Such a great time with my boys last night enjoying all these amazing dishes. Once upon a time in Mexico grenade is one of my absolute faves! The dragon honey wings were quickly devoured by my son...had him wishing he had ordered more. The sampler- they were out of the egg rolls but allowed a substitution of more cheese curds that were sooooo good. Lloyd behind the bar served up some great drinks! Highly recommend everyone trying the food and drinks from Atomic Johnnys. You always feel so welcomed there!

I gave it 3 1\2 stars for Poppy with her hair in all different colors of a rainbow, also the Bartender, also they were out of Miller lite draft and bottle, that is what my husband drinks...I drink Mich Ultra light unless Gold is sold, but mine was cold!! We wanted to shoot pool but their 1 pool table was in use and the music wasnt anything but loud!!! We had 1 round and moved on to take pics in Southside Bridge as the sun started to go down.

A fantastic atmosphere, a friendly staff that makes you feel like family, and delicious food makes this a must stop location while traveling through or spending a night out in downtown Gadsden. The entree pictured is their Once Upon A Time In Mexico grenade.The owner is super cute too ;)

Good beer, horrible food, and service was lacking. The woman working tonight was attentive, but the guy.. I could get about half an order in (or a wrong order put in), before hed walk to the register to enter it, as if he might forget the first word you spoke. The pickle chips taste like salt, thats it... the loaded fries I ordered were very small for $10..This place could draw a bigger crowd simply with better food.

This place has random entertainment, great food, the place is just decorated like no other Ive ever seen or experienced. Youve got to see this place!! 🤩

Came here for lunch and it was interesting. Service was good considering they only had 1 person for the front of house. I ordered wings but they were out, so I got chicken fingers instead. The order came out as a half order, because the kitchen didnt make enough. Ended up having to take the other half to go because we had already been there for 45 minutes. The chicken fingers were very good. Will try again.

This is a small bar, but a lot of fun. The street gets pretty crowded, but plenty of parking in the back.

Aleays have a fun time here. Music, pool table, drink, and food. Whatever you do, try the dragon sauce! Its outstanding!

Always an enjoyable experience every time I go. Bartenders are very attentive, nice, and fast. Food is always fresh and hot, not to mention very fast and delicious. They also have a wide selection to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. Atmosphere is very lively, especially on Saturdays when they have a live band playing. I highly recommend their Fuzzy Dreamsicle and Once Upon a Time in Mexico grenade. Atomic Johnny’s is my favorite and go to place when I wanna have a good time.

The food was decent and the beer was amazing. Sweet Waters 420 strain was off the chain good. Ive never had marijuana flavored beer before and I will definitely be back for more. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with our drink selections. The beer was a little pricey, but still good. Pool tables were fun with my girls. Nice little place.

Ive heard about this place, but never took the time to visit. Well today was my lucky day! I had the Atomic Burger and my date had the Ol Porky, neither of us can find anything to complain about!! We also ordered the Fresh Prince Grenade, fries covered in steak, onions, peppers, and cheese. Everything was amazing and I cant wait to go back to try more items off the menu!!*The staff was really nice and hardworking. This place is worth a visit!

My family and I have eaten here approx seven times already and that was before they even got their liquor license and to say the least not one single time has it yet to disappoint!!! Every visit seems to be better and better and only see it improving even more. Great atmosphere and the food is fantastic!! Will be returning soon and I’m 100% that I will not be disappointed once again. Two big thumbs up to the staff, owners, and who ever else is responsible for my suck amazing experiences thus far!!! Hats off to you guys.....

Walking into a “bar type” atmosphere You don’t expected to have such excellent food. automic Johnnys is the exception to that rule. From chicken wings to grenade fries! And a price point to fit any budget. johnny’s is the spot! Excellent service excellent food and ice cold beer. Great job guys

1st timer. Great food and service the cook came out to make sure I got it like I ordered. Awesome bartender, (Zack) very friendly, will listen to your problems while you drink or maybe shoot a game of pool. I enjoy the music during the day big variety. Tue night karaoke, and some jamming bands on the weekends. I feel right at home, Ill be back for sure!

Just moved to town and invited some of my out of town friends to go out. We were walking past atomic Johnny’s and heard great music and were instantly welcomed with open arms. Mike(the manager ) was so kind and checked on us several times to make sure we had what we needed and were taken care of. Meagan (the bartender) made sure we always had a great drink in our hands and was amazing. Donnell(security) made sure we were having a fun time and made us feel very safe and is so kind hearted. Chester( the cook) is an amazing cook and such a sweetheart. If you want a place to have fun and be able to be yourself , this is the place. I will definitely be going back and be bringing even more friends. Glad I made some new friends in town!!

Could be a really nice bar, drink was horrible. Including the 2nd .. they were out of every basic liquor. If you like pool take your own stick. Theres are all broke. As said could be a really nice place of thru actually tried to make it one. :(

Fantastic place, the fries are cut fresh from actual potatoes, the meat is of excellent quality, and the service was fast. Pricing is reasonable and the staff is very friendly, I would definitely suggest this place to anyone looking for a good meal in Gadsden. As long as you arent a stuck up yuppie who thinks youre going to Guy Fieris Vegas Kitchen or random people smoking on a public street I think you would love this place!

My wife and I walked in just before 2pm on New Years eve for lunch and the place was empty. We were told to have a seat, which we did. We ordered burgers and waited. What we didnt know was that they were closed in order to prepare for the New Years eve party. Even so, they treated us extremely well and assured us that we werent imposing.Long story short, we enjoyed our lunch and were served two of the best burgers weve had in quite some time. The quantity of fries rivals 5 Guys and the chili cheese fries were like crack. This is primarily a bar and even though we dont drink, we will definitely go back fitter the burger and chili cheese fries.

Great atmosphere, for day time, felt like my bartender was a family friend. (Chai) I cant wait to come back at night for trivia and live bands. And the fries are fresh potatoes cooked crispy just right. Thanks for a great time!

Went here after the Talladega race. After sitting ourselves and the bar tender not paying attention to us, my brother went up asked for a beer and a menu for food but tender said kitchen is closed on Sundays and walked away. No where online said they did not serve food on Sundays. We left and took our business elsewhere.

I have always had a great experience at Atomic Johnnys! They have a great selection of quality craft beers and the atmosphere is always enjoyable and uplifting. Shyanne and her team take great care of all of the customers

Dive bar, slow service.. Stopped in for lunch before realizing it was more bar than restraunt. Was expecting sports bar/restaurant like others around town (Jefferson, Logan, Applebees, Blackstone, etc) ordered burgers which took a while, food was good (just slow)... Place was dark and a bit dated. May be great place to party as a night scene, but definitely not a place to go on your lunch break for a quick bite.

Could be a cool place. Not a huge fan of the in bar menu not having the same options shown online. No burgers. Seemed like they went from a bar and grill to a bar with a grill they don’t use. Won’t be back not much to look forward to with one booth and one table outside of bar seating.

Awesome service. Nice, friendly atmosphere. Loved the fried pickles. The Mouse Trap was very good, tons of flavorful meat. The Nacho Libre was yummy and filling. We will be back.

Ate the nacho libre grenade fries and they were awesome. The live music was cool. The grateful dead mixed drinks were awesome. They also has pool tables. This is a really cool place to check out.

We came here on sunday august the 11th. My wife and i had been excited to try eating here ever since we saw the new sign a few weeks prior. The i side of the resteraunt is rather plain but iys homey and we really liked it. They had Bobs Burgers playing on one of the tvs. A nice mix of music playing on a high quality speaker that was at just the right volume. And whoever drew the characture on their chalk sign on the small stage needs a raise it was great and set up a great atmosphere. The front end staff where absolutely wonderful i regret not asking their names it was a young man and an incredibly nice blonde waitress. They made the visit and where among the nicest staff we have ever come across. Unfortunately there are a few reasons i didnt give them 5 stars. 1. While we where the first customers in another family came in shortly thereafter with 2 small children. The children where exceptionally loud and pretty much ran amok for a half hour or so until the resteraunt began to fill with patrons at which point what i would call a half hearted attempt to co trol them was made before they finally settled in for some food and an obnoxious face time call with what i assume where grandparents. While this is in no way the staffs fault patrons at another table implied that they may be the owners. If thats the case i would highly recommend they treat their business with more respect and their customers with more concern. 2. Said family came in after us. Ordered after us. But recieved their food much much sooner than we did. Call me a conspiracy theorist but that added to the suspicion that they may be some of the owners. 3. When we did get our food 2 orders of their specialty grenades it was cold. The food was cooked well. Everything was fully cooked and the flavors where good but it was cold. For 10 dollars a piece and an almost 45 minute wait while others get their food before me i should have hot food. I will note that they where not soggy from the sauces so i dont think they sat completed under a heat lamp i think the components of my and my wifes food sat unassembled for some time before being put together and sent out to us. The reasoning for that i will not speculate on. When i mentioned this to the waitress she went and spoke with an owner or manager and they did offer to remake the food or discount it. I declined. I really enjoy the design and crew of the resteraunt and look forward to trying drinks here when they have the liquor situation up and going. There is definite room for improvement but they did just open. Aside from these problems they do need better cups. The ones they had where small disposable styrafoam cups which held a very small ammount of liquid. They also need to scoot the tables a bit further from the pool tables which i feel are a very nice touch but it would be very easy in the current layout to get hit by another patron who is playing pool with a pool cue while lining up a shot. We will definitely be comming back in a week or 2 to try it again and see if they have worked out the kinks but i will stress that that is almost entirley due to how nice and welcoming the front end staff where.

Came in today and we had a good experience. The hamburgers were very good. My oldest daughter had the build your own grenade. I believe this spot has the potential to hang on in Gadsden for a long time.

It’s the only bar open in downtown Gadsden now. Had a few drinks they were great! Had a hard time getting them though me and my friend were skipped over multiple time a every bartender there. Not really sure why. The door man’s beard was amazing 🥰

Place is not overly crowded like most bars around downtown Gadsden but it is great to bring friends for a quick game of pool and a draft beer. They used to have Negra Modelo on tap but they no longer serve it. Hopefully they can bring it back. They always have live music on Fridays which is my preferred night to go. The bartenders are really courteous and will bring your drinks and food to you if youre at one of the tables dispersed around the bar or playing pool. Overall, the place is neither too crowded to where you cant get a drink, but not desolate as on Old Wild West canteen.

I had heard nothing but good things about this new place to eat but unfortunately it failed to meet those expectations. There was only one person waiting on the tables of which our table was very sticky and not big enough for 5 people. Smoke from the grill filled the entire restaurant. The owner or one of the employees kids were running around, knocking the balls off the pool table the entire time we were there and no one every told them to stop until we were leaving. We had our own grandchild with us so we are pretty tolerant of children but this was a little much. My hamburger was so small, it only covered half of my bun and the fries were limp. The food did taste good but wasn’t anything amazing. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt that they were having an off day and will try again before making my final decision to never return. Also, did not like the fact that the owner and 2 other men went out front and started smoking and we had to walk through the smoke to leave.

Free Pool!!!! Food is excellent and the staff seems to really care if youre happy. They were open late night on a Sunday. We ate, we drank and we played free pool. We had a wonderful time.

The food here is usually good but sometimes its really bad. Its a toss up sometimes. The atmosphere isnt my type of vibe but to each their own. Not a bad place but needs some improvement.

Love Atomic Johnny’s! Definitely a go to spot for a cold beer and good greasy bar food! Eddie is the best bartender on staff. Cowboy our local hero always makes it feel like home while at Atomics.

I Didnt eat only drank. They had a band Called Soul Karnival and they were so groovy! great spot for good live music.

Ordered on line to get there and find out they don’t do that any longer got home 15 min way to find out my order was wrong, 4 hamburgers for $55

Freezing!! My Naco Libra was just okay. The hamburger was almost black. Its a late night dive. We were the only ones there at 5 oclock and were the only ones when we left. Go late, have a few drinks and enjoy.

This man took the Atomic Johnnys Burger Challenge. He DEMOLISHED this burger and fries. Earned his place on the Wall of Fame he did...but the next day the proprietor claimed he had been given the wrong size of fries ergo his victory was invalid! Im shocked that they would do this! He ate everything they gave him and they refused his victory. Stole his glory. Lets start an Instagram campaign #GiveSimmonsTheBurgerVictory. Seriously guys...whats up with that??!?

Yoo tonight was my first time at a bar me and my husband was in Gadsden looking for something fun and we found this and Nick is the best bartender dude knew how to make a drink yall come check this place out!

Smoke filled hole in the wall. if thats your thing cool, but its dark, damp, dank, and staff was all vaping. not a good first impression and i would not recommend.

Weird town but great bar with FANTASTIC food! Can’t remember the bartender’s name but he had a long beard that was tied up. He was fantastic!
