Absolutely love this venue. They always bring in bands that most other places wouldnt give them time of day and treat them well. The bar had excellent service and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Definitely recommend going to a metal show here!

I came from Georgia to see Sebastian Bach. The sound is fantastic and the bartenders are hella cuisine service oriented. Loved it here.

Hooligans is a local music venue with great music and great people. I have been to this venue many times and I havent had a bad experience. I recommend wearing hearing protection because the sound is louder than most other venues and may cause pain after many hours of exposure. Hooligans has upcoming and large artists come through all the time, so be on the lookout for your favorite artist.

Went to the Trapt concert. First opener was good the second opening band was a let down. They tried to hard to be rock stars and not enough time on practicing their songs. Trapt played great as well. Wish the had been more seets available in the back.

We didnt intend to end up in a club.The restaurant we were at that had a pool table closed at 1, and we were recommended another establishment nearby that provided pool.We dont often get a night out without our kids, so we were trying to make the most of it.Unfortunately, upon arrival, that establishment was closing.I remembered someone recommending Hooligans to us, and we assumed it was just a regular restaurant/sports bar.We arrived, and its a legit club. My bad for not doing proper research 😂It was mostly empty (until later) and had pool tables, so we stayed.The bar service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We played a couple rounds and left.Being the absent minded person that I am, I accidentally left my phone and the card for our bar tab...I called the next day when they opened, and our stuff was still there.They asked for descriptions of the items before saying they had them, which I really appreciated because my phone has no password or lock.Money, pics, and the phone itself could have been taken and I would just have been out thousands of pics of my kids, money, and the phone.While we wont be back because we arent in to the club scene, we truly appreciated the hospitality and the honesty of our community in general! If youre looking for a bar, I would recommend them! Great establishment!

People need to market better, there is great potential waitress was so nice I went to the comedy night they are trying. Should have some food snacks popcorn or nuts I left because I was hungry.

The place is great. Lots of events, staff is polite and friendly, and the layout it fantastic. Only wish they were open more than just the weekends

My favorite live music venue in the area. I live an hour+ away and frequent all the time. The variety of music and events is amazing! Definitely recommend! Safe and comfortable environment on any occasion. Def a great place to spend an evening! 🤘

Didnt try any food if they serve. Bartender was relatively quick considering it was fairly busy. Love going for the music, but it always seems the vocals never are quite loud enough. The stage is square and could be the reason for this. All in all, I always seem to have a great time. 👍

I usually avoid Hooligans because it is not my crowd and has had a certain reputation for being a bit rough/dangerous. A friend of mine was playing dualing pianos there so we have gone several times now. Definitely need to check it out! Seems like they are trying to change their reputation a bit and its good. Blazin Keys Entertainment and Casey T. Cotton will definitely help. Forget dualing pianos in Myrtle Beach, come check these guys out. I will say though, getting wanded and frisked is a bit off putting but somewhat understandable in todays society.

There is no good here. The service has been just mediocre when Ive been. (Oddly theyve always only had one bartender on staff no matter the size of crowd Ive seen.) Atmosphere... well, they must miss being able to smoke in a building because they tend to overcompensate with smoke machines.

Compared to a West Coast club, nowhere even close. Opens at 8 pm, nothing starts to happening till after 11pm. The bartender was good. Drinks were on the weak side.

Quaint and friendly place...on the smaller side but having multiple bars within operating, it was rather quick to get a beverage. No complaints about the actual place other than the lack of parking (get there early for larger names being played) but thats beyond their control. Drink prices are a little out of norm (high) but maybe that is their norm. Definitely worth checking it out for bands, etc!

Vibes ok, Saturdays are the best. DJs music choice made it feel like a lame high school party. Had to turn in bottle opener at the front since they considered it a sharp object, only for some security girl to try and steal it later. Take that however you will.

Went here for a concert on Sunday. Only complaint is that they were about 20 minutes late opening the doors, the security checkpoint was pretty slow, and it was really hot and humid. But once inside the a/c was awesome. The acoustics in the stage area were great. Staff was nice. Bartenders and server was cute. Bathroom is kind of small but luckily it wasn’t too busy. I’ll definitely will go back.

Ive seen so many bands here and all of them in the summer time. Great venue. Great sound. And it is so excruciatingly hot in there by the end of the night. Hydrate, people.

I thought this was just a little Irish bar that had shows but it turns out to be a bar with a full blown performance space/venue. I read some previous comments about the security guards being overzealous but had no problems with them there. The extra bar on the venue side is a nice touch, the drinks were good, fairly priced, and the bartender was nice. The bathrooms were indeed small but if thats the only complaint that you can muster up about a bar youre reaching so I think that they are doing pretty well. I just wish that they got more acts that I was interested in seeing.

The Team and Staff at Hooligans is always on point and does the best at keeping things smooth and making sure those there are safe. They continue to bring the best shows around.

I celebrated my 21st birthday here last night and really had an amazing time. The bouncer CJ was super nice and fun, and Kat was a super great bartender. It was my first time at a bar and she hooked me up. I will definitely be back!

There was a really good atmosphere, VIP elevated seating is well worth it. The higher seating made it easier to see the stage. Bartenders were very friendly and on point!! Will definitely be going back, had a great evening!

Sound, lights, and staff are some of the best in the entire state. One of my favorite venues to shoot at. Always a great time and it’s easy to tell that they’ve invested heavily in the place to bring you an amazing show every single time.

So bad things first; EXTREMELY small bathrooms. Bouncers are rude at entrance. ATM inside is out of service and the bar is cash only. Understaffed on bartenders so the bar runs a little slow.Good things; Bartenders themselves are great. They even take an effort to learn new drinks from customers. The place is clean. The DJ is very good, and keeps the dance floor moving. The pool tables are actually nice which is hard to come by in Jacksonville bars and clubs.

Refreshing this review 5 years later, and the 5 stars still stands! Awesome venue full of local support and amazing staff. Drinks are always good, shows always smack, and Hooligans always gives their best. 🔥

Sometimes the drinks are a little strong, but this place is honestly the only spot for the best adult entertainmentBands, midget fights, fire shows, kareoke ect.This place has the best of Jacksonville and more. Definitely geared for a younger crowd. I wish they had more places like these in town.

This was a fun place to go hear some great music. Good drinks, good people, good music. We drove from TN to go see Echostone and they did not disappoint!

The floor was so sticky that my flip-flops constantly kept getting stuck to the floor in the concert area!

Went there this past Saturday and it was lit! Security was tight, it seems every club around Jacksonville requires a patdown before you enter (I even had to remove my hat lol) music was Okay, drinks were good and averagely priced for the area. All and all a decent place if your looking to just go out on a Saturday night.

Hooligans is a classic gem of Jacksonville. People from all over North Carolina know about Hooligans. It’s an awesome place to go have some drinks, play some bar games, maybe sing some karaoke? Go! It’s fun!

Played an opening act for CKY a few weeks ago. Great bar, great place for live music. Would definitely return for more.

Great venue to watch our favorite bands perform. Only thing I would change is to have another ladies bathroom. 2 stalls in the entire place and I noticed the guys have 2 bathrooms. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Was treated horrible, couldn’t find a seat during a show and one of the workers approached me and said I was causing a disturbance walking around cause he got complaints. I started to explain but he didn’t want to hear my reason and then was told I had to leave. I just got there and had a full beer. I told them I’m going to finish my beer and I would like my $10 back. They threaten to call the cops on me. So I left. What a horrible place. I still don’t understand what that was all about.

I dont care who didnt have a good time seeing saving able . I can tell you the one person whom enjoyed every band was me. Fist time out in over two year I hope you all enjoyed my vibe. Love me some me

Went to see Jadakiss this past friday. The performance was good. However they were definitely SCAMMING people. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. My husband & i had purchased weeks before $150 meet & greet for 2 people $300 total. Like any other concert or event, that ticket should be your way in the, girl upfront had no idea what was going on, we showed her our tickets and she goes i think you have to pay to actually watch the show the meet & greet is separate?! WHAT?! since when?! and the website didnt state that either?! We had already drove over an hour to this spot bc we truly wanted to see Jadakiss. She claims to have talked to the OWNER charges an additional $70 per person $140 but the general admission was $50?!!!!!! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!! I mean what?!!!!! Than an additional $100 for VIP & when yall making transactions this big yall should definitely provide receipts. I ended up chatting with another customer and SHE SAID SHE HAD PURCHASED A MEET & GREET & WAS NOT CHARGED ANYTHING ADDITIONAL.Either they couldnt afford to pay the artist & were being greedy or the girl upfront was scamming either way it was ridiculous & unethical . Extremely unprofessional, i will definitely be exposing them ‼️‼️‼️‼️please save your coins for a place thats actually professional and organized‼️‼️‼️‼️ I cant believe how greedy some businesses are!!!! Its disgusting

Ive been to Hooligans multiple times. Fun place to be on a Saturday night if the music is hitting that night. It has been a while due to the fact that I just cant get into the music the DJ plays all that much and believe me Ive tried. In my personal opinion if they played more 2010s pop club hits, I know Id be able to get into that. Im not that into hip hop and rap music

Sounds acoustic/reverb is terrible. Couldnt understand a word of songs I know. Drinks are a bit expensive. The plus side...the staff were extremely polite and very helpful...outstanding staff.

I was stationed there in 1981. Its exactly like it was then and lots of fun dancing and the dance a thon contests. I miss it all. It used to be called PJ,s

Music is awesome for dancing and its a good time however the 20.00 minimum is ridiculous especially when you can go other places and drink with a minimum of10.00... they have a vip section but its not worth the 40.00 a person at all. It seems a little over priced overall.

They had Dj Luke Nasty here , loved it. This place always brings in celebrities. Missed the Dru Hill concert but will definitely be following them on Facebook to catch all the events.

Hiphop and dance club primarily a place for people into urban culture. Awesome vibes especially on ladies night. Perfect for people who are use to city clubs. 4 stars because many tend to over drink and fight but the bouncers do a great job of neutralizing situations especially bike mike!

Security staff threatened to remove me when I told a drunk guy that if he came at me again I’d clock him, mine you this was the 3rd time he’d come at me and he had been spoken to and was allowed back inside. When I spoke to the owner she yelled at me and told me I shouldn’t have left (which I left because I felt unsafe). Won’t be back too bad too it’s a cute little place

Saturday nights always bring in good crowd. Dj rara knows what hes doing behind the turntables. $10 cover for 21 and up. Not a bad spot here in j-Vegas.

I never went there but...my old GreatDanePitt did..on New Years Eve...after breaking thru our fence. They cared for him..fed him and even took him in so he would be safe. Thats a 5 star for me!!❤Update*** remember my dog I mentioned that Hooligans helped out?Well, one dude who works there was fostering my dog while my fence was being repaired. As a disabled person, I depended on another to fix my fence.The dude never got back to me nor returned my texts or frantic calls. The people at Hooligans, his friends and co-workers refused to help me get my dog back. I never saw my sweet boy again.The dude also disappeared, supposedly.I will never get over this cruel person taking away my retired service dog, who was with me thru so much including a leg amputation. Joseph Brown, karma will certainly follow you and your friends who helped you steal my sweet boy

Its weird. They play nothing but rap n reggae. But you have to dress like youre going to a boys 11 men concert or you cant get in. No hats, joggers or plain tees

I went on st.patricks day (a Thursday) it wasnt that many people but the music great. The dj was awesome and had pop, rap, oldies, plus more mix. It was great.

Hooligans is one of my favorite spots to party when I want to have a night out, with no worries. The bartenders are good, security is spot on, and the environment can be electric.

I am a regular at hooligans and i love the night manager velvet and the dj ryry plays the best mixes.. The only downfall is how crowded it can get and the fights that happen almost every weekend.. And since dec after i leave i hear about a shooting happening in the neighbouring parking lot.. I love this place but there are downfalls..

The bouncers were super cool and the drinks were awesome. Only four stars because the drinks are over priced and the music had awkward transitions sometimes.

Good selection of micro-brewed beer.Attracts too many kids. And murders. lol.Neat fact is that its the only bar in Jacksonville (maybe even all of Onslow?). Meaning, you dont need to have membership. There is a retarded law in NC that outlawed bars (it requires bars to be private clubs and enforce memberships) and this is the last remaining bar... but a friend said they might have changed that law in the last couple years... cant find anything on it!

The billboard by wal mart is out dated. Women are charged for Saturdays all night. And water is a dollar. False advertisement really ercs me.

Unless there is a concert or any live music this is lame. $2 drinks on a Thursday but minimum $20 for a tab. Bar is sure dead. I would rather stay in and drink alone.
