Vanessa my massage therapist was great and Jacile who assisted me checking in was as well. Now I received a text message stating that I had an unused credit this credit was transferred from another party. I contacted West 7th location to book massage and spoke to a woman named charity who confirmed my credit and said it would cover a 1-hour session in which I then made my appointment for today November 28th at 5:00 p.m.. service was fantastic but I then looked at my receipt and realized that I was charged the 135 for my hour appointment when I called to inquire about the charge the manager Jess told me that the credit was expired the lady that booked me was brand new in training and she should have told me that the credit was no good on top of which the credit was from the hulan location and I would have had to call them to even transfer the credit to that location in the first place. I told her that I understand what she is saying but I received a text message stating I had an unused credit and I understand that the employee was new but why would she confirm that I did have a credit and continue my booking if there is no credit in sight and that it was poor communication and training if she had messed up. Jess the manager then got an attitude and her voice saying well she is new and theres no refunds when I asked if I needed to speak to someone and call tomorrow Id be more than happy to. I understand its late and the end of the day but again the new employees actions of lying saying she saw my credit when there was no credit there is unfounded. If I was told the correct information during booking I wouldnt have booked and or chosen a different path. I once again asked her for her name and the manager refused to give me her last name in scoffed and said Im the only Jess here and when I asked for the girls name who booked me she barely wanted to give me that information as well and basically told me tough stuff she was new and in training so I needed to be understanding and the mistake wasnt theres to worry about or make right. This is incredibly poor management and communication to anyone coming into this location.
The Massage Envy in Tanglewood is much better than this one. I got there, and they seemed to have lost my boyfriends account. Next, they seemed to have botched the reservation for a couples massage and put us in separate rooms. Finally, upon checkout, they claim that we have 1 credit and try to sell my bf a membership. When we politely refuse, they claim the credit in my account expired, and we owe $120 for each massage unless we both want to renue the membership. The man working the front dest was spectacularly rude. In the future, Ill be taking my money to Hand & Stone.
I had a disappointing experience at Massage Envy. I rescheduled my appointment due to severe weather, and was assured by the representative that there would be no penalties. However, when I attended my rescheduled appointment, my credit had been used for the cancelled appointment contrary to policy.The manager, Jessica, was unhelpful and used malicious language towards me. I contacted the franchise owner who provided a refund. If you need to reschedule within 24 hours, be cautious and consider contacting the corporate office as store-level staff may not be able to handle such situations.
I have had several massages at Massage Envy, but this one was weird and disappointing. For starters, the therapist had a sound machine with lightning playing over the sound coming from the overhead speaker. It was annoying, with the two not complimenting each other in any way. The therapist spent about 30 minutes on my back, which was appreciated, but she barely touched my feet, arms, legs or neck. I think she went up and down each arm with a thumb, counted to 10 and moved on. And when she moved on, she plopped the blanket over the area... there were no soft or gradual movements whatsoever. At one point, I thought I was being punked because this was like no massage Id ever received. Then, when the massage was over, she said, I hope youre relaxed and by the time I looked up, she was out of the room. I dressed, then walked out and she was nowhere to be found -- usually the therapist is waiting in the hallway with water and ready to lead you to the front -- nope. I brought myself to the front and never saw her again. It was really odd, and I would never go back based on this experience. I did request for a manager to call me, but when she did, she offered no resolution to the horrible and overpaid massage, only we will have a talk with the therapist and maybe she was having a bad day.. (No credit or re-do offered.) So disappointing.*EDIT TO THE BUSINESS RESPONSE: The location stands by their reply of bad day with no change to our response or offer for refund/re-do. (They didnt even offer a discount for future service.) So no, the local locations office manager was ZERO help with customer service.

So many text messages sent a day. I cant decipher between my reminders or marketing text. They need options to receive marketing text vs. only appointment reminder text. When asked they say I have to opt out of receiving all text including my appointment reminders. Too much availability lessens the value of the appointment and sends a message that appointments are not being booked enough.
If you’re looking for a luxury day spa to relax for hours, this is not the place. But if you’re in need of a good, knowledgeable and effective masseuse, I strongly recommend Marquita. She is fantastic!!I’ve been to several different spas in Fort Worth, many of them being $200+, and no one has been as good as Marquita. Sure, the facility could use an upgrade with furniture and amenities, but that’s not why I come.
I’ve been to this location two times and both times the service was not good. However, this last appointment was the worst and my last. I can’t tell you the therapist name because she never introduced herself. She had terrible bedside manner, refused to adjust the pressure of the massage, just pulled t he leg pillow with no warning twice and was just overall not personable and didn’t provide a relaxing environment but that can be said for the waiting area as well. Very sterile and un-relaxing. When I told the front desk that I was not satisfied with my service all they said was “we’re sorry to hear that” but still asked me twice if I was going to leave gratuity which I declined. While I was leaving my therapist was bringing another gentleman back he asked her how her day was going and her response was “good as can be I guess” sounding very much like she hated the fact she was there. Least I know it wasn’t me, she had the same demeanor with him. Overall definitely could give you names of much better massage providers and would not recommend them.
This was the worst experience I’ve had as far as having a massage. The massage therapist I had was drinking her drink while she was massaging me. Not only was disturbed by the ice in her cup clicking as she picked it up but her phone kept going off during my session. So unprofessional. This was my first time trying to Massage Envy and it will be my last. I’ll continue to go to Spavia for my massages.
OMG, the front desk operations Jalicia and Rae were great! They asked questions made suggestions and made sure everyone enjoyed the experience. Nya was an awesome massage therapist she made sure I was comfortable and treated all of my needs. I will be back!
The staff here is amazing! The front desk people are always kind and helpful & Kristina is amazing! However, this place has smelt like mildew for months now. It is so pungent I can smell it through my mask. This cannot be healthy for patrons or the staff that works here. I understand awhile back there was some AC issues but I feel like 3+ months is enough time to get this issue under control. Over all the space just needs some TLC by the owner…I do hope this can be resolved soon.
Horrible customer service once you sign up. Its been impossible for me to cancel my membership while pregnant. They do not care if you just simply arent comfortable getting massages while pregnant. They will do nothing but suggest and remind you that they have prenatal massages, even if you have voiced several times that you just simply arent comfortable with getting them. Ive been told one thing by one person and another by another person. They have gone back and forth on what they will refund or not. One time (since I cant cancel, I just keep freezing my account which Im still not allowed to use for anything while frozen, even with accrued and paid for credits), they didnt do my freeze in time even though I had given them the paperwork on time and I was told that they wouldnt/cant refund. This time they told me to re-forward the email that was in the required time frame and they will refund. So, which is? You cant or arent allowed or just wont.I was even told to stop talking while trying to explain to someone what my issue was, since apparently their turn over rate is high and you wont ever speak to the same person. They do not CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Would give no stars if possible.
Seemed like each visit there was a issue. First being that I would arrive prior to my appointment and still would be cut on my time.Not including the undressing and dressing. The day I got the membership was the only time I received my heated table and rolled pillow for my legs during my appointments.The customer service is horrible when trying to get additional information about the contract. Jessica the manager, told me it was my fault that their email had changed prior to me returning my documents using the information given of the cancellation paperwork. Needless to say, no contacted me in regards to my cancellation. I asked for a verification email stating out conversation this morning and she hung up. Over all I would not suggest this location.
You would think paying for massage would help you relax NOT here !!!! Customer service upfront terrible from thinking they own the place and you is mind blowing. If you give same attitude back they will start saying “ you are being rude and hang the phone “ that’s all they can do. What’s sad only at Fort Worth location Hulen is where you want your money spent. You get customer service that does lie, hang up on you, that makes apt at your convenience and nice. Do not waste your time or money here at this location your stress level will go to the roof with these people here. Also how’s Jessica a manager blows my mind. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY MEMBERSHIP. I only gave it one star because it wouldnt allow me to give it zero stars. I signed up for a six month membership in 2017. I was told it would be canceled after the six months but apparently it was set up to auto draft even after the six months. Which I did not agree to. I tried to cancel the membership in November 2018 because I noticed they were still charging me. I was told my membership would be canceled, they would note my account, I would receive an email and a manager would be in touch. I was never contacted. With it being the holidays I completely forgot until February 2019. I called again because they did not cancel it. I told them I needed a refund because I was still being charged. I was told it would be canceled, they would note my account and a manager would give me a call. I was also told I had credits to use. Having faith that they run an ethical business, I assumed the membership would be canceled and the issue would be resolved. I called 3-4 times a day since this past Monday, April 22,2019. Finally on April 24, 2019 I was told that they fired the manager because I was not the only person this was happening to. I put my name on a list that they had already started and it was full all the way to the bottom. It was a list of people who wanted to cancel from this week.I spoke with Kristen, the area director, today. She told me it would be canceled. I would only receive a refund for April because I had signed a form agreeing there would have to be some sort of documentation of when I wanted to cancel. I told her not in any of the many conversations Ive had with the staff there did they tell me that. Should they have told me I would have went to the location or sent an email. When I spoke with her I talked to her with respect. I did not yell at her. I did not swear at her. As soon as I started to argue with her, with respect, she rudely interrupted me and told me I didnt need to give her attitude. It was the managers fault and not hers. I got so upset when she said that to me. I told her she should understand that Im the one whos frustrated with the situation. I do understand its not her fault but its her job as the area director to fix this. She then proceeded to tell me unless I have proof that I called she could not do anything. As soon as I said I have the phone logs of all the times I called she quickly said, Im sorry I can only refund April. I gave up at that point and I told her I need all of what she said in an email and I needed a copy of my membership contract. This was at 1:33 pm today and I still havent received an email. I do not recommend. This issue still has not been resolved because I have not received the email. Today is April 29, 2019 and still no email from Kristen, the area director.Another issue is that the review on here about the times is correct. They do say a 60 minute massage but most of the time they dont get you until the exact time of your appointment. Then ask you a few question and let you undress. They do stop between 7-8 minutes before your time is suppose to be over. You lose about 15 minutes of your massage. Its not worth it. Maybe try a different location. The only positive thing about this place is the massage ladies do a great job!
The receptionist at the front desk was great. Everyone was so sweet. I would definitely recommend coming to this location. The therapist is amazing!
Very professional. Very clean. Overall amazing. Mostly because of my therapist, however the nice young lady at the front desk added to the experience. My only complaint would be the guy that was there to relax but wouldnt shut up about how they messed up something at the front desk. Guess what guy....... relax! Great experience on the first visit. Ive been to other ME establishments that were nicer as far as the facility goes, but if its the message your concerned with then this is the place. I had Sierra for my therapist and she was amazing. My only advice would be to call ahead a day or two because they do get booked.
Poor customer service. Easy to schedule, but very difficult to cancel an appointment without incurring a fee. I scheduled and then tried to cancel an appointment within a five hour time frame, as I realized I had a schedule conflict, all before open of business. I was charged a cancellation fee because I had not given a cancellation notice before 24 hours of the appointment, even though the appointment had not been scheduled 24 hours in advance. I offered to reschedule the appointment and explained the schedule conflict but was told that I would still be charged for the first cancellation. I was told I would receive a call from the business manager before my card was charged, but instead was contacted by an employee who had no authority to properly deal with my situation. I also received 2 emails following my initial booking, neither of which stated the cancellation policy I was referred to over the phone. I understand why good faith policies are in place and I am not trying to short change a therapist, but sometimes life happens and as a first time customer to this location I was left with a bad feeling about this experience.
I went for a relaxing massage and they were excellent!
Customer service was average. My real complaint is with the massage received. While the therapist was responsive when I mentioned that pressure was a bit strong for my taste, I still woke up painfully sore in 2 specific areas on my back from his treatment. I understand that clients have a responsibility to share about their pressure experience, but I also know that an experienced therapist can gauge adequate pressure and both this guy’s techniques and pressure were off. He rubbed my blades raw. I didn’t love the massage in progress, but it’s today that I’m really disappointed and in pain. I won’t use that therapist again and I’m not sure I’ll return to this location.
If you find the right person you are not going to be disappointed in massage envy! Christina and Takeisha are great! If you call the day before, Christina is almost never available so you would have to book in advance if you’re able to. Depending on our work schedule I am unable schedule far in advance. They have professional staff members. Call ahead of time to book your massage so you don’t miss out on some amazing masseuses
The staff is really sweet and they always have open appointments at this location. The massage was heavenly. I will definitely be back soon!
My Massage Envy is in Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth. My therapist has been mine for over three years. She is much in demand so I wont leave her name. But I love these folks. I havent been to another ME cause I havent needed to. The down side is cost.. And the ME owners cannot get one of toilets fixed...slow on repairing it. Otherwise, I love this team.
Do not go to this Massage envy location. Went in for a 1 time $49 massage (that was not very good) and one month later started getting $59 / month charges on my credit card. They stole my credit card info and signed me up for a membership that I did not agree to.When I was in the store they asked if I was interested in a membership, I said no. And thought that was it. But my credit card started being charged. When I called to ask the store manager about it, she called me a liar and said I signed up for the membership. BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE!
I went there today after the first time since the pandemic started. I was very satisfied with their service and their attention to safety protocols. As the covid cases are rising in the area, this establishment is one of the few places that are still observing safety protocols such as masks, taking temperatures etc. One of the fews places I felt safe to enter. AC worked great and the place smelled very relaxing.
I booked an appointment for a facial only. I was charged for a microderm infusion. This service was not requested, nor performed. Local management and franchise ownership refused to adjust my credits. Great massages at this location, but has unethical business practices.
Yes I went there on Mother’s Day with a gift card, I was told it was in my daughter name I did ask if I need to call her the front desk said no. Then I got message and ask would I like to schedule another visit which I paid for an advance. After my 2nd visit they ask for money which I paid for a month ago I told them it was paid for already the supervisor stated it was my fault and I should have bring in a gift card which email to me which I in fact showed them. I will never go back them to try to take my money and act if I stole something from them. I call their corporate office as well.
The prices posted on their website are for MEMBERS ONLY. They do not post prices for non members at all, as far as I could find. I went in for my 60 minute massage yesterday thinking it would be $55, with a 20% tip. I didnt realize until that night that I was charged $114. I tried calling 3 times today and never picked up. I decided to walk in and asked why I was charged $114 and only then did they tell me the prices online are members only. Classic bait and switch.At the end of the day, the massage was definitely not worth $114. NEVER going to any Massage Envy locations ever again. I wont support these skeevy business practices.
The only reason this location got 1 star is because you cannot review a location and give them 0 stars. They have a 3 hour cancellation policy, upon which they will charge you for the massage. We, as customers must call and cancel 3 hours in advance. However, if they cancel on you, they do not have to call, they do not have to leave a voicemail, they do not have to do anything. Oh, and they take the liberty to lie about calling.Such pathetic customer service.And by the way, it took forever to get this appointment scheduled because they dont answer their phone and they dont return phone calls.
My wife goes to this location all the time. The masseusess are great. The only issue we ever had, she went in at 1100 for a 1 hour massage they started at 11:15 finished at 11:55. Only 40 minutes. Only happened one time, other than that the parking is a little difficult. But the actual massages are fantastic.
Careful with your appointments - they will cancel last minute and blame you for it. You will need to call them to verify all appointments. This has happened to me twice in the last two months. Even though the masseuses are great, I will be looking for another location because the front office staff are not reliable.
I had an unfortunate experience where measures were taken to “make it right” but in the end those measures were not communicated clearly. The manager was supposed to follow up with me but never did so despite my efforts to reach out a few times. I’m of the belief that clarity and communication go a long way to make things right, not merely taking actions that you think make it right. To completely avoid the customer and never follow up warranted this review.
Horrible business practices, get it writing they will not have you on recurring billing. Bought a Mothers Day Massage Package for my wife, paid for 3 months up front so that I would not be on recurring billing. Massage Envy Sales Associate assured me on the phone ensured me no recurring billing.When my wife came in for the gift they gave her a paper to sign. Thinking she was signing a liability form a confirmation for a 3 month package she signed it. Low and behold there was box checked saying Recurring Billing.They have been charging us for months now and said that they can not refund the amount and in fact said we lost our credits to get the massages we paid for. Talk to Assistant manager same response, then the manager and I visited, same response but we could get the massages but had to use them within 60 days. We didnt want the massages because my wife is now pregnant and not interested.Manager said he would have the district manager call. No call. Ive called back and left messages. No call back. Ignoring my calls now. I was looking into purchasing one of the franchises but after this experience I do not want to be apart of these business practices.
I have had many professional messages throughout my lifetime and this wasnt just the worst one Ive ever had, but the only one Ive ever been dissatisfied with. When you arrive they have you fill out all of your personal information on an iPad including a survey asking about your job, stress, and problem areas you want worked on. I selected my back on the problem areas because it irritates me sometimes and the therapist spent the ENTIRE one hour session on my back without ever touching my legs, arms, hands, or head. On top of that, they dont tell you that the rates shown online are for MEMBERS only so we ended up having to pay $80 out of pocket on top of our $110 gift card. DO NOT give your business to this franchise, there are plenty of better and more affordable options to choose from.
I wanted to try massage envy while I was in town. The products seem to be nice. Before I made my appointment I asked if they did extractions. I was informed they did. My facialist didnt do any extraction. Which was very disappointing. The whole reason I wanted to facial was to get rid of some blackheads and whitehead. While I was getting my facial she didnt even do a hand massage or shoulder massage. Which was very disappointing. When it was over I got up and I still had some of the mask product still on. I usually dont like leaving negative things but I was just so disappointed with my facial and experience. I would try somebody else because the front desk people were really polite. Just not worth, signing up for membership or coming back for a 100 dollar facial to give it another try.
Predatory practices. Do not sign up for membership! There is no end date for the contract and they will continue to charge you even if you cancel the membership. I had to cancel my debit card to get them to stop charging it, now they are calling daily because they cant get their payment. Stay far away from this company!
I signed up for a 6 month membership from January to June 2019. Massage Envy decided to unilaterally enroll me in another 6 month membership beginning in January 2020. I have tried, since January, to get them to stop charging my card. It is March and they are still doing it. Buyer beware.
Completely unsanitary, no A/C, the ceiling was falling in from moisture, all of the employees were exhausted and sweating, the smell of the carpets REAKED of mold and old water, I got turned away because there was always a problem and eventually I stopped coming. Very unprofessional and the entire place is falling apart and SO un-relaxing
The whole atmosphere of the place is relaxing and comfortable. Love the team work of when youre first welcomed in to the time your checking out.
Best to avoid this company, this location in particular. Basically, you will end up stuck in a contract. Avoid contracts like massage envy like the plague. I was young and foolish... The service, whether office admin or therapists can and do change with frequency. Youll be stuck in a contract with periods where the providers will not meet much less exceed expectations - but still you pay. Your credits stack as you hope for a new cycle or different location.
Great, but be careful when signing a year contract....most of their therapists dont stay around a year. As soon as mine finally understood my body, she was gone. Not M.E.s fault, but something to consider before signing...
I had a migraine for 5 days that no amount of rest or medicine could touch. I went to see Christmas and she worked dinner amazing magic. Within 24 hours my pain and pain and migraine were GONE!! ! Omg, shes amazing. Thank you Christmas!!
Was a nice and quiet place. Parking is limited up front so you will have to park where ever a spot is available. You may have to walk a little bit but there are alot of shops to distract that fact to shop at after your massage. Staff was very friendly. My massage overall went well. Just make sure and voice and communicate the areas you need worked on the most. Idk if there was an oil rub as opposed to the lotion. I would have preferred an oil. Also the bed warmer got a little too hot towards the end. So just make sure to tell them to turn that up or down to your comfort level.
Have had 3 different types of massage., including deep tissue, stretching and hot stone. All good, staff is nice and friendly. Ended up buying a year subscription so it cant be all that bad
I have been lied to from several different employees about my contract. I have proper Doctors Documentation that has been approved and yet they still continue to charge me and try to take payment it’s ridiculous I would not recommend them to anyone

My wife and I have been going there for awhile now and after finding the massage therapist that best suit our needs we love it. Nothing better than ending a hard week with an amazing massage!

I asked the gentleman not to pull on my neck becaise I have a pinched nerve and he dis anyway and the next two days I couldnt turn my head more than an inch either way and my back just stayed sore. Nothing he did helped but he dis reccomend that i have at least 5 more visits with him before he could fix anything....
The worst customer service! If I could give a ZERO, I would! If you are looking for a company that only wants your money and doesnt care about their customers...please use Massage Envy.
They have packages mom playing great service wonderful massages aromatherapy foot scrub and you can start her or at any time I highly recommend it
