I Had an amazing night out with the Family here for my birthday. They had a 2for1 drink special on the day that were beyond Amazing 🥰 I Loved the music and entertainment provided as well! Lovely Bar, Pool table available in main area also.

I am visiting family in Columbus Ohio. I went out to shoot pool Friday night ...I found a hidden gem of a place, The Canabar!One pool table with a lot of high level of players who were very funny 😂🤣and welcoming!🤗Starting from security at the door ...✨Straight house cues✨Good selection of drinks✨Friendly, attentive staff😁✨Outdoor seating✨Patrons were friendly✨Live Band was great 👏✨DJ after the band finished✨Outside Food allowedFood truck - Walkers Ribs & Things was outside.😋I asked, Whats good?I was told by 3 people, Everythings good & it is was true! (Ribs, Rib tips, Cauliflower, Fish, Chicken, Mushrooms, Ribs, Pork chops & more)Four different people said, Hey, you should come back on Sundays!🥳I will come back.👑

I dont know which business this gate belongs to but you got rideshare people coming in here and we make money on time. We can do not have time to wait for this gate to open cuz somebody talk to your management about this. I would have said it at the apartment as a issue with the apartment but theres no apartment name listed which is also another issue.

The atmosphere is nice, they play live great music 🎶 🎵

I only venture to the Canabar because of the entertainment. There is very limited parking. The club space is very small, but I can forgive that since it is a historical landmark. I cannot overlook or forgive the bad attitudes of the bartenders, though. They actually ignore you. I witnessed a man assault another patron for no reason. Initially he was put out, but allowed to re-enter a few minutes later. The man was loud and obnoxious and this made me uncomfortable. This place has some of the best musicians in Columbus playing on their small stage, but it is being overshadowed with poor management. Too bad.

Got off highway to find a good breakfast diner. We are very happy with our choice. Really good food and friendly staff.Super quick service.

Wouldve spent more money but bar is cash only.

This bar isnt a bad place at all and definitely is suited for seasoned people. However I dont think some of the staff accept the younger generation. I am 32yrs old yet look as if Im in my early 20s. I own two successful businesses and just wanted a drink after a long good at work. I waited 20 minutes before someone even acknowledged me after I flagged the bar tender down multiple times. I literally watched the bar tender circle around the bar attending to everyone else while pretending as if she didnt see me. I understand bar tending can be unpleasant at times yet this wasnt a busy night at all. Personally, I am saying if people under 40yrs old isnt welcome then may the bar owner of the bar please place a age limit on the front door

Fun place to chill and grab a drink. It has a older crowd so no need to worry about young punks fighting the night away. The live band on the weekends is one of the best things about this place. I love going here.

This is my new bar! I love the atmosphere, friendly patrons and staff, prices and drinks were great. In fact I left my wallet and picked it up 2 days later with everything in it I am so grateful. I love the Canabar!

Great neighborhood spot for the grown, and old school adults looking to get a well priced adult libation or two and have a nice relaxing time

Love the owner and other regulars here, small neighborhood bar thats a staple in the surrounding community. Has great live bands on the weekends as well as reasonably priced beverages. The bar staff is great and pleasant.

My uncle was playing tonight, and so a lot of our family came to support him. My cousins and I were in our seats enjoying the music, not being obnoxious or anything, when suddenly the owner comes over. She asked us, Do you guys play tonight? and we told her no. She asked if we were playing with my uncles band and we told her no, then I explained to her that our uncle was in the band. She then asked if we were going to buy a drink, and we told her no. She then got huffy and said that there were a lot of other customers that bought drinks that do not have a seat, telling us that we are wasting space if we are not going to purchase a drink. She tried to bully us for about 5 minutes into buying alcohol and patronized my older cousin demanding to see her ID and was seriously in her personal space even after she explained over and over that we were just here to support our uncle. Once my aunt got involved, she just made a remark and left.To start off, it was crowded anyway, so even if we gave up our seats, there still would have been people who still wouldnt have anywhere to sit. Secondly, it was very unprofessional to bully us into buying drinks. It wasnt like there was a sign posted that it was mandatory to buy one. People come to bars and only come for the music all the time! I think it was highly disrespectful to our preferances. For all she knew, we could have a low tolerance of alcohol, been at our limit, or even have religious beliefs that forbid alcohol. I feel that she picked on us because we were younger (even though we are both over 21), which is still no excuse for her to talk to us like that. Overall, it was very unprofessional and unnecessary.

Really a family place. The music is always great. I love it here.

They remodeled which is nice. But I gave it 3 stars due to the fact that they no longer take ATM cards but want to be paid cash when getting drinks. It would be smart to put in a ATM machine so people can buy drinks.

If you want a neighborhood bar this is your spot! Great people, great history, and comfortable atmosphere. Go during the day to chill or roll most weekend nights for great bands.

What a great little neighborhood spot! The staff was great, Nana is absolutely adorable and makes you feel like family. I just got home and already cant wait to go back! 💚

Heard a lot of good things about the history of this bar. The customers are great which is interesting because when i was there seems like the workers were pissed about something. Oh well Id go back to have a different experience but Im skeptical.

I went in on Saturday night and ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and it was $13.95 I thought it was $10 like most places the woman told me the price but I didnt hear her say$13.95 anyway I paid for it and it was mediocre taste like a plain $6 drink I was very disappointed to say the least if and when I decide to go back to this place I will only order drinks that come in a bottle no mix drinks not sure why the Long Island is more expensive than most higher end places this is why it can be a challenge to try to support and patronize local neighborhood business dont get me wrong if the drink was exceptional I would not have given a negative review however the quality of the drink was not worth the outrageous price.

It was clean, a little small but the staff was very friendly and the drinks were delicious. I was surprised by the size of the cups with my mixed drink but they definitely made them so you dont notice the size 😉

This I consider the African-American CHEERS!!! If you want to be in place where everybody knows your name and their ALWAYS GLAD you came then this is the place for ALL RACE & ETHNIC groups. WE LOVE EVERYBODY and those that come once to visit seem to ALWAYS make their way back.You wanna be where you can see that people are all the same, you wanna be where everybody knows your name. Bands Friday Saturday and Sunday.. ... BJ cooks great food. The atmosphere is laid back...averag age about 47...Bar maids are VERY cool except the old lady.. she is sometimie with her attitude 😂😁😡😢.. Just be sure to lock your car and have no goods visible seen.. there is a pool table.. and They have breakfast and jazz some Saturdays.

Very rude, unfriendly. The bartender threw my drink out when I stepped out to smoke but didnt touch anyone elses. I heard good things about the place thats why I went clearly thats not true for a newcomer.

Excellent drink specials!!!! Kinda questionable about the payment system. Cash only if no cash theres a credit card machine that you can purchase bar credits with of course a processing fee...

Had a blast because this is an older folks bar and atmosphere. I also enjoy the live bands that perform.

Pleasant customer service, attentive bartender Mrs. Dee Dee, the band was nice and the patio with the food bar was 🔥. You have to try the crab cakes and fries
