We stopped in for a drink after touring the Blues Museum across the street on a Thursday afternoon in August. We sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was laid back and easygoing. The beer and the music were good! We didn’t eat anything so I can’t review the food. Good experience - I’m glad we stopped in.
I have visited at least 6 times since moving to Mississippi. It is a favorite Juke Joint spot for me. The atmosphere is awesome, music is amazing, the crowd will always be just a wonderful good time. You meet people from all over the world. Drinks are good, but food could be better. I don’t go for the food, I go for the experience. If you haven’t gone yet your missing something special.
Last fall I toured the MS Blues Trail and stoped at this club on a day that it wasn’t open for business. I finally had the opportunity to go back to Clarksdale to visit. It was much better than I expected! Didn’t know it is one of the top rated Blues Clubs in country.Every employee was very friendly. I had the opportunity to have a conversation with Mr. Abraham who is over security and Ms. T (Tameal) who is the Booking Manager. They made me feel very welcomed! We went to watch Fred T. perform Friday night and ordered nachos which were very good. Saturday we went back for dinner and ordered the catfish dinner which was delicious! Each time we went we had a wonderful experience because the service was always excellent. There is a dance floor so if you feel like dancing just get up and move! I dance quite a bit myself although I’ve never danced to blues. 😃 There are 2 pool table and the price to play is very reasonable. You can also rent a juke junk style room upstairs.I love the murals on outside of building. They also have screened outdoor seating. There is a souvenir store as soon as you walk in club. It’s open from 11am-12pm. Friday and Saturday and 5-11pm WTh. The bands start playing at 8pm.They have seats on front porch and this is where I sat Saturday evening and had a conversation with Mr. Abraham on who has been employed since club opened in 2001.When also met when I first arrived at restaurant on Friday.I also met Ms. Tameal who shared a brief history of the building and how the club came into existence: It was built in late 1800’s a called Delta Cotten Co. and Grocer sold who sold goods and grain. The ramp on restaurant was loading dock for train. And that the design and artistry in and on building was done with a purpose.I highly recommend visiting this Blues Club for great performances and great food!
I was passing through Clarksdale, MS and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. I’m from the MS Delta, but quickly noticed that this is a big tourist location. Why? Probably because Morgan Freeman is one of the owners. We arrived right at opening and were the 2nd group seated. There’s writing all over this place, on the walls, tables, chairs, bathroom stalls, etc. Everyone is welcomed to bring a sharpie marker and leave their mark. Our server was great and provided us with a great experience! The sweet tea was perfection! We started with the hot tamales (a MS Delta staple). Although a bit pricey, they were possibly the best I’ve ever had! Everyone ordered the Catfish BLT. The catfish was delicious and cooked perfectly. I took the bacon off because it didn’t add anything to the sandwich and it was weird, but that’s okay. It was an easy fix! Getting here was a bit of a detour from HWY 61, but the hot tamales made it worth it. I plan to stop by to get a couple dozen the next time I’m in the area.
Country Band was horrible. They Didn’t bother coming back after the break as one of the owners and groupies just talking with themselves and having a photo shoot and making a video. Rebagged pop country and some rock-in- roll - no originality and no soul. Very disapointing that the owner of the club spent 15 minutes talking about how great the club and the group is and then participated in disrespecting patrons. Don’t bother going. There are other places in town that respect customers and music. Turnip greens were great. The staff is great. Owner didn’t even acknowledge them. One low class old fat white guy.
I honestly can’t say better things about the place. Food was awesome the fried pickles and the burger and fries and pulled pork sandwich were all really delicious. The atmosphere was amazing had a great time w great friends. Ari our waitress was amazing as well. She was friendly and was on top of our drinks. Beautiful girl inside and out.
The world famous Ground Zero Blues Club! We had a wonderful time experiencing the Blues in the Mississippi Delta. Quite the eclectic decor, writing on the walls all over, and various countries flags hanging from the ceiling. They have a nice menu of southern gastronomic fare at reasonable prices. Bar had a variety of drinks available, from bottled beer to Cathead Vodka Juke Joint menu. Cover charge kicked in around 8:00 pm as our Bluesman takes the stage. Be sure to look into the Delta Cotton Company Apartments, available for nightly rental like a hotel, above GZBC for a nice place to stay with an entrance next to the Blues Club entrance. Fun time enjoying what the Mississippi Delta and Blues have to offer. Side note, Morgan Freeman is a co-owner of Ground Zero.
Groundzero needs to start it all over again. We arrived at the restaurant around 1 and when we got there I got out to take pictures so when we finally sat down it was 15 after one. We didnt get service or drinks until 1:45. After she got our order she went to the next table to get their order. So thats adding more time for my food to get sent back to the kitchen. I finally hear a ticket print at the back at 1:58. I kept up with the time because I could tell they were badly understaffed. The one server/runner was wearing flip-flops. She had to pour some more cups of ranch and after she topped them off she liked her fingers. I could hear her lips smacked. My skin crawled. I got up to tell the only bartender and cashier but she was so busy. So I just walked off and said I was going to send in my horrible experience. I also forgot to mention no one was wearing hair nets. The guys in the back cooking werent even wearing non slip shoes. One guy even had on And1 basketball shorts. Is that a proper uniform? I sure hope no one else has to experience this horrible place. One guy even walked up and got his own food because it was taking them too long to bring it out. The cashier said I wasnt prepared for this. Honey its labor day weekend you shouldve been ready...... but even after all the negative the food was really good. We both ordered burgers and they were awesome. Also a customer sitting next to us found a Corona bottle cap in the bottomed of her sweet tea. Im just done.
Food was great and so was the music. Seating is great because it encourages people to meet and interact. Staff were all upbeat and having fun themselves.
My husband and I had a great time at Ground Zero. The manager and all the staff were very nice and attentive!! The band that night was awesome. We will be back again!!
Unique place to visit. Great bbq. Make sure to leave your mark on the wall if you can find a place to sign.
Found by accident. A Morgan freeman bar madness. We liked it a lot but were only passing through clarksdale was a great stopping point lots of places closed but we met so many nice people and businesses
I was there in May 2018 with my best friend. ( from the Netherlands )Old building and it was nice inside....love that style. But the band ( duo ) guitar and a woman who sing....aaauuww terrible.Food and drinks were oke...Go there for a second time ...?...no...but i will send the flag of the Netherlands. Forgot to do it...R.I.P Bill Luckett.
Bartenders are some of the best I have ever encountered. Being called by my first name every time, incredible! The best margaritas!!!
We had the best time at Ground Zero Blues Club. We also stayed overnight in “Morgan’s Apartment” in the Delta Cotton Company Apartments above the Club. T, you are amazing and we loved meeting you and you and your team’s hospitality was awesome! We loved our meal, our drinks, the music was wonderful, and the location itself is eclectic and everything you want in a blues joint. We cannot wait to come back and we’ll follow along on Facebook until the next time!
12/29 2018Really good ole blues bar, with decent food. I was scared by some of these other reviews, and actually was hesitant to go, but decided to try it anyway. Im glad that I did. My wife and 3 young daughters really enjoyed the place and the food as well. NO COVER CHARGE at all during the afternoon that I was there for lunch, call before you go if thats a make or break for you. There may be cover charges at night when the bigger bands play, but none for the afternoon music. There was a wedding party there, other locals just drinking listening to the band. If youre not up tight, you will likely really like this place. My kids played pool at the free pool tables while we waited for our food. Our waitress T was very nice, and a pleasure to talk to. I asked for my Highway 61 burger done medium, it came out perfectly cooked, a little pink inside as I love my burger. The nachos with pulled pork was my wifes choice, and was a huge portion, also delicious. The kids were happy with there kids meals as well. Our total bill was $35. (No drinks, just water drinkers here) so not expensive at all. This is my first review, and I felt compelled to share my experience at Ground Zero because I really liked the place, and recommend trying it for yourself, youll be glad you did.
Place has blues atmosphere.Food was nothing to brag about. Plus at was cold. Ordered the BBQ Pork.
Staid above ground zero and MS. T along with her staff (Sawanna especially 😘) were AMAZING! So accommodating, love it here!
Neat place -- definitely an iconic blues location.Less than impressed with LaLa Craig. For all the hype, her band would have been better as a three-piece.
I love the Blues Bands that come through here! Great place to take visiting friends. Best fried pickles in the universe! Decent beer selection, offering many local choices. The negative reviews that you read about poor/slow service are consistently true (I’ve been here 10+ times and server staff is 100% underperforming other places), but you must consider this place’s intent: music venue, NOT fast food.
Such a fun, unique place! The music is always excellent and so is the food, drinks, and service. A lot of interesting people pass through! One of a kind.
There isn’t another place like this anywhere. It’s one of a kind and most excellent! Put it on your bucket list if you love the blues.
On our way from New Orleans to Memphis - booked a big room upstairs for 2 nights. Worked out well. Great staff and good times in Clarkesdale. Thanks for keeping the music alive!
Love this place. No pretence just decent food, straightforward drinks (no foo foo) and excellent live music. This is the essence of what Clarksdale is.
Awesome place for music and food. Some of the staff are a little unscrupulous. I was overcharged for drinks I did not purchase and got sent to the court (managers office) where I faced the judge (the manager) and the eyewitness (the server). I testified that I had not purchased nine alcoholic beverages, and the judge determined I was not only lying but I was drunk. Ha! I was blamed for the problem because I was ordering at the bar, but the server was so slow I had no other option. Meanwhile, during my testimony the manager and server took turns rolling their eyes at me and sucking their teeth. Honestly, just take off the bogus charges- thats all I ask! Neat place, just go over your bill closely.
Good place to hear live blues music. Great sound
I visited with a group of 19 and we had a blast. Nice spot!
Amazing atmosphere. Band was incredible.
Love music, southern pub grub, fun crowd
I WENT TWO MF HOURS OUT OF MY WAY FOR THIS PLACE AND IT WAS 1000% WORTH IT! The music was everything!!! THE FOOD! oh man the food! Yes Hell yes! The vibes the service EVERTHING! MUST VISIT IF IN MISSISSIPPI AT ALL. ANYWHERE IN MISSISSIPPI YA GOTTA GO! Smells a lil funky when ya go in but u get used to it quickly. Got the fried green yomato sammich and let me tell you! Yes yes yes!
Good food and even better music. Its a safe bet that you can go any given Wed-Sat night (and any other night for that matter) and find amazing live music being played. My wife and I were blessed on our 10YR anniversary to see John Primer, live. He did not disappoint. Hope to visit Clarksdale again. I dont think well wait 10yrs to do it either. BTW, order the Tamales...
Three friends and I when to Ground Zero Blues Club for lunch today. The atmosphere was cool. The food was good but would had been better if the server had delivered it to the table while it was hot. The service by the staff was awful. They acted as it we didnt matter. To top it off, the service blamed the kitchen crew. We saw out order placed on the food bar and left for at least 20 minutes and then served because I complained.
One of the best Blues Club in the United States, 2nd only to Buddy Guys Legends in Chicago, Illinois. The live performances, southern hospitality, delicious Soul food, and delicious cocktails are absolutely phenomenal!!!!
Went with a group of friends. 2nd trip to Ground Zero. Love the atmosphere, staff and bands and rooms upstairs. We wish they could play longer than midnight. My only advice to anyone going , is to keep any cash you have on your body. Money taken out of purses but left other valuables. But still had great time.
First stop on the trip! What a great experience! Everyone was so nice and welcoming! T is the best! We had a ball talking to her! She took time out of a busy night just to chat with us and tell us a little more about the venue and the town. Great service and tasty food! Thanks T! Well be back soon!
Go for the music. Get some good drinks. The food is hit or miss. The service is often a miss. This club stays packed. The venue is fun and lively. I havent had food there that I finished and the wait staff is often dismissive and slow, so I prefer just going to get my own drinks at the bar. This is definitely a locale you should hit if youre in Clarksdale, but think of it as a bar and music venue, not a restaurant.
Was Finally in the area returning from a trip to Florida, and stopped to spend the night and take in the Zach Koch band. Was Not Disappointed😁. Amazing show, accommodations were awesome Fantastic staff. Will stop by anytime Im in the area! Thanks Tea!!!
A living legend. We visited a few years ago and have great memories of it still. Well be back for sure. Live Blues music and great food. What else could someone ask for?
Very dirty, poor service and high coverage charge on a band that was playing the next night a free show. Will Not be back. Place is disgusting.
Do NOT go here to eat food! The worst, soggy, and barely warm fries Ive ever had. Catfish was BLAND and also barely cooked enough (didnt eat the middle thick part) and hush puppies also luke warm and barely cooked. I feel like the fries and hushpuppues came directly from under a hot lamp, sad part is that we were 2 of only 10 customers in the whole place. HUGE disappointment. If I was Morgan Freeman I wouldnt want this place associated with me. Just awful.
This is one of my most frequented destinations. If youre looking for great music, great food, in a relaxing and inviting environment - this is the place! There is nothing fancy here, and rightfully so. Its the kind of place you can let loose without any cares in the world. I have brought many friends and family members here and every single one of them fall in love with the place. If possible, book a room upstairs in advance so you dont have to travel far at night. Theres plenty to do in the area, and if you are a blues fan (which you darn well should be), theres no end to the local shops, juke joints, and music venues nearby.I like to spend 3 nights and 4 days generally so I can take my time and visit all that I can. Also, theres always a chance of bumping into Morgan Freemon. Hes a terrific guy if you get the opportunity to meet him.And dont forget to sign your name on the wall - if you can find a place.
I hate to give a negative review because this place was pretty cool; good atmosphere, history and not a bad band playing. But its a total tourist trap! Got a pitcher of their cheapest lager, they charged it as 4 drinks ($24+tip) and it only had 3 drinks worth. No wonder theres no locals there
We usually go once a year to eat and enjoy time with our family. It takes us about an hour to get there. We had not been in a couple of years and they just reopened after Covid. First of all, the staff was top notch. The reason Im giving a low score is because we went expecting the food weve loved. We got there and the menu was limited. Most of us ended up ordering burgers (which was not what we wanted) We come from Indianola (BB Kings hometown). We have good restaurants and we dont travel an hour to get a burger. It was also very expensive for just burgers and the appetizers we got were half the size we would get before. It was very disappointing and a lesson learned. I dont believe we will go out of our way again to eat here.
Worst service ever. Not crowded at all and because the two bartenders stayed on their phones, it took forever to get a beer with them standing a foot in front of you. Waiters/staff ignoring tables and the people walking in the door. Blues were great but even the singer couldn’t get a coke. Don’t waste your time. I give this a solid ground ZERO revue. Morgan Freeman should take his name off of this place to avoid further embarrassment.
If you are traveling to/through or visiting Clarksdale, MS. Please stop by Ground Zero Blues Club and get your grub and drink on.
Had a teenager with us, so went a little after lunch time. But, before it got too late in the evening. Not too many people during that time of day. Which gave us a chance to actually look around and take in the atmosphere & history. The loaded baked potato was just ok. However, the fried pecan pie was amazing! If you like pecan pie at all, youll love fried pecan pie. If I had the time, I would drive the 500 miles just for the pie!
Love the blues. Then you love Ground Zero. Ms T has a passion for the music and the place. Gets great bands.Great juke joint vibe. Full bar and great staff.8 quest rooms on property. Each one unique. We love the newest room on sunflower street. We love start the day with a visit to Cat Head Delta Blues and Folk Art. Then catch Clarksdale’s opening act at Bad Apple Blues Club before landing at Ground Zero.
My wife and I was here 2 years ago. It was early when we arrived, so we ordered a few beers and some catfish. Beer was cold, food was good. We love the atmosphere and the entertainment was just as good as we saw on Beale St that following weekend.
This was a great experience. Very good service, cold beers, friendly people. Music anytime you go. Reminds me of BBS Lawnside BBQ at home in Kansas City. Has an aura of old souls floating through it.
Interior feels like an authentic blues bar. Decent selection of beers, but theyre challenged to serve the brand youve ordered and paid for. But the biggest issue we had was that they closed up and sent us out into the 90degree heat at 2 in the afternoon.
My husband brought me here for the first time tonight, I’ve wanted to go here ever since I heard Morgan Freeman opened it! The food for the most part was amazing (the okra needs salt and so does the fried catfish, otherwise spot on) the biggest problem was our server! (The you g, skinny white girl with glasses) she was the WORST, had to ask several times for our drinks to be filled, she took forever even coming to check on our table, that was the most frustrating thing with he. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Mr. Freeman, but, I am still glad we went!
What a fun and cool place—If you like Blues, even if you don’t but you enjoy music, Clarksdale is a must see destination; and GZ has to be one of your stops.
Great atmosphere. Came in for a late lunch on Thursday before the Juke Joint festival. Love the staff. The BBQ samache was huge and tasty. The peach cobbler was to die for.
Great food and music, always. Both times I have been there, Ive met people from around the world. It really is a world renowned blues club. Come as you are, everything is acceptable as far as attire is concerned.
What a huge disappointment. The staff was extremely unfriendly, there was no music playing so we had to ask them to turn it on and then it was so low we could barely hear it. The food was horrible and way overpriced.
We stopped by there on the way back from my sons graduation at Delta State. It took 45 minutes to get the appetizers we ordered and an hour and a half to get our meal. The food was really good but the waitress we had acted like she didnt care if we were waited on or not. Even after the horrible service they only offered to take 20% off our bill, As bad as the service was it should have been on the house. I will never go back, We could be treated that way anywhere. Very disappointed,
Pleasant atmosphere and a fun experience from the time we were greeted at the door to meeting one of the managers Ms. T. The ban was AWESOME. I even dance, and had a ball.
Don’t go. Not friendly. Not professional. They wouldn’t refund our $ after 5 min of entry. We still had our coats on and the band didn’t even play 1 song. Manager Candy wouldn’t face us. « We were told she just left out the back door ».
One of the coolest bar j have ever seen in ages.. Good music good people.. Very friendly people to be said.. I would come over here again definitely
I want to move to Clarksdale just to move into Ground Zero. Its just the right thing to do, considering all of the deliciousness and character this spot inhabits.Okay, not really.True story: I am all about this restaurant. The sweet lady who welcomes you during lunch is half of the reason for the great experience. She makes you feel like youre at home the moment you enter the restaurant. She offered incredible menu suggestions and knew that menu through and through. The food is ruh-diculous and the ambiance is organic and perfectly imperfect.Go to Ground Zero, but be sure someone or something can peel you away.I dont think I would ever leave if I saw a band on that stage. I cant go back or Ill get sucked into their vortex of perfection. Glad I had to go to work.P.S. Basic Burger with Cheese for life!
The band was great, the cover was low, the beer was cold. I was there too late to try the food, maybe next time. They have occasional drink specials now, the special on the Friday night I went was PBR or MGD cans for $2.50.
$1.25 to add cheese, $7 for a blue moon draft, $9 for a plastic thimble of Jameson. Mr. Hollywood and Mr. Mayor are proud of their Manhattan prices in their tourist trap. That being said food, service and tunes were good.
Worst experience. Called ahead to reserve a table for a large group. The restaurant stated they could accommodate. Clearly this was not the case because the waitress came out to check on the table and didnt realize we did not receive our meals. After cancelling the order because the rest of the group finished eating, the owner and manager attempted to make me pay for food I did not receive. Horrible customer service. I will never return!
I/we visited this club on 7-11-2018. I must say that it really is authentic in decor as well as the waitress that took our order and served our food. BKA Resa, was as genuinely friendly and helpful on our visit as she could be. Graffiti was everywhere. This and that on the walls and even in the restrooms. Wild and crazy in a very good way on the inside and outside. I love the place. Thanks Resa!
I visited last month and was there in between hours of service... I was very disappointed, however, I will return and hope to choose the night/day the Morgan Freeman is there! I love him and look forward to meeting him! I got pics of the establishment and surrounding area!
Food was ok but the 5 stars is for the music! It was AWESOME! I would definitely go back to see Keith Johnson and Big Muddy Band again!
Sorry to say, but forget this place. The band wasnt ready. Mics would not work. The sound horrible while the engineer sitting at the bar and the musician had to get him back to the PA to adjust. Lights would not work so the stage looked hibernating. The waitress damn good but the food mediocre. This place is by far no tribute to the legacy of this town and the ambassadors of the Blues.
We stayed upstairs for 2 nights, let me tell you that a book should not be judged by its cover. The rooms were immaculate and gigantic, and a keypad for locking your door. Extremely nice, was not expecting this.
My wife and I stayed @ GZBC (above the club) for 2 nights @ the end of April (2014). Great welcoming folks who are are warm & extremely down-to-earth friendly. We felt right at home. The entertainment was solid and so was the chow. Great Bang for the Buck! Weve traveled all over the world in our lifetime & if you love people, (real people) and meeting folks from far & wide with a similar affection for THE BLUES...then this is the place to stay!Mike & TerryP.S. Dont miss Reds either while youre there. Its just across the tracks.
Best burger in the South, Ms.Tameal and the crew are delightful hosts. Great music. Authentic juke joint vibes.
Great atmosphere, saw Lucious singing. Wonderful writing all over the place and flags from many different places. Don’t go for the food. That was “meh”
Nice atmosphere, the people were so friendly. Nice place to go for green fried tomatoes
This bar becomes so fantastic when you dont know what you can expect of it: so many movement and life in an old house facade. Oh... the inside contents is much more you think its possible. So, go on and enjoy it.
A fun place, great music, great people, good food and drink, great atmosphere. What more could you ask?
OMG I think I might be the most fortunate person alive for this one reason. I actually am employed at G.Z., which is how I refer to this job. By far the best and most favorite job I have ever had. On the other hand it does not pay much, and you really gotta love your job to put up with the soap opera type atmosphere of a family managed business. I will tell you all that if you are looking to have a real fun and memorable experience, and you love the blues, then this is definitely the place to visit.
We loved the food and atmosphere. Sawanna was the best server ever. Love this place and the atmosphere.
Great atmosphere but Sprint has no cell phone service in Clarksdale, MS. no cell no GPS and it is in the cotton fields. Didnt try the food but the local draft beer was great!!!
Overhyped place. The food was not to good. They dumped all the starters and mains at the same moment on our table. Not nice. Food itself was just greasy, mostly deepfried grub. Dissapointing.
The joint was Rocking! @ the Clarksdale Juke Joint Festival. Good service and great music. Only so many were allowed in at a time due to covid, but that didnt stop the party. 😎
Great place to visit, nice food, would have loved to hear some blues that evening but were only passing through.
Burgers are not edible, the blues band is - well, Im not gonna say. My last time at this tourist trap. Ground Zero is doing the legacy of this great African-American art form - the Blues - no favour. What my friends and I had to listen to, was frankly unbearable. Eat up (or not) and outta here!!!!#disrespectingthebluesanditsrealplayers!!
A must visit. Great food great bands. I can feel the music from my head down to my shoes. Im poor and im from Mississippi and damn right i got the blues.
BEST BAR B Q I EVER TASTED. WAITRESS VERY SWEET AND NICE...WISHED I COULD EAT HERE EVERY NIGHT.... JUST PASSING THROUGH ON VACATION FROM DENVER, CO. IN FACT IT IS A HELL OF ALOT BETTER THAN FAMOUS RENDEZVOUS IN MEMPHIS TN....
This place is Fantastic!! Georgia welcomed us with a hug, and was as sweet as the Blackberry Cobbler she served. Great food, great place!
Great service with the delta vibe. Good beer and food. Usually worthy bands that make you want to stay and listen till midnight
We had a wonderful time. Friendly staff, great service and the food was delicious. Looking forward to driving down again in the near future.
My experience was great, the band sweet Tea was great, its a good place to go to hear the blues no violence no profanity no drugs no smoking inside the building no problems only $10 admission per person must be 21 the food is good and reasonable,so if you like blues and good clean fun (Ground Zero Clarksdale MS) is the place to be!
I ordered the fried green tomato sammich with a burger patty - delicious and more than i could eat. unique one-of-a-kind restaurant
Great music, great service
Its just OK. If youre here for blues youd be better off going to Reds. If youre here for food youd be better off going to Abes. If you want to say youve been to Morgan Freemans club then come here.
Love the live music. Stiff drinks and good bar food. Co-Owner (not Morgan Freeman) is the nicest guy. Staff are fantastic.
As if the one night were in Mississippi we happen to see Morgan Freeman! What?!What a fun spot, danced with random biker men and had one hell of a time! Thanks!Food is whatever.
I absolutely love this place. Food is great. Service is great. Love the look and design of the building. Inside is awesome. I rate it a 10. I am from Arkansas.
What a MOST excellent time! Come for the music 🎼🎶🎵🎤 and also the atmosphere. Then you will find the friendliest people and a super night!
Great bar in the city/ bit empty city other than this nice place. 12 dlls cover charge
Really cool place, the food is great and there are signatures literally everywhere in the bar including the bathrooms
Music was great! Food was cold and not that good. There was a $10 cover charge even for kids
Awesome music and food, very friendly people there! A must go to for Authentic Blues music. ...
The catfish platter gave me life without getting drunk... G baby enjoyed her meal a great family place in day time
The service was terrible and food was ok and the music was good and other than that I hated the time I spent there and I absolutely hated it and I’m not coming back I was so mad I did not even what to pay.
When open it was good. Not much to impress you from the outside, but great food and good talent that plays there. Closed because of COVID 19
Good food! Our service was great! Music was great, as well! Really enjoyed ourselves!
I love the music however tonight the music was extremely loud. So loud we we were not able to enjoy ourselves.
Amazing. Great crowd and ambient. The bands and the vibe of the venue is amazing. Definitely a place to visit.
The place is awesome, the aesthetic, the food, etc. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that service was horrible (but I think it was just our waitress, the others seemed fine)
Stumbled across Ground Zero by accident after visiting The Crossroads.Had a great time good beer and fantastic music !! What more could you ask for !!
Great service great food and great time friendly corner bar feel thanks was awsome
Really great music there. Always a good act. I enjoy the food
Pretty fun and some good music not the best joint in town but one to check out.
Best Catfish Ive ever had. Nice people working the bar. Lots of character.
Great place to perform and catch live music. The food is solid
Really outstanding music if youre into the blues great drinks and fun time for all
Good service, good food, good beer, awesome blues. If youre visiting Clarksdale do yourself a favor and check it out.
Place was amazing, we shot vidéo there for Chapel Hart
Friendly party crowd. Great food & huge portions. Of course the music is on hit!
Really enjoyed the band and good atmosphere. Pretty slow service, middle of the road food.
Great place, didnt get chance to really hang out, but it was a pleasure to experience.
Very cool blues bar with good bar food. There are even rooms you can stay in upstairs.
Great live music and food. Perfect for a Mississippi Delta blues experience.
Great food, amazing music!!!
We love Ground Zero.....cant wait to get back there. Great venue, good food and friendly staff.
The atmosphere is great, the entertainment is phenomenal and the food is amazing
Great food, friendly staff and a great place to relax and listen to music.
Good music. Drinks could be better. Didnt try the food
Great place to hear the blues. Friendly staff and good drinks.
Great atmosphere. But food and service has slipped a lot over the past year.
Lovely atmosphere ,lovely food & good music we had a great time .
If you love live blues , great food, good drinks & great company...this is the place for you!
FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!WE HAD A BLAST! BEST WEEKEND GETAWAY!SERVICE WAS AMAZING AND THE MUSIC WAS GREAT
The music is good and the drinks are reasonable atmosphere is great
Just see if doing blues trail or if not. Great music fun. Great atmosphere.
Wonderful atmosphere. Nostalgic decor. Friendly staff. Owner was very nice.
Great music. Morgan Freeman dropped in for a birthday party. Got to visit with bluesman Josh Razorblade Stewart.
Food good, prices reasonable, atmosphere really cool, friendly service.
Super Sweet Staff all over the place! Band was GREAT!! First time there!
Havent made it there yet but will there next weekend. Lifetime dream for me. I know it is awesome!
A very unique, funky, happy place to enjoy authentic blues and adult beverages.
The waitress and manager was really nice!! And the food was delicious!!
Very cool place, wonderful live music 💨🤙
Would have been nice to have stopped in. 4:00 on a Monday and its closed. Looks like it has been closed for a long time.
