Ombu Salon Spa

I have been coming to Ombu for years and can’t speak highly enough of the amazing staff and services provided. Jess is the absolute BEST and the only person I trust with my brows! She is also just a delight to chat with and puts you at ease, even during a bikini wax - making it an enjoyable experience (what?! Is that even possible? Yep, it is!).

I recently booked a haircut at Ombu Salon. It was my first time visiting this salon and I will definitely be going back. Kellie was great! She really took her time, listened to me, and made suggestions. The salon itself was so bright and welcoming. I highly recommend!

I took my 14 year old daughter to Ombu to have her brows waxed and tinted for the first time. We saw Jess and she was absolutely amazing. My daughter was so comfortable and Jess made sure to talk through the entire process with her before starting. Her eyebrows are so gorgeous! Thank you so much Jess!

I’ve been to Ombu for a hair cut/color and a massage and both were phenomenal! Alleigh did an incredible job with my post-partum hair and making sure I was comfortable and prioritizing what would be best for my hair. Laurie was an outstanding massage therapist - she created a calm and serene environment and helped me relax with a very soothing massage that helped greatly with my sore muscles. I will definitely be a regular at Ombu!

I had the best experience at Ombu salon, was my first time cutting hair here in america and i was very sceptical and worried how my hair will look but Kelly made my experience amazing. Im in love with my haircut and i recomendet ombu salon 100%. The staff was very comunicative and Kelly understand very well what i wanted for my hair and made me feel very comfortable. This place is so relaxing! I always sign up for either a 60min or 90min facial and Heather always tailors it to exactly what my skin needs. The products feel so elegant and at the end my skin feels renewed lasting all through the next day even - like I dont want to even put on make up, I am sad to wash away any leftovers. I recommend Heather; she knows her products and she has a soft touch for facials and relaxing massages!

Jill does amazing work! I usually visit for brow tinting and shaping, and am always so happy I do. They always turn out looking natural and so professional cared for. Jill is also easy to work with, and for the occasional additional services I opt for, she is the best. A recent facial left my skin glowing and my whole body completely relaxed. Highly recommend!

I was given a gift card as a Christmas gift and booked a partial foil with Stephanie, who came recommended by the gift giver.I told Stephanie what color and look I wanted, desire to cover gray hair. When I was done, my hair color was exactly what I had envisioned. Stephanie really listened and we agreed it was my color!Ill go back to her in a heartbeat. Shes just terrific!

My styles took time to ask questions and fully understand what I was looking for and was easy to talk to throughout the whole appointment. My hair is curly and was cut dry then wet. Per my request not a ton of product was used.

I went to Ombu for a facial and haircut. Bella did an amazing job incorporating everything I asked for into the 1 hour facial! It was relaxing and my skin felt so much better afterwards. Sarah did a great haircut as well! Highly recommend this salon.

I have seen her multiple times for different styles and she continues to go above and beyond to make it a great experience! I highly recommend Ombu for any type of service and product suggestions.Stephanie has been cutting my hair for two years or more. I have curly, fine hair and her curly cuts are great! She cut my nephew’s hair this summer when he was visiting and he had me take pictures of him to show his stylist back home. My husband’s stylist moved away, so he’s now on the Stephanie train too. And one of our really good friends always has a sharp haircut. I asked him who he sees - you guessed it, Stephanie. Woot wooooot!I also must HIGHLY AND EXCITEDLY recommend the signature facial with Jill!!! She’s… well she’s just magic. I swear her hands are full of healing. Jill takes such good care of me when I see her monthly. She is kind, hilarious, warm, intelligent, honest and has helped me learn how to better support my skin. I have sensitive toddler- grumpy skin. It gets irritated by everything, or so it seems. Jill is carful and thoughtful about what she uses on me, which I appreciate. Most estheticians I’ve worked with either don’t remember how sensitive I am or use products they think should work but don’t. Not Jill!!! She’s The Skin Sorcerer. I have spoken.

I visited Ombu for the first time last week, looking for a new stylist. Sarah S. happened to have a last minute cancellation and I came in for a cut and partial foil. I have always preferred a facial as my go-to spa treatment and scheduled a facial for the first time with Jill. It was hands down the best facial I have ever had. Jill took so much time and care and provided not only high quality customer service but showed such skill as a talented esthetician. I will be back for sure! Thank you, Jill!

I’ve had haircuts by Alleigh twice now and am really happy to have found her and Ombu Salon. She has been working on fixing a terrible haircut I got 6 months ago at a different salon. She has done a great job and has been a lot of fun to talk to. The salon has a nice atmosphere and Bella at the desk is great too. Highly recommend!

I was/am SHOCKED when I was told the total for my visit....$235.00 with a 20% discount for my initial visit and 20% tip on the original total.I want to leave feeling like Im on top of the world for that much money! I left feeling ordinary.I would NEVER have agreed to $175.00 to color my hair!!The picture I showed Stephanie was much lighter and a true balayage; at my consult and the day of my visit, she told me it would be easy to do. I dont see a lot of light color in my hair... And I think its just from it being lighter when I arrived. What I got charged for would have been what the picture looks like. However, it looks like I got an overall color; not a “balayage plus color”! $$$$I did not come in with facial framing, without asking for it, Stephanie gave it to me. She also did not trim all of my bangs, so now I have a big chunk of hair that does not line up with any other section of hair.I wanted to leave with beach waves and she did not even ask how I wanted my hair styled. She turned the chair and I could not see what she was doing.I was overcharged and the owner refused to give me a partial refund when I emailed the salon with my list of concerns as a new client.

Comfortable, pretty luxe salon. Got a facial w/ a glycolic peel add-on. Jill was terrific. Looking forward to going back!Update (5/2024): I recently returned to get my monthly facials here with Bella! Worth the drive up from Green Lake. Its just the best.

I see Jess for my waxing needs and she is just the best! I’ve been going to her for several years. She’s great at what she does and I always leave our visits in a good mood because we have great conversations together. Highly recommend!

Owner Beth did me a solid when she paired me with Sarah W for my first visit to Ombu. The salon is chic, light, and relaxing. Sarah listened as I tried to describe what I wanted, and she totally got it. She did some initial cutting while my naturally curly hair was dry, and then shampooed, finished the cut, and styled it. I am thrilled with the results and the service. Highly recommend Sarah W :)

The people working here were very friendly and professional, but this is not the greatest place if you have an unconventional hair style. The stylist was very nice, but was afraid to go as short in areas as I wanted her too. I also found out after the cut that the simple way I usually style my hair would be an extra charge for her to do. When I got home and did it myself, I discovered areas where the hair had not been cut, or had not been cut to a uniform length. I tried to fix it myself with a pair of scissors, but finally wound up going to another salon and having the cut redone there.

Love my new Curly Cut from Sarah WUpdating my review to include Jackie, who just did my color this week. Shes a great listener, and was able to get the color just right, and enough dimension to really highlight my natural curls.

Sarah S is an amazingly talented stylist and easy to chat with for 2+ hours! Its always a little scary to switch salons and go to someone new, but so glad I did! Thank you, Sarah, for listening and picking up on my personal style -- very happy with the result! She did a Foilyage with gloss. The salon itself has a great vibe and sells a lot of the products I already buy including Éminence skincare line and Loma. Looking forward to trying other products they offer.

Both Heather & Alleigh were wonderful! I had the best brow wax ever with Heather and look forward to a facial next time! Alleigh did a beautiful job with highlighting (covering my grey) hair. Both are professional and kind people!

Lisa does a great job on my hair. I do wish the people at the reception desk would spend less time watching movies on their phone w/their airpods. Maybe they need to be given work to do by the owner?!?

I love the environment and ambiance at Ombu Salon. Ive been there twice for haircuts with Tiana, and I appreciate the time she takes to understand both the style Im looking for, as well as my relationship with my hair. Ive been very pleased with both styles!Further, as someone who spends a lot of time on workplace culture, I pay attention to how staff interact with one another, and I think its clear that the people Ive observed who work there seems to like and respect one another. This contributes to it being a relaxing place to come to for a bit of self-care.

I loved going to Ombu - my stylist Amanda was SO intentional with listening to what I wanted and making sure that my hair turned out right. She was actually more intentional than any other stylist Ive had, and she even made some great suggestions that improved my look. I loveee my new hair!Its also a HUGE plus that the salon uses organic + natural products. It felt a lot safer to put them on my hair than the usual highly toxic and intense products salons use. The atmosphere was also very clean and cute!Would definitely recommend! P.S. - the conditioning treatment was amazing! My hair has never been so soft and silky smooth. 👌🏻

Sarah W. cuts my short hair and I adore her! Not everyone knows how to cut short hair but she is a pro. She always attentively listens to what I’m wanting every appointment and checks in frequently to make sure I get exactly what I am envisioning. She is a true artist at razor cuts and always makes me feel comfortable and cared for. Can’t say enough about how great she is!

Was gifted a 60 minute facial by a friend who has a monthly membership, and was excited to try this place out. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the facility was clean and professional. My facial with Jill was absolutely amazing; she was able to see what my skin needed and customize services accordingly. The whole experience was so relaxing, I left with glowing skin and actually ended up signing up for the monthly membership myself! Have already recommended to friends, will continue to do so.

Ombu Salon + Spa is so wonderful. I loved their previous location, but I love the new location even more. I have been going there for years, for regular haircuts and massages, and have transitioned over time to add in curly cuts and facials. There is always a LONG time between my visits, but my experience is excellent every time, no matter who I see. Everyone is always on time and efficient. I love the website, and being able to book online. The front desk is always responsive, friendly, and professional. I love the products they use (especially Loma - local! and Éminence). I just booked a facial last week because Ive been having a terrible rashy breakout and couldnt get a dermatologist appointment for weeks. I saw Heather, and she was amazing. I was going to ask how long shed been an aesthetician, and then saw on her card that she is the spa manager, and then saw on the blog/newsletter that shed just finished her courses! She was so sweet and kind and professional, and the facial was so healing and relaxing. She chose and recommended perfect products, and gave me great advice, and my rashy breakout improved immediately and is continuing to improve with her recommendations. My most recent curly cut was with Sarah, and she was also so wonderful. Choose Ombu for excellent services and excellent self-care.

Did a 30min acne facial and I cant believe how good my skin looks after only 30mins! I will definitely make time for a 60min facial next time. The space is so clean and bright and the rooms are warm and cozy. I was running a little late, but Jill still took the time to ask me how I was doing and recognized that I was most happy to relax and have quiet time for myself while she worked. The extractions were a bit painful but so so worth it. Lots of street parking.

I had a great experience here, and am very happy with my full foils and styling from Sarah W. She took the time to really listen and ask questions about what I wanted, and discuss different options and talk those through. I was so impressed with her commitment to what I wanted. I felt fully heard. I also love that Sarah W. is so considerate and thoughtful -- no obligation to chat, she astutely identified that for many of us, this is one of the only times we get to ourselves, so we may want to read a book, zone out, etc. Shes the first stylist Ive ever had who said that, and as an introvert, I really appreciated the me time to read my book and enjoy being quiet.The salon itself is very nice. Beautiful, airy space, and I loved the living wall of plants. Everyone, employees and customers, were so nice. Everyone was masked. And, its funny to mention this, but the restroom! Its like a spa. ;-)Update after a 2nd visit: if I could make 1 suggestion, it would be to streamline the checkout process. Perhaps move to an electronic checkout, so customers could check out with their stylist at the station and not have to go through waiting in line to pay the cashier? Id also like to be able to do the gratuity silently and privately, as its uncomfortable to be asked verbally in front of everyone in the salon about a gratuity and how much. Checkout can be lengthy with only 1 cashier, who is dealing with payment + gratuity + scheduling the next appointments + answering the phones. Thanks for your consideration!

Although my color came out a lot darker than I had anticipated, I dont think it was Amandas fault. Im new at this.I have lots of experience with haircuts though. I have curly hair, and she had stated she isnt good at styling curly hair which I can agree with. And other than my bangs being trimmed too short the rest was great.My overall experience was good. I just need to learn to be more assertive when it come to stylists wanting to cut my hair. I knew better but I took a chance and wanted to treat myself.UPDATE: I am in love with the color. Its been a week. Still waiting for my bangs to grow out.

I came here for a haircut with Mary. She was very pleasant to work with and I will be back.

Came in for a treatment and to trim the ends. My hair is thin so the treatment I initially ordered (deep conditioning) seemed not the one that was needed, according to the hairdresser. She suggested a scalp treatment and I agreed.The treatment was just a scalp scrubbing followed by conditioning. Since my hair is thin, this treatment was too heavy and I left the salon with the same oily and dull looking hair. The only thing that changed was the trim end.I called the salon and they offered me a refund for the treatment. After paying $130 I received $40 back.The lesson I learned was to check the service prices prior booking an appointment: their website states that scalp treatment is $25, end trimming is $15. I was charged as for full haircut and for $40 for a treatment that does not exist on their website.Other than this experience, the salon looks clean and people working there are nice and trying to make you feel comfortable. Just for the prices they charge for the service would be nice to have more qualified staff that truly has knowledge for different type of hair.

I had a 90 minute facial from Jill, who took such great care of me and my skin. She had excellent techniques and recommended a peel. I took her up on it and I swear, afterwards my skin looked the best Ive seen it in years and years. I dont normally get facials because I often feel inflamed and greasy afterwards. Not today. I will definitely repeat this experience. I highly recommend.

I got a balayage by Tiana and I LOVE my hair. I had an idea in my mind and she was very practical and told me up front her advice. I was comfortable in the salon, everything was so clean and aesthetically pleasing. Also, Tiana always asked if I was doing okay which was so sweet. Im all about first impressions- this salon is gorgeous, the front desk gal was super friendly, and the stylist was right on time and wonderful. Great experience. I just wanted to get the dead ends off and the stylist made sure to show me exactly what she was going to do before she did it, which I very much appreciated. Ive tried 3 other salons in the Seattle area and none of them have felt like the right fit. Will be back, for sure. Highly recommend!

I haven’t had my hair cut in about 3 years. My hair was extremely long and had zero shape. Sara did a fantastic job. She cut off about 3” and gave me style while maintaining my long hair.The staff was very friendly and I’ve already booked my next appointment.

Alleigh did a fantastic job! I just moved to Edmonds area from Seattle and wanted a colorist/stylist closer to home. I was with my other gal for 5+ years so I was a little worried about finding someone new. Alleigh did a PERFECT job covering my gray roots and matching the color to my base. I love that she can color and cut! Yay!

I was in desperate need of a haircut since it had been over a year since my last cut. I’m new to the area so had to do some research to find someone who specialized in curly cuts. I was amazed to find a highly rated curl specialist just a few blocks away. I had to book an appointment about a month in advance but holy cow it was worth the wait! Minwon was great! She really listened to what I wanted, asked lots of questions about my current routine and gave me a ton of tips and tricks for better styling. She even sent me home with a curly hair guide with more helpful info. My hair looked GREAT when I left. My curls have life again. Minwon told me about the products she used in my hair and gave me some recommendations but did not pressure me into buying anything. Now it’s been almost a week and I have tested the cut by styling myself and I am so happy with the results!!Everyone working there was super friendly. COVID safety measures are in place. Overall enjoyable experience!

I was referred to Tiana by a friend and I absolutely loved the way she colored and styled my hair. I told her what my intent was and she did exactly what I wanted and made it work for my hair and coloring. Jordan at the front desk was friendly and super helpful. She recommended some great products to me and was very easy to talk to. I have found my new stylist!

Disappointed, I scheduled my appointment over the phone and received a confirmation text message. When I showed up for my appointment they told me that the stylist had forgotten to schedule me and I wasted the afternoon looking for another salon for the same day.

Ombu is wonderful, they are full service, clean, welcoming, friendly. My hair is thick and heavy and to keep it looking nice It has be be cut every 4 to 6 weeks. It takes a very talented stylist to cut it so that it stays looking good. Im so happy that I found Julee at Ombu.

Had the most amazing haircut with Mary - love the cute/meticulously clean salon too! She really listened to what I wanted and had a conversation to help me understand how we could achieve it. I will for sure be a regular! Also, whoever does the house plant care here.. 11/10 :)

I had my hair cut and colored by Tiana. She is awesome: talented, knowledgeable, and above honest. If something won’t work with my hair or your level of upkeep, she will let me know and I appreciate that so much. She had lots of tips and tricks for keeping hair healthy and styling.I’ve found my stylist. And best of all, she is funny and I felt like I was talking to a friend even though we had just met.

This was my first experience at Ombu Salon and Spa and I plan to go back! The salon is very clean and welcoming. They take the Covid-19 precautions very seriously and I felt very comfortable with that. I showed Mary a picture of how I would like to have my hair cut and she did exactly what I asked for. This was my first time at the Ombu Salon. I have searched high and low for a good person for a curly cut and color. Minwon was fabulous!! My hair hasnt looked this good in years. I also enjoyed the open, light and bright salon environment too. A refreshingly fabulous experience.

Extremely disappointing experience. I booked a full balayage, and brought a photo of the effect i was looking for, which was essentially dark gold highlights on my dark blonde hair. I explained that since my hair is fine and thin, I wanted to minimize damage. After consulting with the stylist, she went away to mix the color and returned with foils, telling me foils would work best. The end result was a total head of blond at least 4 shades lighter than what was in the photo I provided. In addition to looking total bleach blonde, my hair is more damaged than ever. Now I have to pay someone else to fix it. ;-( Ombre is a beautiful salon inside with a great vibe, but my experience with this stylist was the worst.

I really like the atmosphere of Ombu. I was very nervous to try again with coloring my hair after a few attempts that didnt go well. I decided to try Ombu after seeing reviews. I am so glad that I did! Tiana spent quite awhile discussing my vision with me and making sure we were on the same page. She was able to do EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I am so happy with the results, and will seriously not go to anyone else! I highly recommend this salon!!

A friend recommended I try Ombu for a facial. I was only going to go once because I had a 20% off coupon but after the first time I was hooked. Laura is a great esthetician. I always leave feeling totally pampered and my skin feels great. I love the Eminence line of skin care products that they carry. My skin is the best its ever been in my adult life.

Tiana did a fantastic job. I came in wanting a specific haircut, but she patiently walked me through my hair type to suggest another route. That’s exactly what some of us need from a hairstylist: Patient but firm guidance. She gave me advice for further hairstyles we could try in the months to come, and got me on the right shampoo/conditioner for my hair and scalp. I greatly appreciate her approach, and will be sticking with her as a result.

My first visit to Ombu was yesterday. I am a woman in her early 60s, with thinning hair, and no idea as to what I should do with my hair to bring it forward into an actual style. Mary listened to me, she had great ideas, and I walked out with Hair that not only looks good but is functional with my daily activities. I will be going back.

Stephanie is upbeat, efficient and makes sure she is giving me the cut I want. It is always a great cut and I leave feeling pampered! Also, the staff is upbeat and cheery. The salon is spotless and bright. Parking is easy.

I am a wheelchair user, and I would NOT recommend this salon to other wheelchair user’s. They DO NOT have a standard ramp that leads to the door of the salon. They have a broken elevator that I got stuck in. The elevator is off to the side of the salon, and the employees don’t know how to use it properly. I had a consultation with a hairstylist named Tiana at this salon. Do not book her! She is very rude, inconsiderate, and full of herself. She treated me very poorly. She didn’t cross off all the possibilities of how she would be able to accommodate my needs, and abilities in order to get the style, and cut I want. Was quick to suggest for me to go somewhere else. She also said to me, “If you aren’t vibing with me you can go to another hairstylist.” Thanks sis, I can tell you’re use to getting praised, which is the reason why you were so full of yourself. Better believe there are no praises here, not from this customer. Learn how to talk to wheelchair people, and treat them like human beings. Take this criticism, swallow your pride, and change.

I came in for a facial last year and signed up for the monthly membership.. Cynthia is just amazing , very professional and knows the exact treatment and product to use. I love the massages♥️Its a time I seriously look forward to each month ..

Amanda gave me a great haircut, walking me through what she was doing each step of the way. This is my second cut with Amanda and I will continue to book with her in the future. The salon is very clean, wonderfully decorated with all the amenities you could need.

Rhiannon was amazing! This was my first time at Ombu, and they now have a client. I basically said cut it and do what you want and I love how my hair turned out! Rhiannon now has a new client :-)

Lisa was excellent. She is very friendly and is a seasoned stylist with over 20 years of experience. Ombus natural and organic products are also less harsh on hair. Safe and professional salon. I will be back!

My dad and brother go here almost every other month. They always come back looking better than before. My dad loves the place and loves socializing with the woman that works there.Follow up question:How expensive is it to color the tips of your hair?

My experience was ok. I went in for an underarm wax, and 2 weeks later I went in for a facial, and told them about how the underarm hair was coming in in-grown and asked what options I had due to how it was waxed..the waxer is also the person who gave me the facial and didnt offer me qnything except to exfoliate. So Im kinda bummed she didnt offer a refund or a future wax or get all the ingrown hairs out. So I probably wont be back for an underarm wax

I love this little Edmonds Spa!! Laura is hands down the best esthetician I have even been to. She provides such a relaxing experience while pampering my skin. No pushy sales, just helpful recommendations. I love Laura so much I signed up for the monthly facial membership so I get 15% of all add-ons as well as products. Their product line, Eminence is amazing! Going to Ombu is the highlight of my week!!

I honestly love Ombu Salon so much, I’ve had the facial membership for about 8 months and it’s totally worth it. Jill is my main girl who does my facials but Cynthia is also wonderful. Their products they use have cleared my skin up and made it so radiant I don’t wear makeup anymore on my face. I look forward to my monthly facials, so relaxing and feels amazing and the product is actually GOLD and I stand by that.I used to be totally broken out and now my skin is clear! You also get a free perk everything month after your facial, you get 15% off of add ons like peels, micro needling, exc. Not only do the have facials but massages, eyelash extensions, a hair salon, and a full wall of amazing products for skin, hair, and other stuff. Products are all natural organic which I love!Definitely go here if you’re having skin troubles and are in the snohomish country or Edmonds areaYou won’t regret it!

I had a wonderful experience getting my hair cut with Kari. She was warm, professional, and took the time to ask questions to make sure I was happy with my cut. Ombu was a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Booked a facial wax with Jess and couldn’t of asked for a better experience. Thoroughly and smoothly waxed/plucked all the hairs she possibly could + the conversation was lovely. Highly recommend booking her!

I was over all very disappointed. I scheduled my daughter a haircut for the first day of school, and specifically called and requested that her hair be washed, cut and dried, as many kids haircuts dont typically include that. I also said that I would pay any additional charges, if it is not included. When we arrived, the hair stylist Stephanie, spent 10 minutes into out appointment time chatting and sweeping, then took my daughter back and started spraying her hair with water. When I inquired about the wash and drying, she stated she didnt have time. After she seated us late... Then she proceeded to cut her hair shorter than requested and without the requested layers. Very disappointed.

I have come to know and really appreciate Stephanie over the years as a person, not just a stylist that actually “gets” my hair. I get compliments and inquiries all the time about my hairstyle.

It’s a little spendy, but when you find the right stylist totally worth it! Amanda, you will be greatly missed 🙏😔

UPDATE: The owner of the salon, Beth, just called me to tell me they cancelled my upcoming appointment, because obviously I was not happy with my services and I did not go about it the right way. I reminded her I went about it the right way and gave her the respect of emailing her before posting anything online and when I did, she did NOTHING to try to fix their mistakes!!!😡 They did not offer to fix my bad haircut or actually give me the hair color that they charged me for...or give me a discount as I requested. In her email she stood behind Stephanie and her bad cut and over priced color for a service I didnt receive.She wished me luck and hung up on me. Super professional!

Lisa did a fabulous job highlighting, cutting and styling my hair. She listened to my concerns and paid attention to details. I LOVE my new look!

Lisa was wondering once you sit down to get your service but she was 30 minutes late to the appointment. That to me is very unprofessional and enough not to come back. I love the salon but the wait time is enough not not recommend to friends and family. That was unfortunate as I was hoping to come here more.

I had a lovely 90-min massage at Ombu. The space is lovely and comfortable, everyone was very kind and welcoming, and the massage was sublime. Ive already scheduled another massage!

I started going to Ombu 2 or so years ago and from the first visit to my most recent visit (today) it is always a pleasant experience. Nadina gives great facials and is very knowledgeable about what products to recommend for my skin. Elyssa works magic on my very fine, straight hair making it appear to have more volume and bounce, and the color always turns out great. Love Ombu!
