Amorama Latin Night Club

Im visiting on vacation. I went last night which was Friday 12th 2024. I wanted to find a nice Latin spot to get a couple drinks and relax while listening to good music. There was probably around 25 people there when I was there around 930pm. Great atmosphere and the bartender was great. Very beautiful and friendly. Drinks was on point and cheaper than I expected. I might go back tonight to see how the Saturday night crowd is. All in all it was a great experience.

Weve been coming here for 2 years. Its a clean safe club with awesome latin dance music for ALL ages. Plenty of seating and an always friendly crowd. Located right on Ulmerton Rd. Lots of parking.

It was okay. The DJ plays a lot of Salsa because he likes to dance that. He does not play updated music. He plays what he likes I guess. The DJ does not interact with the people no shout outs, nothing. The people are an older crowd which I loved. You have to walk to the bar and get your drinks no one comes to the table and the bar is always crowded. If you are not careful and paying attention they will charge you different prices for the same drinks. The second time I went I caught it because the first time I seen the bank statement. When I called them out their response was oh and since then they have been charging me the correct price for the same drink. If you are not careful you will be screwed.

My wife and I had a great time, they play a good variety of different music, old school, bachata, merengue and salsa, the crowd was 21 and up, really great atmosphere.

First DJ don’t play updated musics this should be a salsa club. I’m use to seeing DJ’s playing updated merengue bachata etc… Dj is also very quiet in the mic. You need to walk to the bar to get your drinks. I did not feel safe at one point there were drunk mens next to the woman’s bathroom. They will not let me pass because I said no I will not dance with them. They need security by the bathrooms. After 2 hours I left I started to yawn and I was tired of going through a war just to use the lady’s bathroom. I won’t be back. Looking for another Latin club.

Nice place, great music. Unfortunately the place is cheap and therefore there are lots of trashy drunks messing around. Feels like a low-end bar rather than a night club. Hope it will change for better. We would like to come back. Dj was great on Saturday

Bachata, Merengue, Salsa and a few Latin hip hop. Great experience and it was fun. Came from NJ to celebrate my bachelorette and we googled a latin spot and this came up. But FYI the crowd is mostly people of 40 and up. We didnt care because we were a group of girls and we had fun together but if you are looking for a younger crowd might not be for you.

Amorama Latin Night Club has the perfect balance of class and fun. The staff is attentive and professional, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. The drink prices are reasonable, and the music never disappoints. Preferable.

Went on a Friday and had a great time! Small place with a cozy feeling. Music was well balanced and very danceable. People seemed nice. Older crowd that knows how to Latin dance. Went with my husband but it felt safe to go alone.

Friday DJ not good why are we listening 80s music it’s 2023.

I will give 5 starts if you change the DJ, the music is very important here, most of the time put music is a no a classic, or never people listens before , or to old music. You will know when the room is full of dancer when the music is good . Otherwise just dancing a few people.

Fun latin nite club. Good music and drinks. Kind of far but worth the trip.

Excellent DJ. The music is perfect for Salsa and Merengue and Bachata Dancing. Drinks are reasonably priced. Most of the crowd are super friendly. Its always fun there 😉

Cover was 8$ per person then door guy has the balls to ask for tips. SMH!Mixed drinks were $16 each. Really way too much on top of it being watered down. I mean a cruise, or even Vegas aint that much. The place was empty on a Friday night. Seems they are overcharging to be able to stay afloat. Even w inflation in full effect, a mixed drink should not exceed $12. Attend at your own risk. Youve been warned.

This place is a fun good Spanish dancing club to go to. They play a 5⭐️ mixture of good songs, bachata, salsa, merengue, some pop and Reggeton they also have a good bar. Plus everybody is nice and it is worth to go. 70% of the people at the club are over 50 but it is still fun. If your learning or want to listen to and dance to Spanish music many of the people will dance with you and be nice. This is a fun and nice spanish club to dance at😁!

Great music and as experienced dancers we find it has the best dance floor in Tampa Bay! My wife and I travel 53 miles to enjoy the dancing as well as friendly people plus the owners know how to run a good safe club. Keep on dancing!!!

I was just there for my bday two weeks ago. It was amazing, great latin music, and the drinks were phenomenal. A night of just beautiful dancers. They brought a Mariachi band What!!! Amazing!!!

My wife and I go almost week. The staff is friendly. We enjoy not having to go to Tampa to find a Latin club. We have been dancing to latin music for a long time in a lot of places and this is one of the nicer ones for its purpose. It is nice to find a place where most people actually go to dance and not stand around on the dance floor talking.The club I think serves its purpose. Not meant to be large but ,enjoyable to us.

Nice admosphere, nice crowd, nice dance floor, but it seems like they have a new dj now. He plays good music, the only thing is he plays 90% of merengue - bachata - regueton. So , if you love salsa you might have to wait at least 40 minutes to dance two or three salsa songs only. They could do better!!

Im going to update my review from the last one that was given to this location, very impressed with the music selection on this last visit. Dance floor was full and everyone was having a great time. Will definitely return.

Music was great. I really like to dance salsa mostly and i found a good balance between salsa, bachata and merengue.The only problem is that 90% of the people are over 50. I would not recommend this place to young people. Overall I had a good time anyway.

I love this place! I can take my parents, coworkers, and friends comfortably to Amorama. You know cuando tienes reuniones de familia y pasan toda la noche bailando... thats what this place gives.If you like salsa, merengue and bachata, with sprinkle of cumbia and the always out of place ranchera but your drunk by then so you dance to it anyway. Then this is the place for you!!!The bartenders are the sweetest!!! Even if they dont remember your name they remember your face y siempre atienden bien.Yes it is sometimes an older crowd, but so what, they dance better. I honestly have no complaints about this place. When I want to dance but not go to a Tampa club.. this is the place for me!

We really enjoy going to dance there, we feel that the place is safe, so far we have been going for 2 years and everything is good, no fights.

I go Wednesday nights since there are dance classes and then you can practice. Friendly environment, and you dont need to buy a bottle to reserve a table, it is just first come first serve. Come have a dance with the great dancers from Simones Salsa

It’s a great place with a great ambiance. However, I would of gave it a 5 ⭐️‘s if they had a better DJ. It needs more of a Latino mix that caters to all genres!

Ive been to the Amorama club two times. I like it because its small and all adults. the first time i went was great. the second time, was NOT so great. The music was the problem. the selection of music was fine. the songs was great, but the DJ never let the sound finish. he almost cut every song. thats not good when your dancing and your into the sound that you like and it stops before its over. sometimes even got cut in the middle of the song. MR, DJ, thats not a good thing. Im going again tonite with some friends and I hope the music problem got better. Also the selection of drinks needs to be larger. I like fruity drinks that this place does not have. come, come Amorama people. listen to you customers...

I have not been here yet, but its the closest latin club to where I live, though its still a bit of a drive. I grew up dancing bachata, salsa, merengue, and even some cumbia and rancheros with friends. It would be nice to find a place that plays this variety because thats typically what people that go to a latin club are looking for. Theres probably a few that want a reggaeton song here and there. But Ive read some reviews that said they played a lot of American music when there were a lot of Americans in there. Well, Im American but that doesnt mean that I would go to a latin club looking to dance to American music. If I drove out there to dance salsa, merengue, bachata (My favorite), etc and they saw me and started playing American music, that would be pretty annoying. If I wanted to dance to American music why would I go to a latin club? Hopefully, when I do go they are playing latin music.

THIS is how they play theyre music: 3 bachata songs, 3 salsa songs, 3 merengue songs.And they repeat that ALL NIGHT... Once you start to get in the groove of a genre of music, they change it. annoying.,Its good for older people. they dont play ANY reggaeton :( which is why i wanted to try Amorama.i give it a 2.8 out of 5 since atmosphere is fun.

Friday night 10 pm and no one was there . Like empty .The door man then wanted 10 dollars to get in? Does the dj play any slow songs?

Tonight was not what I expected. It was mostly old salsa and merengues, a small dancing space and probably good for the older 50s yr crowd. Maybe it is a good place another nights, but definitely not tonight 😖😢

Good latin dancing music, terrible drink prices. Zephyrhills small water bottle $3. Cover Sat night $13 total for couple. Prices dont match the atmosphere. It is not upscale.

Good wood dance floor...get there early for a table and to carve out your own space on the dance floor. Youll dance to salsa, meringue and bacchata! I know how to spell meringue, but the system overrides it! LOL

Not even deserving of one star!On new years one hour before closing they were charging full cover! We tried to convience them to let me in free with my boyfriends paid entrance. They said no. Very rudely....low class nightclub!

Great authentic Latin music ( no reggeaton), fun mature crowd, space to dance, cheap cover, and a good a/c... What more can you ask for!!?

This place is a dive. Do yourselves a favor and save the $20 per person, on Saturdays, for a squalid place full of people dressed like they were at a flea market. Wont go back there even if it were the last place to dance.

We really had fun, we dance until 24th turned the lights on, so we knew was time to go home

This place is good if you go with friends to have a good time or as a couple as a date night. However, if you are going to dance and have a good time as a single person, you better choose another place. Other than that, the music is put in the classical form (3 of each genre) which is not bad, but leaves a lot to be desired. Anyway, good atmosphere, a lot of people (I went around midnight) but you have to know the kind of club you are looking for before searching.

They dont sell food and you order your drinks at the bar...

Place with a high frequency of people, mainly Latinos, the music is not the best because the merengue is abused and it is not updated either and the service for me is not correct, you have to go to the bar and sometimes the lines are long.

Excellent place to dance Latin music. I said goodbye to the year there for the first time and it has been one of the best years. We danced a lot and excellent orchestra

Very good atmosphere and 🍹 🍸 but the music has to improve. The salsa is from the 80s, not much reggeton, the most they play is bachatas.

The place is cool but it needs a little more space since it gets very crowded and it is super uncomfortable to dance on the floor but good music
