Its so exciting to have an Eagle back in Dallas! This venue is beautiful and is decorated with some amazing local queer artists work. It has one large central bar with multiple bartenders, as well as kind of a smaller bar in the corner of the dance floor. I went on opening night and it was PACKED, so if youre going anytime soon Id get there early (like before 9p.m. honestly). The dust is still settling on a lot of things, so well have to wait and see how busy it gets on a more average/casual night, but for the time being you can expect Bear Night every Thursday, Gear/Leather night every Saturday, and Trash Disco every Sunday.I highly recommend checking out the location to enjoy the vibe and feel the excitement from the community about having an Eagle again. To make it easier on you for the crowds plan on arriving early, closing out your tab after each drink (the tabs arent shared between each bartender), and being patient with the staff as they get into the rhythm of all the newness going on.
Great leather bar with great music, and a large dance floor. Great Staff and Bar service. Plenty of unisex restroom stalls. They even have lockers if you want to change your clothes. Patio space was long but narrow.
Overall, starting to shape its identity as a new leather venue. PLEASE TURN DOWN THE MUSIC. Not able to have any sense of a conversation with anyone without shouting. I would have stayed more than an hour otherwise. I am not the only one with this complaint. I hope to go often if they can get the atmosphere right.
First of all, all posts, pictures, and reviews on here before October of 2023 are invalid. This is not the same Dallas Eagle of before. This is a new location, new owner and completely new bar.I love that it is away from Oaklawn! I live by Six Flags and I can finally go out in Dallas and be there in less than 15 minutes! The two times I have been here since the Grand Opening have been wonderful. An actual return to a Gay Men’s Bar! No females, they/thems or alike trying erase Gay male spaces. Hallelujah. Hope it stays that way.
Beef night for TBRU was a hit and a lot of it was thanks to AJ our bartender . He knew how to makes some great drinks and was very attentive when he saw us walking back up . Great atmosphere too, love that the eagle is back.
Very cool venue that’s run by some sweet people. I’ve had great convos with bartenders, managers and patrons. The staff creates a friendly, accepting environment that fosters leather, puppy, underwear dress up and good vibes. I’m a fan!
Do not order your drinks from the front bar because they will Over charge you. Go to the back patio. The music is great, but the children must learn that disco began before the 1980s.
Its an OK bar but not really any different than the ones on the strip besides the themed nights and a location about as bad as they could find. I was excited to have an Eagle in Dallas again, but its basically an expensive (drinks are overpriced for what you get), sanitized version of what you would think of as an Eagle. These used to be dark, edgy, freeing places. So far this is just another gay bar with a bit of leather thrown in here and there. Please figure out a soul for this place.
I live about 10 minutes from this bar, and Ive been here about 8 times since I moved to Dallas 6 years ago. The atmosphere of the bar is what is advertised, a leather bar with occasional busy nights (mostly Saturday). I find other nights of the week really struggle. They have bondage equipment on display (a saint Andrews cross--Google it) which is NEVER used, its basically PR. Maybe my expectations are too high after seeing real leather bars after traveling to other big cities, but I feel like this place is a big commercial with none of the real thing. Everything is designed for a politically correct version of the leather brand. Its pretty much identical to every other bar in the gay Dallas area just with a leather skin on it. Bartenders here do not honor line order, they will serve people who obviously cut and edge in line. Ive had it happen twice with two different Bartenders. Just out for the money. No real community feel here. Its definitely a commercially owned bar, not a local business. Edited 7 months later as an afterthought for anyone interested in music that it will be the typical canned boom-chick a-boom repetative constant repeat all night. No interjection of historic, recent, or current dance or edm music here.
I heard it was open in a new location so decided to check it out on Friday night. The bar itself is very nicely laid out and modern. The dancefloor is great but the music was outdated gay circuit sounds from the early 2000s. Two small shots of Patron and a beer came to $31 without tip so its a bit on the expensive side.
Sound system for competition is poor..have not been able to understand MC , contesten or supporters
These are all very helpful. We have been reluctant to go in bec of they/then/F2M larps. Yet, after reading these fresh posts- yes! We will make a weekend of it and come. We have been cautious about spending $ in a places that let’s then destroy our community traditions and spaces; but certainly we are coming to check out the new place. Catch up your twitter page I think there might be 2 a new one and old twitter page. None say you are open again- just a friendly Heads up! It still shows closed from a couple of years ago. We use Twitter almost exclusively now- we found out the new place by word of mouth. Very excited
The layout is decent, I like the atmosphere, but the drink prices are way too high and I am not impressed with the outdoor area. No comment on the music.
This is a new Dallas Eagle, new owner and new location.I like this new buildings location far better than the old one as its just off the freeway. No down town city traffic to deal with but its still centrally located in Dallas. What I dont like is what passes as their patio. Do to minimum distance laws to doors you cant smoke on the patio aka 15 feet from any entrance of a building. You can almost touch the building and the fence that encloses the patio at the same time. At the old Dallas Eagle the place to do your socializing was on the patio where everyone was free to smoke and the noise level was far lower where you could actually hear people talk over the music.I am not happy at how tiny the stage is at the new dallas eagle. At the old dallas eagle they had reach out events for the community that used the stage. The new stage is so small its basically only useful for making announcements. My last issue is just my personal taste. I think the eagle artwork on the wall at the old Dallas Eagle was far better. I thought it had stile and boldly said THIS IS THE DALLAS EAGLE where the new locations eagle artwork its like they just did not even try and just had painted the first eagle artwork they found on google. It would be really awesome if the new dallas eagle could take over the business (a bar???) next door and make the building into a store for gay apparel, have a larger parking lot, and to take over some of the current parking lot to build a far bigger patio.
Great space, Good music, Friendly staff, Handsome men, and a fun “Eagle” atmosphere. So glad to have the Eagle back in Dallas. 5 Stars.
To dark too dark not friendly music sucks find out yourself for yourself
Very different than the other gay bars, but in a great way.Wear something leather, if you like. But all dress is welcome. My favorite thing is that everyone is very care free, and letting their freak flag fly. Even if you don’t care about leather, being somewhere that lets people do their own thing without apologizing is refreshing.I miss it since covid started.
Love the spaciousness and openness of the bar! Always a friendly crowd and a good time!
First time visit; staffs are very friendly (the hot one who served me; remember my drink wow...impressive)and very sexy...and hot. Good size of dance floor and full of hot leather-lover-guys on the floor. No problem to visit again.
Went in on a Tuesday and had one of the best times in Dallas. Sat and had great conversation with the staff and that made the night. Sergio (probably not spelled right) and bartenders were friendly, inviting, and funny. If you love a place where you can relax and be yourself then this is the place!
I was there this Sunday 6/3/18 had a gud time. Friendly staff, usual clicks but Id go back in 5 months that keeps clubs fresh if you visit rarely. The big men arent shy with body image so refreshing to see in our community!
When my man and I arrived the place was pretty dead, but thats ok because the staff is awesome and made us feel welcome. We took the opportunity to get fitted for new harnesses. Pike was super awesome, he made all of the adjustments and fitted them for us. Great service and really friendly, and also very easy on the eyes. Hope to run into him again.
My favorite gay bar in Dallas.. always a good time to relax and have a few drinks.. the people are pretty easy going.. and the bartenders are super friendly and pour nicely.. Disco Night is awesome.
LOVE THE NEW LOCATION. IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD THEY ARE BACK!!!! I MISSED YALL!!!!Much better than the View....no shade tho ..
Not horrible but patio very small and the location, location, location is not the greatest. They should move it to the Maple location.
I’m from out of town and I stopped here after turning 21 this past week. Randel (or the name was Daniel. So sorry it was really loud!) made my first I’ve ever had. He was extremely sweet. If I get the chance I’ll definitely come back. Usually I feel somewhat sell conscious about myself and body but guys of all types were there and completely shirtless. After someone helped me take mine off, I realized, Dallas Eagle is very judgement free when it comes to your body
Great staff. Also, a local place where we can get together. Sunday Funday is a place for Line Dance lessons and friends gathering before Monday Madness
Went during a not busy time and still got ignored while trying to buy a drink so the bartender could cackle with some other bartender queen. Owner sat right there and didnt say a word. Wont be back again I promise that.
I love this bar! Its my favorite spot in Dallas. Friendly people, great service. Never had a bad experience.
Decent place to party for LGBT group. Drinks are a bit expensive and lines can get long but other than that ok social environment.
After sitting there for 10 minutes waiting on some sort of acknowledgement, we left. (This is for the new “Eagle”)
Hey The Dallas Eagle is great!!! I just moved back to Dallas and for the hecht of it i googled Gay Bars and what comes up for Eagle is pic of The Hidden Door>>>May want to add pic of the Eagle? Mark.
The staff and manger are very rude and racist the door man was rude and when I asked about it he said I was putting my perception on him then when the manager came up and I voiced my complaint about the door guy he didnt seem to care I will never spend my money with a racist. Zero stars if I could. Wed Jan 1st 2020
Friendly bar with the best happy hour in town! You dont have to be a leather daddy, bear, or cub to have a great time! Ask for Robert!
Basic Draft List. Good Music. Good Lighting. Interesting Atmosphere. No Cover. Free Parking. Judgement Free Zone :)
Ive only gone twice but only because I dont like going places solo. But the atmosphere was much better than most clubs.
Ive never seen so many young people at a leather bar. And they had a shop inside. Pretty cool.
Fun bar, neat and clean, if you don’t mind bartenders in their underwear 😁😉.
Great place! Great crew!
Great space to do some dancing. Friendly staff. Strong drinks. Love it.
Already the best gay bar in Dallas.
What can I say? Always love spending time with my South Central family and the owners are always overly accommodating.
Gay mens leather bar. Decent drink prices, weekends can get pretty crazy, in a good way!
Really nice place, good staff, clean toilets, overall, have and will continue to keep visiting
This is by far my favorite Leather bar and it is the home bar for many in the DFW Leather community
