My husband and I both cancelled our membership SAME DAY and for almost 2 years they have been charging us. Mistake on our end for not always checking but they said they only had 1 cancellation but STILL CHARGED FOR 2! We DID cancel same day. I did not think I would have a problem and don’t have my saved cancellation but I know I worked this out with Lisa the owner. Now she doesn’t want to give us money back!

I will never come back here ever again. These people made me feel so uncomfortable!! This male I forgot his name because I was so upset I cried. It was a birthday gift and the first thing he told me was “ we have to rush this because I have two more people behind you. I told him I came on time why would you have to rush this session and he tried to say I came 10 minutes late when I was legit there 15 minutes early and I showed him my receipt info with scheduled time and he said “ OH wrong customer” like what? How dare you ruin this experience for me. He was so aggressive as well and I should have just asked for a female employee I felt so uncomfortable. I just remembered he was a white male possibly in his 30s

Do not go to Massage Envy in Glastonbury. I purchased two side by side massages for my daughters as part of a specially planned sisters’ spa day Christmas gift. The whole point was for them to have mani/pedis, lunch, massages etc., together on the one day they are both in town. I was very clear about my needs when I booked the appointments. Massage Envy canceled and cannot provide another clinician. They offered one massage and one facial instead, which is not what I purchased. I very reasonably asked for my money back in order to book massages somewhere else that day and Massage Envy refused. Talk about terrible customer service! Merry Christmas to you too, Massage Envy!

The staff and owner are incompetent. Customer service is not a priority. I received a massage from my husband for my birthday in February. He scheduled the appointment online. There was an issue booking the appointment and he received an error the appointment did not go through. He called the next day to schedule the appointment and indicated he tried booking online, but received an error with the booking. He was told by the receptionist it was not in the system, so they went ahead and made my appointment over the phone. I went in for my massage two days later. The massage itself was great! Fast forward to March/April. I went to pay the credit card and realized there was a double charged for my massage. I called the store to resolve, and the receptionist and manager looked into the issue. They advised my husband made an appointment for himself and never showed up. My husband has never had a massage! I repeatedly informed staff and management the appointment was for me as a gift, and I had my massage. Staff again advised my husband never showed for his appointment. I tried to resolve with the manager and owner, to no avail. They refused to refund the second charge despite several calls. I put in a dispute for the second charge with my credit card and the charge was refunded. I will never go back to Glastonbury Massage Envy due to the terrible service experience!

I cancelled a year long contract!! I might of had like 3 massages done and the last one I had my grandaughter could of done a better job!! It sucked!! So I had like 7 sessions left and again they did not inform me that I had to use all 7 before the end of the month (with a couple weeks left)!! Its a rip off and when you call to schedule they never have availability!! I will never,never,ever go there again!!!

Amazing! Had my first massage ever and I loved it. I’ll be coming back once I’m in the area. Everyone was so nice. I was a bit worried reading the reviews but they were all so helpful and knowledgeable.

Massage was great! I had a gift card and was told it was good at any massage envy.. when I got to this location to use it I was told only a fraction of the gift card amount was able to be taken off of my bill. This is highly frustrating and I will be speaking to corporate about this because I feel like when I was told I could use this anywhere- that means anywhere. If I was told that this was only good at certain locations- I would have booked at that location.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! They like to SCAMPEOPLE FOR THEIR MONEYI made an appointment for my wife for mothers day gift over the phone and I spoke to 1 of the workers there for exactly 9mins and 28secs, they took my debit card info and made the appointment for 9am, so my wife gets there at 8:45 just like they instructed only to find out they booked the wrong appointment and told her to come back at 3pm, but we pick up our daughter at that time so we couldnt, then they said well we have to charge you a cancelation fee. And because I forgot to ask for a name of the person who attended me on the phone they said I never made an appointment and they have to charge for cancelation ??? Plus5 YRS AGO, my wife surprised me with this place and while we are getting a massage the person attending me says she ran out of cream and said she had to go find more... 15 mins later she comes back and the timer goes off, she sees the other person finished and decided that im done too.... so my wife got finished and i was just left for dead and she didnt even apologize for not finishing.

I just finished a yearlong membership having only used three massages. So, I canceled and had 60 days to use the rest of them. I just called and asked them to transfer one to my wife for mothers day and was told thats not possible. Cant transfer massages once a membership is canceled. System wont let them do it. Youd think that when I asked to cancel they would have disclosed this to a person who has 9 massages to use. Hey, would you like to transfer any before you cancel? You wont be able to do it afterwards . You know, the massages are good, but a store is only as good as its service during critical or challenging situations. They have failed to provide good service and I blame the owner because the representative put me on hold to ask her to make an exception. And exception to give away a massage I PAID for for mothers day. And they said no.when they could have easily said yes. Ill never sign up for another service with them again and neither will my wife.

Staff is always helpful and the therapists are fantastic. Its a quality pampering experience, if youre getting a massage or facial, and starts as soon as you walk in the door.It seems like there are some issues with the new computer system thats being used. At one point, my appointment didnt book at all. At another point, it booked at a time when the therapist was already booked. Both times, the staff was super helpful, but it seems like that new system may be causing issues.

First and foremost, if you ever have the misfortune to visit the GLASTONBURY location be aware the person who owns it is absolutely self-serving and lacks basic customer service skills as well the basic requirements for providing an environment where not only customers want to return but employees want to stay. Unfortunately, my first visit here had a very spunky front desk person who had such awesome professionalism and a great sales pitch I was convinced to purchase a membership (luckily, she detailed how I wouldn’t have to use it at this location, seems she was warning me). My first few visits were fine because she was still there for those visits, and she made the process smooth. She no longer works her (FIRST CLUE) Flash forward a month after my vacation when I return to enjoy my 2 saved up visits one for my mom and one for me. I made the appointment online and called the next day to check to make sure I had the 2 in case I didn’t and had to pay. I my misfortune I go a new front desk person (new to me) named Nancy who started off seeming helpful but had a bit of a condescending tone I ignored. It was when I asked her to check on my 2 visits when she called back telling me she didn’t know where I was getting that from but that’s not what she sees. She also claimed I used my visit with Tatiana at a different spa (must have been on my vacation out of the country). She preceded to have a conversation where she said if I knew her, I would know she meant nothing by it. I don’t know you nor should I to have a simple conversation where you are not disrespectful. I ask for a manager, none she says but someone will come in at 2. I went in no one spoke to a manger LINDA who was more concerned about not being bothered on her day off, no apology told me NANCY was new although NANCY claimed she knew what she was doing (laughable) she then told me I should get off the phone and start my session because I am losing time (while I figure why the two less than senseless people felt I used a service when I was not in the country at the time) I will never return to this location for nothing. JUST remember this location is banking on the fact that their workers are talented and people will return but you are only feeding the pockets of an inept “manager” spend your membership a location where you are bathed in unprofessionalism and a feeling of being robbed. Paid for the service btw and loss time on the massage. Don’t be fooled with any cooperate thought the are independently owned and have been sued for these membership dues problems.McKinney-Drobnis v. It was the worst massage of my life. I went there because my body and soul were in knots. The massage therapist was clumsy, loud and had no clue what he was doing. It was the first time I wanted the time to speed up during a massage because I couldn’t wait for it to be over. I left in tears with my soul and body still in pain. I stated I wanted to speak yo management and asked them to call me. I even emailed them with no response. I serves me right for not staying with small business.

The massages here were fine. The problem here is money grubbing management. Months after my contract expired they continued to hit my debit card and bill me for massages that never occurred. When I confronted them about this they told me that I had to come in their store and fill out paperwork and the money would not be refunded. Sign up for a subscription at your own risk. This place does not have its customers interests in mind.

I do work at the Glastonbury branch but I also am a client , so speaking from a client point of view, my therapist was spot on with my needs, communicated with me as to which massage style would help me best; front desk was courteous . Pricing is fair if you are a contract guest or a first time guest.. Would recommend as massage is a fantastic way to de-stress and deal with the day to day physical tension our bodies go through.

The staff is overall really great. The waiting room ladies are very helpful and friendly, as is the therapist, Jeffery who I saw for injuries.1 hour massage = 45 minute massage, in reality. Which is okay, I expected that.Its very basic and they are pushy with their membership services, but also extremely friendly.I would suggest it!

Massages were decent, but I had a very hard time booking one at the same time as my wife. The reason for the 1 star is trying to get out of your monthly membership. multiple phone calls, letters, and still charges on your credit card. Not worth the headache

Massage was good for 55 dollars. My expectations were low to begin with and my problem isnt actually with my session. Its with the fact that you are pushed into getting a membership. Spent an hour going back and forth saying I wasnt really comfortable with it, only to be told to just get it and cancel within 3 days. (Clearly, Im just a statistic and a number to report to corporate.) Then because it took them an hour to coerce me into getting one, I got stuck in traffic for another hour. (Relaxing, right?) Then had anxiety all night about how Im gonna cancel because I feel like I might be pushed to stay. Called, cancelled, gonna check in tomorrow to make sure they actually cancelled it. (Dont wanna be roped in for a year with no proof of cancellation or ability to cancel) Couldnt ever imagine going back. :/They should definitely train staff to make a connection in which trust is established. The entire thing made me uncomfortable.Take your money and get yourself a massage with private therapist. Seriously. Dont try to squeeze in for a day of relaxation at Massage Envy because youll get just what I got.

I booked a 90 minute appointment on a Tuesday for Saturday with Alvin. I showed up 15 minutes early and filled out the paperwork. Nice environment and the girl at the desk was nice as well. I was then shown the rest room and quiet waiting area. I was brought into the room about 11:35 AM Alvin came and collected me and we talked about what I needed. All good so far. The massage started with Alvin gently feeling my back, shoulder and neck muscles. I figured that he was finding the knots. After about 20 minutes and the gentle pressure had not changed, I told Alvin that I felt that he was not using enough pressure. Alvin said that he was warming up the muscles. I said OK. After about 20 more minutes, I told Alvin again that he was not using enough pressure, and he said that he was trying to use more pressure but that my muscles were undoing everything that he had done. I understood then that he was not going to listen to me. The massage ended 3 minutes to 1:00 PM. I went out to pay and the nice girl asked me how it went. I told her that the massage was underwhelming and explained that I told Alvin twice that he was not using enough pressure. She told me that at my next visit, that I could find another therapist that could meet my needs better. I AGAIN said that I had told Alvin twice that he was not using enough pressure. She started to repeat that at my next visit finding another therapist to meet my needs, blah, blah, blah… Needless to say, I will not return.

I had my first massage today. I am 36 weeks pregnant and Satomi was very professional and knew exactly what to do! I can only imagine what a regluar massage would be like. This felt like i had 6 hands on my at once...totally incredible! Also Jenn was amazing who gave me a beautiful facial. Both experiences were very relaxing and worthy! I went there with a gift certificate I received for my baby shower. And the front desk employees were very understanding and supportive that now is not the time for me to sign up for their membership. However, my gift certificate practically covered both of todays services so that was perfect for me! I CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOUR BUDGET ALLOWS!!!

I paid for a 90 minute massage and the only thing massaged were my calves. Did my back for about 30 seconds. 40 minutes on each calf and I dont understand why. Never again. Waste of money and time!

I went there a few years ago and had never had such a bad experience. 1st when you call they ask you what kind of service you want, I said deep tissue, they said sure! Once I got there (I was early) I filled out an intake form which asks what body parts would you like to us to focus on....let me just say that I got a sweedish massage, full boday and the therapist did not address my areas of concern. The massage was only 50 MINS! I was told it was for a full hour. At the check out they aaked me to rebook and I said no thanks, so they lady at desk very rudely said: no prob, but next time you come it will cost $100 hr. YUP definitely going back there NOT!

The massages arent very good. Theyre OK, but JUST OK. (Although, one was the worst I ever had). I believe the masseuses are relatively inexperienced. The old adage that one gets what one pays for rings very true with M.E. The massages are relatively inexpensive - theres a reason for that. And, some massueses in private offices dont accept gratuities as they consider themselves health professionals. At M.E., expect to be solicited for tips, so figure that into your overall cost equation.I signed up for a 6 month membership in January and was told my contract expires in August. Thats 7 months, not 6. If there wasnt this apparent contractual dispute, Id probably rate it 3 stars instead of 2.

Management is very rude and very unprofessional.. The massage therapist there are very nice and respectful. If you want to pay top dollar to be treated like dirt then that place is for you, otherwise STAY FAR AWAY FROM THAT COMPANY...

Horrible customer service, I just left this massage envy location, I went in to purchase a gift at 8:43 pm. I was told that I could not make my purchase because the register was already close, in that same sentence the staff member told me that they close at 9:30 pm to which I was confused.

Had a back issue and booked an appointment for the same day. They sent me a confirmation text that I had to enter the number to confirm which I did. I got to the massage center and they didnt have my appointment. They said they often have glitches with their online appointment. Offered to book later in the day but I couldnt do it.
