I’ve been a member of Massage Envy Old Town for over a decade! This location is convenient, clean, friendly, and has great therapists. Tia and Cathy have been my go-to therapists for a while now and I highly recommend them! They have helped with my neck and back pain significantly. The option to add a variety of enhancements to your service is nice and the app makes it easy to schedule a service quickly!

I have been a member at this Massage Envy location for years and I’ve been really fortunate to have had very good therapists there. Monse was my therapist for the last few years and I’m going to miss her now that I’m moving out of town. She is very thorough with a firm touch. Probably the best therapist I’ve experienced for a person like me who is very active with yoga and running, but also spending long hours on planes and in front of the computer. Tried to make an appointment online for 4pm, but accidentally picked the wrong time. I immediately called (within 5 minutes) to reschedule because I couldn’t make that time (I called about 11am and online appointment was made at 10:55am so 5 hours before appointment). They charged me $65 cancellation policy because it was “same day cancellation.” Really? You can’t cancel within 5 minutes? You lost a weekly customer because of this backwards policy.
I’ve been seeing JD and Sonia for over a year. Every time I leave I feel refreshed, stress free, and glowing. Both knows and recommends what I need at each session. I fully trust their decisions. I won’t see no one but them.
Would not recommend Old Town location. Go to West Village instead. Much nicer and quiet and they don’t price gouge you. Prices are cheaper at the West Village location. To add insult to injury the folks at Old Town told me it was a standard market rate difference. Mmmm ….how different can the market be if the locations are 3 miles apart?!
I’m not a big review person but felt like this was worth my time.Horrible to virtually no customer service, a 12 year old child can perform the responsibilities of the front desk (scan gift cards and sell promotions), and to make matters worse they have multiple front desks employees performing these functions. For a company that has overpriced massages relative to the market, you would think they could retrieve a purchased - lost gift card massage. You create an account that just shows “proof of purchase” but they cannot redeem it unless you have the physical gift card and offer no accommodation. Also, all locations are franchised and carry out different processes - I got a checkout code (Denton, TX location) after purchase to supplement my previously purchased gift card to support a 90-min massage and the front desk employees acted totally clueless to what I was talking about and didn’t even offer to look up the code or further assistance.Highly recommend going to your local boutique massage parlor where you’ll get an affordable massage with better customer experience. To readers running their own business: invest in CUSTOMER service, it drives support and repeat customers and this should be the #1 quality in employees that handle CUSTOMERS.
My massage therapist, Bobby, at Massage Envy Oldtown, really works out the knots in my muscles. My massages keep me both physically and mentally healthy. The Oldtown location has a great staff and the visits are always pleasant.
There was a $10 conversion fee and the staff were very pushy about asking for tips. The massage was mediocre, with minimal skill involved—mainly just applying oil.Im only going to use up my prepaid credits, which feels like a never-ending cycle. I dislike coming here, but Im financially obligated until my credits are exhausted.
Sonia is amazing! She looks at your skin and gives you her opinion and leaves you glowing! Her conversations are so loving and funny! Best experience ever! You have to see her!

My mother and I have never had a good experience at this location. She loves Anthony, however the past couple times he has been falling asleep and snoring during her session. We called to let the manager know the issue and she did say we would receive a full refund but stated that we should “consider scheduling with someone else” if this was going to be a problem.

This was my first experience at Massage Envy, and I booked a same-day appointment on Black Friday. While not the swankiest place Ive seen, it was perfectly acceptable and clean. Relaxing, stress-free environment. Knowledgeable and friendly desk staff, no hassles at check-in or out. Masseur was absolutely fantastic. Cannot recommend William highly enough. He clearly knows his anatomy well, worked my problem areas expertly, and gave recommendations for how to continue to work on them at home. Ill be back soon!
I didn’t want to say anything or be rude while I was there, but it was not an enjoyable massage. The entire massage was painful and he kept focusing on sensitive spots the entire time like under my armpit and pressing down hard. I kept thinking he was almost done with that area so I didn’t say anything but then he circled back around to it again. It really hurt, there was NOTHING enjoyable about this at all. I wanted a relaxing shoulder, trap, arm, and back massage. The guy did a decent arm massage for my right arm, but then he didn’t even do my left arm at all, he just skipped over it. I also mentioned I didn’t want my chest touched but he spent quite a bit of time on my chest. I wanted to be half asleep and relaxed today because I have been stressed out with work, but that was not possible. I was wide awake and all he did was push my limits on uncomfortable spots the entire time. I won’t be back, it was also very overpriced I thought.

First and last time going to massage envy! My mom and I went and both did not enjoy. The oil used was not very smooth and neither was the massage. I am a loyal customer of THE NOW and I will never cheat again!
Sometimes this place can be hit or miss when it comes to masseuses, but for the majority, it’s pretty great! I highly recommend Larry, as he does structural integration muscle therapy and he is amazing at it!!! I will say this place is super zen, super clean and the facials are amazing too! Missy and Sonia know how to leave you feeling refreshed and eliminate all the toxins, it’s wonderful!

Purchased a massage envy gift card for my husband costing $125 for a 90 minute massage.I called and made the appointment, confirmed it was all paid for and bringing cash to tip. My husband just came home and informed me that it was $195 (not even including tip) and it was only that cost if we signed up for the membership... online.This was NOT DISCLOSED VERBALLY OR WRITTEN.We will never be returning to this franchise.
Always having problems booking 90 min massages for after work. Tried to book for tomorrow evening, and told the only therapist who does firm, Management will NOT let her book 90 minutes, although she is completely open with 2-one hour openings back to back. I said ok, I will book the 2 hours. Nope Management will not let you do that either. I prepay $70 a month and have 19 massages to use and Management will not let this firm massage therapist do a 90 minutes. Can not wait use up my hours and cancel.

I booked for facial, and went there, they said appt got canceled. They said we sent you message but I didn’t receive and confirmed it, so they are supposed to send email as well when it is already on my account. Even if I had received it, they sent the message in the last minutes that I was on my way. So it wouldn’t still work.this ruined my plan as me and my husband both booked in the same day. They were like my time was not important.I had saw similar reviews and doubted to book here but I did just because other locations were fully booked.
This location has a revolving door of therapists, so don’t get comfortable with one if you like them. (Bad management?) Beyond that, this location moved my 6:00 appointment today with no notice. I booked 2 weeks in advance. I show up and I’m told it’s not until 6:30. The front desk associate looked through the notes to see that 4 days ago, someone moved my appointment back 30 minutes (probably to accommodate another client wanting a 90 minute massage) and I was never notified. Beyond that, I have never had a massage here start earlier than 5 minutes after my appointment time. It’s usually 10 minutes late.I’m just trying to use up my credits to cancel my membership at this point.
My membership was finished by last month. And I wanted to cancel my membership by phone. They said you must come here and sign the documents, so I drove from Wylie to the old town area to mark the cancellation form. After I signed the cancellation form, the the lady who specializes in customer service there said all set I am going to give your Form to my manager so she can go necessary cancel the process she is not here now. I told her pls DO NOT FORGET. Otherwise, they are going to Charge another month which I already paid, and wait 12 months to cancel, Guess What??? They CHARGED again this month because they LOST my cancellation form and needed to sign in again, and she said we could not give a REFUND once our system charged your credit card. So is this joke or a rip-off??? Who is going to cover up my 70$ loss??? What poor customer service and miss communication this??? I am still working on my members ship cancellation. Stay away from this place as much as far away if you consider your Money and budgets.
They have absolutely incompetent staff at the front desk. This is the second time in a row that booking or confirming an appointment has been absolutely painful. This evening I spoke to Jodi. I was trying to book a massage appointment and a microodermabrasion appointment. After a lot of discussion she finally landed on a date and tried to book me for a microdermabrasion followed by a massage. Luckily, I am very educated about services. No-one would have a microdermabrasion and then lay face down to have a massage. Then she tried to book me for one service and asked me to wait an hour for the second service. Ridiculous! I finally got a proper booking but it was painful!

I was promised a service as part of my available massage credits and they refused to honor after the fact - forcing me to pay. I went into the store to cancel my monthly membership and book two massaged using my available credits. I was with my friend at the time of canceling AND booking. The person who booked the appointment confirmed my cancelation - told me I had 9 available hours to use, and with the 1.5 hour massage for me, and the 1.5 hour massage for my friend would bring my available credits down to 6 hours. A week later, my friend and I had our massages. When I went to close out and pay tip I was told I owed money for my friends full 1.5 hour massage. When I questioned it I was told that Im not able to transfer my credit because I cancelled my membership (the exact opposite of what I was told when booking). When they talked to the manager she said she would only accommodate me for 1 hour and I still needed to pay the $58 dollar difference, even though I was specifically told my credits would be counted towards my friends massage. When I told the manager I should not have to pay that, she told me that if I didnt pay they would remove all of my remaining massage credits which I had already paid for. The manager was extremely unhelpful, rude, and unwilling to work with a customer who had paid for over a year of membership.
This location is a scam. Front desk tricked me into a year membership by not telling me about the commitment before signing up. Then I called in to have it cancelled once the year finished and the manager for whatever reason reactivated the account and started billing me for 5 months without me ever asking for it. Do not go here for any reason I would give it zero stars if I could.
Two weeks ago I scheduled a massage with Paige, but the morning on the day of I get a message informing me that she had cancelled the appointment. The message said I could reschedule, so I thought I would give it a try. When I called I was rudely told that I was not able to get another appointment for the same day, and that I would have to make a whole new appointment for a totally different weekend.If you are trying to get relief and have a business that treats you with care/respect then you should find a new place.
Cancelled my membership here. Staff repeatedly told me a month ago, even when i spoke with the manager, that i would be able to transfer the remaining massages (3) on my account to another person after cancelling. when i tried to do so, their manager states that massages arent a guarantee of my membership service. rather they are simply a benefit. so i lost all three massages when membership was cancelled with a doctors note. When speaking with other locations their managers were really helpful when trying to accommodate their customers needs. Not at this location. The Membership you pay for is not cheap. Go to another business. dont get scammed. They have structured their business to steal from you.
Sonia is my new favorite facial person! She was so sweet and very knowledgeable. Carefully explained each step she took as she administered the chemical peel products and after care steps. Believe the bad reviews. I decided to book a massage for my birthday, I had booked it for 5:30 p.m. They called me on the phone and I let them know I’d be arriving soon, I ended up arriving around 5:40 p.m. They told me a massage tech would be ready regardless. I asked if there would be a discount for my first time there because I read that it was possible on the website. The receptionist said she would let me know so I waited until 6:20p.m. on the couches. I left to the restroom and when I got out a massage tech showed me to my room. It turns out there had been a mixup and they apologized however they let me know some other client had given up their time like they were doing me a favor. They let me get ready and the massage which was supposed to be an hour long was cut short to 7:00p.m. but I was supposedly given the discounted price of $65. I left a tip because the massage technician was nice. The receptionist still tried to sell me another service but I let her know the massage wasn’t even a full hour to which she replied that was the reason for my discount as if it that made up for it. I had thought the discount was because it was my first time there. Anyways I think I can get an hour long massage somewhere else for around that price and better service so I won’t be returning.

I have been going to a variety of massage envy locations in different states for roughly 8 years and on Monday, April 22 I had the worst experience at this location, which I had been to one time before.So I had gotten there at 1:10 for my 1:30 appointment. By 1:40 no one had come to take me back to the room so I went to the front desk and none of them seemed to know what was happening and why the massage therapist was running late. No one bothered to find out or offer me anything for waiting, which most locations do. Typically if there is a conflict and someone is running late you get a deal on the massage or free aromatherapy. NOTHING.I was finally taken back at 1:50 pm for my 1:30 appointment. My hands and feet were not massaged. I was supposed to have an hour and a half appointment so we should have ended at 3:20 but instead I was used out of the room at 3:10, probably to ensure the therapist wasnt running hugely behind the rest of the day, but that means I got robbed 10 minutes of my massage. Once again nothing was offered in replacement for that. Worst experience, waste of money, didnt get the amount of time I paid for, and I will not be going back because the customer service was terrible. DO NOT GO HERE.
I’ve been a member at massage envy for several years and unfortunately don’t have the time to do monthly massages. Larry at old town is hands down the best, he really listens and targets troubled areas.I give massage envy as a whole a 3/5 because canceling and pausing your membership is a hassle. It’s like a gym membership, easy to join a hassle to cancel. Cancelling some how takes 10 days to process so they will still charge you the monthly fee but then you can’t use the credit because you cancelled? So that’s pretty unfair in my book and in the future I’ll take my business elsewhere where I don’t feel cheated by what seems to be either laziness or dumb policies (cheap business)
I decided to treat myself after a day of some much needed retail therapy. The environment is nice and clean. However, after the consultation about what I needed and the so called customization, I did not get anything I desired. I went for a major run this week and my thighs really needed some attention. He did not even massage them. Thank God it was the I hour full body at the introductory price; I wont be back. I also expressed I wanted medium to deep massage. What I got was comparable to someone rubbing lotion over me and just using their body weight . I could easily do that for myself. Nothing special here people. Ill stick to my Asian massages from now on. Massage Envy did not even touch my arms! I dont appreciate paying hard earned money just for hype.
My past visit at Massage Envy Spa was absolutely HORRIBLE. My aesthetician Sonya needs to be retrained or replaced. I went in for a simple 60 mins facial and came out with more trauma on my face than I’ve ever had before. During my session she was being very obnoxious. Demanding me to look at my face using the camera on my phone while she put some “face mask” on my face that caused my face to burn almost feeling like a level 2 chemical peel. Again may I add I only came in for a simple facial. Once I told her that my face was burning she promptly wiped the concoction off my face. My face was able to cool down eventually. She then proceeded to talk my ear off and not do her job as an aesthetician properly. I would like to sum this all up by saying I come to Massage Envy to relax in peace and trust that service providers are going to do an amazing job. Sonya did not give me that experience at all.
I have got to say, this place stands our among other Massage Envy locations. The staff is very discreet and friendly, very polite. However, above all, I have been going to this location for a year and Virginia is the BEST professional. I have gotten so many massages before but she tops them all! I am moving out of state and I am so sad I wont get to come here anymore. If you are thinking about ME, I truly recommend this location.

One of worse customer service experience ever!!! Front desk employee, Amber was straight up rude and unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment at 1:45pm for 2pm massage. When I looked at maps it seems like it was going to take me 20-25 mins to get there. When I called back right away to reschedule she told me I’ll be charged for the session because I didn’t call 3 hours before the session. I explained to her that I didn’t even have an appointment scheduled 3 hours ago so how could I cancel then, I just scheduled it a few mins ago. She said that’s our policy in a extremely rude tone and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with Nathan and told him what happened and that I would be writing a complaint about this. Amber then took the phone and said write whatever you want, my manager would’ve done the same. Not once she apologized or spoke politely. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable.
Steven gives a good massage but I would never return here. Horrible office staff and was told I was required to opt into their texts messages after I drove all the way there. Did not have to do this last month and currently don’t have to at west village. Go to another location and make sure to change your membership to be based at another location. Rooms are loud and west village is much nicer for same cost.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I tried surprising my mother with a massage the day before school started (we both work as teachers) and the attendant, (who I will have to describe as a middle aged African American woman with short hair and green contacts, scheduled me on the wrong day and did not own up to her mistake. Let me begin from the start. I called to schedule our massages a day or two before I wanted to go in. First off, she placed me on hold for an extremely long time and was speaking to me with a nasty attitude. I stopped her mid sentence and asked her if she was okay or if she was having a bad day. I had to ask her this because that’s just how bad she was speaking to me (in a derogatory tone.) She had to have had me on hold for at least 15 minutes, she then confirmed my appointment for Sunday. Sunday rolls around and I show up on time, and there again the receptionist was. I tried to check in and she told me that I had scheduled for the wrong day. She then called her manager and even walked outside to have her conversation, essentially blaming me for showing up on the wrong day. WRONG! I know for a fact the day and time I scheduled for because I wasn’t available any other day. WORST LOCATION EVER. Not only did I lose two credits for my mom and I, I was also charged for a no show. I just called and was told I would get my credit back and hopefully my no show fee back, too. But guess what I won’t get back? My time! Thanks a lot for your terrible service.
Price for the cancellation was charged and it would be refunded within a few days.On my statement the $108 charge was refunded and there was a new charge for $168.With this being said it is obvious to me that I was charged the incorrect amount when checking out due to the specific number and tip amount.I was already really displeased with this place because there is a girl who Ive spoken with 2 times name Deja. Super rude .I am really disappointed that this lady who I wont name, who Ive delt with most of my time here couldnt be honest with me.I get 2 massages a month accumulating to 3.5 if not more hours worth of massages and she felt like she couldnt be transparent with me about the hiccup.Instead I was lied to to try to cover up a mistake that would have easily been understandable.I do not like this place anymore and I do not trust them.
Absolute wonderful staff. Front desk and therapists alike. I have used Melvin and Tyler for my massages and they are both fantastic! Amazing technique and very professional. If you go regularly the membership is 100% worth it. Definitely a thumbs up in my books!

I’m surprised some of the reviews are so negative. I had a good experience. My 50 minute massage with Dana was very relaxing and I did not feel pressured to sign up for the monthly membership (which seems to be some people’s main complaint). I will definitely be returning in the future.
Be careful, always check your credit card statement & your free massage balance. I had a $15 tip charged to my credit card & someone else was able to utilize an hour & a half worth of my free massages just b/c we had similar names. When I called to rectify the situation the assistant manager (Darrell or Derrick) was not pleasant & his customer service sucked! He insisted that I had been in for a massage 2 days ago even after I told him that was impossible b/c Ive been out of town for a week. After it was all said & done the manager called me back & admitted that his staff had made a mistake. With this admission came no offer of anything to me for my inconvenience. Just an oops, our bad. Im a creature of habit & Ive been going to this location for over 3 years. Needless to say I will be inquiring on how to get my credit off file with them & seeking out other locations in which to visit.
There was only one massage therapist that I liked, and her name was Neosha. She was truly wonderful, but I really didnt like any of the other therapist, and I felt like it was a waste of time and money when anyone else ever worked on me. I had a membership that ended up being a waste of money. They billed me for May (supposed to be my last month), but then they did not give me until the end of May to use the massage, and they dont even care nor did they try to make it right. They are a complete scam. I will never join another massage membership again.
I used to like this place, but it has become a total rip off. All prices have skyrocketed. My wife bought me gift a certificate recently based on the website advertised price of $83 for a 90 minute massage, after calling to make the appointment I was told it would be $143 even though my last massage there was over two years ago. False advertising and inflated prices make this an easy decision, there are dozens of small business massage therapists in our area so I plan to support them instead.

Amazing hot stone massage with Steve V. tonight. When I opened the door, I was greeted enthusiastically by all 3 people at the front desk. They recognized that I was an ex-member and asked why. I told them my reasons and there was no pressure to reenroll in a membership. Steve was prompt, listened to my areas of concern and extremely professional. He does an intense deep tissue with the stones. I will definitely be back. When I checked out, I was again asked why I was an ex-member, I reminded her and was again not pressured to reenroll. I highly recommend this Massage Envy location.
The massage I received was the worst I’ve ever experienced. My mother is an Esthetician and I’ve been around the spa industry my whole life. I asked for deep pressure in my, head, neck, back, shoulder and feet. I’m not sure why they make you put your preferences when booking online, then again when you check-in, THEN again in the massage room; all for my therapist to do his version of a full body. None of my knots in my back we’re worked out, ANY nail tech would give a better foot massage, there was more poking and pinching than anything and to top it off he did the chop hands...YES, the karate chop hands. My self care day from my stressful job was completely pointless.
There were four smiling associates that greeted me when I arrived. Convenient time, I got a 6p massage apt from a same day call. Tia did my massage and shes amazing. She was fantastic, I feel wonderful, and everyone was kind. Thank you for making my trip to Dallas so great!

Ive been an ME member for years, but just recently relocated to Dallas. I tried another location in town and had a terrible experience, but then booked an appointment at this location after explaining what happened... they took such great care of me - the lady who answered the phone, the staff who greeted me when I arrived, my therapist who truly listened to my needs, and the staff who checked me out when I left. I would encourage anyone to give this spot a try!
I called the Dallas location located on Greenville to schedule a facial because my daughter gifted me with a 100 dollar gift card to massage envy. The girl had the nerve to ask me for a credit card number to book the appointment I told her I could give her the gift card number and she said no. This makes no sense!!!
I loved the talent that works there, dont get me wrong but their membership is a scam. You have to join us for a complete year before they even allow you to cancel the membership there. I will NEVER again join up with another message parlor because of this. The only upside is, they allow you to freeze your account until you can afford to pay them. Dont join!!!!

This place is horrible! The management talk down to patrons who are experiencing an issue instead of helping resolve it and explain policies. My interaction with the assistant manager left me in tears and to the point of calling the owner and corporate. The massages are actually good, too bad management and associates cant match the the quality experience you get with the massages.

I was contemplating purchasing a membership, but wasn’t sure because it was my first time here - after dealing with the terribly rude women at the front, I will never return. This location has canceled on consecutive occasions 30 minutes prior to the appt citing employee health issues. I hope that they are providing a clean environment for their customers if it is really true that their therapists are consistently under the weather.
Will not go back. I had an ok massage nothing special but for the price I was paying I had better get something then what I got. Then I had to say No 4 times to their wellness program before the pushy lady Desiree finally realized I was not going to buy it.
I walked in off the streets looking for product. I just moved to Dallas so I was excited that I could buy PCA and Murad products close to my house, but I will NOT be returning here. I walked in and the front desk ladies didnt even that the courtesy to look up from their phones. When I told them I wasnt checking in they flat out ignored me and when I had a question about a product they told me if its not there, we dont have it. Rude!

Called and spoke with a very nice and helpful man at the reception desk. He kindly and quickly answered my questions and helped me out. This will WORLDS different from my Experiences with the West Village location. Booked an appointment here this afternoon- if its as good as the booking experience I will never go to the West Village location again!
I thoroughly enjoyed my massage with Tia! Very knowledgeable and empathetic as a therapist. And Eddie at front desk was friendly and prompt.
Bad experience here just like many other people. It is just their business model.They are only trying to sell you stuff and wont make a reservation with out a credit card number.I get that they are in business to make money (who isnt?) it just leaves you with a bad feeling just interacting with this business though because you feel like a number rather than a person.I will not go to this place until this changes.
Easily one of the worst businesses in the neighborhood to deal with. The massage membership is a scam that locks you into a terrible and medicore product. Dont get locked in for a year on something you are gonna regret

Dont ever get a message here after my massage the lady said do u want a membership i said no. And she made me sign this paper saying oh well fillout this form and think about it if u decided u want the membership call us n it will be ready if dont call us n let us know and so now there calling and harrassing me saying oh ur membrship is active when will u pay and when will u come in. Dont ever come here
Dishonest. They quoted me a discounted cost over the phone, then attempted to force me into a contract after my massage. I had to pay more than double. Dont go there ever.
Terrible experience! Will not come back at all. Didn’t even get a chance to get a massage. Chinese lady just rude! I’ll spend my money somewhere else.
DO NOT GO HERE. The worst managed place in Dallas. Ive been told they hire a group, keep them around for 6-9 months, then fire them saying they are not selling enough memberships. I cannot support a business (and worse....horrible managers) who pressures these girls to make sales then flat out fire them. They are poor excuses for leaders, managers, and even adults.
I dread calling this location due to the unhelpfulness of the front desk staff. It tarnishes the entire experience.
I think that for the price is okay because other spas are very expensive. They charge for a massage 100s. You just have to find the right massage therapist for you and stick with him or her.
Afterward they tell you their 60 minute massage is technically 50 minutes. Mine was 42. And not great.
Visiting from out of town and booked not knowing anyone. Tia was FABULOUS! I asked for deep pressure and she adjusted perfectly. Thank you!
They squeeze me in all the time without fail. They work with my schedule & are so convenient. They also do an excellent job.

I hated it , and the front desk workers are very rude when calling in the mornings . They try to implement certain policies but dont have any proof to show you when you ask for it. Never going back .

I had one massage as a gift from a friend, and it was so good I signed up for the monthly membership — and I drive 45 minutes here from northwest of the city, even though there’s several much closer Massage Envy’s. Every massage has been exceptional, perfectly tailored to my problem areas. He just cares a lot, and he’s also given me incredible ergonomic advice! He is in high demand, but well worth the wait!
