Massage Envy

I had no issues with my massage and stretching but when I went to cancel my membership they refused to cancel stating I signed up for a 1 year membership which is not what I signed up for. DO NOT sign up for a membership here. If you utilize their service pay in cash, Ive had to report this as fraud to my cc company and order a new card now.Upon further research Massage Envy has faced and lost class action lawsuits regarding refusing to cancel memberships. Recommend avoiding this business at ALL costs, dont make the same mistake as me.

Apparently if the customer had an appointment and massage envy cancelled that appointment.. it’s the customers job to find availability elsewhere.. definitely cancelling my membership. Advice: Change your policies, and don’t make it inconvenient for your customers

Two recent visits with gift card. One was horrible. Masseuse coughed most of the time and had to leave the room, 15 minutes lost and nothing done by staff to account for it. Front desk person said that sucks.Second visit decent massage and helpful front desk person. Very hard to get an appointment in the evening. Cost is horrible without membership.

I debated on leaving a review because I wanted to keep my amazing massage therapist Andrea a secret and not share her. However, that would be pretty selfish. Andrea is amazing. From day one she made me feel comfortable and at ease. I look forward to my sessions every single time because not only do I get a great massage (which is both relaxing and relieves my back pain), her bubbly personality makes my day brighter. The front desk staff is also amazing and always very friendly. Highly recommend coming here, and I also highly recommend Andrea.

I had a 90 minute session with Katie B. a few days ago & it was wonderful! Our conversation was fun and the massage was super relaxing. In addition the ladies at the front desk were very friendly, helpful and had great energy. I was previously a regular at the Grandview location but in my opinion, this location is better. Will definitely be back again.

Best massage in months!!! Kacey used all of her magic to alleviate 98% of my aches so I could actually enjoy part of this massage as relaxation. Such an awesome relief and release.I love this location! Everyone is friendly and engaging, but in a very chill atmosphere. Just right for a massage environment!

Massages overall have been wonderful! I’m like Medium/Firm Pressure during my total body relaxation sessions. My experience today was not expected though I previously expressed my desire for more pressure along with a few focus areas ~ which in all received too much pressure and for too long .Not to her discredit yet, I will not book this masseuse again.

When I wanted to keep my appointment rather than reschedule, the next day I received an email stating that my appointment was going to be canceled because Massage Envy Warner Clinics (Gahanna, Pickerington, Westerville, and Bethel Road) are not the best fit for you.”

Had a great facial today! I hadnt had one since before covid so it had been a long time and I was a little nervous going back in. Grace was fantastic! She was polite and friendly and explained everything she was doing in the treatment. I learned a lot of new info and she recommended me some products to address my concerns! Very excited to go back in a few weeks.

Staff and massage therapists are friendly and professional. They make scheduling easy, and a relaxing massage with great results. The Front Desk Staff is a tremendous part of your experience, greeting you, ensuring your needs are met, scheduling even finding appointments that arent online and future appointments. Katie B. is sets a relaxing tone for a light massage, is able to identify tension areas and work them out without needing additional pressure. The addition of Rapid Tension Relief helped relieve back back strain issues.

Caitlin is a wonderful therapist! I get a monthly massage to help keep the arthritis in my neck and shoulders to not cause tension headaches, and she does this very effectively, without it being as painful as other therapists. Everyone there is pleasant and professional.

My massage with Abby Y was fantastic. She was very attentive to the areas we discussed during our consult time, and she gave me some pointers for future lifts to help strengthen specific areas. She was assertive to how much pressure was good, and communicated well throughout the massage. I would recommend her to anyone. The location is very aesthetically pleasing and calming. The front desk staff were kind and informative.

Got the facial with Grace and it was amazing! Left my skin feeling very hydrated and I was glowing. She talked me through every thing she was doing since it was my first facial and learned a lot about my skin. Cant wait to book one again!

Had my first facial in a very long time with Erica at Massage Envy Gahanna. I enjoyed it very much, she is knowledgeable, personable, and very gentle- unlike some of my past memories of a painful experience. I have already scheduled another.

The integrity of this company is a shame. I paid in full for 12 sessions for my husband and myself right before the pandemic (Feb 20). They were closed for months and when they reopened during the pandemic, I didn’t feel comfortable to be that close to someone. Needless to say, I didn’t use most of my paid services. This year they charged me for month to month, so when it was canceled they told me I had 90 days to use 7 sessions which is very hard for a working family and because they are always booked. I had to leave to go to another state to use my services and share my services with friends and family. At the end I still had 1 session left that they refused to allow me to use. Who knows how many my husband had… Money thrown away. I would reconsider using a company that won’t honor pre paid services. You’d have better luck buying a gift card (not a “membership”) with a local masseuse and never run the chance of losing what you paid for.

I have been getting massages over 10 years. They just need to work on the relaxation and comfort of the client each client should be ask if they want water. H2O is important when getting massages the tables are kinda hard no cushion. If you want a essential oil that is extra. They have a cancellation fee for the membership which is rediculous

I had an amazing facial today, Grace is so nice and when I leave there I feel so relaxed and so much better about myself. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great experience! Cant wait for my next facial.

I love this Massage Envy location! Everyone is super friendly. Jin is amazing if you are looking for a good facial. She is consistently awarded the Best Esthetician of the year! Also if you looking for a really good back and neck massage Yeti is who you should see. Ive been coming to this massage envy for over 4 yrs and Jin and Yeti are the best!

I have mixed feelings about Massage Envy. While I have been pleased with the quality of all of the massages I have had, I am beyond frustrated with the scheduling process. It’s EXTREMELY difficult to schedule anything, as they are always booked out months in advance. As a member, I have a contract that allows 1 hr long session a month, and my account is automatically deducted. On multiple occasions, I have tried to book at the Gahanna location (with several weeks notice), but am told nothing is available and that I can try different locations. I understood the Covid ‘excuse’ for awhile but at this point I feel that that is used as a cop out. If I can’t ever get in, or I have to go way out of my way, what’s the point of being a member? It’s very disappointing.

I booked an appointment for an 1 hour full body massage at 4pm, took time off work, got to my appointment 15 minutes early to find out my therapist called off. The front desk girl was not very sorry although she said it in her stern not so sorry voice and said I can wait for a facial at 7pm instead. This was a Mothers Day gift for me, I explained I was heading out of town and wont be able to take additional time off work to schedule a new appointment but I just got the death stair as if I was waisting their time so I left. Wont be back to this location, this is my 2nd bad customer experience here.

I have scheduled my monthly massages 90 days in advance for many years. I was just cancelled for 12/24! Three days notice is UNACCEPTABLE! Especially for Christmas week! My therapist and the entire staff should have had the decency to let me know earlier! They have just spoiled my Christmas gift to me!

Signed up for membership, put on freeze+ and told I wouldnt be charged as long as I keep booking appointments. Currently have 2 appointments pending but cancelled due to being charged and Manager saying front desk staff cant tell what kind of membership you have so thats why you were charged Just absolute BS and terrible management.Edit* I filled out the form indicated below in the owner response but all it did is send the form to the same manager that messed up my account in the first place.

I scheduled for appointments at the same time one month in advanced to ensure they could accommodate me yet two days before the appointment they called and cancelled because something came up for the therapist. This was a complete inconvience for me considering I had 3 girls driving 2.5 hrs and this is what they wanted to do so the only resolution was for me to sit and wait while they enjoyed massages. I will never return to this location clearly they are not customer driven.

I went in for a massage today, unfortunately my therapist couldnt make it in. Fortunately, the front desk woman was very kind and accommodating. She listened to my needs and took care of booking my next few sessions. Although I was disappointed that I didnt get the relief I needed today, Im grateful for the service I received from her. I recommend going here...theyll take care of you!!

Everyone is super nice. I love that they explained their new Covid 19 procedures over the phone when they called to confirm my appointment so there were no surprises. I have residual issues due to a car wreck, but Sean was really sensitive to those obstacles in order to provide some much needed relief. I feel so much better than I have in months.

I saw a new massage therapist, Diamond. I had a great experience and recommend her highly! (I have mixed feelings about contributing to getting her schedule booked -- I hope Ill still be able to see her ;) ! )

Kasey was AMAZING! She is so very kind and talented and I really felt like she cared! The front office staff was also super sweet and the location was clean and relaxing!

Never ever sign up for a membership with massage envy, its practically un-cancelable. Ive been trying for months (since September 2019, its currently February 2020) to cancel my membership because I moved states, and massage envy has been evasive and unhelpful over email and phone. When I finally drove to my original massage envy location in November and turned in the paperwork in person (they sent me an email confirmation that my account had been canceled and everything), they simply switched to a different credit card I had on file and kept charging me. Do not trust this company!

I had a wonderful massage at Massage Envy. I had a pinch nerve starting in my shoulder and even though I had only scheduled a relaxation massage the technician was nice enough to still work out the pinch nerve. By the next morning it was completely gone and I could rotate it with no problem. The front desk was also very kind. I will definitely be going back there!!!

I’ve been a member of Massage Envy for almost 2 years. On most occasions, I have encountered great customer service. Today being Dec 23rd, I thought I would go in and transfer a service as a Christmas gift to a friend. Upon my arrival, I was met with an attitude from Andy(female). I was uncertain as to why this person’s disposition towards me was so appalling, then, I remembered her from our last encounter (several months ago) where she had been extremely rude. That encounter led both a co-worker and I to speak to her manager regarding her behavior. I guess she remembered me although, she had been forgettable. Today, she refused to print out my account, she snubbed me when I asked her to research as to the status of my transfers, as well as gave me misinformation.Everyone has bad days; however, this was intentional. I would avoid Bad Attitude Andy; she may be this location’s greatest liability.

The massage therapist didnt focus on the area that I asked her to which was frustrating because that was the whole purpose of me getting a massage. They dont tell you that the membership is annual for the first year until they get you in there and book a service for you. The website said its month to month so that is false advertising. Also the therapist talked through half of the massage so it took away some of the relaxation. It wasnt the worst massage and Im going to give them another chance with a different therapist.

Very very bad experience from this Gahana location of Massage Envy. They rescheduled my appointment from 11:30 to 3pm and only to be told to go and come back at 4pm. I mean i dont own the time to waste it for goodness sake. On each occasion everyone keep blaming it on the previous associate for not communicating the change in schedule. Unprofessionalism to the highest level, as if that was not enough, they refuse a refund for the gift card that was bought for this service. Very horrible experience on my birthday...

Great massage, but horrible customer experience after the fact, which ruins the massage. Incompetent office skills, which caused me to pay for a massage that had been gifted to me, and two weeks later, still no refund b/c now they claim I never had the massage! Infuriating!! Actually had to call a different location (Lewis Center) to get any sort of assistance. If I ever do try ME again, it wont be at Gahanna.

I had an appointment with Affiong today. I am having trouble finding the words to describe the massage I received....The only way to describe it would be to tell you to imagine what a massage in Heaven would feel like. She really focused on my target ares and then worked on knots I never knew I had...cant wait to go back.

Heres the thing. You can go to ANY location around the country. I started taking advantage of this last year and have had massages in Florida, Cleveland, and Washington, DC. I love my home location in Columbus. The other part, Ive seen a lot of different massage therapists and have learned my personal preferences. I started getting monthly massages when a good friend got me a gift card for mothers day. I joined right then and there. We joke about self care and laugh it off but its not funny when you dont have your health. Take good care of yourself. Massage Envy has helped me stay connected to my body through human touch and heal after getting rear ended. Its a good place. And if something doesnt feel right, say something. Everyone is willing to adjust but they cant read your mind. XOXO

Worst massage Ive ever had, the masseuse was super awkward and didnt seem to know what he was doing. Between someone hammering something down the hallway, the two receptionists gossiping and laughing the entire time and the awkward energy from the masseuse I couldnt even enjoy myself. This was my first visit due to a gift card my fiancé had bought me after the birth of my son, I have a remaining balance on the gift card and nearly two years later I havent returned. I tried to call and make an appointment 3 different times today and no one would answer.

Only a 1 because zero was not an option. Left my bracelet and necklace behind on accident as the last appointment of the day. Called the next day....no one answered or called back. Left messages. Called several more times and no one was willing to look or ask around for it. Could not get manager to call me. Front office staff was unprofessional. I am a member in Gahanna Ohio. Apparently Manager only comes in every couple of days. No one cleaned room or they employ thieves.

Nice atmosphere, and Nancy, my massage therapist, did a good job. She definitely worked out some kinks I didnt even know I had in my neck. Only downside was no foot massage. Dont know if the hour wasnt enough time or if it wasnt a part of the routine. Will most likely return for a follow up.

The Therapists here are great. Not a huge fan of the front desk staff, but they change so often that it doesnt really matter. I do find it pathetic that the first three reviews I see on here are from a former manager, a current manager and someone probably related to the current manager, makes me question the ethics of the company.

Wish I could give less than 1 star. The first couple of massages were so-so. Nothing special, seems the staff is constantly changing. Around the time of my fourth massage something started going wrong. I was even more sore than before starting. By the 7th I could barely move unless I used a heating pad, stretching exercises and a handful of advil. When I asked to stop services I got the run around. I asked if I could just get facials instead of massages but was told that I would have to pay a surcharge for switching??????? Really? This is absurd. Finally got out of the contract after my Doctor wrote a letter saying that further massages could be detrimental and going to the BBB. It took months of medication, exercises and patience to get over the damage caused by Massage Envy. I think most of their therapists are brand new and dont have a clue of what theyre doing.

Danny McGarvey is amazing! Great deep tissue massage, always asks if any area needs special attention. Great at stretching and being creative to make sure sore areas get worked out. Highly recommend Danny to everyone I know!

Massages with Shawn and facials with Erica are the best I’ve had. It is by far a higher quality of care than the more expensive “fancier” salons and at a way better rate! =)

Jason was pretty good at the assistive stretch.The person at the counter was efficient and friendly upon check in. She even convinced me to book 3 massages for future dates.

Wish I could give zero. Deceptive business practices. Demanded i sign a new consent mid way through membership or refuse to provide services. Basically sign the new contract or forfeit $200. Bad business. I asked for a refund, but it wasnt given. Tried to call customer service center, but they dont have one.

Love going to Massage Envy Gahanna - staff is super friendly & helpful! I was nervous about my first massage and my therapist walked me through the entire session, really tailoring my massage to my pain areas.

This place can not be use if you are trying to surprise someone because you will end up paying foe unnecessary charge. Never give your card info to this place till they have provided you with the service you ask for. Please dont waist your money at this place.

Regular massage has reduced my migraine headaches, I highly recommend the therapists at this location because they have helped with eliminating common reoccurring pain.
