We were there for local color and drinks. The place assuredly has personality. Sat at the bar, bartender attentive. From 1884, this saloon has had its place in history, including the outlaw Bat Masterson to actor Chuck Norris’ Walker Texas Ranger. If you’re in the Stockyards; you should definitely stop by!
This was a very lively bar. It had that old saloon feel to it, which was very cool.I ordered a whiskey well drink and it was nice and strong. The atmosphere was great. It was very spacious and it had somewhat dark lighting. There was also a pool table, which was pretty neat as well.Being that it was on a Sunday in which I visited, there wasnt live music. From the reviews that I read, live music is played here on some nights (I assume Fridays and Saturdays). The decor and the rodeo theme make this place well worth the visit.Overall, I would definitely return to have a couple of drinks and to enjoy the cool atmosphere.
A very original place, I just had to go in because of Walker Texas Ranger. It was filmed here. The place is great, a huge collection of hats of special personalities are all over the restaurant. There are pool tables, freshly tapped beer and always live music. Just like this time, not last time 3 years ago.Plus a huge collection of white elephants.... Perhaps the largest in the world...If youre there, its worth stopping by...
The first time I went I wasnt planning on drinking and I didnt so I was sober for my tenure. My next time, I plan on drinking and dancing on the dance floor and enjoying the atmosphere. The atmosphere was awesome regardless my sober visit and I can only imagine it would have been better had I been drinking. The hats on the wall and ceiling were cool and the memorabilia of the saloon through the ages with its special guests and everything was awesome as well. Id like to know more about this place the next time I go. Would be cool to see and hear about the history of this one in particular.
This place was a riot! The hats on the walls and ceilings made this place a unique saloon worth visiting. There was a small dancefloor that was used once in the hour that we were there. Although the hats were impressive, my favorite part was the guy performing live music. He was awesome! At one point he pulled a suggestion from the crowd and absolutely nailed it. The guy was a great entertainer who had everyone singing along and cheering. Enjoyed every minute we were here.
My wife and I had our first date here back in 2022, so we were there to recreate our date and celebrate our engagement. Great atmosphere, I even taught her how to two step!
Very friendly bartender. The vibes are so retro it’s insane. It’s vintage all around! The building itself needs some help. Ladies the bathrooms are in need of some help this is the only reason they are getting 3 ⭐️ the margaritas are super good the cowgirl shot is delicious 😋 highly recommend the cowgirl 🤠 shot!!!
Interesting, nice little bar. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and had a couple of beers while checking out the Stock Yard. They had a couple of guys on stage but difficult to hear due to volume being low. Whitney, the bartender, had a great personality and was super nice. They seemed to be a few locals, and they all knew each other, but these are types of places I like
We went there in the afternoon for lunch. Everyone there treats you like family. You will love this place. I used to come here in the evenings to listen to music and dance. Its been about 20 yrs since Ive been here. I loved it then and I love it now. We ordered hamburgers and fries that tasted great. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. You can look at the pictures of the bands and country stars whove played there, the many cowboy hats hanging overhead or check out the many, many white elephants displayed on the wall. This is 5 Star place!!
This is a classic, old school honky tonk bar! Even the band was playing Mona Lisa Lost Her Smile. Put this spot on your bucket list!
I did not order any food but did get drinks and watched people dance. This bar is full of history and is CDs bar on Walker Texas Ranger!
I walked into the bar thinking Id be stepping into my memories version of CDs bar in Walker Texas Ranger. I loved the show as a child and grew up watching it with my mom. It was one of the things we loved to do together. So it was a little disappointing that it really doesnt look like the set they used to film the televised bar. However, it was probably through the use of creative camera angles, that they were able to make the set look so drastically different. If youre like me and your reason for coming is to catch a glimpse of the bar for the sake of nostalgia. You will likely be disappointed by the sight of white elephants adorning the walls and the hats on the ceiling. However, Ive heard they have nice live entertainment on the weekends (I went on a weekday). So if thats your interest than it might be worth a visit.
Do not order onion rings, they are onion strings (wadded up ball of string) or a Bloody Mary. It was way to spicey, (looks nothing like picture) Celery and olive on skewer, is pretty standard right? They just plopped olive in glass. Ordered 2 hot dogs. Both were barely warm with crusty buns. Chili dog had minimal chili, more like chili spread. Both dogs were lame, fries were okay.Music was great, dont order dogs.
Great historical place. Fun dive bar with live music.
The bartenders charged $50 dollars to my card after they stated it “declined” then charged my friends card $70 (total balance $70). The bartenders then aggressively denied it once I went back (same day to figure it out). The bartender SARAH P was unprofessional, stating, “you’re not worth stealing money from” while aggressively trying to stare me down while I spoke to her manager about it. She said she makes much more than me as a bartender to prove her point, implying I was broke. It was just a weird interaction. Low key very strange. Most likely was drinking behind the bar. Probably shouldn’t do that unless you can handle your alc. I would avoid this place unless you live close by to dispute fake charges. And Sarah p we all know bartenders struggle. No shame in it. But you should probably be more kind and understanding at work. Might up your tips so you don’t feel the need to steal :)
The fun atmosphere (music, decor) more than make up for the basic beer & whiskey offerings. Very fun place to go!
White Elephant 🐘. What else can be said that hasnt been said since 1899. This place is a staple. Bar tenders are so sweet, the live music is just right and the ambiance is just old-west Texas. Such a blast to enjoy beers here at a place that an uncountable amount of cowboys have for well over a hundred years, just like they did. Great Texas history. Great place.
We enjoyed the music, service and all the hats from famous people. Drinks were a little pricey $10 for a Captain and coke. Back home in Wisconsin they are $3.75-$5.00. Had a great experience, though. Thank you!
Born and raised in FTW and I sadly must say, this bar has gone woke; sad another Fort Worth institution is now like any typical bar in California...lame
Great time. So much So I dont remember anything at all. Lol we got tooo hammered
Friendly environment and good live music. You can order food next door and they will bring it to you.
These guys kick us out cause some people that where well known customers. I will never go back again I tried to explain that we were at a table and they just came in and took over our table.
Texas Hits and a Miss, and Jamie Richards were Great!! Both Fantastic bands!!
The perfect place to visit for a drink in the stockyards area, the girls behind the bar were so lovely
Must see and visit.Try the local beerPlay the local game in the saloonListen original country music..It is a really unique original western saloon
This is an interesting combination of a locals bar and a well-known Fort Worth attraction. Its worth the cover at the weekend. Great atmosphere. Its a bar with some food, a good selection of beer, but its really about the music, the people, and the experience of a great Texas tradition. If you want an authentic Texas experience come by, if you want white glove big city service and gourmet food this isnt your place. We loved it. A very pleasant surprise.
Great place to go. Lots of history in this bar, some of the most famous outlaws use to hang out here! Music was great and so were the drinks!
Nice relaxing, low key place. They had live music which was phenomenal. The downside is we had to sit at a table full of abandoned and empty drinks. Nobody came to take our order so we are assuming you have to go to the bar that was stacked with people. Cute decorations of cowboy hats all over. Mightve been a nice hang out, but we didnt feel like dealing with the crowd.
Enjoyed the live music and dancing. Was a slow night but the Chix Dix kept the place hopping
Its a popular place and has lots of history. The dance floor is kinda small, but people make it work. Very crowded, hard to find seats after rodeolets out. There is only 1 bathroom stall literally for women and 1 for men so thats the worst. I enjoy going more during the week during the day around 5 tbh...
SO MUCH FUN!!! We were introduced to this saloon by new friends. And it was such a good experience. Especially for people who are visiting the stockyards and want the Western experience period everyone was very friendly and the ambience was just so fun with all the white elephant figurines and the cowboy hats. The music was great and there was a small dance floor for 2 stepping but of course I dont know how to do that so I just filmed and watched and had a good time. They had a very good variety of beverages from well to top shelf, and a drinks were reasonably priced. The bartenders were very fun and attentive, and had a heavy pour. I didnt eay anything there so no opinion on that. I didnt feel out of place at all here. I will definitely come back once it cools down as the stockyards is a great place to bar crawl in western duds. 🤠
We loved the space and experience. Bar tenders were more worried about guys alone and tips than serving us, but we worked past it. Not a good bedside manner for a couple from staff, but we met friends and had fun anyway. Our bill was wrong which is not suprising since girls at bar were focused on men alone, but they fixed it without issue. Cool venue and atmosphere!
Good atmosphere there is no doubt however I recommend you not shine your boots there, there is a black man named Ricky who is dishonest he charged me $15 dollars first I gave him $10 dollars and when I paid I paid him another beer I gave him $8 moreHe went and told the bar that I had not paid him and they no longer sold me because of his dishonesty. I do not recommend his service.
Fun atmospheric tavern in Fort Worth. Well decorated with the rodeo hats of many many cowboys, wood tables carved with years of names and hearts and places in a patchwork. And dont forgot the wall of white elephants, the namesake. Super fun place to stop in for drinks and often live music and dancing.
Excellent time here. I would recommend coming early to get a table if you have a group. The band was loud and great. The drinks arent too expensive and the atmosphere is great. Will definitely be back here again. The dance floor is small and it does get crowed but it was overall a blast.
Fun place, nice bar staff good music
We had such a great time! Listening to the band! With Security!
Didnt get to stay long but they had live music and dancing and that was surprising for the space there and the gimmick was seen fully. Im a fan of elephants first off and this place was right up that alley I stared at the walls for 20 mins lol. I didnt get to experience too much but the people seemed nice enough and personable. Maybe I can get a better idea after I officially move here. See ya again guys.
The young bartender lady lost it when I called her ma’am trying to get her attention. Her rude, condescending comments were completely out of hand and unnecessary. She mocked my name , cut me off after half a watered down gin and tonic (I wasn’t even drinking). Unmerited behavior . My entire family was present and shocked! We all left and will boycott your business. We took our group to Basement Bar…. I highly recommend them!
If i remember correctly, which is usually pretty good when i have to recall about the best time i ever had in the stockyards!the music and the people are just right and they even got authentic cowboy hats for sale hung up on the ceiling for a fair price..go check it out you will not regret it.
Second time coming here and we had a blast! The drinks, the music, and the staff were amazing. We love the intimate and cozy vibe. Tony & Krista were AMAZING!! They made us feel at home and we had some good laughs. I highly recommend to check out The White Elephant. I will be back for sure!
Everything was great....well except the Paloma drink on the chalkboard...blaaaah. But service was great and atmospheres great and we love this place and it has a lot of memories for us. We were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary! We got married and peaster Texas and stayed at the stockyard Hotel for our wedding night and remember very fondly the white elephant Saloon which might have been called something else then but I dont think so. While youre at the white elephant Saloon its worth a trip across the street just to walk in and check out the stockyard Hotel. Lots of Famous folk have stayed there and their ceiling fan system is unique. Fort Worth still has Dallas beat hands down in every category. I hope they dont lose that appeal🙏We didnt eat here. Went to Cattlemans and had two awesome Rose o Texas steaks- fabulous!!!
I’ve got 20 years hospitality experience I worked behind the bar for a decade in Vegas! and this was by far the worst and rudest service I’ve ever experienced! We came in weren’t greeted, weren’t talked to or served for over 20 mins we tried to get their attention and we were told that’s not how we get service we decided to leave and when we did after sitting patiently to be served was when we got the “a have a good night” in the most condescending way apparently if you’re not a man you won’t get serviced. No worries though we went next door to Cowboy Channel bar and got courteous and kind service! With no prejudice or attitude!
Rude service….. I’ll put it this way if you don’t like what you do or do not want to serve people than don’t work at a bar!!! Management is either the problem or management needs to fix the problem we were here on a vacation get away and they literally ruined the evening…… hopefully something changes for such a fun historic town/place
Super historic Stockyard bar. Live music and good beers. Great place to visit when in the Historic Cowtown.
While the White Elephant is known for being an iconic place to be, the bartenders who were merely an egg waiting for a find a sperm to find them when this place was founded need to get off their high horse and stop acting like they are doing everyone a favor by serving them. WE GET IT, it’s BUSY but that’s the job bro, ya don’t like it, leeeeeev-ahhhh, 🙄there are 15 others that will happily take your place.
Great place for live music and cold drinks. The Staff are great people. They know how to treat customers that are from out of town. They showed our group what Southern Hospitality was all about.
This is the best bar near the stockyards in my opinion! Theres always live music and good vibes!
Definitely a fun place to watch Bo Phillips band. Yes it was crowded but you could still get a beer pretty fast.
Good atmosphere and great live musicians.
The White Elephant Saloon in Stockyards has a long history of fun nights. Bar staff suhucks - lol! Terrible or really no service. This place is only in business bc of its location and decent live music. Just find a table and a seat and enjoy the music!
We went this past weekend and had a blast. It was packed!! But it wasnt over powering. Great age range of people there. Great times!!
Cool place. Besides it being historic it was nice. Food was good from the Love Shack. Our waitress was nice friendly and fast. Good music!! Im sure it would have been more crowded if not for covid but a good crowd. Pretty inexpensive for eating and drinking. Neat place!!
Foods bad but the bar is great!
If you want an authentic Texas bar, this is your place. Crowded, flowing beer, beautiful women, a dance floor, and loud live music. May well be worth 5 stars if they could keep the drunks from being stupid drunks. Even so, its a great place!
This is a great place, but when in Texas, we wanted country music. Although good, the live band was more rock than country. The ambiance is really cool and western.... and then, we found out that this was the filming for CDS BAR AND Grill from Walker, Texas Ranger!!!! Outstanding!!!
Being from Michigan, it was a stop I would encourage anyone to make!
Great bar! Live music is awesome, the drinks are good (strong enough that you dont feel like youre wasting money), and the girls wanna dance. All around a great classic stockyards experience.
Fun atmosphere, reasonable cover. But when I looked at my credit card charged, I was charged an additional $2 OVER my tip twice in a row. I had no knowledge or receipt matching what they charged.
Love the cowboy hats on the walls & ceilings! The hot dogs were super good and everything was reasonably priced. We did have an issue with the bartenders both charging us for items so we had to get a revised bill to eliminate the duplicate items. Overall fun bar!
Very nice, rustic country bar. Its a great place to go dancing
This place is a must see when you go to the stockyards period of the ceiling with all the hats. The band the night we went was great. Drink prices are OK and the fill is pretty good on the alcohol. Would definitely visit again
One of my favorite bars to take people from out of town or country. All of the Stockyards is great but this bar is one of my faves. It has history, literally on the walls. Live entertainment at night and you can order food from the Love Shack next door.I go there with my 73 year old mother to play shuffle board. Cool place and you really get the flavor of the Stockyards at this place.
Service was stretched thin but they still maintained a good attitude. I had the bloody mary which was pretty good and had a decent kick (very tabasco-y). Had live music; while we were there, a solo guitarist was playing songs with many upon request (mostly 70s/80s country).Bathrooms were cramped (two urinals side by side in a 3x3 room), but sort of expected in an older building.
Loved this place. Great drinks selection and bites (get the 6666 beer. Nice and malty). Great vibes and the hat story was cool too.
Terrible.... what can I tell you. One... service is understaffed and slow on a Saturday night. Two... menu was unimpressive and sloppy.... even for a bar. Three... I thought the live music might save the experience. WRONG... the acoustics and layout made it an unpleasant venue. I felt bad for the musicians and artist on stage. Please hit like if this helps you.
We had the rudest bartender. I wish I knew this blondes name, so I could share. The owner is missing the boat by continue her employment. We were the only table and the other 4 people were sitting at the bar. Neither bartender on duty came over to see what we would like offer a drink, menu or a friendly hello. I would not recommend spending your money there.
I love this place. Ive been going since 1987. Great staff and music. If youre true country then this place is home. It is the old style bar not one of these new hip hop wanna be country bars
Great bar. Great band the night we were there. Can order from the Love Shack. Greasy Great burgers. Excellent hotel across the street. Enjoy
We came in after seeing the longhorns and glad we did. The drinks were average price, but the food was where its at. Very cheap for bar food which is super interesting and really well done. The bar tender let us know that its owned by a famous chef along with the restaurant next door. The decor was what you would expect for a saloon with a pool table, lots of room and a stage for live music. The service was great as well
Neat place. I guess Im toocitified. I wanted blended ( slushed) drinks, but they dont do that here. Its cool, I get it. Not every place does that. We went on a Sunday night and they had some live music that was really, good. A bunch of us were trying to sing along.I would bet its pretty happenin on a Friday or Saturday night!Id at least check it out. No need to get all dressed up; just get your boots, jeans and cowboy hat on and youll fit right in.
We really, really loved the place! Great vibes, great live music every day of the week, open mics on Tuesdays, great quality musicians!! Food not the best and service a bit slow. But I’d come back for the ambiance and music!!
Been here a couple of times. Always meeting new friends. We even have the t-shirt.
The white woman attending the bar was really agressive.
One of the bartenders (long brown curly hair, short short denim shorts) needs a lesson or two on Texas hospitality. A very nasty attitude.
We had so much fun at this location. Dancing the night away.
They were the only place open but no regrets. People were nice, the food was pretty decent. Fries were fantastic. Loved the live music.
Love this bar. Always have so much fun here. Great music, great people, incredible fun. It’s not a trip to the Stockyards without stopping here.
Great place for a drink and to listen to live music. Went on a Tuesday night around 8. Was slow (but far from empty) and picked up after 9.
Great little bar! We had an awesome time here. Fair drink prices, delicious cocktails, and live music. What more could you ask for?
This is a great bar with live music on the weekends. On Sundays they have a couple of song writers play. That was a real treat. The bartenders are real nice and it always has a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
The music was surprisingly good. The crowd was like awesome and twilight zone had a baby which is a good thing. The bar staff was rude. Thats reason for the two stars other than that it was a unusual but fantastic experience at the white elephant.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE! A Monday night we went out to celebrate my friends 30th birthday and they cracked his ID in half and said it was fake. I asked for compensation for my friend where the girl bartender called me a b*^%# and told me to “Get the f*^# out”. Never have I been spoken to like that and been treated so badly by an establishment. I hail from the Midwest and that wasn’t my idea of “Southern Hospitality”. If 0 stars was an option…the NASTIEST treatment by the bartenders here. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Always the place for great live music and cold drinks in the stockyards.
Great fun, reasonably priced drinks for the stockyards. The only drawback is that the dance floor is small for the number of patrons.
Male bartender mid day with minimal customers was unpleasant and appeared bothered by a request for the store souvenir sticker. Poor customer service and I discourage other roadies from patronizing this establishment.
Had a solo guitarist, sound was loud at times but overall very enjoyable. Bartender seemed a bit scattered and short. Overall would recommend for the atmosphere and mixed drinks.
Live music, drinks, food, awesome service. Right in the middle of the stockyards, very cowboy looking place. We went on a Monday, place was slow, but we had a great time. Atmosphere was great.
Very old school bar. Guessing by the inside this place has been there a long time. Nothing special to report with this place, its very easy to forget this joint. One good thing was there was a fella selling BBQ right around the corner and that was not forgettable he had some good stuff! If your looking for a good bar near here just head to Billy Bobs!
Went out for my best friends bachelorette party. She has LA wallet and we didn’t know if they took it, well they don’t. It was frustrating but we left it at that. But then, this petty, miserable with himself, annoying peasant man that works there said “yeah yeah come back with your life together”. Let me tell y’all, the good lord really stopped me from jumping across that bar and smacking him. He marked a minor up after showing her ID, but wouldn’t let a grown woman in at all? Anyway I could be being dramatic but I’m not. White elephant? More like wrong elephant.
What is there to say bout this legendary Fort Worth name? Live music and fair drink prices. Walker Texas Ranger filmed some CDs bar scenes in there too.
The atmosphere was really neat. This is the best place to go if you want an authentic honkey tonk saloon. Theyve got cowboy hats over walls ceiling really scenery. Live music was amazing. It was a little crowded and noisy which is the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5.
Went there a few years ago. Bank withdrawal did not match the Receipt. Turns out they decided to add their own tip. Won’t be coming back, and I hope my bank is watching them like hawks now.
Another awesome place in the Stockyard, whats pretty sweet is there are cowboy hats pinned to the ceiling from all types of celebrities and important people! Plus they have great drinks!!
Its a bar. We needed a drink and got one here. It was hard to tell if the bartender was being quick with us or just direct. There werent many people in there so there was no rush. For a touristy area of Fort Worth, we didnt feel very welcome. Ill try somewhere else next time.
Liked our time here, good live music and people dancing we coulda hung out all night
This place really cool. Its an experience to have if your in the stockyards. The bar staff is cool and put off a good vibe. The prices are reasonable too and they make a pretty good drink.
While I was there for a private party, I enjoyed the drinks and food. Both were good and ensured i would return. Live music was great and i loved the decor of the bar. Was a great place for the party and i would likely not have been to the area otherwise.
We have been coming to the White Elephant for over 20 years. Will never go back. Waitress used unexceptionable language as she told us to get the**** out. The music was so loud we were trying to place an order with her, not yelling at her. Tried to call and report to management, they never answer phone. Staff very rude
Very cool bar. Walker Texas Ranger was filmed here. Many cool stories. Food and drinks were really good and great service.
The live music was amazing! The woman playing on the violin was an amazing singer and performer! It was so much fun.
Cool Western bar that is perfectly at home in the stockyards. Cocktails are a bit overpriced for being served in plastic cups. Usually have decent live music.
Just a fun experience eating here, the history and atmosphere! Its worth stopping in for a drink and bite to eat!
Typical bar atmosphere here. Good drinks at a fair price. Now you can order food from the burger joint next door, which is good and cheap. They should dust the place once a year or so, especially with as many tourists as they get in the place.
Nice place, cool history, thats about it. Bought a beer and a shot glass. The servers were vaguely aware i was there but didnt seem to care that much. The live music was great and the place as a whole is a fantastic venue for performers. The cowboy hat collection nailed to the ceiling and walls looks gross and weird. I get it, I really do but Ive got a hard time believing Luke Short would approve of the decor. All in all, just seems like a long standing iconic establishment thats gotten lazy and doesnt really know what its trying to be anymore, so they just play music and serve drinks. Thats really all I need out of a bar but the place really needs an overhaul before I drive across 2 states just to visit again. The locals seem to love it! They can have it.
Whitney was amazing. Margaritas were delicious! Great atmosphere. Good company. Older but lovely music
Great music. Shame on you for charging 10 dollars for a seltzer beverage. Not everyone drinks regular beer
Cheap Food comes from the fast food shack next door, ultra salty as expected, and beer selection is very small. Ambiance is okay, pretty dark and hats all over the ceiling. Staff is sweet and music fun!!
Nice atmosphere, great drinks...wish we could move between White Elephant and Love Shack with our cocktails....bNot allowed. A loud venue so do not recommend if you want to chat.
I stopped here twice on MON., 12-28-2020, once in the afternoon and again that evening. The atmosphere was great, plenty of cool factor. If you are in the Stockyards and want to have a beer, you should stop here,
Its a very popular dive but nothing really remarkable about it and probably overrated. Had live music when we were there. First duo was great while next duo was lame. Better bars on the street.
Great little joint with live music, cool historic atmosphere. Lots of food options and shops nearby as well.
The White Elephant is a must visit saloon! its just an experience that makes you want to return and enjoy again. Cold beer, great drinks, and you can even order food from the Love Shack. Great music and atmosphere! You may have to stand ir even go to the bar and order your own drink of choice but you really dont mind. You never know who youll meet but you will enjoy yourself! This place kinda takes you back in time. We love it and go everytime we have the chance!
It’s an older crowd dance floor is extra small. 5$ entry charge. No space for anything. Red river in Dallas is what I’m use to I’m just trying to find something closer that I like to Fort Worth.
Ox is a great bar tender! great atmosphere! You would be missing out if you didnt stop by .. also if you like Chuck Norris walker Texas ranger was filmed here
My personal favorite bar in Ft. Worth. When you think of Texas, you picture this place. They usually always have live music. Bar tenders are great.
This is a classic amongst classics. A must see for all stockyard visits. Theres a great lineup of Texas country artists that comes through weekly and craft beers/spirits to match.
If anyone ever meets this tall dark unbelievably handsome man who was White Elephants Bouncer back close to the very late 1970s up to maybe early 19 barely there] dont think we made it into the 80s.Well if his name is Ernie, & he remembers that little innocent Okie From Muskogee girl who lol dropped her car keys and kicked them wearing her nerves in her own light colored cowboy boots. all the way to the bar PLEASE tell him Mollie still thinks of him. I even remember the very short time we had together.Make sure please you tell Ernie he was always the one that got away. Love,Mollie.
Just what you want in a honky-tonk. Perfect service. Respectful staff saved our night out. You will like the history and atmosphere.
The white elephant Bar is as much Old Fort Worth LG brick streets are they have got a thousand hats on the ceiling my dads is one of those and mine is one of those they have beer and wine and liquor at reasonable prices especially for Fort Worth and theyll serve you with the pile if you want a place to go watch a Sunday afternoon Western band this is as good a place as any in Fort Worth and if youre a tourist you cant go wrong by stopping and having a drink cool off in a white elephant
Not only was the food disgusting cold greasy they added their own approx 25%tip (on a self serve counter you order your own food pick it up at the counter) bill to everyone in our party after we left. That’s criminal we will report them to the bank the law and visa.
Crowded, drinks were decent but inconsistent, seemed everyone else qualified for glassware except we received plastic cups. We opened a tap so we clearly weren’t going to wander with the drinks,
Paid $10 tonight to walk up to the bar asked for a sweet shot and the bartender told me no - said he doesnt drink sweet things so he doesnt know how to make sweet things! Ummm excuse me your supposed to be a bartender!! Wont be back! Keep your lousy $10!!
Ive played this place one time as a stop over on the way to Odessa. Great food .. chili is served at a special bar. Good country music loving crowd.
Very old - read the walls and all the old graffiti.
Heres the thing: Ill five star any place that Ill go back to again under the same circumstances. If you go to a bar, and you leave while thinking if they only had live music... or you want to head back to Chipotle, but only with cash unless they get hacked, then in those cases: four stars. This place does have live music, and as far as I know theyve never been hacked.
Everything i want from a burger at a bar in Fort Worth stockyards. Nice staff, nice atmosphere, hearty and satisfying burger and beer. Great price for the love burger.
The band was so fun. Loved the atmosphere. Perfect for a Fort Worth night out
Really cool place, you can feel the history AND see it when youre here. Hats all over the wall from various important people, pool tables, old photos, elephant ceramics and supposedly HAUNTED. Fun place to visit for a drink if youre in town.
Its a touristy bar but it dies have real locals and cowboys, you just gotta do it. Great live music venue and country dancing if you time it right. Fun for a few drinks
Great atmosphere, drinks and service with live music and dancing. Small town feel with pool and shuffleboard. Had a blast here and highly recommend.
Great place good live music helping support local musicians, good food drinks and owner is kind and friendly staff is as well. Live good times there. A must see place if new to town or visiting.
This bar is the best in Ft.. Worth & probably Texas. If you like cold beer great music & great burgers & chili. It is 100% realwestern atmosphere saloon with impeccable bartenders
Old West feel. Talk to the staff. 7 days a week live music. Has the old brass bar, a dance floor, pictures, wood floors, history looms, a history tour checkout the bathrooms are a hoot.
Good place to get out of the heat, have a drink and listen to live music.
What is sad is I’m a native Fort Worthian Comanche decent, and after 2 drinks you can be cut off after exposing a Iraq veteran FRAUD, that was busted already for being a Vietnam veteran, and told by the male bartender that works there who was wearing a light green shirt he will not serve you! So if youre a fake poser veteran no problem …. at the white elephant, while the REAL VETS, are basically told you won’t be served at white elephant! NOW since when has Ftw allowed veterans to be disrespected!
