Super cute remodeled motel, friendly check-in, but bring a blanket. The beds only had a sheet and a single layer coverlet. There was no blanket on either bed and the coverlet is the thickness of a heavy sheet... I had to sleep in what I traveled in.... Ive never had this experience even at the cheapest shady motels Ive been in. Very perplexing
Avoid at any cost. One of the worst motels in the area, roaches everywhere and beds are infested. Rooms are poor and weed smell is everywhere, not safe at all. Walls are super thin and I woke up every time someone shut his/her door, you’ll probably find way better place for the same price.
Our stay here was exactly what we had been looking for when we come to Houston! We’ll be booking here every time we come to town. Great clean, modern rooms and helpful staff. Loved it!
Service was very horrible. I dont know if the lady there is the manager or owner, however, she was very rude. I went to the front desk for extra towels, oh, she got so loud and rude with me!!!!!
We had a great experience here last night. I was worried due to the most recent review. We were on the bottom floor and we loved the new look. The shower took a minute to learn to operate but it had great pressure. No issues with cleanliness it was as clean as could be. Really cool space!!!
Well here I am on about my third month here my home away from home. While it is an older facility it is an awesome place to stay. I cannot remember anytime in the past 42 years that Ive traveled for work that I have stayed at a place where I have not even seen an ant on the property. no matter how modern or well kept a facility is you usually see some kind of insect somewhere. That is not the case here it is an immaculately kept property. Ive noticed the housekeeping crew work and they get after it like nobodys business. The rest of the staff management and best personnel are incredibly accommodating kind and helpful. Would recommend to anyone for any reason. Good job Days Inn keep up the good work.
This hotel is acceptable, but only just. Most of what you pay for here is a convenient location. The first room I was given had a smoke alarm that needed a new battery, so was given a different room which had a noisy AC. Both rooms had dirty and stained carpet and couches, and dirty lighting in the bathrooms, and the mattresses were both very springy and bouncy, making it hard to share a bed with someone else. On the plus, the rooms are big, the place was quiet, and the housekeeping was friendly and accommodating, but maintenance and cleaning definitely need improvement. Having formerly lived in the area, this motel has been here as long as I can remember, so it is a bit older and dated.
Great place to stay! Didnt have any problems at all. When I got there I kind of thought it was going to be a bad stay but after the first night I was really satisfied. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was only disappointed about breakfast. The sign reads hot breakfast but when I got to the breakfast room. The only thing hot was the waffle maker. Was expecting eggs and sausage. Just boiled egg which were not hot and the usual cereal. Other then that, had a great stay.
After over 10 years in Houston, I finally stayed in a hotel for the last two nights before moving out of the city. My stay here was extremely cheap, and the room was big and clean. I think I came back and put the Do not disturb sign up between the cleaning, so they took my old towels but hadnt put in new ones. Fortunately I was staying alone, so I had extras from the first night. They do serve breakfast, but I did not go check it out, so I cant comment on it.A couple things: no facial tissue in the room, though there is a slot for it in the bathroom counter. I think it was empty but not replaced. Its also fairly noisy here. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.
The rooms were nicer than youd think based on the exterior. The breakfast did include waffles and some microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, but that was all as far as offering a hot breakfast. The staff was sufficiently helpful. There was no pool. They claim to have a fitness center, but I didnt check it out or notice it. Overall, I would say this hotel stay was worth about $50-60/night, but I feel a bit cheated having paid about $80.
I stayed here about a month and a half ago with my husband, brother and 1 yo. Check in was good, well explained about parking and such... Once we got into the room it smelled humid, maybe because of Harvey, maybe not.I had a problem with the shower the next morning, but i called FD and they sent a guy from maintanence right away and he explained how to get the hot water out.The complementary waffle was not really good, but i wasnt expecting more of it.I enjoyed my stay even after I had read reviews about having roaches or bugs in the rooms.Turned out the hotel was not as close as we needed it to be to our destination, but either way turned out fine.I always expect the worst from a 2 star hotel, but luckily we ran into no bad surprises.Nothing to complain about.
Checked in late at night. Front door was locked, we had to enter through the side. Lobby was very nice and the gentleman working was soft-spoken. I guess the new policy is you have to pay at check-in. I gave a card to put on file but I wanted to pay cash. If I pay cash I must leave a cash deposit of $150 even if a card is on file. Not a great system. The room was nice, no extra sheets for the pullout bed, and the gentleman at the desk was rude when I asked for some. Im not sure if this place is safe, they make you put a tag in the vehicle of its in their parking lot. If you fail to return it you will be charged $25 dollars. Other than that the place was good. Okay place just for 1 night stay.
The absolute BEST Days Inn I have stayed at yet and I stay in hotels EVERY night for weeks at a time and Im telling you now... This place blew my mind when I got into my room. Very nice and clean. One of the best hotels Ive stayed at in the last year of working away from home. Front desk guy was awesome as well. Im very very pleased. Take my word for it because if it sucked I would tell you it did but no way in the world I have ANY complaints about this place..
I know what I am getting when I choose to stay at a Days Inn for my near weekly travel. But this experience has to be the worst by far.I had to have my room changed after almost half an hour on the property because my TV was not working. The bedsheet was not washed and the bedspread had visible stains on it. The bath towel still had a prior guest’s hair in it, and the floor wasn’t properly vacuumed.Don’t even get me going on their weak excuse for a continental breakfast.I have stayed at many other Days Inn locations in the Houston area over the last few months, and I have come to respect the independent owners of these locations because of the value they provide at the price, but this location has not done anything to make the customer experience worth their expense.
Well first of all I didnt like the fact that my bed linens was dirty the couch had a big stain on it and another thing my toilet didnt work. It stopped up within 30 minutes of me being there and so I had to change rooms. But I did like the fact that the breakfast was pretty decent.
Overall not a bad hotel, but also not the best for those looking to stay at an affordable hotel for a day or two. Breakfast quality is limited but overall enjoyable. I did unfortunately have an accident where I left my wallet in the room and when returning back to my room more than have of my money was gone. Mind you I get back to the room around 1am, I got reported it to the man in lobby yet he claims that I must wait for the manger in the morning. Next morning I go, another man in lobby (not the manager) says he’ll investigate who was working but he assured that he trust the cleaners and when cleaning the restroom they leave the front door open. He’s basically saying that it must had been some stranger but I find that hard to believe because I had an iPad and other valuable items. Obviously someone robbery you wouldn’t care, rather than a maid who won’t make it seem obvious. An hour later, I had to check out and to go a conference. I advised the clerk that I was leaving and what was gonna happen but he said “I’ll tell the manager”. Yet this did not help me get my hard earned money back to me. I did not reach out of anger, yet thought positive as if they were going to return the money to me when checking the camera for who it was. Although I was completely wrong.
Alarm clock in room not working, batteries in remote dead, tub was gross, holes in sheets and went to front desk to ask for razor (only had carry on from flight) but they had none. On the bright side its clean and relatively updated appearing.
The hotel was pretty good! The first room we walked into though smelt like the sewage was backed up. We called management, he was nice enough to bring us a new room card and go in the room to make sure we were happy. Very convenient location.
The front desk staff was pleasant to work with. Breakfast was pretty underwhelming but at least they had it. The room was fine, but a maintenance staff member did insist on working on a leak while I was still in the unit which was a little inconvenient.
Pretty bad service here and they kept my deposit because I had 4 friends come over for a visit while I was in town. The place has bugs has those rude Indians here with crazy rules and I wouldn’t recommend
Room was very clean, staff was great. Location seemed like it got bought out from a cheaper hotel but management does a very good job. Bed was on the stiff side and you do need a parking pass which if lost its 25$. Apart from its quirks it was great.
Terrible not what I expected ! On Sept 18, 2019 Wednesday I arrived Days inn by Wyndham Houston 3333 Fountain View Dr Houston TX Confirmation Number 83253EC013818. My experience was horrible ! The Room not clean at all dirty smell cigarette smoke inside. The bed linen dirty filthy not changed previous customer. Shower tub filthy Yuk ! Brought to Front desk attention. They scrounged around for clean bed linen.
The front desk girl charged my credit card incorrectly and then blamed it on Capitol One when in fact it was her computer having a technical error or her not inputting the data correctly. Then the room had bed bugs which unfortunately I didn’t come to realize until the next day when my wrist and cheek had bites all over. Overall bad service and dirty beds. I’m disappointed with my experience. I felt it was overpriced as well.
Breakfast is not as offered (maybe because of the pandemic)Internet connection is not reliableRooms need maintenance - In my case A/C wasnt working properly and it was terrible.Personal of the hotel are friendly and willing to help.
I give this hotel a 5 Star because our stay due to our bathroom being remodeled, RK and Shean made me and my husband feel very much at home. I got confused about the rates but actually the rates of our stay was good considering the Memorial Day weekend holliday. We met a shoe maker and his family from Massachusetts that were visiting Houston for the 1st time and actually became our new friends. If needed we would definitely stay here. Rooms were very clean, we absolutely have no complaints. Were actually are going to miss it here and we live right down the street. This area is filled with excitement and sights to see. We recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Houston/Tanglewood-Galleria area.
My husband and I got this room for new years eve. If youre looking for something cheap for a drunken night this is it. The room could have had more attention. We checked in around 6pm and as we walked into the restroom we found a used tampon behind the toilet. The towels in the room were dirty and no laundry bags. We werent too upset considering we were just there to sleep for a night but they should really check the rooms before they issue them out.
Definitely not worth $60 a night... place needs tons of maintenance, its really bad, stains on the bedspread, mold in the shower. Will update when I check the breakfast tomorrowUpdate: not an extensive breakfast its mehReceptionist should not be working in the service industry, zero enthusiasm. Day person should not be blaring crazy things on his radio (Im really trying to stay PC on this review)
This was the WORST place Ive ever stayed at!! The air conditioning want working properly I was told if I didnt like it to check out with no refund! When I left for work they felt the need to rearrange all of my belongings when there was a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. I felt very uncomfortable with someone going through my personal items. HORRIBLE attitude by the clerk at the front desk for this issue as well
Clean, inexpensive and willing to accommodate a very odd check-in time are the plusses..the ads for the property definitely were of some other property - these are your standard days inn rooms and bathrooms (no remodel as hoped from the photos online). I got charged $25 for forgetting to turn in my parking permit (which is a big gimmick to charge an extra $25 for a permit when one is not at all needed) but I later returned mine and they backed the charge off my AMEX. It’s a cheap clean alternative and it is marginal in all categories.
This is NOT a Days Inn anymore. It’s the Grand Villa Inn. Google advertised Days in for 64 bucks, found out it was this place, and it was 85. Was exhausted from driving and really didn’t want to stop anywhere else. The attitude was wack. Exhaustion really makes you appreciate the small things, so I’ll show you the small things I found in my room. Felt like someone else’s room honestly! Haha never again. Maybe leaving Days Inn on the map is a marketing ploy.
In the past year when visiting Houston I have visited this location 5 times. Never have i had a problem here until this spring break vacay. The second day when asked for room service I declined due to being busy at the moment with family visiting when I returned that evening I had several things missing from my room. I made a complaint in regards to my Nike sandals, my daughters JoJo siwa hairbows bows, my entire Mac make up, cosmetic bag and straightener missing from my room. The manager on duty at the time assured me that he would contact the housekeeping ladies and call me back in regards to my complaint I still have not heard a word I have called and they have told me they have not been able to reach the housekeeping ladies of that day. Do Not Stay here if you have valuable things that you dont want missing or taken from housekeeping. I am disappointed due to the fact i really loved this location since it is the closest inn near family living in Houston. Never again thumbs 👎!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could leave no stars and write a review I would. I’m currently a member and I booked a hotel room online I received a confirmation for my hotel room which stated the fee that I would have to pay when arriving which was $60 and some change. When I went into the office to check in the man told me that I had to leave a $200 deposit down to even stay when I tried to show him my confirmation email and the fees that it told me to pay he said I was wrong and that if I don’t leave it apposite I’m not allowed to be here. Just very disappointing and very inconvenient I just needed a room for my birthday today and I had to go find another hotel in such short notice..
This place is terrible. My company booked me here and the Days Inn refused to use the company card my stay was booked with forcing me to pay out of pocket. The fitness center was being remodeled and the internet was so slow I couldnt transfer files for work. Kids were yelling and crying outside, the receptionist was cold and rude, and the manager was nowhere to be found. I checked in on a Sunday and was told the manager might not return until next weekend. I would never stay at this place or another Days Inn again if it were up to me.
Very good Days Inn compared to other Days Inn I stayed around. Nice clean rooms. Room service done every day. Has small fridge, microwave, direct tv and free high speed WiFi. WiFi is stable connection. Offers free continental break fast. Convenient location for shipping and cost effective.
Worst hotel ever , dirty rooms , bad staff work , dangerous neighborhoods, you car might disappear from the parking, everyone can enter your room without any permission ,once they have your money they will never gave it back to you again even if there is no room or bad condition room .be safe and choose better hotel.
Flight got cancelled into Houston so we couldnt stay at the hotel. They would not refund our money for a four night stay. Absolute worst customer service this hotel as well as all of Days Inn. This has been a 4 week process, giving us the run-around each time. Today, they finally said they would not be refunding our money. Total BS and not the way anyone should run a business. Stay clear of this place and all other Days Inn.
Prices higher when you get there. Our bed had hair ALL in the sheets. Ants in the bathroom. Walls are paper thin. Not to mention the breakfast they offer is just SAD. Wont return.
We booked this hotel for my parents while they were visiting, and the location was perfect - close to everything without being in the middle of the city and easy access to major highways. It can get a little loud during heavy traffic though.
I cannot recommend using priceline or this particular hotel company. I was made aware of the location being not in a very safe area and that it was at least an hour away from the family in Houston I was to visit. I am still 30 days away from my arrival date and priceline states that the agreement with the hotel prevents them from changing me to a different Days Inn in the area closer to my family location. When I asked the hotel directly offering to pay a difference in price or a changing fee. I was informed that if changed or cancelled I would be out the entire fee for the hotel (paid at the time of reservation, 3 months ago or more). Both companies are not about the consumer or the customer satisfaction or retention of business. I will not be using EITHER Priceline or Days Inn ever in the future regardless of the rates offered!!! Please stay clear of both businesses. Just offering my advice and experience.
Good place to stay. Its clean, and service is good. I did not have the chance to eat their breakfast. If I ever visited Houston again, I wouldnt mind staying there at all.
This hotel is running a scam. They detrimentally charge your credit card, even after you call to cancel the reservation and will not refund the money they stole. Since no of the front office speaks Spanish, I would not recommend this hotel to guests who are here to visit. Worst hotel my girlfriend and I have ever stayed in.
Great room for the price paid. Good location , it was near lots to do and lots to eat. It was very close to where I needed to be. Staff was friendly and lots of options for breakfast.
Got to this hotel at 1 in the afternoon, the clerk was rude and said he was all booked, called back an hour later and all the sudden he had 4 rooms available. He said the room would be $99 a night. When we came back to book the rooms he said the rooms were $149 dollars a night. Very unprofessional and the clerk was still rude.
Not the best but not the worst the area is nice and they keep it clean off the richmond strip but high traffic area bro! Them and 2 other hotels on richmond safe and your car will not be touch!
The front desk personnel are genuine in their interest of the new arriving guests. The front desk work toward selecting the best room location for the guests needs. The front desk personnel even personally will clean a guests room that stays over a second night if needed. The personnel are outstanding.😀
Very friendly guys. The room was clean friendly. Free parking. Breakfast could be better. Perfect for last day as tourist.
Good size of room and good price...but wish I would have spent a lil bit more $ on a better hotel....Friday night motorcycles roaring engines down the street...super small breakfast area, non-smoking room stunk like a smoking room, shower water pressure low...not a place to bring your wife and kids
Good location. Ive stayed twice and found the downstairs rooms to be very noisy. You might try an upstairs room if you like quiet sleep
Great location. Good for price. Decor is outdated but rooms are clean with no bugs. Ok for how much youre paying.
For what it is, the place is great. Very clean. The staff is great and very friendly. Im halfway through my stay and am very happy.
I stayed here quite a few times for work in Houston a few years back, not the best, but somewhere to rest.
Great staff. Clean property. I stayed here for 3 months with my 5 year old son and I am very thankful for DAYS INN
The room was great. However..we had to check out early and there was no one to check us out. We couldnt wait.
I never do these reviews but I am thoroughly impressed with this hotel and highly recommend it. Best Days Inn Ive ever stayed at 👍🏻
The room was clean and inexpensive for the area. Was nice and close to a friends apartment and the galleria. Staff was nice.
Prices are normally $55 for a night, but when the winter storm hit in February they were price gauging the prices up to 120 a night! Thats crazy. I will never stay there
Wouldnt stay here, running a scam, 50.00 room deposit lost because I smelled of smoke, then changed to smoked outside on camera and then dont smoke on property, manger you didnt go to smoking area and what happened to the ADA American with disabilities act
Only because I arrived at 6 ant still paid the 75 dls and wish they would have given some discount @ least 55dls would have been fine but it is decent
They are nasty and have bed bugs and got mad at me for checking out the other room and it had bed bugs too so I didnt get my money back because of there nasty room I will be taking legal action against them.
Okay, but I will not stay again. Door lock did not work, room smelled musty, not sure if bed was clean, and paint peeling off walls. This is motorlodging, road can be heard from room.
Nice room, ac was a little loud in my room, and beds are a little harder than I care for. But not a bad place to stay.
3 stars as the prices are good for the area but rooms are outdated and not always excellently cleaned
The rooms were newly renovated however the front desk was very nosy I did not appreciate all the questions other than that it was a quite nice area but the only thing I didnt like besides the nosy staff was the rooms were so hot inside that I could barely sleep and the air conditioning just wasnt helping so I checked out the next day
They have outrageous prices and nothing weekly but its nice comfortable beds thats about it and you can do laundry on site
Very nice clean rooms. Great customer service. Hot breakfast in the morning.
Room was nice, people were helpful. We just stayed one night and it was fine.
If you ever want to leave your loved ones questioning whether or not you had a secret life b/c your body was found in a run down motel in a seedy part of town, than THIS IS THE PLACE for you!
Very quick service, though theres a later check in. Overall a very nice room and a comfortable bed to sleep.
Worst hotel ever!!! We were only going to stay one night for Business trip! Big mistake.. The dumb ass Hindu was too rude. With plenty of hotels in the area this is defenitely not even a night sleeper on my list!!
They require a very high hold on your card for incidentals but rooms were nice and very clean.
For what you pay I had a good experience. Clean, quite, had good Wi-Fi. Comes with a breakfast!
Nicely remodeled, goodnprice, customer service was excellent. Some lights wouldnt turn on and the agent gave us a nother room.
The place looks brand new. Staff was friendly and accommodating!
This is no longer a Days Inn, it’s much better with an incredible staff and cleaner rooms!
Not friendly check in, dirty sheet with dried blood on it! Paid $100 for a night, should have been better!
Disgusting rooms that are half way cleaned. I would reccomend paying xtra for a better hotel.
If you are not expecting luxury here is not for you. But clean rooms, daily cleaning,...just little old hotel, but good staff and place
Enjoyed the stay comfortable beds and clean room pleasant service will stay again
The building is quite old and it is close to a busy street so it is a bit noisy. The location however is good, close to several restaurant and Westheimer st.
Watch out they’re a thief’s and No customer service either Plus they steal my charger from the room 🙈cheap shame of y’all👎👎👎👎👎
Rooms clean, older property, very minimal breakfast. Small apples, hard boiled eggs, bread, yogurt, waffles, cereal, coffee, milk, juice.
On family fun trip attending two Family Reunions of Levi - Sharon. The father*law called me Silver Bullet (lol)
I mean I stayed there for just one night clean place comfortable
Very clean and nice place. We were very comfortable.
They always have attitudes like they dont want customers or something. The only one thats cool is the one that works at night
Just checked in and the place looks very good and the guy at the front desk is very helpful and professional, highly recommend
Shower wall smeared with globs of long hair, otherwise nice staff, cheapest place in walkable location
Clean rooms neartown good rates friendly staff I liked it
Clean, good continental breakfast, and truly non smoking rooms.
Staff is 110% helpful, good location, great breakfast in the morning.
WeekendIs not good after 2 am gets so noise lot of cars an people on the street makind noise
Reasonably priced, decent rooms, set back from a lot of the stores
OK for a quick stay. Not a very safe area of town, beware.
Free breakfast,Free high speed Wi-Fi,Workout room and paid laundary
Nice clean room. Not so good breakfast
Very nice place good staff clean rooms
Rude people. Dust everywhere. Had someone running around upstairs at 1am .. called management just to be told what did I want them to do about it
It is a really nice place but get ready to spend $100 or more
Always clean rooms and the breakfast is awesome!
Nice room good service recommend them to everybody
Louie really knows his stuff ! Fast friendly while remaining cool under pressure!!
Friendly staff. Clean Room. Decent price for location.
Was bought out by a private company, now Grand Villa Inn.
Good price, Good friendly service and clean rooms!!!
I LOVED IT, nice beds, wifi and everything nice!
Very nice facility. Clean and quiet.
Will decide to kick out good patrons based on arbitrary rules
It met my expectations for the $$$ point. Especially since the whole world is locked out.
The galleria is always fun. Theres always something to see.
Good people but the quality of the place is questionable
Not clean, very old, minimal breakfast.
New renovations with awesome customer service and new owner
Great room..nice price
Terrible staff. It took a lot of time to check in.
Great customers services and good beds.

We paid at hotels.com and when we arrived we paid by card again because they said there was no payment, we gave a cash deposit which they did not accept that we gave it, they checked the cameras and saw that if we gave it we almost missed the flight why they did not want to return the cash, demand your money why they refuse to give you a receipt, you arrive tired and what you want is to sleep, they take advantage
The place looks calm. Clean and pretty. But there are no elevators to lift luggage.
Typical motel, cheap, but sufficient. Next to the highway, but far from the center. Parking included. Have a very light breakfast.
Well I havent been but I give it all for Selena Quintanilla but I want to go to that place 👍🏻
Bad experience, they dont clean the rooms and they are very deteriorated
Very clean and friendly treatment. American breakfast. Very good.
For just spending the night it was good. A stay of two or three days is not that useful.
Very bad service, rooms without hot water, I do not recommend it
They need to change the lady who is in the hotel
Perfect. Everything 100%
Very comfortable to spend the night and at a good price
Old hotel that needs to renew furniture and equipment.
I like it a lot
Very good
Noisy air conditioning, little breakfast
I liked it, its clean
