Mar y Sol Mexican Restaurant

Was in the area for work and decided to look up buffets in the area. Saw that Mar Y Sol had one, so my coworkers and I decided to pop in and see what was up. Hands down the best buffet Ive ever been to. The food was fantastic and the price was right. The selection is somewhat limited if you’re used to the Asian buffets but you have everything you need. The even make the tortillas fresh in front of you, I had no idea how much a fresh tortilla could make a taco so much more enjoyable. The chimichangas were also to die for. Our server didn’t speak English but the service was still really good!

Ceviche was horrible it smelled bad like if it had been sitting for days and it went to waste. I will most definitely not becoming back to eat there ever again and they overcharge I would highly recommend people to go to El Caribe Instead, the prices are better, and the food is way better than Mar Y Sol and It’s just up the street

To start off experience terrible. I got the fajita and the rice and beans are cold and the guaca taste really bad ! 10/10 do not recommend!!! Water tasted like bleach

In there not long at all But the time I spent in was Awesome music and Dancing thats whats up..

Our first time ordering from here was good and then the last 2 Xs has been just disgusting & very disappointing meat tastes expired and the guac is super runny and we paid almost $17 for nachos supreme and what we got was Nasty thrown together chips and a little meat … DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!…..

Only reason for marking down one point is the food bar ran out of chicken. Everything was delicious. Food was amazing. Service and staff were very friendly. Will definitely stop in meet time Im in town!

Great street tacos. $2.50 each.

First time been here since Im out of the state. This is one of the best Mexican food Ive had for a really long time! I really like the fresh out of the grill tortillas. Its so fluffy & light. All other Mexican restaurants I always throw away the tortillas, but at this place I asked for more. Also, I love the thin cut steak/beef. Food is just right, not too salty. The salsa and side sauces have awesome kick of spiciness. Just delish & not disappointing.

Worst place ever !!! Poncho is so rude I came in on a Sunday night and he tried reselling me three beers that some dudes left in their bucket. Poncho came so rudely and aggressively came and tried selling me beers that were left in a bucket that were purchased already and the guys left . It wasnt about the money but the way how he made feel and in front of my guest. The guys who left took three beers hidden in their sweater and I asked the bartender of I can have them but they try to resell beer after it was left behind.

The place is a bar on the weekends, so we were a little worried about stopping. But we are glad we did and if you like freshly made tortillas this is the place to come. They make the tortillas fresh for every meal not for the whole table. Like other places we have been too.

The music is extra extra extra extra extra extra extra.. did I say EXTRA loud for no reason, and it wasnt many people in there for it to be as loud as it was. You cant talk to the person at the table with you. They take forever to take your order, but when it finally arrived, the food was delicious. Its not really a place you should bring your kids. And, if you dont speak Spanish, expect to get ignored. Oh, even if you do speak it but look like you dont. Youll still get ignored. The drinks are good but over priced.. have fun at your own risk.

Ordered food online and they never made it until delivery person showed up. Completely unprofessional. No one was there to greet u and when someone finally did come. She took my phone to write down the order. Told me 5 minutes. 10 minutes later....still no food... And no one to even ask.... Inside was nice though.

Awesome little hidden spot for me! I loved the huge bar and the food is delicious. El personal no es nada amigable pero tampoco grosero. The personal is not friendly but would not treat you bad either. It will be amazing if they all could smile more.This place has beautiful, clean mansion look and stocked restrooms! also has a pool table, and I’ve heard it offers Karaoke and dance nights on weekends. I have not been there at night but I am planning visit for second time this Saturday to check our the dance floor.

Rumba Saturday was awesome! Great atmosphere. Drinks were overpriced but we will definitely be back. The music was too loud though.

Nice atmosphere. The chicken enchiladas were good, except I ordered white sauce but got verde, the beef and chicken tacos were very dry! I wanted to try for the first time, but probably wont make it back any time soon.

I enjoyed it. I was worried at first because when we walked in there was nobody else there. The food was really good. NOT CHEAP..I did not like that they did not have tea but this place is good

I walked in for dinner and the whole restaurant smelled awful, as if an entire family of diners just threw up all over the floor. I couldn’t be inside even a minute, let alone eat there.

Their food was amazing!! Me and my date ordered the fajitas de carne and enchiladas de Rojas. We even got cucumbers and tajin. Their salsa and dips were incredible.Would definitely come here again when Im back in town.Place was incredibly clean, prices were amazing. They have really yummy looking seafood we well.Everyone wore masks as they were walking around and kept distance where needed as well.

Great food and drinks. They hand made corn tortillas with my meal and omg they tasted so good. Buffet was awesome and the Margarita left me feeling great. I will be going back without a doubt.

I am here right now, food is good but the service is HORRIBLE!!! Not sure what her name is but she has short black hair and was bar tending. She made a Long Island for me that was spicy. I didnt ask for spicy I asked for a regular Long Island. When I tried to return it for something else she just looked at me and said you cant return and walked away. When we sat down she greeted us by saying you want food or no?. By far the worst place that I have been to in a long time. I will continue to go to Los Rancheros.

The food itself tasted good. With 4 orders, one order was wrong, 2 orders were missing tortillas and thats super sad with fajitas. We also ordered the Nachos Supreme to share, they tasted alright but we would not order them again. We were expecting a something a little better than a mexican fastfood.

Need better control on how much alcohol is being service so we dont have their customers driving out intoxicated.

This place was not disappointing. Had the 7mares and it was good. Asked for the hot salsa and it was close to my Moms good Salsa. Try the dark green and red. Came back second time had the molcate. The micheladas are recommendable.

Delicious authentic Mexican food. They have menu and buffet options. I normally go for the lunch buffet which is amazing, everything tastes home made, just like what I grew up with in Mexico. My favorite Mexican spot in the Indy area, Ive been there 3 times this week alone!

Good food and the karaoke is fun. Guards at the door makes you wonder how bad is the area but feel secure at the same time.

Very good selection. Not just the typical Mexican dishes. Loved the Ceviche and the spicy cucumber complementarity appetizers instead of the typical chips and salsa. Molcajete was really good although a little dry.

The buffet is very nice, the homemade tortillas made right in front of you were outstanding!! A must try.

If its not the lunch Bar; This place is extremely pricey. The service is horrible. Did not feel a diverse welcome. Ohhh my Brown people; Black people spend and Tip good money also.

The best Friday lunch buffet, ever, I live in las vegas the buffet capital of the world, the food @ mar y sol are so far is above the rest, highly recommended the seven sea soup, I had 4 bowl.

Nice little bar with a few friendy people but this is no place to salsa dance or bachata with people of skill. The dance floor did cumbia to salsa music. The dj plays a lot of cumbia, merengue and traditional Mexican music mostly. There were a lot of guys trying to dance with girls who only wanted to dance with each other. Could be boring or frustrating if you dont do the Mexican 2 step.

The most authentic tacos in this side of town! Weve been almost once a week for a while. Only complaint is their extra charges on the bill.

They dont serve well, I went and no one attended to us until I asked them, we asked for a bucket and we waited 20 minutes and nothing...

It is not a trustworthy place because there are people who steal your belongings regardless of whether they leave you without the keys to your own car and even worse, the owner of that place does not want to check the cameras at the time, the waiters themselves can be complicit in everything when cleaning the tables 🤬🤬🤬

I placed an order and the waitress was so angry and she didnt even serve me, I waited 1 hour and she never listened to me, I just wanted to eat, shes the new one who wears glasses mmm and I dont know what her name is, how bad-tempered

The night is good but change that DJ a lot of music repeats I think it has to have more variety I agree that there are only about 30 songs but there are many and in the bathrooms you see strange things
