As Sunny Spa

I was there on vacation a couple of weeks ago. As Sunny Spa was able to get me in on a very short notice. It was absolutely the best massage I have received in years. The massage therapist was very knowledgeable in several types of massage including hot stone, a bit of Thai, deep tissue, lymphatic, and Swedish. I would highly recommend this place.That being said, this appeared to be a more local business and was therefore more informal in their reception area and general interaction than a franchise model. If you get massages infrequently or are new, they wont talk you through the process like a large business. They probably can, but it wasnt my experience. Youd have to ask them. So, in other words, not bad customer service, just different than youd expect at a large franchise.

Massage, especially when traveling, can be hit or miss. Sunny Spa was recommended by a friend, and my experience was definitely a hit!!My wife scheduled my 90 minute appointment a few weeks in advance and when I arrived I was greeted by name. That was a nice touch. There was no wait, and Amy immediately showed me to the massage room.Long story short, I like a very deep massage, & Amy gave the best deep tissue massage Ive ever had. She found and released the knots that months of working out & stress created, and I left feeling amazing.Ill definitely make another appointment next time were in the area! You should too, you wont regret it!

My husband and I had just got married and on a whim decided we wanted a couples massage— the only spa open later than 6pm... Sunny Spa— they got us in within an hour and a half and it was great, solid massage. I believe our masseuses were Peter and Lucy and they were awesome. We were so tired and didn’t have to say anything, it was a very comfortable environment/ambiance, would definitely go again. Thank you!

Hidden gem and reasonably priced! I had a fantastic 90min minute massage that incorporated hot stones, stretching, reflexology, and deep tissue. They also offer unique add ons and gave me a full bottle of water to go. I am very picky about massages and usually go to high end spas but this is the only place I will go from now on.

My partner and I got a couple’s deep tissue massage. The team was super nice and attentive. 10/10 would recommend and plan to visit next time we’re here!

Terrible experience. I had an appointment for a massage and when I arrived, they could not locate my appointment. They said ok and I went into the room. A man came in and said I actually don’t have an appointment and they can’t give me a massage. I showed the man the text conversation and confirmation I had earlier with a staff member. I left without a massage and it was a huge waste of time. Additionally, no one that works there speaks English so communication was extremely difficult. I would not recommend.

I would not recommend. They didn’t listen to what I wanted. Too hard of a massage for me and I asked for softer but didn’t listen or didn’t understand. And only did back. Guys, there are better spas on the island to go to. Very disappointed.

Buyer bewareI brought cash for both the massage and tip. The ladies acted confused and argued that I *needed* to tip 20% and that since I didnt have 20% for a tip I should put the tip on my card. I wish I had taken my cash tip back and left.

My husband and I had a couple deep tissue massage at the Sunny Spa and we both think that it was the best massage we have ever had! It was very thorough, really deep and so helpful. They treated our long-term knots so well that now it has been a couple weeks later and those knots in the muscles that we used to have aren’t bothering us any more! The service was excellent, as well as friendly and professional! We highly recommend the Sunny Spa! Thank you!

Wonderful experience! My husband and I came to start our 9th anniversary celebration. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. He even exclaimed that his massage was the best hed EVER had!! When we come back to Hilton Head, well be sure to visit Sunny Spa again!

Sunny Spa was an amazing experience for me.. I did the full body massage add the hot stone as well, and like I said before it was amazing.. The Stone treatment definitely helped out with my lower back pains, So yeah why wouldnt I go back..

Ive gone to the Hilton Head and Beaufort locations several times. Each time the facility was clean and my massage was excellent. They are very welcoming and professional. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed!

My experience at sunny spa was less than adequate as there were many complications from the payment to the end of the massage. The main problem was hygiene as it was less than adequate. Their is no sink in the massage room, and I was being touched frommy feet directly towers my face. There is also an 7 dollar fee for using cards so I ended up paying cash. I even still left a tip in which I was very rudely told by a worker that it was not enough. I would not recommend this place as also my simple massage was $138.

An amazing experience. Angela is great, she really knows how to make the body feel completely recooperared. I totally recommend this Spa, and I guarantee you will feel the same.PS. The foot reflexology is a game changing experience. Feet will feel nice and loose).

Sunny Spa is wonderful! A perfect gift for myself and for my son. Upon exiting our separate deep tissue massages we both expressed feeling amazing. It was relaxing while working out our tension and knots. Calm music throughout set a perfect tone for the experience. Next vacation will definitely an include Sunny Spa massage! Andrea

We just arrived on the Island after a 2-day drive from the Northside of Chicago and were looking for a way to shake it off and jump start our HH vacation. My Sister, daughter and I all got amazing foot massages, and were able to just relax in their Clean, professional, and amazing Spa atmosphere. If we could give it more than 5 stars we would!!!

A small business with large talent. I thought the 90 minute deep tissue/hot stone combo was a great value. My therapist was extremely well trained and responsive. She was intuitive in what was needed. I get a lot of massages and she was one of the best. She spent a great deal of time on areas that were tight and full of knots. This deep tissue isn’t for the faint hearted. It was therapeutic. Old aches and new soreness melted away with the precision and persistence of each firm stroke. I walked out of Sunny Spa with better posture and feeling 5 years younger. Would absolutely go again!!

I had an amazing experience at Sunny Spa. She hit all the right spots in a 90 min deep tissue massage. One of the better massages Ive had and Ive been to high end spas around the country. I got an appointment on short notice while on vacation.

Worse massage I’ve ever had. The therapist was extremely rough and even hit me in the head a couple of times. She didn’t seem to know what she was doing at all. She pushed my arms aggressively anytime they needed to be moved to massage in certain areas. I had to stop her twice and ask for the manager to express my concerns. That only helped a little. Overall, I would not recommend. I will never come back to this place. Waste of money!

Up to today I have always had the best deep issue with hot stone massage on my cruises although the young lady, Eline at Sunnys Spa totally rocked it. If I could go every day I would, she was by far better than any other massage therapist I have gone to and the price is good and even better if you become a member. Thank you Sunny Spa and will schedule my next appointment soon.

We came here recently and the massage was good. You will have to speak up and let your masseuse know if the pressure is too much or too little though. Massaging with your elbows is very uncomfortable. I wish my feet were included in the massage for the ridiculous amount i paid. I wish this place knew what essential diffused oils are and it would be nice if they played some earthy sounds like running streams, rain forest or just rain even. What I didnt care for was the surprise pricing that the manager clearly refused for us to take a picture of. Get ready to get charged an extra $10 just for using your credit card here and they have a sign on the front desk where you are required to leave a minimum of a 20% tip. Entitled much?????

Greeted warmly, vey relaxing office and so kind. Had a 90 min massage and it the best massage ever had. Made sure they focused on your needs. Had a private room with very relaxing music I have had lower back pain for years and in one 90 massage it’s gone. I did lots of Research and by far this is the best value and well worth Getting a massage.

Absolutely amazing experience with Angela and Jimmy! We booked the 90 minute hot stone couples massage and wow! Best massage I have had and incredible service. I highly recommend checking out their spa! Very friendly staff, extremely courteous and professional. I will be sure to come back here again to try their other services as they offer many different types of massage.Perfect for a quick relaxing pick me up or a full massage. I had terrible knots in my neck and shoulders that were giving me headaches and after the massage, I felt 1000x better. I had a deep tissue massage with hot stones and it was amazing! Jimmy was my massage therapist and he did an outstanding job. I was in knots after vacationing on the beach all week and the long drive from Ohio. I feel so much better! Very relaxing atmosphere, extremely friendly as well. Definitely recommend! You wont be disappointed!

My husband and I had a couple’s massage. It was Ah-mazing! He had a sport’s massage whereas I had a relaxation massage. I totally recommend this place! Will be going again when we visit Hilton Head Island.

Such an amazing massage! It was so relaxing and I felt so refreshed after! My boyfriend and I loved it so much we went twice in one day! Both of their businesses are very clean! If you want a good massage for a reasonable price go here!!

I visited this spa from out of town and my experience was ok. I feel the company needs to do better with communicating to their customers. I booked over the phone and received a text confirmation of my appointment. On the day of my appointment I arrived 10min early to the location on maps and their website. After I approached the entrance I was informed that I needed to go to a different address. I didn’t mind just wish I had known sooner. Then when I reached the second location I was asked to pay for my massage beforehand and I was asked if I had cash. After letting the guy know I didn’t have cash he proceeded to charge me an extra $5 for using a card. Most places may have a small processing fee but not $5 so that caught me off guard. I’m also used to paying after services have been received but went ahead and paid since I wasn’t familiar with this spa’s practices.I thought I would be in a private room where I could remove clothing for the massage but instead I was laid on a massage table in an open area with sunlight shining through the front window and outsiders walking by looking in. My clothes remained on the entire time and a towel was placed on my back as well which made the massage uncomfortable. The service I purchased said hot stones and essential outlet no stones were placed on my back just 1 stone rubbed on my feet for a few seconds. This is not a place I would return to.

This was the best massage I have ever had. I never had anything like it before! I left sore, but it was amazing. The GPS to the place was off a little, but that is not their fault. They gave us free hot stones, which were a little too hot on my back, but he made sure I was comfortable and applied less pressure. Overall, I do not regret it!

I was on vacation & decided to look for a reflexology foot massage to help with some pain Ive been having when I stumbled across this place. I ended up with a 60 min body & 30 minute foot massage. It was amazing! Its been 24 hours and I feel better than I have in a long time. The only feedback I would give them is to keep it a little cooler in the rooms (maybe a fan) and use a top sheet instead of towel. Other than that I loved everything!!!

Excellent price, service, magic hands. Clean and comfortable, would suggest to anybody. I asked her to concentrate on my lower back and legs and she did an amazing job. Wow what an incredible massage! Probably one of the best I’ve ever had. My masseuse applied the perfect pressure level and hit all the right spots. My wife really enjoyed hers as well. Very reasonably priced at $170 + tip for a 60 minute couples massage. Would definitely recommend for a wonderful massage experience on Hilton Head Island!

This was the most amazing massage I’ve ever received. I went in in horrible pain (thank god I they fit me right in) and I walked out feeling 100%. Their spa is my new go to anytime I’m in pain or need to relax. This place is the BEST!!!!!!And spend the money for the Chinese medicated massage oil, it’s a game changer!

This was honestly the best massage I have ever had!!! She had perfect pressure and worked on each area as needed. My upper back was very tight and now feels great!!

My Lady and I scheduled and had a 60 min couples massage. She got a Swedish massage and I had the Deep Tissue massage. OMG… amazing! Hot stones and all. I came in with tight muscles and left feeling like butter. Sunny spa has friendly courteous staff and is especially clean. Masseuse were a mask the whole time. I definitely recommend it and will be back.

Worst massage in my life .I am a massage therapist. Sunny spa , I do not think they change sheets with each customer and sanitize. Also my therapist left the room four times, during a 1 hour massage…totally unsatisfactory

Booked 90 min Massage deal not knowing what to expect. What a pleasant surprise. Best massage I’ve had in years. Back and neck were really tight, she did marvelous job, attention to all the areas and didn’t rush. Highly recommend. I’ll be back for sure.

Discovered Sunny Spa on Groupon and booked an appointment which was super easy online. I arrived too early but because there was not an appointment before me I was taken back right away. Wow, the masseur was so strong and zeroed in on my trouble spots. I like firm pressure and this was one of the best massages Ive ever had! On my way out I was in such a haze I completely forgot to leave a gratuity but thankfully I was gently reminded and promptly returned to leave the gratuity, which I put on my credit card.

Absolutely Awesome!!! My first ever, took my beautiful bride there for a couples massage. Service was outstanding supremely relaxing! Spa was booked at the resort we were staying at nothing available! They put us in right away!! Well worth the trip, booked services again for this week!!

AMAZING MASSAGE AND BODY WORK !!! Been getting massages for over 40 years and in 2 sessions (90 minutes) the therapist was able to relieve my Significant low back pain making my own therapist in Charlotte pale in comparison. If you want some real body work and an amazing full body massage, this humble place is for you. Also for HH you can’t beat the price for what they offer. If you want a very manicured over priced experience with marginal pain relief we’ll try on of the other places on HH but this is the place for real body work and therapy !!! So we booked massages on Groupon with a sunny Spa. The price at the location is the same so there is no deal! My massage was not 45 mins as booked. It was maybe a straight 20 mins uninterrupted. The owner needs help as they were not staffed correctly for there to be massages booked at the same times or back to back . She was whispering and talking over me in her language while giving my massage.. I assume to her employee to come and start the person accompanying me. We laid face down for at least 9-10 mins before the massage started. There was a slight language barrier .. But we communicated our disappointment and asked that our husbands have female therapist for their appointments the next day .. We requested females only as a reminder. When the first male customer in our group showed up there was only a male therapist available . The professionalism and customer service def needs some work. She also kept asking for a tip. Which tipping is not an issue ,but don’t keep asking … I would def suggest she hire help. She can’t host, answer phones ,and book 2 sessions at the same time and give great service ..

I have been here several times in the past month. Had both Jimmy and John as therapists. Very professional. Place is quiet, clean, friendly and very relaxing. Both asked questions regarding the strength of my massage. You will not be disappointed.

I’m a local on HHI & went in for a 60 minute massage - it was literally heaven on earth!! Jimmy is a miracle worker - ended up adding on 30 minutes, deep tissue with hot stones. Cannot say enough about how great I felt during & after. Great location, charming studio with calming decor and music. AND, if you’re local they sell memberships which I am definitely going to buy. I visited last week and had the best deep tissue massage ever with John. Enjoyed myself so much I went back two days later with a friend. Once again, John delivered a world-class massage and worked all of the stress knots out of my neck and lower back. I can’t wait to return next year!

One of the best deep tissue massages Ive ever had and no pain afterwards like I have had at other places. My job is very stressful and I have literally been put out of work because the muscle tension I get can be so bad even after a massage I will still be in tears. So glad I found Sunny Spa and they were actually able to give me the relief I so desperately needed.

This spa has a delightful atmosphere from beginning to end as you are greeted with kindness and then provided a message that loosens you right up. They work around your schedule which is very important in such a busy world we live in today.

Most incredible massage ever! I got to do it together with my friend, we both had really skilled therapists, who worked on deep tissue and finished the 90 minute session with hot stones. Amazing. Place was very clean and soothing.

I requested specifically to have a female therapist. I arrived to my appointment and there was only a male therapist with an apology. My wife had a poor experience as well the day before so we thought they would correct the issue by giving a much better experience after the not so good experience.. this place failed. Def not worth the value , they didn’t communicate effectively and they are very understaffed! I would never return and don’t waste your money.

This is my mom and my second time coming to Sunny Spa. Whenever we meet up somewhere, we try to get massages. My mom gets massages on a regular basis and both times she had Jimmy, she walked away amazed! We are not local to HH, but whenever she comes, she is planning on visiting Sunny Spa.I had Yuki today, and she was amazing! I workout a lot and dont stretch as much as I need to. Yuki spent a lot of time of my 90 minute massage getting my tense muscles loose. In addition, Ive had a nagging knee pain caused from quadricep tendonitis and inflammation in my knee, Yuki spent a lot of time working on these areas moving this inflammation around. OMG!!!!!! Im a massage junkie since 1984 and have a massage therapist come to my home once a week!! Therefore when we travel, I have to find a massage spa!!! WOW!! Did I luck up finding Sunny Spa!! This was EXcellent!! Professional, yet homey! Staff was awesome but the man who gave me my massage was superb and I would recommend them to EVERONE, male or female!!!!! God only knows how many thousands Ive had and this massage was in the top two... The hot stones were great!!! Pam

Unprofessional and very understaffed! This place needs help. We had some friends waiting for 9-10 face down after being told to wait. The massage was interrupted because the owner has to answer the phone , see who was entering the spa, and communicate with her employee all while giving a massage. Def never returning , save your money !

I’m not sure what services this place offers, but from my experience it’s not a message. I had a therapist who had absolutely no idea how to give a message and I left after 10 minutes. Skip this for sure, lots of better options on island.

The massage was uncomfortable and too rough… i woke the next morning and my back felt really sore… they are more concerned about the tips than the actual service. definitely won’t recommend.

I had an amazing deep tissue massage with hot stones at the end.I had been at H3 exercising all week so had a lot of sore muscles.Felt wonderful after the massage and could hit the exercise circuit hard the next day. It was restorative.

Was a very pleasant experience, being my 1st time didnt know what to expect, was nervous but quickly went away once the session begin. The only thing when we were leaving the gentleman at the counter gave us 2 bottles of water as we thank him and begin to exit. He raised his voice loudly Tips, Tips , Tips. Other than great place.

Wow what an experience. No I would not recommend the place. If it’s your first massage you might like it but please do me a favor and pay a little bit extra and go somewhere else. Very poor uncomfortable experience, got massage in very weird places.

They took my husband and I same day and the massages were amazing. They were very intuitive and seemed to know where the knots were and how to get them out. I highly recommend!!

Had deep tissues massage with hot stone, I was kind of little sore in my calf area but overall not bad!I wish the ambience would be better with some relaxing vapors in the room etc, massage lotion / oil needs to be changed, I wish addition there will be no additional credit card charge??

The massage was fabulous! Peter hit areas that I didn’t even know were tense or knotted! Very professional! I haven’t been this relaxed in I don’t remember when!

Out of body good. ask for Elaine, she has magic feet and hands. Ive had bad experiences with being walked on in the past, but Elaine puts exactly the right pressure in exactly the right place. Im totally blown away!!!

Great deep tissue massage. I have to get massages regularly due to a car accident and I was out of town and needed one very badly. They got me in right away and did a great job!

Fabulous. Great massage. Had a crook in my neck which was relieved. Was having issues with my lower back and legs which were relieved. Reminded me so much of the massages given in Thailand. Great. Great. Great.

A little hard to find but well worth locating. Used the reflexology service and back massage. A great value with wonderful results. I was amazed how straight I could stand after the accupressure. Looking forward to returning soon.

Terrific experience here. Maiki (possibly butchered the spelling) was great. I told her what was bothering me (I fell and tweaked my lower back) and she paid great attention and hit every spot. Plus their prices are very reasonable. I will be back every opportunity I get.

Was amazing. Felt great make sure to drink water tho cause I got a super bad headache cause ur body adjust a lot and needs to stay hydrated. Service was awesome and they even helped us reschedule because we couldnt find an uber. Reccomend 100%

This is my new favorite place to go for a massage. I felt like I had done a workout afterwards. It was relaxing and invigorating at the same time. It’s been a month and I am craving to feel that way again. Nowhere else will do.
