This place has a clothing check….gagged. I’m an Orlando gay (however, not a Disney gay…no shade) and that’s a feature we don’t have in our wide array of 2 gay clubs in town (rattlesnakes). Loved the vibe tho, it was really circuity upstairs, and also the floor below the night I went during pride….not sure if it’s a circuit club but had a great time.

The best queer space in Seattle right now. So many creative ideas coming from different themed nights, drink specials, and spectacular dancing! Very inclusive and an amazing refresh of the glorious nostalgia from R place. Truly an icon of Seattle queer night life!

This is a really sacred alternative queer space and Seattle really needed this. It’s giving a small piece of Berlin club in our humble little Seattle. I’m a big music person and I also feel like Massive officially has the most unique and alternative varieties of electronic music. The electronic scene has really gone stale in Seattle, but it is finding a blooming place among the queer scene.

Massive has done an amazing job bringing such talented DJs to this unique and queer space. Curating electronic-centered vibes; from techno to house. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. It can get hot upstairs, so dress light, bring a fan, and live your best free self. Spaces like this are few and far between, it’s always a fun time dancing the night away.

Seattle finally has a great queer space for music, dancing, and great vibes. If you love great music with a fun sweaty, sexy vibe, Massive is the place to go for it. Keep in mind, this isn’t Union or the Cuff. It’s a space for queer people to experience music and express themselves and it absolutely hits on all cylinders

Single-handedly reinvigorated the gay night scene in Seattle post-2020. The music is amazing and the vibes are always immaculate; the themed nights of the week are my favorite! This place just opened and is already a highlight of the night life here, cant wait to see what they have in store for us :)

Incredibly inconsiderate to nearby residential buildings, this business blasts amplified sound past 1am on weekdays blatantly breaking ordinance rules. The bass can be felt through walls down the street.Calling out a business for accountability is not an attack on the community. Residents have lived here for years, long before this business arrived. Other clubs in the area with strong sound systems don’t have these issues, and the previous club in this space never did either. It’s disappointing that this business not only ignores sound ordinances but also vilifies neighbors and community members as anti-LGBTQ when asked to be more considerate :(PS: FYI to other residents- Seattle does have a system to formally submit sound violations if you search nightlight noise complaints on the Seattle gov site.

Massive has become our crews new it place. With an inviting queer atmosphere and the best EDM/Disco dancefloor on the Hill currently, we have no choice but to stan.Pair this with a really great staff and security that are mindful of their service and keep things moving along at a healthy pace while also making patrons feel respected.I would also like to sound off on the promoters ability to bring in fantastic talent, both local and outer city. There is always variety found at Massive. Though catering mostly to a House-centric dancefloor, Ive found multiple nights where a Techno line could be heard from the mezzanine or a more Pop-ish (mainstream) beat could be danced to upstairs. This also attracts a variety of clientele, which is always a good sign.Local queers like myself are excited to see Massives continued growth and improvement, and I hope that they keep bringing a more art-centic approach to nightlife that has been desired in this city for a multitude of time.

Was excited to finally try out the newest queer club on the hill but last night was disappointing. The music that was playing wasnt even remotely good to dance to and tickets were definitely overpriced. Maybe we went on a bad night, or perhaps this just isnt what I vibe to, but Ive never been so bored at a club before.

I love what they’ve done with the place! We needed a very special spot to bridge the gap left between gay bars, and that couldn’t just be any ol’ drinking hole. Massive really stepped up to the plate and hit a home-run with their team, music, and vibes. I hope they just keep getting better for many years to come!

This club feels like a secret- like those warehouse parties in sodo, oakland, chicago, vancouver bc. Incredible booking, diverse dancers, different crowds and bodies depending on the night. Strong drinks and absolutely warm and kind staff. All folks are welcome and consent is enforced. So grateful this place feels a desperately needed niche in Seattle nightlife. Check it out and ignore the Amazombies complaining from their 3200 a month studios nearby. And thank you Massive for keeping Capitol Hill queer!

We had a blast at Massive on The Last Friday In March. Shameless was poppin’ off upstairs with deep, danceable house and some edgier techno was on the second floor. Suprised it wasn’t more crowded, as this is now a killer venue for music and a dynamic queer space like no other. The staff is on point, the temperature is right and the curation of DJs is immaculate. We used to call this place The Tower Of Power when it was a high-energy mainstream gay bar, now it’s a music-centric queer-led dancehall that feels a bit more, shall we say.. TODAY. Yes. Yes we shall.

Meh, it’s alright. It didn’t leave a massive impression on me though 🙃Staff is incredible, drinks are decently strong, music was disappointing.Ultimately not worth a $20 cover with a $5 coat check. After paying the cover, their staff flips the screen to see if you want to tip — tip for what, bb? 👁️🫦👁️ I’ll always tip the coat check and the bar tender, but why on earth would I tip you for charging me entry?

This was advertised as a COUNTRY NIGHT at the club. Me and my girls show up in our hats and chaps and everything, and we hear maybe 1 country song all night. To make bad matters horrendous, they advertised a big picture of the beautiful and dazzling queen B on the poster. Even though I was begging and pleading all night for them to play her, the play JUST TEXAS HOLD’EM at the very end of the night…. I’m so tired of false advertisement and using and idol of mine for clout. Death to all of them.

Massive was massively underwhelming! Think R Place with worse music—literally, nothing’s changed but the music. Maybe the plywood on the window is new? It was odd! There was a $10 cover, they had a coat check, it was hot, and they played house music without lyrics. If the music had words for familiarity, it would have been a little better… But, the continued cadence was monotonous and a little annoying.Massive is no R Place, and I don’t want it to be, but it wasn’t better. This is not the go to place!

It’s funny how after R-Place left all these people moved in nearby and complain about noise…you know where you moved. Get out of the Gayborhood if you were expecting to live in a library. This building has been a club for 35+ years. The place was closed for a few years and now people are upset they can hear it in luxury apartments. Boo hoo.

Constant banging all night from over a block away, my bed is vibrating. Before anybody says anything about “straight people moving to the hill” , I’m queer and I remember when this was R place. R place was here for decades and never shook other buildings. Most of us have lived here a lot longer than massive, and asking for basic sound proofing and being a good neighbor to the community is not coming after the club itself. I’m glad another queer space has moved into the building, but a lot of queers are now being forced to move away from their homes because this one club can’t soundproof. This isn’t cool or okay by any means.

Went for the first time last night and it HAS potential to be great but the delusional high rates for the event covers and drink prices they charge is going to be their downfall. Especially when CC’s, Diesel and Pony are not far and significantly cheaper for drinks for more bang for your buck. The space definitely needs a “massive” (ha) makeover too. With better marketing, reasonable prices and some decor changes, Massive could be a huge success. They need to listen to feedback or perish.

This is not the old R’Place, so do not come in with those expectations. This is more of a mellower version of Cuff. The music is the same as Cuff, house music, same tempo. The prices are a little high, the drinks are okay, and there is a bad smell that lingers probably due to old HVAC systems. The place is not bad by any means, its just not great.Seattle in general doesn’t seem to have a big gay nightlife like other major cities do. We don’t really have a gay club that plays top hits (pop, rap, hiphop, dance). I was hoping Massive would fulfill that missing element, but unfortunately we got more of the same. There is room for improvement, and I understand the owners are making do with what they got.All in all it’s another gay space where we can go and be ourselves. We have so few of them nowadays. I just wish there was good music, and that Massive would have brought the positive clubbing vibes back. Heres to hoping.Massive is a solid 2.5 with room for improvement. I’ll be excited to see how this space evolves in time.

First things first, this is NOT R Place re-branded. It is Massive. Not sure what type of venue it is, other than a space rented that host different themes every weekend. It is more of a Trance and Trance House scene for primarily gay men. Not the top 40/hip hop dancing crowd. But rather the older jockstrap and leather - no shirt required and yte type of crowd. Yes, I said yte. There was not much, if any, diversity in the crowd. The wait to get in, even with pre-sale tickets (they call them donations) was 40 minutes, the drinks were standard, and the upstairs dance floor was like a Sauna in hell. They turned on no air to have everyone sweat and smell. So, as mentioned, the scene is mostly yte, young to bear, no-shirt, trance dancing type crowd. I certainly miss the diverse and fun atmosphere of R place. And, I did get a few looks from some folks. Not smiles. Just looks.

We paid $55 per ticket for the 2023 Halloween event which was marketed as the teaser opening. It was a teaser alright. With how they were hyping this place (and charging!), we were expecting the queer version of Q. Reality set in when we entered, the place looks like its had ZERO improvements over the old R Place. Massive felt like a grungier, darker, ratchet version of Monkey Club. The Halloween event was a joke. Nice crowd but other than that, the space was depressing. 2nd floor had a makeshift DJ booth with speakers on tripods which I almost tripped over. 3rd floor had some dancers and better lights. Security was non existent - no one was even getting pat down or having their bags checked which was very concerning. Coat check was a jumbled mess. Sound was meh.If youre charging Vegas prices for entry, your club needs to be at least half as good - Q, Foundation proved that decent nightclubs are possible in Seattle. Right now as it stands, Massive is a huge disappointment.
