We dropped in for a beer and a burger. It was a fun, casual place. The service was excellent. Ariel gave great recommendations, was super friendly and fun. The food was delicious. I got the patty melt with fries and it was perfection. I will dream about those fries until the next time.

It took a really long time for us to get our food and there were only a few other people in the restaurant. When I did receive the teriyaki burger that I ordered, and had cheddar cheese on it (its supposed to have swiss cheese on it). I did not want to wait another half an hour plus so I ate it. It was not good. The onion rings were OK.

Rolled up on the BEST burger joint, on my way to the San Diego Zoo. I called to see if they had Bison Burgers & guess what: THEY DID 😋Oh my it was thee BEST I’ve EVER had so far & the way it came dressed w/those carmalized onions JUST the way I like’em: MMM MMM GOOD. The smallest places or as some ppl say: hole in the wall is ALWAYS delicious. The ambiance is just a lil small bar, that sell quick food to go with your drinks. The bar tender showed us SO MUCH LOVE, he was outstanding with his hospitality & GREAT service. They also have a juke box to play music.

Has anyone ever seen SpongeBob episode where he trying to enter the Salty Spitoon? Well, this is it! Amazing burger in Escondido! The first bite was so savory. Highly recommend the bison burger in medium rare. The staff were great, very friendly towards my wife and I. Will recommend.

Avoid this place! Incredibly rude. They wouldnt serve me and asked me to leave because of my dog, despite her being a service animal. Customers who saw the scene were appalled and said dont be sad, food is not that good anywaysWill report the establishment to the DFEH & DOJ.

Good Food. I love their fried zucchini sticks, I recently tried them, they were prepared and cooked by the owner. Now, that says a lot!! My husband and I love the food there. They also have HH from 3-6. TVs inside and outside, so you can watch the game and enjoy the weather. The bartender is the sweetest!! His attentiveness does not go unnoticed.

Fun place Ive been missing in my life for a while got to get back in here more often hows the game night. And when theyre slow do yourself a favor and talk to the chef he might make you something unique like you did for me. He made me this pulled pork bbq salad I told him it needs to go on the menu I hope it does

10 outta 10! We are visiting from Oklahoma and saw this place on a close by list on Google. Upon entrance, I thought we ended up at an adult bar, but it is totally family friendly! Definitely try Huggies specials of the day (his corn fritters and dipping sauce are heavenly!). We had the Cod, a Bison Burger, the Ortega Melt, and a Huggies Special Patty Melt. Darrell (sorry if spelled incorrect) was so good to us and the level of hospitality was amazing! The atmosphere is friendly and fun- very warm and welcoming. Every single plate was hot, fresh, and delicious! Lots of options on draft as well. We will absolutely come again! Our only regret was not being able to stay for the late night fun for a game of darts, beer pong, or for some karaoke songs! Go try this place! You will not be disappointed!

Perfect dive bar ambianc! Larry is in The kitchen on weekends and cannot be compared to anyone else that makes my Bison burger and onion rings! You can get a Bison burger at a bar and the grill is perfect seasoned! Ariel the bartender/ server is on it! Love this place!

Food and service are a huge and welcomed surprise. Had an amazing time eating there. It is a bar, but if you want great food and very attentive staff, this is the place.

We were staying at the motel next door and looking for a place to watch a hockey game. Cree was awesome and put it on for us on the patio. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! We had a great afternoon and would definitely stop in again if were back in the area.

BBQ burgers 🍔 was burnedFries were greasy and lumpy soggy! It too 45 minutes to 1 hr to get our food, so we decided to take out, otherwise I wouldve returned it!

This was an unexpected surprise!!! Burger was great, atmosphere was warm and friendly, the football game was on. All in all a good experience. I will be back again!

If you live in the area you should not go anywhere else for a burger. The staff are genuine and make you feel welcome.

I like dive bars - especially when then have friendly staff making really good burgers. The cheese burger I had wasnt cheap. But it was cooked exactly to my spec, had a robust toasted bun, and was 1/2 pound of delicious. Heaven with a beer! Next visit, Im trying their bison burger.

We tried a bit of everything. My son got his (fot birthday) Bison Burger and loved it, wife liked the fish and chips REAL well, daughter and I had ham/cheese sand and fried mozzarella sticks which were good. Jose our bartender/server was friendly and gave good service. I recommend for adults and teens.

Came in on a Wednesday night. Was out on a motorcycle ride, blowing off some steam and I was hungry and decided to try it out. Going by recommendations from the tender of the bar I grabbed the phenomenally great tasting (perhaps the best Ive ever had) burger melt. Super yum.I played some soft tip darts and was distracted even further when Wednesday Karaoke started. I got three songs in, Heart of Glass-Blondie, Wicked Game-Chris Isaak, and But Not Tonight-Depeche Mode. It was so much fun the people I met the girls were pretty I stayed way longer than I had originally planned

Was there today because we had a flat tire and the next business over recommended us. Excellent service, very welcoming staff Burgers and sandwiches where amazing. Definitely a must go to check out if you’re in the area or just passing through great atmosphere. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to San Diego CA.

I expected a fast food type restaurant, but found a bar with food instead. Needless to say, the bison burger, cooked medium was very tasty, and I spent the extra $ to get tots instead of fries...winning move.I took my order to go, but I would like to mention that the server/bar tender was very courteous and quite friendly.

I was impressed by the barkeep, casually engaged in conversation with other people sitting at the bar via the server, and the food has satisfied, both my pallet and my belly. It’s a good place to order takeout, or to have drinks and mingle with locals and tourists alike.Full salads are huge! I ordered a grilled chicken salad and it came with fresh made bacon. You don’t know there’s a difference until you taste fresh bacon. Salads shouldn’t be rushed, they should be ...constructed. Nice work!Good portions again when I had their Ortega Melt. Whole green chili and lots of roast beef. Excellent sauce.I had their basic BCC Burger (with the addition of a green chili). I asked for rare and received medium. This is where we drop a star. I specified a VERY RARE burger. It was delicious.Be advised there is a $2 charge for credit transactions (not mentioned my first two visits) and expect a wait, though I do say the time is not wasted and the food does not disappoint!

One of my favorite places. I come here 2x a week at least. Great food made to order. The burgers are outstanding, and the people are friendly. Mind you it isnt a high class atmosphere. The people here are down to earth and very relatable.

Just stopped by here and got the fish & chips. The food was excellent. The customer service here was absolutely amazing too. Cree and the cheif were very kind and helpful. I only live 4 minutes away so will definitely be coming here more often hopefully with some friends.

This isnt your average bar and grill. The food is so good, and there are so many options. The atmosphere is close, and everyone looks out for each other like family. You couldnt ask for a better bar and grill to visit...bring the kids too. The whole family is allowed til the kitchen closes.

I wound up here because I was meeting someone at the adult store next door and I was hungry and she was late.This is the perfect place for a tinder date because there are cheap motels on every side and an adult store in the same parking lot.This place is ran well, it’s not a chain or franchise with disgruntled employees and management. The owner is there on the daily making sure they keep their game tight. She was a pleasure to chat with. Her boyfriend was also somewhat nice but there was also an unmistakably hostile undertone to his conversation. It didn’t amount to anything so maybe I was just imaging things.I ordered a burger and it was delicious. My companion ordered a bison burger which was UNREAL WONDERFUL. I have been thinking about that delicious meat ever since. It’s been three weeks and I am thinking of going back just for that. I don’t know why more places don’t offer bison, it tastes so much better than beef and it’s leaner too. You just have to try this. It’s a game changer. You’ll never look at beef the same.They also have a drink they called a cactus cooler that didn’t taste like it had alcohol but I was assured it did.I was talking to the owner and she was considering getting a slot car track where customers could maybe rent a car and race to see who is the best at driving after a few.I just called to ask if they did indeed get their slot cars and they haven’t yet. I hope they do.

The staff is very attentive food is good beer prices are great and they always have a special on mixed drinks. The owners are awsome ... A family feel ...Thank You Guys keep it up love this place also has live music ...Fridays I think for sure if not SaturdaysPs would love a pool table ...

Order 2 sandwiches. Cost me $35 and took an hour to get our food. When we finally ate it, you could taste how old the frying oil was. Very disappointed.I will say they had very friendly customer service which earned them a star but no one was wearing masks or adhering to social distancing guidelines.

So myself and my family have been coming to BCC before Covid-19 and during Covid-19.The owner and bar tenders are great and the prices are great. You get outside and some inside service due to San Diego Covid 19 reactions.The awesome Bar Tenders are Creee, Darrell, and Evelyn.Evelyn being the owner as well.They have great food and booze and they are happy to serve you.You should try the Boomadare. Which is free if you can eat it in 30 mins. Its wonderful no matter.Come and check them out.

I have a legit medical service dog and was refused service. This is illegal! My service dog has been with me for years and has come in to many restaurants l around the country. We have never had issues until tonight. Never going back. The employee was incredibly rude and disrespectful

We went to this place after wine tasting, food was ok but it was hard to tell through all of the incoming F-BOMBS. More F___ then beers on the menu! A bar can regulate poor customer behaviour by serving less alcohol, I think that is your job?

This is not a “burger construction company” or self-respecting restaurant. This is the embodiment of a filthy, unprofessional, excuse-for-business dive bar. Asked for a couple of beers and was told after they were popped open that they’re “cash only” - no signs to indicate as such, no forewarning before the sale, but definitely a suggestion to use their ATM for a fee. Tables strewn about haphazardly, people who don’t work there walking behind the bar and serving themselves drinks, etc. I can’t imagine who would actually order food from here. Even if you are looking for a dive bar, there are plenty of dive bars far more worth your time and money than this place. Farcical that this place has tried to rebrand itself (shamelessly) as a “burger place” and not the third-rate dive bar it tries but fails to be.

I didnt realize it was a bar...I thought it was a burger joint like In-&-Out so I felt out of place drinking water and ordering a sandwich. The people at the bar were having a great time watching the football game & seemed to know each other well. Friendly group of guys. Friendly grill chef. Friendly barista. Not my scene tho. I likely wont be back.

Darrell and all the staff here and BCC are out standing. They have the BEST burgers in Southern California, and with the owners being from Texas they know a thing or 2 about using the grill. Im looking forward to getting my free burger with my rewards card.

Staff is great, food is great. Great place to stop in and visit for anyone that loves a good dive bar like me. Small and great to hang out, lots of tvs for sports.

The burger construction company is a diamond in the rough excellent surroundings outside patio dining great beer and the burgers are top notch hand formed patties with excellent meat cooked to Perfection with all the trimmings definitely recommend this place and they have entertainment or DJs in the evenings on weekends

Breakfast was awesome. Friendly service. We order 4 different breakfast and everyone was happy with the food. From dirty burger , country fried steak, omelets , etc. We are coming back .

Take your money elsewhere. Cash only. My burger was leaking and my fries were soggy. This is the epitome of a dive bar. The interior of this place was literally coming apart at the seams. I wont be returning and I will not recommend this to anybody I know

The service is so slow took forever To get a simple sandwich . The fries that came with the sandwich were terrible , the fries were burnt and really dark and shriveled I did not think fries could taste so bad. Really disappointed.

Very pleasant staff. The burger was well presented, however the fries were limp, overcooked and dripping with grease. Too bad.

They charged a $2 credit card fee and a $1 to go fee on top of the $15 hamburger. I have to say the hamburger was excellent. RIP-OFF!

My husband and I went into this place around 6 PM on August 24th 2024 and the employee that was working didn’t acknowledge any customers that were coming in only speaking to the people who are sitting at the bar would never step foot in this place again due to not being acknowledged, nor being felt welcomed also, we might have considered staying if she had even said one word to us which never did and we sat there for about 10 to 15 minutes. No tables were cleaned. There were food and drinks all over every single table. It looks completely disgusting.
