Great little shop here. Got a vaping lounge and store was clean and organized. The guys working there were friendly and helpful. I got what i went there for. Found some blueberry custard i cant wait to try. Oh and they fixed one of my vapes for me.

Ive been in a dozen or more times over the years and have had good enough experiences that I returned.They have a multitude of various sub-ohm and pod devices, kits and supplies on hand and a knowledgeable staff to assist as you navigate your way to fulfilling clouds good enough to help you leave the cigarettes behind. I purchased several devices here, juice, salts and coils and could always count on CIV to find the right liquid or the coil I needed for whatever obscure Chinese rig I brought in.The last couple of times I popped in were disappointing though. (many months ago)I purchased an inexpensive mod kit here then though to stock up on fluid and so wanted a very high nicotine juice/salt to fill it with (l love nicotine and enjoy massive doses, have for many years) but after explaining this to the counter person and requesting a 5% salt, much to my surprise, he refused to provide it stating that he cant let me use that salt in this device as it would be way too strong. I honestly thought he was joking at first.I will be 60 in October and I can take care of myself without your intervention Officer Nicotine Narc! I went down the road and purchased what I needed. Ridiculous.The next time I walked in I was shopping for a new device and when I pointed to one I was interested in and simply asked for the price the (different guy) said. I dont know. I gave him a bit to qualify his statement with a possible explanation why not or maybe a let me find out.Nope, he was done. That was our conversation and I determined that we had wrapped up our business together so I went down the road again.The last two visits knocked a star off but Ill be back eventually and anticipate that well get back to 5 stars but hopefully the owner/s will see this and take pause when deciding who they let run the shop. If I encounter a third fool at the helm Im afraid Ill abandon ship and swim up the road. They charge a premium price here and I expect exemplary service in return. A fair deal providing it is available every time.

Not pleased at all since the old crew left this store. The guy behind the counter wouldnt talk just stood there staring, picking at his face. I told my husband that I would just order juice online.... the guy needs to get better customer service skills!!

Every time I come here it’s like they have a new employee who is more arrogant and lacks more critical thinking skills than the last. The amount of pretentiousness of every person I’ve ever talked to in this store is astounding, you work at a vape shop making a little more than minimum wage you need to take yourself down a few notches little guy.

Best vape shop in town. Ive been going here for years and they are always so nice, very knowledgeable and always love their selections. The only issue Ive ever had is they are frequently out of the coils I need but thats not their fault, I just tend to come on a day they havent had a shipment yet and they always have them ordered. Im impressed with the experience I had at Central Iowa Vapors! I came into the store having a general idea of what I wanted and was looking to make a quick transaction without spending too much money. The employee who helped me was extremely knowledgeable about their products, attentive to my needs as a customer, and provided friendly & efficient service.

I have been ordering from Central Vapors for quite some time now I absolutely love their products and they do great with Summer service and making sure you are happy with what you have received I will continue to purchase from them they have great pricing as well! Definitely recommend them as your go-to! Not to mention it is very hard to find the kind of Vape juice that I prefer glad I always have them too fall back on!

Everything about this store exceeds my expectations. Walking in you can tell that this is a Professional establishment. The moment I entered I had received a warm greeting and a how may I assist you. They were understanding of my needs and knowladgeable of all of their product. Watching them help others I could see how much they customize each encounter. They are awesome. I could spend all day here. I went from 2 packs a day, to a pack in 10 days, honestly I lost tack, the same two opened packs in my coat have been there since I got my smok. I prefer the smok over smoking. The staff was incredibly helpful, patient, and accurate. I spent a little bit of money, but staff did not try to up sell me, they explained my options, and explained how my device worked. Wouldnt go to another shop in town.

(My experience is with salt nic and salt nic devices.)Your experience depends on the person working the counter as some are wayyyy better than others. The selection of devices isnt as large as most other vape shops so for those I go elsewhere. They do have most lf the coils and their juice selection is ok. One of the only vape shops on this side of town so they have that going for them. Very nice and clean inside with places to lounge.

Robert was phenomenal! Im new to the vape world and there are so many different mods. He didnt try to sell me the most expensive one instead he told me about the different models and explained the strengths and weaknesses of each one. He also taught me how to properly take care of my tank and made sure I had everything I needed at a decent price. Thank you again for your amazing customer service.

Previously Ive had a few great experiences here. However as of late Ive been unimpressed. After my last visit, disappointed. Upon entering the store we were greeted by any empty store. After checking the stock in the store a gentleman came from the back of the store. His greeting came off very aggressive. Giving me and my party a tone that expressed annoyance with us being there. I asked for a personal recommendation for a fruity fluid and was replied with 63% of our store is fruity so you need to do better then that. I would recommend a greater emphasis to the consumer experience. I wouldnt recommend CIV at this time. The other local competition may not have the selection but they more then make up for it in customer service. I will be happy to give them another chance in a few months.

I have been shopping at central Iowa vapors across Iowa for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I came in and asked for pods for a specific device. They gave me the wrong ones. I came back to the shop not even 5 minutes after I realized and they wouldn’t exchange the pods to fix their own mistake. The guy said “so basically you’re out $9 and have to buy the other ones”. Didn’t even make an attempt to remedy the situation. I expected better from a company that I’ve given so many referrals and dollars.

My particularly chosen type of liquid is very hard to find. Thankfully this shop not only carries it but also posts it on their website. I travel nationwide and being able to find my particular favorite flavor is a godsend. Definitely appreciate the very detailed inventory on their website. Very good service. The manager on duty was quite helpful.

Terrible customer service, I asked for help and the guy didn’t know what he was talking about and told me wrong information. I had to drive 30 min back to the store for him to tell me he told me the wrong thing. I’ll never be returning. Asked for a refund and was told I need to come in and we would “talk” about it. 0/10 I’ll be going somewhere else next time. Hire employees that know their stuff.EDIT it got much worse, after he set up my vape it continued to leak all day, I had to call the manager who HUNG UP on me... and demand a refund, because apparently they don’t do refunds. The staff here are super helpful and no one tried to up sell or push me to buy something more than what I wanted. All of my questions were answered nicely. The overall experience was pleasant and I felt the prices were very reasonable. Plus I learned that they ship products too!

I would recommend this place to anyone, but particularly to anyone whos newer or less knowledgeable about vaping like I am.Only been in here about 3 times so far, but Im gonna keep coming back. They have a veteran discount too which is cool.I was most impressed my first time there when I didnt know what flavor I wanted to get. They have a setup where you can try what they have, and I found one I liked. Also very helpful on equipment, I needed a new atomizer on my 3rd trip. I wasnt sure what exactly I needed but they got me the right one.

Two days in a row, Robert worked patiently with me and my questions and today, he and Todd took the time to make sure i was completely comfortable with the purchase and within my budget. I went in today hoping Id get better service than i did with the last place i went to and it looks like i went to the right place!!! I have a very basic beginners mod and the tank has leaked from day 1 and the coils that came with it were junk. I went in today and the store manager was there and he was quick to get me a very nice and well built tank that matched my mod and extra good coils to go along with it. Just a word to the wise... Hell upsale you Lol. He actually took the time to see what mod i was using and explain a lot more than the place did where i bought it. I will now be doing all my business there.

Havent been to a single vape shop where customer service isnt great. This one included. I think there is a different set of selections compared to others but I cant say it has more. Prices are better than others which is the main reason I will keep going back.

The staff is really knowledgeable and have always been able to answer any questions I have also the prices are fairly reasonable how long reasonable along with their rewards program or loyalty program so Id definitely like it

This place is what B&M Stores should be. Great selection, employees are professional with good knowledge, and no one is pressuring you to buy something that wont fit your actual needs.A lot of stores can tend to feel more like a club house then a place of business, but here I have found everyone to be professional and helpful!

Nice selection and good prices. However everytime I go in, the guy with the pentagram necklace is always a jerk. I have purchased several times but This past time he wouldnt sell to me, because I mentioned it was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. Ugh. So I just went to another place--where they gladly helped me out.

Years and years of service, and most recently, the juices I buy are no longer available, and even more recently, one of the employees doesnt pay attention. Asked for watermelon today, confirmed the brand twice, was given chilled remix instead. Unacceptable.

I have gotten 3 devices there that were malfunction able like overheated, or stopped charging up. They have great tasting e-liquid, but a little expensive especially with big tanks and mesh coils using up e-liquid faster.

Todd and Tim are phenomenal salesmen. I have never vaped before and was recommended by a friend. They took the time to explain the differences between devices while at the same time making recommendations. The flavors they carry are phenomenal and I will definitely be coming back to try some more. Highly recommend for the first timer or the expert.

Great experience. Nice store many variety’s of vapes and liquids to choose from. Todd helped us and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Allowed us to try a variety of flavors of liquids before we decided on a few. Could have stayed there for a lot longer deciding :).

I came into cedar rapids on a work trip and got into the hotel late and by the time I looked up the shops near by the store was almost closed I got in just before and Tim was there to greet me. I have nothing but good things to say. He was very friendly and the selection was in real. He helped me find a flavor I loved and helped walk me through the whole process despite being technically closed. If Im ever back in town I know right where Im comimg.

They are knowledgeable and carry so many flavors. The people are friendly as well. It makes you feel welcomed. I love the rewards punch cards as well.

This shop used to be my go to but recently the customer service has gone way down hill. I went in the the store in cedar rapids tonight to buy coils and to browse other potential purchases. The older skinny gentleman that works at night has always kinda rubbed me the wrong way with his unfriendly attitude halfheartedly greets me and I tell him I need coils. As he gets my coils I walk away from the counter to the other side of the store to look at other potential purchases I may want to make. I spend alot of money on vaping and have spent $200 or more on more than one occasion in this store, Id consider myself good for there business... as I am looking in the display cases he hollers to me $21.00... I said excuse me? There were 2 other customers in the store at the time who had just walked away fro the register I assumed he must of been talking to them. He tells me again... $21.00.Clearly I am looking at other items In the store and am nowhere near the register ready to cast out and leave. I said well ok... I wasnt done looking at things but I am now. He says sorry sir and started ringing me up. Clearly I was waiting is valuable time. I will not be spending another penny at this location. They have lost me as a customer

Ive been going to Central Iowa vapor for years. I lived in Des Moines when I switched and was happy to find it here in Cedar Rapids. Tim is a great guy. Always has good suggestions. The other guys are good too. I couldnt imagine doing business elsewhere.

I love Central Iowa Vapors, but for the last 4 weeks I have went in to get my Vaporesso Gen Nano coils they have not had the 20-30w coils. I really dont want to take my business else where but I really want the coils I like. It would be awesome if they could get them in.

I went into the store with an issue with my vape pipe and these guys were absolutely wonderful. They took a look at my situation and they fixed it. And the biggest surprise for me was that they didnt charge me to do it. I would recommend them to anyone.

So I was passing through town and needed some juice and coils decided to stop here. While in the store I noticed the vaporesso gen s. I ask the difference between the original and the s. The guy tells me it has a new chipset and is so much better than the original gen. The gen is awesome by the way. So I buy it. Open it up, it has the same chip as the original the only difference is colors and the tank it comes with. So either he didnt know what the hell he was talking about or he was just trying to make a few extra bucks. Either way, its not good business if you want repeat customers. I would have spent 150 bucks on juice and coils alone. Glad I was just passing through because I dont have to deal with them again.

Me and my co-workers came in here and Tim was the man got us all hooked up! Took his time explaining all of our questions we had for him Come down and check him and Todd out were from out of town but by far the best vape shop in Cedar Rapids hands down!

We came by an hour after open to get a new tank and found a sign on the door saying they went to get ice melt. After waiting 25 minutes atleast another customer informed me they called him and he was 5 minutes away. So we waited just to go in and be told they didnt have a tank and the other stores might have one. The customer before me you guys didnt have his coils. It sound like whoever is ordering needs to stop slacking off and closing during business hours for ice melt is a perfect example of you guys not being prepared for customers. The last time I came in I had to wait 15 minutes for the guy to talk vape talk to an old lady with 3 customers waiting in line. Terrible service and the managers needs to get ahold of ordering cause u lost about 10 customers being closed for 30+ minutes and lost a customer for good who would come in at least once a week.

I tried vaping once before and I coughed none stopped. 6 months later I wanted to try again because I didnt want to smoke cigarettes anymore so I stopped in and spent 45 mins learning about vaping properly. The employee are very very understanding to new people wanting to learn and explained everything very well. I went from smoking 2 packs a day to 4 cigarettes the next day. I even talked my grandma and aunt into going the very next day to try it out. I highly highly recommend this shop to help anyone wanting to switch between cigarettes to vaping. The employees the helped me was name was Sam and he is very helpful if I got his name wrong he is the really tall guy. I am extremely grateful for all his help and understanding that I needed help. The second day I did smoke a single cigarette. The Initial cost to get started with the extra is about $90 dollars but I did the math and within 2 Weekes I will actually be saving money and within 1 months I will have saved $200 dollars at 2 packs aday

The workers keep telling me theyre going to get a new flavor for my juul. Everytime I go in they NEVER have it. One employee told me he was going to get them on a specific day. So i took time out of my day to be there to get the flavor, and is STILL wasnt there!! Just dont tell a customer something multiple times to get my Hopes up and let me down!!!

Super helpful! I have been to a few shops, and this is the only one who took time to help me find what I was looking for. First place Ive been to with a test station where you can actually vape the flavors rather than licking which can be misleading.Awesome establishment and wonderful customer service!

Its a nice store and I dont mind paying for samples, but it would be great to be able to use your own device. The ones they have to test are garbage and cant get a good test of how its going to vape. The other shops in town charge but can use your own. Prices a high compared to the other shops.

We refuse to go anywhere else for our vape needs. DC is our go to guy every time we go. The guys are very knowledgeable and they dont treat you like a customer. They treat you like a friend every single time.

Very very helpful staff here, smart genuine guys that do their job very well. For 50 cents, trying all those vape flavors is a really nice addition to the store, and you can be here for hours just talking, vaping and chilling and theyre fine with it. Theyll try to sell things sure, but they dont sell you things you dont need or think you wouldnt like.

I was in the shop for the first time and I was asking questions about the prices and another customer comes in and the sales associate completely stopped assisting me and started to help the other customer right in the middle of our conversation about the prices. Never did get the prices or any other help for that matter. THE HAZY HIDEAWAY HAS THIS PLACE BEAT BY 210 PERCENT. TAKE BUSINESS THERE IF YPU WANT GREAR CUSTOMER SERCICE AND A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT.

You must have to be VIP at this place because I had to wait several minutes before I got service and then when I finally did...I had to explain for about 15 minutes that I needed nic salts just for them to ask me if I had the right device. They wouldnt sell me anything higher than 18mg...so I ended up leaving with nothing. I had a friend who told me of a simlar experience.

Employees are very helpless. I was asking questions about what to get as I am trying to quit smoking but all 3 employees acted as if I was burdening them. They would not take anything out of the boxes so I could hold them and see if its a good fit for me. Their knowledge of different products were very very limited.

My new SMOK mod broke 1 day after the store warranty was up. I brought it in after emailing the manufacturer. This was the day after I had already purchased another one since I didnt want to wait for SMOK to replace it. They not only took back the broken mod for but they gave me my money back for the mod I had purchased the day before. I would totally recommend Central Iowa Vapors for their customer service and great vaping selections.

Im a rookie at this vaping stuff, so i went in with a brand recommendation and the guy working was very rude. They didnt have the brand, which was fine. Asked what they have with a 510. A snotty I dont know was his reply. Dont waste your time with this asshat. Go to Hazy Hideaway, they have what you need with the proper ampunt of respect in their voice.

Pushy sales staff that try to upsell everything in the world on you. Cant even take a drag off my vape in the store without it causing a ruckus. Whats the point of a vape shop if it isnt a vape friendly environment? I dont get it. My money will go elsewhere.
