Wow, we were shocked at how much was being charged to get in $30, then the charge for a seat $200 and then mandatory 3 bottles @ $350 each . I paid less in Vegas for a much bigger pool and better environment. To top it off, they didnt even have showers in the bathroom. Pool full of people = shower to at least rinse off.

Ill give Sekai their props on being a vibe. You for sure are going to have fun there, especially with the right crowd. On the flip side, they are NOT transparent with pricing. Purchased a bottle and the waitress did not explain the day vs night bottle pricing so I was confused when I got my receipt. No biggie, we came to party. But the 60 dollar delivery fee in addition to taxes had me very perturbed, because for 60 dollars on top of almost 300 dollars, you could tell me where the bottles are held and Ill go get that joker myself. Also, we waited a whole hour before I had to remind the waitress I had purchased. Mixed drinks were weak and overpriced. Stood outside in the TEXAS HEAT for 40 minutes waiting for the DJ, even though a section was booked in advance. We had a time, but there were areas that could use some improvement.

Nice place, we came from Beaumont and I guess we pick the wrong day because it was casting call day, so Dj kept interrupting the music. We brought a bottle than was told we couldn’t have it by the pool, I was so confused 😐, but I will give them another try one day. Then we waited hour outside because they wasn’t ready to open, they need to add mister and have water available for there guests

Second time trying to go to this place coming from out of town. They have ads and flyers and dont honor the deals or flat out leave information out. The first time, they were free before 10 or 11, and didnt open the doors until about 5 minutes before the cut off time so they could charge. Second time, their flyer didnt say free before 5 anywhere in the details but that was the condition once we got to the door. Avoid this place. There are plenty better places in Houston to enjoy yourself.

Came all the way from out of town to come here because TikTok hyped it up. Do not come to this establishment unless you want to be scammed. First, despite paying for bottle service they made us wait in the general admission line in the heat for over 1 hour before they separated the lines and started letting people in (they claimed to open at 2pm, but did not let people in until 3:30pm for whatever reason). Secondly, I booked the section 2 weeks in advance and was scammed by one of their promoters who charged me a $400 deposit to reserve. After being seated in the section we paid for, the manager of the club refused to give us bottle service because she said they could not confirm payment despite our names being on the bottle service list, showing proof of payment, and being escorted to the table we paid to reserve. LMFAO! This organization was sooooo disorganized, unprofessional, had rude security, and rude staff in general. No customer service skills whatsoever. We had to chase the bottle girl down to get service only to find out we were not getting bottle service because we were scammed by the promoter. So we basically paid $450 to get into the pool party and drink water they made us pay for separately LMFAO!!!! The establishment inside is sub par and not worth what they charge. Also you will likely be scammed out of hundreds or thousands by scammers claiming to be promoters (especially if you’re not a local). Good luck trying to book through Sekai website (which they recommend-LOL) because SEKAI does not answer emails, they don’t answer the phone when you call, and they don’t respond to texts. I will never patronize this poorly run and dysfunctional establishment again, there is too much shady business occurring here.

Owner Horrible attitude. Pay for a Section u standing in line while General admission is allowed to enter. U pay for a section and get 5 tics for 5 people and u only get two chair!!!!! Horrible. Food was great. And the Waitress was nice and sweet. But won’t support again. The “Owner” who was a lady had very bad customer service! Not to mention No Dayum Suki never showed up! And they said nothing about it!

Me and my friend ubered to Sekai around 12:15 am. Bouncer dude made us pay $40 ea to get in saying “It was lit and gets busy later” we got on it was 🗑️ young college kids and was empty. We ended up leaving an hour later, music was GOOD but its all hyped up on IG but dont waste your money👎

It was not. Too. Shabby. Lots of security elaborate bottle service, and a beautiful pool at the center of it all. Watch out for your wallet, as the cheapest mixed drink I saw was $15. If clubbing is your scene, I recommend showing up at least once. Just be warned; word on the street is the entry fees can get ridiculous depending on the DJ.

Venue isnt bad but the drinks are extremely overpriced at $20/drink. Plenty of parking at $20/parking. Alot of police and no reentry allowed. Cops watched me like a hawk, out of everyone they shouldve been paying attention to. Girls are ok. NOONE danced just stood around.

Came all the way from sc to see bossman! Of course they was throwing money in the pool go to the bar now they got a new rule they don’t take wet money . Definitely not good customer service and I don’t recommend this place to out of towners. I asked two staff members for the manager and they refused to get them

Hottest spot in Houston! The vibe is amazing and the girls are to die for and beyond sweet. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re looking for a new club and atmosphere 🤍

Definitely had a time here!! Came in town from Minneapolis and some friends recommended us here for their “heist Friday” event and it was lit!! Our server was great and so was the Dj. The Dj recommend us a spot called area29 to go to after but we were already too lit By 2:00am. Thanks Sekai Team!!!!

There is separation from the inner circle section (for those that purchase bottles) from those that actually are forced to walk around the inner circle with minimal places to mingle. In this type of atmosphere the interaction is limited. The separation should primarily be the dance floor which gives general admission the OPTION of dancing, not standing around like they are waiting for a bus. I am from New York and part of the back in the day club scene, and whether there were minimal individuals within the club itself, this was a terrible version of trying to have a good time. Everyone is not a alcoholic and pop bottles, everyone does not appreciate hookers. Its ok to cater, but it should be done tastefully and not leave others out in the loop. The music was good, but the artist of today are not all that. Sometimes you need to take it back. As a back in the day promoter, I give this club a C-.I would recommend it for single men who are looking for girls, but a group would not stay more than an hour. Another recommendation is to irradiate that inner circle section, which makes the club scenery bad

Believe me when I say, A TIME WAS HAD!!!! The music was fire, really good bottle prices and love the staff. Highly recommend anybody that’s looking for a good time or new to the city to definitely pull up here!

New and Hottest club in Houston with bomb af dj’s and A’s bottle services. Everyone there so nice and cool. They made what was the old Mercy club a Houston gem. I can’t wait to go back this weekend.

Came here for a birthday, would definitely recommend booking a section in advance seeing as they do sell out every night but overall we had a incredible time, club was packed out, waitress was very kind and attentive. 10/10 for sure.

Bad Business People…Find another Friday night spot.8 friends and I flew in to celebrate a friends birthday. Booked the section almost one month in advance after reviewing the layout of the venue.Paid and confirmed section.We get there and we are in a section no where near the confirmed seating. Away from the experience that was paid and confirmed.The excuse we received was sections change…this is all we have…if something becomes available we will let y’all know…As mentioned aboveThey tried to “accommodate us by saying we only had a two bottle minimum.Well the section they put us in actually only has a two bottle minimum. Not an accommodation but the standard procedure for the section they put us in.To book in advance and then completely change the experience is 100% unacceptable. Business owners need to take more accountability when they have no business acumen. I would not do business with this place unless you had a formal contact. Although we have text messages an attorney would prefer a formal contract before proceeding with filing a civil suit.The waitress was very kind.

I wish I could be at Sekai 24/7! NIGHT AND DAY. They know how to party down there for sure. Really the only thing you should be doing if you need something to do in Houston. Can’t wait to come back, Lysia was amazing! Make sure to book with her!!!

Although this nightclub no longer sells food , I enjoy this place every time I go . Drinks are 15+ bc of gratuity and tax which is okay bc the nightclub offers a phenomenal experience. they also offer Bottle Service for parties 10+.

We came to this club because we were around the area and wanted to dance, Online it says they were currently not charging any covers yet when we got there we were charged us $40 a person bc of our shoes?? yet there were people in here in basketball shorts. On top of that the DJ sucked, kept going from genre to genre, didn’t even cleanly do any any transitions and honestly talk waaaay too much. Only good thing i can say is the staff is nice and helpful.

The traffic situation is very bad. Valat people or the people do not cooperate and no respect to others.

2 doors for entry. First door $40, waited until party passed the first door to tell us it was an extra $20 because no flat shoes, white tees etc. which is like a scam because why didn’t the bouncer at the first door tell us that. No where to be unless you have a section. The club is just full of sections. They offered the sections outside (literally OUTSIDE of the party, no one else was out there). While there someone gave $5000 to the club, for what idk because they weren’t worth itFind another place to club, this one ain’t it

Truthfully think it’s a matter of time before Ciry if Houston shutdowns this place so that locals and visitors of Houston can enjoy the Graffiti walls and beautiful murals of East Downtown without dealing with rated X activity and half naked women outside. The owner of this “club” should have put a nice family-friendly restaurant with food trucks food like tacos, pizza, hibachi, burgers, BBQ rather than this unsanitary place that gives Houston a negative reputation

Visiting htx from minnesota; and we planned to come here for the club, found out Saturdays is Latinx night and we do not like that style of music. So we planned for the day/pool party instead. We came on a Saturday- it was $40 to get in. This place is a good time! The only thing is you MUST get a section to feel comfortable, otherwise you are to stand in random spots like the walk ways, around the bar (which is very small) or if you go upstairs you lean against the railing. You can go in the pool but nobody is really in there and all the sections are like watching over you lol. Anywho- we were able to steal an open unoccupied section for free on the top floor so it gave us a place to migrate too. We rented a hookah which was a great idea, and there is someone who comes around and refills the coals. The music on the other hand was alright... It was more rap aimed for the men and we felt like you couldnt even dance to most of it. So that was a disappointment. I would come here again tho. OH- AND VALET YOUR CAR 100000000% PAY THE FEES I PARKED ON THE STREET ON THE BLOCK AND MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO! :)

Trash. The staff is very rude and has no class. As soon as I got there I turned right back around due to the rude service.

This venue is unlike any other in Houston. Definitely has a Vegas vibe! Love it!

Went for Gryffin on Feb. 25th. They oversell tickets, have overpriced drinks and unfriendly staffs. Bouncers closed the main area at certain time and didn’t allow people in even if you’ve purchased tickets to see an artist. If you leave the main area, you’re most likely can’t go back in even with a section or not. The bouncer on the left side door at the main area was very physical and assaulted my female friends. There was so many people trying to get in the main area since it was freezing cold and at some point people behind us started pushing my group in when the door opened and the bouncer pushed my female friends off the ground and two of them got hurt. He didn’t care at all and that behavior isn’t acceptable. We reported it to one of the promoter and the other bouncer on the other side so hopefully they’ll do something about it and it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Hope this place will train their staff better and never oversell tickets when they know they can’t hold over capacity limit. I do not recommend this place.

We visited from fl Oct 2, 2022 and it was a good vibe even though we went about 3pm it did not get crowded til about 6-7pm music was great waitress HOLLY was phenomenal kept checking on us and yes you must get a section because if not it’s really no where to sit you will standing all night DJ was really good

I was just in Houston 7/8/2023 rode by Sekai bcuz it is right across from the graffiti wall.. THE BUILDING IS CLOSED. There are orange stickers on the doors. Be leery of anybody tryna sell you a section. Its no way of knowing if/when they will reopen BUT be careful with these “promoters”. The number on the website is someone’s personal cellphone. I was trying to book a section for 7/8/2023 but never did bcuz it just didnt seem legit.. prices kept changing depending on who I spoke with, nobody could tell me who the “host” was or what “event” was taking place. They basically wanted me to send $600 for a club that was closed. Please do your research before booking with SEKAI.

Scammers!!! We booked a section here for 8/5. Received email confirmation after we paid our $500 deposit. The night came and the club was CLOSED! No refund, just the run around. Do not book a section here!

Went here with a lady friend for a New Years Eve concert she really wanted to check out. Never in my life of doing dance clubs in Houston have I seen a place packed so full of people and still look dead and lifeless. Nobodys really dancing or looked like they were having a good time, just stood around staring at one another.Some things to point out, theres no place to sit if you need to get off your feet, unless you paid for VIP seating or the hookah lounge upstairs. No stools at the bar area, drinks and shots are about $18 each, and theres both bouncers and police everywhere you look which could be intimidating for some people. Might explain the lack of liveliness; so what is this, a high school dance in Vegas?Only reason why Im giving this venue 2 stars instead of 1 is because its at least mostly nice to look at. The main floor is black & white checkered tile with a shallow pool in the middle for looks. My button up I wore that night is black & white checkered, so that was a happy coincidence. So if you like a nice looking venue with a cool 2-foot pool in the middle (that nobody obviously cant swim in lol) and dont mind the expensive drink prices, knock yourself out. But if youre not crazy about looks and know of a place you can actually go dance and party in, consider this closer to a 1-star review.

Most horrible venue ever! Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee you will be allowed entranced to see the performer. You will be stuck outside in unorganized lanes where people can get injured and shoved by bouncers and other staffs there. So inhumane. No proper service and customers are treated with no respect from the venue. The environment was very unsafe and such kill-joy, waste of time and money.

I got tickets off Eventbrite and when we arrive man at the door seem made that so many people was using the app for free tickets to get in free if not men are $40,$20 and up parking,women is $20,all drinks are $20 and up. They do only cater to the individuals with sections. They have two clubs in one where you can be inside out the heat or outside with pool in view. D.j was good, he played all types of music

This place sucks. My partner and I went to Sekai to see Gryffin perform on Feb 25. We did not enjoy the experience at all.You pay $50+fees to wait in lines see an artist perform. One line is at the entrance to the club. The second line is at the dance floor. If you don’t pay for bottle service and you’re not lucky enough to arrive before they close the doors to the dance floor, you end up waiting in line in the empty pool area.We were fortunate to arrive before they closed the doors to the dance floor, around 11:30. Gryffin came on around midnight. Thirty minutes into the set we had to use the bathroom. As we approached the edge of the roped off dance floor, we were told that if we left, we would net be able to return. After using the bathroom, there we had three choices: continue to listen to Gryffin through the speakers while dancing at the empty pool area, wait in line to maybe get back onto the dance floor, leave. We decided to leave and went down the street to Bauhaus.We’ll most likely never return. It’s not worth the hype and spectacle.

Avoid coming here at all costs unless you want to be treated terribly! Rude bouncers and security -- very disrespectful. They pushed and shoved me and my friends. The bouncer even grabbed my female friends chest. The layout sucks and they oversell tickets, which causes most people to wait outside the main area. It was freezing cold and they didnt provide enough heat lamps. Drinks are too expensive. It was like Astroworld all over again with the pushing and shoving between the bouncer and the crowd behind us.

JUST A BIG NO! Tried to celebrate a birthday at this venue for the very first time last night with a group. We had purchased tickets for a show shortly after they went on sale and when we arrived (literally 30 minutes after doors opened), security was blocking the door claiming the capacity was full. SEVERAL fans were turned away despite PAYING their hard earned money.After attending shows at other venues for years, never have I been denied access for a ticket that I paid for until last night. Do they really expect EVERYONE to arrive at 10:30PM when the headliner isnt even out on stage until around midnight???A simple solution to this wouldve been to place a limit on tickets sales before distributing them in the first place, especially if management feels the venue fails to accommodate larger crowds. Instead this felt like a giant case of false advertising and I truly felt like I was being scammed out of my money right before my very eyes as NO REFUNDS were given to anyone in my group.Fortunately Houston has plenty of options to enjoy nightlife and moving forward, I will spend my time and money elsewhere where management/staff are sensible enough to properly run an establishment.

There were more bouncers and people working there than those that were there to enjoy themselves. They definitely do NOT play dance music...DJ was completely unaware that no one was dancing and didnt seem to care. LOL I do NOT recommend this place at all. Staff was very rude and service is not their priority.

Mannnn!!!! What an awesome spot!!! A place where you can party and feel safe with all of the security officers around. Our coordinator Chatina, who is the Office Manager is awesome!! We celebrated our friends birthday with class!! The table setup was great!!! Great drinks, great ambience and a wonderful pool area which we marked as the best spot for our photos. And the DJ for the night...non other than...Lil Jon himself. I think we danced all night!!! Definetly my new hangout spot!!!

Event staff is unorganized and they oversell tickets to shows that wont guarantee you to see the performer. I wish I knew how this were beforehand, so I would not come here. We didnt even have a good time here because of that. Highly suggest avoiding this club unless you want to be disrespected.

Gorgeous venue!! Vegas style club with a spacious layout, beautiful pool, and multiple bars. Great music and big name DJ’s. If you haven’t stopped in yet, definitely go check it out ASAP! You won’t be disappointed.

Went here for Gryffin and it was the worst experience ever. We paid to see gryffin but couldn’t even get inside the main stage. Watch out for the bouncers/ securities, they’re the rudest people. We got shoved from the back as the door were open and got pushed by one of the bouncers there, and we’re super petite. We all fell and 1 of our friends hit her head on the floor but he didn’t even care to help us or apologize. We literally paid for a service but was treated so badly Definitely would never recommend this replace to anyone. I also included a photo of the bouncer that pushed us.

I went to sekai and it was such a vibe. The customer service was great, and my bottle came out fast after I ordered it!

If you haven’t been to Sekai yet you’re missing out! The light indoors is amazing and if you want to get some fresh air and enjoy the outside view they also have a nice indoor pool area where you can chill by. They have great DJ’s that have played here like Galantis and Lost Kings, so excited to see more amazing artist perform in the future.

Brand new club in Houston and its huge! Giant LED screens all over & a pool inside the venue makes it look and feel like being in Las Vegas. Highly recommend visiting on the weekends if youre visiting or already a resident. Atmosphere, music, service, 10/10

I was overcharged even though i told the staff that my friends had a section and had came slightly earlier than me. The venue also advertised that Kodak Black was going to perform but had never showed up.. false advertisement at it’s finest SMH

Worst place ever!! A group of me and my friends flew in from Florida and decided to check out this place and NEVER AGAIN!!! They failed to mention that part of the club was closed off on top of being table only. They let us pay, let us walk in then said the establishment was tables only and would not return our money when we asked to speak with management he shrugged us off. The staff was extremely rude as well when trying to get the matter handled. They are THIEVES and should be shut down. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place………

Went on a Saturday Everyone was in their section the cover charge was $40 and it wasn’t many people especially not women and the drinks are expensive and are mostly ice and juice over all a waste of $60 dollars

Cool Spot, rather expensive tbh. DJ Envy was there the night I went. They was charging 80 for up front parking and 40 in the rear. Overall I had a good time. Will return..

Had fun at this place, BUT I wish all their employees had a little more integrity because some of them sure don’t. I left my credit card in the card holder after closing my tab here on a Saturday night. I didn’t realize I had left my card there because I didn’t use my card all week until the following Thursday. Luckily, there were zero unwanted transactions on the card and I was able to lock it through the app before anybody could use it so I was certain my card was there. I called Sekai once they opened that same day and asked the man I spoke to if I could retrieve my card. He didn’t verify if my card was there and I was simply instructed to send an email so they could further assist me on this matter. The following day, my credit card alerted me that they’ve declined a purchase made on my locked card. WOW. Coincidence, I think not. Almost three weeks later, I have yet to hear back from anybody.

They’re so CHEAP they kept my money for a show that I wanted to take my nephews too. They were both 20 and we didn’t know the show was 21 and up. They literally told me to read the fine print. Cmon guys ok I made a mistake, no chance for a refund? We never made it past security and they said to send a refund request via email, and they would refund the money if I send pictures of my all of our ID’s, and our tickets: So I do a refund request and they send me a freakin DENIAL response. Cheap… OWNERSHIP… CHHEEAAPPP AND GREEEEDDDDY

If I can give this place a 0 star I would, staff are very racist, if you asian don’t set foot in this place, even though we book table they still want to charge us extra $50 per person as check-in fee (At first the manager said $20). Rude attitude, unfriendly environment, never come back again.

Terrible venue. Unorganized and oversold a recent concert. Spent entire night watching the dj from the outdoor section in the very cold weather. Security was rude and physical, shoved people to the ground. Will never go back. Dont recommend this venue for anyone.

Sekai would be the hottest club in Houston if it played rap/hip & hop as well as edm. Hard to beat heart when it’s the same genre all night. Love Sekai’s layout, I had a lot of fun. It’s a better stereo basically that’s Vegas style.

They have bouncers that limit the dance floor. If you pay the cover for the DJ you can’t even see them if you’re too late. 10/10 worst place to see a DJ you appreciate

My bartender, Pili, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!Im usually not a fan of clubs but this one was easy to maneuver through. Good service and good time.

Better be careful of the 5-7 guys hanging outside flipping bottle tops asking for advice just to take $1,000 from you. One of them said they were the owner’s cousin.

Halloween Party. The house was jumping all night! They got an amazing DJ. Perfect mix of Hip Hop and Latin music.

This is what houston needed ! Super immersive sound and great vibes all around I’m looking forward to pool season since they have a gigantic pool outside with 2 story atrium bar and sections all throughout!

Strobe lights are so bad/dangerous. Club itself was okay but I seriously suggest bringing sunglasses.

I booked a section for brunch. The club closed due to weather conditions. No refund or professionalism was given.

Wish they would have kept the beautiful iconic graffiti people visited this area for, instead we get this ugly white building. Really really hate what they did.
