I booked a couples massage for my wife’s birthday and couldn’t be more pleased. The ambiance is relaxing and the service was fantastic. Kesha and La’Shay were professional and understood what areas required attention during our massage. The experience was wonderful. I will definitely be returning.

Spavia in Cincinnati Oh in the Rookwood area was just what I needed to kick off my self care! Each member of the staff was attentive and professional.I had a massage and my first facial and each service was memorable not only for the relaxation I felt but because of my massage therapist, Kesha and my aesthetician, Destiny!Both of these woman had a spirit that would calm any trepidation or cares you may have. Kesha was attentive, professional, sweet, kind, and above all she gave me the best massage with such love and care. Destiny was attentive, professional, informative, and she made me feel comfortable to know that through the pain of releasing your pores there is beauty in the other side! 🥰Thanks Spavia! Overall great experience! Another spa canceled on me day of- not only did Spavia have an appointment, but they were super kind and respectful from start to finish! Everyone on the staff was very kind but especially Destiny! Book with Destiny if you can she’s very personable, professional, and made me feel so welcome! I will absolutely be going back!

I brought a friend for her birthday for multiple services and it was an awesome experience!! For my massage, my masseuse Dennis accommodated the pressure I wanted and made me feel very relaxed. Destiny completed my facial which great and left my skin glowing and soft! I would highly recommend Spavia for their services and will be back when I’m back in the city!

I had my first prenatal massage at Spavia in Rookwood on Monday, January 29th, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Despite arriving slightly late, I called ahead to inform Julie, who was working the front desk, and was assured it wouldnt be an issue. Upon arrival, I expressed my preference to prioritize the massage over the facial due to my pregnancy, but was told the facial couldnt be shortened. Despite being willing to wait longer between services, as discussed with the staff conducting the services and reviewing the day’s appointments, the staff ultimately couldnt accommodate my request. Julies explanation regarding appointments didnt align with the flexibility I was offered, and her handling of the situation, including adding a tip to my bill after specifically requesting not to, was unacceptable and unprofessional. This experience was disheartening, and I will not be returning to Spavia, particularly while Julie is working or owns the place. If I could give this a half of one star, I would.

This was a a surprise gift for a milestone birthday. Not only was the spa itself immaculate, warm and inviting but the staff was also professional, friendly and clearly very knowledgeable about their art. I was fortunate to have a very skilled masseuse (Dennis) who gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. He also provided a hand, foot and head massage with scalp treatment AND, unknown to me, he came in early to accommodate our schedule for the day. Ambiance was nice, my fiance booked a birthday couples session. Young female barely touched body with hands, used her fingers during massage as if she was uncomfortable or didnt want to perform service on a black lesbian female customer... very sad cause it was my birthday gift

This massage was absolutely fantastic. This place is beautiful, the people are so lovely and wonderful and kind. I am not a person who usually likes to be touched by strangers, but I will definitely be coming back to get more massages. Emily was my masseuse and she is AMAZING. Very disappointing experience and will never go back. I came in on my birthday wanting to be relaxed and help ease a migraine. I asked for soft pressure on the form they have you fill out, but that did not happen - I proceeded to get a deep tissue massage for most of the appointment. I said I wanted focus on my scalp and neck due to my migraine, but instead the guy focused on two painful points on my back for over half the time. He didn’t continually ask if pressure was fine, even when he was digging into these spots repeatedly and I was visibly wincing. It was extremely painful. He only asked if pressure was fine once in the first 5 minutes and then not again. A good therapist would be checking your face in these moments and asking if an intense amount of pressure is fine.When I flagged this with the front desk, I was dismissed and told I must have needed it (the deeper pressure). Extremely rude and disrespectful to not hear a client out, and understand their frustrations. I would recommend you not dismiss future people and tell them what you think they needed.I booked a massage for what I WANTED, not what some stranger thought I NEEDED. Instead, I walked out of a massage in pain and frustrated that I wasted $150 on my birthday (and still left with an even more throbbing migraine).Therapist was also very flimsy with the sheet - Ive had dozens of massages, and it is a very intimate thing to adjust the sheet while you have next to clothes on or any at all. It was never tucked, it felt like it was getting tossed around and I was NOT at ease, especially with a man doing it. This is extremely uncomfortable, and feels very massage 101 to do properly.I will never go back, and left in tears out of frustration on my birthday.

First time visitor today. Decided to treat myself to a massage with the full body CBD boost for my birthday! Megan was my massage therapist. Really nice, good energy. Megan was attentive and down-to-earth. The ambiance of Spavia is very relaxing from the moment I entered the front door. (I dont remember the name of the older gentleman who checked me in but he was nice too.) Great customer service!) My only complaint was no hot towels applied after the massage. 😳 I didnt purchase a membership but I would definitely come back again! Thank you Spavia for pampering me on my birthday! 🥰

Tom and Julie at the concierge were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond. I just went to Spavia in rookwood and had kylie as my massage therapist. She was incredible. I feel like a new person. I appreciated the silence, it made me feel so relaxed I almost fell asleep. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Kylie!!!

No harshness at all. I also love how she gave recommendations for my skin and what she used on me. Everyone was very nice and I cant wait for my next one.

I have been to Spavia in some other locations and had a very relaxing service. I was excited to be moving to a location next to a Spavia. However, my first calls trying to transfer some membership credits from another location were very disappointing. My business was not appreciated, I was treated poorly by the front desk, and because of errors of a Spavia owner from another location and their communication with Rookwood Spavia I lost four credits. This experience has tarnished the Spavia brand for me and I will take my business elsewhere.

I was in today for a massage with Dennis I believe. I wanted to reach out to you as a person who cares about your business.This was probably the worst massage I have ever experienced to date, and I have had a lot. Although Dennis was very nice, his technical skills lacked if there at all.There was no rhyme or reason to this massage. No traditional flow. He would spend 15 minutes on my feet and maybe 3 on my leg, then Go back to my back like under the covers. It was so strange. He would hold my body verses massaging it. He never lifted my legs or arms but barely massaged them on the table. He breathed all over my face which made this experience even more uncomfortable.I want you to know how terrible this experience was so that you might get him some proper training. I do feel as though I deserve a refund of some sort as someone who owns a business and am in a similar industry. These standards are incredibly low. I would have never let an employee work on someone with this skill set.**** THIS BUSINESS NEVER EVEN RESPONDED TO MY EMAIL......... if that tells you anything.

I have been searching for a true spa experience and found it here, WOW! Had the body scrub and hydrogen facial treatments, took around 2 hours from start to finish. Both technicians were superior and made my experience relaxing. By far, my favorite was the facial. It came with a hot stone neck/back massage as well. Mandy took her time to explain everything she was doing and asked questions about my skin, my concerns, and made recommendations for serums/cleansers as well as the shade of mineral makeup that matches me perfectly. I walked out glowing and with porcelain skin! Being a woman in my Kate 40s, makeup hasnt been working well for me lately but the mineral foundation they used looked perfect and my skin feels amazing. We are from out of town so did not opt for the monthly membership but I will definitely make an effort to return often, it would be worth the 1 5 hour drive!

Sena was amazing! By far the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. She incorporated some light stretching, which I didn’t even realize I needed. I’ll be back to see her.

Amazing massage and the owners are so nice and welcoming. Ive never had a good deep tissue massage until now. In the past when Ive had one the masseuse doesnt use enough pressure to work out the knots in my neck and legs even when I tell them to use more pressure, however both times Ive had a deep tissue at the rookwood Spavia Ive left completely relaxed with no more knots or soreness. My wife has also received multiple skin treatments and facials here and has left happy with the results every time!

I was given a massage as a birthday gift after running a marathon and let me just say WOW. It was my first massage but Julie, the owner, made me feel completely at ease from the moment I walked in the door. I had Monique as my therapist and she was amazing. Asked me my preferences and honored my requests. Was a WONDERFUL experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Consider trying Woodhouse Day Spa instead. Today, I had a 60-minute ultimate hydraderm appointment. Here’s how it went:Although my appointment was at 12, I wasn’t taken in until 12:15pm. The service itself didn’t commence until 12:20 because the therapist forgot her supplies.Surprisingly, I wasn’t offered a pillow for my legs, and I realized she forgot to ask about it after the treatment.Prepare for the use of COLD towels during your service. Yes, you read that right - COLD! This is quite different from my numerous experiences at Woodhouse Day Spa where I never encountered cold towels on my face and chest.The actual service began at 12:20pm, and I was already finished by 1pm. Keep in mind, I paid for a full 60-minute facial. Even the front desk staff was taken aback by my early exit.I mentioned my complaints to the front desk staff but all I got was a “sorry.” I own a business too and this is one I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

For my birthday, my husband bought me the relax package which includes a 60 minute signature massage and 60 minute signature facial. Let me tell you, from the moment I entered the spa it was an EXPERIENCE. They ask a lot of questions to customize your experience right down to the scents you want used and the music you want to play in the background! The robes are so soft and luxurious, the ambiance of the place is so calm and relaxing. I was offered tea or water after each treatment which was really nice. Every moment inside of that place I felt like a QUEEN! The massage (with Dennis) was the best I’ve ever had. He was so polite, professional and courteous. Janie did a great job on my facial, my skin has never looked so glowing and beautiful! I loved my experience so much, I’m going to sign up for the monthly membership! Try Spavia out, you won’t regret it!

I had 2 treatments this week, a hydroderm facial and a salt stone massage. I feel amazing. I have been coming to Spavia Rookwood for years now and they treat me like family. Even when I had to take some time between treatments, they have always treated me like family. The spa is clean and provides a nice relaxing atmosphere. The staff is wonderful and they offer suggestions to help with maintenance in between treatments. I recommend this play to everyone I know. I can’t wait for my next massage and facial.

Best massage I’ve ever had and very personable.

Ive been going for massages for most of my adult life (Im 49yo) for chronic neck issues. I had my first deep tissue massage here today with Sena and I walked out with zero pain and increased range of motion. I was so impressed with her and the atmosphere (locker room, robes, slippers, relaxation area, water or tea post massage), that I bought one of their packages which gives you a discount to come in monthly for services (massage, facial, body treatment, peel).

It was my first time experiencing the ambience of a day spa and it was all that and then some from the moment I walked in the door. The staff was very helpful at making my first time experience worthwhile. I will visit again.

The atmosphere was great, the massage was just the right pressure! It was a birthday couple massage and he enjoyed himself as well ( snoring half the massage lol).

I came in for a girls day with my mom and sister. We each ordered the Brightening Oxygen Lift facial and an add-on, which costed $200 each with tax. I asked if I could change my add on prior to my facial, but they told me that my esthetician was not trained on providing the add-on I requested instead (a mask), so they could not. That should have been my clue to walk away. However, I proceeded with the facial anyway. It consisted of topical creams only. No microdermebrasion, no dermaplanning, no microneedling, no led light, no hydrafacial, etc. to warrant paying such an expensive price -- not even a relaxing neck /back massage. The esthetician did not seem very confident in what she was doing. She gave me an arm massage but barely touched my skin. And even though she was aware that my neck was a problem area, she did not massage my neck, which typically comes standard with a facial, and I found came standard with my mom and sisters facials (who paid for the same thing I did). My esthetician rubbed 2 hot stones on my neck for a couple seconds and then said I felt tense and decided to just sit the stones under my neck to let them finish the work. There were times where I was just laying there bored, wondering if she should be doing something more, like using that time to massage me. I actually couldnt wait for the facial to be over. She also asked me probably 20-30 times how I feel throughout the facial. If there was even a possibility of me relaxing enough to doze off, that wouldnt happen since she was asking me questions every couple minutes. Everyone was so nice but Im not paying $200 just for people to be nice... Thats just basic customer service. I would expect an amazing experience and to feel like it was money well spent. I sure hope the topical creams she used are magical and at least have long-lasting effects, as the experience I received was very lack luster. Even after mentioning my experience to the manager, there was no resolve offered to me, just that he would talk to her. Well that does absolutely nothing for me because I will not be back.

Mixed feelings about this place. I appreciated the overall experience the first time I went in (sandals, robe, lockers, etc). However, I didnt feel comfortable with the massage therapist and he used some very weird techniques that actually aggravated my pain further. I thought I would try with a different massage therapist instead.I had read other reviews about their receptionist being unprofessional...Something weird happened on their website when I tried to schedule an appointment, and so an appointment was scheduled that I didnt know I had. They called the night before my appointment (around 6 pm) to remind me, and I was at a work event, so didnt receive the voicemail until late. I called immediately when they opened the morning of my appointment to try and get it canceled, because it was an accident due to their website working improperly. There were no apologies from the receptionist, but rather she was upset with me that I hadnt left them a voicemail....but I called right when they opened? She said they wouldnt charge me, but then hung up the phone. That is not the way to treat customers if you want to keep them coming back.

I had my first essential 60 minute massage today with Melissa and it was heavenly!! I told her I had a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and asked her to really focus on those areas which she did and it felt amazing. I liked how you could choose your lotion scent, music, massage pressure and level of conversation. I never want to feel rude during a massage and not talk but I also just want to be quiet and relax. The atmosphere is very peaceful and clean. I like having the robes and water (tea as well but I don’t like tea). Very tempted to get the membership because I would love to come here once a month and try new treatments!

I have been a member here for a year and if I wasnt moving from Ohio, Id still be a member. I began getting prenatal massages here around 6 months and it made the last trimester of my pregnancy great! Since then, I have been going to receive monthly massages. Julie & Tom are so welcoming and have become like family. The facility is nice and clean, the employees are calm and that really helps when trying to relax. You are able to customize your massages; even down to the talking. Whenever I am back in Cincinnati, I will be visiting this location.

So i go to this Spa based on a booking I secured on Style Seat with allegedly “Jovi Renee - Me Myself & Eyelash”. My confirmation email confirmed Spavia Day Spa’s address and when I arrived the woman at the counter had no clue who Jovi Renee was or the business name, Me Myself & Eyelashes.🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨Jovi Renee is booking fake eyelash appointments on Style Seat, and confirming the appointments with Spavia’s Day Spa’s physical address.

I cant begin to say what a wonderful experience I had at Spavia Rookwood. I had a gift certificate bought for me for the Rejuvenation Spa package, and I tell you that it was 4.5 of the most relaxing hours of my life! Lauri gave me my wrap and facial, she was professional, polite and an absolute gem. The front desk staff were lovely and cordial, they really gave the experience a Mom and Pop feel. They even provided lunch! I would absolutely recommend Spavia Rookwood to a friend in need of a good treat yourself day.

I remember when this spa opened! It was shortly after SIA Spa closed in Kenwood next to Panera Bread on Montgomery Road that I had began to look for a new spa home. I never booked a session due to the front office staff being rude over the phone. Twelve years later, after returning from overseas, I decided to try again---thinking that things might have changed for the better. As I walked into the building, I was never greeted. Only after speaking first, striking up a conversation about pricing, services, mud baths, and blah, blah, blah, blah did the lady peak an interest in all the potential money that she would make off of me, once she learned about my lux lifestyle. NO MA AM...it dont work like that! This was only a Temerature Test and the lady had failed it...again! After all that time, nothing had changed. I never spent a dime in that place, and never will. Customer Service will always be a top priority in my book...no matter what business it is!

It was a wonderful experience from the robes, customer service, sandals, etc.The tranquility room was so calming and the heated neck wraps were heaven. It was my first time getting a facial and the esthetician made sure to inform me of what to expect and laid out the whole process for me before she started. The arm and hand massage was a pleasant surprise as well. I truly felt pampered and relaxed. I was beyond ready for a nap when I left.

Professional AND personable staff! Very clean facility and there was NOT a hard push to sell me products and/or spa package. I will plan to make another visit the next time I am in the area!

Ive been a very happy member of Spavia Rookwood for going on almost 2 years. Julie and Tom are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I have never once felt pressured to purchase anything. In fact Julie makes suggestions to help me get the biggest bang for my buck. If I skip a month, that month carries over and I dont have to feel bad paying for something I may have the chance of losing. I also love that Julie calls from time to time to say, hey we have an opening, would you like to come in. I think they are down to earth and very responsible owners/managers. Now on to the massages....Amazing every single time. I enjoy coming in for a single massage or sometimes I group it and get a couples massage with my fiance. This place is worth every penny I pay monthly on the membership.

I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and went in for my 3rd prenatal massage (Melody is amazing and the sweetest!). I will say however, the female owner on the other hand was beyond rude when checking me in. She asked if I was due any day; said I must be having twins and that I was all belly when I appeared from around the counter. She continued to make these comments insinuating that I was large. This is supposed to be a place for relaxation and not one where you are judged, let alone being judged while pregnant. Will seriously reconsider giving my business to them again given how I was treated by the owners.

Visited for the first time and would not go back again. Was not impressed at all with their customer service. When I called for the appointment, the receptionist was rude and impatient. Aesthetician didnt really seem to listen to any of my responses, she seemed to just ask questions (as a formality). She was skilled at black/white head removal, my face is very clean. I just expected way better treatment, for the price. I rarely post negative reviews but I figured this might be helpful to someone.

The front desk staff/person who answers the phones has the WORST attitude. I called awhile ago to schedule a group appointment and she seemed so bothered and annoyed with me. Then something came up and we had to cancel our appointment and she was rude again! She didn’t even say goodbye, just hung up the phone. Awful experience and I will not be making another appointment.

Great service. I had the Brazilian Wax with CJ and the Eyelashes Extension with Laurie. Both very kind, took time to answer my questions and did a great job. Owners were super nice too.08/13 Update. I had an allergic reaction to the Eyelashes glue the next day. I called them to have them removed because my eyes were swollen. The owner charged me as a regular appointment $50+ because Laurie had to come to do the removal and even asked me to leave a tip!!. It was an emergency. It wasnt my choice and this lady didnt even showed concern or offered for a discount, help or anything. Only said it was the Franchise policy. I was planning on returning for the massages, more wax sessions and other services but after that I havent. I sent a complaint to the main office but they havent gotten back to me. I feel bad for Laurie and CJ because they were great. I

One star because they do give you a robe and slippers. i had an hour facial. The girl had no idea what she was doing. when it came to the arm and neck massage she just poked my arms made me hold a stone and put plastic on my hands then went and sat on her phone for a min of 5 minutes! she would do one thing then sit for 2-3 minutes almost trying to figure out what to do next. I ran out of there. Tried to explain to the receptionist and was met with a lot of disagreement. Spend your money elsewhere

I had a great experience at the Spavia in Rookwood at the end of June. I got a 1 hour Swedish massage, which started a bit late, but no big deal. The sugar glow and scalp treatment from Victoria were amazing. I tried to get in a few weeks before I went with no luck, but appointments opened up a few days before.

Great massage, definitely in the top 3 that Ive ever had. I plan to come back regularly.

Worst customer service. Very rude woman; not sure if she was the owner but she had zero sympathy when I needed to cancel my appointment because my children are home sick. Completely unprofessional and refused to let me reschedule over the phone. The website is not a useful tool whatsoever. Inflexible for scheduling and rude on the phone.

Spavia has a membership. For the price it is AMAZING. i considered cancelling my membership to save some money HOWEVER, returned two weeks later. Once you go the first time you will want to be there for every relaxation moment. Staff is GREAT and it is THE PERFECT relaxation environment.

I had a massage there recently with a male masseur and was touched inappropriately and was uncomfortable as a whole (I’ve had several massages prior to this with no issues and I am aware of what to expect out of a professional massage).When I called the facility to tell them about it, the manager said he would talk to him and call me back and when he did, all he had to say to me was, “His recollection of the massage was different”🤢(as if the masseur and manager were going to admit he did something wrong)It’s truly sad and disgusting to have to worry about things like this happening when you simply want to relax and get a massage at a professional establishment.I just want to raise awareness and prevent it from happening to anyone else. Always speak up if something happens to you!

Came in for a couples massage and we had Jessica and Jeff. Both of them were beyond amazing. We got the deep tissue and it was by far the best weve had. We consider ourselves pretty picky and we were not disappointed. Everything about the experience is relaxing.

I like the spa and its services. I went for a massage and the experience was good. I like the fact that they ask for music and conversation preference. They have changing rooms and lockers for your stuff. The pricing is fair.

Prior to that, I called three different times and left on hold where no one ever answered the call. I just called again this morning, again left on hold no one ever came to the phone.
