We had a late check in, around 9 pm. The lobby was locked so we had to be serviced at the window. The note said ring bell for service, so we did. After ringing the bell about 10 times, 5 minutes later a guy appeared yelling that we didn’t have to keep ringing the bell and he was coming. His attitude was disgusting, but that was just the beginning. He told us the $50 deposit had to be in cash which we weren’t aware of and we ubered there. There was an atm inside the lobby but he wouldn’t let us use it because he said he was locked inside and didn’t have a key which was a lie. We told him we didn’t drive there and he said bluntly “that’s not my problem “. We had to walk across the freeway to the nearest atm at a bank. We came back and got the key to our room. Our room was in the second floor. The exterior was a bit scary and there were random men just standing around yelling. When we opened the door the smell of mold hit us. The towel were dirty and disgusting, the whole place looked like a horror film. The next morning I was woken up by a roach crawling across my face. NEVER AGAIN will I stay here. Please stay far away from this roach infested place. Spend your money elsewhere
Not family friendly!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS TO STAY HERE!!!! This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen!! I didn’t even bother to stay the night because it was so disgusting. Our non-smoking room reek of cigarettes and the condition of the room was absolutely horrible. The lights did not turn on, there were stains and holes in the bed sheets, the floor was all torn up, the bathroom was just a mess! I even tried to give it another chance by asking for a different room but it wasn’t any better! The doors were impossible to open and I feared I was locked in. Many other customers had the same issues and demanded a refund but refund was not issued. This hotel is a waste of time and money and it should be shut down due to the disgusting conditions. It needs to go out of business immediately and the authorities should investigate what does on at this shady hotel!!! Please do not book this hotel if you care about your health!!
I booked for a room which is 60 to 65 and I paid almost $90 for two rooms. When I took my keys, the room had no light. No water, all darkness. The other room sheet has not been changed. Customer service was very poor, the receptionist not even paying attention to the customer.
Scam artist. Completely wouldnt take my business card for his deposit , which wasnt on the website amd as much as the room. Then when the 3rd party app I used try to call and get my refund he refused to answer the call stating its restricted pricing and any cancelations are non refundable. Im super pist.
Roaches and I mean roaches all the time. It was difficult to sleep because of my concern they’d get on/in bed. The tv had been “used” for years according to staff member who came to check on it so had to put up w/ poor quality picture/sound. Toilet seat was not right size for the toilet & would slip if you sat on it normally. These people obviously don’t care about these things nor do anything about it when bought to their attention. They still charge same. Oh I almost forgot, aren’t fire alarms required in rooms? Didn’t see one and where there should be one was just circular outline that had been painted over. It’s a roach infested dive & a bit scary.
Its scary here. Fights every other day. Staff plays favorites. Terrible environment. I get the place is cheap but not any longer than a week Id be here and i had to stay there 5 months. Please please please if you care about yourself. Dont stay here. Roaches in the rooms. Black mold. Rats. Please.I think the best part of oyo is when Mirna and Suzy would come and make sure everything was properly cleaned and I had everything I need. So shoutout to OYOs cleaning service being the only decent clean thing there
THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL!!!!! Hands down the WORST motel I have ever stayed at. What they dont tell you online when you book is they require a $50 deposit in cash only at check in. The rooms look like someone stood outside the room and YELLED remodel but forgot to actually do the whole remodel. MOLD MOLD MOLD!!!!. The first room they put me in the door had been kicked in already ( not joking ) so I got a different room that smelled like cigarettes and weed and the AC didnt work, finally got a 3rd room and had blood on the blankets. 4th room worked just smelled like cat pee. Homeless all over, watched a guy sit on the stairs and shoot up drugs and just casually nodded to me when he way me looking at him in shock. I have no idea how this place is in buisness and warn anyone to not stay here.
Do not stay here at all. It is unfit for human habitation. I will be reporting this facility to my colleagues at OSHA at minimum and the state health department! If you decide to stay here, you are risking your health , the place is laden with pest, stray dogs, roaches, mice, open trash containers in the hall, drug dealers , you name it. I thought I was checking into a trap house . While awaiting in line to check in, there were customers complaining about the hotel conditions. When I got out of my car I decided to leave my husband and children inside and was approached by a man asking me to buy drugs. How on earth this level of loitering even be allowed? The front desk staff is unprofessional, rude, and dishonest guy who refused to show me my room. The facility is unsanitary, as soon as you approach the door there is a death-like stench brewing from the outside doors. The fact they refuse to allow you to see the rooms before checking in is a dead giveaway. I demanded my refund due to this and everything I seen and smelled outside and in the lobby and they refused which is dishonest ! And they will not honor their refund policy on their website. The disgusting behavior from the manager reveals that he is accustomed to these conditions says a wealth about the slum he comes from. I wouldn’t allow my dog in this place. I highly do not recommend this hotel to a homeless person, in fact from the conditions and evidence I seen and collected, it is possible a cover up for human trafficking and drug dealing!
I am going to call corporate. Couldnt use my room key 4 out of 5 nights. If you like to see drug deals go down, just get a room facing highway 6. If you want to hear banging and shouting at 2am, live on the opposite side. Security is a joke.
Be careful, because they have allowed homeless camps to be built on the property. That’s why homeless people walk around all night.They are under those tents using drugs, and the manager knows it.I have never in my life heard of a hotel allowing homeless people to set up camp outside.Please don’t stay here.They do not care about your safety at all. They evict homeless people, then allow them to still sleep on the property outside for a few days. So, you will be staying amongst desperate people with addictions and no money. Read the reviews.They have an extremely high amount of car break-ins.This is a dope/trap hotel. They sell dope in back parking lot and on the side of the hotel.

The is a horrible hotel, the first roo. I reserved I dont entered and it was used , you could see the butt imprints, the amount of drugs and fighting I saw and heard was ridiculous, the mattress and box spring was disgusting, I actually laid on my own comforter and left it for them, please take them off of this site I was disgusted completely, I will NEVER GO BACK 🤢🤮🤮
If I could give no stars I would, first off its in an unsafe place. We go up to the room wires are hanging out from the TV, the AC did not work look like parts were missing from it we were in the room no more than 5 minutes wanted to leave with a refund. The person on duty refuses us are refund we tried to get his name would not give it to us. NOT A SAFE PLACE TO STAY THE ROOM HORRIBLE.

I have YET to go to a OYO hotel that ISNT TRASH. How are you going to run a hotel full of people with NO HOT WATER to take a shower with. Waste of a stay........... Just Pathetic how this chain is still around.
I am fligh attended for AA, the person at the counter today 03/29 I dont know if he is jealous of my job, my car, or he just doesnt like to see me, its my second time staying here to run an errand tomorrow, and his treatment towards me is rude, I asked him and he yelled a little rude words at me, is he the owner of the hotel or his dad? Because I cant find any other explanation, I didnt want to continue arguing but tomorrow when I finish my day at the hotel, lets see who is going to shout the loudest, Im from Venezuela, I dont know fear.
Upon checking out the receptionist refused to refund my deposit,he first told my wife he couldnt see proof of payments we made upon checking into the hotel which he later said that he had seen it and claimed that he wouldnt return the deposit cos my wife gave him attitude when he first said he couldnt locate the record of her making payment(which he later found) and for that reason, he will not give her the refundable deposit...

Please do not stay in this hotel this is not really a hotel. This is a place where homeless people hang around they have little tents all around they sell drugs in the facility. The front desk knows what’s going on people knocking on your door all times of the night, very very unsafe conditions do not stay in this hotel. The hotel is very very not well kept even the people that work here are hesitant to be here very very unsafe place do not book this hotel. I booked this hotel for my husband, who is a truck driver. After a long day on the road, he went to this hotel and tried to check in for the night. The front desk attendant refused to honor our pre-paid reservation and demanded a $50 cash deposit, which was not listed anywhere on the travel website. I mean, who actually carries that much cash these days? So I had to scramble around and find him another place and contacted the travel service, who called the hotel. That same person refused to issue a refund for the unused room. So were out that money plus the money for the other room. GO ELSEWHERE.
I would like to share my experience of staying at a hotel that was exceptionally unclean and unsatisfactory. The condition of the rooms was deplorable, with noticeable wall damage and bed sheets that had not been properly cleaned, containing hair. Additionally, I encountered some undesirable individuals during my stay.Moreover, I was surprised to find that the hotel staff attempted to charge a $50 deposit for potential damages on a room that was already in a damaged state. This request seemed unjustifiable considering the existing issues with the room.Based on these concerns, I strongly believe that the hotel should seriously address these problems and consider taking appropriate measures to improve their overall quality.
I had trouble checking into my room because I didnt carry cash (for security deposit). Room deposit is cash only...The room was a terrible impression. The tiles were upturned and ruined. The bathroom ceiling had mold. There were small roaches here-and-there. The room stench on cigarettes. Overall, the room felt really humid and musty all the time.I needed more toilet paper and bath towels, but they said they ran out...The room did not have a microwave or a fridge.I stayed here without complaining because I was grateful for a roof and bed over my head. But, the experience wasnt worth it.This OYO in this location is for anyone on the verge of becoming homeless (the last option before staying on the streets). Its not for leisure travels.
I wish I read the reviews before booking. I definitely will NOT recommend to any serious traveler. I arrived 2am from a late flight, the receptionist refused to check me in unless I deposited $50 cash, and will not charge my card for that. It was 21°F outside. He even suggested I should cancel my reservation and request a refund. I had to go to another hotel. No where on their website is there such a disclosure
They advertise a cheap room rate and then tell you when you get to the hotel they have to pay a $50 or $100 CASH deposit... didnt have it, lost what I prepaid upfront. Scam of a place not worth anyones time to click on & view.
Zero stars. BEWARE. VERY UNSAFE. I’ve stayed in some pretty shady places in my time, but this one I had to turn around and leave immediately. There were fresh stains on the sheets and floors. Between the smell of the room and the ‘lotion’ on the sink rim, I had to run.I left and talked to the man at the front desk about cancelling my reservation- he stated that there wasn’t a manager that could cancel it now, but there would be there in the morning and would handle it then. I was in such a hurry to leave, I said fine….Mind you, I had booked the place for an entire week-Unfortunately, after weeks of back and forth, this is what I received back:“We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We would like to inform you that as per the system, This reservation is marked as checked out and we have not received any complaint from the guest on the check-in date. Therefore, we are unable to help the guest with the refund.”Since there was no proof I complained and tried to cancel my reservation on the initial day, I had to pay for the full week anyway.

Still waiting on a refund… Would not recommend this hotel to anyone… If you’re into Heavy Traffic, All Types Of People hanging out all times of the night or unsanitary room conditions by all means go ahead… I booked a three night stay unbeknownst of the location and was in for a rude awakening once I got to the property… I was going thru a domestic situation at the time and needed a place to stay , got there and was very disappointed… my kids were on edge due to how it looked outside and inside the room … walked into the first room and was hit in the face by a strong urine smell, the tiles on the floor were turned up around the edges , no working lights in the room … I immediately went into the office and asked for a better room … got into the second room and it was better than the first but still not a very big difference… we did not get any rest , there was heavy traffic all night… the room next door especially, all we heard was the door open and close all night… looked like new jack city of hotels… Pookies everywhere drug infested… called to get a refund due to not feeling safe to stay the other two nights and was told to call back after 12 noon… called back after 12 noon and was given the run around … I was told by Lohiya that they escalated the situation and should hear back from someone within 48 hours…. Honestly I just want my money back… would never forget this moment I’m sure my kids wouldn’t either… this place needs to be condemned and completely rebuilt… wish I had pictures for what I witnessed on my short stay… I checked out and was still charged for the remaining day… and have the nerve to charge a security deposit… Still hasn’t resolved my inconvenience nor has anyone reached out or contacted me about my experience…. Totally different from the OYO in Irving… This place is unacceptable and deserves every negative review it receives…
This was simply THE MOST horrific hotel experience ive ever had. This place needs to honestly be condemned. Ive tried multiple times to reach their customer service line for my refund and have been hung up on multiple times. I tried the nice way of simply asking for a refund but that got me no where. Here we are. These photos were all taken from a room at this location. I HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT EVER stay at this location
The beds had hair on them, the toilet was missing a seat, several flies buzzing around when I first walked in and the room reeked of cigarettes. Only positive thing was the receptionist was very nice and the location is just off of a main freeway going into Houston. I understand that it’s a 2 star hotel but that should mean that there are less amenities NOT dirty rooms. Made my reservation through Booking and requested to have the hotel waive the fees since I was only in the room for less than 30 minutes before cancelling the room and returning the key. Of course they said that they couldn’t refund me because I had already checked in. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $20 a night to stay at a Motel 6. Such a bummer.

They charge a $50 cash deposit but not mentioned on the site. If you have this issue, call you bank and report it as services not rendered and create a chargeback. Show app/website verbiage that does not state cash is required. Quite possibly, they keep the cash deposits and then don’t report the income.
I reserved the room on their website and paid there. When I arrived to check in, I was told that there was an additional fee that wasnt listed on the website. I was given a new room that had no remote for the TV, the room phone didnt work, and when I called the front desk from my cell phone, there was no answer. I DO NOT recommend
Just wanna share my worse experience with OYO hotels and how they are scamming.So I visited the property for my refund of unused nights and the lady over the counter said that only the manager can issue a refund, and neither we can share the manager’s number nor his schedule because he doesn’t have any fixed schedule.Moreover, she told me that no refund will be given even for the unused nights.I was told at the time of check-out that you will get a refund for unused nights!Isnt it scamming????Now please can anyone confirm me, how can I get my refund!!!Original Issue: 11/9/22I checked in and out. I didnt even stay in the room for more than an hour. I requested a refund, but the unpleasant front desk employee refused and the manager would make the call at that time. I received a response from corporate explaining that since we are unable to contact the property and validate the problem, we are unable to grant a refund. You can go to the property and request the refund from the manager.I’m still waiting for my refund to get!!!Hotel evaluation:Everyone was smoking pot since the environment was so uncomfortable.The space was very filthy.The heat in the room wasnt working, and it was really chilly outside.As stated when making the reservation, there was no microwave, iron, and ironing board in the room.No maintenance person.The receptionist was incredibly impolite, unprofessional, and disrespectful. While I was talking to him, he walked away.The clothes were laid out on the stair’s grill to dry.

There were people using drugs everywhere, they would be blocking the staircase really high and there were signs saying the property is not responsible for any damage or theft from your vehicles. Half of the lights in my room didnt work, there was a leak on the bathroom floor leaving a big puddle, the sink splashed you, and it smelled bad. I payed for 3 days and I only stayed 1 and have not been reimbursed for the second 2 days. So I payed for 2 hotels for 2 days because this one was so bad
For the prices you pay, you get what you get. The staff has been very friendly. The front desk clerk has been nothing but funny and pleasant and helpful to me and my two children. My children absolutely love her. She keeps the property safe during the day and her husband keeps the property safe at night. I have nothing bad to say about them. I like that I can come to a hotel and feel safe. As far as the hotel itself. I have a microwave and refrigerator in my room. For the most part the beds are clean, and the the housekeeper for my floor does an amazing job with cleaning my room after my children destroy it, and she provides me with clean towels and linen whenever I need. The remodel may cause some temporary delays and discomfort but the newly remodeled rooms are way better than the older rooms. People just are to entitled and don’t like or appreciate change. Compared to the old management and room, I would say hell no but I appreciate they are trying to make this a better place for the guest. It may be a transition but it’s a great place for me and my children in the situation we are in right now. I like it here it’s like a little taste of home and family when/if you decide to come and stay at the Oyo.
This place is literally a pigsty. The paint inside the rooms is peeling, theres no hot water, and the stairs and hallways smell horrible. In addition, there are people living permanently there, and believe me they were pretty scary. Definitely not a safe place to stay. I checked out before time.
This place shelters criminals. Recovered my fathers stolen vehicle from thier lot. Management was little to know help during police investigation.
A roach infested motel. The entrance photo posted is NOT the actual location. You can even see homeless people in the parking lot and stairs. Cleaning crew try hard but can’t do enough. Walls have holes and the floor has their tiles coming off. And to the management of these motels, you can save the corporate apology and your “we take it seriously” apologies, these comments have been common for this locations for at least over a year so obviously you’re not addressing the problems at all. You should refund my entire stay, I’ve been spraying roach kill and still killing roaches every day. Please folks avoid this place like the plague.
If i could give this place zero stars, i would. the room was dirty, the pictures were very deceitful and looked nothing like the actual room, the police were there searching for someone, there was loud arguments in multiple rooms, people blasting music outside, room was dirty, toilet didn’t flush, i could go on. We weren’t even there 30 minutes before we decided to leave.
Terrifying.The pictures dont match the place, its utterly shaking to see the actual MOTEL.Its literally a different color.It is in complete desolation and Im genuinely surprised such a place is still standing. I turned tail and ran when I saw how absolutely awful it looked.Rotting wood, garbage all over, scary people standing in the lot staring at you, bugs...The area to check in had a window like a bank teller because they had been robbed so often. Please RUN! Dont trust the photos!!
The staff was freindly, very welcoming. The room was clean and had some unexpected amenities such as mini fridge and microwave. The hotel is a very old building and is showing its age but the room was as modernized as can be. The wifi was an issue as it continuoulsy fades in and out, thats a problem for me. Due to the location theres quit a bit of traffit noise which you get used to thanks to the drone of the AC. Those ACs are great too, they get the room nice in cold with no artificial limiting you find at other hotels. Set it to 60 F and will get that cold!

We stayed two nights the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because they gave us a good rate on the second night. I will be finding a better place next time even if I have to spend a little extra. This place is a dive the staff is the worst I have ever encountered not professional at all down right rude. The room had a bad odor, no fridge in room, microwave didnt work when we asked if they could bring a working one they told us to use the community one in the lobby. Dead roaches on the wall NO SMOKE DETECTOR!!! The shower was terrible no pressure had to wait forever to get hot water. The traffic and nosie all night. Something told me when I pulled into the driveway when the first thing I seen was Houston Police I should have went to another hotel! I dont really think this place could pass an inspection to be a dog pound! You been warned stay at your own risk. I kept my fireman with me at all times!
This hotel is extremely dirty and run down. Nothing was cleaned even the white towels had black marks. We saw baby roaches. The appliances are rusted very old and Ive been in better low budget motels/ hotels this is the worse considering the location you think it would appear to be in good shape. Online pictures are a complete scam!
This place and their workers needs to be thrown in the trash. First they gave us the wrong room, and the room had pissy sheets. So we told the maintenance guy and he said, look what do you me to do about it? You wanna stay of do you want to go to another hotel because this isnt the Hilton. Whether was the Hilton or Motel 6 anyone would expect clean sheets. The room we moved to was a little better but not by much. Roaches came out and there was black mold in the bathroom. And my sister woke up with mysterious bite marks on her arms. Throw the whole hotel away.
Disgusting place. full of roaches and cigarette butts in the rooms. wouldnt stay here even if they paid me. I left a few minutes after checking in because I was afraid a roach was going to crawl in my things. the rooms stink, some of the lights dont work and the towels and sheets look they havent been replaced since the place opened. do NOT recommend staying here at all. youre better off sleeping in your car. they also wont give you a refund if you book your reservation online, so if you really wanna check the place out pay once you get there.
The most disturbing disgusting hotel I ever didnt stay in it was so bad I couldnt even check in they kept my reservation money even though they had blood and roaches everywhere it is a hazmat situation not a hotel
My husband and I have been staying here an extended amount of time. We came here bc it is budget friendly. It is quiet (except for freeway noises. You get use to it). Front desk is great and yes you have to put a deposit down, but refundable. Get on the app or book over the phone because they take cash! How convenient. Its an open spaced hotel which are hard to find. I love that because you have more privacy and you dont run into many people, but everyone is nice, minds their business, and thats the way it should be. If you want to stay a few days, a few weeks, or months Its a great option. Just be aware though without a car walking to stores, restaurants is a hike, however there are plenty of restaurants and a bars you can walk to in 5 minutes. We have managed without a car, so anyone can.
When I arrived the man behind the counter asked me for the name for the registration. I told him my best friends name and he told me that I still had a balance to pay. I knew I had seen the balance taken out of my account earlier that day. When I explained that to him, he refused to believe me and asked me to pay the balance. I showed him the confirmation code, my bank statement, and the text message to show that I had paid for it but since he didn’t see it in his system he refused to give me a room. He even called his boss to ask him what he should do and they both refused to give a room.. since it wasn’t in their system! I know I paid for the room ! It took way too long to figure out what the issue was but when it was solved I was able to get me my room for the night. They were really trying to finesse more money out of my pocket ! Be aware of the cheap hotels. They will try to scam you!
When I first walked into the room I realized that it didnt look like the pics online. Roaches were horrible. They were so bad I had to move rooms and the room didnt have a mini fridge in it Almost all the light blubs were out and cigarette burns in the sheets. No shower curtain and when I asked that office for one the told me they didnt have one. Had no trash cans in the room. The shower doesnt turn off all the way either and temperature is backwards. The maids dont clean the rooms very good. The only good thing I can say good about this place is the maintains guy is very helpful and got me everything I needed for the room.

This place is nothing like the pictures, maybe concepts pictures of what they want but hell no!! We checked into a “new, renovated” room for an extra $100 deposit. We walk in and are instantly hit with the smell of old, mildew, and cigarette smoke! The floors are dirty don’t even look swept. The restroom! Smells worse than the room the floors are worse than room. They look like they have dry mud and possibly blood 👀 checked out the beds and the pillows have stains the sheets look no where near washed and one of the beds nearly flipped over when I placed my bag downIf this place is honestly your last choice take your chances but honestly sleeping in the Walmart parking lot would be better 😐
I usually always give a business a review and try to be as generous with my rating as possible. HOWEVER, I would give this hotel a minus 5 if I could. The advertisement about the room being sanitized is a laughable joke!! The room smelled musty and smelly. I couldnt believe the amount of roaches!! They were everywhere! The sink in the kitchen was broken, the wall light above the bed and the main ceiling light were out. All these things were reported to the front desk upon my arrival and nothing was done about any of the problems. I will never ever stay at a OYO hotel!!!
Not in a great area but room was ok first time. No bed bug and clean so thats a plus and the beds are actually comfortable. We come into town every few months for business and only need the room to crash so it worked for the price. The first time went smoothly. Second time was horrible. Even after booking and paying on line. We go to check in and get told they now require a 50 dollar deposit for Old room and 100 for remodel room which is ridiculous. We already payed so no refund. We pay the 100 for a new room which he charged my card 50x2 instead of just a 1 time 100. We get to the room and AC was broken and the fire alarm kept beeping. They move us upstairs to another room that had a females old press on nails on the floor. With I towel in a 2 bed room, I guess good thing we didnt need to shower but seriously sweep and mop the floors. Yhen it took 4 days to gwt my 100 deposit returned to my account. Unfortunately they have lost our business. From now on we will pay a little more for better treatment and rooms.
My father died here in may from heart failure……he was found dead in his room already in decomposition. The police had to bust down the door. I can only imagine what that room looked like with all the roaches that place had! Makes me sick to my stomach! To make things worse they wouldn’t return any of my calls to get his belongings back. I’m sure someone that works there helped themselves to my dead father’s belongings! This place is absolutely the worst most vile place in Houston! Im sure their customers would love to know that a dead body was sitting for days in one of their rooms. I’d rather sleep on the street!
Decent security. Adequate parking lot lighting. The rooms (at least mine) was dirty. Not well maintained. The bedding was questionable. You get what you pay for. Best way to describe it overall all. Grungy.
This is by far the worst hotel in humanity. I am sooooo disgusted with the hotel and staff. First off let me start by saying i arrived at the hotel and I retrieved my room key from the front desk. When i made it to my room , it was under construction there was ladders and tools everywhere and no bed. So i went back to the front desk and explained to the young man he said “oh okay accident”. He gave me another room key but when i went to the room there was blood on the walls , the bathroom light didn’t work and the towels were filthy and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. I went back to the front desk and explained that the room was unacceptable and shows a lack of negligence. For the third time i went back to the desk where the gentleman gave me another room key and when i made it to the room there was a family already inside. At this point i am extremely fed up. I told the person at the desk that they need to do better because how do they not know what available and whats not. Now we’re at the 4th room and this room is a double bed it was a little better. Also this room had a smoking odor but the room was supposedly smoke free. I stayed in this room for 5 days i asked several times for my refund because this room was roach infested and also there were holes in the walls the shower curtain was filthy the tub was disgusting. My friend and i cleaned the room with our sanitizer wipes from top to bottom. The towels were not clean at all they had leftover residue and stains on them especially some black stuff that I couldn’t explain what it was. This experience was so unsatisfactory and not to mention the front desk gave someone our room key and a mother and child walked in on us. Extremely unprofessional and we were treatly poorly.

Basic safety/standard not met.After check in, I’ve turn around the building looking for my room but end up not finding it. No clear instructions where my room is located, asked reception to write down my room number because I can’t find the room but she said she’s not supposed to do that.First entry in the room smells cigarette smoke even though I’ve requested non smoking room upon booking. Smoke alarm tampered with wires exposed.Small roaches seen all over the room, esp the bathroom. 2-3 roaches are crawling the commode when I use it within 30 minutes of arrival to room. Dining table has roaches too, I have to stand while sipping my drinks & fear it might get closer to me.Bathtub not draining well, you will flood your feet while showering. Toilet bowl doesn’t flush well. Complained to reception & asked if I can change the room but Christina said there’s no room available as of October 10. So I requested maintenance to check the bathroom but she said no Maintenance on weekends. Christina from reception is not answering appropriately in some ways, she’s teaching me how to flush a standard Toilet bowl with her answer. The thing is that it’s not always good to deal with toilet bowl that doesn’t flush well. There’s not even exhaust fan in the bathroom.No coffeemaker , hair dryer & ironing, you will get mini fridge, TV & microwave.Since I can’t avail another room, I have to buy boric acid to protect my 4 yrs old from whatever sickness that cockroaches can give to humans. I’ve email traverllergram for a refund for the rest of the day. I’ve booked 5 nights until October 14, hoping my stay will be comfortable but with just one night stay I’m not at ease/comfortable.
The hotel was alright as long as you stay for at least a night or two. The staff on Saturday night Sunday morning was not friendly and that includes the Monday morning staff. The bathtub is moldy and the toilet is not working properly. I have been to oyo mainly in Tulsa and they have much better service there than they do in Katy. Safety and location is a very sketchy place. My recommendation this place is good for a night or two stay and if you are mostlygoing to hangoutoutside. But if youre going here on a vacation your best bet is to get better choices near by.
If I could leave ZERO stars I would. Had a room for four days non-refundable. We completely ran out of toilet paper and towels very late the 1st night. I went and asked the front desk for sone more TP & towels and he said he doesn’t have access to them and house keeping will bring some when they come tomorrow afternoon….ummm unacceptable but okay I guess. Came back on the 2nd night after being gone all day to a room that was still without towels and toilet paper. House keeping obviously hadn’t come by. I went back down to the front desk and was told again he didn’t access to towels or toilet paper. So almost 2 days have gone by with dirty sheets, NO towels, and NO toilet paper. I understand this place is a piece a junk run down hotel but come on…toilet paper and towels are more then necessary and one would think would be provided or refilled, especially upon request. I didn’t get towels or toilet paper till the 3rd evening of my stay and I had to hunt down a house keeping lady to do so. PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!
Hello,The rooms were not adequate for family. There were roaches in the restrooms, the air unit was faulty in one room and in the other three cover kept falling off. There was a large gap in the door frame to the room which made me feel unsafe with my children and when staff placed me in a different room the gap was snake but still present to where insects or snakes could come in. I placed a towel to block entry and couldnt sleep out of fear. I pre-booked my room and was very unhappy. There were also lots of people roaming around that were unkempt and unfriendly. Lots of visitors in the lobby just standing around talking with staff. Very unpleasant experience and I wouldnt recommend staying here.
If there were the ability to give this place a -star, I would. Very, very shady area. The room was NOTHING like the pictures. The floor was worn through, the paint was peeling off the walls. The building is configured so that you can be ambushed on your way to your room. They refused to give me a refund when I did not Stay in the building. I was in the area for cancer treatment and there was no elevators (carrying bags up a stairwell to the 3rd floor), and I did not feel physically secure there. I would not reccomend that anyone stay at this property.
Booking the room was a breeze, unfortunately the stay was beyond poor. I felt the roaches crawl on the bed and floor as I laid, someone tried opening my room in three different occasions in the middle of the night. The room definitely lacked cleanliness, will not be recommending anyone as it is not a safe place to stay, there are a lot of druggies roaming.
Close to bus stop. Front desk extremely professional & courteous. Room was very nice. I cleaned a little extra on doors and walls, cleaned own room for my extended stay. Staff ✓✓s on U every day.

By far the worst experience ever and got scammed in the process! Upon entering my room I was greeted by bed bugs, roaches on floor, bed and furniture, mold and roaches going in and out of AC unit, roaches and bugs coming out of toilet and bathtub, broken tv, broken door lock, holes on walls and the pungent odor of sewage. I go back down to reception and tell guy at front desk that I want to check out that the room is infested with bugs and mold, he goes to the back office and locks himself in, refusing to check me out. I call OYO customer experience which by the way is the worst support ever encounted and all they can say is that it still shows that I am checked in the motel even though I had completely left the property and that there was nothing they can do. They attempt to reach the front desk with the property number and they are unable to reach any one at the front desk to verify my checkout so I can get my refund. the room was a serious HEALTH HAZARD! I have contacted the health department and sent them pictures of what I experienced. OYO support still stating that I should talk to property or front desk but there is no one responding and no one is answering phones. This place and service is straight up from the depths of hell and I will do everything in my power and God given resources to make sure that OYO is permanently shut down so that no one has to be in jeopardy health wise. I had to get covid tested because of the disgusting mess I walked into. I will post this review everywhere! dont let the low rate attract you!!. its a scam waiting to happen because I guarantee you, once you step into that room you will see what a true definition of disgusting waste dump is. DO NOT BOOK AT OYO!!!

I stayed at OYO located on 14833 Katy Fwy Houston TX 77094.The place has a horrible smell. There are small and big cockroaches. Some of the rooms floor and walls are damaged. The internet did not work, the female manager said tower was down. I guess tower was down for several days. No hot water.I will send OYO pictures and video of their rooms. I am never coming back.
The moment we started to get out of the car we were harrassed for money, going up the stairs we were harrased for money. When we got into the room it stank and roaches were EVERYWHERE! We killed all visible roaches then went to check the beds, I moved the pillow and found what is in the picture. I checked out immediatley and did not find another decent hotel untill 2am. I had my 9 year old son with me.... When I was trying to find another room two diffrent hotels told me this place was no good and that a week ago someone was shot and killed there. I have called to try a get a refund but no one will answer the phone when priceline calls them. BEWARE!
Placed looked decent online but when I arrived to my room it was dirty. And let me not speak on the roaches. My A/C was programmed to Stay on 76 and the room was warm wasnt even comfortable enough to sleep I tried to turned down the A/c to make it cooler but couldnt. The Hallways are filthy. The room was horrible. I saw a roach come from behind the bed twice. Everytime the lights were turned on there were uninvited guests creeping. The hotel has no vending machines, an ice machine with no ice. You get what you pay for true but I expect some kind of decency. And there was no remote for the TV.
I would give a negative one if I could. We checked in today and instantly checked out. We arrived at our hotel room and it was FILTHY! First off the entire hotel meaning hallways, rooms, and even the main lobby area STINKS like mold and cigarettes. Secondly, the room was just horrible. The microwave was taped together preventing from it falling apart, the smoke detector was ripped off the wall, and the sheets where mildewy. Thirdly and WORSE OF ALL.. the bathroom had BLACK MOLD all throughout it and when we said something they had a maintenance guy come in spray some chemical that stung our eyes and throats and just left. When we asked him what it was he had no idea. That was our last straw. This place should be shut down it is a MAJOR HEALTH VIOLATION!!
The absolute worse hotel experience that I have ever had. This place was roach infested. Dirty and nothing worked properly. My room was never cleaned and I had to pull my hair out to get tissue from the cleaning attendants. The tv didnt work nor was I able to get wifi in my room. The only good thing about the room was that the air conditioner worked properly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
READ BEFORE BOOKING!! Hands down the WORSE place ever. Elevators didnt work so I had to take the stairs up to the 3rd floor with my busted knee for the entire time I stayed. I asked for another room & they refused. 1st day there, we killed 3 roaches & the walls looked like they had dried vomit. After we spent the day in central Houston, we came back to our room with a ton of people arguing outside. They were blocking the stairway so we had to walk through them as they yelled at each other. 2nd day there, our card stopped working & the front desk was practically closed. My sister had to knock for at least 10 minutes until someone finally came out. They also refused to give us more pillows eventhough we needed more pillows because the pillows we had were extremely flat. I get it, we get what we paid for, but this was by far the worse place Ive ever been to. I recommend you spend a little more $$$ at a better & safer place.

I asked for his name and he would not give it to me. He finally said his name was Ramish and he was very nasty about it. This place needs to be shut down asap.

Here is the situation : I came in and told him I am here for a check in and asked his if I can get a room by the other side not the road because I have a 2 kids with me. He reply to me with no respect nothing and with a sarcastic tons he said ( today is Friday I don’t have any rooms available were sold out) lol which I can understand if you said it politely… and I told him I book today as well Friday and for what I am paying I have the right to ask… and then he. Said okay if you’re not okay with it you can go and book another place when I told him okay give me back my money then cancel the room what he reply was I don’t give it to you and I am afraid that if I gave you my room key you will damage my property 😂 I looked around me your property is a big joke, even the outside smells. Long story short, he showed me a number that I have to call to have my money back. So I went out I husband stay talk to him and he came with the key. My God when we finally get a room of course not the room we wanted, first impressions the room smell smoke, microwave problem, have the sheets was burn it with the cigarette . You deserve 0 start but because Google don’t allow it so that why I give you one start. DON’T EVER BOOk this place was a huge mistake.
Room was horrible, there was a cigar smell as soon as you opened the door, even though it is a non smoking room. There was a burning smell coming from the A/C, and a hole in the ceiling by the bathroom sink. The shower dripped and there were cockroaches everywhere. I talked to the front desk but they said they had no available rooms to move me to. I then asked when the manager would be in because I feel I should be moved the next day when something comes available and be giving two nights free for the trouble, since I booked two nights. The person at the front desk said I wouldnt ask for that because they might just saying never book a room for me again, and also said they werent sure if the manager was even going to be in because he didnt show up that day. So when I go to ask for a late checkout they said it would be a $10 cost. Worst experience, horrible customer service, they only care about the money not the customer. I would give it negative stars if it was available to rate.

For the price is ok but someone shot a man in the foot right in front of my son is dangerous here at night. First room was ok but then hot water went out moved to downstairs room was better as far as amenities however smelled like dog urine so bad I had to bleach floors. We haveno choice but to use this motel but they need better maids, maintenance and front desk help. Needs new mattresses, I changed bed sheets this morning only to see this matress is about 50 years old and stains all over maid did not have a clean matress pad the one on bed does not fit and is filthy. My allergies are on overload.
Excuse me while i pop off real quick. 1st of all, the second you turn into the hotel lot- you have entered a portal to the projects. anything can happen. 2nd and every-other-number of all, the door to our room wasn’t sealed so we got visits from all kinds of bugs. the room was hardly cleaned. i’m talking dirt in all the corners, cigarette filters, a smushed grasshopper smeared on the wall, there was even a nice used bar of soap w hair on it in the shower! all the objects that come in the room were broken or glued back together poorly. the bed came with 3 paper thin pillows covered in blue ripped plastic. we were willing to overlook all of it bc the price is so low, but when it came to asking for new bedding for our 3rd night, the front desk man was so rude and told us we should have woken up early to ask earlier. as if there’s a specific time of day to receive proper hotel service? i told him that and he said too bad, he has no bedding to give me. absolutely dreadful!
Don’t be fooled by the first pictures. Stayed there one night. And will never stay there again. I had my one year old stay there with me. And I did not even let her walk around. My husband found a syringe cap on the floor. Hole in the door of the restroom. We saw 3 roaches. I even hurt my toe on the uneven flooring. I couldn’t wait to check out.
This was hands down THE WORST hotel I have ever went to! Yes, the price is good, but they dont tell you that you are required to put down a $100 security deposit til you get there. They moved us rooms 3 times. The first new room had no fridge but was clean. The 2nd room was Meh and the TV didnt work. The 3rd room had a fridge and a TV, buy it was nasty! Blood on the walls and had a bullet hole in the window with a bullet lodged in the wall among many other things. Dont waste your money!
Hot water is is off and on roaches everywhere ,black mold in the restroom also I don’t have a restroom door .housekeeping sometimes comes ,all the employees at the front desk or rude and don’t do their job well. The maintenance man thinks he’s the boss snatching mail at my hand because he said said people be stealing the mail i pause for a min and said to myself huh 🤔 wowi already know what it’s .I sure did have a couple words with him so unprofessional. Also the prices fluctuate too much. and Needs to be shut down.
This was thee WORST hotel experience, ever...Place is, infested with roaches and fruit flies. The power went OUT in my room, THE 1ST. night we were there.. Then we are woke up to the manager mad banging at the door,, as we did something wrong?!? I paid UP FRONT for 17 days, til our house was ready...WORST mistake, ever! BLOODY fights, GUN SHOTS ALL the time! I felt like a prisoner in my room scared to leave the room. Children CONSTANTLY running in the bathroom to hide from the gunshots! Nothing good about this place, AT ALL!🥺
This is the worse hotel EVER!! We were displaced due to hurricane Ida and I booked this after our stay was up at our current hotel and they didn’t have anymore vacancies. We got there and I instantly thought what did I get myself into. The property did not have good lighting outside. I get to the front desk, check in I should of knew something when I was not asked for a deposit. When I got to the room it smelled like mold and was dirty looking. When I moved the sheets back they were filthy! They had hair, dirt , bodily fluids, burns oh and a blunt. We went to call downstairs but there was no phone so my husband went downstairs and told front desk, she told him to bring the sheets downstairs and he had to put clean sheets on. I called hotels.com and was told I would be refunded to check out and now both Oyo hotels and hotels.com is refusing my refund!
We stayed here for a week. First day it took us about 5-10 minutes to get in our room. Because our key wouldnt work. Mind you, its 100° outside now, so we were really getting frustrated. When we tried to replace the card the guy in the front just swiped the card and said it should work still took us another 15-20 min to open the door. 2 days later we switched rooms, because the TV didnt work, and still had issues with the key.Now were on the first floor, one issue WIFI DOESNT REACH THE FIRST FLOOR. My boyfriend accidentally left my tablet in the room while moving to the new room. I went to the front and asked them if we can go to the old room to check, the guy said the room has already been cleaned out. I said well than someone found my tablet, he said nobody turned in a tablet. I know it was in there. Jerks wont give it back. Room is infested with roaches sheets are stained really really bad. Beds not that comforfable, very thin, AC barely works, almost $50 a night. Yes cheap but dirty rooms. STAY AWAY
My friend and I had booked a room for Friday to Sunday, she had made sure to double check that it was fine that we werent 21 when she booked the rooms. We get there Friday night ready to check in and the night women at the desk was awful. She turned us away saying we couldnt stay there despite their policies saying we only had to be 18 and that her manager told her that we couldnt, which later told someone else that she was the manager. Tried to get proof she canceled our reservation and it was like pulling teeth the entire time sense she kept saying that she couldnt even though she could considering we did end up with proof in the end. Then when we tried to make a complaint to their corporate office they hung up on us. 1000% dont recommend this place.

If I could give this hotel negative stars I would do it the hotel room was disgusting. Roaches where coming out of the drain in the bath tub and mold growing on the ceiling. The door to the room was falling apart and it looked like someone tried to do “handyman” repairs to it. The lighting was horrible. I wish I would of listened to all the older reviews. But I can say one thing good about them the customer service was great when I asked for a refund they didnt argue or anything they said “ ok we will have your money sent back to your card within a few days”.
Stinks like mold and cigarettes. Holes in the wall, rust in the fridge, furnitures falling apart, no smoke detectors or fire prevention, taped together microwave, black mold all over bathroom. We gave notice of the black mold and were originally told we couldnt change rooms. After the excuses stopped they told us if we waited a few hours we could change rooms. During our wait they came and sprayed the room with mystery juice to kill the growing bacteria. It made our nose and throat burn. We immediately left to another hotel for the week.
This hotel was a bit better when it was a Motel 6. Now its terrible. I had room 123 which smelled strange upon entry and is infested with small roaches (that obviously ate away the particle board under the couch). I saw a roach on the bed, too. The refrigerator was broken, and the sheets had hair on them. I saw some granola stuck on the ceiling and wall. There was also a big spider nest thing in the corner of the ceiling. The front desk lady also said that it was fully booked, so I couldnt change rooms.
The worst room i have ever seen in decades, so unhealthy, so irritating, so dirty.. i almost threw up. This hotel should be demolished immediately. It mocks on American lowest standard for a motel. My advice, dont come here please or you will regret ever been born to experience this.
We had reservation on May 18, 2022. The night shift lady didn’t allow us check in because she couldn’t not find our reservation in the system, which supposed to be there! We made reservations week ago, I’m pretty sure she/management canceled it so that they can sell the room at higher price. I booked online by Priceline, told them the issue, Priceline did check & found that reservation still in the system, however, the night shift lady deliberately didn’t let us in. She basically intended to sell the room to us with more higher prices. My family got traumatized by the behavior found there, we stayed more than 1.5 hours at the front desk. The hotel smelled weed , full of cockroaches/roaches, not cleaned at all. The worst hotel in US, you better stay street instead of this so called pride service hotel!
My rating is negative 1000. No water and when there was water is was only child. Microwave didnt work, no phone in the room, awful desk people that refused to offer any resolution at all. Dont waste your money on this dump. It would be more habitable to live under a bridge than stay at this horrible excuse for a motel. Customer service is either noon reachable or incompetent if you do manage to speak to anyone. Ive been waiting a full week now for someone to respond to my initial complaint. And still have no resolution for that complaint.
UPDATE:So the owner of this hotel publicly replied to my original review which can be seen below. There are response to other reviews from the owner too. The response says contact us on the email email address provided. I sent them email and explained the situation, but now they say they couldnt find my booking. I sent them the code, the code that I showed to the hotel when I checked in. If I was stayed at the hotel using the same code, why cannot they find my booking with the same code again? I replied to the email along with the card statement but they replied with exactly the same email they sent earlier. They are just copying and pasting the same email that says we cannot help with the infornation you provided. When they reply to the google review, it seems like they are trying to help, but when you actually send them an email, they copy/paste the same email that says they cannot help. think how irritating it is. What a scam!!!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I stayed at this OYO Hotel Houston Katy Freeway from November 10th to November 15th. When I checked out on the 15th, I asked the staff at the front office about my security deposit and he said he didnt see any transaction about my deposit. I showed him 100 dollars transaction on my card, but he keeps saying it doesnt show in his computer. Later he said you need to come back and talk to the person who charged my card. I was travelling from California and had flight in 2 hours, so I couldnt go back. Hotel customers are not local people. They cannot come back again like in a local shop. What was he talking about? He gave me the contact number and email of the manager, but neither he answers the call, nor he replies my email. I called their customor service. The OYO Experience team says they can see that I was charged 100 dollars, but they cannot refund me that and I have to talk to the hotel. The hotel people tells they cannnot see the transaction and transfers the call to the OYO Experience team. Why was the security deposit not seen when your staff tried to return my security deposit? I was thinking the deposit would come back to my card in a few days, but it never came back. When I call the OYO Experience team people they say the refund was not issued and I have to talk to the hotel. When I call the hotel they say I have to talk to the customer service OYO Experience team. Its a scam. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY SCAM YOU!
Must Have cash deposit. Lobby was closed late at night with ATM. But with doors locked they wouldnt allow entry to use ATM. People hanging outside of their room being loud. I prepaid for single bed and got double beds. Night person was very rude and didnt care.
My husband and I have been staying an extended amount of time. We came here due to the budget friendly prices and they really are budget friendly! Yes, you have to put a deposit, but its refundable. There is a $50 or $100 deposit. Depending on the type of room you want. Easy to book and you can download the oyo app for great savings or call and book with very friendly customer service! If you book online you can pay at the hotel and even cash! Very convenient. I dont have any trouble booking and if you talk to them there are even discounts! Its quiet, and and an outside type hotel so its more private. Bring some earplugs for freeway noise, which isnt bad and you get use to it. Give the front desk a break. They are only doing their job. Staff and owners are great. I have been to quite a few hotels and this the most private easy going hotel, from staff to rooms. People are people so if they are loud then plug your ears. Or enjoy bc thats life and you never know what people are going through. Enjoy your stay, there are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance! Stores are a but of a hike, but we manage! Enjoy!
Extremely dirty. Droppings of something on the Bed. Dirty Sheets. Hair on the Bed. I couldnt take a Shower; very DIRTY Bathtub! I checked in and noticed within Minutes. Requested the Front Desk to change my Room; but she refused! Urine smell in the Room and entire Hotel. This Hotel should be closed down for Hygiene! DISGUSTING!
Hotel from hell this is by far the worst hotel in Houston. All the rooms on the third floor are molded and mildewed do not waste your time reserving a room here. You would do better at a shelter or reserving a hotel in fifth Ward. This place is unsafe unsanitary unclean and not have to code. The health department and other City entities have been out here excited them for many violations. They false advertise online using pictures from other Oyo hotels that is not of this location do not be fooled by these people or their false advertisements do not, do not, waste your time you would have a better time sleeping at a bus stop. The housekeeping staff is very rude, racist, and biased, they do not clean the room unless you are not in your rooms, and do not expect to get clean sheets or towels or toilet paper unless you go and get them yourself.
No bugs of any kind in our room. Its spartan, but what do you expect for $50 a night? I was surprised it had a fridge, microwave, and tv. I wasnt even counting on a private bathroom and shower, but they were there! There were some folks in the parking lot having issues but I packed earplugs. Im happy.

Dont believe the hype its not that bad. The rooms are clean the beds are comfortable and you get more then you would think. For the money its safe and the staff had been very nice. No problems what so ever. Me personally I like this place yes a fridge and microwave would be nice but I see them putting them in as we speak later I can see the price going up slightly. But over all its a nice place to rest your head. And they sale food if you dont have any and lots of places that deliver. Now if you have money to eat out everything you could want is in walking or driving distance. I think they are doing a wonderful job and I will stay here again and they have a outside pool even though its not that time of year but its available if neededThank you and Im grateful for places like this one. I have had bad experiences with places that cost a lot more this is a place is on point compared to some of the big chains that cost more and nothing is much more different then them.Great job keep up the good workIm happy and my service dog was very much welcome also.
Ok option if you are looking for somewhere cheap . You’re paying your monies worth , also they water pressure is terrible the whole time I was here cold water , Roaches , dead roaches in the sheets , in the fridge and everywhere you went it smelled like weed. Front desk attendant is dumb like rocks don’t know what they are doing , floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned . So fair warning when coming
Re: Reservation/booking agents With the exception of the very first and the very last agents I spoke with, communicating with the other agents was horrid. Constantly interrupting CANT UNDERSTAND A WORD THEY SPOKE. I absolutely dreading calling them to extend my stay I was in tears the frustration was not worth the discount. Front desk very accommodating. The first room I had in 3rd floor was FILTHY. urine on toilet seat and down the sides of toilet. Dried feces near the handle. The sheets and bed spread were very diry . I spent my own money for cleaning supplies and spent 2 hours cleaning . There were blood splatters and dried blood on the floor My grand daughter was with me. When I transfered to ground level. The room was cleanas were the bed sheets. Housekeeping did not come in per my request. But very accommodating if I needed anything. Security constantly on patrol in car and on foot. All in all it was doable like Its not where you live its HOW you live Except the reservation/booking agents. They caused me an anxiety attack. I saw 1 dead roach the rooms did smell of smoke but I brought Lysol. There are some shady characters outside.just mind your business , sat in my car in the wee hours listening to music no one bothered me. I seen food being delivered here
The pictures online looks nothing like where you stay. There was no remote for TV which is how my kids sleep in a hotel since its not home. The lights didnt work. Or ac unit it was hot after in AUGUST There are no phones in the rooms.You have to walk outside to the office which is locked. Looks like people live here bc there door decor like its there home and some rooms with people in it have ring camrea looking out the windows. I saw people doing god knows what behind the dumpster.
No microwave, fridge or blankets. TV disconnected. NO hot water. My whole family had to take frozen showers. Toilet didnt flush. House keeping WALKED IN AT 10AM when check out wasnt till 11. VERY frustrating!!!
$100 required deposit on top of room rate. No fridge available. Microwave didnt heat water for oatmeal. No coffeepot. The only guy to get deposit refund from is never around. And they try to pressure you to give cash for this deposit.
I would give 0 if I could. I made a reservation through Expedia and paid online. When I got there I was asked for another 50 to 100. The night clerk ended up telling me it was a bad hotel and it had roaches and the water didnt work. That I had to go through Expedia for a refund. I contacted Expedia and this hotel told them I was a no show and wouldnt give me a refund
I stay here quiet frequently and honestly, for the price, its not bad. Its reliable and has what I need, a comfy bed and a shower lol in the past, no, it always hasnt been the best but over time, Im noticing things getting better. The last couple of stays Ive booked, the rooms have smelt clean as well as were clean upon entering the room. Had both microwave and mini fridge and Im also able to connect my Xbox to the tv using my own HDMI chord. That helps If the cable may be meh or nothings on. Also, every room Ive been in has had working heat and hot water. Yes, it may take a sec to get hot but its cool because thats just how it works sometimes. No, this isnt a Ritz Carlton so dont book expecting that and youll be good. You get what you pay for but im a minimalist so it always works for me. I enjoy my stays here, it can be loud sometimes yes, but everywhere is going to be, its just people being people and its cool. Personally, I think its a good budget hotel and its reliable for me and havent had any major negative issues with any booking.
Cons: room was disgusting, there were roaches, furniture was damaged, pillows were tiny and wrapped in plastic and everything was dirty including the bedsheets. For the love of God, bring your own pillow, blanket & sanitizing spray!Pros: checkin in the middle of the night was fast & easy. The guy was polite. Also the AC worked great, room was cold in the summer so I was able to get a good night sleep which is all we came for so, 2 Stars.

I came in Houston late last night. Went to get a room and drove passed this place going down I-10 so I stopped to gauge a price. I liked the price and was tired so I got the room. When I woke up at 3:15 a.m. to tinkle I was met with a family of roaches. So I immediately packed up. I didnt bring em so I aint taking em with me when I leave. I ask the guy in the office why not just disclose the health of the building before just taking money. Really would love a refund. Disgusting.

I had stayed here in the past but when it was a motel 8 and that was nice so I thought maybe it would be the same. Nothing like the pictures had a bad smell of cigarettes floor had missing pieces its just a worst hotel ever. Had people coming and going all night yelling and on my last night it was about 9pm and their was a room super packed with young under age people having a party smoking weed and the broke the window and the door. On Sunday morning about 6am had people fighting door slamming had enough and just left still needed a bit more sleep but I guess thats the last time I stay here overall worst than getto Ive lived in the project but this is just worst than that never again. I rather pay more and stay somewhere I can rely on my safety.
Horrible! This run-down hotel needs to be demolished and re-buit. Constant noise from the freeway and on-going construction at the premise. Floor is very dirty with a lot of baby coaches at night. The wall is stained with different colors, cant tell either from blood or paint. The Wifi is the worst, on and off most of the time and couldnt get any signal to connect to internet. And the water is on and off without any notice. Not recommend this place to anyone at all.
Due to covid this is the only room I’m able to afford at the moment. Although It’s hundreds of roaches I overlook it, even though the room smells I overlook it; but to not have hot water to shower takes the cake. I go to the office and tell them there’s no hot water and they look as if it’s impossible or I’m lying. They offer me to take a shower in another room, after getting fully prepared to shower that room too has no hot water. After trying a forth room with no hot water I give up and politely tell the clerk I have to hurry and make it to work. No apology was given. I felt defeated. Used and abused. Taken advantage of. If you can afford to stay somewhere else I advise you to do so. I know I’m not the first or only person to report that the hot water isn’t working, but the surprise of them acting as if I’m the only one is more disrespectful than them not offering an apology. I’m truly saddened because I have no where else to go
I arrived to a rude receptionist who didn’t any answers to my questions. Then I checked in went to the room sheets looks it had dried feces on it. I also noted small bugs crawling on the mattress, the floors were dirty they had cigarette burns on comforter and counter tops and night stands. So i immediately returned to the front desk and requested to check out
Nasty room. Bathroom was moldy and the light was not functioning as a matter of fact the whole thing was hanging out of the ceiling. I will NEVER stay at a OYO again. Walls and ceilings were peeling. Holes in the wall were duct taped. Windows were filthy. And this place carries your brand. Poor business. Giving it a 1 only because there are no minus numbers.
The 1st room I checked had roaches everywhere! Baby roaches on the floor and a huge roach on the wall and the room smelled like smoke and mildew. Asked for another room and I didnt see roaches but it reeked of smoke and the walls and counters were dirty. I turned my key in and left without a refund or anything. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place.
The room was not what was advertised. There was no phone in room big hole in bathtub that leaked all over floor. Employees trashed and stole my belongings while there. They .ade me sleep in room with no towels no blankets because they refused to give me any . they only returned half of my items still missing laptop. Tools two phones jewelry. . and not one time did manager speak with me. .nothing was done to make things right. I spent the end of my stay on phone trying to get moved nothing. Happend in fact they tried to charge Ms more and they kept my deposits. I have never been so UN comfortable
FALSE ADVERTISING!! Nothing like the pictures online! I find it strange that this room didn’t have a phone, not sure if the hotel or a previous guest removed it and there was no remote to the tv either lol, this is honestly just a cheap motel with a pretty new company logo using corporate stock photos to get bookings
Roach infested rooms. Room 139 soon as I opened my door roaches scattered everywhere falling off the door the ceiling anywhere the eye could see. Wifi doesn’t reach to your room. Hotel has gone down the drain. Never staying again pure waste of money.
The sheets were dirty, I had to use my own blankets that I had in the car…There was a key card & a book in the blankets that’s how I know they didn’t change the sheets. They didn’t seem to care when I told them. Worse place I’ve ever stayed at.
Ive stayed two nights. My room was on third floor, at the back of the building.The Good : No need to book in advance, Ive just call a couple of hours before. Good for price. Friendy recepcionist. Big parking place. Close to highway and petrol station.Bads: I couldnt sleep well because some people screaming or knoking doors (not mine) at late night. Small crockroaches arrond the apartment. Elevator was out of service.
Negative - I’ve stayed in a cheaper hotel but nothing like this. I woke up in the middle of the night as there’s a tiny roach crawling on me. Room stinks. Front desk was lazy. When I got there After I unpacked my things I was going to lay down but when I checked the bed, there’s a lot of hair (god knows which part of body hair was that). I asked the front desk for room service to request new sheets and she said room service already left and one staff came and told me he’ll bring it to my room, I’ve waited for like an hour and still no bedsheets and when I talked to the front desk (who is always on the phone by the way) she just gave it to me and I told her the guy said he will bring it and she responded he never told her about that (like if he couldn’t come at least it’s a common courtesy to call your guest to pick it up (like it’s already hassle for me to change the sheets by myself). Another question I asked is that what’s their number so I if I need something I don’t need to go there everytime as a response she said there’s no phone and I have to contact OYO if I need something and Oyo will call them 🙄🙄🙄…never ever will I recommend this place. Unless they change management with improvement, this is the worst place I’ve stayed in.
Horrible service the room was not up to par the blanket had burn holes, the shower was dirty, the sink was leaking, and to top it all off there was a group of men loud talking outside my room all night. The little eating area had foot prints all over the seating part and the office didnt care at all about my concerns. It was so bad even though I had booked a 2 day stay I only stayed 1 night. I tried to get a refund for the night I didnt stay they literally refused to give me my money back. Even tho I checked out. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone unless you are homeless.
My first lodge was not good because of the activities of cockroaches. My second lodge was a bit ok but my 3rd stay this week was pretty cool, though its a $100 deposit for a night.
I am not planning to extend my stay. My room was infested with cockroaches and when I brought it to management’s Attention they told me they cannot relocate me to a different room because all rooms are filled which was completely false since more than half of their parking lot was empty, they laughed about the situation and told me that the entire hotel is infested with cockroaches and gave me raid to “help out”. Are usually stay at Residence Inn or Marriot, but felt to try a new hotel since this was my first time in Houston and on a scale of 1 to 10 unfortunately this wouldn’t be a 0.5.

Our room smelled like cigar coming from the adjacent room, roaches, filthy floor and walls. Remote was not working. When i complained, they transferred us to a new room. Room was better, but still roaches and walls are dirty. No tissue rolls.

For the price, it was good, I guess. I mean, I’m not going to go into every issue we had; I wouldn’t mind staying here again, but ONLY due to the cost. It is an average of $45/night and you won’t see that kind of rate* anywhere else in the general Houston area. The lowest* you’ll see is an average between $55-65, so $10-20 off of that isn’t bad. Keep in mind, it’s a one star hotel and you’re paying $45 a night.Like I said, I’d stay again.Plus they have smoking rooms. So that’s a definite plus.That’s all I got for ya.*in my experience
Roach infested, terrible rooms, unsafe location due to the many homeless living right on the property in the bushes, microwave was garbage didn’t work, no refrigerator as advertised, the electric plugs in the walls didn’t, tv didn’t work because plugs didn’t work, literally slept with lights on the keep down roach activity but they still were everywhere. NEVER IN MY LIFE WASTING MONEY HERE AGAIN
I booked a non-smoking one bed room apartment with kitchen and what I got was a small room that stunk of smoke with a bed and table and the tenant next door ( because people are definitely living here) had two pit bulls with dog s**t along the walk-way.I made a mistake booking here, the hotel seemed nicer on the oyo app.If you can afford to stay almost anywhere, please do.
Absolutely terrible. Id give 0 stars if I could. The customer service is terrible, and no one delivers there because there has been history of robberies happening. The room I had was passable, but could have been better. They overcharge for dollar store snacks, and they dont enforce stricter policies on face masks and smoking. Much more you can get with 40 dollars. Dont waste your time trying to be frugal.
Mold was clearly in my room under the bed, the bathroom and powder area all were dirty and had a pregnant roach and one other roach. The staff did not care about my concerns at all, and was very rude. I thought I would be treated better by OYO..... NOT!!!!

When I walked through the door it had a BAD SMALL IN THE ROOM AND THE BUGS.
Avoid this place at any cost. We booked a non-smoking room and got a room that smelled of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, somehow they weren’t able to give us a new room. The bathroom was also moldy.The clientele and atmosphere also seemed unsafe to be around.

Bad bad please don’t waste your money or time I checked in last night and when I was ready to go for my luggage the door handle broke I was locked in for 2 hours I was panicking because no one was answering at the front desk so I called my cousin to let me out he went to front desk to find out they don’t have a front desk number but I left asked for refund they told me to call the Oye number to get my refund since I did reservations online so please don’t do reservation being in a rush like me another thing it’s infested with homeless and drug addicts in parking lot please save your trip please don’t go it’s the worse experience I have ever had and I’m not even joking I’m so so serious.

Arrive at the hotel at 10 pm tired from long road trip could not check in due to power outage. There were several people waiting. Luckily my wife booked through Priceline and they were able to find me a new hotel and book it and paid the difference. If not Im not sure what I would have done.

The air conditioning didnt work I want moved nor was it fixed. A strange man walked into my room in the middle of the night and saw me inappropriate bc the ac did not work lets not mention the roaches. Stayed on two different weekends. 1st was OK. Hot water took 15 minutes to warm up and basic room reekd of fabuloso but price was right. Omg 2nd time should have just slept in my car 100s of reaches. Same water issue. Broken toilet seat and filthy is an understatement. So disgusting... You can stay at motel 6 down the street for the same price and its a mansion compared to Katy Freeeay Oyo. Do not stay here!!!!

Not only was it actually DIRTY ( as in serisous lack of an actual maid dirty) but it was also roach infest, most of the lightbulbs were burn out so I couldn’t see anything and mgmt didn’t have any other rooms available. Great location though! Also oddly enough woken up at 930 am and told we have to check out at like 11?

I wish to give this hotel 0 stars. We arrived pretty late around 12 am and the lobby was dark. The front desk was closed. We waited around but no one came the front desk. We had to book another hotel. But the worse part is that when I tried to get a refund, and OYO confirmed my check in with the hotel, the hotel said I checked in but we couldnt even check in. This hotel is running a fraudulent business. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
I was in luck. The view from my room was so good. A orange bird was coming every morning to make me wake up. Friendly staff. There are roaches coming but its located really convenience place. I want to meet the bird again.
I had been unable to get through your service approaches for 3 tries to tell you that I have never booked or stayed with you. Someone is using my email addressing erroneously (or fraudulently). I finally managed to get in touch with someone at the hotel to tell them, but all they kept saying was Okay. And you keep sending me emails: 6 so far.
This was my first time staying here and I had a bad experience. The room was dirty and had a bad foul smell. The restroom wall had cracks in it. I dont recomend it to anyone to stay here.

Management is rude. Changing prices and removing things listed the rooms are supposed to have. Claiming to have no rooms when website says otherwise. Say they dont do monthly when website says they do. The guy I was talking to (which acted like he ran the place) seems VERY shady and UNTRUSTWORTHY. Told him he already had many bad reviews and he blatantly said he didnt care.
Worst place I ever stayed! I got covid while I stayed there. sheets smelled. No microwave or phones in room. I had no hot water. They never fixed it. N the matienamce man will think of anything to keep ur deposit.online says 290 a week. When I get there they charged my card 350 n 50 deposit that u do not get back. Horrible place u can stay at finer motel for the price.
They gave me a room that hadnt been cleaned. The beds were not made and there was half-eaten food in the room that somebody left behind.
On may 31st around 12:00pm a group of homeless people tried kicking down my door, And after I screamed they said they got the wrong room... there is WAY to many homeless people around this hotel. And the Hispanic lady at the front desk is very rude. I WAS going to give this hotel a good review... now I dont believe they deserve one.
Im here right now, couldn’t sleep it have such an awful smell, the AC isn’t working properly. The sink is super dirty, the tub was dirty, the shower nob was broken, roach everywhere, no trash bin, this place is a joke, save your money, normally I don’t like to complain, but today I just don’t want anyone wasting time and money, they don’t seem to care at all.. 0000
Hotel room was very disgusting. Safety violations. Mold on the ceilings and in the corners of the wall. Room didnt have Smoke detectors. I wanted a affordable room but this is RIDICULOUS!!! DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I never made it past the lobby and I was still charged $124. I guess that was the charge for listening to some jacka$$ tell me repeatedly that I couldnt get a non-smoking room with a mini fridge. Such an attractive lobby for such a P.O.S. motel.

It was horrible DO NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMIES....booked online my check in was supposed to be at 12:00pm Did not get to check in till 2:00pm....when I got to the room it smelled like a wet animal and mildew...the tv did not work...there was no microwave,safe,or even a fridge. I hated it here felt like I was getting bit the property looks run down and the staff offered little to no support..I felt very uncomfortable if I could give this place negative stars I would there is so much more wrong but I would be typing all night DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL LOCATION
The room had no fridge and we requested for a refund for when we stayed there and the landlime for them was disconnected. Found a crack pipe along with a rolling tray under the matteress.
They’re $50 cash deposit is killing their business, customers are unaware of this and trust me, front desk people is not helpful at all.
This has got to be one of the worst hotels Ive ever seen. Why are there so many people outside all time? Why are there tents all around the property? Could there have been any kind amenities offered rather than lying to your customers? This place should be condemned immediately!!!
Scam. Booked over the phone. Arrived and was denied check in saying no rooms available. Never got refunded. Don’t waste your drive and time and money here
Asked for a non smoking room, they gave me a room that smelled like heavy cigarette smoke. I asked for a new room, they gave me a room key that already belonged to another person. The guy at the front desk was super rude.
Stayed four nights. No housekeeping they do not clean. Management would not exchange towels. Would have critters at night. Ugggg.No ice no pool internet broken. Was worse off after staying there
This place is insanely bare bones. there’s a security guard overnight so i guess there’s been a lot of robberies as well so take your valuables inside. with that being said, the room was MOSTLY clean minus some stains and stuff. not enough towels or soap. definitely some major negatives but for the price point it makes sense.
Horrible hotel, bathroom infested with cockroaches. Broken Shower, flush doesnt work. None of the amenities working. Good luck if you still want to go ahead and stay at this hotel.
The staff at this hotel is extremely rude and very unprofessional. I really enjoy using the OYO app but this OYO hotel staff was rude including the owner. I had prepaid reservations at this hotel and they treated me like I was being inconvenienced by staying there. I thought I was doing the staff a favor by not needing housekeeping service but when I went to ask for clean towels and a clean fitted sheet they felt I was out to steal from them even after returning the soiled linen. The staff from the owner on down are extremely rude disorganized and unprofessional. I stay in hotels frequently and this place is pathetic. Avoid this hotel at all costs
The check-in was good a good process. The front desk staff are real nice, but they need to work on the rooms. I went into bathroom turned on the light and roaches and nats where everywhere.

Ive made my rounds of the USA while just a beginning helper barely making enough to stay out of town to being supervision with company supplied hotels. The OYO fits in the working mans hotel category. Although situated far from the industrial sector and nestled in one of the more up and coming areas this hotel housed a large amount of crafts people. And some that were possibly not working due to positive testing of the pee type. This place was alive 24/7 and there always seemed to be a lurker in the shadows. If all you need is a matress with a locking door the oyo is for you. Dont expect much more. But ive seen worse. Thank you for the uneventful stay
The first and last time I stayed there, the floor was disgustingly dirty, the bathroom deplorable, with cockroaches coming out at night, worse than on the back of the bed and on the floor there were also cockroaches. They have to close that place. It is a robbery that they charge to stay there. very annoying
Urine smell everywhere. Worst customer service at hotel and corporate office. Thick dust everywhere during a pandemic. Checked early without refund which was fine. Please SEE ROOM before you check in and make sure you get a REFUNDABLE room.
