Watra Night Club

My friend and I once came by out there around 10:30, everything was alright and it seemed really relaxing and cool. My problem though was with the service, I felt the other people were not very welcoming and giving us dirty looks simply because of the way we looked. We both felt very uncomfortable and unfairly treated. One of the waitresses served everybody else in our general area except us on several occasions, she eventually did come one time but only with a cold shoulder and no manners. I don’t want to go back again and too expensive for getting shunned by the staff and the clubbers.

Theyre never open. I first came on a Wednesday night with my girlfriend around 830 and said they didnt open until 9 even tho it shows 8 on Google but they let me in anyway. Had a great time. Good music, good atmosphere. Have tried to go again at least 3 times and every time I go they are closed.Response to Watra: fair enough. It was a good time but Ive been on those days and hours and has been closed. Please update your hours on Google to reflect days and hours you are actually open

This place is lacking good music, and good drinks.I would not recommend it to anyone.

I was invited to a Southwest airlines event from a friend to watch the bears game, so the bar was open outside of his normal operating hours. The food was catered which is why I have no stars selected for food, however, the bartenders were good at the way they prepare drinks and the atmosphere is very nice! I really love the large dance floor area that they have for those who may not be into sports. I believe they need a couple more TVs for events and this would be a great go-to spot at any time. Parking is limited around the club so be prepared to walk at least a half a block.

The space has the typical flashy lights, small stage, dance floor that can accommodate maybe 50 people or so with the furniture in place and the VIP area that is a mixture of everyone. Went for a birthday party and it wasn’t crowded when we arrived close to 11pm, the music selection was versatile from Too Short to Beyoncé but it still missed the mark somewhere at the beginning but once the DJ was on scene it was better. Interesting and confident crowd, this is a dress comfortably not dress to impress type of establishment.

Good place to grab 1-2 drinks on Friday night and go elsewhere if you’re single lol not a single friendly place. You’re welcome

In response to loser “owner”: Why are you mad? 😂 I WAS being honest. Why would I lie about your boring “club”? If you can’t take constructive criticism from people about your rinky dink “club” then maybe you’re in the wrong business. Use the feedback to better your place & just maybe your so called “nightclub” wouldn’t have been so dead & boring on a Friday night. I live across from it & trust me when I say I’d rather patronize a neighborhood establishment than a downtown one. After your ignorant comment, I won’t ever give your place another chance even if you had Maná themselves there. 😂😂😂I went here for the first time on a Friday night. It was $15 or $20 to enter. My friend & I left after one drink. It was completely dead and the music was horrible. The DJ also kept talking throughout every song which was annoying.

The music is very old, very old-fashioned music from the Tri El Mago de Oz and they dont play zapateado they dont play Duranguense they dont play bachata they dont play cumbia they only play very little music and very ugly and the DJs are always drunk playing I do not recommend this place and they play Repeated music and many dj and they do not serve the entrance is $ 15 and you arrive there and they change to $ 20 and a single bathroom is always busy🤡🤡🤬🤬🥱🥱🥱👁👀😡

Saturday night, 12:30am, and the dance floor is empty... That should tell you something. Find a new DJ that plays music that was released after 1990... $4 rum and coke is a plus.

Not a good feeling overall... The owner is just creepy...If u wanna play pool by urself or have lots of space dancing to mediocre music then this is the place for u

Watras is An Awesome Place to go to and here flashbacks of classics house music.. i Know everyone there.. jack and his wife are Beautiful People.. we Always have a Great time there:) i Love watras Better than P lounge.. at p lounge ppl get stupid and act stupid bumpn into you and hitting on you.. i dont like p lounge thats for sure.. its a Huge Dive to me!!!Go Watras:) yay!!!

The first time I went to that place, everything was fine, except that the fat woman who serves inside the bar was rude, as if she asked for a free one, the things she thought were the owner, my husband asked for a bucket for the 2nd time and I didnt pay attention to her and I yell at him which one do you want, they should fire the fat lady from there they already lost clients

The truth is they pass, the worst I dont recommend it, the bartender is not good at serving, now I understand why there are no people... the whole place was dead, we went, my friend wanted a water and she didnt have an ID and the annoying senior bartender told her that I had to give him an ID and we told him thats why Im asking for a water and we had to leave. Its not good for customer service and there was no security. The truth is, this place is not good for going to have the worst fun.

Very bad place, change the name and just call it Mexican, we come from many countries and the music is only Mexican, the doormans attention is very bad, very bad place, I do not recommend it for anyone who comes to visit Chicago

Its phenomenal, we went to celebrate my friends birthday. we had a great time recommended

They play pure cumbia, banda and salsa music. All older people arrive.
