Had an amazing Friday Night Lights with my friends at Roscoe’s. We got amazing last minute seats to sit in the front row and got to chat with the awesome Naysha Lopez during breaks from the streaming of season 16 of Rupaul’s Drag Race . The service was super quick and friendly. Also super spacious and clean. Would love to come back and try the food.
I love love love, did i say love? I LOVE ROSCOES ! first of all, i was able to meet the lovely banana 🍌 queen Nymphia Wind (she’s a pleasure) thanks to Roscoes i was able to meet one of my favorite drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race! the viewing party and Friday Night Lights are an absolute MUST to go to!! it gets very crazy but everything about these events are absolutely worth it !! and can i just say the food is absolutely delicious, and drinks are so refreshing here. Roscoes is my go to for a lovely night out! It does get expensive during these big events so just know you’ll have to pay a door fee, but for a regular good time at the bar is also a must ✨thank you Roscoes Tavern !
I literally never leave a review on any location before but this situation warrants one. I was there for market days, having a good time. Suddenly, this white boy profile me and accused me of taking his phone. I don’t even live in Chicago, and i voluntarily have them check my bag, however the bartender decided to take the guys word and called the cops on me. Never in my life did I ever had a run in with the cops, but for this situation I was literally grabbed by the cops and dragged out of the bar. All because as as a black man was racially profiled by a white guy and the establishment decided to believe him. With o evidence what’s so ever.
My friend and I had a night to kill while in Chicago to see a band we love so we picked a random place to go have a drink and we could never have imagined how much fun we would have! The atmosphere of this place is electric and so inviting and we were so happy this is where we picked to go. Tyrone was an absolute gem of a bartender and an amazing human being who made some fire drinks and the entertainment was top notch. Definitely check it out if you ever get the chance! We ended up staying all night and had a blast.
This iconic LBGTQ+ bar is a must stop for anyone visiting Chicago. We arrived early on Friday (around 7pm) for the Rupauls Drag Race watch party. There were 3 special guests from Canadas Drag Race and it was an intimate chat with the queens while we watched an episode of the Down Under version. I was honestly surprised there werent more people for this event but they arrived later in the evening for the Drag performances. During the watch party you were able to grab a seat to watch comfortably and there was staff to take your drink and food orders. I wish I wouldve taken more pictures of the food, the corn bites were my favorite. After the watch party you can stay there until the evening for the Drag performances or you can also leave and come back. If you do leave make sure you get your hand stamped for faster re- entry. When we came back for the Drag performances the venue was PACKED! They have a patio but strict no smoking rules, you will get kick out.Overall this place was amazing, you can get everything from food, drinks, bingo, enterTAINTment, and great service. I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of Drag Race to stop by on Friday for the watch party which also streams on YouTube.
DO NOT COME HERE AT NIGHT! My friend was robbed on the dance floor and my other friend was drugged to the point where he passed out - atmosphere is good and the bar should be fun but this place seems to attract terrible people. Went to report the robbery and multiple other people were already talking to the bouncers about being robbed there yikes.
In Chicago for a week so thought wed check out Roscoes Tavern in boys town. We only popped in on a Wednesday afternoon, so it wasnt busy. Great selection of alcohol and bar snacks/food. The place is really welcoming with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. We plan go try over the weekend. So will update:)Popped in several more times since my original review. Its a cool place with great music. Would definitely recommend visiting
I love Roscoes in terms of music and drinks, but other than that, I never experienced worse customer service. Everytime I go, everyone that works there seems like they want to be somewhere else. I emailed two weeks ago for a request for a song to propose to my partner to in their club and they have ignored me. Now when I call, their phones dont work. So they care less to help their customers. Again, worse customer service I have ever experienced. Wow, follow-up, they emailed back because they saw this and said they would not assist me because of this. Great management, never go here!
The customer service sucks.Lakeview Run club comes here after the runs.I was in line with a friend who was getting a meal, I asked them for a cup of water, and they said, we have pitchers for that over there. I said, they said its policy I was like ok. The bar tender, wasnt the nicest, but he wasnt nearly as rude as the bouncer.I was sitting outside at the table, after leaving, resting, trying to decide if I want to come back in and the bouncer, from behind his desk inside by the doors, comes out, snaps his fingers and barks at me, in the rudest, snottiest, jerkiest voice possible how they dont allow people to sit there.I told him I was from run club, and he snapped at me something like still not allowed, and I laughed and said ya cuz theres a lotta people here sarcastically and he had no sense of humor, he just snapped back at a customer.Talk about unpleasant.Ill still come since thats where we go after run club, but I hope we start going somewhere else ASAP
The food was delicious, and the ambiance was great, i was there for a rupauls drag race watch party and it was awesome. Many thanks to our server Carlos who went out of his way to make sure we were having a good time!
I came here as a stop on my Chicago bucket list. It was a Sunday funday but I was literally followed around by a small staff member who had an issue with where I stood, where I charged my phone, where I smoked. It’s not first timer friendly, just go there absolutely ripped so you won’t feel awkward.
Ive been here several times throughout the years, and tonight was simply bogus. The bartender had an issue because I asked for water for most of my group (they had been drinking a while at this point). I ordered 2 drinks and 4 waters, and he was very bothered by how many waters I ordered. When I asked for a refill for water, he told me he had served me too much water and needed to serve paying customers. I have never been to a bar that was not happy to serve water to their patrons and instead acted like it was a burden to them. Seriously, stay away if you need to drink water between drinks.
We made a reservation at 2 PM on Saturday for Drag Brunch. Our server Korra was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. I had the bottomless mimosas and the Hangover Bruschetta. We also had the loaded fries which were delicious but a bit ambitious. I could not finish my bruschetta because I was already so full. One thing I would do differently is choose to sit inside. We missed out on much of the show sitting outside unfortunately.
Love Roscoe’s and come often hence I’m a lakeview resident. Roman wasn’t the most pleasant bartender I’ve ran into…. when asked for the food menu I was told I have 15mins to order (which I understand the kitchen closing) but my friend who was with me asked “for food?” Roman then said “ON THIS MENU you have 15mins” very condescending. Then asked well do you want anything? My response was nothing, he had to be waved down from my friend to get an order in. Very disappointing when I come here so often but also to have a nice night out in my local bar on a Monday. Bryce would have never treated me that way!
Fun gay bar. Great music to dance to and plenty of eye candy. Lots of space to hideaway, hangout, and chat with friends. I liked how they have an outdoors area to be able to get fresh air! Cover charge isn’t too bad.
Fantastic dancing, drinks and performance. Can get super crowded, and trying to get to the coat check can be a bit of a journey since there isnt an established queue.
Bryce was a total d-bag to us and two other patrons while we were there, yet he was friendly with the table behind us who were clearly smoking weed. We finished our drinks and left. We won’t be back!
I went to this gay nightclub and it was a really fun atmosphere. Everyone was super welcoming and you felt very comfortable whether you were at the bar or on the dance floor. I will say that I got my phone stolen here by pickpockets however, I was able to recover it later on. I do not blame the tavern because it was not their fault however, I worn and caution people when they are going out to any nightclub in Chicago.
Valeria is such an amazing bartender! She was able to give great recommendations of nights to come and fun things to do around Boystown. 10/10!
My first gay bar, and Ive been coming back ever since. My favorite place to be and to go out on a weekend. Super cheap drinks ($6 well drinks) and incredible rotating DJs with two rooms you can choose from - the front room which is a lively bar with upbeat pop, or the back which has more of a house/pop remix feel and the dancefloor and laser lights. If youre in town visiting and want to sample the queer nightlife, Id highly recommend these folks!
Went to watch Rupauls Drag Race for the night and wound up having the best night I had in a long time.Monique Heart and Mercedes were there to chat during commercials and had a Q&A after. It was so fun and love being able to go somewhere I feel welcome. The bartenders are super nice and they have $3 draught nights so its hard to have a bad night there. Will be coming back many times in hopes to see more of my favorite Queens from drag race.
I love coming to Roscoes! The staff is always so friendly and if you have not had the food here you are missing out!
Normally a wonderful spot but unfortunately this time around the front host for brunch was very unfriendly and rude still love this bar but the rudeness was definitely unusual for the Roscues
Pathetic management that is not here to support gay nightlife, but to forcibly dqueeze every penny you have in order to give the top mangaement 50 more dollars per month, Its pathetic
Immediately got turned down because “our IDs look fake”. They are not. I suspect it is bc we are 21 and I am a trans man. I don’t know. This place does not feel safe for tourists. I was really excited to be at my first gay bar, being from Alabama. But whatever.
Super fun, one of the mid to better bars in boystown. If they have a drag show the music and dancing is better than when there isnt one, so that sets the vibe for the night. Drinks are priced okay for Chicago standards, they had a good deal on jello shots when i went that did a good number on me
Been there many times and ALWAYS have a great experience! The Bartenders are great and the servers are friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu.If you’re looking for good food and a fun night…. Roscoe’s is the place to go!
We attended Roscoes after a drag show/brunch at Lark down the street. Roscoes has a great atmosphere and amazing staff! We grabbed some $2 beers and some cherry Jello shots from the cute and friendly bartender. Awesome music and fun vibe! Cute fellas of every type were in attendance. Danced a bit when the dance floor opened and had a wonderful time! Ill be back with friends again! Cheers :)
Ripping ppl off at pride and taking advantage of ppl with high prices and excessive cover. Lost my business for life. Byeeeee
Its been several years since Ive been here. This was suppose to be an enjoyable part of closing out celebrating my birthday celebration w my straight friend, she suggested going here. The door person was a young brat w no personality but I guess bouncers arent suppose to be friendly to elders. Was he discriminating because we werent fine young things? Or because he assumed we were a straight couple? Dont assume. Whatever...The bartneder was a different story. Friendly and made a good Manhattan for me. I dont think Ill ever return though. I try to support LGBTQ+ establishments but its difficult if one doesnt feel welcome when one first walks in the door. We ended up going to Martys in Andersonville, where we were treated w respect, friendly service, and great drinks. It makes me wonder if all the Gay Bars in Lakeview/Boys Town are as bad. I think Ill stick to Andersonville and the far Northside.
I don’t write reviews often, but the door staff was so incompetent and rude that I feel compelled to warn others. Was visiting from out of state with friends and was really excited to go to Roscoe’s. We had been there earlier in the night and had a decent experience, but left because no one was dancing(literally empty dance floor). We were seated and ordered food and alcohol with no issues. Payed and tipped. Returned later the same night and the same bouncer immediately called his manager over who insisted my ID was fake and told me to call the cops if I wanted it back. I called the cops and they then made my group wait outside in the cold for an hour. Manager was arrogant, rude, and never apologized for saying my real ID was the fakest fake he’d ever seen in his 15 years of experience. Would not recommend going here with an out of state ID, especially a Michigan ID. Literally heard him say “If it turns out not to be legit come back and tell me,” to the cop. On the other hand the two officers who assisted me were very polite and helpful. Did not expect as a Black woman to have a better experience with Chicago PD than Roscoe’s. Very disappointing.
My first time to Boystown would have been anticlimactic if it wasnt for Roscoe’s. Their service from beginning to end made me think it was a Chicago standard. Afterward went to almost every bar that night and by the time we made it back home we wished we would have just stayed there. We will definitely be coming back soon.
What bar does not carry Grand Marnier? How do these people make a top shelf Long Island? Do they put Triple Sec on top shelf alcohol? I would assume so since they dont have this orange liqueur.
Boring drag shows / boring queens shawn the drag recruiter or promoter which ever one he wants to be called needs to bring some queens back like iammoheart mizakeriachanel, alyssaedwards_1 because its now 2024 and it needs to be better roscoes never raise the bar when it comes to the queens they book. queens who honestly dont turn it besides batty which i love batty so this does not apply to batty davis! but the rest its a chop 👎🏽 and its just all FACTS this iswhy i stay home until i see some queens who actually performs on a flyer.
I come here mainly for the RuPauls drag race watch parties and they are so so fun, even though they are crowded. Would definitely recommend buying a seat on the floor if you can (for the watch party). The bar food is solid and the pricing on the drinks is pretty much what you would expect.
Maybe the worst bar in boystown. The bouncer assaulted me and then haggled me and I felt so unsafe that I had to leave before really going in. This was supposed to be an inclusive fun place but their security ruined the atmosphere
The hosts ignored us when we walked in. They were incredibly rude and told us theres no way we could be seated. They sat us when we showed them our reservation, but the whole interaction was generally unpleasant. Not the most friendly place if youre from out of town. Table service was fine.
Best mac m chz bites Ive ever had 🥹
This is my first review on google, but Im so disappointed in my experience last night at Roscoes Tavern I had to write something to see if things can change back to how it was before the pandemic. Before the pandemic a few things about Roscoes made it stand out. 1) it was usually free before 11. 2) they had an awesome dance floor that was usually packed with a little mini stage on the side that allowed folks to show off a few moves and everyone was always great about sharing the space. 3) I felt this kept the bar side the more chill side where the music was maybe more top 40 so you could go over there and dance and Chill. Last night was none of those things. There was a cover which was 11, and covered the drag show we didnt know was even happening. Figured maybe we came to close to 11pm or somehow missed the cut off but now, it was 10:50 when we arrived and there was a cover. No mind, I dont mind helping out. Then we got there and the dance floor was packed with people just standing around because the drag show was... a drag. We attempted to watch the show but it was just people talking. No laughter, no dancing, really nothing at all. They had put a huge stage in the dance floor and put up pipe and drape which made the space smaller. No matter, dance floors are supposed to be packed, but no entertainment? Did we miss all the dancing and singing and laughing? So we went to the other side where we saw other similar groups of people searching phones for another option. Some we saw eventually across the street at Progress Bar. And dont get me wrong, I love a good drag show. Im a musical theater and Brittney Junkie. TRUST ME, I work in the entertainment biz and I love a good show... but no one was dancing, and each time we looked at the bar TV which had the Drag show on it just looked like people where standing around. No clapping, no moving, it seemed stiff. No matter, its almost midnight, no way they will be doing this all night. They gotta open up the dance floor. NOPE, next thing we see if 3-4 more drag queens being rushed back to the stage and hear someone yell at them that they are on soon. Geez, so maybe they might let people dance for an hour at the club on a friday night. We left. At the 11 at the door, and decided anywhere was better than Roscoes. Sad, friday seems like a busy night and a great before and the dance floor and bar always seemed packed. Perhaps I came over on a bad night? We were there for 90 min trying to wait it out, and maybe when we looked back at the drag show we just missed the big moment or the big laugh? Maybe if they just made you pay for the drag show and had a ticket sales between the bar and the dance floor? Hey, what if people could still go and enjoy the bar, and after 11 everyone pays cover. No matter, probably wont be going there again anytime soon, when I used to go there weekly.
I have been going to this place for many many years. Havent been back in a while. They added a food menu sometime ago. Its pretty incredible. The chicken sandwich was delicious. My French 75 was lovely.
Roscoes is great. Love the bartenders and theres always a good crowd. But the music is pretty bad in the back on the dance floor. Front bar has way better music selection imo.
I can never decide between here and sidetrack as the number one bar in Chicago but highly recommended with the amazing atmosphere and better staffI wish I can keep leaving reviews for this place! Typically I only leave reviews when I feel like people should avoid an establishment this place is the opposite this place deserves as much business as it can handle the professionalism and how awesome the staff are makes this place easily one of the best gay bars in the country
I am love coming to Roscoe’s for Disney bingo on Wednesdays, but since starting work very very early, I haven’t been able to go in a while. However, I went to their Saturday drag brunch for the first time last weekend and it was AMAZING. The performers and emcee were awesome, music was fun (although a little too loud for my delicate ears), and brunch was delicious. Thanks so much ladies and gents and enby pals! I had a great time!
Visited Chicago this past weekend and we had to check out Roscoes! We had such a fun time Friday night, we had to come back for drag brunch on Saturday. The atmosphere was wonderful and staff was super friendly. The food and drinks were also great! Definitely will be returning in the future.
I’ve gone there twice so far. Once was a Wednesday for Black Girl Magic! It was amazing. The girls are friendly and the music was on point. They were even nice about letting us stay to the very last minute possible. I also went on a regular Friday night. The music was not as great....too much techno....and many of the drinks were pure sugar. The margarita and fries, however, were delicious! I would recommend Wednesday events, but for weekends I must try again. NOTE don’t park on Halsted after midnight because it’s a tow zone.
A lot has changed over the years ... service and crowd are more polished and smooth than ever before ... great place to meet mid 20s to 40 crowd, especially visiting out of towners... recommend as a place to meet your friends and start your night before heading out to explore more adventurous and locally flavourful spots on Chicagos pink bar and nightclub scene. Warning.... beware of wedding parties and party busses. Game nights can also be tough.
Drinks were fair priced and strong, the drag performances were entertaining, and the cute bar back was fun to look at. Really cool place to us....this was our 1st time to boystown but we had a great guide....
Been here with friends (and family) enough times to make a decision. I havent tried the food extensively, and only been early enough to try the cocktails once BUT... Roscoes has contributed to many great nights every time I have gone. $6 for a well drink is not too bad considering I have paid $6 for just a beer in more bars than I care to count. Atmosphere is always fun, drag shows are a blast to catch, and their are several bars all around so I have never caught myself waiting around for a drink. I would definitely reccomend this for a fun night out.
No thanks dirty bathrooms and charging $15 cover charge just to pay for overpriced drinks and take advantage of the gays. Would rather go across the street where Sidetracks never charges a cover and the bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve seen at a gay bar!
Lets be honest if youre a bartender know how to keep on track when it comes to perform customer service. If your a bartender learn how to open your eyes and take orders in order. Slowest bartender ive ever seen. Then again it is a weekday I dont know how it is on weekends. Poor review dont recommend that bartender.
The rudest staff I’ve ever encountered at a bar. Mean and angry at the world from the start. Imagine paying $5 to walk into this overcrowded hellscape.
So much fun! Place is big, music is pretty good, have a dance floor, an indoor room and also a patio. The prices are reasonable. Vibe is really good, and stuffs are so friendly and nice people. I loved it!
This is such a fun little spot. The servers definitely know whats good on the menu. We were put in the back, but didnt feel like we were forgotten about. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The tables are really distanced for plenty of area to walk without getting close to others. It was fun to have the music videos playing on all the tvs throughout the night. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Come here to drink or party but not to eat. Service from waiter was virtually nonexistent.
So much fun for a night out even during quarantine. Theyve really done a great job in the past year ensuring the property is safe and clean while also fun and entertaining. The wait staff is always the best and the drinks are so good. So much fun to sit back and watch drag race on a Friday night. A bar that truly lives up to its name.
Im sure nobody actually reads or cares considering were limited to options in boys town, and as a content creator that is constantly reading reviews of places I can tell reading these reviews are short and straight to saying how great this place is a straight up pool of spam of people that were asked to write a nice review. But quite honestly Ive never felt so disrespected as I did at this establishment. They have a girl security guard that thinks she can verbally harass people because she works there. As someone that lives in the neighborhood and feels that Roscoes is a safe place, this behavior should be unacceptable and when I brought up that she didnt have to speak to me in any tone, she made the decision to call for back up had like 5 men tell me whatever she says goes After she stood there yelling at me, arguing like shes not an employee calling me insecure and making fun of my outfit. Not only did I once get charged over $80 dollars here, but they have people working that genuinely dont care about having you feel welcomed, When I showed the receipts of my $12 purchase that was over charged by $80 dollars management made it such a hassle to get my money back. I had to go into the establishment on my down time, ask for the manager, had to get an email, then two weeks later I got my money back. Its one thing after another with this place. Really Really unfortunate that they have people working that honestly dont care. I get that were limited to options so people will come here no matter what, but wow.
All this place needs is better customer service! Most staff are rude and obnoxious. Tell me why it’s ok for bar runners to grab clients coats and purposefully throw them on the ground? She refuse to give me her name and instead rolled her eyes and convinced another little man (Nathan) bar runner to try and kick us out of the bar for no reason at all. Very entitled white people if I do say so myself. Clearly, they hate theirs jobs and take it out on the customers. Then the manager (Kyle) tries to convince me that the coat incident was surly an accident. Trying to gaslight what I saw. What poor service, I wasn’t even there for 20 minutes.
Friend was punched in the face and management did nothing about it. Manager on duty that night said “why would I believe you?”. Roscoe’s is supposed to be a safe place for the community but shady management makes it anything but.
A classic establishment. A dance floor and also more quiet bar space to talk. Really friendly staff and great drink specials. Attracts diverse, mostly LGBT persons. Music is pretty standard top 40 remixes. Raising cover prices on weekend worry me.
Fun place! Went out for drinks 🍸🍸. Quick service, affordable, staff and guest in good mood. Would recommend visiting
Easily one of my favorite spots in Chicago. Good food, good drinks (though they are a tad weak), and lots of fun events!
Was there for the pageant! Love the vibe and the food was amazing.
This is one of my favorite bars in Boystown. I think the music here is all pretty good and they dont change it up too quickly so you can really get into your dancing. It has a few different rooms and multiple bathrooms so you not waiting all the time.Roscoes is definitely a hub for RPDR drag shows. The also do drag brunches. The well vodka soda uses decent vodka for their well and is fairly priced. Lastly, they have a coatcheck in the winter.
I got the crunchy chicken wrap and it was sooo good that Ill definitely be bringing a guest with me next time I visit. I ate out on the patio where the atmosphere was pretty nice. My server was also attentive and checked in on me frequently.I showed my ID and that I was fully vaxxed in order to be seated, which I think is a good move.Unfortunately didnt take pictures, but maybe next time.
My girlfriend and I went to pride at the end of June. My girlfriend had two drinks and within 30 minutes to a hour she was blackout/getting sick on the side walk. Someone spiked her drink and she was obviously drugged. We are lucky we were together because she was a mess. Its sad to think that someone would actually do this on such a day since it is about equality and loving one another. Avoid the back by the dance floor. This is where it occurred. This is not the first time I have heard this happening at this club. If you want to go dancing, I would recommend drinking somewhere before heading there. I would not drink at this venue. Also sad that my girlfriend and I actually enjoyed this place but we will not be coming back. If I was the owners or managers of this bar, I would take this inquiring very seriously because the best marketing is word of mouth. You can grantee everyone who I speak to will be hearing about our awful experience here.
Very much a cornerstone bar of Boystown. They have been around for quite some time. It’s a big location, consisting of 2-4 bars operating on any given night. Their dance floor has great lighting and music. It can get kinda crowded and rowdy but if that’s the night your looking for then it’s perfect on the weekends. They have great Britney nights on the last Sunday of each month, as well as many other great rotating events. If you’re looking to see some of the biggest drag queens from Drag Race you’ll probably see them here. Most of the staff is really nice but sometimes you get a stinker who is a little stuck up, such is the case on most of Halsted. Always worth a drop in if you’re in Boystown for a night!
Amazing vibe, and super packed on a Thursday! The drag shows are good fun and FUNNY, the crowd friendly. How to I transport this place back to Sydney?
It’s fine. Honestly, don’t expect much. The epitome of resting on your laurels.
Went for an event the other night - the staff is always great! However, the management should figure out some way of making events a better experience before the actual event. I stood the in the same place for 65 minutes before a show while watching people push their way to the front under the guise of my friend is over there or carrying arm-loads of drinks that were being spilled on me and others as they tried to navigate the tightly packed dance floor. This happened several times. Who could blame the honest ones though? If you left to get a refill, your space was gone. For the dishonest kids, well... teaching human decency isnt the establishments responsibility, but I do think they can do a better job of preventing situations like those that I and other incurred.
Not worth all the money or hype. The cover charge at the door is too high for what they offer. The drinks are watered down and the music isnt good. Bare minimum for good bar music is to at least play Billboard top 40 of the year. But all they play is the same techno music. Please go elsewhere youll have a better time!
My first time there was great, I caught the tail end of Roscoes Drag Race and was sad I didnt get there earlier. Like a TARDIS, its bigger on the inside with some fun and spacious back areas and a patio.
One of the best spots in boystown in my opinion!! It’s so fun here and the $2 drink special was amazing lol
We went in around 10 PM knowing they were closing at 11, hoping to get a few drinks. We were seated right away, but it took 15 min for someone to take our drink order. Then another 15 to get the drinks. Our server never came back to check on us and they were doing table service due to the pandemic. We had to flag him down to get our check. The servers/bartenders didnt seem overly busy so there really wasnt an excuse. The bar could have easily gotten 3 rounds of drinks from us in that time if the server had been attentive, but instead they only got one.
Great dance floor, but it can get SUPER packed. It can take a while to get in and to get a drink. Music was great and the atmosphere was awesome. They also have nice and clean bathrooms! A rare find for a bar.
Came here for 31st birthday over the weekend and really enjoyed the atmosphere. My fiancé and I are huge ru Paul fans so we always love seeing them support local businesses. Hopefully we’ll make it out soon on a Friday for viewing party. Good music to vibe with as well.
I am a regular customer at Roscoe’s, I go about 2-3 times a week for watch parties, drag, brunch, and dancing. It’s a great venue and the employees are friendly and provide great service. The major issue with Roscoe’s is that the dance floor is too slippery. Last night I went to the dance floor as soon as I arrived and literally within a few steps I slid into a half death drop and really messed up my right knee. A fews ago, my friend fell really hard on his back at the front of the stage because of how wet the floor was. The bar floor was also soaked. Dear Roscoe’s management, can you please step up the clean up of the floor so we don’t hurt ourselves at your fabulous establishment? Everything else about you is five stars imo.
Definitely worth a visit. There are several different areas with different music options. In the back there is a dance floor. You can usually find a good crowd. You can get the pitcher specials on almost any night. Sunday they offer $1Miller Light beer.
Came here for a packed night to watch drag race live. We couldnt get a table or even standing room near the stage--fine. We didnt make reservations so we understood. Part way through, my partner was starting to feel sick so he needed to get air. We stepped out for a few seconds and then tried to go back in, but the bouncer wouldnt let us back in. After we had spent a lot of money on food and drink and saved our spot along the wall for an HOUR. Extremely disappointed and upset. What a waste of time and money.
It’s a nice gay club and bar. The cover was $5 but they charged my credit card $6. The show stage was a bit small and hard to stand and watch. I wish it was larger with a second floor for people to stand and watch. Enjoyed Nina West and Silky Nutmeg’s drag show. The wait was long between the two acts though!
Visited last night with a few of my friends. Marq was our server and was very friendly and attentive. The drinks and food were delicious. I would recommend getting a wrap. Food service was slow and could likely be improved. Marq did a great job and we would likely be back
Ive gone to this bar for many years, and they have obviously had different staffing throughout. Ive generally never had a problem there myself till now, but know other people who have had issues with rascist bouncers. Its 2022 and this is an issue in a queer space of all places. I was told I couldnt sit at a table to eat cuz I ordered an appitizer/drink from the bar. People grab drinks from the bar and move to tables all the time, its as if I wasnt a paying costumer cause of zero problems. It was odd because they made it seem like it was NO way I could get a table at all even though it was more than enough. I tipped everyone that served me and thats how they treat people? This bar is rascist and it shows in the music they play and the crowd they cater to.Its is some really nice bartenders tho I will say that.
Staff gave off mean girl energy and bad vibes. Go to Scarlet or Sidetrack instead if you wanna have a good time.
I was very very disappointed with the service i have experienced today. We waited 20 minutes for a table for two which was not a problem. However once we got inside nobody was approaching our table to serve us. I had to get up off the table and go tell someone that we had been sitting for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come and take our order. After that someone was finally was sent to our table to take our order. We ordered appetizers drinks and what food we wanted for after the appetizers. It took 25 minutes to just get our drinks and our appetizers came another 28 minutes after getting our drinks. I asked the server what was taking so long and he said that they were busy. We can clearly see a whole bunch of empty tables. Roscos maybe you should get more employees in the kitchen and on the floor. The amount of time we waited for everything is unacceptable.
Ive lived in boystown for five years and Clayton is the the best face Ive ever seen behind the bar. As a lesbian, Ive never felt as welcomed in a bar as I did by Clayton (wednes Jan 18th) despite being a bar rat in boystown for half a decade
I had a friend visiting from Colombia and he wanted to experience Boystown so we headed out on Super Bowl night.Drinks are bit watered down, but $12 pitches arent a bad deal. Around 10 there was a good size crowd at the front and by the pool table area.We posted up in the back near the dance floor where there are one or two bars close by. The music is eclectic and the bartenders are friendly. Will return for more $12 pitches. =)
While they had run out of the cider that I love, we had gone through a few different drinks that were enjoyable. Sadly, they were also out of R-Rods! So 2 of my faves and still 5-stars... because the service, food, and Wednesday night Disney Bingo are amazing!
Far too expensive. And I waited in line after being shood away from a particular service area. Still waiting 10 minutes later, that bartender saw me waiting, but commenced serving others, who clearly had just showed up. They do not have a good process for serving customers. The music and video mixing was excellent, but I would not return here unless insisted upon by friends.
Very disappointed! Bartenders are extremely rude. I approached the bar with the bartender saying “sup” lol. I then asked if they had a certain brand and he rolled his eyes and just points at it. I guess he forgot to use his words. He then pours the shots and continues to talk to his friend that he knew. I still tipped him unfortunately. I must have not been cute enough.
Amazing place to hang with friends good music amazing drinks friendly people recommend to everyone. In the summer you have to try the food is amazing wish they bring back the salmon salad it was so good. You have to check it out. Would not be disappointed. My favorite place in the summer.
Great bar in Boystown. Place is spacious and theres also a dancefloor with disco balls if youre feeling like a dancing king or queen. Im giving it 4 stars coz sometimes you have to pay for entrance fee not like the other bars across them. They got good drinks but no signature drinks or anything special. Their music is also great but doesnt have any live entertainment.
This was my first gay bar ... ever circa 19-something-something and it had been a couple decades since my last visit. Nice changes include losing the cafe and opening the floor plan and making it totally wheelchair accessible. what hasnt changed is the pretentious crowd.
Love it here, the staff are friendly! The brothers at the front always smiling. They are hearty and got abundant!I am amazing person and Amazing people loves me! what is cosmic frequency!
Very large bar, coat check available, multiple areas with different music playing, and lots of individual bars that make it pretty easy to get service quickly.
Wow, this place doesn’t know what they are trying to do. Seating inside at tables, strange, and then allowing people to stand and get drinks at the bar.Never in my life have I been yelled at for going to a service station to get a drink, but here I was. Was told we needed to get a table and have a server.Had way to many people working, no one knew what was going on.Drinks are poured exactly to the drop with some automatic bird system. And for crazy prices.Place has gone down hill. Not the same place it was 10 years ago. Sad.I guess the out of towners keep this place going.SIDETRACK FOR THE WIN.
Roscoes night club is a great venue if looking to be around a younger crowd. They have fast service, not to mention friendly staff to make for an amazing night. The only pitfall about the area is that there is no parking if you go on a busy night like Friday or Saturday. Overall, it is a great place if youre looking to jam out and dance your life away.
Came in tonight for my girlfriend’s 26th birthday. We traveled all the way from Michigan since she has never been to Chicago. We came to Roscoe’s so excited to be in Boystown in an LGBT friendly environment. Unfortunately, the person at the door instantly pocketed her ID saying it was fake after only 2 minutes of looking at it. I said it was real and that it was her birthday, and he said I could call the cops to come look at it if I was so certain. As I was calling, my girlfriend pulled out numerous other ID’s to help prove her case. Finally they agreed to give the ID back but denied us entry because of “my attitude.” I am not an angry person at all so this just really tarnished our night - shoutout to DS Tequila Co. for the free drinks after hearing our encounter at Roscoe’s!
Great bar, vibe, and service! The dance floor/DJ are a fun environment and there is an outdoor area as well as the front area are great for those wanting to have a conversation.
I love going here! There is always amazing bartenders, with awesome attitudes. I hardly ever have to wait for drinks when im at the bar. The floor is always clean because of the staff. I love the eclectic taste in music. Over all this is my favorite bar to go to when i come to boystown!
Roscoes is a good gay bar. Scenery is nice, people are lively and vibrant, and bartenders are generally nice. Security can be hit or miss. Dance floor is nice. For some odd reason theres always a weird smell by the bathrooms. Overall classic gay bar in Chicago.
The bartender was cool and for the most part the patrons were all right.I went with my girlfriend for a drink and we got a lot of stares. We were one of only two couples there.we even try to make friends with the other couple but apparently they got freaked out since they were from Indianapolis or something and left in a hurry.I would probably go back if I was desperate for a drink, but not so otherwise. The bartender Nathan was really friendly and thats probably the only reason I would go back with my girl.
I wanted to leave a quick review bc Ive had a great time at Roscoes every time Ive gone, but when I was there last wednesday I lost my phone and every staff member was SO nice helping me look for it. Then, later in the night, I was walking by Roscoes again and the host ran outside with my phone! They had found it and recognized me as I walked past. I wish I got their name so I could thank them personally, but yall really are the best!!
This is probably my favorite bar in Boystown. Its pretty big, they have a good size dance floor with flashing lights everywhere. If you come on an off night you have the whole floor to yourself to practice your moves. Coming here on a busy night? Work yourself onto the stage and dance yourself silly. Its tons of fun! Whats not to like. They also have huge names from Drag Race preform often. Love this place!
Nice people. Very busy! Fun, open-minded group, but you might get checked out a little inappropriately. Friendly staff, and I liked the different rooms and the patio. Typical popular gay spot to dance and have a drink.
I have been here a few time for simple drinks and appetizers. All the drinks are good quality and they usually hand out house shots on a friday or saturday night if its not too busy. Best bet is to pay cash, had a debit card issue here but that was relieved right away. Come here to watch ru paul by yourself or hang out with friends the staff is always attentive!
Fun, welcoming space. Music is good, drag shows are great, the management and staff are delightful. Eggs YZ is a great brunch. Love Aunty Chan, Naysha and the other hosts. Cast of performers is much more diverse now, which is great.
Went for the first time. Larger venue than it appeared to be. It had a nice vibe, music was a little dated, but played alot of the stuff I enjoy anyway. Went for funday sunday(was packed btw)later in the afternoon, had some great drink specials, especially if you go with a group. Had a small outdoor area which made for a nice change of scenery. Staff was fairly pleasant some more than others, but thats with anywhere I guess. Overall not too bad.
After showing vaccine passport and ID, I was immediately told there was a $20 cover by the same bouncer that let in about 6 of his buddies before me without charging them anything. After kindly declining, as I was walking away, the same bouncer said, “and what’s with that shirt”... guess this is the level of service to be expected when you have Regina George as a bouncer. The irony is that he looked like he picked his outfit from GAP Kids.It seems as though if you’re a local you get top service. If you’re out of town, you’ll be penalized.Go to Sidetrack instead.
The first bar I had ever gone to was this one in Boystown and I fell in love with it immediately. I enjoyed the dance floor in the back which has the heavy bass and then the front which plays Top 40s as well as some older songs which I am all for. The prics of drinks are quite reasonable but they take too long to give water!!!!! Thats all I ever want at the end of the night after dancing. They need to set pitchers of water on the side for those people who want it.
The worst service ever waiter Came to our Table 1 time and NEVER. CAME BACK After about 40mins waiting i ask a whole different waiter if he knew who are waiter was he never showed up Im Not sure if its because we were the only black people in the restaurant or WHAT but thats how i felt.. Because A group of white guys who came in about 20mins after us and sat right NEXT to Us got there drink order before we could even order... smh i Ask for Manger At the front door and no Manger came its sad that Im here visiting from out of town and trying to have a great time and this Happens customer service is the worst I would NEVER come back Here this Ruin my whole night...
Ive been a patron on roscoe tavern for close to 20 years now. Its clear after this past market days, they no longer have any standards. Its also clear that younger generations have no sense for the value of the u s dollar. The stand outside of roscoe served me melted frozen drinks. And while the bartender delivered them, AFTER paying over $60 for 4 drinks said theyre a little melted but thats ok. I thought in my head, ok, well see...I am never going out I the north side ever again. No one has standards anymore!I really dont care about the money but with the antics of most places these days; this place is garbage now too. Sad
Our group of 15 visiting from out of state chose Roscoes for lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon before a play at the Center on Halsted. We sat outside in a lovely and shaded area. The waiters were phenomenally attentive and took great care of us. The food was delicious. Thank you Roscoes for a great experience!
Always come here for some of the best drag shows in town. Also, love getting the Absolut pitchers because they are $10 and you can get drunk really quick on them. Get here early for the shows though if you want to be able to see!
I paid for bottomless mimosas at a drag brunch and got a total of only five in two hours. For $50 with a horrible bloody Mary and diner-style chicken fingers. Awful ripoff.
This place is a blast! Every five steps you take theres a bar. Its a great place because in the back theres a pretty big dance floor, they have a patio if you want to chill outside and inside theres plenty of bar space just to hang out with friends. Its a diverse mix of people. Gays, lesbians not very type specific kind of bar.
It was fun, the drag show was really good, but after that was a little bit boring, the decoration its poor, the service is ok
Its a gay bar. So its really your typical gay bar. It is a nice place to go during the week because it empties out and the pool table is always empty. Their mixed drink are questionable and i would stay away from their pineapple upside down cake shot. Also, why do they only have one stall for the womens bathroom? WHY.
I have a chicago id when i tried enter to the club the manager told me cant accept this identification. . I dont know why its a valid id from chicago. All the boystown clubs accept it.
Great place to go for a drink and meet up with some friends and be able to talk and enjoy the atmosphere or the eye candy. been going there since i was 21, tuesday they have Drag Race and its fun with Frida Lay. Saturday they open till 3am and you can also enjoy the dance floor. If you go with friends get the Pitcher Specials.
I went here last night & they were enforcing the new mask rule, I am all for safety but every 2 minutes (this is not an exaggeration) they would come over, in between sips of my drink, and yell at me to put my mask up while seated at my table. It was over the top and plain rude the way they were talking to my friends and I…. one woman kept getting in everyone’s face and was BARKING at us to enforce this policy & was shining a flashlight people’s eyes. Please be kinder when enforcing new policies that people are trying to get used to
They need to close. New mask rules are strictly enforced, but they are checking vaccine cards at the door. Throw an outside party or fundraiser- no reason to be open for business. Sam especially is rude and unprofessional. He was shaking while screaming at me to put my mask on between sipping my drink. Would not recommend.
Probably the most famous gay bar in Chicago. Friday and Saturdays are packed. Thursdays are ehhh but Scarlet is usually the most packed club on that day. $10 cover, they accept card and cash. However if you pay with card there is a small fee. There is a coat check near the restrooms. They renovated not too long ago so a nice little upgrade is nice. The back part of the place is for dancing while upfront is more of a social get a drink kind of scene. Definitely check it out if visiting boystown!
I am on the Keto Diet and do dirty keto and so I dont eat bread at all. I order a burger with no bun and extra patty. Manager came out and said Sorry we cant add a second patty to your order. We dont do that and the burger came with the bun. What a absolute waste of fun. Normally it is easy to build a keto meal. But not here. It was like they said sorry. We dont care that your trying to eat healthy. But not here ever.
Horrible coat check experience. I recommend holding on to it. First, you have to wait in line for a long time to check it. They couldnt find it when I came back to get it. They told me I had to wait. The big manager, who has no management skills, made me wait for ever and was condescending at the same time. He thought I was going to steal coats. Eventually we found someone who cares and after 45 minutes, I got it.
Honestly one of the best boystown bars. It sucks that they charge cover every Friday and Saturday but the dance floor, the drinks, and the people are great! Fun place to go out and worth it.
Roscoes was the first dance club ive ever attended. The bartender was extremely sweet and the bouncer Tyrone was the sweetest person! I appriciate him looking out for me! Thank yall for having a safe and amazing atmosphere for people to branch out and have fun!
If you are looking for fun and nice music Roscoes is a fair place to go. The service is not perfect, but, given the crazy amount of people they have in one night, its ok. The music is really good (a lot of pop songs). Just be mindful that you might have to wait a little bit in line to get in!
$2 doubles of Kettle One? Sign me up every time!
The funnel cake sundae was extraordinary and Disney bingo night was a great way to end the night!
This is a Boystown staple. The best part of this bar is the current remodel. The bar has been improved drastically. This is a must if you are a visiting tourist. This bar gives you the option to socialize in the front area or be part of the dance party in the dark back room. If you are looking to have fun, this place is a good option. #bar #gay #letsguide #boystown
I love going to Roscoes!! Nice and chill vibe in the front, party in the back, great slushes for $8 that always leave me buzzed, and there’s coat check!! The only thing that upset me is when they were closing, an employee wouldn’t let me go to the bathroom!!! Like I didn’t just pay $20 to get in there, plus my drinks.... other than that I always like to come here.
The Covid precautions here are amazing. Contactless temp taken at the door, well spaced tables outside, plastic between indoor tables facing a wall open to outside, paper towels at the door of the bathroom to use for opening the door, and they even ask for contact info for contact tracing if you agree. Plus Blaise could not be a more thoughtful or accommodating server. He put my bags inside, he got me an indoor table when temps dropped, and brought my stuff over later. I felt safe and welcomed. Also the crispy chicken and bacon wrap was delicious, as were those flavorful crispy fries.
This is the first bar I went to after moving to the area, and I fell in love with it immediately! The staff is amazing, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the $1 Miller Drafts on Sunday just sweeten the deal. You need to check this place out!
First time customer at Roscoes on 3/1/2018 to attend a RuPaul viewing party. The staff was courteous towards me the entire evening. I decided to buy a ticket for an upcoming event from Shawn (management) over the internet. I still have his correspondence in my inbox. Shawn displayed respect in his e-mail. I returned on 3/2/2018 and I was received by different staff from last night but was given the same respect.I worried that I may not have been welcomed here (straight girl at a gay bar) but I was worried for no reason. Thank you, Roscoes!CLUB TIP: When you go to see Drag Queens at Roscoes (or any club), bring a cardboard photo document mailer. You can purchase them at your local post office or mailing supply store. It helps to have this with you to keep 8x10 photos neat. Otherwise, youre going to bend, tear or spill something on your autographed photos.
Feedback, the guy at the booth wasn’t a very good salesmen’s, if fact lost sale. We didn’t want a table but he automatically asked told they aren’t seating people at 5 pm and not how he could help us. 😅😅 I just wanted some cheese sticks and of possible maybe a curb side drink to go. It was 4 of us that just wanted you to buy something even if it was to go, but we never got there.
I got there ready to have a good time and ordered 2 drinks. I left the tip line blank and gave the receipt back to bartender. Insults ensued immediately. “ After wasting my time and only ordering 1 drink you’re not even gonna tip? This is why we don’t let your kind in. Find another waiter!” All this was said and then he attempted to throw my copy of the receipt at me. Needless to say I was speechless at that point.Adding no tip was an oversight and I won’t make the mistake in boys town again but man o man was he rude! Waking up this morning the rudeness of his actions has me restless. I have never been treated so poorly in my 26 years living in Chicago and that’s saying something!
They should be more aware of the floor, they break many vessels and spill a lot of liquid, last night I went and accidentally slipped finding a piece of glass in my arm we went out and my arm began to bleed fortunately it did not affect my fistula.
Straight Guy here. Before my gay friends moved away we used to come here occasionally. I always had a good time and never felt uncomfortable. Inviting atmosphere and good drinks.
Normally I never have a issue here. The bouncer is cool, the opening Bartender nearest the door is the sweetest, you have two sections and each one plays different types of music and people are nice.
Great gay bar for groups, gay and straight. Definitely check out their $15 absolut pitchers. Multiple rooms with different vibes. Music is on point. When the weather is nicer check out their outside patio. Tho be warned of the occasional Bachelorette parties that will often invade this place for a girls night out in Boystown
They can do better with the coat checking. It took 10 min to check in and 40min to check out. Drinks are okay. Dance floor is nice. Dj is great.
Avoid this place after pride at all costs. It almost always gets shut down but that doesnt stop them from taking a $20 cover from you and then fail to tell you that once you leave you can no longer enter until after the fact. Cover charges on normal weekends are inconsistent. There are a hundred bars in boystown. Go somewhere else. The music sucks anyway.
Paid 30$ cover and 9$ a drink to get harassed and kicked out by a fat, old disgusting rent a cop for crouching/sitting on the floor of the NON SMOKING PATIO WITH NO SEATS (WHY DOES IT EXIST...?) Overpriced, overcrowded, over rated. Sadly often the only option to see big name queens. Go to town hall next door - just as much of a dump, but no cover and reasonable drinks.
I have been coming to roscoes for years. The decor has never changed, which is sad since they make a ton of money. The drinks are cheap and good. I highly recommend the long island pitchers, they get the job done and fast! you never know what hit you.
I loved the show at roscoes on friday nights they show RuPaul!!! They have commentary from queens which is really funny!! Everyone is super Covid Safe. The Servers and managers do a great job keeping everyone safe! Thank you for an amazing night out! Will be back for another show!!!
This bar CLEARLY does not know how to ID. They tried to confiscate my enhanced license and gave attitude when trying to provide additional verification. The bar next door, D.S Tequila Co., is SO much better!
If youre in Boystown and want to dance, this is the place to be--especially if you love crowds. Roscoes is always high energy and packed--definitely not for those with agoraphobia. The music selection is always current--so much so that they recently played a Britney Spears song even before it was released! Theres also pool, an outdoor patio, and places to hang out in the front. Roscoes is definitely the best gay dancing bar in Chicago.
Liz is awesome and Patrick is as well. Saturday has a cover thats not worth it. Tuesdays drag show is packed and a blast. Enjoy their great whiskery selection and slushy drinks.
Came in here because I’d read great things about it. Was with my friend, who is a woman, and we came in and stood at the bar for 15 minutes and were never acknowledged. Several other people came in after us and were served. We finally grew tired of waiting and left. I’m hoping this was a mistake and that we were not blatantly being ignored.
This used to be like a second home but the greed has really taken over. $20 cover on a Saturday night is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when you have sidetrack across the street that never charges cover and is a much bigger and better bar. I’d rather not pay an arm and a leg just to get swept up in the second bar fight of the night.
We were early to a RuPaul drag queen interview showing. Bought parking, bought drinks. Had to step outside because I was feeling dizzy with how crowded and loud it got and they would not let us back in. That is ridiculous.
Roscoes is a great location for a fun night out in boystown! It is generally packed on Friday and Saturday, but the spacious dance floor accommodates the patrons nicely. Drinks are fairly reasonably priced and can be attained moderately quickly. Nic at the door is a doll!
The ultimate club if you want to dance your night away! Came here right before the pre-pride festival on a Friday night and it was crazy. Mostly a young crowd and drinks might be a little too expensive though. But for sure worth it
Will not be supporting this establishment no longer. I was not aware they are now requiring COVID-19 proof of vaccinations in order to enter. This is not only illegal, but it is also immoral. You are here to operate a bar business; not a medical agency. It appears that you must surrender confidential and private medical information to strangers before giving them money to be patrons at their bar. Got it.
For all of my adult years Roscoe’s has remained unchanged. This was my first time back postpandemic, and Chicagoins are just as nice as ever, and definitely ready to have fun and be excellent hosts at the same time
The new layout is fantastic, its not too expensive to drink here and they have great performances. Its a must see, especially if you like drag shows.
Great DJ when we went and a really fun crowd! Its a larger bar and dance floor area, so theres more room to move around, though it does get packed during peak times.
Great fun space to dance and drink the night away. Spent the night before Pride street fest finishing partying out here and it was super worth it. Interesting young crowd with great drinks.
I have an awesome time when ever I come. The music is great, the drinks are well made. The lights are always on point. You could never have a bad time.
Roscoes is my favorite gay bar in Chicago. I have never had a bad time, with cheap and frozen drinks how can you go wrong??? With a bar up front, pool tables to play at and a dance floor in back its your one stop gay bar that everyone will love!
Over price place. 🙄 charging $25 to get in. Plus the drinks. Nop, we when to sidetrack it’s better. We were in a long line to go in, just for them to let us know that the entrance was $25. It was not a great experience.
Great place but cover fee can be on the pricier side . They okay mostly too hit mixes and edm . Would love to see more laying music atleast every now and then .
While you dont have alot of space to dance or time since most places close early but the staff is always nice so it makes up for it. Havent tried the food yet but mayb next time
Roscoes is a staple in the Chicago LGBTQ community. I always have a great time no matter what day of the week. They always have a calendar with cool upcoming events. And where else can you find a pitcher of Long Island for $12???
Roscoes is a fun time for anyone. From their amazing concoctions you can get in their pitchers to their psychedelic dance floor, this place is non stop fun. This place has great music, great, drinks, great performers (check out their drag shows), and great eccentricity. I recommend everyone try out Roscoes as soon as possible.
Roscoes dance floors is probably one my favorite places to be in Boystown. The life and energy that exists in the back room is just great. There are very few times that Ive been out in North Halsted and didnt make a stop here.
Always a great time here.
Haha this place is a whole vibe! Great staff, great location, great food and drinks. The ONLY thing is that is a little smaller, but that may be due to covid and everything has opened up since I went last so.... I guess that means I have to go back! Amazing place!!
A dynamic space with a bar in front and a dance floor in back. Theres also an outdoor space to catch your breath. It gets chaotic on certain nights, so only go if you want to be in a big crowd.
I left without picking up my Credit card and when I went back to get it none of the bartenders would search for it, they said they didn’t serve me. I spoke to every bartender in the entrance the only place I order my drink and they all dismissed me. I just gave up cause they all just blew me off and clearly couldn’t be bother to talk to each other. Also charging a cover at 9pm.
Roscoes is a staple on Halsted. Such an incredibly inclusive and fun bar to simply dance and let loose! Caters to both the cisgender and LGBTQIA crowd. Also witnessed a security guard (whose name was Adrian) dealing with a completely inebriated woman with respect and patience, even as she became combative.
They always know how to book good drag shows. Only problem is the stage is way to small and theres not a lot of room at all. Always very hot and crowded. Wish they implement big fans in there
Friendly staff and great cocktails. Jell-O shots are fun and tasty! Food menu looks good, have to go back and try some.
I love this place and the people who works there. The bartenders the cooks the hostess. This is a really awesome place u wont be disappointed. Lots of fun laugh and excitement. ❤💯
Great atmosphere, love this place. Drinks not so good, very watered down or just not enough liquor. But wont stop me from going.
Great place to dance!! First stop in boystown for a birthday party, didnt want to leave. We will definitely be coming back
Nice club/bar with amazing drinks!!!! Great drag queen shows. Awesome music videos. Definitely a great place to hang or dance 😋
Great show with Eggs YZ. Portions are large and worth your money, fries are generous.
Had a great time seeing some fantastic drag performances during Market Slayzzzz.
