Wasnt a bad place to eat, Ive been here twice now. I went both time around 5 so there was only like 3-4 people in there. Food was good. I got the blt wrap, bacon was crispy and frys which werent bad. My friend got the steak and potatoes. It took a little long to cook because they had to heat up the grill. Which wasnt a problem, all in all wasnt a bad place to get dinner if you like bar food

Absolutely love !! My wife and I were looking for a new Friday night hang out ! This is it, cold beer, great food, great staff. Thank you Paula for making us feel welcomed

Could not believe what happened tonight!! Pacers were in overtime!! And what happens?? That dam karaoke woman turns her sound system up so dam loud you ears would bleed!!! What the hell!!! Couldn’t wait 5 more minutes!!! I can’t stand stupid!!!We will never ever set foot in that bar again!!!I hope other people who were there to watch the game and not to get their ears blown off… will find other places to watch the game. How dam rude can you get!!! Shame on the owners, and staff for allowing this behaviorDone done done!!!!

Good place for sports? BULL! Pacer game goes into OT and they allow the Karoke to turn on their music and LOUD so no one could hear the game. you just lost multiple customers because of your lack of common sense. What a ridiculous display of priority.

Random stop and we are super impressed. Great food (grilled tenderloin and stuffed burger) plenty of craft brews, good liquor selection and the owner and bartender make great company. Will definitely be back.

The food never disappoints. Karaoke on the weekends, extremely busy.

This neighborhood bar has great food and atmosphere. A must-have is a steak and stuffed burger. Donna and Leslie are my favorite bartenders

Went around 12:30pm on a Saturday, and it was extremely tasty. The food took a while, but it was well worth the wait. We tried onion rings, cheese curds, wings, the pretzel bread stick, deep fried meatballs, the char-grilled burger, the chef salad, the Mac and cheese, the potato chips, and the 1/4 lb hotdog, and it was all some of the best food wed ever had. The waitress was also extremely nice, and Id imagine its a fun place to drink and eat later in the night. I highly recommend! Just know your food will take at least 30-45 minutes to come out.

I would love to leave a lengthy and detailed review but I never even got to order. Where do I start? I have NEVER felt so uncomfortable at a place. Lets just say it doesnt feel exactly POC friendly. From the moment we walked in, the entire pub looked at us in confusion. We came in because we were excited to try karaoke and the food looks good. We proceeded to sit down anyway. We sat there for over 30 minutes without even being acknowledged. The waitress walked past our table SEVERAL times without uttering a word. A mere hey give me a moment would have been acceptable. We didnt even get that. We felt unwelcomed to the point that our entire group just got up and left. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Spontaneous trip out to watch the colts game. they gave door prizes out and jello shots everytime the colts scored!!! i was super impressed!! the food was good as well!! pepperjack cheeseballs, homemade chips and buffalo wings

1st time at the Tailgate, its actually a nice little place. I was there for karaoke and I also ordered something to eat, I must say that an order of chicken kabobs took nearly an hour to get. They wasnt too terribly busy but I guess its because they cook their meats on a charcoal grill which as we all know, it adds to the flavor. Ill try them again and see how long it takes, I did notice the filets looked to be pretty good sized. The reason for 3 stars is because of the nearly hour wait for my food.

A place I use to frequent. Went there tonight had a very hard time getting the server/bartenders (Kim) attention. She was to busy socializing with her friends. Once I was able, I ordered the special, half dozen boneless wings and beer battered potato wedges. The wings were offensively small and the first bite was grainy and disgusting, to the point I had to spit it out. When i told her, she took them away but still tried to charge me. Horrible experience.

Food is available, if your color of skin is pale. Old men to harass you are just waiting for you to walk in. Bartender stuck their finger in the draft beer before serving.

One of our favorite Friday night places to hang out. The food is great and the music video bingo is my favorite way to end a week!

Walked in around 2:35. Sat in a booth. Waitress, outside of asking us what we wanted to drink and then dropping them off, NEVER came back to us. She stood behind the bar texting the entire time. She didnt even notice it when we left. She asked if we knew what we wanted as soon as she laid down the menus, never had even been here. Idk, just wont be going back to try it. Even though I wanted to 😔

Great little community of Karaoke dinners on Fridays! The Dj was super friendly, and although they seemed understaffed in the servers department, the owner was really nice. Good appetizers and strong drinks. Will be coming back for sure.

Great place to go if you have a half an hour to waste. Past two times I’ve tried to go I have sat down and not even been able to place a drink order within 20 mins, and walked out with nothing but wasted time. Use to eat here a couple times a month, food is great service is terrible. After this last time I won’t be back sadly.

This was my second visit here, first time it was very slow but they seemed to be short staffed and they were very busy. The buffalo chicken wrap was decent. 2nd visit was horribly slow and they werent that busy. I ordered a fish sandwich which was soaked in grease and not sure why it wouldnt be included but she asked if I wanted everything on it which I said yes, and inquired about tartar sauce. Every fish sandwich I have ever had comes with tartar sauce. It was an additional. 75 for this little cup that I didnt know until i received my bill.

Food is good here. We always order steak and baked potatoes, it was good as always.

Absolutely terrible service and staff, ate my entire meal without a drink. Bingo night, maybe hire more staff or fire and find better. Been here 1.5hrs as of writing and have gotten no service while I watch the lady tend to literally every table but ours. Last time for sure. Wings are also meh

OMG!!!! Forget all the Steak chain restaurants. Geez Mondays is the day to come and chew in the best steak ever in Southside Indianapolis. COME HERE!!!! My experience is 42 countries, top reviewer and local. I love my steak medium rare... This biz delivered! Hidden gem for sure. Customer service ❤️ Yesss! Come try it!

Honestly, this review is just about their pretzels.They are the best pretzels I ever had!I drive about 20-30 minutes just for that!!! Amazing

The night I was there was very chaotic. The placed was packed no Social distancing w/ one waitress who was both trying to man the bar and work the room. At that time bars were still only supposed to be at 50% occupancy. Management screwed up big time!

We ordered two breaded tenderloins 1 with fries one with onion rings. Tenderloins were thinner than normal they were tough overcooked dry , onion rings there were only 4 they were over done fries were fine. Very , very, very disappointed we haven’t ordered before everything was good, great that’s why we ordered again HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT THIS TIME RANDY AND MARIAN DONNER

The food was excellent. I had a sirloin and being prepared on a charcoal grill made it perfect.And for dessert I had homemade ice cream. Best Ive ever had. Whens the last time youve had homemade ice cream?

Just basic bar food but we had a really fun time. All the people were welcoming and fun. Id go back if I was in the area...and it was game day.

I just picked someOne up they play euchre up there for money they won he’s one everybody’s one of their but I haven’t been in there but looks like a good place

Amateur hour. Bartender whos been tending bar for 23 years has never heard of an Olde fashioned or whiskey sour. One scotch and one irish whiskey. And 1 obnoxiously loud owner at the bar treating this place like his basement. The cleanliness is probably only contributed by its relative youth but still worth an extra star. This place is probably fine if you drink like a college sorority.

The most racist place Ive ever been to. I definitely felt out of place and no serviced me but everyone stared. Not a place for people of color at all.

Thats what The Tailgate offers you; and i mean that in the best possible way!!!From the first time you walk in, youre family. By the end of the night, likely filled with karaoke or one of the weekly games they offer, theres a pretty good chance youve been given a nickname or an inside joke has been born. The owner, Paula, is the sweetest mom the family has, but trust and know shes as quick witted as the regulars at the bar. The food is all fantastic and original family recipes. The drink specials are well priced and not overthought.I urge everyone to check this place out. Never know, you may enjoy being known as a Crunch Berry (too bad that nickname has been taken).

Food was OK, but i called before coming to make sure they had wheelchair access and they told me yes. The woman on the phone sounded confused even after I explained what a wheelchair ramp was. When we got there, guess what, no wheelchair ramp. The same woman that answered the phone seemed like she didnt care that she made a mistake.

Horrible service.Our first visit was our last.We (2 people) had been waiting 50 minutes for our food; we ended up leaving when we saw someone who arrived 25 minutes after us had received their food.(We only got waters so we didn’t “dine and dash”).

Stuffed pepperoni and mozzarella burger was excellent. The pretzel sticks were very good also. Good overall service and good food. Would recommend to anyone looking for pub food.

I came in for the Colts game and a friend came in for the Blackhawks game. We both asked at different times for one of the TVs to be turned to the Hawks. We were initially told no and then they agreed to switch it only to find out they dont get the channel. I had ordered a beer and noticed after I received it that there was lipstick all over my glass. Was one of the worst experiences Ive had here.

A lot of food it homemade here. Chili, soups, wing sauce, chips, crutons,and etc. Great drink specials and fun things to do during the week and the staff is excellent. Dont pass up this place

I ordered a Long IslandvIce Tea .... It was the worst I have ever had .... I was very disappointed .... Took forever to be waited ..... 7 people left because they didnt get waited on in 30 minutes .... then the drinks be terrible but the band was good .... The only saving grace

Small bar... Shuffle boarding school... Been there a few times it was karaoke night. Basically is what you would expect of a small bar, nothing more nothing less.
