Downtown Ollys

I got some food, it wasnt very good at all. Order a sandwich and a side Caesar salad, did not get a side Caesar salad instead I got some lettuce with some diced tomatoes, diced cucumber and ranch dressing. The pesto sandwich had pesto flavor but no other flavor. Soggy bread. And like I said, it really lacked flavor. It also took something like a half hour to have it made, and theres barely anyone in there at the time.My friend got the fried mushrooms, they were soggy. She also got fish and chips and again, no flavor, soggy, I really think this place needs to revamp the menu and their cooking methods. They play too much on being a place for gay people, thinking that is going to carry them all the way through. No, you got to get your food on point!Edit: I totally forgot to mention that the bathroom they have is absolutely disgusting! And its falling apart.

Looooove this place staff and customers are the bomb .com Vick is the best bar tender EVA love this man hes alway on his game and he takes good care of you always. Every establishment would benefit if they had a Victor on staff . Fyi im so pissed they took the spring rolls off the menu. Wings were undercooked. No celery, no carrots, took 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. I understand when you’re busy, since I’m in the service industry. But, at least say “I’ll be right with you” & the food should be cooked appropriately. I raved about this place. & I will never come back. Having to ask a bar back to get a server or bartender for service when multiple groups that came in after us were served first? & non edible food. Unacceptable.

Ordered food. It took forever to come out and it wasnt even busy. Then when got it it wasnt good. The fried mushrooms is like they microwaved it ate a couple and trashed it. Fish and chips the fish had no flavor and fries were soggy. I dont see myself coming back again

UPDATED REVIEW 08/17/2024 :::: The owner of this place has decided to not allow patrons to go outside smoke , not smoking designated areas , thats the reason why I am revising my review below.If you a smoker , dont visit this place , you wont be able to smoke . Once you are in , you can not come back out otherwise youll be not allowed back in . Hire security so you can stop those drinking in the cars . But you wont be in business for long with those redundant rules . Cause you just lost me as a regular . I am a regular patron here but not coming back ever again. Sucks because I love the bar tenders staff . They are awesome but they aint making money either with your crazy rules.Place been looking dead for the last few weeks because of that .If you want the best service experience come here , let Ms. Tina or Michelle serve you , they will make you feel at home with best friends. Ive tried almost everything on their menu and never can go wrong with their food .

Other than the obviously overserved customer that wouldn’t leave us alone this seems like a Cool comfortable little spot. Food on the combo basket was really just all frozen low quality stuff. BUT I would go back again to try the breakfast since I’ve heard it’s great. Nice enough staff .

Stopped in for a drink, bartender McKenzie sucks and has no customer service, i sat down with friends and she avoided asking me if i wanted a drink but my friends she asked if they wanted a drink. Im going to avoid olleys if shes working. Shes more of a karen. Never again.

That Ryan guy is pretty incredible, be sure to stop in and ask for him. He is reputable cook throughout downtown…. He is known to get tipped more than a server on some nights.

Tina is the best. She always makes sure my hashbrowns are extra crispy!!!!! I go there late night for breakfast. And I go because of Tina!!!!💜💛❤️💙💜💛

We tried to order food, they said it would take 45 minutes (way too long to begin with). We waited over an hour ans a half and still never got food. So go for drinks, not food.

Okay , you guys need to change , restrooms are disgusting, obnoxious people like the guy Chris talking me to death and violent.Food quality went down.No space , too crowded, no area to vape at all. The only fun nice is karaoke night every other time is boring .

Went for trivia on a Thursday on the patio. Best most interactive, mobile ran trivia Ive ever experienced. Come to PLAY. There are many groups who are regulars. Super recommend based on that alone. There was a decent amount of free parking when we arrived, but beware it probably gets super crowded on the weekends. Anyway service was ok, food was excellent. The fried green tomatoes and house remoulade were fantastic, chicken tenders too. Both had a thin batter and were very fresh. The drinks were strong so beware, but decent prices for sure. Not many beer option. I felt extremely welcome here and had a good time overall. My two complaints: I had to ask our waitress if she was bringing my tenders because they were clearly forgotten about. That’s always a bit of an awkward interaction for someone like me. And the bathrooms are simply gross. Smelly, wet, etc. Definitely need some attention. I will definitely be back and would certainly recommend.

The wings are horrible they are not hot at all just get a drink idc if someone recommended you to try the food just don’t i could only eat two wings and no i did not take a bite out that third on over there chicken is not even breaded

Easily my favorite place in Indianapolis. SO fun. Recommend karaoke. The drinks are STRONG so be sure to pace yourself!!!!! Cannot emphasize that enough!!!!!! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Clearly have the patrons best interests in mind. Order the pineapple mimosa its really good. Oh and the fried mushrooms!!!!!

Terrible experience all the way around. Place was empty and still took 25 minutes to get a poorly cooked frozen burger. All while a man seated at the bar yelled on his phone. Would advise sending your time and money elsewhere.

I cant recommend downtown Ollys. A simple answer as to why is that I was legitimately heckled by a drunk at the opposite end of the bar named Brian. I was not looking for any trouble and did nothing to warrant the ire of this (blatantly intoxicated or inebriated individual) other than to swing in during my break from work dressed in my work clothes. This place is not friendly to professionals and I recommend going elsewhere as long as the staff tolerates people like this... your hard earned money is conditionally welcomed, despite the fact you directly support the working class and are a public servant.As a member of the community, I will not return and voice my dissent to fellow individuals. Do better.

Server was amazing, food was delicious (fried green tomatoes!!), drinks were great and a good price, karaoke was so much fun to watch! Highly recommend.

Super hostile environment at times . Used to be very gay friendly and welcoming to the business class , not the case anymore .. I almost fear going here late at night . Intoxicated peopleJust cannot seem to control themselves these days and need to do better !

On January 30, 2023 - I spent a few hours eating and drinking and opened a tab on my credit card.When time came to leave - I finalized my tab and was issued my receipt which I have with the total of $49.39 to be applied to my card. Upon reviewing my bank account - I discovered that my card was actually charged $98.78!There was no justification for charging my card for more than the actual bill. This is theft. The Servers name on the receipt is; Victor T.Im informing the public about this in order to possibly prevent it from happening to others if this is a recurring practice at Ollys?I have not been back. This incident left a bad taste in my mouth about this business.

Service was awesome. Called in and spoke with a server and they were so kind, friendly, gave me their suggestions.When I came in to pick up my food, they all greeted me and even the person who took my order greeted me so happily. I ordered the Full order of Biscuits and Gravy.. granted it was around 7 pm, but I was craving breakfast food... but when I got home.. the biscuits and gravy were not served on biscuits, but hamburger buns..If I wouldve known that, I wouldve ordered something else because the rest of the menu looked great. Service was 5 stars but food was 1 star for me. If I were to go again and order biscuits and gravy, ill order them in the morning and Im sure they will be fresh biscuits.

Passing through town for a few days, this was the only place open at 1 am serving both alcohol and food, so my friend and I said lets go! Got there, the staff was more than super friendly, the food was great, and the alcohol was STRONG (or we were lightweights). Either way, we loved it, went back the next night having the same experience, and would 10/10 recommend and go again!

First impressions are everything and at least for myself they made a perfect first impression. The waitress was a pure delight, sadly I didnt catch her name but regardless she made my morning with her personality. I got some breakfast and a order of green tomatoes especially for a to go order of mostly side food the flavor was beyond adequate, their breakfast potatoes were among the best Ive had from a restaurant. I will definitely be going here for drinks with friends very soon.

Used to love this place, eat there constantly, and always felt welcomed but the service has really gone down hill in the last 6 months or so; especially on carry out orders. No one greets you or even acknowledges you when you walk in (servers would rather dance in the middle of the floor or sit at the bar with their heads down). Twice now, my food has been cold when Ive picked it up and over cooked (super dry tenderloin one week, chicken tenders the next). Last Sunday, my friends waited at the bar for 10 minutes while the waitress ignored them. Eventually, the bar back (Topher) came up and took their orders. Hes been the only friendly person in the last few visits. Where is Johnny and Kat?!

My favorite late night bar in Indy! But our server tonight, Michelle ruined it. We went to Domino’s but it was closed so we ended up going to Olly’s. Michelle gave us menus then when we told her that it’s for take out, she seems to lost her interest. I think she assumed that we’re not going to give her tips. We waited 15 minutes then she came back, she told us it’s going to be a while as she has to run few orders and she told us to go the bar to order. Me and my friend were shocked. She came back after 15 minutes to take our order, I told her to don’t worry, we will tip her then she became nice again. After giving giving her a generous tip, Michelle said “thank you very much, can I offer you water while you wait for your food” we refused “I’ll be back with your food as soon as it’s ready”? 🤣🤣. Disgusting!While waiting for our food, we saw her chit-chatting with other customers and on her phone while our food was at the bar waiting to be picked up 10 minutes ago. My friend got annoyed and went to the bar to pick up the food.We understand the waiting time, we understand that you guys are busy. What we don’t understand is her attitude towards us. Is it because we ordered for take our or we’re Asians. It was really funny she instantly changed after we tipped her.

Had a long work day… decided to get my GO TO meal the Super Bowl to feel good before bed… super sad that i made this order to go… got home and theres NOT even ONE piece of thin sliced steak on it like its supposed to have… i used to look forward to eating here…If u didnt have steak you couldve said something SIMPLE.. smhWont be back

Only one waitress, one bartender, one cook on the Sunday after pride. All the televisions had the Roku screensaver or the Roku main menu. We had to explain to the waitress had him make sloppy tots which was on the menu! This place is just not what it used to be.

Ended up here after a bad experience at Gregs. Definitely the better spot, serves food and doesnt try to treat their customers like escape convicts. Appreciate you Ollys.

I always try to come here to get the breaded tenderloin. Food was good. However, I didnt like how slow the service was. It took almost an hour for our order to be taken. 30 minutes for our drinks. I wasnt trying to be there for 2 hours for a meal. Had I known it wouldve taken that long I wouldve went somewhere else that had good tenderloins. I only come when I visit family and friends in Indiana. I will give it another try when Im up from TX again maybe next year, but I was really disappointed in the service.

This is a great little restaurant/bar that only the locals know about. The food is fantastic and the decorations are fun and quirky 👌🏻 They offer a full menu 24 hours a day. I eat there frequently and have never had a bad experience. If given the opportunity, ask for Savannah to be your server. She is fantastic!!!

It was fabulous, let me talk to you now, there is this cook on overnight named Ryan I think everyone to head over at 11pm and have him cook your food…. Your just wasting your money if he isn’t cooking it

Its the only restaurant open 24 hours a day in the downtown Indy area. The food is good, but they get pretty busy after everything else closes so it might take a bit. Not ideal if youre in a hurry but the staff is great, the prices are great, and they have an awesome covered outdoor area with a projector. Great place to hang out with friends late on a Saturday night

There is no more apologizing for this place. It used to be one of the go tos for the community. But the last 3 times Ive been here it has smelled like a dirty deep fryer and tonight I sat for 45 minutes before being asked to order. Other tables also were waiting for food that were here before we arrived. Once or twice I can see, but its obvious the management does not care about service anymore.

I have not had a bad experience here other than the fried green bloody Mary yuck food is awesome place is always neat and clean server is friendly and awesome. This is my favorite place to go after working the night shift liquid Marijuana is the best drink for me.

I love Ollies, even after theyve changed management. They really up did the place. Food is still delicious. I get the same thing every time, cheese balls and chicken strips! Shelly is the best. She knows my drink as soon as I sit down. Great atmosphere. Nice chill spot, especially if you dont mind the LGBT community.

Absolutely vile. Ordered a grilled chicken Caesar wrap on doordash, arrived with no chicken. I received a tortilla with lettuce inside and NO Caesar dressing? The lettuce was also heated up, which was confusing and gross. The sloppy fries had meat on them in a red sauce that was extremely sweet.. almost seemed like they mistook the salt for sugar. Will never order from here again and most certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone else. Sick.

Patrick is fantastic! Ive had him several times as a server and hes always attentive and wonderful, but above all other things hes kind. Hes truly an asset to the Ollys team. The food is great. I cant recommend another 24 hour place more.

Would love to give this place a 5 star but unfortunately I can not right now. I love the food and atmosphere. But Shannon, one of the waitresses/bartenders, has made this an unbearable place to go and enjoy a meal and drink. She has put her opinion out where it really doesnt belong and honestly offended my partner and I, and then today told my partner there was no bar ordering and nobody was allowed at the bar. Then allowed not one but two customers at the bar, one of which was served at the bar. When asked about it in a very respectful manor she got very hateful and somewhat vulgar and started cussing and being very unprofessional. Because of this I seriously doubt I will be back. I go to ollys because of the good people and food. Unfortunately now one bad apple will keep me and most of the people I know from going back. Such a shame.... maybe if she wasnt there making it such a drag I would be willing to go back and leave a better review. But for now 2 stars is all I can allow.

The food was good and affordable. The service was fine. My only complaint is that it took a long while to get the food when ordered. Met a friend for lunch and we were late getting back to work. Its a convenient location so Ill continue coming here. If you come for lunch plan for 1.5 hrs or more.

HONEST REVIEW- these other reviews gotta be fake, Or gassing for its success because I ordered food and payed 16$ for a shrimp basket for poorly fried shrimp and only around 7 at that thrown in with a handful of terribly overcooked clam strips. The chicken is horrible, like its all mass grilled in a old oven so it all has a burnt after taste without being burnt. The sauces except the fancy mayo taste like the most generic version possible. This food left me hungry, mad, disappointed, confused, and sad.

Ive been here many times and i usually get an ollyburger....but its always over or under cooked...past three weeks i came in and a guy named Ryan i believe was on the grill...made my burger perfect...it was cooked like he knew what he was doing

Unfortunately this was the worst visit Ive ever had for breakfast at Ollies. I no longer live in town so its been a while but it was always a nice place to hit for breakfast, especially after spending the night in town for good concert and some great loacal beer. We each ordered a very simple breakfast but after about 20 minutes we had to ask about it. They lost our tickets so the cook didnt prepare it. When it did finally arrive, mine was edible as Im not as picky but neither of us had the breakfast prepared as we had ordered it. The staff was nice but not quite as friendly and outgoing as I experienced last time. They seemed very preoccupied as if the restaurant was full which it wasnt too busy at all. Not sure what has changed but my friend did say there has been some turnover and possibly a new owner. Whatever it was, it missed the mark from when I was there a year ago. Coming to town for another concert on Tuesday but will definitely try a different breakfast locale.

The food was good , but the waitress took forever and so did the food. It was not busy in there either. They brought sausage instead of the ham I ordered. They did make it right, with a nice big slice. Over all not to bad excluding the service.

Its food you want after a night out and at a very good price. Atmosphere is fun, breakfast is mostly fantastic (watch out for the biscuits, though), and the server last night, Savannah, was on top of everything! I love going on karaoke nights too, everyone has a blast.

Cozy little bar right off of Central downtown Indy. Went for brunch, their omelette was packed, the biscuits+gravy serving was large, and they had well-made mimosas. Also, very friendly bar patrons. Overall, highly recommend.

Theres been a definite decline over the last few years in quality and service. I miss the drag shows. I miss the $2 wells. I miss Eddie. I miss when it was such a great spot for Friday night drinks. Now its become a little more shady. Prices have gone up. Service has gone down. Still an okay place for breakfast or a drink. But not the amazing place it once was.

The fact that this spot is open 24 hours is really the only thing saving it. The menu has a great variety, theres something for everyone, but quality isnt uniform. I cant imagine really liking my job either if I were serving or cooking at 4 am for a bunch of drunk people; however, dont expect much from the service or quality control.**BE WARNED that you should always be mindful of your belongings here. After work I came in for a drink and had the money I just made (over $250) stolen from my purse at the bar. It wasnt a busy evening by any means.

One of my favorite local spots. Unique and creative decor yet no snootiness to be found. Staff is always friendly, prices are great, food is great. I love camping out here when I have a big project due!

Our first time here, we went for lunch. It was great! We had the tenderloin which were good and the service was great! I wish I knew the bartenders name (she worked on 2/20 about 12:30pm) but she was on it being the only one there. We will be back!

As soon as I walked in this woman aggressively carded me before I was able to sit asked me what I wanted to drink and never came back. There was only one other table in there, we sat uncomfortably as she stood at the bar and talked seemingly avoiding us. We never got a chance to eat.

This bar is always fun! The staff treats everyone like family! The bartenders will suggest drinks and food that are fantastic! If youre looking for the best fries and chicken in town look no further. The fries are crisped to perfection and never frozen. Their chicken tenders are flavorful and moist.The clientele embraces everyone. Being at Ollys is like being at the best party in town!

Im currently sitting by the bar with a pepsi after driving up from the Louisville area to see a show, and at midnight Im eating a fantastically tasty breakfast and listening to various stages of inebriated people singing karaoke...yeahhh, yeah...five stars kids.

While the service was awesome the food was horrible no seasoning on anything I went with 5 people and everything was bland...I had the Superbowl and it was so dry and bland ask for over easy eggs and they came out over hard and all I wanted was to break the egg and let it run all over the food but nope so I brought it home and hopefully I can revive it IDK...had the wings as well and they were dry, over cooked and no flavor at all! Heres a thought why not put a few good items on the menu that you do well instead of a menu with 5,000 items that you dont cook well at all....probably wont be back because of food not service

This is the best pub in town. Great menu, service, atmosphere, daily specials. You really wont find a better place to be.Edit: The above review was true when Ollies used to make things fresh in the kitchen, kept staff longer than a few weeks, had the right blend of kitch on the walls and hadnt raised prices across the board. Unfortunate changes in the last couple of years.

I have been going to Ollys for over 20 years now and have never had a bad experience....until the other night. The service was prompt and friendly as usual. Me and my brother ordered a half order of fried green tomatoes, order of chicken tenders, sloppy tots and 2 side house salads. The sloppy tots was on POINT as usual. The fried green tomatoes seemed as though they might be frozen and they was thrown in the grease without separation them, so some was stuck together and when we pulled them apart it was a mushy mess. We did manage to salvage 2 and they had absolutely NO FLAVOR!!! Major let down. The thicker chicken fingers still appeared pink so we only ate the small ones. The drinks was STIFF!!! Because this is one of my favorite places, I will definitely be back!! Hopefully the food is back up to the standard im used to receiving .

Tried something different, 7 minutes from downtown, paid for priority delivery with Uber Eats but it took an hour. Food ice cold and not palatable. But we were hungry and its late. Not likely to try them again. Fried mushrooms frozen and from a bag. My pittie wouldnt eat them. No onion rings, no side Cesar that I paid for.

My spouse and I ordered from the basket menu, sandwiches and fries took about 45 minutes to get them and they were not busy with kitchen orders. Another table who had been there longer than us complained about how long it was taking for their food and the server told them she didnt know what they were doing in the kitchen but they werent getting food ready. . Our sandwiches werent good, I had the Stromboli and very little of it was on the bun, most of it was between the bun and the french fries. There was no seasoning at all for the Stromboli and the bell pepper and onion pieces appeared to have been added after as they were cold and raw.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! NO judgements! Friendly folks and karaoke! O yes some of the best singers for a bar. This is a very diverse crowd, they serve food that is super yummy, breakfast or dinner anytime of day. Great place to meet new people of different lifestyles.

If You yes you go to Downtown Ollys and Victor is not your waiter then you are not winning. This man is the bomb dot com fr. He waited on my crew and i with patience and a general kindness in his heart. Sometimes you just know when your in the presence of awesome ppl and he definitely was that awesome person tonight. He consistently checked on us but not in a bug-a-boo way. We all had separate orders and he didnt mess not one of them up. My ONLY COMPLAINT dont even have anything to do with him . Im highly upset at the fact they got rid of that thai peanut sauce that sauce spoke to my soul and paired so perfectly with their spring rolls. Hearing it was gone left a small hole in my heart. The spring rolls definitely wont hit like they used to without it. I love this place and im blessed to live two blocks from it. Its not just the food but the atmosphere and when you add a Victor to it, its like a cherry on top of an amazing Sundae. Every place needs a Victor on their team. 💙💙

As a vegan in a city with limited late night options, I fully appreciated the attention to detail of my order and the attention to detail in the service of my veggie burger. The waitress listened to my special instructions and 100% delivered. Absolutely delicious.

Downtown Ollys is not what it used to be. When I first moved to the city, this place was a fun, queer friendly establishment with great food and amazing service. Under new management, this fixture of the Indy gay community is a shadow of its former self. The restaurant is always understaffed any time of day, the servers always seem stressed out and overwhelmed, and the atmosphere is decidedly much less fun. Ordering food is a nightmare, with wait times of 90+ minutes for some simple fried staples. Ollys used to be a great place to wind down the night. Now its a chore to come here.

Just what I needed for late night cravings. Garden burger was perfectly grilled (not microwaved)and the delux fixings were crisp and fresh. The Mac n cheese was good, Ive had better. The taste of the mac overpowered the cheese. Salt and pepper would have helped. The tator tots were still hot when I got homeWill definitely order from Ollys again. Great value! Filled my belly without emptying my wallet!

Just left a bit ago... Had one of the best times ever. Hilarious workers who can make you laugh and food was delicious. Plan on making this place my go to 3am insomnia food. French toast was amazing and there are good people who treat you right.

Downtown Ollys has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and the food is great! This is the perfect place for a midnight snack (as theyre open 24/7) or any other meal. We ate there twice doing our two-day visit to Indy. Also, a shout out to our waiter Brandt -- great service. Thank you, Downtown Ollys!

Went there after work with 2 friends and had a wonderful time. Drinks great. Prices good and the food is to die for. Also felt relaxed and will go back. When I left, I took the wrong turn and ended up in the bathroom. Oops.

THE place for members of the lgbtq+ community to grab a bite after bar hopping. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming, but some of the patrons were drunk to the point of harassing others. However the food was tasty after a night of drinking, and wasnt that expensive. The atmosphere is like a campy diner from the 80s, pretty fun.

Ollys has always been a go-to for me. Great crowd at all times, fantastic staff, great prices!In all honesty, I was a big bar guy and was out all the time. When we were locked down due to Covid, obviously, I wasnt out at all. Now I think Ive become a hermit! 🤣 🤨😥That said, I am so anxious to get out again and Ollys will be my first stop!!

Great food, poor service. They ran out of Jack and owners lock the cabinet so bartenders cannot access additional liquor. Food service is extremely slow despite being great food. New owners seriously need how to run a place. Either that or they want such poor service its main clientele will not return. Very Very poor management.

Ive been going to Ollys regularly for late night breakfast for over a year now and the food was always fresh, hot and really delicious. I must agree with the past reviewer though. For about a month, the food is not up to par. It is luke warm at best and not prepared as ordered. I know the bartender has put in the order correctly as I get the same thing each visit and he already knows what I am ordering when I sit down at the bar. I wonder if there is a new cook or cooks that lack proper training. I hope it gets better because I love Ollys.

Downtown Olly’s is always a blast!The food is pretty good especially for a late night bar. The staff is amazing and welcoming. On some nights, they have events like karaoke or something similar. Also, the food and drinks are pretty cheap and strong!

If I could put a negative star I most definitely would. I’ve worked in the restaurant business before and customer service. This used to be one of my favorite places to go to, but not anymore. I’ve had problems in the past with the service but not nearly as bad as the other night. I would NEVER think to step food into that place again. Consider my business else where.

Probably the worst meal Ive had in years! Eggs Benedict made with powdered hollandaise which would have been fine had it been mixed enough to hide the gritty texture. home fries looked and tasted microwaved-werent browned at all. Although apparently its the only place open late night so they obviously dont worry about competition... Dennys and waffle house has better food!

Regardless of your preferences in people, Ollys always seems to have the most entertaining mix. Speaking of mix, their drink prices help make anyone entertaining and to help curb being sloppy, they have really good food to boot. Its always been a fun time, every time Ive gone!

Service was terribly slow.took 20 to get drinks. Decided NOT to eat since it was 45 before the waitress showed up again. Months later service is STILL VERY POOR! If youre at the bar you get served. If seated it can take 45-60 minutes to get food.

I’m in my mid 60s; and I may be gay but as a general rule my idea of a good time does not include gay bars.This one is different. A refreshing lack of attitude; friendly staff; food which is OK (if you want “wonderful” there’s Iaria’s or Greek Isles down the street); quiet enough where you can have conversations but interesting stuff going on each night. I think my favorite is Tuesday night’s jazz night. It’s just a pleasant atmosphere with nice people who, by and large, treat each other nicely and with respect.

There was a party of 4 of us. We sat for 10 min before someone aprouched us then the drinks was slow from the bar had too ask for our salads then they were out if the dressing we ordered and the waitress did not know, I think it can us more wait staff and over all maybe the owners could over see it skittle more.

What a great place to have a great meal. Delicious food and this place is clean. The servers are excellent, super friendly and upbeat. It is a must go again place!! Great parking and it is free to park... BONUS for downtown!!

Server was great. Food was mediocre, while it is primarily a bar, hearing patrons cursing at one another across the bar as employees laugh about it at 1:00 in the afternoon...that was enough we wont return or recommend it.

Well, I have to say the service this time was impeccable altho I did fail to get out servers name. He greeted me promptly which is the first time thats ever happened. We are dart players and while the machines are the absolute worst location possible with a steady flow of rather eager bathroom traffic...Normal, Idv stereo-typically say for the generally well hydrated bunch that frequents this establishment.

Went there with some friends two weeks ago and paid my tab. Two days later I check my bank statement and they double charged my card. Went from $50 to over $100. Was a fun atmosphere but wont be back.

Been going to Ollys for years. Tonight they had a really obnoxious crowd yelling for hours. They werent card carrying friends of Dorothy either. If it had been my first time to Ollys, I wouldnt go back. As usual tho, the food is decent.

I dont drink alcohol anymore and Ollys is no pressure, Alex the bartender is amazing. His smile and demeanor bring a great positive energy to the establishment.I am a little concerned about the food Qaulity. I do believe they need a certified chef and not just cooks. But it is consistent, I will go e it that!

Food is always good, but the people and atmosphere are the best part. All very friendly and the bar has a very friendly, almost hometown bar/diner sort of feel. One of my favorite places.

Very chill bar that is open 24hrs a day. There is seating at and near the bar itself, or there are booths and tables on the other side of a room if you prefer more of a restaurant feel. Good music, and friendly staff made the experience very enjoyable. Their food was well priced and was pretty good. Better than what I expected from a bar at 1am.The décor is really the downside. It is a very minor downside, really. The decorations in Ollys are very eccentric and kind of tacky. Sort of like leftover Christmas decorations meets Mardi Gras. Nothing crazy, but if I were to give the place a negative comment, it would that.

I love gay friendly places.This is my most favorite bar for good food and drinks. The food is served as restaurant style and bar style the drinks are strong and they have a great variety. They are wonderfully priced as well. (Very reasonable) Shelley,Nick,and Johnny are the best bartenders and survers. By the way ask for them i can asure you will have an amazing experience.

I am so sorry for the way I acted. I had too much to drink. I have the upmost respect for the bartenders. And servers. But to the man that decided it was OK to wish death in an accident upon me and my husband.... we did not die, we are just fine, i respect you and your loyalty to this bar and its owners. I am truly sorry for my behavior.

Just ordered from doordash from here and it was horrible. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap which I paid extra for bacon on it and no bacon. paid for cheese to be on it and guess what no cheese either. Hardly any chicken or buffalo sauce and the lettuce on it was not edible it was soggy and old. The only thing that was edible was the tatter tots.

The place is clean and the food is good. The staff are fun. I’ve had lunch a few times recently and it has been great!

Got a tenderloin asked for everything on the side including the cheese (gf likes everything Im a plain guy we were going to split) and came with everything on it. I informed the guy and he took it back just to move the condiments to another box leaving the cheese on it. I then asked where my French Frys are and he said I didnt order them when in fact when he repeated my order it was included. My lunch is now done and I go back to hungry and money wasted. Such a disappointment. Thanks

Went there for lunch today , I thought I go in because it didn’t seem busy . Got my food and was not satisfied with it at all ! It was cold and I didn’t have time to send it back because they took too long bringing it out to me . My sister ordered the loaded fries and the cheese was not melted all the way . They brought her a new basket of loaded fries out but it looked like it had been stuck in the microwave. I was not pleased . With what I had either

Only got food here, but it was very good bar food. However, I think they need to bring back the blue cheese sticks. I wanted to try those for years before I finally went, and they didnt have them anymore. I would sign a petition if there was one (I dont have the energy to start one though).

First time there and it was a good neighborhood bar with a colorful crowd of middle + aged people everybody having a good time listening to karaoke. full menu served until very late at very reasonable price.

This place use to be great when tim and dean ran it these new ppl have no clue how to run a business. The servers are always stressed out and complaining the food is getting bad with more of a wait time and now i find out they fired the best cook barb over a text message bc she didnt answer her phone on her day off. Yeah she might have had out burst but its because u idiots dont know what ur doing. Get out of the business before it fails like ur last jobs but thats a secret nobody know besides me......

I ordered through Grubhub and had alot of extra add ons to my order, which I didnt expect to be correct. Surprisingly, not only was my order prepared exactly as I specified, the food was AMAZING!!Ill definitely return!

Downtown Ollys has the home time flavor. People are friendly food is just out of this world and reasonably priced. Its great that Alis downtown is open 24 hours 7 days a week. Im in for the karaoke night.

Hospitality was some of the worst I’ve ever seen and I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. Waitress was beyond rude, food took forever and it was’nt even cooked all the way through. I don’t know if we just came on a bad night or what but I’m never bringing my business back again.

Their staff is all new. This happened recently. Used to be my favorite place to get chicken strips but the fried foods just arent they same nor is the environment.

Not a good vibe here. Left Cal. Hoping to get a new feel. Heard-same-ol angry vicious talk I could get back home. The bartender took my order after several glances w/o word. When he took my 10 spot, he brought back remainder of approx. $5.50, looked at me and did not leave change. After 10 minutes, I motioned him over, asked for the $5.50. He said that I shooed him away and he took that to mean I meant it as a tip. I havent had that scam played on me by a bartender since the mid-80s. Left feeling like I wanted to take a bath. Sickening.

Its a quaint little bar. You can sit on barstool seats, grab a table, play some darts, or play your favorite songs from an iTunes Jutebox. A traditional alternative hang out. Staff has always been pleasant over the years and its well patrolled to help keep patrons safe as it is open all hours. Only issue Ive had is getting too many phone numbers. Food is affordable and satisfying. They serve it up right!!

Probably the best fried green tomatoes in the city and a generally spectacular breakfast menu. Can get a bit dodgy in the early morning/late night hours.

Went for lunch. Bartender was very friendly. They nailed medium-rare on the ribeye. The music was excellent and created a pleasant atmosphere.

Place used to be Gay friendly. It’s hostile and decrepit. The manger is a lier.

This place is a hop-skip-jump from Methodist Hospital, which is where I have been for two days with my son. Just wanted to get away for a moment and have good food without spending an arm and a leg. Well done Ollys, well done!

This 24 hour dive is the best. I go there for breakfast whenever passing thru town. But its a bar at night and s diner in the mornig when the bar closes. Handsome wait staff.Good menu.

I have been going to this establishment since 1984, it was first Uptown Connection, then Brothers, and now Downtown Ollys. I usually attend karaoke on Wednesday, Saturday, and/or Sunday. Obviously given the length of time I have patronized this location it would be safe to say I usually have a good time. By in large I would concur with that assumption, however last night at karaoke Shantelle was not in a good mood and wasnt about to hide it. Hosting karaoke requires a certain skill-set, it is your job to encourage people to get up and sing, to actually enjoy and embrace the crowd. You put on a happy face and and hopefully help people to forget their cares and woes for a short while. This is your job as a karaoke host to spread cheer and smile even when its hard, if you cant do that your not doing anyone any favors least of all Downtown Ollys.

The food is awesome. Service is quick and friendly. LBGT restaurant/bar. Always a GREAT place to grab a bite or have a drink. With a quaint sidewalk patio.

It had been 15 plus years since I visited this city. An old friend took me here and I loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent but I cant remember her name.

2 tables got their food before us and we were the 1st to order. It took around an hour to get our food as well. I get things come up but communication is always nice to have.

The staff is amazing, the environment is very chill and (usually) no matter how bussy it is everything still comes out on time. The only negative I have with it is that there isnt much space, but that cant really be helped. Everything else is A-Game!

The employees was absolutely amazing they was so friendly and nice kept a nice interesting conversation our whole visit made sure we was taken care of good however the food wasnt the best I got a 🍕 pizza 🍔 burger and it didnt have no flavor at all and my friend got a cheese 🍔 burger and it didnt have any flavor at all so I believe ollys needs to invest in some seasoning when they cook the burgers 🍔

I heard the food is good, however when the wife and I went there we was speechless the inside is a dump with a Capitol D and we set for about 10 mins and nobody ever said one word to us. So we left the place. Will not be going back!!

Came in from out of town, and stumbled on this place. Great bar service, karaoke, darts, and a friendly atmosphere. Stayed up late, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Paid 9 and some change for literally one piece of beef folded in half in-between some. Buns... scammed. Avoid at all cost (door dash, take out, anything.)

So after feeling extremely uncomfortable, after heating ALEX make a comment about myself to LONNIE.... “the guy at the end of the bar, looks like he is going to kill me” and made direct eye-contact with myself, then he tries to be overly nice. At shift change, he proceeds to tell “GRAYSON” (I think that’s his name) so about me to were they both look in my direction.... then, the entire night “Grayson” is now playing on his phone and tending to the people right next to me. I am calling him “Grayson” because I think I heard SHELLY say it... bc he did not speak to me once. AFTER I sat there for 20 minutes waiting on a check and refill... SHELLY came down from the other side to take care of me.... bc “GRAYSON” was sitting at the chair by the atm/kitchen... AGAIN ON HIS PHONE

Its one of the best places to go after hours and eat and drinks are really reasonable and you enjoy yourself. Everyone is friends and willing to make friends there and you cant go wrong here at all ....

They have always mad me feel welcome and have great food thats consistent though out the years. My favorite bartender there is Jonny so ask for him when your there.

This is one of the best spots in indianapolis. If you are looking for a low key 24 he spot. This is it. Karaoke would be better with a better host and library of songs. Id settle for more songs.Speific praise for new bartender jimmy. And whoever is training him on the Wednesday night I am here. Ollys is one of my long time favorites. You wont find better food or drinks for the price that close to downtown anywhere else, whether its 4pm or 4am! Where else can you get a beer at last call to go with your biscuits and gravy breakfast at 3am?
