During my recent visits to your establishment to receive services, I have consistently observed unprofessional conduct from the front desk staff, particularly from a blonde haired short women. She has been openly discussing and making negative comments about other staff members in a manner that has made me uncomfortable as a client.I believe that such behavior is not only unbecoming of a front desk representative but also reflects poorly on the overall image of your organization. As a client, I value a positive and respectful atmosphere when receiving services, and the current behavior of the front desk staff is contrary to these expectations.

Horrible place to go. Worse massage ever, I have pre paid services and I was sent to any location for services. They found my package and this location didn’t honor it. They charge my credit card against my will. So thirsty for money. The massage was a waste of time as well. They make you believe they are a franchise “club “ but they are not.

I love having the membership because it is so convenient, the only down side is it is so hard to ever book my appointment. I always have to book a month in advance and if i do need a last minute appointment it’s most likely not an option. The staff is great the massages are very enjoyable! I just wish they had more availability

I’ve been to this location multiple times and have consistently had good facials with Lauren R. Today, I was offered an upsell for a product that was sitting on the counter when I exited. I declined the upsell, and now suddenly I’m told I have to pay a surcharge for my service. The person, who claimed to be the manager, could offer no written explanation for this sudden change. I’m sure there is some kind of commission gained for selling the products, and since I didn’t bite, they found another way to charge me. I wish I could add a photo showing this “policy”, but as I said, they could not provide anything that justified this new fee.

I signed up at another location. That location has issues with parking availability. I called the Wicker Park location and was fortunate enough to have had Gabriella field my call - and to find out there is on-site parking!!At my original store, I had already booked out for multiple months in advance. I had not had the chance to try out other therapists at my former location, but walking three blocks prior to and after a massage isn’t my idea of relaxation.Gabriella took the time to discuss my needs in a therapist. Additionally, she was able to forecast and set appointments with 3 different therapist who fit my criterion given my preferences.Being in the hospitality industry for 27 years, I can spot amazing customer care even over the phone. You can hear her smile in her voice, and she genuinely enjoys being an advocate for clientele to be matched up with the right therapists.Stay tuned for another review once I’ve had a few under my belt.To whomever fields these reviews, I hope you recognize Gabriella’s added value to your franchise. The world could use more humans on the other end of the phone with the attributes of this customer service specialist.Cheers!

I booked an appointment at Massage Envy Wicker Park over 30 days in advance as a birthday gift for my husband. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by a last-minute cancellation on their end. The spa called to let me know that my therapist could not make the appointment, and the only alternative offered was to rebook me for a different day. Extremely disappointing.

I just had a great massage with Joseph V. A phenomenally intuitive massage therapist! I instantly felt calm and relaxed. They were strong yet gentle, kind and professional. Also suggested some stretches to help maintain my problem areas at home. Thanks, Joseph!

Cant get appointments without booking well in advance and even when you do this, they cancel on you. I booked 4 appointments well in advance to ensure I got the times that work for me, and theyve cancelled 3 of the 4 over the past few months. I have 11 credits that Ive been unable to use. Just cancelled my membership that I have had for more than 15 yrs due to this constant problem with booking. Not worth it.

My last massage was terrible and too rough. I cancelled my monthly membership of $85 just to still be charged after cancelling because it wasn’t 10 days before the billing cycle but here we are a month later and I was just charged again from a place I no longer wish to visit. The employees are clearly not doing their job why am I still a member and getting charged?

This was my first time at this location and I was extremely impressed! I have had services done at other Massage Envys but this was my first time at the Wicker Park location and I have to say everyone was professional, clean and knowledgeable. I had Michelle for a facial and she was wonderful! I signed up for the ME membership and cant wait to come back every month!

Ive had a membership at this location for over at year, and its been fantastic. My massage therapist, Elizabeth, is professional, welcoming, and has always catered to my needs. The rooms are clean and neat, and the staff is always welcoming. The have a nice waiting area with drinks. Prices are fair and comparable to other similar businesses.

Good massages, unprofessional staff and manager.My girlfriend went into the Bucktown location for a massage on September 10th and the massage itself was great. She realized pretty much right after she left that Massage Envy had charged both her card and mine (the person who ran the card stated incorrectly that my card didnt go through). Annie went right back to the location and they said that theyd let their manager know and that shed reach out. We never heard from the manager, so Annie followed up in early October. When Annie called again, she got the same response and the manager never followed up.Its now been 2 months since they made the original mistake. Mistakes happen! Life is hard. Its a pandemic. But when you make a mistake, especially when it costs a social worker $150, the onus is on the business to make it right.We called again today after weeks of emailing them to no avail and FINALLY got the manager, Chrissy, on the phone. She took no ownership for the mistake and told me that we didnt give them the information they needed in our screenshots of the charges-- one of them didnt have the card number in the snip. Had they responded to our emails in anything close to a semblance of timely manner, we would have happily provided additional information. The manager was not at all apologetic on the phone, and did not seem to care that her team didnt have the professionalism to sort this simple issue out in the 2 months since it happened.Not only that, she couldnt even refund me the second tip (we paid it twice) because she needed to put in a work order for it. She said shell follow up, but I wont hold my breath. I want my $36 back, Chrissy

Used to love this place before new management. New manager didn’t honor multiple credits I had when she took over. Lena was the most spectacular therapist, but is now gone. Between the two concerns, I doubt I’ll go back.

The staff at the front desk are wonderful, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the services. You feel very welcomed as soon as you step in the door. I get massages and facial services done here and there is a reason I keep going back. They are very respectful about your comfort level and always check in to make sure you are doing okay. I love coming here :)

Erin was wonderful and I highly recommend her especially for leg hip and feet issues. Have had 6 massages and she is the best. Otherwise, they seem to have children working there and answering the phone. Different answers depending on who you talk to. Membership means nothing really, everything is extra money. Great massages skip membership

I first tried to go to this location over a year ago. I told them I was pregnant. They acted so supportive and congratulatory. I scheduled an appointment, filled out an extensive form in paper detailing my due date and all my medical conditions. When I finally got called back into the room, the man was annoyed and frustrated at me that I didn’t schedule a prenatal massage. When I told him that I had written all the information on the sheet, he said- I didn’t read that. He refused to do the massage on me and I was not charged for the service. Despite my better judgement, I made another appointment tonight to get a massage. I explained to the person scheduling that I had an appointment right till the time of my massage. She said, “ no problem, just grab the stuff to fill out before so you will be ready right at 8.” I tried to do exactly that. I even called on my way over to make sure that they would have the papers ready- two phone calls just rang and rang. No one picked up, no message- just the recording about a stretching massage offering. When I arrived, they had no papers for me to fill out- apparently they had transitioned to iPad. She couldn’t find a solution for me to provide them with the information I had previously filled out in great detail. I told them I could not be back until 8pm and that we would have to get started late. When I arrived at 8pm- the woman was very blunt and uncaring. She said the time I took to fill out the paperwork would come out of my massage time. I informed her that I would not be paying for the that they would not be providing me a service. She told me to leave or she would call the police. I was dumbfounded. I get massages all across the city and I have never had that level of disrespect and more importantly lack of any customer service. She conceded and verbally told me that she would not charge me and I left. I am a hardworking mother of two with back and neck pain. I am overworked and stressed. If this profile fits you in any respect- DO NOT go to massage envy. There is no customer service, it is not relaxing or therapeutic environment. Icing on the cake- when I came home, I saw charge for 161 dollars on my Bank of America statement ( by the way the service was only 50 or 60 dollars!) We tried to call corporate office and the local store and there was no answer. My husband drove back to try and get an answer. The woman who claimed to be the clinic manager said she decided to charge me after I left and asked my husband to leave or she would call the police. This whole scenario was ridiculous and unnecessary. This is what you get when you go to massage envy- they proved this to me not once but twice. Please do not make the same mistake I did.

I went today for my first time and I will definitely be going back. Britt knows what shes doing and gave me exactly what I needed, shes awesome. I feel great!!! Atmosphere is excellent and the place is very clean. The staff is very friendly.

Ahhhh.... first time here and they were 5 stars all around. The young lady who greeted me and went over paperwork was very professional and friendly. The facility was spacious and clean and included parking which is always an issue in Chicago (make sure you dont leave the lot before or after - your car WILL get booted). I had Ray for a 60min deep tissue massage. The only thing better than an hour massage is getting one by a tall, handsome man! :) It was easily one of the best massages Ive had and he was extremely professional and easy to communicate with - I was at totally ease and his combination of massages technique and use of stretching was perfect for my needs. I highly recommend Ray and this location!!

I received a massage from Joseph. He was very knowledgeable, professional and gave a great therapeutic massage. Prior to massage, he did an evaluation of my posture to determine what areas might need particular attention. He is one of the best therapist I ever had and Ive had a lot.

Please check your credit statements, especially if you become a member. The manager will give you verbal agreements and you walk away fine until you see your credit statement. At that point it becomes talk to the bank, bank talk to massage envy. Back and forth, no results. Waiting Manager Shantel/Chanel. The remainder massages were canceled as discussed but still being billed wasnt. #WatchYourStatement
