Went for new years and a table costed $250. That was crazy to me considering they werent even private areas or even elevated. It was amongst everyone else dancing around. They also played old school dancehall and reggae and barely current music. But then again I noticed that with all other clubs around. Dont get me wrong, some of school are bangers... Anyway, other than that still had a good time. Will go back on a regular day n see what its like 👍.Got me an Amaretto Sour it was good! Costed me about $11
I did have a good time, but I was highly upset to find that my card was over charged for $52.44 when I only had 4 $5.00 drinks which only come up to $20.00. That is not okay to be overcharging people, I want my money back. That was the only negative for me, other than that I enjoyed myself. My advice is bring cash, don’t give them your card.
Me and hubby decided to check this out on a Saturday night 04/29/23. Parking was easy peasy. We felt safe, no cover charge at that particular night.Great drinks. Mixed well, great customer service. We love Reggea , Only thing I didn’t like is the DJ changing songs even before i burst a move😂. We’ll be back for sure.
A group of my closest family and I visited here Mother’s Day weekend. We had a ball the MC made sure to recognize the amazing women and moms in the building. The vibes and music was everything. The drinks are definitely money worth. (Blue Long Island 🤤) No drama or fighting.
I decided to visit here on last Friday. When I walked in, there were many people dancing and enjoying themselves. There was someone having a birthday party there as well. They were having a great time. From my understanding, you have to order a bottle in order to sit in a booth. Many of the booths were empty. People were standing around and you may be lucky to get get a seat at the bar which stays crowded as well. I ordered a drink called Skittles from a server named Eric. He charged me $14.32 total for the drink. I ended up ordering two more of the same drinks while I was there. I only paid for one, being that someone else paid for the other one. I ordered the same drink from Jojo and she charged me $16.18. Now I do know math and I dont understand why the drink was almost $2 more than the previous ones. I dont like people trying to get over on me. That makes me think that more of the bartenders are also altering drink prices. I hope that the owner addresses this issue, because now Im very skeptical about ordering drinks from this establishment.
Did they close down? I hope not although it doesn’t get extremely packed it’s a vibe music is 🔥 drinks are kool hookah is solid i mean it’s a real chill spot i enjoy my only complaint is it’s far from my house with that being said i still go twice a month 💯
I don’t recommend this place. The drinks are nasty and overpriced. The male bartender act like he knows it all. Can’t make a simple drink. Went in wasn’t even crowded. Couldn’t order food. When you’re on vacation, there are better places in Houston you can spend your money. This isn’t it.
Was here last night, club has been renovated and expanded. Looks awesome. Best service possible and no cover charge. If you love Dancehall, reggae and R&B music, this is the place to be. I wish the Dj would talk less and play a song for atleast a minute or so.
Not really my age group. I was looking for a place for over 35yr olds. Most of the people were under 30. The drinks are strong so you get your moneys worth. $5 for a bottle of water is a bit high but you dont pay a cover charge. The dj was ok. He would play songs for about 1 min before switching to another song. There was no food so eat before you go.
Drinks and Atmosphere A1 !Im mad I didnt get the servers name. Overall the space, music/Dj, space/parking was definitely worth the time!
I had a really good time here; I came in September with a group to celebrate a birthday . Very nice area to party ! Table service was good! Atmosphere was good! I know where to go when I come back to Houston.
This is my new spot! The only downfall is it closes at 2am, besides that, no complaints at all. Nice crowd, pretty mixed but more women, which is a plus to me! Drinks arent bad, reasonably priced, music jumping! Highly recommend!
They are cutting/watering down their alcohol! If your shot from the same bottle you have at home taste like a whole other alcohol & slightly sweetened, there’s absolutely no denying this fact. Why are yall playing with people’s alcohol & charging regular prices?
This used to be the spot for good reggae music and late night finger foods well up to 2am(I went to regain that experience)... I was highly disappointed when I arrived a bit after midnight to a close kitchen and a significantly emptier than memory crowd... Ill have to go check em out again during the day to make sure the food is still good at least... till then this is a no no for now
The venue is nice, but the dj is so annoying. He talks too much, you can’t even dance or vibe to the music. he plays a song for one minute and talk the entire night. So annoying people want to dance and listen to music. Get a better dj man Cho!
The Jerk Chicken was so delicious! The DJ is fire. But my whole experience was ruined by the rudest, most unprofessional waitress Ive ever met. Not sure why my sister and I were greeted with so much hatred from our server at the bar. She literally got mad when we would order food & drinks! Worst waitress ever....I wish I knew her name because the other waitress were awesome! Beware of the big butterfly lashes and a upside down smile 🙃
Food was decent. Slowly started to crowd around midnight. Limited seating. Service/waitress was very attentive. Drinks around $11/$12. 90% hip hop. Non-smoking.
This was the wackiest Reggae club I ever been to. I called the club before I went to make sure they play reggae and theY said yes Saturday is primarily reggae night. Me and my 🇯🇲 crew went out to b saddened by the poor American and watered down dread music. That was played.I even went and asked the dj to play some reggae he played a few watered down tracks me and my crew left . Words to the wise don’t name your club Jamaica Jamaican if that’s not your culture or you don’t represent it KILL THE DJ BUMBBLCLOT
I visited on a Friday night, and there was a fun crowd. Music selection was good with an exciting mix of afrobeats, reggae and hip hop (American and African) tunes. It was fairly easy to get drinks as the servers and bartenders were noticeably attentive. Bar seating is limited, and sections are available for purchase. And if you have to stay on your feet, dont worry, the upbeat tracks from the DJ will have you dancing the night away. Parking is free, and there was no cover charge during my visit.
This place is so close to my house. I am new to Houston but heard this was the spot back in the day so I was really excited. Cons...The Bartender was EXTREMELY RUDE. She started off really nice. And she made the drinks strong. But she over charged us twice ( made an announcement $5 shots and she charged us $20) and actually gave me back the wrong credit card....yea, she GAVE me someone elses credit card. Once I called her on it, it all went down hill. She actually didnt believe me about the shots and when she asked her co worker they told her I was right. She never said sorry, she threw my friends change on the bar. I have actually never been treated so badly at a bar. PROS....The management was really nice and the music was REALLY good. Thats the only reason why I still gave it 3 stars. I made a promise to myself that I would no longer spend money at a spot that did not respect me but I will give this place one more shot. Good ole school clubs are hard to come by. I just wont be getting anymore drinks from the Hispanic girl at the bar. I dont know her name or I would have referred to her in a more professional manner.
My first time in texas, and Jamaica Jamaica 🇯🇲 surely made my experience worth wild 😜. Cant wait to go back. Great music, vibes and drinks. Super fun place.
This place is like a swap meat. It is beyond crowded. The day I went only 7 people had on mask, yes 7 out of HUNDREDS. Dont get me wrong the DJ is great. I used to frequent this spot regularly pre covid so it is a decent spot. Beware there is a super duper rude bartender named Manny. He needs to redo his customer service training because hes horrible.
Only rating 3 stars because the DJ flips back and forward between songs WAYYYY too much and frequently. Like as soon as you get into 1 song hes changing it. Bad transition between songs. Other than that, atmosphere is good.
Google shows it opened at 9 got there and it opens at 9:30. Google said they serve food, got there the kitchen was closed. Another lady was disappointed the kitchen was closed as well. I drove 45 minutes for a complete let down. Not sure if I’ll try back or not.
Music was ok! But, DJ was inconsistent. Hookah we got was burned out as if they handed us someones old one.Drinks were in fact watered down!
Great relaxed environment! Drinks and food are on point! The bartender Tamesha is excellent. Great personality. I dont mind tipping her. She has excellent customer service skills! Very friendly & and most importantly attentive.😊👍👍👌👌👏👏
Something strange about this place. So I ordered two beers and 2 Red Bull $31. Next go 3 drinks (jack/coke) and a beer $68. This explains the free admission. Go somewhere much nicer with more room, pay a cover, and get better drinks that are worth your hard earned penny.
Great food and good music but the drinks are way too high. Be sure to pay with cash and dont get mixed drinks bcuz you will be charged EXTRA for those things!
I do not get out much, and this was my first time out like that in YEARS, mainly due to (social) anxiety. I was reluctant to go to Jamaica Jamaica on a first date (after a movie,) but decided to take a chance. The night was still young, after all. Although it is not the biggest place, it was not packed like a sardine can LOL. We had space to walk, dance, and even get to the bar and back with ease. The atmosphere was very cool and laidback. I was surprised and thoroughly pleased. Nothing about this place triggered my anxiety. I even danced a little. They had a dancing contest at the end. Very entertaining!! Nice, secure, and enjoyable place for the Grown n Sexy crowd.
The DJ was TRASH!! Do Not go to this place! The dj talked whole time. Didn’t let the music play more than 5 seconds and talked during the songs. Drinks were extremely expensive! Won’t be coming back!!
This is an amazing venue to host a party the atmosphere is like non other. From the drinks all the way to the DJ its fantastic! If you want to feel like your at a Jamaican party in Jamaica stop bye this is the place to be!
If the DJ would let the song play more than a 10 second intro Id give yall 5 stars, dope place with good folks enjoying fruits of there labor. Come on DJ let Dat slap😊😊
Good reggae party vibes always. Carries a decent crowd. Food is also decent when restaurant is running. Very well known in Houston.
A fun girls night out...Never fail with the vibesI love going there and dance all night. Waiters on point with taking care of you. Reggae, Soca, Afrobeat, Hip-hop, R&B.
Back in the day when I was clubbing 25 years ago , Jamaica Jamaica was the spot to be when they were located on Kirby and Richmond. However, times change people change. May be new owners. But, they made good drinks. We didnt care about all that other mess. The Bartenders attitudes meant nothing. Besides, they werent giving us rides, paying our bills, nevertheless, we werent taking them home. As long as the music was right and the drinks were tight, we partied the whole night! New millennials - generation want everything perfect their way. Wake up call. Welcome To The Real World!!! You spend your money elsewhere and get ripped off without knowing it. Sadly, those are the ones disrespecting you and ripping you off at the sametime- retailers for example. Just get yours and dont worry about attitudes!! Sincerely, Old School Knowledge.
We love it here and have become regulars. The drinks are always amazing and we love the hookah every time we go. The best part is the dj and the energy of the people. Everyone dances, including the men which is rare as hell. No one is too bougie or just sitting around poppin bottles to be seen. Fridays are more chill and Saturdays are the hypest. Caribbean, African, and a mix of hip hop/bounce music are played all night. My ONLY issue is that they close too early. Wear comfortable shoes cus youll be dancing for hours.
Great place to party.. Stays live, parking lot is always packed. Drinks are ok but expensive.
Maybe I didnt go on the right night or maybe its not my vibe but I was expecting soca and dancehall and it was 90s hip hop and reggae. Luckily its not crowded and no one one smoking inside so you get a lounge vibe which is nice
Much to be desired to the point where they should take Jamaica Jamaica off the wall and rename it Houstons. They would do better. Ive been to plenty a dancehall scenes and I can say with surety that it is no longer dancehall when Riddims are played 30 percent of the time and hip-hop and R&B 70 percent. Did I have a good time? Sort of. The place was packed for sure, but music is music. If I had known that the ratio was that bad, then I would have sought a better R&B club. This was a let down for sure. The food didnt even show up. You cant go all out on dancehall music 30 minutes before the club closes. Thats like playing slow jams to get people out. Its bad when the DJ has played hip-hop and R&B for so long that he has to tell you when he is going to play dancehall. Not Caribbean at all.
While I was visiting Houston, I needed some dancehall music so I contacted them thru IG. The lady Tish who ran the IG page really took care of me. She Made sure I was taken care of by Paul. the music was what I wanted to hear and dance to. I wished I havent gotten there a lil earlier so I could enjoy myself even more. I was a lil late getting there. Overall Great experience. Next time I go there I wanna try the food. I love Jamaican food.
Good place to hang out and dance and have a few drinks , however was approached by this guy apparently he was the security who was supposed to be at the door but told me inside the club to remove my wave cap because theres a dress code in effect, if youre a security guard it should say so on your clothes .
I had alot of fun here and danced all night! Drinks were good too. Next time Ill try the food
This food was so beautiful and delicious. OMG I remember this club from my youth, in a different location. I never knew they had food. Ate it so fast that I forgot to take a picture and it was sooooo good.
Nice place but use cash not card was over there weekend 21st nite and i looked at my card $179 pending to be transferred ...just to let u know am on it dont steal times are hard yes nice place but dont steal ...i called my bank already...$166 plus $179 for drinks only dont mess with my money nope
My whole NYE experience was ruined by the rudest, most unprofessional waitress Ive ever met. Worst waitress ever....I wish I knew her name! The customer service is very poor
My trip to Houston was disappointing until i got to this place. The vibe, atmosphere, drinks, hookah,.everything was perfect. It made my whole trip better.Highly recommend 👌
Nice atmosphere however the food was too pricey and not a big selection. Oxtails Rice and Gravy, Jerk Chicken and Meat Pies. $25 plates
For a place that should be playing Jamaican music they sure play a lot of everything else but Reggae. This was VERY annoying to me. And the DJ didnt know how to mix either
Great little Caribbean hangout. A little bit of home in Texas. Unfortunately the meals was not as good especially for the price that was charged. My jerk chicken was dry and hard.
Good crowd, high drink prices (especially since they are either cutting the gran marnier or giving you a complete different liquor than what it’s supposed to be).
I had a great time! Music kept me dancing all night! Although the seats were limited, I didnt seem to mind.
Nice place , good music, nice 2 big bars hookah, good looking woman, will return soon….
Nice Music, not too crowded you actually have dancing room lol. Drinks and bartenders are awesome. Not too pricey and free entry.
Went on a Saturday and the music was inconsistent. Take me on a journey not jump back and forth. Had no regular seating. Only reserved
Simple fun, good music.I always enjoy going there.Drinks can be very strong if you are not use to them.
Missing JJ right now, can’t wait til we can safely get back to dancing and having a good time. I wonder if the dj is doing any virtual parties right now. I love Jamaica Jamaica!
The waitress would rather smoke hooka and text than work...I dont normally write bad reviews but the service was awful, my friend and I sat down and not one waitress acknowledged us, and so I go to the bar and the bartender had to finish her text message and I was right behind another customer, the music was why Im giving it a star...
Great Place to visit and enjoy reggae music 🎶. Im from indy visiting but Ill be back 😉
Was in town visiting. Had a great time. Great staff great atmosphere. Had so much fun
Jamaican food was amazing! Music and atmosphere fun, energetic and friendly! Drinks were well made and prices are very reasonable! I will be back!

Great spot to turn up in, but drinks werent so good. But still had fun though.
Very fun atmosphere for a perfect getaway that brings back good memories of the music that you grew up listening too.
The atmosphere was wonderful, they had great music but overall we had the best time for our visit!!!

I enjoyed myself. They have a good dj. Play old-school reggae up to current. This is what I been looking for
The food 🍲🥘 is extremely delicious. If you want to experience the genuine island 🏝️🌴 Caribbean / Jamaican 🇯🇲 flavor in Houston go here 😎
I love Jamaica Jamaica! Thanks so much Honorable brother, Paul Melotone is bringing rub a dub back to Houston Texas and he put Houston Texas on the map as the Party Town USA!Lots of love from the man called OBI!Obi Chukwu
Not a bad bar. Music was alright this weekend. Liked it a lot more when i went in November
Nice diverse crowd & music. Drinks were decent. Overall a good atmosphere.
Been loving Reggae since I was 6 years old and enjoying Jamaica Jamaica at the old local since I was abt 20 years old. Glad they are back opened
Nightlife. Clean. Music good. Bar is over priced! 4.00 for a soda? That comes out of a bottle and not name brand
Go with cash. I went there and someone tried to buy an airline ticket with my card. Just be careful. Oh, the food is amazing. Just go with cash in hand.
The vibes were so awesome.... definitely coming again...plus no cover charge😎
It was such a vibe! If was too crowded and the DJ knew what he was doin!!
My first time here.... It was great!! I loved the music and the whole vibe!!
Let me say this, I found my new party spot!! We actually stayed until the club closed!!! It was so much fun.
Decent, not to many people but the ration of men to women is 3:1,which is always bad. The women also come out there with no intent on mingling.
Nice place to go Reggae dancing...Crowd dresses nice...ladies dress...not typically casual...slightly upscale, but a fun adult crowd...
Drinks were on point!Vibes (music) definitely on point! Food on point! Enjoyed myself fully! My new Friday hot spot!
The girls are rude, customer service is very poor. Bartenders don’t know how to make drinks.
Fun lively entertaining space. Food is delectable and spicey too. Will absolutely be back for a second and third and fourth..... visit
It was a nice vibe! Love the music, Drinks were on point! Just what I needed!
Very good dj on Saturday nights. Reggae joint with some hip hop mixed in. Very friendly bartenders and waitstaff.
