This is my second time going and I absolutely love Sam. She’s a young lady. She does such a great job. She listens and execute the color and cut just the way I like it in such a beautiful way. I truly appreciate it. Thank you. It’s in Avon so it’s a little bit of a drive but it’s so worth it, she’s always friendly and also the ladies at the front desk are great. Go check them out they have different services to offer besides hair :)

My hubby and I wanted a spa day together and decided on getting Pedicures. I tried to book together but because there was only one nail technician I had to schedule back to back. Which ended up being okay because we both were allowed to go back together and share the experience. Lori was our tech. Very personable and told us about the products she used and why they used them. It was a very nice experience and we decided we would make this an every 8 week thing. Pricing was good.

Had a great manicure and pedicure with Teena ! Friendly and easy to talk with ! Used to go to Tyler Mason many years ago and it is still the best in Indy ! Look forward to next appt !!

The stylist who does my hair is great and the nicest person ever. The only issue I had with my most recent visit was the length of my haircut. It was a lot shorter than what I was wanting. The reference photo had the length just on the shoulders and mine is now about 2 inches above, leaving me with a bob that I have no idea how to style. By the time my hair was dry there was no going back in the length. I just am really uncomfortable with the length of my hair right now. Thankfully it will be to the desired length in a month or so. Other than the length, the haircut was done nicely.

Went to see Lexi today for my 14 year old. She did an AMAZING job. She took time to listen to my daughter about what she wanted, looked at photos and talked with her through the service. While it’s hard to really read my daughter’s face to see how she feels, she has absolutely relaxed about how her hair looks now. We will continue to see Lexi for all her hair needs!! Thank you so much!! 💜

I took a me day. A much needed me day. Did a full day spa day and boy, it was amazing. Not ro have to think about the daily life of work and kiddos. Especially my special needs child. A little expensive but its worthwhile!!!!!

Had a wonderful experience. My granddaughter wanted a hair cut, I hated to do it since her hair was almost to her waist. The girls were fantastic! Upbeat, and very kind, made the experience for me easier, and she felt like the princess that she is. I highly recommend this place. Very clean, and classy.

I had an express manicure and Trademark pedicure. Very nice❗️ Lori the nail tech was very nice and I got a lot of good information from her. She has been at Tyler Mason for 17 years which is a very good sign❗️ I had never been there before but I made future appointments to get both services again. 😃 I did post a picture of the lobby and their brochure for referral for all my friends to see. 😃

Went in excited and left feeling judged and not worth the effort. The statement “it’s reallllly expensive” used repeatedly as if I couldn’t afford the services I was inquiring about. No suggestions other than “ I think you should just leave it how it is” was given to me. Didn’t even attempt to retain me as a client. I don’t get it. Don’t judge a book by its cover ma’am. There are waaaayyyyy too many Salons with amazing stylists in this city . If yall don’t want my business… someone else will be happy to have me and my money.

I hadn’t gotten my hair done in probably over 5 years, I have a lot of hair and I was super nervous trusting someone with it! Sam did nothing less than magic on my hair!! I left the salon feeling so confident and I felt like she really did listen to exactly what I wanted! The salon itself has a great vibe and everyone was so sweet! I highly recommend this salon and I will definitely be returning!

I really enjoyed my experience earlier this week at TMS with Kyla. I chopped about 8 inches off of my hair and did a partial balayage. She also did a beach wave look at the end. So far I’m loving it and plan to be back in a few months for a trim!

I had a facial with Amy on Saturday, 1/27/2024. The facial was extremely relaxing, in a quiet setting…exactly what I needed. My skin felt refreshed & the dull look replaced with a glowing appearance. The assortment of serums, creams & steam treatments were perfect. I enjoyed the entire experience and I would highly recommend!

Its ok.Edit : I never got a chance to visit them again because I was traveling. But I am super pleased with their commitment to make things right. Apart from their response to my review here, they actually took multiple efforts to contact me to discuss how things can be made better. If the business is trying so hard to make their customers happy. They are really good and my 1 time average experience cant be a true mark of who they actually are. I will definitely go back to them any next chance I get.I did go to them again and got disappointed more than before. It is just a greedy business now.

I visited the salon for the first time on Saturday and Kyla cut my hair. She was amazing. So happy, outgoing and friendly. She helped fix a bad previous haircut. My hair looked great and I received a lot of compliments. She recommended great products that I will use. The other staff that helped me were great. I am looking forward to coming back for more work and products.

If you are a guy whos not sure you want to go to a “salon” for a haircut, I definitely recommend giving Tyler Mason a try and ask for Kyla.I recently visited Tyler Mason for the first time, unsure of what to expect as I usually go to Sport Clips for haircuts. While Sport Clips is fine, I often encounter new staff members (high turnover) and cannot make appointments there in advance.However, my experience at Tyler Mason was fantastic. Kyla, my stylist, provided exceptional service, and I couldnt be more pleased with my haircut. In fact, my wife even commented that it was the best haircut Ive had in years!Impressed by the quality of service, I decided to schedule my next appointment before leaving. It had been seven months since my previous haircut, as I tend to postpone these appointments.

Tried to get an appointment for a perm but they said ‘if you’ve never had one with us before then you can’t get one’. So I’m just not allowed a perm with them even though I went to them all throughout high school and they were the place I used for the big hair chop? Kind of sad how this turned out because it just seems like they don’t want any service from me and just saying no cause they can. Glad I didn’t waste gas to go see them.

Ive been here twice for a deep tissue massage, and Tyler Mason does not disappoint! Everyone is friendly, and pre service is relaxed and easy to follow. The masseuse, Amy, does an excellent job explaining the process and checking in throughout the massage. The atmosphere is quiet, calming, and a perfect way to practice self care.

I love this salon!!! It’s hard to find a good one as most people know. I love Emily and she’s so good an knowledgeable. I always take her advice and opinion on what I want. She takes her time to explain things and everyone is super helpful and nice.

We used Tyler Mason salon for our wedding hair and make up and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! They were able to accommodate every request for our party, which included manicures, pedicures, hair styling, and make up for the day of our wedding. They provided our own space for snacks, drinks, and personal items, with sweet little touches such as signage and tours of the building. Every stylist was warm and friendly; every person played a part in giving us a luxury experience! Their prices were reasonable in comparison to the five other salons we had contacted across Indianapolis. We strongly recommend this salon for your wedding day needs!

Brianna did such a wonderful job not only with my hair, but also by explaining every products use and ways to enhance the quality of my hair. She was very professional but personable at the same time.

I visit Tyler Mason on a regular basis & every time I go, they make me feel pampered and beautiful. My stylist is sweet and talented, always friendly. I havent ever had any complaints & I always leave happy. When they wash my hair, I get a scalp massage, my cut and style only takes about 30 minutes. Then I am confident & ready for my day. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful.I have also had a mani, Pedi. Very nice and so relaxing. I love going to Tyler Mason to be pampered and made beautiful.

Very knowledgeable wig specialist that took time to make sure I had no more questions and was happy with the way she trimmed my wig. It was the most expensive hair cut I ever had....not sure I would pay it regularly but to make my wig (necessary due to chemo ) look good the price was not a problem for a wig trim.

Loved it! My nails turned out great and they were so professional and friendly! Got a manicure. Just got my hair done by Lexi, one of their level 1 stylists, and she did great! I love how my hair looks, and she was super nice!

So, I am a guy and this salon has about 85% female clientele so take what I say with a grain of salt if youre looking for quality of womens hair work.The staff is fantastic. They are all friendly and they all give great cuts. They listen and they remember you and when you get into a groove with a specific stylist it is very easy to keep seeing that stylist.I also like that the prices are such that tipping isnt really a thing. The stylists are paid by the company for the quality of their work and it allows me to enjoy the experience without constantly judging each little thing. Its great without having to worry about how great it is and there is just something about a nice scalp massage.Id give it 6 out of 5 if I could. Its a gem in Indy.

I am so glad I decided to finally try Tyler Mason salon. A month ago I saw Melissa for a bang trim and she was amazing. I have a super specific style I want my bangs and she was so thoughtful and thorough - and she understood my needs/picky style! I really enjoyed talking to her, too.I was torn on which stylist to see there because so many of them sound wonderful.For a fresh style and cut, I came in and saw Marliese. She is also fantastic. She was really thorough and did an amazing job reviving my hairstyle! Photo on the left is my new cut for the before/after.Thanks, ladies!!The service at TM is terrific and they also sell quite a few hair products and cute accessories. I highly recommend!

After many years of driving past. I finally took advantage of a gift card I received for my bday, and glad I did. I was always skeptical, if Im being honest, not thinking this salon was for me or black people in general. I still would not stop there for a hair appointment but this salon is so much more. I had a body treatment and loved everything about it. The ladies that helped, the ambiance, even the spa music. The only thing Id change would be water while you wait and a longer session. I think I heard myself snore a couple times Ha! Trish was amazing and comforting. She explained everything and the expectations. She even respected my privacy as I had to switch positions 😌. Great job! Cant wait to visit again.

Finally!!! Found my person! It took about 4 years, but I found an amazing stylist, Alicia, who knows how to cut curly hair. She did a great job at listening to what I was looking for and giving her feedback on what would be good for me. She was very nice, and easy to talk to. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly as well. The prices for cut and style are very reasonable. Definitely recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing every time! No other place like Tyler Mason.

I stopped going here after over going for 3 years. I had a scheduled blow out and the desk person called me and asked me if I would cancel a scheduled blow out so they could do a color. They said ok thanks and hung up the phone with out rescheduling me. I thought that was wrong. They do good work. Remember the more you pay the more educated the stylist!

My children got me the Queen for a day package for Mothers Day! It was an amazing relaxing day and the ladies there were all super sweet! I had so much fun!

I have been here two times so far to get my hair cut/styled. I have been treated great both times and I really enjoyed my visits. I highly recommend Emily. Shes kind,gives you exactly what you ask for and shes great to talk with! Very impressed with her work. Cant wait for my next visit :)

Friendly staff. A very nice atmosphere throughout. I went for a massage. The masseuse conducted herself well and did a very good deep tissue massage. I would recommend this place.

The owner is already expecting this review Im sure. This is in no way a reflection of any stylist on staff at all. As far as the owner goes though? I was told to speak with her about a rescheduled appointment for a redo of a haircut. Im going to make a long story short. Everybody was extremely accommodating and polite.... until I spoke to her. Im not going to run her name through the dirt, and I unfortunately have a great number of shocking remarks that had no merit to be spoken towards me whatsoever flippantly used in our breif conversation about the extremely minor misunderstanding that had taken place in a scheduling mishap. The last thing I will mention is the sarcastic remark she left me with, Would you like me to refund you extra for ALL of your PAIN and SUFFERING?? I never once said anything about pain and suffering. In fact I literally said everybody did a great job up to that moment. So there you have it. Not sure why I deserved that, but hopefully this review will serve as a means to an end. Sorry all. I seriously hate doing this, but that treatment was too obscure not to mention.

Having a Great Hair Day, Every DayFor longer hair styles, the cut is most important. Not a hair expert, I tried a new hair style (at a different salon) that was not a great fit...and needed a fast remedy. Tyler Mason is committed to use organic certified products, which enticed my friend and me to come in.My entire experience was pleasant. Lauren was very professional with recommendations and great advice. After the main cut, she would keep trimming and perfecting the cut as my hair dried. By the end, I was in love with my hair. Lauren listened to my concerns and showed me different styling tips so I could do them at home.Its been 2 months since my hair cut, and Im still in love. You can make a safe bet that Ill be back.

I have been going to Tyler Mason since 2009; they offer more than just your typical hair or spa appointments, they offer an experience. As soon as you step through the door you are greeted by their kind receptionist and you will immediately notice the upscale and comforting decor. My stylist, Rachel, is so amazing as well. She continually not only makes me look great but more importantly makes me feel even better. Every time I leave from my appointment with her I feel as if I just caught up with a good friend. I have never had a bad experience at Tyler Mason and recommend it to anyone looking for more than just your typical haircut.

This was my first time visit at the salon. Had a really great experience for the first time coloring my hair, for which I was so skeptical about. Thankfully, Moriah is fabulous at it, she is interactive and very sweet. She listened to me, made suggestions, and delivered exactly what I was imagining. I just love my hair and the look it bought me.

Ive been going to Tyler Mason for two years now and I have absolutely LOVED every appointment Ive had. Emylee is my stylist and she is the BEST! Upon arrival you are always asked if you would like a beverage and the waiting area is so cute. Not only have I noticed how much healthier my hair is, but my hair is so much longer now! Emylee takes the time to educate me on different products vs drugstore brands and it makes all the difference. The Davines products are the way to go! Although it may seem like a steep price for shampoo and conditioner, but I promise it is so worth it! I only have to buy products every 8-9 months!! Tyler Mason is the place to go!

Very nice salon. I had Bailey and it was my first time there. She did a great job. I have long hair and she knew exactly what I was wanting and how much I was willing to lose so it wasnt so dramatic. Everyone was nice and Ive rescheduled 8 weeks out with my new stylist Bailey 😀

This was my first visit to Tyler Mason Salon. I went for the 60 minute deep tissue massage. Oh. My. Goodness! Amazing! Trish dad a fantastic job getting the kinks out. The salon is clean and comfortable. I booked a return trip soon.

I have been going to this salon for about 10 years, even after i moved to a different city. Historically I have had mostly positive experiences with them and continued going because I trusted them, until I had my last appointment there a few days ago. I dont always go to the same stylist because my schedule varies a lot. The stylist that I had did not tell me her name, which i feel is a basic customer service thing. She barely said a word, which I guess is fine, but made me feel strange. My biggest issue was that she was not upfront with me about the style I was hoping to achieve. I even specifically stated that if I needed to have more than one appointment to achieve the color and style I was going for, I would be willing to do that. She barely communicated with me and i had to ASK how my color turned out after the fact. Not surprisingly, it looked nothing near what I had asked for (even if I was going to come back for another treatment). She had decided to give me a balayage, and i assumed she knew what was best so i agreed. It turned out very streaky and orange. I have been growing my hair out for many years and I invest a lot to take care of it, and now it is ruined, which has made me very sad.So after that devastation, she said she did not have time to style my hair and that she would just diffuse it. After blow drying it for 2 minutes she stated that it was getting frizzy so she was going to stop. I thought to myself, dont you have styling products here? I am not unreasonable and i know that i have long hair so these things take time...but i am paying for these services--its not being done as a favor. So after $210, i left with wet hair that looked as if i did it myself at home. I should have spoken with someone then and there, but was so deflated that i just wanted to leave as soon as possible.I have never once complained after coming to this salon for 10 years. I called in the next day to let someone know of my experience. A front desk person answered and I explained all that happened. She stated that a manager wasnt available but would call me back. About an hour later, the front desk person called back, apparently the manager did not care to address my concerns. She apologized but then made the excuse that the service took a long time and thats why no one bothered to style my hair, completely ignoring the fact that the service in itself was terrible and my hair now looks like trash. She offered me a complimentary blow out that is supposedly supposed to make up for all of this.

Don’t believe the hype. Tried to get an Appt with a really good hairstylist and they kept trying to pass me off to a less experienced one, like a Level1or 2. I don’t want “Great Clips”.This Salon is way overrated. From reading several Reviews, I’m not the only one who didn’t like this Salon or it’s services.

The receptionist was very polite and helpful. My stylist was lovely and very attentive. The wash room area was very tight.

So my bestie and I scheduled a couples day back in February for June 4th. Thats how far out I had to schedule it to get a Saturday appt so we could do a half spa day TOGETHER. I emailed them via their website to schedule all of this and then they confirmed our appts. Anyway, we showed up and they literally had none of our services scheduled together. They acted as if they had no clue what we were talking about. The manager finally came out to talk to us, and said sorry about that but if you stay we will add aroma therapy to your massage for free....thats it? Thats all youre gonna offer. So we decided to leave because we wanted to spend the day together. I explained I exchanged several emails with someone to book the couples room for the half spa day. She kind of acted like if i couldnt produce the emails, then I was SOL. So we chose to leave. I was a huge disappointment. She did apologize and gave us a little sample bag, but she also asked me to email her the conversation...Since it was had back in February, I couldnt retrieve it. Trust me, I wanted to because I felt like it was have truly vindicated us. We werent just making up the situation. Anyway, it seemed like a nice place to have a spa day, but unfortunately we didnt get to experience any of it. I just think so much more could have been done to handle the situation better.

Beautiful salon. I have a tight budget right now but didnt want to skimp on my haircut since I hadnt gotten one in over 6 months. I just asked for a level 1 stylist and got placed with Emylee Cage. I got my appointment for the same day! She did a great job and it was only $35 for a wash, cut, and dry/style. I was offered lemon water when I checked in, and Emylee was right on time for my appointment. The service didnt feel rushed and the shampoo/conditioning treatment was amazing. The products used were the highest quality.

Marliese was absolutely awesome! She understood my issues with my hair and guided me the right way. She definitely has the knowledge and experience with different types of hair. I am absolutely pleased and glad that I returned to Tyler Mason!

By far the BEST salon in Indy! Spa is meticulously managed...from the minute you walk in the door. Offering you something to drink, color consultations before its done, AMAZING hair products, and the staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.I went for the first time today and I am HOOKED.Ashley made my hair look and feel the best it has in a LONG time.The Davines line is incredible and worth the price. A location that would rather a person living in the adjacent trailer park die than have a minor traffic inconvenience and dont deny it. You made West Glenn close their 10th Street side gate because it inconvenienced you. Money over the life of the elderly eh? What a joke.

From the beginning this salon has been absolutely amazing. I first spoke with Jenny about bringing in my bridal party of about 15 people. She was extremely helpful and got everything organized for my group. Bailey did my make up and Marlise did my hair and they both exceeded my expectations. All of my girls looked amazing and they all had different artists with different styles. I even had a slight bridezilla moment with how I imagined the flowers girls hair looking for my wedding day and 2 stylists immediately asked to see a pic of what I was wanting and took the girls back to redo it. I felt bad for complaining but they did not make me feel bad and were more than happy to help make it right. For 15 of us I thought it was pretty affordable . Everybody who works there is extremely professional and you can tell they love not only what they do but the company they are working for. I would recommend Tyler Mason Salon Spa to any brides looking to treat their girls :)

Always a good experience at Tyler-mason. Have yet to have a negative experience. Wait times are generally spot on, all the hairdressers I have met are nice, consistently do a good job. I also like the fact that they are a no tipping salon, price is included.

Tyler Masons stylist, Christina, saved my hair!! Another salon had severely damaged my hair and scalp. Christina calmed my nerves at the consultation and two days later, she fixed my hair beyond my expectations!! She nailed the color, cut and got it silky smooth once more. I am thoroughly pleased and highly recommend this place, especially stylist, Christina.

Ive been getting my hair styled at Tyler Mason Salon for nearly 30 years. Throughout those years Ive received nothing but top notch service and my hair does not look like it did 30 years ago! ALL the stylists are well trained and constantly updating their training in order to provide and teach trending techniques to their clients. As I age, I find that my hair is going through a huge transition. Im finding more colorless hair and hormonal fluctuations have caused my hair to become dry and lifeless. Luckily, the stylists at Tyler Mason are able and very willing to share their knowledge and they know how to keep my hair looking vibrant and as youthful as possible. I wouldnt trust my hair with ANYONE else!!!

Got a half day spa, pedi, massage, & facial. The facial and massage were wonderful, the pedicure was too but the space to get a pedicure was literally a sink you put your feet in, and a wall you lean up against. From my understanding now, there’s an option to “ask for the pedicure chair” but that was never something they offered, therefore i didn’t know it existed. If i’m getting a pedicure shouldnt i already be put in a pedicure chair? Pedicure is $55 (wayyyy to much) just to put your feet in a sink, and sit up against a wall. Not even a real seat. Upgrade your pedicure department please.

I will not be returning to this establishment even though I have been a client for over 5 years. The safety precautions instituted for COVID-19 were beyond ridiculous and did not comply with either state or local government regulations. First, I was required to sign a document stating that I didnt feel ill and then if that wasnt enough, my temperature was taken by the beautician, I guess to confirm my written and signed statement. Because I had just been made to wait in my car for 10 minutes and then walk in from outside in 90 degree temperatures, naturally my body temperature was elevated to 99.5 degrees. This absolutely startled my beautician who then questioned this reading and in her expert medical opinion, considered denying me entry altogether. Finally, I was shown to her chair and was forced to wear a mask throughout both my full color, shampoo and chin-length haircut. Because the beautician was scared beyond reason to be there and to be doing her job, the haircut I received was extremely poor and did not at all reflect the quality of work that I know shes capable of. It is definitely impossible to cut a chin-length haircut properly when the beautician will not let you remove your mask, even for a moment, and will come nowhere near the front of your face, even when your mask is securely on the entire time. Then the checkout girl had the nerve to tell me that the beauticians are now able to take tips! The salon didnt even deserve the rate they charged based on the low-quality COVID-19 hair cuts and color jobs theyre giving these days. My business will only be given to salons who actually follow state and local safety regulations instead of inventing some mockery of stupidity on their own.

We enjoyed a much needed 60 minute couples massage by two fantastic therapists. The service was exceptional and the massage was even better.

I dont normally take my time to write review, but I went in there to schedule a hair and makeup trial for my upcoming wedding and I spent $125.... the job was not good at all. The girl who even did my make up got offended because I didnt like how it turned out. I had to go back and do my winged eyeliner, she poorly did my eyebrows. As far as my hair, I can definitely curl it way better than what the level 4 hair designer did. I do not recommend. Spend your good, hard earned money elsewhere! maybe their spa services are better, but as far as doing hair or makeup go somewhere else. Even later the girl admitted and said their makeup wasnt even that high quality. Seriously though at least for your wedding, dont go here for your hair or makeup. By the way I had the airbrush make up done. The foundation was the only thing airbrushed, everything else was done by brush. Not worth it! the foundation was nice, but everything else was a joke. It turned out nice, but definitely not worth $70 for my wedding, if your spending that much money on your trial, and if they are the official salon for the Colts cheerleaders, you should be receiving MAC quality on make up at the very least. Thankgoodness I did the the trials!

I did waxing and a hair blowout. The ladies were polite the service was excellent. I will be back here again. The prices are comperable to other spas, facilities especially the spa side is very relaxing. Just make sure you book an appointment well in advance unless you have time during the day in weekdays

Emailed a picture of exactly what I needed to have done. Arrived for appointment and the stylist wasnt able to French braid my hair as requested. The email has a set of pictures with directions. I had to go home and do my own hair for my sons wedding that day. Never again will I go here. The atylist acted like I was the one at fault. Said my hair wasnt right for it. But I did it at home myself. With no issue. Since it was for a wedding. Expected a stylist would do it better than I could

Spent entirely too much money (over $300) for my hair... It was supposed to be a color correction but turned out almost the same color I had when I went in...not what I wanted...color still isnt right...in addition to that I paid $55 for my son to get his hair cut and the girl messed his hair up too (different stylist)...seemed to me like she just got out of cosmetology school and didnt know what she was doing...

You feel pampered but never really know what you are going to get as a style. Everyone is really nice great atmosphere.

Horrible service. They cut my wifes hair wrong, despite showing pictures and careful explanation and directly asking if the stylist could do it. When my wife complained the owner said it was her fault and said that she should no longer come back. The owner blacklisted my wife for pointing out how the stylist failed, her hair was a completely different style from the photo,of not even close, but the owner refused to agree. Iknow a few others with similar experience.

This place is wonderful. I have naturally curly hair and, it was hard for me to trust. I have had too many bad haircuts. It took a while at Tyler Mason to find someone who could cut my hair. These folks did not stop until they knew that I was satisfied. I would recommend this salon to anyone and everyone.

Greeted by friendly people at the desk. Arriving early, i was offered a beverage. When my time came, Lanetia (my masseuse) came and retrieved me from the waiting area escorted me to my room, and put me at ease ( this was my first massage). Her hands were magical, relieving stress and aches. Then, i was led to Lori M for a mani/pedi. Again a first, her friendly nature put me at ease. My hand and feet were treated to a fantastic time. I am feeling SO Pampered. HIGHLY recommended

Defenitly not a place to have your nails done. I had a French manicure and they did such an awful job I complain and they said comeback for a redo and when I came back they did an even worse job. Refund I dont think so. They are criminals!
