A massage - especially in my case where I injured myself prior to departing to drive back to Canada, - needs patience and understanding.Absolute most incredible experience to date for me in a massage. Tiffany was magic!! She worked on my back and also Achilles allowing me to drive 9 hours back to Canada. Without seeing Tiffany, only imagine my journey would have been gruelling.Thank you so much to the whole staff and especially for Tiffany!!

I am an esthetician myself and I can honestly say Jeanette gives a phenomenal facial I would recommend her over and over again! She has a great touch, super knowledgeable and all around welcoming.

From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile and attitude! My massage therapist Marion was so knowledgeable and caring and took extra attention to my areas that were extra tense while continued to remind me to take deep breaths. Nobody has ever done that. I recommend Marion 100%!!!!!

Believe all the reviews, Amado is amazing! This was my first visit to a Massage Envy and I was very pleased. Ive gotten massages from so many places throughout the city and in other states/countries/etc. Amado was by far one of the best massage therapists Ive ever had. I would highly recommend his services. The rest of the staff was very nice, welcoming, and attentive too. All around a great experience!

Tiffany always does a great job. She is my go to therapist. Very professional. After the initial consultation done each visit, there is no chit-chat. I can just enjoy my massage. If I have a special area that needs work she will address that. I have had some therapists ask about problem areas then give me what feels like a standard massage. Thanks Tiffany!

I enjoyed visiting this Massage Envy location. I have a membership so I like trying locations in different cities. It’s smaller than I’m used to but feels intimate. I got a 90 minute massage with Marion. My experience with her was a 3/5 however, I’m sure it was due to her being new; which she did mention. I’ve been getting massages for over 10 years so I prefer seasoned professionals. If someone is just starting out with deep or firm massages you will love her. Overall, great location and I would visit again.

Mimi is an incredible masseuse who takes your feedback and listens to your needs to provide a tailored massage experience! Her pressure levels are wonderful as I require deep, and she delivers!! 100% recommend her every time!!

I am from out of town and I booked at massage envy and accidentally walked to another one that Google maps suggested. Anyways, the first location was great. I talked to the lady told what had happened. She was willing to work with me. She was awesome and was willing towork things out with me. So I called the other location, told her what had happened and tried to work things out, and they were not willing to work things out. They said it was the same has a same day cancelation, they charged my card $155. I even said I would rescheduled, they didn’t care. I am in the customer service business and that made me mad. I get that he missed out on money but they could have negotiated considering what happened.So I found another massage place. I walked around the corner and went to THE NOW. They were amazing. Go there. Plus it was cheaper.

Hailey is the GOAT for facials! Always an exceptional experience and my skin has noticeably improved since I’ve been seeing her regularly. I always leave glowing. She completes a thorough assessment of my skin and provides a relaxing and luxurious experience that is better than I’ve received elsewhere.

Had a great deep tissue massage here, Brittany made sure to address any concerns before starting and targeted my area of knots. Left feeling refreshed and so much better: highly recommend!

Ameer-Amado always delivers an amazing massage from beginning to end. He is trained to deliver the pressure you need to leave you with results. His positive attitude and professionalism definitely left me ready to reschedule before I left. Highly recommended.

I had a message from Sebastian yesterday. I Never get my massages from Men, however, due to time constraints, as well as my soreness from an intense competition, I decided to have a man administer my message. I couldnt be happier with the results. Sebastian was professional, thorough and patient. Due to an over consumption of water I had to relieve my bladder mid way through, I was so embarrassed but he handled it well and did not get irritated by me having to get up and go to the mens room.

Kindle is very rude !! I called two different times to ask for an appointment and he would say we have nothing available and hang up the phone on me !! I couldn’t even ask for a next day appointment !!What kind of customer service is this !!I highly encourage management to give him a lesson on being respectful and how to talk to customers!!

HORRIBLE customer service. Booked a massage for my fiance. He showed up and the cancelled his massage. Said the “called multiple times” but I was not contacted. When I called to inquire the front desk woman was very rude and said “I don’t know what to tell you”. Please do not give these people your money.

Was my very first experience with this location and it was not good. I tried surprising my fiancée with a massage yesterday because of all the hard work that she has been putting in lately. I set up an appointment for her for a deep tissue yesterday at around 4:15 with massage therapist Martin. He asked her to undress and that he would be back when she is done to start her massage. Well before she could get fully undressed he knocked on the door and before she could notify him that she isn’t done undressing, he barged through the door and her breasts were exposed and she had to quickly cover them with her hands. He then went on to give her a massage and talk about personal things like where he lives and what he likes to do in his free time. This conversation went on for around 15 minutes near the end of the message. I feel like this guy was very unprofessional because my fiancée came there to get a massage and relax, not to hear about his personal life and to get asked personal questions. We will definitely not be visiting this location again!

Its a commercialized massage service that does not get all your body muscles. More like rubbing your back instead of massaging your muscles. They use lotion instead of scented oil for massage however theyre clean and tidy.The drawback in their services are for every transaction, credit transfer, or canceling service you have to put forth $$ or lose $$.

Eric was great once again! He clearly knows how to spot muscle tension and how to disperse it! He asks what kind of pressure you want and checks in on your comfort during the massage. He found knots I didn’t know were there and dissolved them!

Cynthia is very experienced and does such an amazing job!! My muscles were extremely tight from work, exercise and stress, she made sure to the relief I needed. She knows what she is doing , highly recommend her! You have to book in advance to get her specifically.

Streeterville, River North Massage Envy location in Chicago, IL has the worst front-desk staff, very disrespectful, bad behavior and lack of modals. The last three months, the service at front-desk and interaction with the clients has been changing from bad to worse. Also, this location has been changing Terapists on the last six months, some of them were professionals. For all these reasons, Ive already requested my immediate cancelation of my membership.

Love this convenient location to the office. I’ve been seeing Eric and he’s the best! Front desk staff always is friendly and so helpful.

Amado is the best! I used to bounce around to different spas and massage therapists but once I found Amado, I never felt the need to look elsewhere. Listens to what you need and super talented guy. Super friendly, respectful and professional. You’re in good hands with Amado!

I was scammed out of $79.50. I booked an appointment and recieved a call asking if I could come in 2 hours earlier (presumably so the massage therapist could end their night early). I was not able to come in early, as I was just landing in Chicago from NC and would not be able to get to their location at the earlier time. I drove to the location in time for my original appointment at 8pm. After 15minutes of looking for parking, at 7:55pm I called the store to let them know I was there but driving from block to block looking for parking (this location only has street parking). At 8:02pm I still had not found parking and called back to update them of my tardiness. It was suggested that I could reschedule for the next day. I was happy to reschedule for the next day, I was prepared to Uber to the appointment to avoid parking issues. The next day I received a call to confirm my appointment and to confirm if I knew this would be paid for out of pocket as my massage credit was used the previous day. I let the receptionist know that I was NOT aware that I had been charged and that this session would be paid for out of pocket, the receptionist said they thought that may have been the case and that’s why they called to confirm and apologized for the miscommunication (this receptionist was very polite and helpful). They assured me that the person I spoke to the day before did not document this correctly and said they left a message for their manager to call me back as that is who would have to handle this scenario. I never received a call back, I called on multiple occasions and the manager was never available. I was finally given an email address, I received a response from the manager who flat out lied and said that they were there when I spoke with the first receptionist and said they heard them say I would be charged a cancellation fee. This is simply untrue, this was never communicated to me. Note to corporate- some locations record calls, please feel free to review the recorded line to confirm this. After calling the store back and finally speaking with the manager, they said they could put me in touch with their regional manager. It’s been over a week and I’ve still not heard anything from their store manager, CJ, with updates, nor have I heard from their regional manager. This review is to warn future customers of what to expect when working with this location and hopefully to warrant a response from the Massage Envy team.

Compete rip off. I made an appt for a hot stone massage. Massage Envy Streeterville confirms then an hour before the appt they say they cannot do hot stone but regular. So I cancelled but they said tough luck and that they are charging me. I demanded to speak to Anita the manager but they pretended she was not in and would call me later. Anita never has. Complete scam. Lousy organization.

Ronald is an amazing masseuse. He knows how to get into your knots and get them out. Everytime I finish a session with him I feel so good and relaxed. He even makes the experience better by keeping up good conversation that I enjoy. I only go to him for this very reason.

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP***The massage specialists and receptionists are lovely for the most part. I am giving 1 star due to their customer service and auto renewal. I was charged for 8 months without service, tried to change it, was put on a list for contact, and was able to change it AFTER I was charged yet again without the option for a refund. There is never a manager available, and the overall experience has left a sour taste in my mouth regarding massage envy.

Bask in the calming visuals of a shoreline loop in the “calming space” while you wait for your therapist to “no show” for FORTY minutes.When I arrived, I was told my therapist was running “a few minutes behind.” Twenty minutes later, I popped my head out to make sure no one forgot I was waiting. I asked how much longer, and was told “a few minutes.” Great… after FORTY minutes I asked again… the response “she isn’t responding to her text messages.” At this point it becomes clear the therapist isn’t even there. I was offered a facial or a more expensive massage appointment appointment (without discounts applied). Never offered to speak to management. Never offered parking voucher (it’s Streeterville parking). Was given a bogus bot email… also an unresponsive lead.Just spend your money at a different franchise. This place is bad.

Called to ask why the booking on a website that knows that Im a member is cheaper than what I got charged after my service. Kid you not, the receptionist said Its more expensive for members. When I get shocked in awe and asked how thats possible, she doesnt explain anything and repeats her point over and over and then puts me on hold without saying anything. THEN the manager? comes along and says you website booking price is incorrect. Come on now.... if your website is displaying wrong information, at least you should calmly explain it. Instead, he says I dont have time for this s***. You dont have time to explain to your customer why the website is either misleading or wrong. I will be doing research on other locations/services. Please look at other reviews about their attitude if ANYTHING goes wrong and you have to ask them any questions.

Ron does great deep tissue massage. He is professional, attentive and easy going. I have booked massage with Ron many times and it is consistently excellent.

This by far was the worst massage Ive had in my life. I get 3-4 a month. There was a lack of technique, often the same motion over and over again. I felt like I was just having lotion rubbed on me. I requested deep tissue and it was more Swedish, and there was an odd cigarette odor in the room (could have been in her clothes). I felt so uncomfortable that I requested my session to be cut short although I was still charged the full session.Ive been a massage envy member for many years and decided to try this location out. All the people that were recommended (via yelp reviews were booked). So I went with someone (A******) they referred me to at the desk over the phone (huge mistake). The desk at times doesnt give honest recommendations, Ive seen this happen a few times at massage envys, less than most.This is the big knock on Massage Envy, the lack of consistency with their therapist. Im not a person that typically writes reviews so this had to be pretty bad for me to spend time to do this.I would highly recommend additional thorough training on technique for the therapist that are less experienced. Which is what Im assuming is the case with the therapist I was given.Larry

The location was easy to find for this non-city girl. The staff behind the desk were super friendly and welcoming. I received the best massage Ive ever had. Ever. I would move to Chicago just to get massages here. Gabi was simply amazing. Next time Im in town, Im definitely scheduling another massage!

Have been trying for over a month to get an invoice I requested. Nothing. Ive emailed and called multiple times only to get the run around. This review only reflects this location, as the Gold Coast and west loop locations in Chicago have been great. There is good reason for the latest ratings. Management is lacking immensely. Don’t come here, go to the west loop or Gold Coast. Funny how they throw a different location under the bus on the thread below but take credit for a different locations great service haha!

Im a Massage Envy regular across the U S. This was my best experience. Sara was amazing. I asked for deep tissue massage and she delivered. Felt as though she knew exactly where my issues were without having to say much. I brought a friend and she was massaged by Kaneesha and she reported a similar experience. She arrived with back pain and within 24 hours of the massage, she reported feeling much better.

This was my first massage since the quarantine, and it was fantastic! Hillary was intense, but I felt great afterwards. She was able to root out problem areas i wasn’t even aware of. The staff made me feel safe and secure returning at this time.

Tiffany did a great job - she should get a 5/5. The front desk experience however was a bit strange. I checked in ten minutes early as requested, and about 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment start time, the front desk came over to confirm my first name and to reassure me that my therapist would be with me shortly. Five minutes after that, they again came over to confirm my name (I was the only one in the waiting room...) and then had me fill out paperwork I could have filled out when I got there early. My 60 minute session thus started ten minutes late, and I was told they would extend the time accordingly, but that was not the case.

I LOVE this place!!! From my first visit months ago the staff has always been great and they remember me each time. Very accommodating scheduling, parking very close. Eduardo knows how to keep me coming back for more. I highly recommend buying the membership.

This review is based off of this location only and does not reflect my experience at other Massage Envy chains. I had an appointment booked for myself and husband at this location and let’s just say I would not recommend and I would never frequent again. We paid for 2 one hour massages and only one of them was actually one hour. When I explained to the male after we had been serviced, who I believe is the manger, that I got a 45 min massage (not to mention there was no pressure at all during the massage) he told me that the masseuse has an iPad with a timer soBasically that’s impossible. I then told him that I had not only watched the clock in the room, and the one on my phone, and asked him if those were also incorrect his reply was “possibly”...however the minutes still add up the same, 45 mins- he agreed. He proceeded to go to the back to double check with the masseuse who lied and said she brought me into the room at 12:03, it was her word against mine. The best he could offer was the intro price at the next appointment. HA like I would Ever come back to this location. Then as I was checking out he took it personally that I didn’t want to leave a tip. We’re good bro.

I love my salon in Aurora! Streeterville is terrible in regard to customer service..their system over charged me $179.10 and Im still waiting a week later for a refund and the manager to call..3 calls and no assistance!

Loree is the best! I’ve got recurring back issues and going to Massage Envy keeps me from downing advil and intensive Chiropractor sessions.

TERRIBLE. I’ve been looking forward to my 3:00 appointment all week. I arrived and checked in and was sent to the waiting room...as usual. 3:15 rolls around and I’m starting to think I got the appointment time wrong. But surely they would have told me when I checked in? 15 more minutes...finally I went up to the desk to let them know I’ve been waiting, at which point they tell me my therapist is not there and they will have to cancel my appointment. ?!?!??! This would have been great to know a half hour ago when I checked in....or even better before I walked all the way here! So rude and inconsiderate of people’s time. Not the experience I was looking for to relax this weekend.

Horrible experience. The front desk staff Mis-scheduled my appointment (her name was Nicole). They didn’t discuss this with me prior. I arrived for a full body 1 hour massage. I ended up getting a 30min back rub...no arms, nothing else. NO DISCUSSION PRIOr. All he said in the end was I’d like to see you back for 90mins for your back. I went to the front desk extremely upset and they said well didn’t you discuss this already. I said no, he said well you still got a half hour so you have to pay for that. I asked for the manager/franchise owner name and he said he was the acting manager. Poorly run and unprofessional business. Don’t spend the money when you can get a back rub anywhere. Also makes no sense to make someone fully undress for just a back!! Way to ruin a Sunday night!!

The place itself is nothing super fancy or posh, but the staff is very friendly and I’ve been coming here once a month or so for a massage. I REALLY recommend David - he’s more of a massage artist than just a massage therapist - especially for those looking for a therapeutic, deep-tissue massage as opposed to plain relaxation. David will murder your back but your back will reincarnate and turn into a pain-free back :) I recommend this therapist full-heartedly!! Thank you!!! :)

I’d been achy and tired from working so much and left the facility as a new person after seeing Eduardo. I highly recommend him.

I came here with a gift card I received for my birthday and decided to have back to back facial and massage services. Everyone was very friendly when I arrived, but there was a lot of paperwork to fill out - felt like I was at the doctor. I changed into a robe for the facial so I could easily transition to the massage room without too much thought and they provided a large bag where I could put all my clothes and belongings which was nice. My technicians carried that around for me and made sure I was hydrated. I received some samples at the end of my visit. When I was checking out, they were really pushing the membership packages which I wasnt in the mood for after 2 hours of pampering. Id definitely try Massage Envy again, but perhaps another location.

My first massage here was from a heavy smoker. Nothing more gross than a smoker breathing over you while you are trying to relax. After my second massage from an inexperienced therapist I decided to cancel my membership. I called TWICE to cancel my membership. Each time I was ensured they would cancel my subscription. Sure enough I just got charged this month for a membership I thought I canceled one month ago. Super irritating.

My best massage experience in Chicago is a beautiful thing and a very professional and friendly staff. I will no doubt continue with .them

Some of the worst service I have every received from a franchise operation. Good luck getting through on the phone. If you do, finding a booking time with less than a weeks notice is nearly impossible. Turnover is incredibly high. These two items combined mean when you finally find a masseuse that you like, the chances of getting him/her are slim to none. Billing errors resulted in charges to my account after I had canceled the membership. Credits are not allowed to be transferred between individuals more than once per 6 months period. That means when you rack up a couple treatments and cancel, they need to be used in 30 days. I dont need semi-weekly massages for four weeks. Be careful, on the surface it seems like a good deal. Many caveats lurk beneith the surface.

I have had a terrible experience here! I made an appointment for my wife and at the time of confirming the appointment I had clearly said that the appointment was for my wife. The ladies at the front desk(who by the way need to be polite with their customers) ruined the whole experience for my wife when she walked in. Initially they refused to let her take the benefits from my membership for some reasons which were not told to me when i made the appointment(clearly specifying that it was for my wife and not for me). After a huge round of convincing and negotiations they agreed and set my wife up for a whole different service and not what was mentioned at the time of the appointment. In the end they transferred the entire blame on us saying we were not clear enough while communicating and all this was our mistake. At the time of confirming the appointment they had no objections because i was making the call for my wife but when she showed up they were so unwelcoming and in the end my wife had to leave without getting any services because not only did not create an appointment in her name, they also messed up with the choice of service. After all this they had the audacity to tell us that it was all our mistake and a communication gap from our end!Overall it was a terrible experience and I dont want to continue my membership here and i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone else and all this is because of the extremely unpleasant staff at the front desk. I will be cancelling my membership soon.

Super friendly staff. Prices are great for a downtown area conveniently located and getting an appointment was very easy and quick. The place is clean and professional. We were offered tea and water upon arrival. Overall good experience.

Cynthia is the best massage therapist I’ve found at Massage Envy. She always knows what to do to relieve stress and pain.

The clinic manager, Sergio, is extremely rude and unprofessional. He does not care about customer satisfaction or providing acceptable customer service. Would recommend other Massage Envy locations to avoid dealing with him if any issues arise.

This by far was the worst massage at massage envy I ever had. There was a lack of technique, often the same motion over and over again. I felt like I was just having lotion rubbed on me. I came from out of town and was visiting home for the weekend and just wanted relaxation and I just got a lot of elbow, a lot of pressure, and a lot of shaking with a lot of unnecessary movements. I love massage envy but I wont be returning to this location.

Massage Envy is great if youve got built up soreness from the 5-7 workouts you did over the course of the week. Of course if you dont work out often and you prefer a sedentary lifestyle of couch surfing, it still feels AWESOME. Theres a ton of different options, but I recommend the hour long, athletic deep tissue massage. Hurts a bit at first, but really makes you feel great loooong after its over. Do it. You deserve it. Treat yoself.

A total scam!!!! I showed up today with a gift card asking for their introductory price. Not only the lady wouldnt give me that price but she wants to charge me if I cancel the visit. Now I have to pay 40$ extra for an hour ($100 total) to not lose the 60$ I have in my gift card. Go elsewhere if can
