I recently had an exceptional experience at Now Massage with Obi as my therapist. As someone who gets dozens of massages each year as a form of self-care, I can confidently say that this was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Obis skillful technique and attention to my needs truly set this session apart. True to the Now Massage brand, the atmosphere was extremely calming, and I felt completely relaxed throughout the treatment. I highly recommend The Now Massage and Obi for anyone looking for a wonderful massage experience!

The Now massage I received with hemp add on felt like the massage I got from my high school boyfriend - mostly hands on skin with no pressure. I’m glad I’m not ticklish or I would have giggled the whole time. I had to ask 2x for more pressure and was told that the now massage was a medium-firm massage and if I wanted deep tissue it was an add on. I told her I would like firm and then received a lopsided firm massage. Movements she did on/to one leg, she didn’t do to the other. What she did to one arm & hand, didn’t happen to the other at all. The only part that I recognized as a massage happened immediately after I asked for pressure in my right hamstring and the time spent on my traps.I had been looking forward to this massage all week. I saved it for Friday so it could help wash a weird week out. Instead, I felt more stressed bc the massage didn’t happen but I spent 80min on a table with someone running hands over me, and even then there were long pauses that felt like she didn’t know what to do next. I’m 99% sure she wasn’t, but it sure felt like paused to check her phone.The whole experience caused more stress than it released. I walked out feeling lopsided and confused about what just happened.I just scheduled a massage with my regular massage therapist to help me unwind from the massage I just hypothetically received. I don’t think I received the typical experience of a client and won’t be coming back for another Now massage.

I’ve had great to average experiences with the massages themselves. The customer service has been average to below average. The environment is relaxing. A little empathy from the staff would go a long way.

Signed up for a membership with The Now and had my first massage today with Cynthia! She was super knowledgeable about the body and its points, and even taught me how to massage/guasha the face and body properly. Overall I’m very satisfied with my experience and I highly recommend experiencing what they have to offer, especially if you’re looking to add some self care time into your health + wellness regimen. OMG! NOW Massage is such a beautiful place. It is a warm and inviting atmosphere that really allows you to relax before the massage begins.I had a great massage therapist who had a firm technique to get the knots in my shoulder out. He also provided advice to maintain my body in-between visits.Also, the staff is communicative and friendly. I plan on being a regular and trying a variety of massages.

Massage was excellent, but the tipping culture was gross. They have a sign posted at the front desk that suggested tip was well over 20% (more at 30%) - ok fine -, then the girl a the front desk asked me if I wanted to tip 40%. I ended up overtipping out of feeling pressured and guilt-tripped. I felt amazing after the massage, but icky after the whole tipping process. The girls attitude at the front came off as entitled. I probably wont be going back.

I love the ambiance here. It gives modern beach vacation with crashing waves for the audio. This is better than your typical spa; its a mini retreat from the day to day bustle. Ive tried two different therapists and both were excellent. Their monthly rate is 80 which includes one massage and you can cancel at any time.

I’ve been going to Juli for over a year now, and she’s wonderful. I love the vibe at NOW. It’s simple, clean, bright, and airy. The staff is always friendly, and it’s so relaxing. I’m a member, and the value is definitely worth it.

Love the ocean sound but disappointed that my 25 minute massage was actually only 15 minutes. First time here , I arrived at 5:30 which was my appointment time and filled out forms, by the time I went to the massage room and undressed it was easily 5:40 at a minimum but the massages stopped at 5:55.. I left a tip and honestly now I feel i should not have because there was no reason to cut my time short, there was no one waiting to be next, place was pretty empty- I can understand if I was late and they were busy but this was not the case.

I really wanted to like this place because its so close to my house and they offer prenatal massages. I booked a prenatal massage, which Ive had at other spas before. I showed up 15 minutes prior as instructed and waited on a very hard bench with no back in a waiting room filled with fake cacti. There was no comfortable seating in the waiting room, which I found odd, but forgivable. My appointment started late because the masseuse was making sure the room was set for prenatal, which meant a ton of pillows tightly tucked under sheets on top of the table, which was awkward at best to try to get comfortable with. No questions were asked during the massage about my comfort or if pillows could be moved and the heated table was extremely hot. The massage felt essentially like having lotion rubbed in for 50 minutes, unfortunately, nothing felt intentional or therapeutic at all. It was almost as if my therapist was afraid to touch a pregnant body. The facilities are tranquil, I liked the ocean sounds they played, but I found the Tulum-aesthetic a little gimmicky, especially with the fake plants and tiny crystals everywhere. Given the price and lack of quality, Ill be going elsewhere in the future, sadly.

Definitely an elevated experience! Emma (masseuse) was fantastic! Technique and pressure was so relaxing I fell asleep! The atmosphere and aesthetics of the spa felt so calm, inviting and relaxing. I definitely recommend!

Absolutely love this place! Everyone is so nice and the space is so calming and beautiful. My favorite masseuse is Boon. He is truly a healer and really knows his work.

The NOW is my new favorite place to get a massage! I had the Signature NOW massage and it was amazing! The staff was super helpful and friendly and the place was a gorgeous oasis. Words cant describe how cool it is inside so I included pictures. Didnt hurt that its in the center of The Heights with an awesome ice cream shop on one side and a super cute boutique on the other. This is my new destination for a fun and relaxing day out.

The personnel is amazingly benevolent, I truly appreciate the way the treat the guests. Massage was also awesome. Perfect place to heal your body and mind!

Darn it! I wanted to like this place. But they under deliver for the price. No amenities. A little bit of tap water.The music in my room was a little loud I think we were under the speaker. It’s open concept so there aren’t any amenities but it’s a step up from Massage Envy but it’s not the Post Oak or Houstonian.I found parking ok but leave a little early for your appointment as they don’t have dedicated parking.I had to wait to be checked in so my appointment started late and ended on time so of course I didn’t get the full 80 minutes I booked.My therapist was good. I have a tiny pet peeve about male therapist with hair on their arms also using their forearms but I should’ve asked for a female so I will own that.They also towel off the massage oil as they go but with a rough dry towel which just seems odd. It’s not even a warm steam towel. .Here is the reason for my 2 star rating. I booked thinking my price was $110 for an 80 minute massage. As it turns out because I’m not a member my price was $145…still not bad. BUT when I arrived to my appointment as other guests were checking out they were being invited to join and offered the member pricing on their visit. For some “reason” that option was not even mentioned to me none the less offered even after I repeatedly asked were there any options for new members. Maybe I’m not membership material. So with my heat add on $15 not sure that was worth it it was only for the last about 5 minutes of the massage instead of throughout plus gratuity I still paid almost $200, it would’ve been a great massage for $110 lol!

I had an amazing message today with Luke. I have a great deal of tension in my shoulders and upper back and felt so much better when I left thanks to Luke. He listened to my areas of concern. I scheduled another session which is something I rarely do.

This was my first experience getting a massage and will not be my last. The team here was amazing. Camryn at the front immediately made me feel welcome, offered advice and went over all the services with me. Jenn was great! I felt comfortable the whole time and she made sure that I felt at peace even with few words. I would Highly recommend this beautiful studio!

I love coking here for a luxurious massage. Staff is friendly and each masseuse have skills that gives each massage a different experience. I’ve enjoyed each masseuse I’ve had since I started going here. And it smells soooo good in here and the bed are comfy with the warmers. Coming here is definitely a vibe.

This was my very first massage at The NOW and I can’t say enough about my experience! When I entered the boutique I was happily greeted by Angela - she is incredibly friendly and inviting! She promptly checked me in and had me complete a few electronic forms and before I knew it Jackie was whisking me away to the back to prepare me for the incredible experience that awaited me! The massage area is breathtaking and truly transforms you to another world. Jackie briefly consulted with in this quaint little sitting nook about my problem areas, needs, preferences etc. before taking me to my cabana style massage room. I chose the NOW signature massage with deep tissue and hemp calm balm add-ons. I can’t say enough about this combination if you suffer from stiff neck and shoulder muscles like me due to daily laptop and phone use. It was the perfect concoction! Jackie was very attentive to my needs during the entire massage - at one point I started to feel congested from laying face-down (a common problem for me) and she suggested a re-position that was an absolute game changer! I will do this for future massages!I left feeling relaxed and recharged … it’s one of the best massage experiences I’ve ever had!I want to make mention of The NOW’s retail line - they have a variety of oils, balms, room elixirs, jewelry and their signature hand-poured in Los Angeles CANDLES! They have their signature scent, Jasmine Coconut which is kept continuously lit in the boutique and Santal Tobacco. I purchased Santal Tobacco - the scent not only filled my entire downstairs but what I love most about their candles is when lit the wax melts into an oil you can dip your fingers into and use anywhere on your body - cuticles, arms, legs, feet! The scent is divine! This candle is like no other!If you are hesitating making an appointment, DON’T! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The therapists are amazing. But the company is plain gross. Expecting clients to pay almost 30% tip (the card with tipping suggestions is at the counter) so that they can get away not paying decent living wage to their staff. Exploitation at its best.

It was my first massage ever! A friend booked it for me and said its on me just show up! The check in was easy and quick. The ambiance was so good. Luke asked and was attentive to what I needed to feel relaxed. It was amazing!

Worst massage I have ever experienced. I would’ve considered that massage more of a “body rub.” I even kindly communicated with her what I wanted and her responses were, “I GUESS!!” And she proceeded to not do what I asked. I’m surprised the front desk asks us to fill out information about our “wants and needs” on the iPad for the masseuse to see, because it doesn’t seem like she read any of my requests at all. Won’t be back!

I get massages here every month or two and every time is wonderful! I love the atmosphere, the ocean sounds, the heated massage tables, and every masseuse I’ve had has been great! NOW also supports local schools and regularly gives back to the community!

I love the cool attitude of the South Beach style layout of the massage spaces. Its very zen and relaxing. You feel like youre walking into a stylish hotel.Ive only gone a couple of times so Im still figuring out who is going to be my go to masseuse, but both have been good.

I found them on IG and liked what I saw. Made an appt and OMG I was no disappointed. I loved the atmosphere and scenery. So relaxing and the girls in the front are so friendly.

I love the now! I have been a member for a few months and going once a month (or gifting the monthly massage credit to friends/family) has been such a treat! Such a peaceful atmosphere and all the employees are so professional and kind.

I really wanted to book something for a group of people with them but they have THE WORST customer service. Completely unflexible ! They could have very well gotten a great deal of sales done in one day . The person that responded was narrow minded, kept repeating the same things over and over again, did not work with me to figure something out for my party. Its a shame, I was thinking of even getting a membership and using them in the future for more massage parties. I can only imagine how they behave if you are already a member!!!! TOO BAD!!!!!!!!

Love the ambience, cleanliness, customer service, and services provided by The NOW HEIGHTS location. Had the honor of Vanessa as my masseuse and it was hands down, the best productive experience. I went in with a crick in my neck and she worked out all of the kinks! Gentle yet persistent, I feel re-energized and left relieved in my most problematic areas!

Today was my second time at the Now, I had a prenatal massage with Shea. They do well to create a positive peaceful experience from the moment you walk in the door. The staff is warm and friendly and offers a cup of water and to show you to the restroom before your massage. When it’s time your masseuse comes out to take you to your room in the back. Lots of white noise machines, ocean sounds and low lights to make you comfortable. Shea is incredible, very attentive and definitely knows what she’s doing when it comes to a prenatal massage. I would definitely go back!

Vanessa was fantastic! The deep tissue massage was like none I’ve had before - it felt like I stepped into a massage cocoon and came out transformed! Ariel and other lady from Scotland at the front desk were delightful. The attention to detail of this place is like none I’ve encountered before and highly recommend checking out!

I went with my mother and it was a bummer that they don’t have a room to hold Teo piel. With that said OMG YOU NEED TO GO! I make it a point to go an get a massage and this place is a vibe! I love that there’s an ocean sound all the time clove the low light ambiance. The add ones are also kinda like oh more money to spend lol then tip too but I picked two extras the scalp one was amazing. I’ll be back for sure.

I truly enjoyed the escape and relaxation that I received during my visit. When I arrived the most wonderful person was at the front. The concept is really different than other massage places and I feel that the menu was explained to me in a way that I was able to pick a unique massage experience that addressed my individual needs. The therapist met with me before and I simply cant wait to go back!

I had a great experience at The Now Massage in the Heights area. I got a sports massage with Boon and he was awesome. I felt so good afterwards and decided to give my husband a gift card as Christmas’ present. His experience was also positive. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely LOVED my massage. I have gone to Milk & Honey, the Houstonian, and many other spas in town to get the perfect massage mixture of relaxation and tension relief. This is the place! Finally found my favorite spot and it’s also affordable compared to other spas. Will be returning soon!

What an incredible and relaxing experience. My massage therapist was John, he made sure to ask me my massage focal points and what I was there for. It’s important to me because I do have previous lower back pain. John was able to give me a full body massage (including lower back) without causing pain. Can’t wait to go back and try the small add on options they have for massages. Location is great. If you are going during peak lunch hours I suggest showing up early as heights and 19th street are pretty busy. The front desk especially Ariel where so helpful. Also I got a small candle as gift since it was my bday. The spa is clean and smells beautiful, they have scents, candles, balms and more available for purchase.

This place is the definition of beautiful aesthetic but not up to par services. I booked a 50 min massage, my therapist was late and my massage still ended at the original time. The facility is freezing, how can I focus on relaxing if I’m shivering. No heated massage tables :( I don’t think this place was worth the price. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the girls at the front desk, they just said sorry, have a nice day lol that’s crazy to me, nothing to make me feel better or even consider giving them another shot. I left with a headache and my massage was mediocre. Oh and there are no sound proof walls between the rooms, you can hear every little noise, which defeats the purpose of a relaxing time. Parking is also annoying.

The NOW Massage is a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Easy to choose what I wanted with no pushy sales clerk, booking was a breeze on-line, parking was plentiful, and facility had a beautiful modern Zen feel/vibe to it and was very clean. Receptionist was friendly and Therapist very knowledgeable and skilled in delivering me a comfortable and enjoyable massage. I will definitely be back!!

Lukes massage was amazing. I really enjoyed the aromatherapy at the beginning/end. The setting is very unique! Luke checked in on pressure, really focused on my sore shoulder then gave aftercare tips. Much appreciated Luke!

Massage was okay. Not sure what I’m paying 105 for… you’re all in the same room with a sheet dividing you and other people so instead of having a quality intake, we were more concerned about being quiet as not to disturb other people so while I got a good massage, it wasn’t what I wanted due to no communication.Instead of music they played ocean waves on repeat that when it restarted there would be a period of silence. It was kinda awkward.

Massage with Boon was very efficient and effective on my body. I felt pain but it didn’t hurt working through my tight areas. I was able to breathe better, the pressure was perfect the entire time. I didn’t feel rushed at all. The Stretch massage was therapeutic and I left feeling lighter and having better posture. I wasn’t congested and the pain in my chest and shoulders was decreased by 90%!!!! Highly recommend The Now Massage & booking with Boon.

Went to The Now on 12/17/22 and mannnn 5 stars! Service was lovely! Paid for The Now 50 min massage with Calm balm and deep tissue enhancements. I had my massage with Manios- and she was nothing short of phenomenal! She did such an amazing job, I cannot stop bragging. I sit in front of a computer for 12-16hrs a day so I had major knots around my neck and upper back. Woke up today 12/19 feeling like a million bucks. Also, s/o to Anne for the great lobby music (Solange Knowles is always a major W!) and speedy checkout. Thank you ladies for the wonderful experience

As a runner and a cyclist, I suffer the occasional overuse injury. The massage therapists at the NOW (especially Jeremy J) have given me greater relief and helped me recover faster than any physiotherapist or chiropractor ever has. Plus, the atmosphere is beautiful, but vibe isn’t at all pretentious, like it can be at many spas, which makes it easier to relax. I recommend this place to EVERYONE!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided it was time. This is definitely the best massage Ive gotten in Houston. Nothing about this experience was a disappointment. If you are thinking about trying this place out, just do it!

Where to start?!? I went to bed last night with a migraine. Woke up feeling like I’d been hit in the back of the head by a 2x4. I spent the morning on a heating pad and trying not to be sick. But thankfully I was able to get a short appointment.The main thing was that at the end of the 25/30 minute appointment, I felt SO much better. So the results were there.Along the way, I was in a beautiful place (photos cannot do it justice). Everyone was friendly and helpful and kind and genuinely cares about wellness.Cannot wait to go back!

I recently visited here and the management had very rude demeanor with a group of AA people that entered while I was there. It was as if she didnt think they were good enough to be there. The place is beautiful;however how she talks to people is not beautiful at all its actually cringe worthy to watch her pretend to appreciate their business especially when you witness the way she speaks to certain people differently. This place is not inclusive or POC friendly BEWARE!!

Forbid if you are late for your appointment. You are penalized and docked time off of your services but expected to pay the full time. My appt was for 5pm an I arrived at 5:05ish. I was running about 5 minutes late for my appt due to heavy traffic. I called to let them know. Once I got there I had to complete electric forms which took another 5 mins or so. When we got ready to go back to be serviced is when we were told that it would only get 45 mins instead of a full hour of service. We were never given an option to reschedule or shorten our time. I felt rushed which made my first time experience horrible. I felt so cheated and will never return. For this to be my first time I should have been able to receive options. The clerk at the desk could only tell us that she has a script to follow. Very disappointing. BTW...you can only book an appointment via your credit card.

Diana is the go to for a relaxing Swedish massage. She works out the knots while whispering to them. When you book be prepared for your brain and body to melt.

This was hands down the worst massage experience Ive ever had. The masseuse seemed completely disinterested and barely put in any effort—it felt like she was just going through the motions with no real technique or pressure. I came in with high expectations, but left feeling more stressed than when I arrived.To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns with the manager, they were dismissive and outright refused to waive my membership renewal, despite the poor service. It’s clear they care more about squeezing money out of customers than providing quality service. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and go
