Luxor Hookah & Sports bar Denton

Tori was our server. She over charged us and added charges we didn’t not ask for. We asked her how many flavors can we get with an extra charge. She replied 4 we chose 4 including a margarita flavored shisha, she gave us an entire margarita beverage in the base??? She apologized but did not correct the ticket. She added pineapple head to the charge and ice both of which we never received. They also had us play musical chairs after explaining we can sit anywhere except vip. This place barely had any business. They won’t last much longer lying the way they do. Pay attention to charges a 18% service charge is added Torri stated she only gets 5% of that. This was my first and my last time coming here!

I absolutely adore the food here, it delicious, also incredibly affordable. The ambience is inviting and cozy, perfect for a casual hangout. Also they offer a variety of games to keep entertained, and the hookah is available at a very reasonable price. Overall, a fantastic spot for great food, fun and relaxation.

I ordered hookah with strawberry & pineapple flavor, the smoke was not getting properly with that flavor and I requested them to change the flavor with pan. At last they charged me for three flavors, I didn’t smoke those two flavors but they charged for me and they took almost 25mins to prepare hookah.Also I ordered the fries, they came with good looking burned( black ) fries.If the customer won’t like the flavor within 5 mins, please tell them that you will charge for another flavor. Without intimation at last you are charging for that.

Absolutely disgusted with the food we got . Went last night to have shawarma , but all we got is a chicken wrapped in heavily oil dipped chapati, which we get from bhavyas groceries . I had to eat it cause I had no choice . won’t recommend shawarma here

Worst place to drink the shots and cocktails they don’t know how to make them. However, if you are a desi you will enjoy the vibe of desi songs and ambience. My suggestion is order some beers instead of drinks made by the staff

I was in the city of Denton on business wanted to go out and have a drink the minute i walked in i wasnt greeted had to find the waitress. There was a handful of people in the lounge I took a seat, initially i came in with my wine wanted to take advantage of the BYOB but the waitress told me i had to get a hookah so thats what i did i stayed in the lounge for about 2 hours the music was ok i guess the astetics were below average holes on the couch and floor was badly stained. I had to look for the waitress all night for service finally I checked out out and i did tip 2$ on the total bill which was 57$ total but i woke up today and the amout was changed to 59$ this is very deceitful, trifling and unprofessional I will never go to a luxor again.

The food truck behind luxor serves amazing indian street style food....much better than any other truck in denton

Got drinks and spicy chicken shawarma. The chef came out to talk to me and make sure that I knew what I was getting into and I told him to make it how he would make it for himself. It was delicious, the spices were perfectly balanced. The heat level was perfect. It was all around fantastic.Will be going again.

I had a rather disappointing experience at a this place, despite its initially promising ambiance. While the atmosphere was OK OK, the quality of the hookah and the behavior of the staff left much to be desired.The hookahs were poorly maintained and provided a subpar experience, no one knows what they are mixing in. while the staff exhibited unprofessionalism(especially an Indian guy, known by his short name ROCKY) and a lack of attentiveness.It was a letdown considering the initial positive impression, and I CANNOT recommend this place due to its underwhelming hookah quality and unsatisfactory service.

I don’t know if it was just the staff or what the exact issue was, but I came here and spent near 50$ for one hookah. Waited for almost 45 and didn’t receive the correct hookah I ordered. Not to mention the absolutely absurd 18% “service charge”. If I could put 0 stars I would. I used to come here a lot when this place was called Pharos hookah lounge and it was the best place in Denton for a good hookah, it was always packed and I met some sweet people. Now it’s nothing shy of being a disappointment. I won’t be returning here and I recommend nobody else come here unless you want to waste your money and time.

Slow service and do NOT tip as your bill includes a 18% service charge that they don’t disclose to you.Money hungry place. Shame on you guys.Just walk over to Layalina’s and have a chill time smoking a hookah with friendly service. You will leave the place feeling good.

Chill place to go and hang out and smoke hookah. Just be aware that they have a 18% service charge that they do not disclose prior to paying. The payment device will ask you for a tip on top of the service charge which is really annoying. Deceptive practice which explains why this place is empty whenever I go there.

Food is delicious. I had Mutton biriyani in which i loved the piece and flavour of it and also at good price in denton. Good place to handout too and rocky is so kind and interactive.

We ordered chicken biryani and Mutton biryani yesterday as there was deal going on. They served spoiled biryani, we throwed them in trash can without eating any bite. I would never recommend this place to anyone if you wanted to eat biryani here.

The food here is always hot and always on point. The bartenders was very friendly and nice. I enjoy that the pool table if Free not like most places you have to pay.

Its a vibe, great atmosphere, best clubbing experience in Denton County. If you dont want to drive the dallas this is the palce to go. Drinks are fairly priced, music is good, friendly and sexy staff. The whole package. Very satisfying experience, hope to see more people there.

This place is amazing. Definitely worth giving it a try. I never had a shawarma before I ate there. Not sure if it’s authentic, but it’s amazing. Flavorful tender meat. I’ll be back for sure. I would add a picture but I ate it too fast.

The hosts are very accommodating. Theyre always happy to share their opinions and recommendations on how to enjoy a night at the lounge. When my friends and I ordered the Godfather, they told us about how popular it is, and got us our hookah in good time.The only thing I wish they would improve is how often they check on the guests. I found myself wanting another round of beer, but the host next came by after they stopped selling beer.

Always go here I like the atmosphere. The new red head bartender was extremely rude. A new law was passed that I wasn’t aware off (I’m 20 years old) and I was ready to follow the rules and leave the premises. She’s completely dismissed me like I was child and spoke to my friends as if they were my parents about me being there. She’s very passive, and slightly ignorant. I also believe she doesn’t know how to communicate with customers when the interests are not aligned with the company. Other than her, i like the place and will be back when I’m 21.

Its such a good place to hang out with friends, which is near to University so that students need not travel long distance.

Loved this place!! Good music, good vibe, a good place to kick back and smoke hookha. We walked in after a wedding and the owner was very accommodating. He definitely looked out for us.

Horrible experience. Was looking for a chill laid back environment to smoke hookah and have some drinks. Had to go to the back room to order the hookah after waiting a while to get my order taken after asking to give us a few minutes to decide. After we got the hookah, friends got there with liquor, the waitress acknowledged it. After waiting for 30 minutes to order ice and soft drinks to use as mixers I had to walk out to see if they even acknowledged us.. during the 30 minute wait time the waitress was tending to all her tables but ours. After coming back inside , I complained to the manager about the horrible experience and she didnt do anything and made me pay full price.

Best place to hangout with friends ,the bartenders are very friendly and their service towards us is very good ,when coming to the food both the biryanis and the other food is very fresh and tasty.

These guys are so nice and helpful when my boyfriend or I have questions about hookah, were new to it and love stopping in once or twice a week to just enjoy a nice chill environment. The owner looks like a really cool boss to have and all of the workers never look miserable to be there.

Great prices, staff can be a little slow at getting to you/checking on you. New owner(s) a little uptight but I suppose it’s for good reason. Comfortable space, good music, alcohol, great flavor variety for hookahs.

I love going here with friends even we want to just relax and listen to music. The service here is amazing, I love the people who work here. If your looking for a hookah lounge that isnt overly excessive but still a good place to libe then Pharaohs is the place to go.

Absolutely love the friendly and helpful staff here. They take very good care of their customers and this location is a very well-ventilated hookah lounge. Awesome specials and a huge selection of flavours available... And theyre open as long as the bars in the area.

I went in with high expectations. When our order was taken the server yells out to the bar “double apple!” Our group was surprised because we didn’t see anyone behind the bar. Naturally, we assumed there was a midget setting up our hookah behind the bar and we just couldn’t see them. To our dismay, a regular sized person walked out of another room with our hookah... very disappointing.

Came with a group of college girlfriends the staff is very discourteous and sketchy when bringing our tabs our tips were added to our tabs. This place is like a strip club having girls twerking and knocking down hookahs.

I know these places arent usually hot spots for foot traffic or anything but the 1st bad sign was the place being DOA with maybe only 2 other tables being used.2nd thing was the the only waitstaff, which was one person, were more concerned about hangout and smoking with their friends than making sure the patrons that were already there needed anything else after getting there pipe.3rd it was very uncomfortable realizing that a group of people who later came in and sat down with mentioned waitstaff were obviously Drug Dealers who were less that sneaky about selling to those around them.Thankfully I never have to come back here for anything ever again!

The beer is cheap with great space. They lack organization in their staff wasn’t sure who to order beer from or who to talk to for the hookah. I think with time they will get better but this is a small business with great potential

I’ve been coming to Pharoahs, now Luxor, since 2016. It has been my spot to do homework through college and then after hours work after graduating. There is always an amazing environment going on and you’ll always receive the best service here. Other lounges that I’ve visited have not been as customer service oriented as Luxor has been. They have a full bar, the best food I’ve ever had and the hookah is always good. I highly recommend this place.

This place reeks. Came here with a friend and was going to order a gyro sandwich, but the girl that was working said they serve it from a truck and that truck doesnt always come there. False advertising at its best. Then I asked if I can buy a beer she said beer is only sold to customers who sit and smoke hookah?

I ordered two Biryani’s from luxor and had a terrible experience The food was stale and they took nearly 30 mins to give this stale food

Used to come here almost every night and spend a few hours until i moved back to DC. Great atmosphere, great hookah, and owner was a great guy. Get sweet melon and absolute zero!!

Very rude group of individuals (not everyone but) as I came in with a group of friends. Left and asked for a receipt my total was 27 and later charged me 37.

Smells like mold inside, but the atmosphere was great. If they fix that , theyll have something sweet.

Fantastic spot for winding down over a hookah and drinks, service is excellent and most nights there are DJs as well, so what more could you want?
