjoyed at the Hous of Monroe the show was fantastic, looking forward another fun night!!

Friendly atmosphere!!!! Staff is delightful!! Nikkie makes amazing drinks!!! Love the fact they do karaoke on Mondays!! Wish they would change it to like Tuesday or Wednesday cause thats my normal day off! Been here only three times and everytime Ive been inside its been very clean and bartenders are a delight!

This bar is an absolute delight. Always a fun and positive atmosphere, welcoming everyone in the community. The bartender/manager Amanda, truly cares about the bar, environment, safety, and fun everyone is having. It’s clean, safe, and a fun place to be any night of the week. If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out.

Great place to be. Amanda and Roxie are A+ staff. Been going since the previous owner/management. Glad to see a queer establishment is still thriving after all these years and during these times.

Absolutely love that they find something to do every day of the week. The regulars are so welcoming for karaoke (Thursday) and trivia (Wednesdays). Absolutely love the drag shows and the queens. Trey and Amanda are such gracious bartenders!

Good vibes and drinks but you need better music like give me different alternatives not just techno but , rock, r&b,rap, pop like it’s annoying and literally it’s one person dancing because they’re either drunk or on something. This is not edc in Vegas we not on drugs and even if we are it’s still not giving !!!!! Love the music but put some different s/&2@ on!!!!

I haven’t been here in over 10 years as I have been living in Dallas, Texas. Came a few nights ago with my Sister and cousins. It’s always been a good time with friendly it endless people having fun. It was fun to go back and I’ll look forward to going back again soon. 🌈

Have visited this bar two nights and enjoyed both visits. One was on a calm night and the other on a very busy holiday night. Both nights the employees were very friendly and welcoming! Can’t wait to come support this business again!

This place is always such a great time! So friendly and welcoming to everybody! The Haus of Monroe was Phenomenal! Just what we needed for a fun girls night out!

This bar was very enjoyable during the week when I have visited on layovers and is definitely worth a visit for happy hour.On the weekend, however, I had a less than enjoyable experience with one of the bartenders, of whom was a younger gentleman with a beard and a cowboy hat. He was pretty short with me and snubbed me repeatedly for absolutely no reason. I wouldnt visit on a weekend again from that experience with that bartender specifically.

I attend a lot of drag shows but most recently the Haus of Monroe drag show. The entertainers for phenomenal and engaged with the crowd. The music was great and the drinks were flowing. The staff at basix in general are so inviting. I would love to see Haus of Monroe have another show at basix! Its so great to see and watch a family of entertainers do what they love to do best; perform and entertain. ❤️

The remodel is great. Lot of new and vibrant energy has been placed into Basix. I have been going for a long time and its a brand new place with a brand new feel. Staff is pretty great themselves!

Was there last Thursday for karaoke. It was a small crowd but a lot of fun! Definitely worth going to. For the gentleman who paid for my soda, thank you!!

Super welcoming! We were new to the neighborhood and needed new place to go.I was nervous at first but everyone was friendly and inviting. A wonderful neighborhood bar!

Owner is a bit of a narcissist. This bar used to be amazing. Once the new owner took over its went downhill. If I could give it a -10 I would. Its sad because Basixs used to be busy both Friday and Saturdays. Now its struggling to stay afloat.

They need gay guys walking and dancing around in underwear and speedos for entertainment. Friday and Saturday should be gay guys in underwear and speedos AND drag queens. How can it be a gay bar when they ONLY offer DRAG QUEENS ? There are gay guys that would gladly walk and dance around in underwear or speedos for FREE.
