Howl at the Moon Columbus

This was a first time experience a friend asked me to go we are 60ish. and I invited my daughter who is 40ish. The manager, I think his name was Daniel , was so personable he came by our table to welcome us and see if we were enjoying the music and drinks. He engaged in casual conversation and told us about the band members having various college degrees and did this for fun side gig ! He had a great sense of humor too! The band played requests and a variety of music genres they were very talented musicians and singers.It was a fun experience. Good bartenders good drinks ! Fun night out ✌🏼

Bartenders were amazing.No food was served.I thought this would be dueling pianos but they really just took turns singing. No dueling or audience participation

Stopped in while on a business trip. So many people and the locals were extremely nice. Fun lively atmosphere the band was super fun.

If you’re considering this bar, it’s a yes! The music, drinks, and food are nailing it! Dean has cultivated the best late night snacks and drinks whiles you’re partying with your friends. I’m visiting while in town for a wedding and couldn’t be more excited I ended up here. 10/10 music, drinks, and food!!

We had a blast here! The drinks are great and it’s a great atmosphere. It does get so packed that the dance floor gets crowded and it can be a bit hard to move around in here but it is a fun and great time.

Drinks and atmosphere were fantastic. Bar tenders were quick and attentive, but the performers ruined the vibe. I don’t know if I just wasn’t drunk enough to enjoy, but me and my wife left after two drinks.

We went here for a night out on my bachelorette party & it was amazing! Variety of genres of songs. The atmosphere was amazing, the bartenders and other staff were so friendly & welcoming. If you’re in Columbus this is a must-go place!!! We will be back!

Great place for happy hour. Booked ahead and got in free. Entertainment was fabulous! No food, but coming soon. They let us carry food in from the North Market. Parking was a haste as I am handicapped and can’t walk far. $25 to park as Com Fest was going on just down the street.

Won a party to go there. Got 2 free 1 dollar drink tickets that couldnt be used on anything but low grade alcohol couldnt even use them to lower the cost of the over priced watered down drinks. The entertainment is just ok and and gets repetitive and boring after a while. Will not return and can not recommend it.

I was at the pride bar crawl with my friend, she bought 2 drinks for about 14 bucks and they charged her card 95 bucks. They didnt give her a receipt so she didnt tip, but was going to on the next order until we all decided to go to another bar. We all read the reviews on yelp and apparently this has happened before. They be scamming to get tips but didnt give the receipt in the first place. And yeah she closed out her tab, so no fee there. 🙄

Basically, i did a pride bar crawl thats started at Howl at the Moon. I ordered 2 drinks at the same time for a friend and I, totaling to be about $14.50-$15. I paid, and closed my tab as i didnt think wed be staying there for long. They didnt give me a receipt, which is where I would add the tip, so I didnt (though I would have normally). My friends rushed us out of the bar after that. But I am 100% sure I closed my tab.For those 2 drinks, they charged me $95.14. I emailed them, with no response and they are closed until Thursday now. After reading reviews on google and yelp, Ive seen other people have experienced this also with no help or resolution from Howl at the Moon. Luckily, I disputed it with my bank and they are looking into it. It sucks that this seems to be a normal thing, as the atmosphere was great there.Id also like to add that this was the first stop, so I wasnt drunk and did it on accident. And had I been given an receipt I would have tipped. My bank believed this is a typical case of a bar tender wanting a higher tip.I hope they resolve issues with customers in the future!

Came here Saturday night to start out our girlfriends Bachelorette party extravaganza. From the bartenders, to the band, to the security staff- everyone was friendly and amazing. Drinks were great and the atmosphere was poppin. A special shout-out to one of the bouncers Callie for taking care of us and showing us the ropes the whole night. Also to the manager Dean who was super friendly and attentive. And also to Nina who was absolutely amazing!

I love the place it was an amazing experience for my first time the band was excellent and I give the bartender 100% its a great place to come and relax and enjoy the entertainment

The most fun Ive had in years. Musicians were amazing - could play any song we requested on any instrument. Dance up front for extra fun!

Dont waste your money on reserving a table! Our group paid $220 to reserve a table for a birthday party. Two small 4 tops were pushed together in the back corner of the bar, you could barely see the stage and there wasnt even enough space for everyone to put their drink down. We ended up leaving, they at least agreed to give us a refund.

I was kicked out tonight for requesting songs which i thought would get the crowd hype. Being a nightclub DJ for years youd think would garner some benefit of the doubt. Instead I was kicked from the club. I understand a difference of opinion is likely, but kicking me out? just dont play the song. Honesty.

We were hoping this bar would be a little more busy when we were bar hopping but it was more low-key which didnt turn out to be a bad thing. I am obsessed with the band they have there. They play a lot of improv based on requests for tips and theyre so funny. If youre bar hopping, make this a stop its fun, you can get drinks in a bucket, and the band will crack you up. Also its way less claustrophobic than some of the other places on Park.

There isn’t a better spot in Columbus! Bartenders are amazing and the atmosphere is amazing with the live band playing all night.

Ive been to several piano bars, and as a whole the performers here were definitely on the worse side of ones Ive seen. The drinks were pretty good, but on the pricey side. But overall my group still had fun.

Fun spot with live music, piano, etc. multiple floors. Areas can be reserved which is nice if you’re planning a large group outing.

After paying $570 for a table for New Year’s Eve. The seating was packed. The gourmet buffet that came with the table was a bit to be desired. To top it all off they allowed so many general admission in that they overcrowded the place so much that we no longer got service at our table and we couldn’t see any of the entertainment that we paid for. Definitely would not do this again

Great atmosphere, good drinks, and good food. Food was really cheap also. Was not expecting that. I would definitely reserve a table before going. Takes care of your cover charge and you get a gift card, so youre really not out any extra money. I do wish one of the servers came around to the tables to take drink orders, but minor inconvenience.

Visited this past weekend with my dad and sisters. We had a huge Christmas gift for Chris. Only to find out he’s no longer employed here. That sucks ! The vibe isn’t the same as we last remembered, And if they lost out on a good employee like Chris very genuine , and real then this must be a shady place of business . We will not be coming back!!!

Historically I have loved Howl at the Moon. I have been to several of them around the country. Unfortunately it looks like theyre format has changed. It used to be a dueling piano bar when people actually played at the piano. This seemed to be just a simple girl band with a couple of guys providing backup. They frequently didnt play the piano at all.They used to sing raunchy songs, celebrate birthdays, and have bachelorettes come on stage. While we were there, nobody ever engaged the audience at all. I guess its fine if a mediocre girl band that played music youve never heard of your thing. We were disappointed and would not come backThe bartending staff was phenomenal. They were quick, attentive, and funny.

What a fun place to go. Its so much better than just going to a bar. The music was great. The piano players are simply amazing. Its not just a night out. Its an experience.

Where’s the big Guy Chris Haven’t seen him the past two weeks. It’s not The same without his Energy And Vibe. I honestly visit this club every week just to see him he’s awesome. Who’s the new skinny dude ? He’s a wanna be Chris and he tries too hard to fit in . Chris is just a natural with humans. BRING CHRIS BACK WE LOVE AND MISS HIM!

Went here after my wedding and had a blast. Unfortunately, I mistakenly booked the upstairs room for the wrong night (the night after my wedding...I had one job) so 30+ people showed up a day early for the reservation. BUT the manager (@Dean Mansfield) still honored the reservation and even had the musicians play a song for my new wife and I. He didnt have to do any of that, but went out of his way to make sure my wife and I got to celebrate our wedding night in style. I really appreciate him for that and will be telling everyone I know to visit Howl at the Moon CBUS. Thanks Dean.

Got here early and we were the only ones. The place picked up around 9pm. The staff was friendly and the drinks were strong and cold.

Arrived at 5:58pm. We opened the door and and an extremely rude woman started raising her voice at us and said, “We don’t open until 6pm” while flailing her hands around like a lunatic. She turns to another woman and continues a casual conversation so it’s not like she was tasked to be in a hurry to open. They both were standing at the front door not doing anything. Gentleman (just the 2 of us) with me politely asked if we could just stand inside the door to get out of the cold because it was windy and 34 degrees out. She freaked out again and yelled at us that they didn’t open until 6pm and we would be in the way for her to put stuff outside (?) (ironically, by this time it was 6pm) so we walked on to another restaurant. Gentlemen with me commented he didn’t want to spend his money there if that’s how we’re going to be treated. We would have happily waited outside but the woman’s attitude was ridiculous. It was an innocent question that didn’t need such an aggressive, obnoxious reply. If the staff is this rude to you as a potential patron about to spend money in their establishment why would you want to be there?

Went on opening night expecting a classy piano bar. Dont get me wrong...there are 2 pianos but you cant really hear them over the rest of the band and singing of old 2000s song covers. Its definitely more of a sports bar...but with pianos? Lots of standing room and loud music if thats what youre looking for. Theres an upstairs area and bar that is a little more chill with limited seating. Drinks were supposed to be half off all night after 8pm but we were charged full price and the bartender said there was nothing he could do about it and didnt know about the drink specials.

The band was absolutely awful last night - the girls were always off pitch and it was not pleasant to listen to. The bar staff, especially Jerchio and Rachel, were so nice tho so we’ll be back, and at least give the band another try.

We had the place rented out for part of the night. They took Greta care of us. Good food. Moved upstairs after it opened up to the public, great space own bar. Fun atmosphere.I would go back

I stopped in on a Saturday night for a martini, the bartender that helped me was polite and prompt.The atmosphere was really cool too, the music that night was acceptable for any age and people were really enjoying their time.

Band was good for Nye, surprisingly very crowded with covid still relevant. Drinks were great for being an open bar for 50$ a person (rate to have a table was outrageous). Only reason I gave 4 stars because tall lady at front door was not friendly when I had a question waiting in line she acted as if I was a Hassel, she also said there were no stools at the bar and we found 5 at back of bar? Lol. Post Malone looking guy was cool and bar tenders were great. Nice patio outback. Not the best piano bar Ive been to, but would go back. Frat boy central.Also quit leaving the same cheesy response to people who went out of their way to leave you a good review..

It was an incredible experience! The service is great! The live performances are the best! The mozzarella sticks are to die for😂They have special offers for birthday and bachelorette parties!

This place is lit. The security guard Chris is a hard worker. He does everything he needs to ensure you’ll have a good time with no worries. Food is great . A fun atmosphere!

Great concept and very fun but still a lot of kinks to work out, particularly if you have a table.-paid $300 for a table to continuously be told there would be a free appetizer buffet. Half my group showed up hungry; only to be told there was no free food. One of my friends threw a stink and got some fries for free, but still super unfair.-included in the $300 was supposed to be a shout out from the band for my birthday- didn’t happen-free happy hour/table included 8 people “get free admission” but everyone got free admission as long as they wore 90s gear for 90s weekend-was charged for 5 appetizers, only ordered 3. Didn’t throw a fit because they were so busy and I was annoyed by the other things I just wanted to leave.-showed up at 6 and there were plenty of tables left. By 9 they were full, but if you show up at 6 you won’t need to buy one.Overall I’d go again but absolutely NOT waste my money on a table.

Cherry limeade cocktail was fantastic. Band was awful, but in a really fun way. Seemed like a younger crowd than the bars closer to the convention center.

This past weekend I unfortunately left my phone and wallet at Howl at the Moon. Waking up on sunday morning i realized I did not have my things and Howl at the moon is closed sunday-wed. I of course panicked and reached out to their company through multiple facets, instagram, email, phone call. The general manager got back to me Monday morning and scheduled a time to meet me so I could collect my things. I was impressed by their promp response and flexibility.

Love this place, but check your receipts. We didnt realize until the next day we were charged for drinks that people in our party didnt order.

Been to many Howling- bartender was amazing. Service otherwise was poor. Bathrooms poor. Horrible partnership with a pub crawl. Going to Big Bang instead!

It is entertaining for a couple hours and good place to start the night. Probably wouldnt go there again tho without the happy hour special like my friend got.
