I’ll let the photo I share speak for itself. Refusing my mother because of her cancer after she just went through a grueling radiation treatment and finally recovered enough to get moving around. Not fully refunding because of a service fee for a service she didn’t receive, and shaming her in a lobby full of people. Absolutely disgusting excuse of human behavior. Don’t support this establishment.
I tried Massage Envy Ridgehaven today and Erica was an incredible therapist! She listened to my preferences and was calming and kind. The gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and made me feel at home.
Used to have good experiences here. Lately its been impossible to schedule any massages and my past two that I scheduled were both cancelled on me. I scheduled the first one back in October and waited until December for the massage to only be cancelled. Scheduled another one for January only for it to be cancelled as well. I ended my membership and guess what? There is no way Ill be able to use my accrued services since scheduling is impossible. Dont waste your time here its almost a scam.
My wife and I went here because she got us each a 90 minute massage for my birthday. My wife had a great experience. I on the other hand had a terrible experience. The masseuse I had was late starting the appointment. Then ended the session after 10 min. Her excuse was that her iPad wasn’t working. I get it that she probably wasn’t feeling good and needed to stop. Fine. But the front desk made zero attempts to recover from this. They made no attempt to get another masseuse. They made zero attempts to reschedule. They only said we won’t charge you for today. Of course you won’t be charging me. You didn’t render any services. I am not going back to this franchise. This isn’t the first issue I have had with them and this was a reminder of why I decided to stop using their facilities.
I love this location. I drive past multiple Massage Envy’s that are closer to home to come to this location. The staff are friendly and super helpful. The therapists make sure you are comfortable and adjust to your preferences. The front desk team explained the perks of membership without making me feel pressured to join. LOVE IT HERE!
Updated review: they have been consistent with reminder calls over the last two years so Ive upped my review to 4 stars. In the last year there have been some therapist turnovers which meant a lot of rescheduling and trying to find another therapist I liked. Hopefully Pearl sticks around because shes fantastic. My only other complaint is that if you call you can be left on hold a really long time (5+ minutes) and I witnessed being left on hold while the staff chatted with each other at the front desk. I was in my car outside the building, it was pouring rain and I didnt want to walk in to schedule so I called. I watched them talk to each other for 5 minutes. Then I hung up and called back stating that I had been on hold a really long time and thought perhaps they forgot about me. Again, the woman put me on hold and continued to talk to the staff member. Finally 5 minutes later, she picked the phone back up. I was tempted to walk in and point out the fact that I could see she was talking to staff rather than help me on the phone but chose not to.Original review: I was hesitant to go the membership route because I did not want to have hours stack up on me and then struggle to use the sessions I had paid for. I was told that the location would call me at the beginning of each month to remind me or ask me to schedule a time so I decided to give it a go. They did call the first 6 months but now the calls have stopped so now the sessions have stacked up, which I didnt want. I do get quality massages and I have also had a facial, which I enjoyed. I just called to schedule and confirmed with them that they still make phone calls and they said they did, but, if it continues to not be the case, I will have to cancel my membership, I dont have time to keep track of this and without the reminder calls, it will not be worth the membership to me.
I will never book an appointment here again. I called to book my wife a surprise back facial paid $120 for this service. My wife called me on her way out they gave her a basic facial for the same price. I don’t mind because she looks beautiful but she has been complaining for months about the skin on her back so I did this for her so it meant something to me too get this done for her. So I called them and asked why she didn’t receive the service I paid for and the rep says to me well we decided to customize the appointment, placed me on hold and charged my card before finishing the complaint. Then she picks the phone back up says so what do you expect from me and I say at least apologize and she hangs up on me. Wooooow never ever again but happy Mother’s Day ladies!!
Horrid experience and not my first bad one at this location. Although the therapist were kind, the front desk stuff bullied me during our entire conversation. After my initial discussion with Christina, she refused to transfer me to speak with the manager and offer me no solution on my inquiry. She patronized me pretty much shouting my name for 10 minutes straight and refused to answer any questions. She could not care less of what I had to say or want. When I asked to speak with a manager, Christina initially claimed she was the manager but then she changed her mind and said Jena (Gena?) was the actual manager. She later said the manager was not available to speak but offered me no other option (wait on hold, the manager will call back, etc.). What is a customer to believe? When Jena (Gena?) finally took over the phone, she continued criticizing me for my massage options and refused to help me with my inquiry. In addition, she yelled at me, cancelled my appointment and hang up on me but not before claiming that she is absolutely entitled to do that to me. I do not believe the corporate or management really care about the customers. I honestly did not experience such poor customer service in my entire life. It seem that the Massage Envy Ridgedale location gets plenty of online bad reviews and the management seem not to care a bit. I am done with Massage Envy.
First time getting a massage. The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I was a little nervous due to having previous shoulder surgeries. The masseuse was professional and was cautious around my bad shoulder. The masseuse found every knot and problem area without me having to say anything, it was wonderful! All in all, it was a great experience. I left feeling like a new man. I highly recommend this location.
I can help to improve your appearance online, through my services we provide follow up systems to reach out to customers, after you have provided them an enriching positive experience. Then, in my experience, they have been happy to provide a glowing review! Also, we could talk about how to expand exposure to a broader, untapped market in your area. Gaining a whole new influx of interested customers..
Found a couple of great therapists and also received some of the worst massages. I purchased a membership and didnt have any issues until I received a confirmation call for an appointment and wanted to change it from 90 minutes to 60 minutes. I was told that wasnt allowed as therapists block their time and are expecting to be in service. I was given cancellation paperwork right away, as requested and was very happy to transfer all of my prepaid sessions to friends after paying the $10 transfer fee, which I think is one of the stupidest things ever, you type a new name and move the session to them. Administrative costs are not that high. Usually the transfer policy is 1-2 sessions a month I believe? The service desk person made that process very easy.Ill miss going there but I can also find a massage elsewhere with comparable pricing and therapists.
Worst customer service EVER!!!! Do NOT use this service!! Aren’t massages supposed to relax you, not stress you out?!On the afternoon of Wednesday 3/21, my boyfriend signed up for a 12 month contract. He was trying to get a massage the day that he signed the contact, but they were too busy to see him. He was told to book an appointment online. He went online but they did not have any appointments that worked with his schedule so he didn’t get a massage. In the last month, he has not been able to schedule an appointment so he wanted to cancel his contract. He thought that he would have 30 days to try it out and cancel the contract. They never mentioned how long he had to cancel it.Today, we go to this location and asked to cancel his contract. They say that they cannot cancel it, but he could freeze it. That would just temporarily freeze payments, but he would still have to pay for 12 months of unused massages. Why would anyone want to pay for a service that doesn’t work with their schedule? Why would a company want to treat their customers so poorly?!We asked for the store manager contact info (Drea Carlson) and they said that she was unavailable for the next week. We will email and call the store manager to further deal with this issue.
Ive never had a business charge for missing an appointment. I work overnights as a nurse and after working five 12 hour shifts, I overslept my alarm. Life happens amd consideration should be made. I will never use Massage Envy again and will make sure others are aware of thier poor service.
I had been going to this massage Envy twice a month for about 2 years and my therapist left so I followed her but I had no issues at all. I always had an attentive therapist and good massages. Cant beat the price for a 1 hour (ok 50 min) massage. The few dust bunnies didnt bother me.
Was super rude to my mom and turned her down because she has brain cancer and didn’t have a doctor’s note last minute.
My experience was horrible. I booked a massage a month or and it wad cancelled without my knowledge and I wasnt informed, I called and found this out. Then when I explained the situation to the manager Christina she said well she cant do anything but rebook it, she offered nothing to me. She offered no apologies no sympathy nothing! She didnt even care, and the next appointment was months out. Needless to say I will not be returning which is sad for them because I was a member!
Massages are great, the membership was not bad, and then when I had to switch HSA providers all hell broke loose. They called me to demand that I provide a new card number (because my employee was switching HSA providers and I TOLD them that would happen in my last visit) I offered to pay with a different card on my next visit (two days away) and the lady demanded a new card right away or else she would have to cancel my massage... like if I owed them money or something.... maybe a really bad employee in the Ridgedale location, who knows. Needles to say I send her my best regards and thank her for everything. so long massage envy, you wont be missed much.
If you’re thinking of getting a membership here, think again. My facial and massage was mediocre, the front desk assistant manager lacks customer service skills, and when you cancel you have 60 days to use all of your unused credits. You would think they would be more accommodating and times of a pandemic. The clincher was I was two days late to cancel so I have to pay for the whole entire month as well. :(
Horrible!! Don’t come here because they don’t care about your concerns. I called to get a microderm facial, and was very clear about it, but SOMEHOW it got lost in translation with the front desk person, her name is Jessica. Half way through my facial, I realized that I was just getting a regular customized facial, and not the microderm facial I asked* and booked for. I was extremely upset. The manager called me today to pacify me with a one free “add-on” as a way of saying sorry. My time and MONEY was wasted. And add-on isn’t going to cut it. They weren’t willing to offer a solution that would be of the same or similar value that I spent on the facial! I’m heavily thinking about just canceling my entire Massage Envy membership. This is not ok. Don’t go to the Massage Envy in Minnetonka, I don’t feel valued as a customer. Especially by the manager. This was my first time ever going there, what a terrible experience!
Signed up for a membership with full verbal assurances that it could be cancelled at any time. After using it for a few months, determined that the service was not the quality advertised and not meeting my needs. Provided written cancellation and immediately received multiple phone calls informing me that I had to call then and discuss the situation before they would approve the cancellation. Called back to discuss with the manager and was told they would send me to collections if I did not pay for 12 months - never asked why I was cancelling or in what ways the business was not meeting my needs (never even asked if the service WAS meeting my needs). Beware of extremely shady business practices.
I love this Massage Envy. All the therapists that I have seen have been extremely kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I have had one microderm-infusion done here as well and from the one ive had - my skin has improved immensely. 4 Days later and my skin is still looking good. The customer service here has been phenomenal in my personal opinion. Every time I walk in, im greeted with smiles & All the front desk have a pretty sound idea on whats going on around them and seem to enjoy what they do all the way from talking with them over the phone, to walking in & Checking out. I have personally never had an issue with any of the front desk or management. I most definitely recommend this location.
The greeting was great, the front desk was very helpful at first. My therapist was wonderful and very attentive. The problem was that I had been given a $75 gift card from a friend last year and finally got around to using it. I went to check out and they told me I had no balance and someone else had used it. Very confusing and frustrating and they told me they couldnt do anything at all for me and now I had to pay out of pocket because they somehow used my gift card that I physically had on someone elses account. So they made me pay for their error. I will not be back to any Massage Envy any time soon because I believe this is very poor management of staff and cash handling. If they can use my gift card for anyone then who knows what they could do with my credit card!?
This was not the experience i paid for. First time customer and last at this location. The massage therapist called in sick so they cancelled my 1 1/2 hour session and asked me to reschedule it with a gentleman instead after hesitating a bit i called back three times to only get their voicemail left a message stating i would be happy to move my appointment only to get another call telling me that my session needed to be shorted to 30 minutes instead. Arrive at the place to be gawked at and then hastilly rushed through a 45 MINUTE MASSAGE. I paid for the hour and received much less than that. An incredible disappointment. Reached the checkout and complained that there was no sign of regard just words of apologies and trying to sell me a membership even though i was already unhappy with my service.A WASTE OF MONEY GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION.
Dirty rooms, do they ever clean?Massage therapists are amazing, but the people at the front are very rude or fake. No one up there wants to be there. You can tell the manager doesnt care about being there, I e had two conversations with her and all she can ever say is okay, and make excuses. If you can run a business then dont. I will no longer go to this location. I will go back to my home location in maple grove. Dont go there unless you want to be pushed around and be made to feel like you dont matter, even though you are the reason they get a paycheck.
My new favorite Massage Envy location! Super friendly front desk staff and management. Cant forget about the wonderful therapists!! The mai reason I will continue to go! Great location as well.
Ambiance was off putting, not a good massage, very rushed. Took a while for my massuse to get to my appointment. Started 20 minutes late and ended quickly. 90 minute massage ended up at about 50 minutes worth of massage time. Wont be coming back to this location.
Paid for a 60 minute massage and only got 45 minutes worth. I showed up early and ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes. Massage was mediocre. Definitely going back to my favorite Golden Valley location. I knew better!!
The entire staff at this location is always pleasant and happy to be there. They make excellent recommendations and know their massage therapists well. I have worked with two of their therapists for both massage and stretch and both were great!
Straight forward, easy scheduling. I havent had the best massages, but they are good massages and super convenient for when I am traveling (away from my favorite massage therapist). Easy to get to...
Updating my review, as I have been very pleased with my experiences over the past few months. Picking up the phone and calling them does wonders, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. Good value and would recommend calling and getting things booked out for a consistent day/time over a few months.
I was in about a month ago, and have plenty of experience with Massage having had many massages as well as working for countless other Massage Envy Spa franchises. The girl who booked the appointment failed to inform me that my therapist worked primarily with acupressure technique, not traditional Swedish massage. I asked for no arms, but was given treatment on my arms anyways. Then, countless times during my session I was told that I had various ailments due to muscle tension in certain parts of my body--(gallbladder issues because of my left ankle pain, liver failure due to the pain in my feet from my plantars faciitis). She then made jabs at the fact that I went to the chiropractor. Needless to say, I got a good laugh, because here she is, someone without a medical degree giving me a diagnosis, which is against corporate policy. Thought it was extremely un-professional and wish I had seen a different therapist. Will stick to my clinic in Golden Valley, though they never have openings because we are always booked!
Great location and staff. Ive been coming here for several years and the therapists are very good and staff are helpful and friendly. I recommend the location...close to shopping and errands. Its very affordable as a member compared to other salons. Overall highly recommend!
Lol, don’t even. What a scam - they’re scheming money out of people left and right. The massage therapist told me I need a 90 minute massage next time ($$$) and the receptionist relentlessly tried to sell me on the membership ($$$).
Ive been going here for years - I absolutely LOVE this place! I work with the same massage therapist each time and weve got a great relationship. I drive across the twin cities to go to this location because I love it so much :-)
This place has saved me several times during my bodybuilding prep. They have kept my lactic acid levels low and my body primed for whatever life throws at me.
Shout out to massage therapist Danny! I was a wound up ball of stress on my way in and an hour later Danny worked his magic and my neck, shoulders and back were pain free.
Amazing!! I received a facial and left with my skin feeling better than ever. My skin has never felt so smooth and hydrated.
Of course I will give ME Ridgehaven 5 Stars... I am a Lead Massage Therapist there.
The staff is AMAZING!!! I always have a great experience from the time I enter the door until I leave.
As always, amazing!
Terrible service and no availability after 5 - ps transferring across franchisees is a Nightmare
Wow they are rude…how do people go here and pay for this kind of service!?
Don’t ever go here.
Definitely the place to relax
Overpriced and overrated!!
Clean and friendly
