I went in last week with a group of about 12 who were in town for a conference. The place was empty for some reason. Our server was very attentive, had no issues giving us all individual checks, and made us feel very welcome. Oh, and did I mention it was $5 Burger night? Im not talking about a little slider -- Build your own burger, with fries or tater tots, for five bucks. We lucked out finding this place
I love going out to Barley House with my friends! We especially love the newly renovated Grotto which is their Cigar and Bourbon Lounge. The staff was extremely knowledgable about their bourbon selection and Lexie made a great old fashioned for my boyfriend. Couldnt be more pleased with the service and atmosphere there!
Had a get together with some friends, great atmosphere, we had bar food which is delicious. The server was very friendly.
I understand bouncers have a job to do but at the same time its all about how you do your job, as a patron of this establishment I didnt appreciate how one of the bouncers was(specifically the tall older white guy ) unnecessarily being disrespectful when there was no need for that when were already complying with orders to leave the establishment. Its that kind of conduct thatll potentially escalate the situation instead of neutralizing the situation.
Absolutely amazing staff, clean and top notch venue, superb food, and the BEST gem in Cleveland! Their pizza is to die for! Will definitely be going back!
I visited Saturday night and loved the environment of the bar until the older tall skinny bouncer with a beard tied in pony tails yelled and scream-spit in my face for accidentally walking onto the table “sections” area when trying to purchase a bottle. We had asked how much it is ($350) and were waiting for the girl to return.. He grabbed my friend and I several times. Him and another bouncer made many race-based remarks. He also made REALLY inappropriate gestures to me. We just wanted to have a good time while we spent money on drinks & didn’t even know we were in his way. He could’ve asked politely, Wouldn’t go here again.
Awesome bar! The service was great even tho it was super busy. Its a fun bar to check out while in Cleveland.
Always so much fun when I go in! Great menu for a quick bite on lunch break or for dinner! Atmosphere at night is electric and one of the best downtown!
It’s a great place to go before and after Guardians games. Love the happy hour menu and the service is amazing! The workers are so nice and friendly, great vibe.
Just want to say how disappointed i was with this bar . We came out yesterday to patron this bar and 2 of us were turned away during the day time for having on a camo jacket and the other pants. It was st. Patricks day people relax. SO basically they turned away 9 people would would have patroned your bar but never again ! You would think one would be nicer to patron after they had a mass shooting and bar is barely making it!
I went to dinner here then went out after. The food was amazing and the night club scene was even better. Will definitely being going back:)
If you like dry burnt un seasoned burgers this place is for you. It only took them half an hour to bring drinks, and 1 hour for food. When you complain about it you will be greeted with rolling eyes and attitudes, after you wait 15 more minutes for an almost manager to show up and ask to remake it or deduct it off the bill. I chose not to wait another hour for 1 burger. I now would like deduct the one star rating I gave them to no stars at all. If you walk into a large restaurant to eat at peak time and its empty, LEAVE!!!
I was assaulted by a bouncer. One of bouncers here was overly aggressive and lifted me up and promptly threw me on the concrete unprovoked back first. I could have been paralyzed and the force of the throw shattered my phone screen.Update-5/1/23: Despite the response beneath claiming the damages were covered, Barley House has still not compensated me for the damage to my property caused by their former staff member and has as of today apparently decided to cease communication with me.Update: After speaking with management and explaining the situation they assured me this bouncer would no longer be working at barley house and agreed to cover the damages on my phone screen. The management was very respectful and listened to me.
Dina provides excellent customer service and makes me feel welcomed every time I come in!
This place is gross. And they are still violent. However, great place if youre looking for a fun bar fight.
I love Barley House! The staff is so friendly, everyone works so hard but also is very engaging with the customers. The spot to be at in the CLE!
After tailgating, five of us headed to Barley House to watch a Browns game and had a great experience. Food was excellent and the service was even better! The place was jammed, but the staff did a great job of keeping everyone happy. Well done, Barely House!
The food is consistently good, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is lively and fun, especially on weekends. They have a great selection of beers on tap. They offer happy hour specials. If youre looking for a great place to eat, drink, and have fun, Barley House is a great option.
I can’t recall the bartenders name, but she did a fantastic job!! (She was alone on Saturday lunch) We were there the weekend of the Browns home opener. The food was great and the place was hopping. We’d definitely recommend.
Had a group for a birthday party try and go here, everyone in late 30’s, good jobs, just trying to get out for a night. The one black guy in our group had ripped jeans on (the TINIEST rips on both knees) we were told at the door ripped jeans weren’t allowed even though several men and women inside had them on directly in front of our face: we were so disgusted and blown away by this treatment to the point I don’t ever leave bad reviews but felt compelled to. There’s several other great bars on that strip don’t support this one .
Very, very Very Cool Place!!! Hottest Bartenders In The City, and plus The Food is Awesome!! My Favorite Part is the Back Heated Patio.... Could make for a Great Tuesday Night Poker Room!!! ;) The Fact that President Clinton Partied their is Rock Star Status!! Thank You for The Bartenders.... How Do You Do It?!?! Fudge....4am Bar on Saturday Nights?!!!!!!!
Amazing service and staff is excellent and great drink options
Guess Im outgrowing the atmosphere due to my age, but I definitely give credit when due. Its nice every blue moon to have somewhere safe & lively to hang out.Everyone we encountered were super nice and cool vibes. Dj was good. Kat the Womans Concierge is ALWAYS SUPER AMAZING!!!
Pleasant greetings and servers. Got drinks and waitress kept them full. Food took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to our table. Every order was over salted, missing items, and one dinner was not even made. Definitely has problems in the kitchen . Was not impressed.
Completely awful from 5 minutes of sitting down until the end. 8 people. Decent bar tab. 8 meals ordered. 7 orders received. 4 of the 7 were incorrect. One taken back because of dietary restrictions and it was never returned. Just completely horrible. Waitstaff continually running down the hallway towards restrooms and not towards the kitchen. So so many things wrong here. Arrived 4pm left 6:30 after a 20 minute discussion with server on $64 tab when in all actuality it was $31. Do better Barley House. I used to frequent when I worked across the street and they never missed a beat. Referred many a people. No more.
The best spot in cleveland. Great food, great drinks, great staff, and a great atmosphere.
Fun spot. We went after the Browns home opener and it was a vibe. Security was nice. Bartenders pleasant and ppl were in a great mood so it worked out well.
Me and a few girlfriends recently visited this location because they were holding an event called “Girls night out”. We have never been here previously so we didn’t know what to expect. We were greeted by a very friendly doorman. When we entered we were “welcomed” by unfriendly servers who had trouble figuring out where to seat us. Two women in our group were in wheelchairs. We were unable to sit at the upper level because it wasn’t handicap accessible, which is a pretty big strike for us.We had to sit on the main level with the high top tables (we were also told that we would have to go to the bar and place our orders instead of having a server come to us. I guess they don’t “service” the high top tables. Although clearly we were unable to go to the upper level so we were hoping they would make an exception for us.)They sat us all the way in the back and we were barely able to see the stage. We got there about 30 minutes before the show even began and there were hardly any people in the bar. They could’ve sat us at a table where we would be able to enjoy the show. Especially with having two individuals in wheelchairs.I did not have good experiences with either of the female bartenders. They were both very confused and could not make drinks properly. They want you to stick to the menu of their overpriced cocktails with hardly any alcohol in them. When I attempted to get a certain drink or shot, they said they didn’t have that ingredient or they didn’t know how to make it. They then shoved the menu on me and basically said “stick to this”. Very rude, very short. Some women in the group ordered food, it came out pretty late and the fried pickles were left behind and when we mentioned where they were the girl brought them out and said “Sorry for your wait” and handed us cold friend pickles. Definitely forgotten, on accident or purpose? The bathroom WAS NOT fully handicap accessible. My friend in her motorized wheelchair could not even fit in one of their stalls. Most of the night the bartenders were lined up toward the back, not busy. The girls were all rude and extremely unfriendly or unwilling to help. They were avoidant from the beginning. The only Barley House worker that we had a very nice experience with, was the nice doorman that greeted us at the beginning. He also got us wristbands since we were unable to do so, which made it so easy on us. And he turned off the fan that was directly on us and kept looking over at us to make sure we were accommodated for. Very sweet and I wish I got his name. All in all I honestly wouldn’t recommend this bar. The staff In horrible, with the one exception. The drinks are awful and the vibe is definitely “off”.None of us will be returning, and I highly suggest you don’t visit this particular establishment.
I had a negative experience at this establishment. My friends and I were permitted to enter the club and immediately thrown out because one of us had an ice cream. Bouncers screamed go learn some English. I called the club multiple times to share my experience, but the manager refused to talk to me. It is disturbing that this behavior is permitted at a venue in a culturally diverse city. If you speak with an accent, I do not recommend visiting this venue, you will feel unwelcome here. The venue is unaware that entire US was based on immigration and their ancestors had to learn English. Im just appalled.
Great bar scene in a cool area of downtown. Service can be tough on the weekend but that’s to be expected. Good music great atmosphere and decent drinks. I was denied once however for wearing timberland boots
Becky made the best dirty martini ever. So polite so accommodating. Go see Becky!
Slow service and took over an hour to get food and we didnt get all of our food. Didnt ask for the waitress to remove it from the bill because we figured that would take forever as well. The only think fun was the girl that tends the bathroom. She is great
Was here for a Christmas Bar Crawl, great atmosphere, and unlike a few other bars on the Crawl, the DJs played the music at a level that we could still converse with each other.
Great service. Pretzels with cheese dip great appetizer. They carry Labatt Blue which other local bars don’t have. Appreciated the friendly service. Would return.
Im not sure how this place is still open. They wanted a $20 cover when there was practically no one inside. Once we got them to come down (I was with a group of 10), I ordered a Mich Ultra for $6.50. It was warm. They refused to give me another one. With all of the bars to choose from, youd think theyd treat their customers a little better. Guess Ill take my business elsewhere! Avoid at all costs and go to the many bars that dont charge a ridiculous cover!
The food wasnt that good. The tater tots has so much pepper on them I couldnt eat them. The biggest issue I have tho was I paid with a credit card. My bill was 22 dollars and some change. I left a 10 dollar tip but looked at my statement they put 100 tip down. Ive called and left messages on an answering machine and I talked to someone that said they would give my message to a manager. I have not been contacted back still. We will never go to this place again when we are in Cleveland.
We had Sydney as our server for an event and she was awesome! So fun and bubbly. We will definitely be back to see her!
The wrap was WAT to spicy, the fries for both orders were WAY to salty. My salad didnt have much lettuce in it. Didnt get to enjoy the wrap ,salad or the fries.
My wife and I came in for dinner and there was no hostess to greet us. There was this huge private party going on that took up half the restaurant. We waited several minutes before finally going up to the bar and asked to be seated. The response was Im not sure let me go ask the manager. We waited several more minutes before asking someone else. The same answer.... I dont know let me ask someone. So we just left to eat somewhere else. Very disappointing for out of towners like us that have heard good things about this place.
I have been to Barley many times. This was the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had. I, along with my boyfriend, were dancing and a bouncer came up and told me he needed to leave. I asked for what, and was told he didn’t need to give me a reason, but we both needed to leave the bar. We literally were only dancing and was asked to leave. I have never been so disrespected in my life. And to think, I have told MANY people to come here—I will NOT give my business to this bar ever again.
Becky made the best dirty martini & was beyond friendly &helpful! Love her!!!!
The drinks were reasonably priced, a fun atmosphere. Drastically changed vibe around 10pm from a restaurant/pub to a club type of feel. Bartenders were very friendly, professional, and I never had to wait too long to be served. I didnt order any food but I have heard it is good. Very fun, would go again certainly. Definitely enough seating as well.
Never going here again. All of the staff was rude and unprofessional. I booked a table for my friends and I for 14 of us and when I got there they said only 10 can come in. After having to argue with the bouncer and explain that I already booked 14 of us, they made rude comments and slowly let us in. Then once we got to the table we were ready to buy our 2 bottles. Waitress gives me the menu and asks what I would like to order. I said Pinnacle and Absolute and she said no I can’t give you that. Grey Goose is sponsoring the night so you have to buy that. I said why do I have a menu then? I was told I can pick whatever I wanted. She said the bottles were discounted down to 200 a per bottle and I said I wasn’t getting 200 dollar bottles. I had 1 at 150 and the other at 200. She refused and said all we get is Grey Goose. So I said fine do it then. She comes back and pours the entire bottle between 10 glasses because our other friends were not there yet. The entire bottle is gone in 1 min. Then as we are drinking them and have them on the table, another worker comes and takes our full glasses and dumps them. Our waitress comes back and tries to pour the other bottle and it has only been about 20 min at this point. I told her no, we are still drinking the first round you poured. Plus she poured heavy so she could get rid of the bottle. And then she proceeds to tell me that if we don’t start drinking, they will sell our table to someone else... when we’ve only been there for about 40 min at this point. I’m paying $500 for you to treat my friends and I like trash, make quick money and make us leave? What kind of business is that? I booked for 730 to 11 and we were only there for a little over an hour. Waste of my time and money and I have never been treated so poorly.
Ive only ever gone at night when its a club. Expensive drinks but youre downtown so everywhere is going to be a little pricey. Great music and a fun place to let loose. Clientele is a younger crowd so if youre looking for something sophisticated this isnt for you. I always have a good time. Location is easy to get to and its right by a lot of other bars/clubs.
Tonight I had the worst experience here. Staff and owner were very rude and from what I could see prejudice. My first time there I was told that my knee length biker shorts were not apart of dress code and that I needed to change in order to get in. After leaving and going home to return an hour later they then refused to let my husband in stating that he was not dressed correctly. This was not said when I was turned around prior though. The door staff was rude and the owner spoke very smart. I was sent home to change but watched them let guys in with athletic shorts on. Very bad experience and not a place for people of color
Great location before a Browns game but thats about it. Food takes forever to come out and is mediocre. They start using a smaller plastic cup at 1:00, but charge you the same price. They literally remove your bar stool at 2:00 with no explanation except, the owner says so. Bathrooms are dirty. Feels like management is just out to make a buck. Better options available in this great city.
So we went in for Browns game on Sunday. We were told by a group of patrons that we were trying to put our drinks on their tab. How unbelievable!!! The small little cocktail waitress told them that we were trying to do that! Not one of us would ever do that! We tried to tell them that and the cocktail waitress had us thrown out!!!!! We are all still in disbelief!!! How can this happen????? We will NEVER forget this bar or this experience!!!!!!! How unfair and how cruel!!!!! We intend to tell our story to everyone !!!!!
Atmosphere is always on point every time I come here. Food always taste fresh. They will always keep my business every time I’m in town.
Stopped by for lunch while on a trip. Food was FANTASTIC. Service was super friendly and we loved the music!
Love this place. Would suggest to anyone
The place is nice but everything is way overpriced. The food has a price on the menu and on my receipt the price were higher. The food is not that great either. The lettuce on my salad was old and could see browning parts. The grilled chicken tasted like precooked chicken heated in a microwave. I am definitely not coming to this overpriced location.
Awesome place. Beautiful people and great service. I have to add this to my review...people are saying that Barley House discriminates, which is totally false. They have a wide variety of people allowed in their establishment, and do not discriminate. You will be required to be dressed to standards, and that means...not like we all are at a home cookout party... but dressed to be attending one of the TOP PARTY ESTABLISHMENTS IN CLEVELAND. The srevice has always been amazing, the staff is accommodating, and the the security staff protect the people who patronize their bar. If your looking for a wild, off the wall, crazy bar...this is not the place. If you want great drinks, great food, and an amazingly attentive bar staff... then this is your place.
Went there on a Sunday afternoon to watch the Browns game and have some food and drinks. Tables were $200 minimum spend. For a Sunday afternoon? I can see this type of policy for a night time club experience, but come on! Went somewhere else.
Good food and calmer during the day then at night... A good place to go eat during the day and a place to go clubbing at night.. The food was also good. They had a good selection of food and also a good selection of craft and domestic beers. Also the serving staff was also very friendly letting me sample . and encouraging the sample of beers was very nice... Also having very attractive staff was nice to look at . not that it added or took away if they did not. I would recommend this for a birthday party or a night on the town also if you are in town for the weekend the whole street has a lot of bars and restaurants to choose from if one was not to your liking. I would deff go back again and would recommend trying to someone else.
Omg that was my 1st time there and I had wings with sweet potato fries and of course 2 margaritas. My daughter had the loaded potato fries and buffalo chicken dip along with 2 margaritas. My grandson had chicken tenders and fries with a margarita. Everything was really good so was the service. I loved, loved the little fryer basket that the fries are served in. They are so cute. I will go back again. 👍👍👍👍👍
Definitely hands down not a place I would go just any day it s very unsafe and the management doesnt do anything to help at all take it from someone who lives here
This is a good restaurant with good food. I came here on a Saturday to eat lunch. I walked into the restaurant and was seated at a large, round table outside. I ordered a lemonade with no ice and some french fries. The lemonade came quickly, and it tasted quite good. I got a refill which also tasted quite good. When I got my refill, I ordered french fries, which took a very long time to get. I had to wait a very long time to get my food, which was disappointing. A couple sat down at the table next to me, ordered their food and drinks, got and ate the food and drinks, and left before I got my food. Another table next to me, which had four people, got their food after I ordered and finished it before I got my food. While waiting for my food, I used the bathroom, which pretty clean. When I got back from the bathroom, my food was ready. I ate my French fries which tasted quite good and left the restaurant afterwards. I gave this restaurant 4 stars because I had to wait for my food for an extremely long time.
Do not order from here. Straight robbery and no accountability. They are just sorry that’s all they could do for giving me 4 French fries with a $18 make your own burger. And I’m not exaggerating, literally four fries but they are sorry so that makes it better. Don’t waste your money or your time!!!!!
Service is always very poor the few times we have been here for lunch on Mondays. It takes a while to be seated, a while for drinks (just water), quite a while for your food, etc. In other words, its best to not come here if you are if you are in a hurry or have to be somewhere, like back to work, within an hour and a half. There arent many gluten free options except for their steak or a salad. I have ordered their steak a few times before and, although it is small, Ive only had problems with it the one time it was undercooked. Yesterdays visit I decided to get there blackened grouper sandwich without the bread and veggies. It took over 20 minutes to get my meal. When it arrived, it was very black so I assumed it had been overcooked. As I began to eat it, I realized that it was very spiced witch I think was part of why it was so black on the outside. The fish itself was also very rubbery, which is what Im not used to the few times but Ive had grouper. I had concerns that it was undercooked and just couldnt stomach trying to eat it.I definitely feel based upon my review and a few others that they need a bit of an overhaul with their current staff and current menu. We will not return to this restaurant, and suggest that you think twice before trying it yourself.
I was here for lunch twice. Ordered off the menu once and then had the soup and salad bar the next time. You can fill up in the soup and salad bar. Food is great and prices are fair. You can see that at night, its more of a party place. Definitely a theme with the servers attire, that theme is young and sexy.
Its an alright bar/club, if there were better options I would not go here but since its the only one of the nicest nightlife places in Cleveland you would find me there once in a while. Their VIP area is pretty neat, but I dont like how crowded it gets and the mess in the ladies room that is not being cleaned up is annoying. Some nights are better than the others.
Stops for a quick beer before the browns game. Pleasant atmosphere, attentive service, great crowd, good prices!Theres seating indoors and out on their patio, adjacent to the side door.
I’m seeing other people having the same issues with the weird dress code. I was denied entrance because of my jeans? They were slightly shredded but with patches underneath so no skin was even showing. This place did not appear to be a “classy” bar so I was very confused. The bouncers were rude about it too. Never trying this place again.
Worst bar in Cleveland. Owners and managers think their place is perfect so they don’t fix any of their problems. Celebrities go there because they treat them like royalty but they treat their normal customers awful. The bouncers think they are all tough and cool but they are actually cowards who get off on who they decide who they want to let in or not.
Im gonna be honest with you, the outfits deserve more than five stars, but the food is quite standard, however, no complaints with the food or service. A nice place for casual lunch or a better place to hangout later when they have a bit more of a party vibe going on.P.S. they have the largest margarita Ive ever seen.
Typical bar food, however it is still delicious and pricy. The atmosphere is super fun and casual. The staff is friendly and great to talk too. Overall a great place to spend some time and enjoy some food. Highly recommend the Pretzel Platter!
Lauren did a great job considering how busy it was. Topper was a Browns victory.
Ive been there three times now, and I only enjoyed one of the visits. Bouncers are either super nice or really cranky so it depends. Food is okay, but their management is terrible. Also, Im very disappointed on how they took care of the whole YouTube Star fight incident; cant believe I was at the same place just a week ago. Very disappointing.
Planned a conference event here for an idle Tuesday night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pricing for a 110+ person event was very reasonable. The crowd on a Saturday night was VERY different from our group on a Tuesday, but it was a perfect fit for us. Thank you!
It seems you only get treated with respect if you’re of a certain status and color. I haven’t felt so belittled in years. Very disgusting behavior. I hope all of you employees feel proud of yourselves. There’s clearly a status quo you all work very hard to maintain. Sickening. Enjoy.
Loved this place. Sit outside if the weather is good. Right off the water. Fun friendly atmosphere with a great staff. Completely enjoyed our time here
Worst service Ive ever had. Took over 2 hours to get our food and orders were wrong, waitress never checked on our food. We came from out of town for a concert and ended up missing the beginning of it because of the slow service. Wouldve canceled our food and left earlier but couldnt find our waitress.
Great pizza! And I was in the middle of eating it on a Saturday night at 1030 when a staff member came and told me he needed to take my bar stool. WHILE I WAS EATING. Turns out they take all of the bar stools from everyone.... after a certain time? On certain days? Ridiculous. It did not, however, stop me from going back the next day for more pizza; it is that good. And I am happy to report in the daylight I was able to sit for the full meal😉
It’s fun on a weekend and there is life there to make the bar a good drunk dance floor kinda time. I had a friend who wasn’t doing too hot and when asking the bar for a cup of water they denied. They would only sell bottles of water for $3. I spoke to a manager and told him I had a friend who really needed a cup of water but they still denied. Pretty sad to watch. Of course I got him a bottle but that’s not a great policy!
Keep reading. Our waitress was great. Food was really good; however, my wife had a sliver of glass in her beer which she luckily discovered before swallowing it. The manager offered $2.50 off of our tab. After complaining they refused to offer more than the cost of the beer $5.00. Poor treatment of a patron. I cant recommend this place, sorry
Terrible place, Im from Northern Ireland UK, its been my first time on holiday in the US, I can say I will never be back. The staff have a bad attitude, When I asked for a refill at the bar the bartender was always hesitant to do it. one of the bouncers have a bad attitude, definitely different service from the UK service.
The music was great. Some bartenders tend to be very rude. The security personnel also tend to be a bit overbearing sometimes. There is a thin line between doing your job and acting like the top flight security of the world. I have also witnessed some discrimination. The same standards that goes for one group should go for everyone.
Barley House delivers a top level experience every time! The Tuesday Taco specials are awesome-- choose from a variety of proteins, and the dressing is sweetly complementary throughout! Enjoy craft beers specials and a nice selection of spirits and timely entertainment. Stop in and enjoy your times, and inquire about VIP!
Like most everyone else leaving a 1 star review, I am a half black woman who was wearing dark purple and black tie-dye biker shorts (Lululemon) and a long sleeve sparkly black crop top (aka, I was looking BOMB). The bouncer refused me for the biker shorts and when I asked why he said dress code. To which I replied my outfit is clearly for going out purposes - I wouldnt go to the gym in this and he simply said its athletic wear. lol ok. Whats funny is I was able to find another way in, didnt spend a single penny there, left after 7 minutes, and when I walked straight out and said bye to the same bouncer, he pleasantly said goodbye. This establishment doesnt really care about violations to their dress code, they just care about the amount of whites vs. POC that are allowed inside of the bar. I will not ever in my life go here again. I will tell my girl friends (all in their 20s) to do the same. ✌🏽
A group of friends and I went downtown over the weekend and I had bought $30 worth of alcohol for my friends and I, when I had asked for a cup of water also. The bartender then proceeded to tell me that I would need to buy a bottle of water for $3... I told them I only wanted a glass of water not a bottle. However, she said I needed to purchase a bottle of water because after 10pm thats their policy.... it was 10:02pm. I find this policy absolutely ridiculous.. never have I been to a bar before that refused to give me a glass of water especially when I am a PAYING customer. Will never go back here again due to this experience. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Lots of changes here. Security check in at the door now, people dress up more than they did a couple years ago. Plastic cup drinks that cost more. Fairly stuck up bartenders, way too crowded to dance and to loud to chill. Could use a better dj and a layout that makes the dance floor more accessible. Still a bathroom attendant in there working for tips. Attractive crowd.
Food was pretty good we had the steak sandwich I felt like the steak was a bit on the dry side and lacked flavor. We also had the king cornedbeef this one was pretty good. I liked the patio seating outside. The bar drinks however are filled with lots of ice.
Waited over an hour to get close to get in. The door guy tells me I couldn’t come in due to dress code. And let the female in front of me in who had the same exact style jeans I had on. Poorly managed and rude for not giving people the heads up on dress code. Should have signs around the facility so people wouldn’t wait in the cold for over an hour to be turned away at the end. Something stating what you can and cannot wear. Should state dress code on website too.
Good music and entertainment, but bartender was pretty rude to my friend and I. Just because I couldnt hear what she said and I know its a loud environment but she didnt have to speak to me like I was slow or an idiot, this would have made my experience there better. Ive worked in the service industry myself and patience and friendliness is something you need to have at a place like this and she clearly didnt.
A fun place to go on the weekends. Loud music, a great mix of people and good drinks. I only wish it was a little larger and the drink service was a little faster. It can get very crowded at times. Other than that, I like it!
The music was good. The bartenders know how to make almost anything at a reasonable price. But every time Ive gone its been over crowded. So crowded you cant move through the crowd without literally stepping over other people. And drinks are spilled on you throughout the evening.
Poor service, not enough tables, over an hour wait ...while unsuccessfully trying to swoop tables, unqualified staff unable to take orders, bring orders, get the bill correct, or even fix the bill that was obviously wrong even to her as well....... really? REALLY? we were there for a function that the Barley House opted to host, every other bar on our trip was closed to the public, had the proper amount of employees to serve us, and honestly we had no other issues even come up that evening except here. will never come back, will NEVER give a nice review. way to ruin our first Cleveland experience. Will be giving this review to EVERYONE I KNOW.
I was really nervous when I came here because it was extremely loud and I was worried it wasnt my scene but honestly its so fun you just get sucked into it. Everyone is so happy and dancing and its infectious. Let this bar grow on you ❤️
We just had my baby shower at Barley house and I am so happy that we did. The staff and owners were so accommodating to our needs. We were originally set to use the patio but due to rain we were allowed to use the grotto instead and Im kind of glad that it rained. the grotto turned out to be the most perfect setting to execute my vision. My friends and family are still raving about the food and the restaurant. I can’t thank Corey and Joe enough for everything!
On Tuesday, May 5, 2020 between 12 and 2pm I placed an order over the phone for a Chick-Fil-A sandwich. I specifically asked for grilled chicken with sweet potato fries. Upon eating the food, I realized that my chicken was not cooked all of the way. I called the restaurant and informed the staff member that my chicken was not cooked all the way. The staff member asked me to stop in and bring the food back so that is what I did. Upon arrival back into the restaurant I gave the bag of food to the staff member. He took it to the back where the kitchen was. A group of staff members then went into the kitchen as well. In 5 mins or less, another staff member, a Caucasian male, who was heavy set came and told me I was misinformed and that my chicken was fully cooked. I explained to this staff member that it was not fully cooked and that I bit into the sandwich firsthand so I was not misinformed. Also, with chicken it is very easy to under cook it, it may look done on the outside but it can easily be uncooked in the middle. The staff member had attempted to give me another sandwich for my inconvenience, I explained to the staff member to keep the sandwich because I felt as if he was accusing me of lying. I then walked out. I do not appreciate this establishment trying to accuse me of lying about something so minute. I am a faithful customer of Barley House who ALWAYS tips and so are my coworkers. I will not support this establishment any longer and I will encourage people that I know not to as well.
Drink, seating and dance floor capacity, and music was good. They also have large bottles displayed on the wall which were cool to look at. Curiously, when I asked for water, I was told they were only offering bottled water at a small fee.
Great place to entertain clients. Management was highly accommodating for our corporate parties even offering us private space. Stayed for table service after and a bunch of the Browns and Indians players came in and sat next to us which was pretty cool (apparently they are in there frequently). Definitely referring more clients here.
So for whatever reason I wasn’t allowed in for wearing my timberlands. Despite it being mid January with an inch of snow, it’s ok, I’ll respect the dress code for any establishment. The issue in this review is that while I was waiting for my group to leave the bouncer walked in about 8 people wearing boots. I even brought it to his attention but he didn’t really care about policy suddenly. The dress code is not posted on the website so I guess it’s just a filtering tool for people like me, but that’s my experience. I didn’t have this issue with velvet dog, liquid, dive bar or any other local places.
Parking wasnt available at the location. Kitchen was closed at 9pm on a Saturday...dress code was implemented on my guests for my birthday when I had a section setup through Chris...not what I expected.
We came in with a TON of people today. I would say over 50 all at once from a witches bike ride we did downtown. They were super accommodating and service was great! Food too :) Witches hats off to you guys. Amazing job today.
Went before browns game! packed!very LOUD. cute waitresses. good service.FUN
I was extremely well looked after by the staff, who are numerous and professional. They had enough Irish potations, including some lovely top-shelf whiskeys, to make the Gael in me happy.
Music is pretty good, has a cute outdoor area and drinks are reasonably priced (from what Ive seen). Only downfall is that it can get crowded fast on a Saturday night and the area for standing and dancing is narrow.
Was driving through Cleveland and heard this was a place to stop. Had a great time, good drinks, beer, and food. Atmosphere was friendly and everyone really welcomed the guy wearing a Patriots hat. Would definitely go in again. They treat out of towners really well.
Definitely an interesting interior. It’s almost old fashion bar w like a stage. Though most of the crowd i’d probably say a reasonable 75-80% are highschoolers. I mean , law and everything, i still personally think college kids and the older high school kids are fine as my generation was legally allowed to drink at that age. Though it seems there are lots of really young , freshman and sophomore looking kids. Also i always appreciate a dress code though I think it’s a bit odd here since i’ve seen people wear muddy ripped work pants and dirty big old work boots but they DONT allow timberlands or ripped jeans under ANY circumstance and made me go home. Other than that , these comments are only in hope that they can be used to try to strengthen their business but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get shutdown in the next year or two. Just speculation but if you meet a girl there i would ask her to prove she’s over the legal age. My younger cousins went and the girl got in (16) but her brother(20) didn’t. Just be safe my friends.
Good luck getting service if youre brown. I asked two separate bartenders for a menu drink , one girl rolled her eyes waved me off then went to serve someone who just walked up. She said something to her co-worker who looked at me the shrugged and went to the people next to me. Nice.
Didnt get a chance to eat - but was here for Browns pre game and had a great time
Ascetically pleasing with the outdoor fireplace and the indoor features but wait staff is very inattentive to customers and when you do push for some assistance it is immediately rudeness. Prices are decent and drink selection is good but bads outweigh the goods.
Service is less than exemplary. When it is 2 am and people are stumbling drunk you should be so kind as to have water accessible. The bartender told me this was a management decision not to have water. This is a bad management decision. When a doctoral candidate cannot get into your bar because hes wearing a tailored white T-shirt your dress code is way too strict. To hell with your overpacked, overpriced non sense.
The waitress was very rude. not only did she yell at us to leave, but one of us was above 21 and she still made her leave. she had a rude attitude and yelled at me for looking in the back room. would not recommend coming here. fire her.
Was told this was the place to be during the week since there aren’t a lot of bars open during the week in Cleveland. Was visiting Cleveland for a company trip. Got to the bar around 11ish and my coworker who is POC and 22 went to give the bouncer his ID. Mind you.. my coworker was in dress pants a black dressy button up shirt and nice shoes, as any business man would dress. The bouncer continued to not let him in and said his ID was not valid. He is 22. Then there was a cop there so we asked the cop if he could scan the ID to show that it’s real and the cop continued and said “I can’t do anything about it, it’s all up to the bouncer.” Then continued to let every white person in the bar. Not to add my other coworker saying how the only POC working their was in the bathroom giving people soap and taking their dirty towels…. And had multiple white men talking bad about this man working. Moral of story this bar deserves real investigation… and is NOT the place to go to have fun in Cleveland if you’re a POC.
Went to Barley House on the recommendation of a Celevelander, it didn’t dissapoint. The food, the service and the friendliness of the bartenders was above expectations. Taylor was awesome, would definitely go back to have her serve me again. She was cute and handled the bar awesome. 5 stars.
I went for the Halloween Bar Crawl and it was one of the more chill locations (in a good way). The drinks were tasty, the staff were helpful, and the music was good too
Much different than the barley house in Akron. It leans more towards a club. I had fun. Wont go there again.Reply to owner (who had a very surprisingly fast reply): Its just not my speed. I would recommend to go once for sure. The bottle service and DJs were really quite fun, but Im more into video games.
The best of both worlds! A great spot to grab lunch or dinner with friends. We always take advantage of the free valet parking during lunch on weekdays. Barley also has an amazing night scene! Best bourbon list and draft beer selection in the Cleveland area. We love the new menu items, especially the turkey avocado club!
Overall didnt enjoy their selection of craft beers, and the constant loud music. The staff were rude and unreasonable. Ended up me and a couple friends getting into a scuffle over the bouncer trying to touch my girlfriend. Not cool.
Was out with friends last night and one of them wasn’t doing too good so I decided to get her a glass of water and one for myself. The bartender told me “we don’t do that” and said I could buy one for $3. What kind of bar doesn’t serve their paying customers water? Come on Barley House, you really can’t afford to give a free glass of water?
Service is very slow. The waitresses have slight attitudes. i know they get hit on by random guys all day every day but its still not my fault. Bartenders tend to over look me, for what reason I dont know. When I come in for lunch with the business crowd its ok. But once I come in for evenings i get the side eye and ignored.
Always a great time at Barley House. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and amazing food
Although Ive had some positive experiences here, our experience today was unlike any other Ive had at the Barley House. We came with 12 employees to Barley for lunch, including a coworkers wife. First, our order was all over the place. Second, some people never even got their food after being there for over an hour...when it wasnt busy or crowded. It seemed as though it was both our waitress and the kitchen were clearly not in sync. Then, when we had to leave, the waitress proceeded to being a bill to two parties who never even received their food. When we complained, instead of talking to the GM and defending the customer, the waitress just replied with well if you want the food you have to pay for it. Obviously, we know that, but making a customer wait for over an hour for food they never received shouldnt be met with confrontation, but instead with an apologetic attitude for the issues. Perhaps if Barley instead trained their employees on how to handle these types of issues, they would have less 1 star reviews...we wont be bringing our business back to Barley House in the future.
Amazing service and food. The staff are really professional but fun at the same time. Went a couple months back while I was visiting friends and the next time I make it back, you can believe Ill be there!
Great lunch. We miss our regular server Sarah (it was nice as she knew us and would take care of the small things at lunch when we have to get in and get out). Still good service.
First of all, The all you can eat is NOTTTT all you can eat. Once you get 3 small plates of crab legs you are CUT OFF. Thats false advertising in my opinion. And they really werent that good. Overcooked and cold. You can go just about anywhere for a pound of crab legs for $20. We were the only white family in the restaurant. It is not racist there at all. The service was good. Waitress and other girls working were very attractive. I have been there other times. Dont get caught up in the All You Can Eat SCAM. Can you tell I love crab legs?
Barley house really is not the scene. Lots of drinking kiddos that seemed to just fall off the farmers truck. Flannel and Sweatshirts abound in this place. Barely 20 so etchings trying to figure things out .*But LostCLE is. You dress to impress and truly have an amazing crowd of real people.
Anybody that is black I do not recommend this establishment at ALL! Manager of the establishment was not professional when we asked for a legit reason why my brother was not allowed in after he respectful complied with removing his head cap. His words were “when you open your own establishment you can do whatever you want”.
I ordered from here on DoorDash. I paid $16 for 2 meager pieces of fish and barely a handful of tots. When I called and spoke to management they attempted to accommodate me but clearly the owners need to reconsider what a serving size is. I will NEVER order from here again.
My wife and I tried to go in. They told us they were at capacity. Were not caucasian. While we waited outside to figure out our next move, we saw 4-5 other people try to go in who were not caucasian. They were told the same thing and were turned away.Next we saw 2 individual caucasian males walk up to the bouncer and they were told the same thing, however, the bouncer still let both of them in.Its just an observation we made while standing there. Its clear to see who they want in here and who they dont.
I always have a great time at Barley House. The staff is always energetic and helpful. The atmosphere is always fitting for whatever time of day. The newer patio bar is very enjoyable during the summer and they always have a baseball or football game on the tv. Coldest beer I have had at a bar...Will always stop at Barley when Im in the Warehouse Dist
Awesome spot! Becky in the lounge provides extraordinary customer service!
Have ordered from here on uber eats twice now, some of the best takeout Ive had in CLE. The pizza and the barley house burger are both really good, and the fried pickles were still hot and crispy when they arrived.
Can get super busy, lots of people go out with their friends on the weekends to dance and drink. Drinks served are basic and put in plastic cups, wish they had more of a selection and more class.
I was allowed in, as my husband was, until he wasn’t. The bouncer was rude and stated that he wouldn’t let my husband in because his pants were sagging, which they were not. My friends, who bought bottle service, were begging the bouncer to allow my husband in and he still refused to do so, as he claimed my husband was rude. The police officer confirmed with me that my husband did nothing wrong as well. It’s easy to say that the bouncer ruined our night.
Barley House offers an exceptional nightlife experience, yes I would suggest that you plan in advance if you would like to book a bottle service table or hang out in the VIP area, since it does get very busy - but if you do that you will love it! Great servers, and the atmosphere is one of the best.
Five stars for the reason I came - which was to sit outside, smoke a cigar, and watch sports. Service was great and outdoor patio (on the side) was perfect. I was there last Saturday afternoon and it was fairly quiet.
We were turned away 4 times for dress codes despite changing!!! We have tried to come to this establishment on two separate occasions. The first time we came we were turned away because of ripped jeans on one of the black male guests in our party. We thought this was odd because we could clearly see others at the bar who also had ripped jeans but we were told it is apart of the dress code and could not enter. We didnt argue and simply left to go across the street to a different bar. The second time we came we made sure that no one had ripped jeans and we were turned away again for another black male in our party whos sleeves were about an inch too short to enter. We had a suitcase of luggage in the car so this wasnt a big issue as he just went to change. After changing into a shirt with the appropriate sleeve length he was turned away again because his shirt and pants were both black. He went to change again coming back with a blue shirt and the bounce made him lift up his shirt! Seeing the elastic wait band on his pants he was turned away again for an issue that could not even be seen. Then he went to the car to change again and was still turned away despite fitting all of the dress code requirements. The bouncer gave no reason this time and simply said no. This was incredibly frustrating as we did everything we could to fit these rules. What frustrated me even more is that a dress code is not posted online or anywhere outside of barley house so that we could prepare for it. I have been to several places that have a dress code but never one that wasnt posted. During this entire time when my friend was changing I waited with a few others outside. I watched as time and time again people came up and were turned away but it was very inconsistent. I watched a man get turned away for having a pattern on his pants I watch time and time again as black males were turned away for rules that seemed to be made up on the spot. This hurt me so much to see that this is still happening here and that there wasnt anything we could do about it. When we asked the bouncer why he was turned away the last time I made sure to be very polite and just wanted to know why or what the dress code was. He was very angry with me and told me that if we had a problem with it we could be arrested and gestured to the police officer behind him. We do not get to go out often as we work events usually on the weekends and this definitely ruined our night. I cannot support this establishment by returning or promoting it.
Barley House has always been a favorite place of mine. The food is delicious, especially the pizzas! And of course, its pretty much a one stop shop for the entire hospitality experience. Great lunch and dinner-happy hour, and then they bring in the best DJs on the weekend which pretty much packs the house til 2:30 in the morning! Barley House rocks!
Great place. Located within walking distance of public square and casino in warehouse district on west 6th st. Food is good and service was excellent. During good weather outdoor bar and seating is available.
Worst place ever!! We’ll be filing a complaint with BBB. We were visiting from Mississippi and we made a reservation for a VIP table for 14 people ( all couples) . Half an hour after we sat down, bouncer told us we have to move because an MBA player wants to sit where we were sitting so they moved us to a small table that barely fits 4 people. That corner was so crowded, shoulder to shoulder and bunch of people walking back and forth. We decided to leave because that was not what we reserved and there was no room for us to sit down but the server wouldn’t give me my credit card back unless I pay for the bottle of vodka that we ordered ($200) !! We Would never go back there.Watch out y’all !! This place would kick you out at any min if someone with money comes and pays them more than you !!Worst place in Cleveland
One of the best bars I’ve ever been to on my life. Great experience, great service, don’t listen to the 1 star reviews. They’re all punk kids who probably haven’t even been there.
Fun bar inside and out, regardless of the temperature. Its a great place to pre-game or watch the Browns, the fans there make everything fun. They have a great outdoor patio with tvs and plenty of seating. Close to other bars and the stadium.
Great bar with outside seating. Food was a mixed bag. Had a fantastic quesadilla but the brunch omelette was not very good. Our server was friendly.
One of the worst, homophobic, places in Cleveland. Not surprising that they dont allow reviews on their Facebook page. Ive been to Barley House one time before I went on Friday, August 3rd. Never have I felt so discriminated against until I waited in line to get into the bar. About 8 people were in front of me, two guys wearing ripped jeans, and four girls who were wearing either ripped jeans or a short dress. They all got in the bar fine and then when it was my turn the bouncer told me no ripped jeans allowed. I asked why considering two guys with ripped jeans got in 3 seconds ago in front of me and it made no sense. The bouncer didnt answer the question at all and just said it makes perfect sense. The real reason they didnt let me in was because I had a black shirt on with a little rainbow on the right side of it but of course they would never admit that. Complete homophobes at this bar with an arbitrary dress code that they selectively follow based on your gender and sexual orientation. Will never be back at this bar and Ill make sure everyone I go out with in Cleveland knows about this.Response to owner: Thanks for the quick reply. All of my friends (who are straight) thought the exact same thing, not just me. I really dont throw Homophobic around lightly, in fact I cant think of a place Ive ever been to where it was homophobic besides this occasion. Id be happy to talk to you about this. Emaill or let me know your best contact number and Ill reach out.
Great food and drinks! General manager is very friendly and accommodating.
I usually come on off peak hours but when I do the service is always great! I go to the cigar lounge and I am always accommodated properly! Sean and Brittney are the best!
Barley House has great tasting food and good customer service. All to be enjoyed in a space with very good atmosphere. Go try it for yourself. Kyrie liked it enough to host his 21st Birthday party here.
Very nice bar, nice outside area and inside as well, good tables select and really loved the natural wood log/limb liquor shelf
Service was poor, we waited over 45 minutes and no service at our table on the patio, finally a waitress walked by and we asked if we could place a drink & order food, shes stated she was off and the kitchen closed 10 minutes ago. Worse service EVER!!! We walked to the bar to place our drink order. Will not be going back!
Went to barley house walked into the bar with a friend and not a single person acknowledged our presence. Eventually, walked to the end of the bar where three employees where texting. They looked up then just kept texting. We then continued to the outside patio right outside main bar, sat for 5 mins. Again, not a single person acknowledged we where there. We then left.Service is almost always terrible.
I ONLY GO THERE WHEN STORMY GOES THERE. HER SECTION ALWAYS GO HARD. GREAT CROWD AND NICE DRINKS TOO!!
Happy hour is extremely misleading. Once you receive your check, they suddenly tell you how certain drinks (that the menu specified DID apply) does not apply (contradicts written info). Very bad business practice and just waiting for legal issues. Good luck!
Food is so good here. Happy hour drinks are a great deal. On the weekdays, they have food specials. Wednesday’s are $5 apps. It was a great experience.
Bar seemed nice but dont go before, during, or after a Browns game. Obnoxious fans uncomfortably pack the place and verbally bully anyone wearing anything even remotely close to the opposing teams colors.
Id have never guessed it but the Browns tailgate party is an awesome time with affordable beers. I will stop before my next game. Beers are only five bucks for a tall boy and of course pumpkin head is there.
I dont know if you guys have read any recent reviews, but the service here is really lacking. All the bouncers think they are tough guys and the servers are kind of rude. I went in there with nothing but good energy and left with nothing but bad memories
Concerned about an experience I had on 8/12/17. Was with some girlfriends, enjoying a night out. A very drunk young woman physically ran into my friend, who was visibly annoyed and asked the girl to please go around the table another way. The drunk girl and her friend then proceeded to tell a security guard, who immediately kicked out my friend without getting any sort of details. We were with multiple others (including people we did not know) who verified that my friend did not lash out or touch the girl and that there was no issue. The security guard ignored everyone and proceeded to kick my friend out. Will not be returning here.
Great drinks & atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. Before 10pm is a casual bar, after 10pm it turns into a sort of dance club.
WORST PLACE EVER!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!!My girlfriend and I were casually walking around on a Saturday night and ended up walking up a few steps into an upper area. The area was completely open and crowded and out of nowhere very big overzealous bouncer picked me up and threw me down the stairs without saying a word. Apparently we entered a restricted area without realizing it. Im 61 and 170ibs, and after giving him a couple choice words he unexpectedly picked me up again and body slammed me to the ground before another bouncer grabbed me and pulled me out the front doors while I pleaded to him to not throw me as they kicked me out since I was injured from the first attack and could barely stand up. Thank goodness he realized I was hurt and didnt throw me.This incident was completely uncalled for and didnt need to happen. All they had to do is tell us it was a restricted area. I will be following up with an attorney and police report.
Every bouncer here has a large ego problem. Very fragile don’t say anything that’ll hurt their feelings or they’ll try to charge you money to stay. Drinks over priced and very racist
Me and my wife enjoyed the cleanliness of the staff the patients the waitress had because their menu was kinda hard too decide but overall the service and food was excellent I cant reme mm ber our waitress name but when it came to honoring my wifes gift cards from her job the Wyndam. I can see why the employees say its the best inthe city the veg chicken pasta was off the chain the barbq wings and salad we had was amazing the sauce needs too be on grocery store shelves again the waitress was awesome she answeredall my wifes questions and helped pick a excellent meal it was like watching too old girlfreinds picking out a chistmas present or babyshower Lol !!!!!
On the patron side of the bar, it was mayhem. Drunken ashleys and Kyles everywhere. On the staff side of the bar were 7 clones of the same pretty girl. Weird night. 8/10. Would recommend.
Im to old for this type on nonsense. Elbow to elbow, good luck getting a drink.Last time I was here was after MGK Xmas concert. Way to may people, probably over the limit allowed inside the building.Definitely dont see me going back.....ever.......
Im a regular here, because this is the number one hotspot for everyone in the entire state of Ohio! Top DJs are brought in from all over, the staff is extremely courteous, and the whos who of Cleveland frequent Barley regularly! Friday and Saturday nights you will more than likely see some athlete or celebrity in VIP. Justin Bieber, 50Cent, Shaq, Johnny Manziel have all stopped in for drinks! Definitely the place to go in Cleveland, be sure to check it out!! The restaurant staff during the day and the menu is excellent as well!!Barley keeps going on strong definitely worth the trip!
I spend a lot of time downtown and Ive never been to the barley house. The salad bar is stacked and awesome. The food is great and reasonable. I will be going back to try more.
It was very very busy, but the bartender that made our long island only put 1 liquor in it, supposed to be 4, then filled the cup with sour mix to make up the difference. But decided to try and argue that it was made correctly.
Delicious prizza, that pepperoni tasted like it was freshly sliced from an Italian meat shop. The beers were flowing like Niagara. Outdoor patio is super comfortable and will surely be back.
Awesome plave to hangout especially at late nights during weekends. Always have superb music, thanks to their choice of DJs. One of the best nightclubs in Cleveland downtown area..
An absolutely professional operation. Excellent service, surprisingly decent prices, expertly designed sound and lighting, and hot staff. Its worth the drive from anywhere in Northeast Ohio.
Id give them zero if I could. If youre an out of towner hoping to watch your game, GOOD LUCK. Management caters to Browns fans only, rude unless youre cheering for their team. Bathrooms are disgusting, staff, as previously mentioned, is RUDE. Managers-- worse. Good luck here.
Had the Barley Burger and it was so yummy. Egg and coleslaw is a surprisingly good combination over corned beef and burger patties.
Staff was expedient in delivery of drinks and watching the dance floor as naughty behavior ran out some patrons. Next time should be more distinctly comprehensible. 5/5 will return!
Door man needs an attitude adjustment. I spent my money somewhere else. Wont go there again. Most places want you to spend your money. Not just turn you away at the door for no reason.
The manager on Friday 6-26-21 was wierdo my girl said, if youre hot think of another place. Very unorganized and a disappointment as one of Clevelands highlight spots to visit.
READ 😆...Mask were a must when out your section.. Awesome job... AND 👍.... IT WAS A WHOLE EVENT IN ITSELF...no need to hop.... It was a one stop vibe all in itself.... On a Saturday... Ill match it to any spot on West 6... And ill win... Guarantee it.
For the price, the food here is good. You cant beat a $9 soup and salad bar. Nothing special, but the service was great. Good for a quick and cheap lunch.
Ive been going for ever and have always felt welcomed by the staff. On the plus side it has a great selection of beer and drinks that are served by some great bartenders!
Stopped in for my bros bday- this girl Olivia made our night so awesome - best drinks in Cleveland for sure- see you guys for the bachelor party! She needs to be a flare tender- that smile!
A really good bar with pub grub and local beers. Craft beers are available, but major brands dominate. Excellent bartenders, great staff. Highly recommended when in Cleveland!
Ordered on Doordash since it was the only place open late at night. Food was fantastic. Didnt expect a club to have such good food. The sauce was hittin too.
Meh service. Food was meh, ordered the pick two, sandwich seemed like it could have used a condiment (corned beef needs mustard in my opinion), chicken noodle soup had been cooking all day(s), the little chilly in there was tough and chewy.
Awesome salad bar at lunch time. The potato bacon soup is a must as well, also on the salad bar. One of my favorite lunch spots with coworkers.
Super fun time!! Awesome service and very chill atmosphere. Food was delicious!!! Will be watching Browns games there more often.
Favorite bar in Cleveland! Getting a section is such a great time and if your not into that you can just go to the bar and enjoy yourself there as well.
High energy. Great service. Kinda crazy on game days but as expected.
A nice bar, but on Tuesday nights it is a little slow as expected. Their Moscow mule was pure lime, which was not the best. Seemed kind of like a cliquey place.
Nicely poured beers in a beautiful setting, and friendly staff. We only drank, but the bar food looked tasty.
I called and was on hold for a half an hour, was gonna place for order and buy some burgers. anyways, the people answered after waiting a half an hour and told me that i “couldn’t place an order for takeout” i have probably like 3 times before. i don’t think i will be coming back here
Terrible bar smells place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months very dirty terrrible atmosphere overall definetly not a good bar to go to have very little drink selection and bouncer are rude and hostile
Bartender recognized my WCW Wolfpac shirt and therefore this place is 10/10. Every night here is a great night , security is also amazing .
Barley House is the night life of Downtown Cleveland! From the VIP bottle service to the exceptional and friendly bartenders, this place is amazing. Recently being their for lunch with their brand new menu, was surprisingly delicious. Day or Night, this is the place to be.
Nice room . Service sucks , wasnt that crowded they had a lot of help working BUT they werent working hard or fast enough. Doubt Id go out of my way to re-visit .
Nice place. Decent tap selection. Nighttime is a different crowd. Day time the service is ok. Food not too bad.Service 4*Food 3*Environment 4*
One of the best spots in Cleveland to eat dinner and to hang out for a drink afterwards. Staff is super friendly and engaging and management is as well. Would recommend 💯💯
